A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Messenger: Include Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in 6:20 prayers.

Messenger: Please pray for 5 urgent intentions!

Messenger: WE URGENTLY NEED FUNDS TO PUT OUT THE NEXT NEWSLETTER, PRAY FOR THIS AND FOR THE NEWSLETTER AND ALL INVOLVED.

WE ALSO NEED FUNDS FOR PRAYER MANUALS FOR THE 75,000 PRIESTS.

Messenger: Our Lord has asked us to pray for a special priest and three other special priests and His designated priests.

Please pray for the priestly newsletter and for the intentions on the prayer list at the end of the message.

Messenger: Please pray for an urgent intention, spread the blood of Jesus on them, consecrate their hearts, cast the devil far from them, and ask for a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

A second urgent intention is to pray for the mailing of the newsletter and all involved.  Please pray hourly if possible.

Messenger:     We had our first call from
                       a priest today from Minnesota
                       wanting 50 prayer manuals for
a nursing home. This order came
because the priest read the newsletter.
It was sent out from Eden Prairie, MN.
He was one of the first to get the
                       newsletter.

Fr. Carter's Homily - March 12, 2000

Mark 1: 12-15

Testing in the desert

And at once the Spirit drove him into the desert and he remained there for forty days, and was put to the test by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels looked after him.

Jesus begins to proclaim the message

After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the gospel from God saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the gospel.’

Today’s Gospel presents us with Jesus’ desert experience, and the desert experience of Jesus had been very vividly foreshadowed by the Jewish people in Old Testament times, as they wandered through the desert from Egypt to the Promised Land for 40 years. A great part of Jesus’ desert experience, of course, was prayerful solitude, as He prayed from the depth of His humanity to the Heavenly Father. And His desert experience reminds us that the desert experience must be in the lives of all of us, really day in and day out, sometimes with very, very special periods, but the heart, the essence of desert experience must always be with us. And certainly one of the great notes of the desert experience is this prayerful communion with the Father, through Christ, in the Holy Spirit, with the assistance of Mary our Mother.

Silence is one of the great foundational stones of the spiritual life. In silence, if we properly use it, so much happens to us. We are made aware once again of how much the Father loves us in Christ Jesus, and we just sit in awe trying to realize, with greater insight, what it means that the Father sent His Son to die for each of us. We can never comprehend the love contained in that, that the Son of God becomes incarnate for our redemption. In silence we should make a response with our whole hearts as we realize this great love of God for us in Jesus, and pledge that each day of our lives we will respond with the deepest faith, hope, and love, despite the trials, despite the sufferings, despite the persecutions, and aided on the more bright side by success and joyfulness and happiness in the Lord.

During the time of Lent we have a special opportunity to deepen this desert experience, so I encourage you to build – I know all of you have very, very busy days – but try to build at least a little bit more time, set aside time for prayerful silence as we imitate the desert experience of Jesus. We know that not only during these forty days did He go aside in solitude in the desert, but He would often go aside and pray in solitude to His Heavenly Father. So we have to learn how to build the desert experience into our daily lives, and this can be done even in the midst of activity. The more we do away with the clutter, the needless anxiety and worry and so forth within us, the more we are experiencing desert silence even in the midst of activity. Especially during Lent try to build into your days a little bit more time before the Blessed Eucharist to deepen your desert experience. Thomas Merton, certainly one of the most insightful spiritual writers of our times, has some very meaningful words about the place of silence in the spiritual life. He says, "Silence does not exist in our lives merely for its own sake. It is ordered to something else. Silence is the mother of speech. A lifetime of silence is ordered to an ultimate declaration, which can be put into words, a declaration of all we have lived for.

"Life and death, words and silence, are given us because of Christ...In Him we die to illusion and live to truth. We speak to confess Him, and we are silent in order to meditate on Him and enter deeper into His silence, which is at once the silence of death and of eternal life-the silence of Good Friday and the peace of Easter morning.

"We receive Christ's silence into our hearts when first we speak from our heart the word of faith. We work out our salvation in silence and in hope. Silence is the strength of our interior life. Silence enters into the very core of our moral being, so that if we have no silence we have no morality. Silence enters mysteriously into the composition of all the virtues, and silence preserves them from corruption.

