A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb
the Bridegroom of the soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Messenger:     My dear people,

As we approach the feast of St. Ignatius

we ponder deeply The Spiritual Exercises

of St. Ignatius. I feel we live a mini-

retreat every day, striving with all our

heart to know God's will for us and

letting go of attachments. We thereby

live out the fruits of our formal

                        retreat.

We are always aware of our weaknesses

and see how satan uses inordinate attachments

to try to really hurt our spiritual life.

I want that place with Christ, that

union always in all I do. I strive to

live in the moment, to want all things

according to His will, not wanting more or

less than God wants us to have.

Living out our vocation in a particular

way of life helps us to attain our eternal

reward. If God has chosen a particular

vocation, a way He wish us to live our

                        life, religious, married, single,

lay person, whatever it is for us, why

would I not give myself fully to living

out that way of life. To be on the fence

when we believe God has chosen a way

of life we think we are to follow is

to invite lack of peace continually

It is like saying: "Oh God I give to you,

but Oh God not this, I want to serve God,

but I want my own will too — Oh God, not that,

you can have these little pieces, I will

wear the cloth and take the name of a

religious, but God as far as my heart —

it's mine to keep — I want the recognition,

God, but really not the heart felt

                        commitment."

When one is called to the religious life,

it is a very special honor, to be wed to

Christ as a religious in a special way,

why hold onto the world when God is

saying He wants you to serve this

way. That is not to say to give up private

time for prayer. This is always paramount.

The connection with God comes in that

period of time when one spends

private time alone with the Master.

Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima

Besides the messages associated with the major Fatima apparitions, there were other revelations given by Our Lady. Before Jacinta died, she told of other messages given her (during her illness) by Mary:

...Priests must be pure, very pure. They should not busy themselves with anything except what concerns the Church and souls. The disobedience of priests, to their superiors and to the Holy Father, is very displeasing to Our Lord...(19)

Messenger:     The will of the individual is always

                            involved. Some give themselves

                            physically, being in a religious

                            order, having the name, living

the life, wearing the attire, but

inside they really have their own

                            agenda.

Some may commit themselves so half-

                            heartedly their whole commitment

                            is always preparation for another

time, almost like going to school

                            to learn a trade.

Life is going on now — whether someone

is in school or someone feels they

are living in a vocation that they will

                            have for all their life.

Preparation for another thing still must be

seen as life going on presently.

                            Habitual living for another time

is to miss the precious moments of

                            today.

A car accident, a cancer may come

and rob the years we thought

we were living for and then we

lived our whole life not being

                            in the present moment, actually

not living life at all, being

somewhere else in our mind and

heart while life was going on.

The Ignatian Retreat for me and

the writings Jesus has given to me are

in preparation for how to live now.

Now I must live with myself and I

am always aware of my past, my

                        weaknesses, my strengths, why I

live — always with the goal to live

according to God's will, not to want

more or less of a thing — wanting

exactly what He wants for me.

My life is lived to serve the

Divine Master for His honor and

                        glory.

Mary is the disciple of Christ we must

                        follow.

                            I LOVE THIS CONSECRATION TO

MARY JESUS GAVE TO FR. CARTER

Act of consecration to
the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

Messenger:     Mary and Jesus are our model.

                        In the prayer it says

                            YOU FOLLOWED JESUS PERFECTLY.

YOU ARE HIS FIRST AND PERFECT

                            DISCIPLE.

TEACH ME TO IMITATE YOU IN

                        THE PUTTING ON OF CHRIST.

                    The Magnificat

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

Act of consecration to
the Sacred Heart of Jesus

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

Being Led By Jesus And Mary

One of the most difficult tasks in the spiritual life is to engage in the process of letting go. There is something in us which wants to remain in control. We must remember, however, that growth in the spiritual life means increased abandonment to God in Christ.

God has given us Mary as our spiritual mother to help us grow in abandonment. As we more and more entrust ourselves to the Immaculate Heart, Mary increasingly aids in leading us to closer union with the Heart of Christ—to an increased abandonment to Christ.

We have to have goals in the spiritual life. We have to schedule our spiritual exercises. We have to make plans for our ministry—for our services to others in the Lord. We must plan to try to make the best use of our time.

But we must do these things with the overall attitude of allowing Christ and Mary to guide us in the Spirit. We make plans with the understanding that Christian prudence asks this of us. We do not map things out in order to be in control in a way which goes against entrusting ourselves to Christ and Mary. When it becomes clear that Christ and our Mother want us to make changes in what we have planned, we must ask for the grace to be spiritually free—to once again abandon ourselves to Jesus and Mary and allow Them to lead us anew in the Holy Spirit.

Our consecration to Christ and Mary means that we always strive to entrust ourselves totally to Them. And as we grow in this spirit of entrustment, we grow in the realization of what it means to be led by Jesus and Mary in the Spirit. We also grow in the desire to be so led.

Messenger:     In the book of Fr. Carter's on the Spiritual Exercises

                            Francis Xavier McMenamy S.J. writes:

                   EIGHT-DAY RETREAT

Based on The Spiritual Exercise of St. Ignatius

                      by Francis Xavier McMenamy S.J.

edited by William J. Grace, S.J.

18. The Three Classes of Men

St. Ignatius assumes that the spiritual life, in as far as we live it, consists in finding God in all things, that is, in recognizing the holy will of God and in embracing the known will of God. Advancement in the supernatural life means therefore a fuller and more complete finding of God in the details of one's life. Now the Exercises are designed and so constructed as to assist one in finding God either in his vocation in life or in some detail of his life.

