Acts 18: 1-8

After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth, where he met a Jew called Aquila whose family came from Pontus. He and his wife Priscilla had recently left Italy because an edict of Claudius had expelled all the Jews from Rome. Paul went to visit them, and when he found they were tentmakers, of the same trade as himself, he lodged with them, and they worked together.  Every Sabbath he used to hold debates in the synagogues, trying to convert Jews as well as Greeks.

After Silas and Timothy had arrived from Macedonia, Paul devoted all his time to preaching, declaring to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. When they turned against him and started to insult him, he took his cloak and shook it out in front of them, saying, 'Your blood be on your own heads; from now on I will go to the gentiles with a clear conscience.' Then he left the synagogue and moved to the house next door that belonged to a worshipper of God called Justus. Crispus, president of the synagogue, and his whole household, all became believers in the Lord. Many Corinthians when they heard this became believers and were baptised.

John 16: 16-20

In a short time you will no longer see me, and then a short time later
        you will see me again.

Then some of his disciples said to one another, ‘What does he mean, "In a short time you will no longer see me, and then a short time later you will see me again," and, "I am going to the Father"? What is this "short time"? We don’t know what he means.’ Jesus knew that they wanted to question him, so he said, ‘You are asking one another what I meant by saying, "In a short time you will no longer see me, and then a short time later you will see me again."

'In all truth I tell you,
you will be weeping and wailing
while the world will rejoice;
you will be sorrowful,
but your sorrow will turn to joy.

The priest at Mass today talked about
tents. It was important that it
said Paul was a tent maker.

Catholic he said means big tent in
some dialect — He said we have to let everyone
under our tent as a place of refuge. We open
our tent — We open the doors of the Church —
We open our hearts — We want the world to be
                one.

Tonight I will do the Sidney Rosary — I pray
that husbands and wives and children all over the
world will love Jesus and live as God the Father
                wants in the Holy Spirit.

I pray for the Father's will to be done on earth
as it is in heaven — the Father's will being - every
one having the plan of the Father, living in one
                accord as God desires —

It is so simple to me that we can act
                taintedly, selfishly, pridefully, in envy,
lustfully — for our own vain glory —

I love God so much. In loving God this much
we want His will — we love His will — a married
man wouldn't flirt with another woman — he
in loving the Father's will — loving Jesus and not
wanting to offend Him. My life focuses on my
relationship with God — I am His creature —
my life makes sense living His plan only —

Look at this a DVD disc player was made
for this purpose — it doesn't have a TV screen,
it can't bring in the cable channels - its
                a disc player —
A TV cannot play a disc if it is only a TV.
                I can't make it take a disc - no slot - no
                parts to do it.

They are both electronics, they both have
plugs, they both go into the wall for power
but they have different functions. Can I
play a disc on the hair dryer for my hair —
it has a plug — how about if I sit before an
electric alarm clock — do you think at some
point it will play some TV cable shows —
it has a sort of screen.

We were created with a purpose — with
talents that the Creator gave to us — I am
not an engineer, I depend on someone to help
me — they can help me or use their talents in
selfish ways that could be controlling — I can
do God's will realizing I am serving God using
                the talents God gave me.

The creature can sing because it is a
gift from God — I can write my own program
for my life, but every time someone does that
it is like taking the hair dryer and waiting for
it to play cable TV and if I am a
                television I should play the
best I can for the honor and glory of God.

We can see actors who lead people to
untruths and sin, but they want money
perhaps, fame for themselves — they want
what they want, but they can be so attractive,
so talented acting — everyone, they think,
admires them, loves them, wants to follow
them — they may want to do many things that are
on the camera against God's will — they have
many people, young people who follow them
and they may like this power for their
admiration for their honor and glory.

Does it make them happy — would it be
better to act to promote God's Kingdom —
act to help make the world one obeying the
commandments of God rather than leading
                people off.

                    We have a will.

Those in heaven are one — living in one
plan — the plan of the Father —

We can watch children — some are just
willful — they will do everything to be in
charge and get their way — they can learn to
criticize, judge at an early age —

They can be taught by parents about
obedience — two year olds are learning
about obedience - they need to learn —

Some who have suffered in childhood,
or marriages may try to control, manipulate
to be in command — because of wanting
everything their way - once they left
                home NOBODY TOLD THEM WHAT
TO DO and NOBODY EVER WOULD!!
INCLUDING GOD and HIS PLAN —

A willful person may try to do their
own will — life long and be miserable for
they listen to the devil's lies for their life
and follow him instead of discerning and
doing God's will. Then they are like the
square peg in the round hole —
everybody around them suffers — those
who never have their talents and those
who have to put up with their willfulness.

