Genesis Chapter 3

Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, 'Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?' The woman answered the snake, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death." ' Then the snake said to the woman, 'No! You will not die! God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.' The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they realised that they were naked. So they sewed fig-leaves together to make themselves loin-cloths.

The man and his wife heard the sound of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from Yahweh God among the trees of the garden. But Yahweh God called to the man. 'Where are you?' he asked. 'I heard the sound of you in the garden,' he replied. 'I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.' 'Who told you that you were naked?' he asked. 'Have you been eating from the tree I forbade you to eat?' The man replied, 'It was the woman you put with me; she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.' Then Yahweh God said to the woman, 'Why did you do that?' The woman replied, 'The snake tempted me and I ate.'

Then Yahweh God said to the snake, 'Because you have done this,

    Accursed be you
of all animals wild and tame!
On your belly you will go
and on dust you will feed
    as long as you live.
    I shall put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
    it will bruise your head
and you will strike its heel.'

    To the woman he said:

I shall give you intense pain
        in childbearing,
you will give birth to your children
        in pain.
Your yearning will be for your husband,
    and he will dominate you.

To the man he said, 'Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat,

Accursed be the soil because of you!
Painfully will you get your food from it
    as long as you live.
It will yield you brambles and thistles,
as you eat the produce of the land.
By the sweat of your face

    will you earn you food,
until you return to the ground,
as you were taken from it.
    For dust you are
and to dust you shall return.

The man named his wife 'Eve' because she was the mother of all those who live. Yahweh God made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and clothed them. Then Yahweh God said, 'Now that the man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick from the tree of life too, and eat and live for ever!' So Yahweh God expelled him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he had been taken. He banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden he posted the great winged creatures and the fiery flashing sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.

April 30, 2006 message continues

Messenger:            We have weaknesses toward sin because of
                            original sin.

                                God is all perfect.

God gives us the sacrament of baptism
but we still have weaknesses toward sin.

The devil tries to use our weaknesses to
                            get in a door.

Jesus speaks:        What stops My work from being done
                            is: disobedience
people being pressed on by the devil
                                    and giving in.

If a person gives into the devil and fails
                                to recognize old patterned behaviors
that are sinful, against God's will
the
devil advances in subtle ways at the
pace he can to try to steel more and more of
the person's commitment to be a
                                soldier in God's army.

Making a commitment and saying one is
sorry in confession means that they are
suppose to improve, avoid the near
                            occasions of sin.

                                People in dysfunctional relationships
try to force others, sometimes, to engage
                            in co-dependent behavior. One can
readily see a husband who is an
alcoholic or a drug addicted son
that tries to make their wife, mother, respectively,
responsible for their bad problem, while
                            they continue drinking/using. The wife
or mother's life is centered on the unpredictable
                            behavior of the alcoholic
i.e. in an
advanced stage she thinks "he needs me"
"he could fall down the steps drunk",
                            "he could have an accident"
all the
children (when there is a husband/wife
                            problem) also become sick
she may
keep them quiet not to disturb dad

                            All do a dysfunctional dance

                            Co-dependent behavior can occur
in any relationships where one is
                                dysfunctional dependent on the other
                                i.e. mother/son, mother/daughter, where
daughter and sons are adults and able
people or where parents are able people
and they are made co-dependent needlessly.
                                Sometimes people unrelated engage in
                                co-dependent behaviors or for example
                                mother/son, daughter/father, that is
dysfunctional and they are not even related.
                                Such relationships can disempower people
                                where without the relationship they
                                would be capable and empowered
                                in their lives.

But what about a person who
has lived alone, that uses passive/
                            aggressive behavior on mother or
anyone who has to work with them
and they try to get away with it

Trying to force the other into acting out
their ways by provoking the other over
                            and over again
because they are
                            dysfunctional handling their own
                            deep-seated pain.

It is sad to watch people's lives
deteriorate when you are so richly
                            blessed and the sick co-dependent
gets sicker and the dance in the
system is like one dancing to a
                            disharmonious symphony.

                                My symphony plays the harmony
of life, that is how you were
meant to live by the Father

But since Adam and Eve people teach
and teach erratic ways of relating many times
and I showed you the way

                                Obedience to God's will
                                Anything else brings disharmony and
                                    sadness for all.

A lady wore one shoe to Church and
                            her pastor said
"Where is your other
shoe" she said, "My Mother always
wore one shoe so I do too"

If you could see how you wear
one shoe before My eyes and do not
know it and when those who
                            wanted intimacy with you shouted
                            "you have on one shoe"
you became arrogant and went to
                            live alone
rather than recognize
that your nature is wounded and
                            you act incorrectly. People
sin, they have the weakness from
                            original sin and they disobey
                            God's laws and sin.

                                But your world today says
                            "Oh you are perfect
don't
                            let anyone know otherwise"
And so you are stuck like a
woman sticking her head under the
front of an open car and closing
the hood. But she should not
act like anything is wrong with
her as her bottom hangs out and
                            she muffles a little sigh.

                                You are sinners. You have
fallen, many of you, into satan's
traps and when he attacks those
in religious life they may say

"oh I am perfect, obedience is
                            taboo" and not even recognized
                            satan's attacks like the woman
hanging out from under the hood
                            of the car.

Satan comes opens the hood tells
you to look and the car is yours

you look and he lures you so much
under the hood you close the
                            hood on yourselves and then
                            deny you were attacked.

                                You blame others when your
hands are in the cookie jar and
                            you lie to yourselves, your
                            superior, whoever... because to
many of you, your god has become
proving to the world YOU ARE
                            SINLESS.

You don't fool Me and you hurt
yourselves and all others when you
sin. It is because of pride and
lies to yourselves and others you
stay stuck and block My work,

A lady had a horn blowing in
her ear and she learned to put
                            up with it.

                                My commandments shout out
as horns blowing in your ears and
you disobey them and you silence
                            your consciences.

                                Satan tells you lies about
yourself and you listen and give in.

                                Satan works on people's emotions
then they act like someone with
                            googley eyes, sort of hypnotized,
not even
realizing the Plan of salvation is at
                            hand.

