Please pray for a special intention.

                December 24, 2009

                Don't get mad on
                        Christmas

                Get loving
                Be one in Jesus

                Jesus says:

                    Don't do things then get
                angry —

                R. Jesus is love — you do what
you do because it's God's will
to give love as He did when
He took on flesh — endured
                the human condition and died
                for us

Do what you do for love —
love of God and others — if
you have a lot to do — then
keep asking for His help —
don't get angry and give into
                satan to make your heart
                divided on Christmas

                    Don't let satan steal
                your heart —

Give Jesus a bed to rest in
                    a heart of love

                Give and keep pure
                Give from the heart

                Don't punish any one
                    Don't get on the pity-pot —
                    that is satan

                Today is the day God
                    has made

                Rejoice — what a gift —
                    Jesus, the Son of God
                    took flesh for love
                        of us

                Love is not
                    "gooshy love like
                        the movies"

                Love is giving to those
                    we live with and keep
                    being kind

                Following in the footprints
                    of Jesus

LOVE — Be kind — give
and don't count the cost —
                    Give to God

                IN HIS

                    perfection

                   JESUS

                    endured the

                    human condition and
                    to HIS death

                    He loved us

                God is with us

Luke 1: 37

'for nothing is impossible to God.'

    God is with us

                We are to love —
to help bring others into His fold

We are to be open to His Word

                God is constantly calling us
to witness to the Gospel —
to help others to get to heaven —
                    to serve God

We seek to do God's will
                    in love —

Jesus is truly present in the
                    Eucharist — in His
                    Divinity and humanity

Luke 12: 6-7

Can you not buy five sparrows for two pennies? And yet not one is forgotten in God’s sight. Why, every hair on your head has been counted. There is no need to be afraid: you are worth more than many sparrows.

Let our hearts be a bed of
love for the Christ child —

                Selfishness closes us down

                Be Christ to others

                Love God, others and ourselves
                    we are precious to God

                Sing: Ave, Ave, Ave Maria
Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria (just this)
                        between decades

Jesus stands out as a giant of greatness

We need to follow in the footprints of
                    Jesus.

                Jesus took flesh

                Jesus had footprints
                    baby ones
                    ones with nails
                    ones glorified with nails

Jesus' life is a life of love —

Jesus is the tremendous lover —
                God is love

                Jesus didn't rush things

He did the Father's will perfectly —

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life —

God has called us to help bring this
                    era of love —
Love of the 2 Perfect Hearts of Love
The New Adam and the New Eve

Love for the poor banished children
                    of Adam and Eve

John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

God lets us experience an emptiness
sometimes — then we know when
                    He fills us

                God is love

We pray to the Holy Spirit to teach us the
love of the Christ Child to
come to this earth and take
                    on flesh —

We must be rooted in Christ —

                Jesus came in poverty

                Elizabeth was considered barren —

Mary shows us her love in always
                    doing the Father's will
                    in love

Mary and Jesus — Hearts of Pure and
                    Perfect Love

God the Father gave us His only Son
God the Father gives us Mary — pure gift

God the Father wants us recognizing
                    this and loving Mary

Sing: Holy, Holy is His Name - refrain

God give us the grace in
                    this rosary — to walk
in the footprints of Jesus —
                    to be a tremendous lover
                    likened to Christ, according
                    to the Father's will

                Holy Spirit help us

                Jesus, please, give us Your
                    mercy

                Mary suffered —

We, too, will suffer if we follow Him
and live more the resurrected life

                    God is mercy —

Cry out for mercy to our God

Mercy for the human race —

We pray all prayers for the priests,
                    the Church and the world

Holy Spirit fill our hearts with
Your grace and Your love —

Help us to bear fruit for the
                    Kingdom

                Sing: The Rosary Song

Joyful Mysteries

                Annunciation

                (1) Luke 1: 26-38

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.

                (2) The saints are like the rest of
                        mankind in desiring greatness.
But, following the lead of Jesus,
they know where to seek greatness.

                (3) Christ stands out as a giant
                        of greatness.

                (4) Christ tells us that a man is
great, not because of what he
                        possesses, not because of social
                        status, not because he is
                        admired by the crowds, not
                        even primarily because of great
                        works he might accomplish,
                        but simply because of what
                        he is.