The Saint further assumes that what hinders the soul from finding God is some ill-regulated attachmenta "pondus," as he calls it, or dead weight which holds back the soul from embracing God's will, or even recognizing it. Hence what the Exercises aim at primarily is to remove this "pondus" or attachment. For if this impediment is put out of the way the sincere soul will surely find God; that is, it will recognize and embrace the will of God for the right ordering of its life. This purpose of the retreat is made clear from the very beginning. For just prior to the statement of the First Principle and Foundation we find the heading, "Spiritual Exercises to conquer oneself and regulate one's life, and to avoid coming to a determination through any inordinate affection."

All the exercises of the retreat which we have followed up to the present are directed toward the removal of attachments. To this end we have searched for incentives based on reason, on fear, and on love. Love of Christ, which is the more excellent way for a Christian, is also the normal way provided by Providence for overcoming disordered attachments to creatures and finding God in peace. Hence, after the few exercises which are given in the First Week, the Ignatian retreat consists for the most part in contemplation of Christ. This contemplation has as its purpose to engender in the heart of the exercitant an ardent personal love of our Lord. We seek that quality of love which insures courage and complete sincerity in setting aside impediments or attachments by the time when the election or choice is reached.

The meditation on The Kingdom of Christ enkindled love in our souls, and thereupon we made a generous offering of ourselves for the service of the King. Subsequent consideration of the mysteries of Christ's child-life has deepened our love and the generosity of our offering. In The Two Standards our Lord made plain what is His way of a perfect life for a son of God on earth. It is the way of the Holy Cross, of poverty, and of humiliation. Our response to the Master's plea was a deliberate and intensive petition that He might deign to take us with Him in His way of poverty and humiliation.

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

Messenger:     We want to do all things to please His

Divine Majesty, the way He wants.

As I spoke before the religious who

wears the garb, but in their

heart holds onto their own will

                            and their own program may

                            in effect, hurt the institution.

They say I am a Jesuit, a Franciscan,

a handmaid, a servant and yet

                            they carry that name, Jesuit

etc, priest etc and then they do

                            what they want.

This is what happened with the sex scandal

in the Church — they wore the title,

they wore the clothes and secretly

some may have used their title

to get favors which were sinful.

Then the Church has to pick up the

                            pieces for the individuals actions.

The leaders are to some extent held

                            accountable for those under

them, but can we really see what goes

on in the darkness when satan tempts

a soul and they give in and are

                            disloyal to the institution.

We cannot follow them around. The devil

is cunning, secretive, the master of

lies and deception. The devil tempts

those underneath to be disloyal, to

berate those in authority, to hurt

                            the institution, while wearing

the holy cloth of the religious

                            some did very bad actions.

I could not control my two year old children.

It is more difficult to control adults

                            giving into satan's lures, living

lives of lies, wanting to raise

above those in authority by doing

                            some sordid unloyal deed.

                   The three classes of men

                            HOW PURE IS THE DESIRE

                                OF THE HEART?

                            ANYONE COULD GIVE INTO

                                WILLFULNESS ———

                                IT TAKES NO EFFORT

                                JUST DO YOUR OWN WILL

                                AGAINST WHAT YOU KNOW

                                GOD WANTS.

                            THE DISCIPLINE IS IN

                                FOLLOWING THE RULE —

                                STRIVING TO DO GOD'S WILL

EVEN WHEN IT IS DIFFICULT —

HOW SINCERE IS THE HEART TO

                                SERVE —

                        THE WORLD PREACHES —

and they show a beautiful, young,

                            tanned person, smiling, water

                            splashing on their face, against

a blue sky with leaves and

                            flowers somewhere by the side

                            of the picture —a beautiful

                            person, good looking body

the world shows the person in

charge doing their own thing —

                            sex outside of marriage —

                            scanty clothes —

                            cars —

                            mansions —

marriages and vacationing on the Rivera

                            LIGHT in the sky —

darkness under the bed sheets —

Being in control of yourself —

                            means surrendering our lives to

                                God —

that gets the rewards hereafter —

                                the heavenly rewards —

                            here a beautiful sexy lady

                                against a blue sky may

                                get an affair outside of

                                marriage —

that is not good for our soul

                                and our eternal life —

Whatever the attachment that keeps us

stuck that is what we have to

                            let go of —

                        It can be alcohol, willfulness,

                            food, work, whatever we

                            use to numb ourselves when

we are hurting if we use it

to excess and that thing can drive

                            us away from God.

The person wanting to be united to

God must have Him as their

goal — He is the "candy" of

our thoughts, He is the one

we live for — to honor and

                            serve Him.

What is the desire of the heart —

is it a pure desire to serve God?

is it to make ourselves more popular

                                with men?

is it to finally get the affection

of men so we are recognized

                                as okay, a leader, popular,

                                talented, thin, good looking,

                                rich —

God calls men to be priests to serve the

                            people — are our allurement

                            making ourselves above others,

                            making ourselves look good

                            etc.

                        Many men don't want women

                            above them. This has been

drilled into many men's minds so

                            the thought of abandoning oneself

to Our Lady becomes hard for

                            many men —

Yet Christ, the Almighty God came

in the womb of the Virgin

Mary and was born a baby

                            in her arms.

God was dependent on a human

                            creature, Mary the spotless

                            virgin, for His food and

changing — His care as an infant —

God Jesus Christ, grew up a

little baby in Mary's arms —

Hear the words of Jesus under the cross —

and hear the words as Fr. Carter speaks

in the front of his book in the Preface

                           Mother at Our Side

Excerpt from Mother at Our Side,
by Father Edward J. Carter, S.J.