If one continues to sin habitually
they go deeper and deeper into darkness.

Excerpt from January 16, 2006

Here is a story a priest told —

A frog will jump in a boiling
pan of water and jump right
                            out because of the heat.

                                But frogs love warm water
and he will jump in and stay
and if the warm water is turned
up gradually to boiling — the
frog will not notice it —
stay in the water and he will
                            die.

Jesus speaks:          Freedom is found in the truth.

When one has sinned and lies
about it they can be on
                                    a road to greater and
                                    worse sins
it opens a
                                    door to the distorted truth
                                    they have now adapted

to prove they are never wrong.

1 John 1: 8-10 - 2: 1-2

If we say, ‘We have no sin,’
we are deceiving ourselves,
and truth has no place in us;
if we acknowledge our sins,
he is trustworthy and upright,
so that he will forgive our sins
and will cleanse us from all evil.
If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’
we make him a liar,
and his word has no place in us.

My children, I am writing this
    to prevent you from sinning;
but if anyone does sin,
we have an advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ, the upright.
He is the sacrifice to expiate our sins,
and not only ours,
but also those of the whole world.

Jesus speaks:          A person that gives into satan's
                            attacks and blocks important
duties and then lies and tries to
prove others wrong for their behavior
                            has now started an avalanche
over their own head and the devil
has a big crack to keep widening
like a wedge, would do in the
crack. The devil whittles and whittles
widening the crack a little at a
time and the truth to the person
becomes more and more tainted as they
give in more and more to satan,
                            manipulating their sins through

7 Capital Sins
Pride, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth

Messenger:     God is perfect.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one.

                        Sin hurts everybody the sinner
                            and the innocent, the human
                            race, the body of Christ.

Our mission in the Shepherds of Christ is to help
bring the world into one mind
and one heart walking in the truth

Jesus speaks:  Keeping secrets from those above
                            you is wrong.

                        The devil works in secrets
A child may steal money for
                            candy for their friends, but
                            how is it done.

                        It is done secretly.

                        Stealing is wrong.

                        Lying is wrong.

Looking lustfully on another is wrong.

                        Jealousy blocking God's will is
                                wrong.

                        Anger hurting others unrelented
                                is wrong.

                        Ways of acting that are
                            wrong are passed on from
                            generations to generations

Exodus 34: 6-7

Then Yahweh passed before him and called out, ‘Yahweh, Yahweh, God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and constancy, maintaining his faithful love to thousands, forgiving fault, crime and sin, yet letting nothing go unchecked, and punishing the parent’s fault in the children and in the grandchildren to the third and fourth generation!’

Excerpt from NOW IS THE TIME by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

47. The Human Condition

        The Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us . . .
(Jn 1:14)

Sometimes we are tempted to think that the best way to be a good Christian would be to withdraw as much as possible from earthly concerns. We think how peaceful it would be to be alone with God in our own kind of hermitage, as it were, and let the world with all its worries, anxieties, and temptations pass us by. In moments of clearer thinking, however, we realize this is a dreamy kind of thinking, unrealistic thinking, thinking which does not correspond to the plan of Christic redemption.

Jesus, as man, redeemed us within the framework of the human condition. Jesus' human enfleshment placed him within the world of men, and he accepted the full implications of his being human. He did not deny his humanity; he rather lived it to the full. He lived a full human life not only when it was pleasant to do so; he also lived human existence perfectly when this meant being rejected, laughed at, spat upon, crowned with thorns, scourged, nailed to a cross in excruciating agony.

All his human acts helped redeem us. His teaching, his relationships with Mary and Joseph and others, his taking meals with friends, his gathering the little children in warm embrace, his healing of the sick, his thrilling to nature's beauty, the sufferings of his passionthese and all the rest of his human acts redeemed us.

As Jesus objectively redeemed us within the framework of the human condition, so in like manner we subjectively participate in redemption. We receive the life Jesus came to give, and mature in this life, by living the human according to God's will. We are saved, not by fleeing the human, but by embracing it according to God's plan. Whether a person is a layman involved most intensely with the secular city, or a Trappist monk within monastery walls, that person is Christian by living the human in a graced manner, or he is not Christian at all.

As did Jesus before us, we also have to accept the bitter with the sweet. We cannot accept the human condition only at those times when life rewards us with intense joy, success, enthusiasm, and the beauty and tenderness of deep love. When we experience failure or misunderstanding, when we taste the bitterness of human existence, when life seems all too much for us, when anguish and intense suffering make even one day seem endless, at these times also we have to affirm our being human. In this way we are saved; in this way we help others to be saved; in this way we follow Jesus, who always accepted his state of being human in the fullest possible manner.

1 Corinthians 15: 20-28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first–fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first–fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

1 John 4: 1

My dear friends,
not every spirit is to be trusted,
but test the spirits
to see whether they are from God,
for many false prophets
are at large in the world.

April 30, 2006 message continues

Messenger:        St. Ignatius has his discernment
                                of spirits.

                            (1)  We can get thoughts from our
                                        own mind.

                            (2)  The devil can tell us things
                                        some people even hear voices.

                            (3)  The Holy Spirit can inspire
                                        us.

                            Discernment of Spirits is crucial.

Many act like a leaf in the
                                wind
if they start
                                to feel sad
they act
                                out and begin punishing
                                someone else

A person was pressed on so much
                                by the devil they heard
                                voices from the devil,
                                said they were from God

                                then charged others responsible
                                for their voices and
                                threatened to burn down their
                                building and do something
                                to the people threatening
                                their lives
if the voices
                                in their head didn't
                                stop.

They had slipped out of real,
                                reality to a place so
                                bizarre they were acting
out because of the voices in their
                                head.

                            You think this is sick.

                            Those assassinating a figure
                                in office - think
                                this way
they think
                                they are a hero many
                                times. I realized this
                                from a play I watched
                                on assassins.

If we do not discern the spirits
if we think we are right

if we innocently hurt others when
                                we feel bad
it
                                is wrong.

                                The virtue of justice bids
us to give to others what is
                            their do.