                (5) For great works, if they really are
                        authentically great, are
                        possible because of the innate
                        greatness of the man who
                        achieves them.

                (6) From Fr. Carter

                        "Christ's greatness as man, then,
                        was the innate greatness of
                        His humanity itself. His
                        greatness was the fullness
and perfection of a truly human
                        life, a life elevated above
                        its mere naturalness to a
                        new dynamism, the life of
                        grace.
                        Christ as man possessed this
life of grace in its fullness
as a result of His human nature's
                        close union with the divine
person of the Word. But Christ's
                        greatness was not an isolated
                        greatness, an "unrelated"
                        greatness. It was a greatness
                        which centered in relationships
                        of love."

                (7) Jesus' life was a life of love.
                        He mightily loved His Father
                        and His fellow men.
                        The greatness of Christ's life
                        can be comprehended only
in terms of love, the love
                        which united Him so intimately
to His Father and to us.

                (8) "The poverty, the hiddenness, the
                        disappointments, the accomplishments,
the weariness, the joy and the
happiness, the pain and the agony —
                        all that comprised the earthly
                        life of Christ was experienced
and lived out within the framework
of love. Jesus was the great man.
He was because He was a great
lover. He loved in everything He did.
                        He loved tenderly, manfully,
                        with understanding and sympathy.
                        He loved with complete devotedness
                        and with deep, sincere concern
for the individual. He loved with
a passion for that which was
                        right and true and beautiful
and good. He loved with complete
                        conformity to His Father's will.
                        He loved always and completely.
Jesus loved with a gift of Himself,
                        always pouring Himself out,
even to the point of death. He
gave Himself in love to the
Father and to us until there was
no more to give. This was the
                        poignant beauty of Christ's life.

                        This was His greatness. His
                        greatness was centered in love.
He was a giant of greatness
because of what He simply was —
                        a tremendous lover."

                (9) Many times we have not followed the
lead of Jesus in being a tremendous
                        lover and have sought our
                        own greatness and fulfillment
                        in a manner which necessarily
                        resulted sooner or later in
                        disappointments. We have striven
                        after greatness in ways God
                        has not intended. We have
reached out for our self-determined -
                        bubbles of achievement and
                        fulfillment against God's will.
                        These left us with dissatisfaction
                        and frustration and unhappiness.

From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
    by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p. 12

                        23. FIRST PRINCIPLE AND FOUNDATION

Man is created to praise, reverence and serve God
our Lord, and by this means to save his soul.

p.11

21.                     SPIRITUAL EXERCISES

Which have as their purpose the conquest of self
and the regulation of one's life in such a way that
no decision is made under the influence of any
    inordinate attachment

In this mystery let us meditate on
                            Christ's greatness —
Christ was formed in the womb
                            of Mary —

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to form us in
                            the spiritual womb of Mary
                            her Immaculate Heart —
Ask the Holy Spirit to form us more and
more in the image and likeness
                            of God —

Ask the Holy Spirit to help us to love —
more like Jesus — for God is
love and to be like Jesus
is to be a tremendous lover —
                            A lover like Christ —
                            Giving according to the Father's
                            will, in love, for the
honor and glory of God —

                The Visitation

                (1) Luke 1: 39-45

Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’

                (2) What we follow must be rooted in
                        Christ — in the Father's Plan —

                    Sing: Dwelling Place —

Our plans must be rooted in Christ's
way of life, His way of true
                        personal greatness.
We must look to the example
Jesus gave us — we meditate on
these mysteries of the lives of
Jesus and Mary for in following
the love of These Two Hearts
                        lies our joy —

The New Adam and the New Eve —

We see the once barren women of the Bible,
                        Hannah, Sara, Elizabeth and
                        how God brought forth
                        blessings from their lives —
in the child they had after
                        their barrenness —

God lets us see poverty — He lets
us see a low point and in
                        our faithfulness of following
Him according to His will —
He can bless us and many
after a long dry spell —

God wants us to live according to
His plan - in love —

                (3) Mary shows her love for
                        Elizabeth and her desire
                        to follow the will of
God in traveling to her —

The greeting of the angel —
                        Hail Mary and
                    the greeting of Elizabeth —

Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit
cried out in a loud voice

                        "Most blessed are you
                            among women, and
                            blessed is the fruit
                            of your womb."