Preface

It was the hour of Jesus' agony. He hung on a cross, on a hill called Calvary. He had already suffered excruciating pain. He had been brutally scourged—can we comprehend what this did to Jesus? He had been crowned with thorns. He had carried the heavy cross and then was mercilessly nailed to it. After all this, the excruciating suffering continued as the weight of His body pulled downward against the nail-inflicted wounds of His hands and feet. Besides the intense physical suffering, there was the spiritual anguish which pierced Jesus' Heart.

Amidst this unfathomable suffering, Jesus spoke to Mary and John as they stood at the foot of the cross: Woman, behold, your son. Then He said to the disciple, Behold, your mother. (Jn. 19: 26-7).

John represented all of us. In giving Mary to him as spiritual mother, Jesus was also giving Mary to all of us as our spiritual mother.

In these our times, the spiritual motherhood of Mary is being manifested in an extraordinary fashion. There have been alleged apparitions of Mary in many parts of the world. Many seem to bear the marks of authenticity. A small number of these apparition sites have already received official Church approval. Regarding the others, we await the Church's final judgment and express our willingness to submit to her ultimate decision.

Why such an extraordinary proliferation of Marian apparitions and messages? Because we live in extraordinary times. Mary is telling us that the Church and the world are experiencing a time of great crisis brought about by an unprecedented wave of sin which has been sweeping across the face of the earth.

Through Mary, God is using extraordinary means to call us to conversion. Mary tells us that her Immaculate Heart is leading the Church and the world along the way of conversion as she leads us in an extraordinary fashion to Jesus, the Light of the world. She is beseeching us in a special way to give our assistance to help fulfill the mission God has entrusted to her.

In writing this book on Mary's role in the Christian life, I have drawn upon the teaching of Scripture and upon Church documents. I have used messages Mary has given at apparition sites, as well as the locutions or messages allegedly given to certain of her chosen ones over and above those associated with her apparitions. I have also used the thoughts of other theologians. Minor portions of this book have been drawn from some of my previously published books.

Using all of the above sources—and others not listed—I have tried to delineate Mary's role as spiritual Mother to us. In doing so, I have also tried to give an overview of the spiritual life. My prayerful hope is that the book will help the reader grow in appreciation of Mary's motherhood regarding us. Indeed, we go to the Father through Christ in the Holy Spirit, with Mary as Mother at our side.

Mother At Our Side

Standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple there whom He loved, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." (Jn. 19:25-27).

"In an utterly singular way she cooperated by her obedience, faith, hope, and burning charity in the Savior's work of restoring supernatural life to souls. For this reason she is a mother to us in the order of grace." (Vatican II).2

Mary is the Mother of Jesus. She is also our Mother. The above words of Scripture and of the Second Vatican Council attest to this.

Jesus has given us Mary as our spiritual mother. As He hung upon the cross, Jesus told John to look upon Mary as his mother, this John who represents all of us. In His moment of deepest anguish and suffering, Jesus was thinking of us. As the indescribable physical pain racked His body from head to toe, as the unfathomable spiritual anguish penetrated to the depths of His Heart, Jesus was thinking of us. If we allow this scene to penetrate into our hearts, if we take the time to contemplate the depth of Jesus' and Mary's love for us as Their Hearts were pierced with grief, we are truly overwhelmed with the magnificent greatness and tenderness of the scene. Jesus was proclaiming Mary to be Mother of the Redemption. He was telling us that Mary is Mother to all peoples.

The fact that Mary is our mother, the fact that she has such a powerful role to play in our salvation in no way detracts from the mediatorship of Christ. Vatican II states:

"We have but one Mediator, as we know from the words of the Apostle: "For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, himself man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself as ransom for all." (1 Tim. 2:5-6). The maternal duty of Mary toward men in no way obscures or diminishes this unique mediation of Christ, but rather shows its power. For all the saving influences of the Blessed Virgin on men originate, not from some inner necessity, but from the divine pleasure. They flow forth from the superabundance of the merits of Christ, rest on His mediation, depend entirely on it, and draw all their power from it. In no way do they impede the immediate union of the faithful with Christ. Rather they foster this union."3

In saying that Mary is our spiritual mother, we are saying that Mary is the mother of our Christ-life. What is this life? Can we define it?

At Baptism the Persons of the Trinity communicate so intimately to us that, as a result, they leave their imprint or image upon us. This Trinitarian image is our life of sanctifying grace. This life of grace is a created participation in God's life, and since this gift of grace is mediated by Christ in His humanity, this Trinitarian image also has a Christic aspect. Christ as man has shown us how to live a God-like existence. He has shown us how to live the life of grace. This life of grace we possess allows us to enjoy the special presence of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Truly, the divine Persons dwell within us.

Whether we refer to this life as the Christ-life, the life of grace, life in the Holy Spirit, or by other names, we are referring to one and the same reality. This reality, again, is the Christic, Trinitarian image given us through the Trinitarian communication.

St. Paul speaks of our life of grace in terms of our being baptized into the death and resurrection of Jesus (Rom. 6:1-11). Again, Jesus mediates our life of grace. He has shown us how to live a Christ-like existence. Since Jesus' paschal mystery of death-resurrection sums up His own human existence, so it sums up our own. This is what St. Paul is telling us. Paul tells us that we live our life of Baptism, our life of grace, by continually dying and rising with Jesus—rising to a greater share in Christ's resurrection. Indeed, we live resurrection now and hereafter. Living death-resurrection involves all of our Christian activities. While not giving an all-inclusive list, we do include the following: the reading of Scripture, prayer, the performance of daily duties, the doing of penance, making sacrifices, our jobs, periods of rest and relaxation, sharing meals with loved ones, reception of the sacraments, and, especially, participation in the Eucharist which is both sacrifice and sacrament.