Romans 1: 18-32

The retribution of God from heaven is being revealed against the ungodliness and injustice of human beings who in their injustice hold back the truth. For what can be known about God is perfectly plain to them, since God has made it plain to them: ever since the creation of the world, the invisible existence of God and his everlasting power have been clearly seen by the mind’s understanding of created things. And so these people have no excuse: they knew God and yet they did not honour him as God or give thanks to him, but their arguments became futile and their uncomprehending minds were darkened. While they claimed to be wise, in fact they were growing so stupid that they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an imitation, for the image of a mortal human being, or of birds, or animals, or crawling things.

That is why God abandoned them in their inmost cravings to filthy practices of dishonouring their own bodies— because they exchanged God’s truth for a lie and have worshipped and served the creature instead of the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

That is why God abandoned them to degrading passions: why their women have exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural practices; and the men, in a similar fashion, too, giving up normal relations with women, are consumed with passion for each other, men doing shameful things with men and receiving in themselves due reward for their perversion.

In other words, since they would not consent to acknowledge God, God abandoned them to their unacceptable thoughts and indecent behaviour. And so now they are steeped in all sorts of injustice, rottenness, greed and malice; full of envy, murder, wrangling, treachery and spite, libellers, slanderers, enemies of God, rude, arrogant and boastful, enterprising in evil, rebellious to parents, without brains, honour, love or pity. They are well aware of God’s ordinance: that those who behave like this deserve to die—yet they not only do it, but even applaud others who do the same.

April 30, 2006 message continues

Messenger:             Into such a depraved condition
                            of mankind Christ entered, with
a full and generous heart, to
lead men from the depths of his
                            sinfulness to the vibrant riches
of a new life in Himself.
                            This Christ had become through
                            His enfleshment the focal point
of all history. All the authentic
hopes and dreams of all ages, now
                            overshadowed so deeply by the
                            ugliness of sin, came converging
                            upon this Christ. He would
gather them up in Himself, give
them a new luster and brilliance
                            and dynamism, and would
                            lead the renewed human race
back to the Father in the Spirit.

                                Christ came, then, for a
double purpose, or rather for a
                            single purpose with two facets.
He was radically to release us
from the dominion of sin and to
elevate us to a new level of
                            existence.

We are to love each other.

Jesus speaks:        To be in this Movement and
not be loving, loving Me and
each other is to not work for
                            the reason it exists.

                                Satan comes in lethargy,
                            selfishness
this self-focus
                            does not improve
if all one
thinks of is themselves, they will
not grow if they continue to
                            live a certain way.

                                Satan wants to take you
                            down and down and down

                                Live to become more pure
                                    not more dark

Mary's call to conversion is for
                                world peace. Ignoring Our Lady
of Clearwater and her wishes as
Our Lady of Fatima in the
Americas is not going to help us.

                                We must overcome our
                            sinful ways with loving

                                We must seek for holiness.
                            Living the Consecration to the
Hearts of Jesus and Mary is
a way we live more deeply
                            our commitment in baptism.

Jesus speaks:          Mary's face is gentle
                                Mary's love is kind

                            Mary served as the perfect
                                handmaid of the Lord.

Messenger:        Jesus' Heart is a symbol
                                of His love.

                            Mary's Heart is a symbol
                                of Her love.

The Age of the Two Hearts is
to be an age in which
                                men are deeply united
                                in love, living in oneness
in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

 John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

Messenger:            To be like Christ is to love.
To be like Christ is to serve.

Jesus speaks:      I shed tears of blood for those
who profess to be holy, but

                                Men blocked My Blue Books

I tell you, I am God

I want you to help Me and
circulate My letters of love to
                            the hurting souls.

                                Make light of My site
                            in Florida and My face
                            is there
if you see cars
and miss My face, you are
                            like the woman with one
shoe. She is so blind she
                            doesn't know it.

                                The devil attacks commitment,
He tells you to not be faithful
to your vocation and you listen

The devil says "You deserve to do nothing

                                it won't matter."

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary speaks:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Jesus speaks:      I cry bloody tears to you.

                            Souls are at stake.

                            Don't give into pride.

You are here to be growing
                                in your holiness.

Being childish at an old age
                                ignoring what God wants
you to do is wasting your
                                precious time here.

Promises of Our Lord to those devoted to His Sacred Heart:

  1. I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
  2. I will establish peace in their homes.
  3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
  4. I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.
  5. I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.
  6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.
  7. Tepid souls shall grow fervent.
  8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
  9. I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.
  10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
  11. Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
  12. I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

Messenger:        I wish to discuss holiness in terms of consecration,
which we discussed in Part II of this book.
Let's recall some of the ideas discussed there.

Only God can make us holy, and, at Baptism,
He initiates us into the life of holiness. He
                                objectively consecrates us-makes us holy-by
giving us a participation in His own holiness.
This participation in God's holiness is our life
of sanctifying grace. In a response of love, we
are called to say "yes" to this objective consecration.
This "yes" is our act of subjective consecration.
This "yes" is our allowing Christ to take us to the
Father, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary, our Mother,
                                at our side.

God consecrates us in Baptism through the mediation
of Christ. Our baptismal consecration is actually a
                                share in Christ's own consecration.

Our Lady of Medjugorje's call to a life of holiness is a
call to consecration to the Heart of Jesus and to her
own Immaculate Heart. It is a carryover of her requests
at Fatima. Growth in the life of holiness is growth in
our life of consecration, and the messages of Mary at
Medjugorje teach us what is involved in this life of
holiness. They teach us how to grow in our life of
consecration. They teach us how to say "yes" each
day of our lives to what the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
                                ask of us.

In Baptism, we are initially consecrated to the Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit. So our life of consecration to the Heart
of Christ is also a Trinitarian Consecration.

Messenger:            Mary, the Mother of Christ, knows
that we cannot go to the Father
                            without Jesus. Jesus Himself told
                            us as much.

John 14: 6-7

Jesus said:

I am the Way; I am Truth and Life.
No one can come to the Father
        except through me.
    If you know me,
you will know my Father too.
From this moment you know him
        and have seen him.