                (4) Mary, from the first moment of
                        conception, was conceived
                        without sin —
What a gift this is for the
                        fallen human race —
                        Mary, a human person,
                        a creature, conceived without
                        sin —

Hail Mary — FULL of GRACE —

From the first moment of conception
                            we were all marked with
                            original sin because of
the sin of Adam and Eve —

God the Father gives us such a
                            gift in Mary's Immaculate
                            Conception —

                        Mary is the New Eve
Mary is the Mother of God
Mary is Mother of divine grace.

                (5) I love the Litany to Mary for we
                        honor Mary in her
                        Motherhood, her Virginity,
                        her various titles,
                        her Queenship —

We celebrate the 5th with special
days of prayer because of the
5 blasphemies of Mary and 5
                        wounds of Christ

                (6) From the Mass Book
Here are the 5 Blasphemies of Mary

1. Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception.
2. Blasphemies against Her Perpetual Virginity.
3. Blasphemies against Her Divine Maternity, in refusing at the same time to recognize Her as the Mother of men.
4. The blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in the hearts of children indifference or scorn, or even hatred of this Immaculate Mother.
5. The offenses of those who outrage Her directly in Her holy images.

                (7)

Luke 1: 46-55

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

                (8) Sing: Holy, Holy Is His Name

                (9) Dear Mary — we give ourselves
                        to your Immaculate Heart —
we want to dwell in this
                        spiritual womb —
We ask the Holy Spirit to act powerfully
                            in your heart so pure
                            to bring us forth as
                            great lovers likened
                            more and more to Jesus

                (10) Sing Song: Give Me Your Heart Oh Jesus

                The Nativity

                (1) Luke 2: 1-20

Now it happened that at this time Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be made of the whole inhabited world. This census—the first—took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria, and everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. So Joseph set out from the town of Nazareth in Galilee for Judaea, to David’s town called Bethlehem, since he was of David’s House and line, in order to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. Now it happened that, while they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to a son, her first–born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the living–space. In the countryside close by there were shepherds out in the fields keeping guard over their sheep during the watches of the night. An angel of the Lord stood over them and the glory of the Lord shone round them. They were terrified, but the angel said, ‘Do not be afraid. Look, I bring you news of great joy, a joy to be shared by the whole people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. And here is a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.’ And all at once with the angel there was a great throng of the hosts of heaven, praising God with the words:

Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace for those he favours.

Now it happened that when the angels had gone from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go to Bethlehem and see this event which the Lord has made known to us.’ So they hurried away and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. When they saw the child they repeated what they had been told about him, and everyone who heard it was astonished at what the shepherds said to them. As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.

                (2) Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

                (3) Sing: Silent Night

                (4) Sing: What Child is This

                (5) Isaiah 62: 1-5

The splendour of Jerusalem

About Zion I will not be silent,
about Jerusalem I shall not rest
until saving justice dawns for her
   like a bright light
and her salvation like a blazing torch.
The nations will then see
   your saving justice,
and all kings your glory,
and you will be called a new name
which Yahweh's mouth will reveal.
You will be a crown of splendour
   in Yahweh's hand,
a princely diadem in the hand of your God.
No more will you be known as 'Forsaken'
or your country be known as 'Desolation';
instead, you will be called
   'My Delight is in her'
and your country 'The Wedded';
for Yahweh will take delight in you
and your country will have its wedding.
Like a young man marrying a virgin,
your rebuilder will wed you,
and as the bridegroom rejoices in his bride,
so will your God rejoice in you.

                (6) Psalm 89: 4-5, 16-17, 27, 29

I have made your dynasty firm for ever,
built your throne stable age after age.' Pause

The heavens praise your wonders, Yahweh,
your constancy in the gathering of your faithful.

In your name they rejoice all day long,
by your saving justice they are raised up.

You are the flower of their strength,
by your favour our strength is triumphant;

So I shall make him my first-born,
the highest of earthly kings.

I have established his dynasty for ever,
his throne to be as lasting as the heavens.

