Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Isaiah 58:1-9
Fasting pleasing to God

Shout for all you are worth,
   do not hold back,
raise your voice like a trumpet.
To my people
   proclaim their rebellious acts,
to the House of Jacob, their sins.
They seek for me day after day,
they long to know my ways,
like a nation that has acted uprightly
and not forsaken the law of its God.
They ask me for laws that are upright,
they long to be near God:
'Why have we fasted, if you do not see,
why mortify ourselves if you never notice?’
Look, you seek your own pleasure
   on your fastdays
and you exploit all your workmen;
look, the only purpose of your fasting
   is to quarrel and squabble
and strike viciously with your fist.
Fasting like yours today
will never make your voice heard on high.
Is that the sort of fast that pleases me,
a day when a person
   inflicts pain on himself?
Hanging your head like a reed,
spreading out sackcloth and ashes?
Is that what you call fasting,
a day acceptable to Yahweh?
Is not this the sort of fast that pleases me:
to break unjust fetters,
to undo the thongs of the yoke.
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break all yokes?
Is it not sharing your food with the hungry,
and sheltering the homeless poor;
if you see someone lacking clothes,
   to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own kin?
Then your light will blaze out
   like the dawn
and your wound be quickly healed over.
Saving justice will go ahead of you
and Yahweh’s glory come behind you.
Then you will cry for help
   and Yahweh will answer;
you will call and he will say, ‘I am here.’
If you do away with the yoke,
the clenched fist and malicious words,

                R. We are called by God to atone for
are offenses against Him. We are
sinners. Holy Week shows us that
                Jesus died for our sins
                and atonement is necessary
                for sin.

We are to not give into
                disorder that displeases God –
it is our duty to live a life
of conversion, to love God first
and to love our brothers as
                ourselves.

God commands us to love. It's
not that we can do what we
want. We have a free will
to obey God or disobey God,
but it is our duty before
God to be obedient to Him.

                    Jesus was paraded through
the city streets with the cross
with our sins on His back.
He was made a public spectacle
because of our sins. He suffered
                the whippings, beatings and
                humiliation because of our
                sins. Jesus paid the price
                for our sins.

Heaven is our true home –
we have citizenship in heaven –
                God created us and desires
us to be with Him eternally
                in heaven and Jesus paid
                for our sins. Bloodied and
                wounded they paraded Him
                through the streets – then
                crucified Him – Like an
                innocent lamb He was led
                to the slaughter. He was
                bound and dragged and
                whipped and crowned with
                thorns because He loved us
                so very much.

                    How would our life be
different if we had always put
                God first in our lives?
Jesus loves us so much. Jesus
loved us so much He died on
                a cross.

                Song: A Song from Jesus

                R. Lent has been a time when
                we were especially to make
                atonement for our sins of
                the past and walk disciplining
                ourselves and living the life
                of conversion.

                    Sisters and brothers in
religious life are to be examples
                of special holiness, living that
                example of holiness before men,
so others see their good works
                and get inspired by their
                holiness. Religious are married,
in a special way to Jesus.

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

                R. We are to practice self-discipline,
                self control. We definitely are
                not to give into addictions
in Lent – We are to repent
for our sins, we are sinners.
                We cannot lie to ourselves
                about our faults, if we
do then we will not die
to those faults inside of us.

                There was a book
                Happiness is an Inside Job
                by John Powell S.J.

                    We must accept responsibility
                and accountability for our actions.
We are to live in the truth
                about our faults and try
to die to those things not
like God to live a holy life,
to live the life of resurrection –
We are to put God first above
all things and live in love.

We are commanded by God to
                love.

John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

                R. The Pascal Mystery
                    Death / Resurrection

Dying to sin to live a new life.
We seek to grow more and more
in the image of God –
                We were created in the
                    image of God.

God intends us to work with
others in love in the building
                    of His Kingdom –
                    This takes communication
                    in love with others –
                    not holding out in selfishness
                        for power.

                Because we don't care if
                    we communicate. We
have a duty to serve in
                    our vocation –

                    We can have expectations that
we will have others giving us
what we want and then decide
how we expect others to be –
and if we don't feel good,
                blame it on innocent others.
                Happiness is to be inside
                of ourselves, not expect
people on the outside to make
                us happy.