April 30, 2006 message continues

Messenger:         Mary loves Jesus

                            Mary appeared in Clearwater to
                                lead us to Jesus.

                            Mary, as always, cooperates
with the Holy Spirit in our ever
                                greater assimilation to Jesus.
                                This assimilation, this transformation
                                stems from Mary's Immaculate
Heart. As Jesus was born of Mary
by the power of the Holy Spirit, so we are
                                continually being born of Mary
in the Holy Spirit, into a greater likeness
                                of Christ.

Excerpt from Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!"

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.

Messenger:             Mary knows very well that if
we are to grow in the likeness
                                of Christ, we must abandon
                                ourselves to the Holy Spirit.

Mary herself has a most perfect
relationship with the Persons of the
Trinity. She is daughter of the
Father, Mother of the Son, and
Spouse of the Holy Spirit. As
                            our spiritual Mother, she longs
for us to grow in our own
                            relationships with the Divine
                            Persons. We should always pray
for the grace to fulfill her maternal
wish. She has repeated it to us
                            so many times
now, again,
                                in these most urgent times.

In Mary's and Jesus' school for
                            holiness they tell us we
                            must live according to the
                            Father's will

                            Living in Their Hearts will
                                help us live according to
                                the Father's will

What does it mean to display
Jesus and Mary's Heart and be unloving.

What does it mean to read the commandments
                                daily and disobey them ourselves?

What does it mean to tell others about
God's will and selfishly give into
                                isolation when we should
                                be working with others
                                on a job

What does it mean to provoke others
so they leave, so we can be isolated?

A man wanted to be alone and
do what he wanted so he provoked
                             all around him to leave
the others who
needed to stay and do God's work

but he became so ugly they
                             had to leave to protect
                             themselves.

                                How often does satan
                            work on certain individuals
who like to be alone, provoke
                            fights, arguments to do what
they want and be alone when
they have a job to do.

If they are alone, they can
                            do what they want.

                                If they are with others
they pick a fight to be alone.

                                The Persons of the Trinity
                            are One.

Excerpt from Response to God's Love,

by Father Edward Carter, S.J.

                                 1

The Mystery of Christ and
            Christian Existence

...In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

Handmaids of the Good Shepherd

Kathleen W.

I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love! I write this for the honor and glory of God and in thanksgiving to Jesus for calling me to this Movement.

Jesus says in St. John's Gospel, "You did not choose me, no, I chose you…" Jn 15:16.

What a calling! To be chosen to be a Handmaid of the Good Shepherd! His special spouse! The spouse of THE KING & CREATOR of the Universe!

WOW! And a Movement personally directed by Jesus! Thank you, Jesus!

Words cannot express all I would like to say. Since 1st grade I wanted to be a nun. I saw the nuns at my school and I wanted to be like them. Unfortunately growing up... all the peer pressure in school and the struggles of young adulthood took away any hope of being a nun. I followed the ways of the world and left Jesus out of my life.

During my senior year of nursing, the seed of pursuing a religious vocation sprang up again in my heart. I started attending daily Mass as often as I could, and Mary our Mother was bringing me closer to Jesus. My 1st choice was Mother Teresa's Order, however, that didn't happen for me.

After graduation from nursing school I went to a Bible Institute Retreat at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. While there, I attended a Baptism of the Spirit Seminar and felt a strong presence of the Holy Spirit.

That fall, in 1996, I went back to Ohio for another retreat, and while I was in the chapel one evening, I picked up God's Blue Book II and read a message on Communion from Jesus. I almost fell out of my pew! The message touched me deep in my heart. Thankfully, I was able to take the book home. the messages were awesome! I never knew of having such an intimate relationship with Jesus!

I started spending an hour everyday after Mass. I joined the Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart and later started a Shepherds of Christ Prayer Chapter. I got the other Blue Books, the rosary book and rosary tapes. I felt so committed to praying the prayers and the rosary mediations were so powerful! I thank Jesus and Mary for all these revelations!

I heard about the handmaids in 1998, while ordering through the Shepherds of Christ. I was really interested in them. I thought maybe this is where God is calling me. I kept praying to do His will.

Jesus, in His time, made it all work out. When we give our lives to Jesus, He can do more than we could ever ask for or imagine! Jesus loves us!

I feel so blessed and privileged to be in the formation of being a handmaid! Thank you, my Father, for this Movement and all the beautiful people in it! Thank you, Holy Spirit, for your tremendous work in my soul! Thank you, Jesus, for choosing me for this special calling. And like Mary, my life is a continuous FIAT. "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior." and "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word."

How has Shepherds of Christ changed my life?

The first time I opened God's Blue Book, I knew that Jesus was speaking to me! The message was just what I needed that day!

I had not attended daily Mass since Catholic High School, approximately 30 years previous. MY PRAYER LIFE had been practically non-existent -- attending Sunday Mass and calling on God during trials. In fact, the threat of my husband dying of cancer took me back to praying the rosary and praying novenas to the Blessed Mother. After he died I was at a loss, for I considered him my "rock". For the first time ever in my life, I began praying to do God's will. I had a career, but I felt in my heart that I didn't want to do that for the rest of my working life.

I was invited by a friend to make a Cursillo weekend and without hesitation, said yes. Following the grace-filled weekend, I entered the chapel for adoration and picked up the Blue Book, which I had ignored for weeks. I immediately fell in love with Jesus and my life began to change! With the help of Jesus through the Blue Book, along with daily Mass and Holy Communion and spending time after Communion with Jesus and time in prayer, I was able to work through my depression, which I had even denied existed.

After giving out many Blue Books to relatives and friends, I received an invitation to attend the first monthly Shepherds of Christ national prayer meeting at Tom A's farm held on October 13, 1996, with Rita leading a Live Rosary. I felt drawn to every meeting after that, and soon found myself in the core group at Morrow, Ohio, attending weekly prayer meetings with Live Rosaries. Through the use of the Blue Books, mostly in front of the tabernacle, weekly prayer meetings, and rosaries at Morrow, I have grown closer to Jesus than I ever thought possible.