                (7) Acts 13: 16-17, 22-25

Paul stood up, raised his hand for silence and began to speak:

'Men of Israel, and fearers of God, listen! The God of our nation Israel chose our ancestors and made our people great when they were living in Egypt, a land not their own; then by divine power he led them out

he deposed him and raised up David to be king, whom he attested in these words, "I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will perform my entire will." To keep his promise, God has raised up for Israel one of David’s descendants, Jesus, as Saviour, whose coming was heralded by John when he proclaimed a baptism of repentance for the whole people of Israel. Before John ended his course he said, "I am not the one you imagine me to be; there is someone coming after me whose sandal I am not fit to undo."

                (8) Dear God — You so loved the world
to send Your only Son Jesus —
to show us how to love —
how to be a son of God —

We want to serve You as
                            Your child — Oh heavenly
Father — for we are the
                            poor banished children of
                            Adam and Eve

                        Help us God —

Oh this Christmas Eve — fill us
more and more with Your life —
                            Your grace —

                        Let our hearts be filled
                            with Your truth so we
                            will witness to Your
                            truth with our lives
                            living in Your truth —
                            according to the teachings
                            of the Church, Your Word
                            and living by Your
                            Commandments — Amen.

Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

                    Here — Sing the Litany

Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

                Presentation in the Temple

                (1) Luke 2: 22-28

And when the day came for them to be purified in keeping with the Law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord—observing what is written in the Law of the Lord: Every first–born male must be consecrated to the Lord—and also to offer in sacrifice, in accordance with what is prescribed in the Law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons. Now in Jerusalem there was a man named Simeon. He was an upright and devout man; he looked forward to the restoration of Israel and the Holy Spirit rested on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he had set eyes on the Christ of the Lord. Prompted by the Spirit he came to the Temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the Law required, he took him into his arms and blessed God; and he said:

    Now, Master, you are letting
        your servant go in peace
    as you promised;
for my eyes have seen the salvation
    which you have made ready
        in the sight of the nations;
a light of revelation for the gentiles
and glory for your people Israel.

                (2) Sing: Little Baby Hands and Feet

                (3) God has manifested His love —
God created us to love —
We are commanded to love —

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

                        Jesus came to bring us
                            peace and joy —

                        Jesus is all merciful
                        Jesus is love

                (4) Isaiah 9: 1-6

The people that walked in darkness
    have seen a great light;
on the inhabitants of a country
    in shadow dark as death
        light has blazed forth.
You have enlarged the nation,
    you have increased its joy;
they rejoice before you
as people rejoice at harvest time,
as they exult
when they are dividing the spoils.

For the yoke that weighed on it,
    the bar across its shoulders,
the rod of its oppressor,
these you have broken
as on the day of Midian.

For all the footgear
    clanking over the ground
and all the clothing rolled in blood,
will be burnt, will be food for the flames.

For a son has been born for us,
a son has been given to us,
and dominion has been laid
    on his shoulders;
and this is the name he has been given,
‘Wonder–Counsellor, Mighty–God,
Eternal–Father, Prince–of–Peace’
to extend his dominion
    in boundless peace,
over the throne of David
    and over his kingdom
to make it secure and sustain it
in fair judgement and integrity.
From this time onwards and for ever,
the jealous love of Yahweh Sabaoth
    will do this.

THE SEVEN SORROWS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
AT A SHEPHERDS OF CHRIST MEETING

February 22, 1995

1. The Prophecy of Simeon
Mary, Joseph and the child Jesus went to the temple. Simeon, the prophet, inspired by the Holy Spirit, met them and told Joseph and Mary of the great sufferings of Jesus and Mary. He told Mary that a sword would pierce her heart. From that point on, Mary ever remembered the prophecy of Simeon whenever she beheld her child. When she looked at His little body, even as an infant, she knew He would suffer. Every time she clothed Him and watched Him at play, her heart was torn in her chest as she knew what He would suffer. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

2. The Flight into Egypt
Joseph was told by the angel to flee. Joseph, Mary and the child Jesus had to flee because of what might happen to Jesus. They had to pack for a long stay. The child Jesus was so small! They left on their journey, hearts full of fear, trying to protect Jesus. They were forced to flee into Egypt.

