November 9th Holy Spirit Novena
Scripture selection is Day 7 Period I.The Novena Rosary Mysteries
for November 9th are Sorrowful.
Acts 2: 1-4
"When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves
Messenger: Come Holy Spirit enkindle the fire of your love.
A night watchmen went out to guard the building.
He felt all was secured inside and he went to
check out the grounds. He went out in a little walkway
that surrounded the building and on it he saw a
man, just sitting on a ledge.
The man was ready to speak — "how goes it fellow,
he said, you know I really guard this building myself -
you should not worry. People come sometimes and
they see me and then they leave because they cannot
damage a place with one watching — they always do
their crimes in secret. Once as I stood here a man came
with a rock and approached that window — he didn't
see me and I moved up in his vision and then he
threw down the big rock and ran. I said to myself,
boy it was good I was here and I moved the rock and
then relaxed for another night. At day break some
ladies came together — usually people don't work
together working on this building and they just looked
like they were "nosey" or something. I never saw
them again.
The moral to this story — what you do in the
dark, will be seen in the light.
A small child can be abused, neglected or treated
so dishonorably by adults they may fear life long.
Fear can be part of many people's lives, it can
help us run from trouble, it can get us to not do
what we are supposed to.
On the other side of someone else's heart can
be tremendous wounds from childhood, abuse,
fear for things being safe, lessons learned to scan
the atmosphere to see an angry or sullen looking
person and when they do that they begin the play in
their head. They just picked the first actor — the one
mad at them and then the rest of the players fall
into line and they provide the same script over and
over again. They were treated badly as a child
so they need one to play the role — mean mom
or dad and then they act out their victim
role — one last time they think — to work out
the unfinished business of the past —
The movie is called —
He robbed me of my needs
And now I act out age old anger.
They study the corners of the mouth of their
sullen candidate and tell themselves
how they have hurt them and
then the movie begins —
The movie is run on old anger (like electric
to a real screen) watch the scene —
a place — people —
Pent up anger, hatred unforgiveness is
acted out in us sometimes. Anger is
very destructive when one harbors it like
a loaded gun.
To be involved in any relationship with them
is to watch love — turn to hate — distrust —
acting out hatred for parents or whoever abused
them on innocent others.
There can be grave disorder in the person's
life. God has given us the natural law to abide
by. God has given us the commandments.
God gives us His Word. God has given us the Church.
A person who does not want any authority over
them can neglect these governing tools of God —
give into anger, greed, selfishness, lust, pride
and blame someone else habitually while they
take no responsibility for life long harbored anger.
When a man looked back to childhood and thought
of his dad — he was watching a little boy be bullied
by a big man who was angry, very angry himself —
his dad before him may have had very bad
angry habits and now the man plagued by pain,
discord, generational anger, weaves a net of
conflict, dissent, for those around him. He
has little real intimate relationships because
if he opens the door to his heart — he may then
close it like a hard box and begin acting out
age old pain, projecting his hatred on innocent
others and watching them fall.
Life is to be lived in peace and harmony
and love. Not love-hate relationships — Loving
God and being filled with His Light — being like
a little spiritual baby — cooking in the
tender oven of Mary's Immaculate Heart.
Letting the fire of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
burn off the rough edges of our heart and
engulf us in His everlasting flame of love.
I love the prayer "Mold Me Mary."
Oh Mother of us all we are but the poor
banished children of Eve, We have been set on this
stage on the surface of this earth. I can see a
scar on my body from age 3 when I am 80 years old
of when the little bike went through my little
knee and I had to get some stitches, but God,
a prudent person does not close their eyes to
a bag of anger carried on their back life long and
pass it on to children, adults, all who surround
them.
Because of the fall man seeks dominance — just
wanting ones way — in marriage one learns to give
and take and become other focused. A person
in the single religious life is married to God, they need to
especially love God, be empowered to imitate
Him and His ways — working with each other
in a community for a religious can help them
grow out of old imperfect habits and be more
like Jesus.
God calls us to be a light — Mary obeyed
the Father — Mary is the most perfect disciple
of Jesus.
I rarely watch any television any more. God
has called me to write about His truth — I can
watch television and see the bending of what
once was obedience to the commandments. I
have a responsibility to not be numbed by the
sins that are accepted by many in the world — to
keep my focus as purely as possible on the truth —
not to pacify myself by allowing my measuring
stick for what God wants to be changed in
any way by the world.
I am in the world and I deal with the
problems that surround me, but I cannot
in good conscience sit and listen to shows
for past time. Once in a while I may be
forced to listen with someone in the family and
I see how very far the world is from many
of the things God wants.
Purity is everything to me, but hidden
tendencies — old habits — old wounds — fits
of anger — seeking pride, dominance, jealousy
can be, because of our wounded human
nature, a problem in our lives continually.
Blindness to this keeps us stuck.
I saw Mary and she was covered with light
and so sweet and gentle. Fr. Carter always
supported me to run the Movement. He
was the spiritual director. He was always
there. He spent time with me and I wondered
how I was so blessed.
Today 6 years after his death, I carry on
his vision and God is blessing us. We have
been praying for the priests, the Church and the
world for 12 years —
Trying to begin these prayer chapters and
circulating the Newsletter in some form
from the past writings of Father Carter for almost
12 1/2 years.
My focus is to carry out this mission
as Jesus told Fr. Carter.
Because of the fallen human nature of
men — we do many things that hurt ourselves
and others.
1 Corinthians 15: 20-28
In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first–fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first–fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

God has given us the Virgin Mary —
Immaculate —
the singular vessel
We give ourselves in consecration to
her Immaculate Heart, our
spiritual womb to be more as
God wants us to be.
We spread the devotion to His Sacred
Heart — despite all our bad habits
we recognize that God is over us.
We don't act like Eve who wanted to be equal
to God.
When we make our own rules — it
is easy to see how a person can
disobey the commandments,
change their focus from obeying to
bending the rules.
God tells us how we must obey.
Romans 1: 1-6
From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the service of the gospel that God promised long ago through his prophets in the holy scriptures.This is the gospel concerning his Son who, in terms of human nature was born a descendant of David and who, in terms of the Spirit and of holiness, was designated Son of God in power by resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ, our Lord, through whom we have received grace and our apostolic mission of winning the obedience of faith among all the nations for the honour of his name. You are among these, and by his call you belong to Jesus Christ.
Romans 5: 19-21
Just as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man’s obedience are many to be made upright. When law came on the scene, it was to multiply the offences. But however much sin increased, grace was always greater; so that as sin’s reign brought death, so grace was to rule through saving justice that leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Corinthians 10: 3-6
For although we are human, it is not by human methods that we do battle. The weapons with which we do battle are not those of human nature, but they have the power, in God’s cause, to demolish fortresses. It is ideas that we demolish, every presumptuous notion that is set up against the knowledge of God, and we bring every thought into captivity and obedience to Christ; once you have given your complete obedience, we are prepared to punish any disobedience.
Hebrews 5: 8-9
he learnt obedience, Son though he was, through his sufferings; when he had been perfected, he became for all who obey him the source of eternal salvation
1 Peter 1: 3-8
Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into a heritage that can never be spoilt or soiled and never fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you who are being kept safe by God’s power through faith until the salvation which has been prepared is revealed at the final point of time.
This is a great joy to you, even though for a short time yet you must bear all sorts of trials; so that the worth of your faith, more valuable than gold, which is perishable even if it has been tested by fire, may be proved—to your praise and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed. You have not seen him, yet you love him; and still without seeing him you believe in him and so are already filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described