I thank Jesus every day for His many graces and the deep love that He gives me to draw me closer and closer to Him. I also thank my spiritual Mother, Mary, with all my heart for her help when I turned to her in desperation and for the help she's given me throughout my life.

As an apostle working in Florida at Our Lady's Image Site, I have a great opportunity to spread the light and love of Christ to all I meet!!!

Mary G.

How has being a member of Shepherds of Christ has changed my life?

When I was a baby, we lived next door to a convent and I had 12 years of Catholic education. I married and lived Cincinnati eventually. After my civil divorce, my three younger children and I moved back to Price Hill in Cincinnati where I grew up. This time brought me the Catholic Charismatic experience.

Dad died in '86, and I moved away to a small town. Though I tried, I thought no Catholic church or prayer group met my needs so I attended Protestant prayer meetings and services. I found ministers and prayer groups that deeply love the Lord Jesus, and I would still be in these circles except that I went back to Cincinnati to visit. I hadn't told my old friends that I was no longer a practicing Catholic so I joined them when they attended charismatic functions. At one of these I was given Blue Book I.

Actually, someone tried to give it to me and I wouldn't take it saying, I had too much to read , so it was given to the friend I was staying with. When we got home and she was out of the room, I opened the book so I could congratulate myself for not accepting it.

That's Jesus! Jesus is speaking in this book! I read almost the whole book that night, then I ate humble pie and phoned the lady who had pressed me to accept it. I received it in a few days.

Back home I read and reread it. Jesus was speaking loud and clear and I went to the nearest church and made a confession and resumed my long neglected practice of daily Mass. I also began to go to the Shepherds of Christ chapter meetings in Morrow, Ohio, where I heard the call for volunteers to come to the Virgin Mary Site in Clearwater, Florida.

How well I understand God's words, "Your thoughts are not My thoughts!".

Changing my thoughts and my ways comes more slowly than changing my address, which is now Clearwater, Florida.

Though retirement isn't at all what I thought it would be, I wouldn't trade places with anyone at all.

Toward the end of the great
Sermon on the Mount in Matthew's
                            Gospel Christ sums up the
teaching of the sermon in this way:

John 8: 28-29

So Jesus said:

When you have lifted up the Son of man,
then you will know that I am He
and that I do nothing of my own accord.
   What I say
   is what the Father has taught me;
he who sent me is with me,
and has not left me to myself,
for I always do what pleases him.

Messenger:         Yes, Jesus always did what pleased
His Father. In love, He always
did the Father's will. At that
                                most special moment of His
life, as He was about to offer
His life in sacrifice upon the
Cross for the salvation of the world,
He again showed us that His conformity
in love to His Father's will
                                was the summary principle of
                                His existence.

As He knelt in the garden

Luke 22: 42-43

'Father,' he said, 'if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done, not mine.' Then an angel appeared to him, coming from heaven to give him strength.

Messenger:             ALL the great spiritual guides,
down through the ages, true to
                            their Mother's teaching, have taught
that growth in the spiritual life

                            growth in holiness
is always
                            measured by growth in loving
                            conformity to God's will!!

The Two Hearts and Sanctity

Jesus: "My beloved priest companion, I and My Mother have given you a consuming desire to spread devotion to Our Hearts. Tell My people about the great riches contained in My Sacred Heart and Mary's Immaculate Heart! Tell My people that they live in the age of the Two Hearts. What I and My Mother said at Fatima has been gradually unfolding. The Fatima message is centered in devotion to Our Hearts. The triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart, foretold at Fatima, is soon to take place. This triumph will coincide with the era of peace for the world which My Mother foretold at Fatima. This great new age of peace for the Church and the world will be characterized by the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart.

"Because this is the age of the Two Hearts, the quickest and surest way to sanctity is through devotion to My Heart and Mary's Heart. Such devotion reaches its highest point in consecration to Our Hearts. Within Our Hearts My people will be clothed with great graces! Their love for God and neighbor will deepen tremendously! They will be fired with a holy and burning desire to love God and neighbor in all their daily activities as guided by the Holy Spirit. Dwelling within Our Hearts, My people will long to help bring back an alienated world to conform to My Father's will.

"My friend, I and My Mother have allowed you to experience in an extraordinary way the riches contained in Our Hearts. Tell My people about these riches! Tell them that I and Mary long for them to come within Our Hearts! I am Lord and Master. Please listen to My words. Come to Our Hearts!"

Reflection: Jesus tells us that we live in the age of the Two Hearts, and that within His Heart and Mary's Heart we receive graces to raise us to great sanctity. What is sanctity? It is doing God's will out of love, and God's will is summed up in love of God and love of neighbor. In the above message Jesus refers to this love of God and neighbor. In the Gospel, Jesus expressed it in this way:

But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees they got together and, to disconcert him, one of them put a question, "Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?" Jesus said, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets also" (Matthew 22:34-40).

Sanctity, then, is centered in love of God and neighbor. Thus, to grow in sanctity is to grow in love of God and neighbor. Jesus tells us in the above message that within His Heart and Mary's Heart we find the graces to achieve great sanctity. Dwelling within the Two Hearts, we receive the capacity to become tremendous lovers!

Excerpt from February 12, 2006

Mary speaks:     My heart was pierced with a
sword, I watched the bitter passion
of my Son for the deceptive ways
of those tuned to dark nights
                        and sin.

                            My children, His flesh was
torn for your sins of pride and getting
                        even.

In the end it will be put to light —
all the evil deeds brought out like
trophies in the case, but they will
not shine, they will have a stench
and be covered with dark dried
                        blood.

My Son shed His blood for your
sins and He offers you forgiveness
through the priest — go to him —
tell him your sin of deception and
beg for the grace to live always in
the truth. Live a life of purity.
Go to confession, tell of your sins
of anger, lust, tell God you are
                            sorry —

If you lie to yourself — your lie gets
bigger and bigger and your house
                            (your interior self, Mary means)
gets filled with a bolder so big
and it grows like a snowball everyday
                            going down a hill.

Truth — is the way —

The more you walk in truth your
light will shine and you will
                            become more deeply united to
                            God.