3. Jesus Is Lost, In the Temple
Imagine the sufferings in Mary's heart when she realized the child Jesus was not with them. Think of how it would be to lose your child and not know where he was or if anything happened to him. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the child Jesus. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

4. Jesus Carries His Cross
Song: See the eyes that look at Mary, her tender infant child. See the child's Heart beat so tenderly, the Savior of the world!
See the eyes of Jesus and Mary as they met on Calvary. Mary's Heart knew Jesus' Heart so well! From the first moment of conception and throughout His life, Mary was so connected with Jesus and now she peered into His eyes. The crown of thorns adorned His Head! Blood ran down His face! A heavy cross on His back! Wounded, His whole body covered with bleeding wounds! And her whole life flashed before her, the life that she had spent with Jesus. This was the beloved child that she had held in her arms when Simeon told Mary that 'a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!'

5. Jesus Dies on the Cross
Mary stood under Jesus' cross as He was put to death. The child that she had held in her arms as Simeon prophesied, And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary! Now Jesus is dead on the cross! He gave His flesh, He gave His blood so that we might be with Him forever in heaven. He held not back. He gave His all. He calls out to us this day to see through the eyes of His mother as she appears and calls out with a Heart of great love, "Return to the love of my Son! He is with you this day. He remains with you, no less present than the day that He hung on the cross, in the Eucharist. He longs for you to come and be with Him. He is in your brother. How can you not love your brother when Jesus died for your brother?"

Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. What came forth was blood and water, the sacramental life of the church. He lives with us this day in the Church. He gives to us His sacraments, the source of His life! He gives to us the Sacrament of Penance whereby any sin that we commit can be taken away through the priest. He wants us to be so close to Him! He gives us everything to be close to Him. But we see with such limited vision only those things that are right before our face, when the true reality is that which we don't see with our eyes, the reality of the invisible divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the consecrated Host! This is reality! This is our life! This is our power! This is God! And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

6. Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross
If we ever doubted for one second that we were loved, we could visualize the picture of Mary as she sat beneath the cross with the lifeless, battered, bruised and bloodied body of her Son in her arms, the same child that she held when Simeon prophesied her suffering. He gave His last breath. He gave the last beat of His Heart. He gave His all! This is the way He complied with the Will of the Father. He came to show us the way. He died in perfect peace. To His death He was in peace because He knew the Father's love. The Father loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for love of us! The Spirit descended upon the Virgin Mary and the Word was made flesh! The love of the Two Hearts! Such immense love beating for us!

In all love there is suffering. Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

7. Jesus Is Locked in the Tomb
And now Jesus, His body lifeless, is locked in a tomb! What cold reality for Mary to realize that His body is now gone! A stone separated her from her Son!

He gave His last breath! He gave the last beat of His Heart for love of each one of us! And she comes to us this day with her sweet, beautiful voice and she asks us to go to her Son and love Him! How can we refuse Jesus who spread His arms and gave His life for each and every one of us? How can we not trust Him when He loved us so much that He allowed them to tear His flesh, to crown Him with piercing thorns and, lastly, to hang Him on a cross? He truly gave His life for us! He, truly God, is with us this day, the same as the day He died on the cross, in the tabernacle! And we take it so lightly! Death has no power over Him! Locked in the tomb for three days, He rose triumphant on the third day as He had foretold. He comes to give us life. He gives us the sacrament of Baptism that initiates us into His life, that makes us children of God and heirs of heaven if we remain in the state of grace. He asks two things: love of God and love of one another! He came to show us the way and His way is love. To His death on the cross He loved each one of us! He calls out to each one of us here today to be His soldiers, to march on a world that has forgotten God, that has forgotten what it is like to love! It is a battle to live in this world. But the battle is won with hearts that are filled with His love, empowered by the grace and might that He pours out in the Eucharist. He calls out for us to come to the Eucharist and to the tabernacle and be fed with His very flesh and blood. To feed on Divine Life, the greatest nourishment, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God! This is the love He gives. This is the love He asks us to share.

                (6) Luke 2: 10-11

but the angel said, ‘Do not be afraid. Look, I bring you news of great joy, a joy to be shared by the whole people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

                (7) Isaiah 62: 11-12

This is what Yahweh has proclaimed to the remotest part of earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Look, your salvation is coming; with him comes his reward, his achievement precedes him!' They will be called 'The Holy People', 'Yahweh's Redeemed', while you will be called 'Sought-after', 'City-not-forsaken'.