This is our glorious existence made possible by God's great love for us and a major truth of this glorious existence is the fact that Jesus has given us Mary as our spiritual mother. Mary is the Mother of our Christ-life. In her loving, maternal role, she cooperates with the Holy Spirit in forming Christ in us. Pope John Paul II tells us:

"The Church knows and teaches that all the saving influences of the Blessed Virgin on mankind originate from the divine pleasure. . .This saving influence is sustained by the Holy Spirit, Who, just as He overshadowed the Virgin Mary when He began in her the divine motherhood, in a similar way constantly sustains her solicitude for the brothers and sisters of her Son.''4

Mary our mother is ever with us, guiding us, teaching us, caring for us, protecting us, loving us. With her maternal assistance we go to the Father through and with Christ in the Holy Spirit.

Mary nourishes our growth in Christ with a very tender and specialized love for each of us. She regards each of us as a precious, unique individual. John Paul II again speaks to us:

"Of the essence of motherhood is the fact that it concerns the person. Motherhood always establishes a unique and unrepeatable relationship between two people: between mother and child and between child and mother. Even when the same woman is the mother of many children, her personal relationship with each one of them is of the very essence of motherhood. For each child is generated in a unique and unrepeatable way, and this is true both for the mother and for the child."4

The Holy Father then applies these ideas to Mary and us:

"It can be said that motherhood in the order of grace preserves the analogy with what in the order of nature characterizes the union between mother and child. In the light of this fact it becomes easier to understand why in Christ's testament on Golgotha, His Mother's new motherhood is expressed in the singular, in reference to one man. Behold, your son."5

This is the awesome and consoling truth—you and I are very precious to Mary. She loves us much more than we can ever fathom. It is our great privilege and responsibility to love her in return. She asks for this love, she asks for our trust. As we give our love and trust to our mother, she wants us to come to her at all times and in all circumstances.

Are we sorrowful, anxious, troubled? Let us go to Mary our mother and ask her to console us. Let us ask her for the grace to handle our sorrow, our anxieties, our troubles properly—according to God's will. In this way our suffering will bring us closer to Christ as it simultaneously allows us to contribute to the ongoing Christianization of the world.

Are we joyful, happy, basking in the glow of a goal successfully accomplished? Let us go to Mary and ask her to help us handle our joy, our happiness, our success as God intends. Let us petition her not to allow our joy to make us forgetful of God, our God Who is the source of all true joy, success, and happiness.

Are we finding it particularly difficult to follow Christ in the here-and-now? In child-like trust we can approach our mother. Let us ask her for the grace to realize that the following of Christ is not always easy—that at times being a follower of Christ challenges our courage in a special way. We can also ask Mary to help us realize that even at such difficult times, Christ's grace makes our burden relatively light. Jesus has told us:

Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
(Mt.11:28-30).

Are we finding it is particularly easy to follow Christ in the here-and-now? Let us go to Mary and ask her for the grace to remain humble. Let us beseech Mary to keep us from being inflated with pride, and ask her to help us realize that without Jesus we can do nothing.

Mary, then, asks for our complete trust. She wants us always to seek shelter under her maternal mantle. She invites us to come to her in all circumstances—whether it be in joy or sorrow, success or failure, laughter or tears. Mary wants us to share in her maternal wisdom so that we may understand how to use our various experiences to come closer to God in Christ. Sharing our lives with Mary in this fashion, and on a consistent basis, requires that we love her, that we trust her, that we surrender ourselves to her maternal love.

Help us, Mother Mary, to probe ever more deeply into the depths of your love for us. Help us to realize more and more that to be loved by you is to experience a sweetness, a warmth, a tenderness, a serenity, a security, which makes us cry out, "O Mother, how good and loving you are!"

Messenger:     IN SUMMARY THUS FAR

So what does this mean for us?

We live to do God's will.

We live to honor and serve God

                                    for His glory.

We want to let go of ill-regulated attachments.

(In the trials do we go to Christ or some
                                        attachment alcohol, sex, food, etc)

                                Is serving God our end?

Is our goal loving God more deeply?

Are we surrendering our life to God?

Are we dependent on Him for help?

What about the quality of love?

Are we living to serve the King?

Are we living by the Standard of Christ?

His standard is the way a perfect

son would serve God on this earth.

There is the man who puts off being about his

work for gaining his eternal reward. He

forever procrastinates. He is attached to

many things. He may sin and stay

attached to things that hurt his spiritual life.

He may be attached to money, honor, his

reputation, position at work, in religious

                            life, etc.

He may be attached to perfection or other-things

like this that act not as a good thing, but

actually block his spiritual growth —

                            order etc.

The second class may seek God but do not commit

whole heartedly, they straddle the fence,

they are physically there, they take the

name, they go through the motions, but

in religious life they are disloyal,

                            complain about superiors, participate

with a frown half-heartedly, cause problems

                            actually blocking work because of

feelings of victimization, anger, hurt feelings —

things they make up that aren't true to

                            carry out destructive relationship patterns

                            from their own past life.

They may be cooperative sometimes and very

                            uncooperative seeking recognition for work

and doing it to get recognized, loved, patted

on the back, not doing work for the service

of God and promoting His Kingdom, but

for a selfish motive of greater recognition

                            for themselves here below.

They scoff at obedience, sometimes act

like a mule when asked to perform a simple

task and may act like little children wanting

                        to be stroked.

They spend a lot of time thinking about

how people have treated them rather than

                        doing much work.

Jesus speaks:     The Virgin Mary building and the Movement

exists to help bring about the Reign of My

Sacred Heart and triumph of My Mother's Heart.