                    We need an interior life,
                where our strength comes
                from God dwelling deeply
                in our hearts. For this
                to happen we must have
the truth in us. Jesus is
the way, the truth and the
                life.

                    We cannot decide it's
                other people's responsibility
to make us happy. God at
the center within us is true
                happiness. We were
made for God and we will not
rest – only in Him – we
                are pilgrims on a journey
                here and our true home
                is heaven. We always want
more until we get to heaven.
In heaven we will have the
fullness of life. Here we are
                longing for more –

We can keep living in a
                distorted reality thinking people
and things on the outside are
to make us happy – we need
an interior life – rooted in God!
                We can't blame others for
                our happiness and unhappiness –
                truly happiness and truly unhappiness.

                R. People can live their whole
                lives in darkness, going
                from place to place blaming
every body else for their misery
                and then they keep making
                misery because to them
                isolation and darkness is
normal – then they can get
mad, the one or two others
                in their life aren't making
them happy – so they try to
                hold out and provoke them
                so they can deliberately make
                darkness around them –
This is darkness, this is evil,
this is opposed to God's will –

God is light and in Him
is no darkness. Jesus is the
way, the truth and the life –
To be united inside in the
interior life to God – we must
                be accountable and responsible
                for our actions and live
                in the truth –

                    Having darkness inside
in the interior life – disconnected
to God, can make a person
go to the exterior and blame
                others for their misery.
                Real happiness is found within
                in one's heart and soul
                united in purity and love
                and truth to God.

                    Look at all the division
in the world. God intends us
                to work united, communicate,
                love and put Him first.

We are to have gratitude for
                His gifts to us –

November 24, 1997 (excerpt)

March 26, 1996 message for Fr. Carter from Jesus:

...I am Jesus. You will spread My love to all souls on this earth. I love you with the tenderest burning love. I am Jesus, your beloved Savior. end of excerpt

R. Jesus gave a message November 3rd telling us we must pray to the Holy Spirit. When I failed to obey the message I suffered intensely for three days. And He woke me on November 8th telling me we must, must all pray the novena daily. We must pray the rosary for the Holy Spirit works in the rosary giving us great lights, revealing insights into the mysteries when we consecrate our heart to Mary.

December 19, 1996: Message from Mary

Mary: My dear children, I give to you, my Son, Jesus, born in a stable in Bethlehem on Christmas morn. He is the Almighty God, the Light of the World.

I appear to you, my children, on a (former) bank in Florida. You have made money your god! Do you know how cold are your hearts? You turn away from my Son, Jesus, for your money. Your money is your god.

I am Mary, your Mother. I do not appear as I once appeared to you. I am asking you today to circulate my message given on a tape on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 1996. Please circulate this tape now. Give it to as many people as you can. I am Mary, your Mother. Please circulate my Rosary Book.

January 23, 1997

Mary: I appear on the building to draw men to the messages given in God’s Blue Book, Rosaries From the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and Tell My People. These books are the messages we give from our Hearts to draw men to our Hearts. They are the messages my Son gives to bring about the reign of His most Sacred Heart.

I ask you to circulate Mary’s Message in Florida and the rosaries (special Marian meditations and messages) of December 13, 1996, and January 13, 1997. These messages were given to reveal insights into His most intimate love. My appearance in Florida and the Shepherds of Christ Movement must be connected. Please work with great fervor to spread my messages and the message of my Son from this location. Do not be afraid. You will make great advances in helping with the completion of the Fatima Message there.

I am Mary, your Mother. Please obey me and help me spread these materials there. I love you, my little children.

January 25, 1997

Mary: I am Mary. I am requesting that you continue to pray the rosary novena daily for the following intentions:

    1) For the spread of the rosary, circulation and publication of these rosary meditations, for the Rosary Book and Children’s Rosary Books, for the Rosary Aves and consecrations to be distributed and used by school children, for the Priestly Newsletter Books, for the Mass Book, for all materials receiving the imprimatur, for its publication and quick distribution, for the distribution of Mary’s Message tape and the Rosary Book and the connection with the Shepherds of Christ Movement and the apparition in Florida;

    2) For Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, that the Father’s plan will unfold there as He intended;

    3) For the new Center, for the new chapel, for the right to reserve the Blessed Sacrament there, for the funding, for the circulation of materials from there, for the beginning of new prayer chapters.