                (8) How beloved, indeed, we are
                        to our God —

                    Mary suffered for us —

Look at this picture of Mary
with the sword in her heart —

It was in this statue, Mary
                        appeared to me.

From the Red Rosary Book

July 5, 1994 6:30 p.m.

R. I was told to go to Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center to pray the rosary with my children. There were people in the front of the church, so we decided to pray the rosary in the back before the Sorrowful Mother statue. I had the following vision at the end of the rosary.

The statue of the Sorrowful Mother was lit up as if she had fire around her. The light was very bright. Her whole gown was all-white, but the statue's gown is blue and pink. She was all aglow. It looked like the glow that comes off of a fire. Her face kept changing but remained totally sorrowful-the sorrow of an older woman. She was in such pain and sorrow! (It was hard to explain how she looked-extremely pained!) Her face looked as though she was in such pain that she could hardly bear it.

The vision remained like this for about ten minutes, having begun during the last Hail Mary of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the rosary. She was holding something-it was all bright white-the brightest light ever!

And Their Eyes Peered Into One Another's Eyes

R. See Mary as she beholds the baby in her arms. She looks at Him so tenderly. His sweet baby eyes look up at the eyes of His loving Mother. Such tenderness between Mother and Son, such oneness to hold her infant Son so lovingly in her arms. Oh, do we ever know the tenderness between a baby and his loving mother?

A life of close union between this Mother and this Son, a life of her looking into His loving eyes. Such silent, but strong and loving communication! Such a strong bond-Their eyes meeting-from one soul to the other soul.

Song: See the Eyes That Look at Mary (Verse l)…

Deep, deep communication, a deep bond, indescribable in words, a touching of the souls! And the peering look between Son and Mother on the road to the crucifixion. What a peering look, what communication between this Son and Mother. Seeing the other suffer was as agonizing as each's very own suffering-suffering and oneness between a Son and His Mother. A peering look, deep into the very souls. Such an intimacy between Them!

How can one describe in words this oneness, this union between the Son and His Mother? The perfect love between Him and her. Total giving of each person in such love to the other. To see the suffering of the other was as agonizing as-if not more than-each's own suffering.

How His passion and crucifixion were intensified by the sufferings of His dear Mother! How her sufferings were such a sharing in our redemption, the swords that pierced her Heart! The eyes of Mary that invisibly bled as she watched such brutality to the beloved Baby she once carried in her womb and held in her arms!

Song: Little Baby Hands and Feet…

Mary held the Child Jesus when He was a baby; she watched Him and cared for Him as a little boy; she was so attentive to the needs of her little Son. Will we ever know this connectedness between Their loving Hearts? Do we know this oneness? The peering eyes on the way to Calvary tell the story. They tell the story of this oneness. They tell the story of her watching this horrid event of her beautiful baby Son and His horrible passion and death.

Her eyes! Oh, Mary, help me to see the love of Jesus through your eyes! You watched Him as a baby, you watched Him as a child. You watched Him grow into the beautiful Man He became and you, Mary, watched Him all through this bitter passion and death. Your eyes saw the love that He gave for us. Now you come, Mary. You appear to tell us to go to this Son. You knew more than anyone His love to suffer so for us. You come and appear with blood in your eyes and tears running down your cheeks. You show me your sorrowful face, your young face, your old face, your joyful face. This was the face Jesus peered at as He walked His walk to Calvary. This was the face that appears now to tell us the story of His love this very day. I see your parade of faces, Mary, old and young, sorrowful and joyful. I see these faces that Jesus beheld. Your face tells the story of His love for us.

Mary: This is my beloved Son. This is my Baby. This is the Child I bore in my womb. He came to give you love. He came to be God-made-Man among you this very day. He is, my children, no less present in the Eucharist than He was at Calvary and you go after such incidental things. My Son loves you. I show you my face so you can tell the world of our love. Live our lives in the rosary. Let our lives live in your day. The way to eternal happiness is to be likened to my beautiful Son.

I watched my Son. I lead you to the ardent love of my Son, Jesus. His Heart burns for love of you. Come to Him this day. Give Him your love. Spend time with Him. He is alive and in your midst in the Eucharist.