How many teachers so focused on
themselves and their own pride have
led young people away from the
                        truth.

Eve wanted to be equal to God.

                            How many teachers of religious
matters who think first of their
own glory and the world is crying
like babies for the truth —
                            crying and crying —

Give the babies their medicine —
Give them these writings of God's Blue
                            Book and the other writing
on the rosary we give you.

I am Mary your Mother —
                        I am all pure.

Excerpts from April 26, 1995 Rosary

Mary Is Taken Up Into Heaven, Body and Soul

5.  Mary: I wrap you, my beloved, dear, sweet children, in my arms. I hold you close to my Heart. I protect you from this world as any mother would protect her little child. You are my little child, my dear one. I am forever with you.

Mary Is Crowned Queen of Heaven

2.  Mary: My beloved ones, you will have a period of struggle. Stay close to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

3.  Mary: Our Hearts are a symbol of greatest love for you.

4.  Mary: In your wildest imagination, you cannot image the deep and most tender love that my Son has for you. Pray to the Spirit to open your heart so you may feel more and more the great love that Jesus, my Son, has for you.

5.  Mary: God wants you to be joined with Him forever and ever in the courts of heaven. You must, every minute of your life, seek after holiness. The devil goes about this earth prowling and aiming to trip men in their paths. My dear, little ones, Jesus, my Son, loves you with the deepest love. Focus on the love of Jesus.

6.  Mary: I call to you! I call to you! I call to you! I am Mary, the mother of God, and I am your mother. My dear little ones, harken to my call, for you are my chosen ones.

7.  Mary: You are commissioned through baptism to go out into this world and spread the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not hold back but let your hearts be forever open and the love of God will flow from you and radiate from your very being.

8.  Mary: I am Mary, your mother! My beloved children, how I love you with the most maternal love. I love you! I love you! I am waiting for you to come closer to my Heart.

Ezekiel 34: 11-16

“For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shall take care of my flock and look after it. As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shall I look after my sheep. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness. I shall bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shall gather them back from the countries and bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the inhabited parts of the country. I shall feed them in good pasturage; the highest mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground. There they will rest in good grazing grounds; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel. I myself shall pasture my sheep, I myself shall give them rest–declares the Lord Yahweh. I shall look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. I shall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them."

Daniel 7: 9-10, 13-14

While I was watching,
thrones were set in place
and one most venerable took his seat.
His robe was white as snow,
the hair of his head as pure as wool.
His throne was a blaze of flames,
its wheels were a burning fire.
A stream of fire poured out,
issuing from his presence.
A thousand thousand waited on him,
ten thousand times ten thousand
   stood before him.
The court was in session
and the books lay open.

I was gazing into the visions of the night,
when I saw,
coming on the clouds of heaven,
as it were a son of man.
He came to the One most venerable
and was led into his presence.
On him was conferred rule,
honour and kingship,
and all peoples, nations and languages
    became his servants.
His rule is an everlasting rule
which will never pass away,
and his kingship will never

Psalm 97, 1-2, 5-6, 9

Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice,
the many isles be glad!
Cloud, black cloud enfolds him,
saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.

The mountains melt like wax,
before the Lord of all the earth.
The heavens proclaim his saving justice,
all nations see his glory.

For you are Yahweh,
Most High over all the earth,
far transcending all gods.

Matthew 17: 1-9

Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his face shone like the sun and his clothes became as dazzling as light. And suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared to them; they were talking with him. Then Peter spoke to Jesus. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; if you want me to, I will make three shelters here, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He was still speaking when suddenly a bright cloud covered them with shadow, and suddenly from the cloud there came a voice which said, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. Listen to him.’ When they heard this, the disciples fell on their faces, overcome with fear. But Jesus came up and touched them, saying, ‘Stand up, do not be afraid.’ And when they raised their eyes they saw no one but Jesus.

As they came down from the mountain Jesus gave them this order, ‘Tell no one about this vision until the Son of man has risen from the dead.’

Shepherds of Christ Meeting

Before tabernacle. Jesus and Mary appeared.

I Love You!  I Love You!  I Love You!

This rosary was prayed before the statue of Our Mother of Sorrows at the front of the Holy Rosary Chapel at the Holy Spirit Center as part of the Shepherds of Christ Meeting. Mary appeared. Jesus appeared and He told Rita that this rosary was a gift to us from Him because He wants to be drawn closely to us through His Passion and death because as we meditate on this, we will know His immense love: He stated that this would be the best rosary yet. This rosary was prayed on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.

The Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

1.  R.  See Jesus as He kneels in the Garden.

2.  R.  Put yourself there and see Him as if you were present. See Jesus, our Lord and Savior, as He waits, His hour is about to come, to be handed over to those who will put Him to death.

3.  R.  Jesus sees before Him all the battering, the whipping, the scourging, the crowning of thorns. He sees all the glaring! He knows all He will suffer in carrying His cross, the nailing to the cross!

4.  R.  Jesus goes to the apostles, to Peter who said how faithful he would always be. They are asleep! He wants some comfort, but they were sleeping! He says to us this day: Can you not watch one hour with Me? The Son of God waits for you endlessly to come and to have time with Him. He waits for us in the Tabernacle. He waits for us all through the day to take time in our busy lives to be with Him. He says over and over again: Can you not watch one hour with Me?

5.  R.  See Jesus as He kneels there in the darkened night. His greatest agonies were not the agonies that He would suffer in wounds to His body, but the agonies that He suffered to His Heart. To love each soul so dearly and to be treated with such indifference and hatred by so many souls! He saw each and every soul from all time and how they would reject Him and not even think of Him. How they would sin. How they would be cruel and hateful to each other. He saw all the sins of the world!

6.  R.  Jesus saw the world in the state that it is in this very day: all the people who hardened their hearts, all those who turned from kindness entirely, those who think only of themselves, those who are filled with hate and anger for their brothers. He saw all the hearts of the people that live in this day that  have shunned Him, that have turned Him off, that have persecuted others, that have murdered babies! He saw all these hearts.