Volunteers are needed to come and work for this

purpose. No one should use My movement as a

dumping ground for airing their sordid bad feelings

I want you to serve Me and see the honor it is

                        I have called you.

                            MY MOTHER APPEARS HERE

                            TO REACH THE WORLD

                            WITH THESE WRITINGS.

The same people come day after day and

                            complain, right under Mary's image

                            and in the building.

My building is for this purpose to

                            — tell the world about My writings and

                                messages

                            — to teach people to pray

                            — to tell them about this way of life

                                Shepherds of Christ.

You can see the same people that come in from the

world and complain all the time — year after

                            year —

you can see the same people with their

                            own agenda

                    The Third Class of Men

My Apostles live to serve Me.

My Apostles live to promote My Kingdom.

Satan sends a negative one to make you

                            feel down.

My Apostles focus on their mission.

My Apostles gaze on Mary's image and

                            are honored at the calling.

My Apostles realize that those who come

have come a long way to receive

                            a positive message.

My Apostles realize I have given the

image to give the people a story

                            of hope, of love.

The devil keeps people focused on themselves

                            to block My work.

I give the Shepherds of Christ Movement My building

of the Two Hearts to spread a

positive message of love and hope —

to spread the messages I give here.

The Cross Leads to Life

Renunciation is another form of dying with Jesus, which, over the years, has been given much attention in the teaching of the spiritual masters. Indeed, the New Testament itself attests to the undeniable role that renunciation plays in the Christian life. The gentle St. Luke, for example, teaches Jesus' message of renunciation—a message which Jesus Himself lived. Renunciation was obviously not the only aspect of Christ's life, but it was an undeniable one. Christians, because they are followers of Christ, must also include renunciation in their lives regardless of their individual vocations. Again, it is well to remind ourselves that we embrace renunciation for the sake of life. This was the purpose of renunciation in Jesus' life, and it must have the same purpose in ours.

Acts of renunciation are life-promoting regarding ourselves and others. Let us always remember what Our Lady of Fatima has said: Pray, pray, a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because they have no one to make sacrifices and pray for them.24 And the angel said to the Fatima visionaries: Make everything you do a sacrifice, and offer it as an act of reparation for the sins by which God is offended, and as a petition for the conversion of sinners.25 All our good actions, including the enjoyable and pleasant ones, can be offered as sacrifices. In the stricter sense, our sacrifices include those actions which involve doing that which is difficult or which involves acts of renunciation.

The Cross Leads to Life

. . .and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, "Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted (and you yourself a sword will pierce) so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed." (Lk. 2:35).

Our incorporation into the mystery of Christ at baptism, and our growth in this life, is centered in the pattern of death-resurrection: Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life. (Rom. 6:3-4).

The theme of death-resurrection is at the heart of salvation history. It is a recurrent theme in the Old Testament and in the New Testament.

The Jewish people, under the leadership of Moses, experienced death-resurrection as they were formed into the people of the covenant—Yahweh's people. In the great Exodus event, they escaped Egyptian slavery, went on to Mt. Sinai where the covenant was ratified, and then progressed to the Promised Land. As members of the Mosaic covenant, the Jews experienced a religious transition; they passed over to a higher level of religious existence—to a more intimate union with God.

This religious transition contained death-resurrection. For the Jews to become people of the covenant, to remain so, and to grow in the life of the covenant, it was necessary that they undergo a mystical or spiritual death. In short, they had to be willing to pay a price. They had to be willing to bear with that which was difficult in covenant life. This mystical death, however, had a very positive purpose; it was directed at life in the covenant and at growth in that life. This spiritual death, in other words, was for the purpose of resurrection.

Christ perfectly fulfilled the Old Testament theme of death-resurrection. In doing so, He was experiencing a religious transition. He was passing over—gradually, at first, and then definitively in His death—to a new kind of existence, to the life of resurrection. He achieved this life not only for Himself, but for us also. To achieve this new life of resurrection, Jesus was willing to pay the price. He was willing to suffer, even unto death. That it had to be this way—that the only way Jesus could have achieved resurrection was through suffering and death—was pointed out by Jesus Himself to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus: And he said to them, "Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" (Lk. 24:25-26).

Christ has structured the Christian life by the way He lived, died, and rose from the dead. It is obvious, then, that the pattern of death-resurrection must be at the heart of the Church's life. Mary, as Mother of the Church and our mother, is in a most advantageous position to show us our own individual roads to Calvary and support us as we carry the cross, each of us on our own as well as the Church as a whole. She already traveled that road in perfect acceptance of the death-resurrection struggle as she was always most closely united with the work of her Son. Individually and collectively, we are meant to continually die in Christ so that we may continually rise in Christ. We thus pass over in a process of continued religious transition to a greater participation in Jesus' resurrection. It is true that our participation in Christ's resurrection will reach its culmination only in eternity. Nevertheless, we begin the life of resurrection here upon this earth, in the here-and-now of human life, in the midst of joy and pain, in the experience of success and failure, in the sweat of our brow, in the enjoyment of God's gifts.

We cannot maintain the life of resurrection or grow in it without a willingness to suffer. This does not mean that we need to feel overwhelmed and heavily burdened by the suffering in our lives. The greater portion of suffering for most of us seems to be an accumulation of ordinary hardships and pains. At times, more penetrating suffering—even suffering of agonizing proportions—can enter our life. Whether the sufferings are either of the more ordinary variety or the rare and extreme type, Christians must convince themselves that to properly relate to the cross is to grow in resurrection.