R. Note: I smelled roses very strongly throughout this message.

Song: See the Eyes That Look at Mary (Verse 2)…

This is the Son of the Father, the Son of God, born of Mary through the Holy Spirit, and He lives this day in your hearts. Share His love for you. Go to Him through Mary's Heart. She who is so closely united to Jesus! Their Hearts are so close to one another! As their eyes were joined in such oneness, Their Hearts are joined in such intimacy. Go to Jesus' Heart through His beloved Mother, through her who bore Him in her womb, her who watched Him give Himself for love of you.

                (10) Isaiah 52: 7-10

How beautiful on the mountains,
are the feet of the messenger
   announcing peace,
of the messenger of good news,
who proclaims salvation
and says to Zion,
   ‘Your God is king!’
The voices of your watchmen!
Now they raise their voices,
shouting for joy together,
for with their own eyes they have seen
Yahweh returning to Zion.
Break into shouts together,
shouts of joy, you ruins of Jerusalem;
for Yahweh has consoled his people,
he has redeemed Jerusalem.
Yahweh has bared his holy arm
for all the nations to see,
and all the ends of the earth
have seen the salvation of our God.

Hebrews 1: 1-6

At many moments in the past and by many means, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets; but in our time, the final days, he has spoken to us in the person of his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things and through whom he made the ages. He is the reflection of God's glory and bears the impress of God's own being, sustaining all things by his powerful command; and now that he has purged sins away, he has taken his seat at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high. So he is now as far above the angels as the title which he has inherited is higher than their own name.

To which of the angels, then, has God ever said:

You are my Son, today I have fathered you,

or:

I shall be a father to him and he a son to me?

Again, when he brings the First-born into the world, he says:

Let all the angels of God pay him homage.

                Finding in the Temple

                (1) Luke 2: 41-50

Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was somewhere in the party, and it was only after a day’s journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.

It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he meant.

                (2) Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

The Mystery of Christ and Christian Existence

... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

end of Mary's Message

                (4) Sing: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

                (5) 1 Samuel 1: 20-22

Hannah conceived and, in due course, gave birth to a son, whom she named Samuel, ‘since’, she said, ‘I asked Yahweh for him.’ Elkanah, the husband, went up with all his family to offer the annual sacrifice to Yahweh and to fulfil his vow. However, Hannah did not go up, having said to her husband, ‘Not before the child has been weaned. Then I shall bring him and present him before Yahweh and he will stay there for ever.’

                (6) 1 John 3: 1-2, 21-24

You must see what great love
the Father has lavished on us
by letting us be called God’s children—
which is what we are!
The reason why the world
    does not acknowledge us
is that it did not acknowledge him.
My dear friends,
    we are already God’s children,
but what we shall be in the future
    has not yet been revealed.
We are well aware that when he appears
we shall be like him,
because we shall see him as he really is.

My dear friends,
if our own feelings do not condemn us,
we can be fearless before God,
and whatever we ask
we shall receive from him,
because we keep his commandments
and do what is acceptable to him.
His commandment is this,
that we should believe
in the name of his Son Jesus Christ
and that we should love one another
as he commanded us.
Whoever keeps his commandments
remains in God, and God in him.
And this is the proof
    that he remains in us:
the Spirit that he has given us.

                (7) Isaiah 60: 1-6

Arise, shine out,
  for your light has come,
and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.
Look! though night still covers the earth
and darkness the peoples,
on you Yahweh is rising
and over you his glory can be seen.
The nations will come to your light
and kings to your dawning brightness.
Lift up your eyes and look around:
all are assembling
  and coming towards you,
your sons coming from far away
and your daughters
  being carried on the hip.
At this sight you will grow radiant,
your heart will throb and dilate,
since the riches of the sea will flow to you,
the wealth of the nations come to you;
camels in throngs will fill your streets,
the young camels of Midian and Ephah;
everyone in Saba will come,
bringing gold and incense
and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.