7.  R.  Such immense agony to His Most Sacred Heart for all the souls that would be condemned to eternal damnation despite all the suffering that He was about to undergo because of their willfulness. Out of greatest love, God gives us a free will. We have a free will to accept Him or to reject Him.

8.  R.  The Father wants us, like little children, entirely dependent upon Him; to live in His will; to  think of Him as our Most Loving Father; to have a relationship with Him as we would have with our father. He is the Most Loving Father! He created each one of us out of greatest love and He loves us so much and wants us to love Him.

9.  R.  Jesus went to the apostles and they continued to sleep. An angel of the Lord appeared to Him to comfort Him.

10.  R.  How this delights the Heart of Jesus when we take time, time away from our busy lives at home and in front of the Tabernacle. How it delights His Heart when we spend time with Him in the early morning hours. He wants to be so close to us and He waits for us to come to Him and tell Him how much we love Him. He truly loves us with a Heart that is overflowing with burning love.

Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar

1.  R.  They led Jesus away. They pulled His hair! They hit Him! They tied Him, with such anger and hatred to the pillar!

2.  R.  See Jesus, your Beloved Savior! Minute by minute, second by second, He says in your heart ever so silently: I love you, I love you, I love you! Do we realize that, that Jesus is with us in our hearts all throughout our busy days? He is calling out in a gentle voice for each one of us to hear in our hearts: I love you, I love you, I love you!

3.  R.  See Jesus at the pillar! See your Beloved! His bare back unblemished and with the blows that the men gave to Him, instantly the flesh on His back torn and bloodied, beaten raw! With their angry hearts, they pound on Jesus so hard with sharp instruments.

4.  R.  See the unblemished back of Jesus! Visualize it! Young, thirty-three years old! See it beaten raw and you will know in the vision that you see now that He was scourged because He loves each one of us so much.

5.  R.  Jesus did not call out or holler back. He suffered in compliance to the Father's Will. He was born a baby to show us that He came into this world totally helpless, dependent upon His Mother as He wants us to depend on our Father, to go to our Father, to Him and to the Holy Spirit for all our needs. For second by second, minute by minute, Jesus is inside of our hearts calling out that with that ever gentle voice: I love you, I love you, I love you!

6.  R.  Do we plug up our ears and close our eyes because we do not want to get too close to Jesus? This is Jesus! His back was unmercifully scourged, dripping with blood from the top of His head to His feet, standing in a puddle of His own blood and He calls out to you: I love you!

7.  R.  Minute by minute, second by second, He is there if we take time to listen. When others say nasty things to us and the world is pressing down on us, hear this soft voice inside of you saying ever so gently: I am here and I love you!

8.  R.  Jesus is Love! To unite closely to Him, we must rid our hearts of anything that is not love. The slightest flaws are offensive to  Him. But He forgives us. He is so full of mercy. He wants us to admit what we do, to say we are sorry, to go to the priest and to not think about our sins for it is our job to spread His light to this world. He wants us to strive for perfection, but He knows we are not perfect. He wants us to have a contrite heart. He is so gentle with us. He just wants us to say we are sorry and then move on and spread His love and His light to our brothers.

9.  R.  The Holy Spirit is the sanctifier! God wants us to be holy. As our Heavenly Father is perfect, He wants us to strive for perfection. But we of ourselves cannot make ourselves this holy. The more we pray to the Spirit, the more He sanctifies us, the easier it becomes for us to be more and more as Jesus wants us to be. The Father created us in His own image. Such dignity and honor He gives to each one of us that He created us in the image and likeness of God. The Spirit transforms us more and more into this image of Jesus. Dear Holy Spirit, please descend upon us and transform our hearts more and more into the image of Jesus so that we may be led closer to our Most Loving Father Who loves us as the most dear Father.

10. R. And He walked away. His bloody footprints covered the earth! He shed His blood for love of us. We are blind! We are deaf! We do not see and we do not hear! And that still small voice cries out from within: This is how I love you, that I truly was scourged and gave My blood for you. I want to give you My life, more and more, in such abundance! My life I give to you in the Eucharist and when you sit in front of the Tabernacle. My abundant life ìs My grace I outpour to you!

Song between decades: A Song from Jesus

Jesus is Crowned with a Crown of Thorns

1.  R.  They pounded into Jesus' head a sharp crown of piercing thorns and the blood ran down His face into His eyes and into His ears.

2.  R.  It is through His Most Precious Blood that we are saved!

3.  R.  See this vision of the blood on Jesus' face in your mind. Try to visualize it as clearly as possible. The bright red blood as it flows down His face and the thorns that punctured His skull! It is in meditating and focusing on a vision that is like this, and that of His scourged back, that you will realize more and more the immensity of His great love. Jesus truly calls out to us that this is how much He loved us and He asks us this Lent to draw ever closer to His Passion, for our hearts will be joined ever closer to His in meditating on His Passion and Death!

4.  Jesus:  They beat My body and they crowned My head with thorns! They hollered insults at Me and they spit on Me! Do you know how dearly I love each one of you? I will outpour My grace to you if you ask this Lent. I ask you to meditate fervently on My Passion. Look at the crucifix! When you feel you are suffering, look at the crucifix for I truly say to you in your heart, minute by minute, second by second: I love you, I love you, I love you.

5.  Jesus:  Stop when someone is taunting you and hear My gentle voice deep in your heart for I call out to you that this is the love that I have for you this day. Will you listen to Me in your heart as I say this so gently many times throughout the day as you get caught up in your world. Others come about, they distract you, they make you feel hurtful in your hearts, and I am right there with My Heart on fire for love of you saying so gently to you how I love you. When someone hurts you, hear Me! For a heart that is filled with My love cannot be angry. It is this that will mend the fence between you and your brother when you always respond with love. But you must know My deep love for you to be able to respond this way. So I say to you this day, minute by minute, second by second, hear a soft voice in your heart say to you: I love you, I love you, I love you!