I don't know much about bugs, but
when we were kids someone may capture
one and they would jump in the jar trying
                to get out.

We can do that with ourselves when we
don't really follow God's plan for us —
We can be like a jumping bug in a jar —
A square peg in a round hole ——

God has a purpose for our lives —
                God created us uniquely
God intended for us to help build the
                    Kingdom

                God, God, God —
He is the One who keeps us breathing —
                He created us
Why do we think we shouldn't be
                    ever mindful of God
I see the sky before me — today in Cincinnati
clouds cover the once beautiful blue
                sky —
birds still fly around — the right way —
making noises like the sea gulls
                    of Florida —
Some birds are in the trees "tweeting"

Everything is really green here and so beautiful
and the trees have all come out from
                    a long winter's sleep

Flowers are so beautiful here after Mother's
Day because we haven't seen the beautiful
begonias and pots of flowers outside
since last year — so they are so beautiful
against all the green — which was
once barren or old brown yellow
                    fields —

It will probably rain again and then the green
                    gets even greener —
                    you know "April showers bring
                    May flowers"

                Nature obeys God's laws —
                    the trees grow —
                    the birds fly
                    fish swim —

Creatures are given a free will —
                They can curse the Creator
They can hurt others through jealousy,
                    pride, anger

                We have a free will.

Read the whole Chapter John 17

John 17: 21-23

May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
   and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
   you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
as you have loved me.

Unity is loving in peace according to God's will

                Satan tells lies
Tries to get people to do his work.
                He uses fallacious reasoning.

                Satan uses control and manipulation.

Where the law is clear he gives fallacious
                    reasoning and the person reasons
in my case it's different — disobeying
                    the commands, rules authority —
a person can argue it's okay to have
an affair, it's my partner's fault for
                    not loving me (they rationalize).

The bottom line is they always had an excuse —
always argued and did their own will
                    and justified their actions making
right —> wrong and wrong —> right.

The bottom line is God works in structure —

The purpose of the Shepherds of Christ is to help unite
the world and the Church in consecration
to the 2 Hearts — through the sacraments,
love, doing God's will in love

A person who is really willful — will fight
authority trying to be dominant and lose
friends, jobs because they only see through
                    their tainted dysfunctional ways.

                    Cain slew his brother.
                    Joseph's brothers were wrong.

God wants us to walk hand-in-hand working
with each other in love to do good to
                    help promote God's Kingdom.

I used to teach a class for Fr. Carter and I would
go in and use the scripture how God
                    first loved us.

Then I would ask them what they wanted in
                    a significant other.
                    Think — you don't want a liar
                    You want someone truthful
Fr. Pasquini wrote a book of prayers
                        Authenticity
We want someone who says what
                        they mean —

                    In the scripture it says
"Let your yes be yes and your no
                            be no"

Nothing can hurt us sometimes, it seems to
                    us, when someone betrays us
                    especially in a marriage, but
                    betrays from childhood, dysfunction
can be deeply covered up in wounds
                    inside of us.

But parents were children once and if they
                    are still selfish and argumentative
that can be what they think is normal
so they pass it on generation after
                    generation.

When people do some things very hurtful
they may not even tell themselves they
did it, blaming the person they have already
                    hurt.

We should try to be authentic — Be like Jesus —
If we look at ourselves and can honestly say Jesus
wasn't like me, then I know I must change —
If I live in a family or community and
do not like every body I live with — I
have some work to do — leave or change
                your heart.

A man told me once he was not nice to live
with — one morning after several children
and lots of years of marriage she just
left and that was the end.

He said he became more bitter and finally
                lost all his friends.

Finally he ended up in a psychiatric
ward and found out he had to change
                himself.

We can be really unhappy, mean, uncaring,
miserable inside. One morning we won't
be better like St. Paul. We become worse and
worse — it is illogical to think we might change
like our dark cloud would just leave with
no effort from us or act of the will.

This man changed and is the most gentle
soul, but I am sure lots of people in lots
of ways tell us things that we do wrong and
we can try to fight them back thinking
it is their fault when we really need to
                change some things.

I sat a two year old — she wrote on
                herself with a pen — I said hey don't
write on yourself — she said "no" and
kept saying "no" — then she ran with
the pen and I didn't want to chase her —
                she could fall on it.