The great tragedy regarding human suffering is not that there is so much of it, but that apparently so much of it is wasted. Apparently many do not relate to suffering properly—according to God's will. Consequently, they fail to use suffering as a means to growth. Again, our mother's fiat can be a vivid reminder to persevere through even our most difficult trials.

As the opening Scripture passage tells us, Our Lady was no stranger to suffering. As we well know, her life of suffering culminated in her extreme agony beneath the cross. Who can fathom the depth of her grief as she watched her innocent Son suffer the excruciating pain and death of crucifixion? In the church of San Domingo in Puebla, Mexico, there is one of the most striking representations of Mary that I have ever seen. Near the front of the church, and to the right as one faces the altar, there is a figure of our Blessed Mother seated in a chair. She is dressed in a black robe with gold trim. Atop her white veil is a black lace veil of mourning. On her lap is Christ's crown of thorns. Mary gazes down at this crown which had been so cruelly and derisively placed upon Jesus. The expression on Mary's face is one of the most moving I have seen. It is a combination of grief, dignity, and beauty. It is indeed easy to shed tears as one beholds this figure of Mary. It tells us so much about Mary. It tells us that she not only is the Mother of Joy, but also the Mother of Sorrows.

Yes, our dearest Mother Mary knows what it is like to suffer. She knows so well the purpose of suffering in God's plan. By asking her to obtain for us the grace to grow in wisdom, we can increasingly understand the role of suffering in our own lives. Asking her for the grace not to waste suffering, we can learn to use it as a means of growth for ourselves and others.

One of the most traditional forms of the experience of the cross which spiritual masters have always discussed is self-discipline or asceticism. People in all walks of life require self-discipline. The athlete must subject himself or herself to rigorous training; the musician must endure long hours of practice; the doctor must be willing to order his or her life to the vigorous demands of the medical profession.

The Christian life, too, has its own form of discipline, and it is necessary for the greater assimilation of our total being to Christ. Christian self-discipline, or asceticism, helps us grow in the Christ-life. It extends to all aspects of the person—intellect, will, imagination, memory, sight, hearing, taste, touch, and so forth.

Mother Of Our Christian Virtues

Humility

My soul proclaims the greatness of
                the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
For he has looked upon his handmaid's
                lowliness;
behold, from now on will all ages
                call me blessed.
The Mighty One has done great things
                for me,
          and holy is his name.
(Lk. 1:46-50).

The above passage is a portion of Mary's "Magnificat." One of its lessons is that of humility. In her song of praise Mary expresses perfect humility. She realized that without God she was nothing, but that, because of the divine largess, God had made her great.

Humility is the realization of the truth that I am a creature of God. Humility is also the implementation of this truth in daily living. Humility is not a process of self-depreciation, or of telling myself that I am no good, that I have very little to contribute. Humility moves me to look at myself as I actually am. It moves me to look at both my good and bad points, and, very importantly, to follow up with appropriate attitudes and actions. (Regarding Mary's humility, there was, of course, only the need to recognize her greatness as coming forth from God, since she was completely sinless.)

Since humility is based on truth, it never demands that I deny my particular gifts, my unique talents. Certainly Mary did not do this. If I do not properly recognize my gifts, I will not thank God properly, nor will I be in the most advantageous position for the proper use and development of my talents. I should, then, recognize the good in myself, while simultaneously realizing the source of all good—God Himself.

Humility also enables me to look realistically upon life in the human condition. Being humble means I realize that precisely because I am human, I will experience pain. Precisely because I am exposed to the human condition not only in its pleasant aspects, but also in its dimension of sin, suffering, and anguish, I will suffer—and sometimes because of the wrongdoings of others. Humility allows me to accept this without bitterness, and allows me to react properly.

Humility also assists me in realizing and implementing the truth that I am a social creature—one intended by God to help my neighbor, and, in turn, one intended to be helped by others. It also assists me in accepting my fundamental self. God has created me with certain basic talents, with a certain fundamental temperament. Humility bids me to accept this God-intended self, while always striving to develop, improve, mature.

Humility likewise assists me in accepting my present life situation in so far as I can determine this is God's here-and-now design for me. If I am not properly humble, I can quietly and subtly rebel regarding the present. How unlike Mary, who did not disdain the simple and the ordinary, but rather, found her fulfillment in them as she saw the here-and-now opportunities to say "yes" to God.

We can easily overlook the various applications of humility, so we need to make the special effort to become more aware of humility's role in Christian living. Scripture points out the necessity of doing this:

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (Jas. 4:6).

Their purpose is to serve God —

not an ulterior motive of some

                            reward for themselves.

I serve you my God because I love

you, I do the difficult tasks

with the same love as those

                            that are more pleasurable.

I see that God has called me to sainthood and

in living this way, I will live more

deeply in His love for all eternity.

Jesus speaks: Who is the one who does it all for themselves —

they serve at Church for their own

                            honor and glory —

                            they serve and complain holler,

act hateful, yet wear a habit —

                                one of My religious,

I despise the pretense of one that

ponders evil in their heart, yet

wears My cloth and makes a

                                mockery of My orders.

My religious have many children to

serve and by their example to

                            lead others to Me.

                        Pray for My religious.

Be Apostles of My Eucharistic Heart.

                        I am God —

How do you serve Me —

It hurts My Heart those who do My

special work for their own honor

                            and glory, stepping on others

to get ahead like the people in

                            the "rat-race" of the world.

                        They bring those worldly-selfish-ways

                            into My Church.

I want those who serve Me in religious

life to be holy, surrendering and loving.

You make a mockery of religious life —

I am love and yet you call yourself

                            a religious and act hateful.

What is the Standard of Christ?