"If we fill our lives with silence, then we live in hope, and Christ lives in us and gives our virtues much substance. Then, when the time comes, we confess Him openly...and our confession has much meaning because it is rooted in deep silence. It awakens the silence of Christ in the hearts of those who hear us, so that they themselves fall silent and begin to wonder and to listen. For they have begun to discover their true selves." 1

Dear Fr. Carter,

Greetings of Peace and goodwill to you and your staff.
May you be bestowed with tremendous energy to carry on this wonderful
work in spreading the gospel and continue to share with us various spiritual
writings and thoughts from favorite authors and holy men and women.
I had the chance to receive a copy through a priest friend in 1999 and I
really appreciated it and my second opportunity to have another copy
was while I was enrolled at The Holy Rosary Major Seminary in our
city for a diploma course in theology for lay and pre religious.
I am very grateful for every enriching experience it gives
to readers like me. Please include me in you future mailing list
as an interested recipient of the newsletter. May I further request for
a free copy of the book and cassette tape containing the first 12
issues of the newsletter if it is still available. Thank you very much.
I am going to share them with my classmates and colleagues.
May favors from heaven grant answers to your prayers
for the much needed benefactors and aid to come your way at
the soonest time. Thank you so much. With my prayers, I
remain sincerely yours.

In Jesus and Mary,

A PLEDGE FROM AN APOSTLE OF THE SACRED HEART

Messenger:

I am but a little speck on this earth,
but with His might He can use me
to spread the devotion to His
                 Most Sacred Heart.

Oh dear and precious Heart of Jesus
I give myself as completely as

me to spread the devotion to the
ends of the earth for Your most
                 precious Heart.

I am Rita your precious soul.

Use me to help to spread this burning
devotion to the souls of this earth.

I am yours, take me, use me as you
                 will.

          I surrender myself to you.

It is your might behind me, your power
that sends me. I am an Apostle of

Father hear us please. We beg through
                the  intercession of Father Carter

                Prayer Manual.

Sorrowful MotherMary's Message from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary speaks: I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Song: O Lady of Light, shining so bright, be with us this day, guiding our way, O Lady, O Lady of Light.

Mary speaks: I appear to you as Our Mother of Sorrows.

(End of Mary's Message)

A Note from the President of Shepherds of Christ:

If you are devoted to Our Lady's rosary, we need your help! A member of our ministry is very devoted to Our Blessed Mother and he is helping to teach us how to grow our volunteer rosary makers. He estimates that we will need approximately $37,000 this year for beads alone! This translates into 22,339,500 rosary beads (yes, 22 million beads) assembled by volunteers into 378 thousand rosaries. The biggest users of our rosaries are the Catholic schools, who requested more than 100,000 rosaries last year.

Can you help us? I appeal to you for funds, whether large or small. We give because we love God, we love our Blessed Mother, and we love souls. We will accept gifts in many forms, besides cash or check donations, we can receive gifts directly in the form of stocks or property. These gifts can offer large tax advantages to the donor and increase the monetary value of the gift to us. Also if you can help assemble rosaries we need your help! If you can help us in anyway, please call or write us. God Bless!

I love you,
John Weickert

A rosary can be used to pray for healing. It is powerful to unite our prayers to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and pray through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater.

In times of trouble, for special prayer, we can use our rosary and pray as follows.

A Rosary for Healing or for Someone with Cancer.

On one Hail Mary bead or as many as you desire, say:

May God heal                     through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater in union with the Mass and all the Masses being celebrated around the world.

Pray the Hail Mary or Hail Mary's then pray this after the Hail Mary.

May the cancer be uprooted and thrown into the sea.

We believe with all our hearts.

After the Glory Be — pray the following petition.

May                     be healed through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater if it be the holy will of God.

Note: You can look at Mary on the image rosary while you pray this rosary.

Note: The above section can be printed out from a PDF file, and you can pray the rosary looking at the pictures.

December 17, 2000, Mary speaks:

Help me to circulate my red and blue
    Rosary Books and the
prayers my Son gives to you.

This is a gift we give you.
All the revelations are gifts given to you.
My Son is the Light of the World.