January 11, 1997 From God the Father

My plan will unfold despite the willfulness of any of My children. I am the Father...You must circulate the tape, Mary's Message. You must circulate the messages given to you in God’s Blue Books and Rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary...Mary appeared on the building in Florida as Mother of all. You have made money your god. You have ignored God and made this world your end. end of excerpt

John 14: 25-26 I have said these things to you while still with you; but the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.

John 14: 28 you heard me say: I am going away and shall return...

R. On April 17, 1994, I was told to make a video introducing the Blue Book messages to the world. During this video as I read the prayer, “Union with Jesus”, the sun pulsated as a bright star in the sky. As I continued to read the messages of His love, the sun continued to pulsate during the messages. He indicated this to me that it is His sign given to us. A star shone over His crib in Bethlehem heralding His coming to the earth. This star in the video shining over His Mother’s House would be the birth of the Age of Light for Mary’s children. She then appeared to me daily for l4 months as our Lady of Light. I was told to pray at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center at 6:20 daily July 5, 1994.

Our Lady of Light

Mary appeared almost every day from July 5, 1994 until September 5, 1995 at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in the Sorrowful Mother statue. She said she appeared as Our Lady of Light. She was surrounded by a celestial mist.

On Mother’s Day 1995, she told me to buy a portable camera and take her picture when she appeared. This picture can be found on the front of this card.

On March 24, 1997, Jesus asked me that cards be printed with the picture of Mary taken on Mother’s Day on the card. She looked alive during the apparition. Compare this picture to the picture of the statue when she was not appearing. Jesus says He has given great signs of the authenticity of the messages.

On March 20, 1997, I wrote, “Mary appeared as Our Lady of Fatima for one hour and 15 minutes. Mary appeared in the Sorrowful Mother statue at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center.

As we began the rosary I began to see Mary, covered with a mist. Then I saw light around her. She got bigger than the statue, her face softened to that of the most beautiful woman—the same as the picture I took on Mother’s Day 1995 when she told me to buy film and take her picture. ”

On March 22, 1997, I wrote, “She was Our Lady of Light and she kept going into Our Lady of Fatima-live in the statue.”

She has given us and her son has given us rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. (The book, Rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, is available.) These rosaries are still received on the 13th of the month with messages from Jesus and possibly Mary. Come to our Morrow center. Many rosaries are live on tape. There is so much more! Call us! Mary wants us to spread the consecrations and rosaries to school children. She wants the Children’s Rosary Book published. Jesus and the Father want us to begin prayer chapters praying for the priests, the renewal of the Church and the world, and the priestly newsletter.     On November 8, 1997 I was waken at 3:00 a.m.

    Reference John Chapter 17

    Blue Book I: p. 85:

R. How do we learn of God? We learn from God. Man does not know. He only knows that which God imparts to him. Why the middleman-a book, a person? Go to God yourself, man. He awaits you and wants to share His gifts with you. Beg the Holy Spirit for the gifts. He is the Spirit of Love. It is from Him, God the Holy Spirit, I have written these letters. I know none of these truths except as He has chosen to reveal them to me.

Go to Him yourself. He loves you just as much. He wants to “gift” you and you go to man for your knowledge and wisdom and counsel. Oh, how silly are we. Go to man to ask about God, while God waits for us to come to Him! It is like going to a washing machine repair shop to fix a car.

Jesus: Oh, how silly, indeed, children. Go to God to learn the truths about God. No other knowledge is of any account except as it is rooted in Him. Do not go to man when God waits. Let your hearts yearn for the time you spend in His presence and soak up all He has to give you. You, My child, are so blessed!

November 25, 1997

Jesus: Today is a day of joy for you, My shepherds. I will weed out the sheep from the goats, I will refine the beauteous ones as a refiner would care for gold. I will make you sparkling and white, glistening and glorious in the end. You are to be purified.

I ask you to offer every Mass for healing. The wounds in your ministry will begin to open. Every hour you must pray to the Father in My name through the intercession of Mary, for healing and for the Holy Spirit.