                        Mary is your model.

                        Say this consecration

Excerpt from Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!"

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.

Picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I Want My Priests to Come Back

January 17, 1994 3:40 a.m.

Jesus:  You know I am He Who lifts you up. In one second I can turn your feelings around and lift you up. Constantly pray to Me. You need Me through these times. Remember, I truly died for you on the cross. Remember, little one, I have chosen you to write to Me. Do you think I will ever abandon you? I am a God who truly loves His people. I love you with such ardent love. You must never doubt.

Look into My face and see My gentleness. I am the kindest of all hearts. I am He who knows how to love with such love. Become totally lost in My arms.

Do you think Satan will not taunt you? Put him behind you. You are being guarded by God and His heavenly court. Walk in My ways and the angels walk with you on your path. You are escorted on your way and you are never alone. You are guarded as a precious treasure that is being transported to another place.

You need to put all your cares in My hands. You are developing true trust when you let go and let Me take over. Keep trusting and silence the ugly prompting of Satan who wants you to worry about useless things. Quit worrying and pray and play with your children. I am telling you there is so much peace and grace gained by private prayer with them. I will tend to all the details of your life. Do not worry for one moment. Put your life in My hands. I am here, little one. Read this message and all of them over and over again.

You need to go to the Blue Book for your answers. Your answers are found there. I never leave your side. God is guarding you. Just continue to have a union with Me all through the day. All the prayer time alone with Me in one day is not enough. I want you in constant prayer.

Turn to Me and My Blue Book. This will help many priests to come back and sit before Me in private union with Me. When priests come back to the tabernacle, the flock will begin to be led back to His altar. Priests need to read these letters. They are the preachers. If they do not value their own relationship with Jesus, if they are being led away from Me with busyness, they will not preach the intimate love of Jesus. They are so busy, but it is like throwing out the baby with the bath water. I am the center and their relationship with Me is utmost.

The priests need these messages. They need to have an intimate, close union with Me. They should be preaching "time in front of the tabernacle." They should be preaching My intense love for My people and how I have so much to give. Some sermons are so complicated--yet nothing about union with Me in the Eucharist and in front of the tabernacle.

I want My priests to come back and pray before My tabernacle. I want them to read these messages and make Jesus the Center of their lives. When they are led back to Jesus, they will lead the flock home. Priests need adoration every day for at least an hour. I don't care how busy they are. None of it matters if they are not spending time in private prayer alone with Me. They need to come and get their supplies. They need to quit thinking they are doing it and turn back to turning their lives totally over to Me, to totally letting their burdens and busy lives off at the foot of My cross and letting Me lead the way.

There is not one priest who has so much to do that he cannot do private adoration daily. When the priest comes back to the power in the Eucharist and the tabernacle, the congregation will turn to God for their troubled hearts. Satan has led priests away from Jesus. They are so busy they cannot do all their work, but this must all take second place to praying silently before God and reading His words. These letters will help many priests to come back and be intimate with Jesus.

All the rituals, all the upkeep of the churches, all the little details, and the King of Glory sits alone! You have thrown out the baby with the bath water. You are missing the boat.

I want the priests to read this message. Where is the reverence after Communion and who has even heard it mentioned in the church? Private union with Jesus! What an honor! I have all you need. Come to Me and I will give you rest. I am all powerful. I have all the power. I am hyper--vigilant over your lives. I guard you. Quit trying to do it yourselves. Become selfless and let Me possess your souls.

Have the priests spread these messages. Read them in church. I want adoration of the Eucharist back. I want people to know I am God and I am coming to them in Holy Communion. I want the Blessed Sacrament exposed. I want My churches open. Union with Jesus, the love of Jesus, trust, faith, love for one another, love of God--I want all of these preached from the pulpit!

I am the Alpha and the Omega. I want My people to be led back to the center, which is Jesus. Pray for your priests. They are under attack. If Satan can wreck the family, the priests, the children, he has it made.

You are under attack, My beloved priests, and you, in your busyness, are being led away from your union with Jesus. Bring yourselves back to Me and let Me give you My love. I am indeed the bridegroom of your souls. I wait for My beloved ones at the altar. I long for private union with all My beloved ones.

Come to Me, all who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Come and be lifted up to heights you never dreamed possible. I am God. Put your lives in My hands. Let Me run your life. Quit running amok. You have lost your way and are running down the wrong road. Bring your lives back to Jesus in the tabernacle.

The world is getting farther from God every minute. Read the messages at prayer meetings. Spread them by word of mouth. The time you waste is valuable. These words are not meant to be saved. Spread them here by any means possible. I want them out, I tell you! If someone wants to read some messages, give them to them and let them read them at prayer meetings. There is no secret here. They are from Me and I want them out. I want you to speak. A lot of your discontent is in sitting around with all these messages and not spreading them. Tell your friends to speak. Speak My words here. You don't have to mention the source. Spread the messages. You are not what is important. The messages are. You will be exposed. Don't worry who knows, but don't spread your own story. Spread the messages. Like ripples on a pond, the love of God will be spread throughout the land. I have so much to give to My hurting ones. I am your God. I died for you out of deepest love. I have come in these messages to lead you back home.

Quit worrying of details. I am He Who runs the show. Pray for guidance every day. Spend one hour in front of the tabernacle. You cannot do in a million years what I can do in one moment. Quit relying on yourselves. You are only pushing buttons. When you are fixed in Me, the right door opens. When you go it alone, you have a hard road to walk. One hour in private adoration. Be silent or read the Blue Book. Your life will become uplifted by My teaching and you will sail a blue sky.