6.  Jesus:  You are My chosen ones. I have called you here to spread the love of My Sacred Heart throughout this world. This is not a small task. You cannot spread love unless you realize the immensity of the love that I have for you. Will you open up your heart? Will you take the time to listen? Will you focus on Me and this love that I have for you so that you can be the soldiers that I am sending out into this world? The soldiers that are filled with My love that will light this world in the dark corners through the love that you know deep in your heart, My love, ever beating within your breast.

7.  R.  They spit on Him. They crowned Him with thorns! They hit Him! They poked at Him! And He loved! He loved those who spit on Him!

8.  Jesus:  Let Me fill your every moment with My love. Focus on what I am telling you here this night for this is the key to send you out into the world with hearts that are abundantly filled with the love of God. But you must hear Me as I speak to you today and I say so gently all through the day: I love you, I love you, I love you!

9.  Jesus:  The more you unite with My Mother, whom I love, the more you pray to the Spirit, the more you are transformed into My image. You are My soldiers that I send to go into the world. You are to spread the love of My Most Sacred Heart and the love of My Beloved Mother's Heart. I call out to you today. Will you hear Me in your heart? This is the ammunition you need to go into this world. A heart filled with My love is fearless. I send you as fearless soldiers into a world that has forgotten God and I ask  you to hear Me as I talk to you in your heart, minute by minute, second by second. For this will be the love that you give to this hurting world.

10.  Song:  Lord, let me walk that lonesome road with You.

Jesus Carries His Cross up Calvary

1.  R.  Jesus carried His cross on His shoulder and it hurt so badly it felt as if it would break!

2.  R.  Think of an ache that could not be relieved in any way, that only got worse and worse. Now think of all the aches and pains that Jesus had all over His body, the wounds that were so deep and bleeding, and He carried the heavy cross on His back as He bled. He could not even touch the wounds. The wounds bled freely as He walked. From His Heart pounding, they bled and bled. And they poked at Him because He did not go fast enough. He collapsed under the cross. He did not give the cross up, He collapsed because it was so heavy He could scarcely move the cross. They poked at Him and they wanted Him to get up and move and move fast!

3.  R.  Jesus fell once because it was so heavy. As He went on, His condition was weakened. He bled more and the cross became heavier as He went. Can you, even a little, think about the third time He fell under the cross? Three times He fell under the cross. Three times Peter denied Him. Three times is used so much in His life. He died when He was thirty-three. There are three Persons in the Trinity. Three Persons in one God! We are loved so dearly by each Person, Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

4.  R.  Jesus was locked in the tomb for three days. He was lost in the temple for three days.

5.  R.  Jesus calls us to unity. Look at the Trinity. There are three Persons in one God. There is such love between the Persons of the Trinity.  We receive the body of Christ, we are many members, but we are one in Him.

6.  R.  Jesus loves us so much that He gave His body and His blood and He gives His body to us this day. When we receive Him in the Eucharist, I become one in Him, you become one in Him. If I am one in Him and you are one in Him, we are so closely united. We are united with Jesus.

7.  Song:  One Bread, One Body

8.  R.  Jesus took upon His back the weight of the sins of the world. He died on the cross. He gave His flesh and His blood for love of us so that we may share in His Divine Life. This is how He loves us. We are all brothers in Christ.

9.  R.  How can I say that I love if I do not love my brother? How can I love God, Whom I do not see, if I do not love my brother, whom I do see?

10.  R.  We are one body in Christ; He is the head, we are the members.

Song between decades: A Song from Jesus

Jesus is Crucified and He Dies on the Cross

1.  R.  Jesus hung on the cross against the darkened sky. Jesus hung for three hours. Three agonizing hours! He gave His flesh and He gave His blood!

Song:  Take and Eat

2.  R.  When the priest raises the Host at the consecration of the Mass, I hear Jesus say: This is My body, given up for you. This is My blood, given up for you. When you go to Mass, hear in your heart Jesus as He says in a clear voice: This is My body. This is My blood. The priest has the power to change the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. If we realized even a minute amount of what is transpiring: the Father is present and the Holy Spirit is present; Jesus is saying "This is My Body"; the altar is covered with angels and saints praising God, who is truly present; we are in the presence of God and the priest has this power. We should kiss the hands of the priest that consecrates the bread into Jesus' body. Hear Jesus' voice in your heart the next time you go to Mass say: This is My body, This is My blood. Then think that this is the same Jesus Christ that hung on the cross. The same Jesus that hung on the cross. He is right there out of greatest love for us!

3.  Song:  Take and Eat

4.  R.  Who are we that God loves us so much that He gives us Himself in such union when we receive the Eucharist and we become one in Him. One in God! Who are we that we can be united to God! That I become one in God and you become one in God! We become one with each other. Who are we that God loves us so much?

5.  Song:  I Love You Jesus

6.  R.  Jesus died on the cross so that we could share in His life and He nourishes this life through His very own Body and Blood!

7.  R.  Jesus waits in the Tabernacle in this world and longs and thirsts for us to come and to be with Him for He is no less present than the day He hung on the cross. This is Jesus Christ, the Son of God! He is so close to us in this room, for He is in the Chapel and He is in our midst!

8.  R.  God is here! Let us bend low and realize how we are loved and favored that He cares for us!

9.  R.  Let us see ourselves as the Father's creation. God the Father created us with greatest love in His own image and likeness. Let us hear the gentle voice of Jesus as He calls out in our hearts: I love you, I love you, I love you. Even though we are not perfect, when we sin, we recognize our sin and tell Him we are sorry and then go about our job to spread the light to this world for He knows that we are not perfect although He wants us to strive to be perfect. He is so gentle and loving to us. He forgives all our sins and He gave the power to the priest to take away all our sins! Who are we that God gives the priest the power to remove our sins through Him? We are His chosen children! We are the children of God! We are His loved ones for whom Jesus Christ came to this earth, shed His blood, gave His body and remains with us this day in His Divinity and humanity, waiting for us to come and to be with Him.

10.  Jesus:  My dear children, you are on your spiritual journey. I want to walk hand in hand with you. As you go through these days in Lent, draw yourselves ever closer to My Passion and My Death. Realize more and more My immense love for you, for I truly want you to go out into the world and spread this love to your brothers. These are your brothers! You are one body!