                (8) Oh God help us to be holy—
Fill us with Your grace —
Have mercy, for the sake of
                            the children

Let our prayer — rise like
                            incense to You —
                            Oh God our beloved —

                        Holy Spirit fill our hearts
                            with love that
                            as we meditate on this
                            rosary — we may know
the fruits of Your love —
Be filled with love for God
                            and man
Give us this grace for this —
                                Oh God - our God

Let us live as You intend —

Help us to be better members of
                            the body of Christ

We want to be with You in
                            heaven some day —

We want to serve You while
                            on earth —

We want to love You and follow
                            You, our beloved God —

We want to walk in the footprints
                            of Jesus —

                (9) Now let us focus on the footprints
                        of Jesus
                        Jesus came and took flesh
He died for our sins —
                        He had little baby footprints

God covered with sand and dirt —
little baby feet of Jesus —

He gave greatly for love of
                            us —
                        Look at His little footprints
                            of the infant Jesus —

                            SUCH LOVE

See the footprints of the boy, Jesus,
                        teaching in the temple —
                        Jesus listening to them —
                        The Wisdom of God —
                        A boy of 12 —

Does this show us Jesus lived
and at 12 He was the
boy — the Divine God —
                        walking the earth with
                        this wisdom and

                    Jesus endured
Jesus led the quiet life —

We maybe, would have had Jesus
do it our way — (not so quiet)!

Teach us Jesus to live according
                        to the Father's will —
not to rush things for our
                        will —

But to seek the perfect timing
                        of our heavenly Father —

                    To be patient

                    To meditate on the quiet
                        years of Jesus and ask
God to give us the grace to
                        1) follow in the footprints
                            of Jesus
                        2) wait on God's timing and
                            do God's will

                (10) Now meditate on the footprints
                        of Jesus —
standing in blood at the pillar —
                        carrying the cross to
                            Calvary —

Footprints of a man of 33
Footprints of a man of perfect love

                        Footprints —

God help us to follow Your
                            footprints of love —
                            to not be selfish, but
to know the joy of loving
more and more likened to You —

Help us in our vocation to spread
the devotion of the 2 Hearts

                        The Hearts of Great Love
The Hearts of Jesus and Mary

                        How were Your feet now
                            Jesus after the Resurrection —
                            the glorified wounds
                            of Your precious feet —

Oh God — how were Jesus'
                            footprints on the way to
                            Emmaus as He explained
                            the scriptures —

Oh God feed us with the
                            bread of life
                            Your Word
Your Body and Blood in the
                                Eucharist

Oh God, My God, I love Thee,
I love Thee, I love Thee

                        Song: I Love You Jesus

                        Song: God's Love

Holy Spirit fill us with Your Wisdom
                            Help us to be holy
                            Help us to love —

                        Oh Jesus —
                            Teach us Your ways
                                while meditating on
                                Your life and Mary's
                                life in this rosary

                        Say 'yes' to Jesus —

                        Live your vocation as God
                            desires

                        the little way — of
                            LOVE of St. Therese

Isaiah 40: 1-5, 9-11

'Console my people, console them,'
says your God.
'Speak to the heart of Jerusalem
and cry to her
that her period of service is ended,
that her guilt has been atoned for,
that, from the hand of Yahweh,
  she has received
double punishment for all her sins.'

A voice cries, 'Prepare in the desert
a way for Yahweh.
Make a straight highway for our God
across the wastelands.
Let every valley be filled in,
every mountain and hill be levelled,
every cliff become a plateau,
every escarpment a plain;
then the glory of Yahweh will be revealed
and all humanity will see it together,
for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.'

Go up on a high mountain,
messenger of Zion.
Shout as loud as you can,
messenger of Jerusalem!
Shout fearlessly,
say to the towns of Judah,
'Here is your God.'

Here is Lord Yahweh coming with power,
his arm maintains his authority,
his reward is with him
and his prize precedes him.
He is like a shepherd feeding his flock,
gathering lambs in his arms,
holding them against his breast
and leading to their rest the mother ewes.

Psalm 104: 2-4, 24-25, 27-28, 29-30

wearing the light as a robe!

You stretch out the heavens like a tent,
build your palace on the waters above,
making the clouds your chariot,
gliding on the wings of the wind,
appointing the winds your messengers,
flames of fire your servants.

How countless are your works, Yahweh,
all of them made so wisely!
The earth is full of your creatures.

Then there is the sea, with its vast expanses
teeming with countless creatures,
creatures both great and small;

They all depend upon you,
to feed them when they need it.
You provide the food they gather,
your open hand gives them their fill.

Turn away your face and they panic;
take back their breath and they die
and revert to dust.
Send out your breath and life begins;
you renew the face of the earth.

July 31, 1994

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)