As quoted from the November 3rd Message:

“You are being tested in fire as never before. I am allowing you to die to your imperfections by bringing them to light. It is a big earth that we must conquer and people have not responded as I have hoped to Our Lady’s Vision in Florida... I will help you shepherds, I say to you “hang in there”, keep moving ahead, the funds will come, you must pray hourly, I am teaching you to be entirely focused on Me. How would you learn if I made your journey a weak journey? You are committed since December 22, 1996 when I told you I would bring you to your knees, you have fallen under the weight of My cross and gotten up again and again under the duress and strain. I am proud of you My shepherds, you must be strengthened, for the days of slaughter are at hand. A little trimming here and there, will they even notice.”

You will be the greatest lovers for I Myself have taught you to love. In order to grow in oneness you must die to your imperfections. I give to you this command: You must love God with your whole heart and whole soul and whole mind and love your neighbor as yourself. You must love, shepherds. You are great apostles. Embrace one another with a holy kiss. My beloved ones, you must love according to the Father’s Will. Love is freely given. One gives love and gives the recipient a chance to accept or reject, to force yourself on another is not holy love. How do you wish to receive love from another? One does not force his affections on others. This is not kind. You are kind and loving My shepherds, you give freely. You allow others to receive your love by accepting it or rejecting it. There is love according to the Father’s Will, it is holy love, love that is rooted in the Spirit. It is freely given and waits for the acceptance of the recipient. A mother may affectionately love her child and hold and kiss the child. The child is the recipient of the love. A mother does not grab the child and force affection on a child that does not wish to respond. There is love and a loving response. With this comes union. If one gives, one accepts. The mind of both are united by an act of the will on each part.

Love according to the Father’s will must be holy love. Caresses must be rooted in love and willing consent by all involved.

To love another is a great responsibility... There must be genuine love, genuine affection, giving and receiving.

Love is not for manipulation and control, love is not haughty but kind.

Any action rooted in love, loves all, it does not separate and join some and exclude others.

Love in a room must move always toward loving union of the whole. A mother may affectionately stroke a child, a husband - a wife, a boy friend - a girl friend, but the general consensus in a room is for holy love, all being members of My Body.

    I give you this diagram:

Love loves all, love does not hate one's brother, love is not competitive, it does not seek for self gratification.

I speak to you now of division. I am the head of the body, the members must be one and loving to all. To unite to one and exclude others for the purpose of division is wrong.

You are in a room, child. It is time to consecrate your hearts. All members in the room must consecrate their hearts, Satan will try to divide them.

There are several people in a room, say five. Two can unite, three can unite, but all are united in love. There is healthy dividing in which people divide to accomplish certain tasks. Satan aims to bring about division always. Unhealthy division is when the members do not feel good with each other so they divide to get apart.

You My shepherds are to be one flock in the mystical Body of Christ.

You unite always in great love.

You must strive to not be divided.

It is necessary when you operate with one another to always seek oneness, harmony and love.

On the children’s school yard at school, Susie joins with Mary and is nasty to Ann, Clare and Joe. This is a very cruel form of division, for it gives love to some and disapproval to others.

In many families there is the victim, more properly titled the “scapegoat.”

They are accused for every illness in the family, they are blamed, they live a life of great suffering. Dysfunctional families have great dysfunctional ways of interacting.

You must pray hourly to your heavenly Father, in My name, that you will not divide.

I was the victim. When a child is the scapegoat or victim, all are against one. It is very unholy, it is damaging, especially to a child.

Why do you look to hate when My way is love? Why do you wish power when all power comes from God? Every person who operates in authority must read this message daily. Authority comes from God, there must be structure in your Movement. The devil will operate in dysfunction, you are to operate as the holy family, living according to the Scriptures and the commandments. I give to you My word here. Men will live as one, operating according to the Father’s plan. There will be a new earth - The Holy Spirit will renew the face of the earth. You must invoke Him hourly.

I was the victim. You must love all. In every community the members are dealt with in love. There are imperfections and faults. Every person in authority acts in Christ’s name as Christ lives in him.

This is the Father’s plan for salvation. Man sinned and he must make amends to God.

You will live as one. The messages that are corrective messages or warnings are given in great love that you will be one. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit live in perfect love.

I give you life, I came, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. See Me in the Passion, I was the victim. They piled the sins of the world on My back. You are to love in holy love, anything that is not holy is not love and does not come from God.

Love Me My chosen ones, this is a message of love from Me. I love you, Jesus.

Excerpt from the Priestly Newsletter - To Live in Christ Jesus

Scriptural Reflections

Openness to God. “In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, so highly favored! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favor. Listen! You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the house of Jacob forever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I am a virgin?’ ‘The Holy spirit will come upon you’ the angel answered ‘and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. Know this too: your kinswoman Elizabeth has, in her old age, herself conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ I am the handmaid of the Lord, said Mary ‘let what you have said be done to me’. And the angel left her.” (Lk 1:26-38).

God wants the best for us. His love is eager-eager to draw us ever closer to Himself. His love for us is a transforming love. As we surrender to it more and more, this love accomplishes our ongoing conversion. It thrusts us forward to become more deeply Christian. God’s love for us contains the absolute capacity to make us happy, to make us fulfilled persons, to make us what in the depths of our beings we really know we should be and want to be.

We can put obstacles in the way of God’s transforming designs. We can say no to this love. We can refuse to be open to God’s tender, loving touch. We can engage in a process of self-enclosedness. We can determine to map out our own path to happiness, forgetting that plans for happiness which exclude God are ultimately plans for experiencing frustration and emptiness.

At other times it is not so much selfishness which leads us to say no to God, it is rather fear. We hear God’s voice calling us higher. We hear His voice asking something which seems very difficult. We hear His voice asking something we had not at all expected. Yes, we hear all this-and we draw back. We draw back because we are afraid. We refuse God because our fear focuses our attention on what we are rather than on what God is. We look too much at our own weakness, rather than at God’s power which can transform our inadequacy into a mighty strength.

In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one’s own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God’s personal and loving guidance.

Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God’s call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God’s than hers.

Mary’s words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: “I am the handmaid of the Lord,” said Mary, “let what you have said be done to me”.

People are Looking at Us. “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on the lampstand bwhere it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine in the sight of men, so that, seeing your good works, they may give the praise to your Father in heaven” (Mt 5:14-16).

Jesus taught by word and action. He talked to huge crowds, to small groups, to various individuals. He talked about love and friendship, about joy and suffering, about life and death. He had a message to spread, His Father’s message, and He did not miss His opportunities. It was not enough for Him merely to talk about His Father’s message. He was also constantly teaching by the total event of His life, death and resurrection. Not only His words, but also His actions spoke out loud and clear. He not only talked about the love we should have for one another. He incarnated this teaching in the laying down of His own life for the salvation of all. His words spoke eloquently of brotherly love. So also did His bloody and bruised body nailed to a cross. His words sounded so convincing. The way He went about living could also pierce the hardest heart.

Jesus invites us to assist Him in the continuation of His teaching mission. The method of procedure remains the same; we, too, like Jesus before us, are to teach by both word and action. The opportunities for teaching by word are more numerous than we might expect. For it is not only bishops and priests and teachers of religious studies who teach by word. Parents, as they rear their children, have numerous opportunities to teach Jesus’ message. Friends talk about all sorts of things. If one is sincerely Christian, his or her friend will eventually know.

The opportunities to teach about Jesus by the way we act are even more numerous than are the occasions for variously speaking about the message of Jesus. People are looking at us. We cannot long hide the life-vision which thrusts us forward, which motivates so much of what we do. If we live according to the pleasure principle, this becomes evident. If we live according to the money principle, this also becomes manifest. If we are close followers and friends of Jesus, this too becomes clear to people. They will know by the way we work and play, by our attitude towards life and death, by our refusing to become bitter despite even great suffering, by the way we treat others, especially those who are poor, or ridiculed, or discriminated against, or passed over as unimportant and of little worth. If we are deeply Christian, Christ’s way of thinking and doing will necessarily affect our own way of thinking and doing.

We are called to project Jesus and His message through our own humanities. Either we do, or we don’t. Either we seize the numerous and daily opportunities for helping to preach Jesus by the way we live, or we do not. Either we respond to Jesus’ invitation to be a light for the world, or we do not. This invitation goes out to all, but to priests in a special way. Jesus, through Holy Orders, has given Himself to the priest in a most special way. If the priest, realizing Jesus’ precious love for him as this unique priest-companion, surrenders to Christ, this gives Him special joy. For the priest, because of his special union with Jesus, can be a light to the world in a most extraordinary way.  end of excerpt

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