Spend time in silence and some in reading My words in front of Me. I am talking to you in these letters. What power, to read them in front of the tabernacle! You can't go it alone. You need My help. You need your supplies. But you must come and get them! You are following your tail around if you do it alone. I am He Who can do all this. When you realize My power in adoration, your lives will change. As long as you are too busy you will have a hard time. The soul craves this union with Me.

Lead the priests back to adoration and the people will follow. Our leaders have become too busy for adoration. This is the key, the key to unlock the doors to the world's problems. It is found in front of the tabernacle, at daily Mass and Communion. Do the priests ever preach any of this? You have forgotten your center, Jesus, in the Eucharist! All the power is found in Jesus. You have all that you need and you walk about and decorate My churches and clean every speck of dust and repair My pews and carpet My house and fix My organs but you walk about and miss the King of Glory who sits there all alone! Spread the messages on the tabernacle. I want them out!

I only want to operate as You do, dwelling in me.

Jesus speaks: Here is a message I gave December 27, 1993.

Picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Bridegroom Awaits

December 27, 1993 - 4:00a.m.

Jesus speaks:  Dear child, the Son of Man waits and you sleep in the night. I wait for you and you sleep. You know I am waiting and you are dead in your bed. Awake, My little one, when I call. You must not give in to the desires of the body. I care for your needs. Your strength comes from Me. Jump from your bed, sound the trumpet and arise, for your Savior comes in the night to bring you a message for all His children. Ready yourself, for I do not like to wait. Get up and come, child. I am God.

I am He Who made the world, He Who makes the sun shine and the baby in the womb! You make Me wait while you sleep. Rise and run, for the Lord is at hand. God awaits you and beckons you to be attentive to your calling. Sound the trumpet! Arise in the night. I am He Who comes to you. You must harken to the call. Come pronto to My request and do not tarry. I wait and I wait and I eagerly want to talk to you.

I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. Oh, child, I want these messages to reach the ends of this earth. I deliver each with such love. Will you deliver My messages to all My loved ones? They eagerly need to hear My words of love. They need to know how I feel about each one of them. They need to know that I am God. I love each child uniquely and My love is the love of God. What can you get on this earth that can compare to the love of God? You have a message declaring My love for each of My children. They are My love letters to them. Please see that they receive this letter. This is your top priority. It is a love letter to My beloved ones.

I am your Savior. I am not a myth. I am alive and I come to you. I wait in the tabernacle every day as a prisoner. Waiting and waiting in the tabernacle and who comes to be with Me? I await you, My children, to come and realize that God is in the tabernacle. I am Jesus, the Son of God, and I wait for you every day. Come to Me in your busy day. Come to Mass. Make ready your hearts and receive Me in Communion. I am there awaiting you as a groom awaiting his bride. I want to be with you, united in Holy Communion. I am truly present there, but which of you come? I wait for each of you. I am God. I can love you each so intently you do not understand. Your brother does not make up your love to Me. I wait, you little ones. Will you come and receive your love this day?

Ready your hearts and keep them holy. God will enter there. Prepare the way for Me. Do not sin. Do not lie to yourselves and tell yourself that some sins are of no account. Every sin is wrong. I tell you what is right and wrong in your hearts. You know the Ten Commandments. Satan tells you "but in this case, you are exempt", "this is out of date, you are allowed here." No, little ones, sin is sin and your heart knows what is wrong! Keep it pure. The more you lie to yourself about evil, the more right it becomes. Oh, how sad to numb your beautiful heart and accept the things of this world that are evil as okay. Evil is evil and you must guard against any evil the world tells you is okay.

I am the way, the truth and the life. When you abide in My ways, you possess the light of life. Do not be pulled into the world and its evil ways. Ready yourself for My love. I am as a bridegroom awaiting his bride. So pure, so white, so untainted she appears, just for her loved one. Her ways are gentle and kind and she is a picture of holiness, dressed in a white gown. Dress your soul in a white gown for Me. Keep your soul clothed in a cloth of dignity, a white cloth untainted by any sin, pure as the bride who meets her groom. Our meeting is with such love.

You enter My church, you walk My aisle. Your bridegroom awaits you in Communion. I am the bridegroom of your hearts. I come with such love to enter your soul. I am He Who walks with you to be united in Communion. I am Jesus. I am your true Love. I wait for you, My child. Please clean yourself up for My arrival! Think of My coming the day before and eagerly await our union. This is the greatest event of your life, union with God. Anticipate it with such eagerness, as the wedding of our hearts. I await you, little ones. I am God. What could this world ever give you that can be likened to God's entering your soul?

I am God and I come to you in Communion. Do you wait for Me, the bridegroom of your soul? Do you wait as one who is going to one's own wedding? This event far surpasses any wedding. It is you who are missing the significance here. I am here every Mass waiting, just for you. Get dressed, purify yourself, see the priest, go to confession, guard your tongue as the opening to your soul. I enter therein and you receive God, my child. Do you not comprehend this a little?

Read My words here. They are as real as the eyes you use to read them. It is you who blind yourself to all I have to give you. You do not reach with the things of the soul. You look for explanations in bodily things. To see the soul and the things of God you must reach with the eyes of God. You must be opened by the faith I eagerly want to give you. Beg to be open to Me so I can give you all you need to know Me. This world is blurring your Godly vision. It is hard to see through the mask of evil it has created. Every day the mask becomes more dense.

I am here, little one. You must die to this world to see Me. You don't need more of the world. You need less of the world. As the world decreases, your knowledge of Me increases. Take the mask off your face. Make your hearts pure. Pray to the Holy Spirit for His gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fear of God-all gifts that only He can give! Fill your hearts with the gifts of the Spirit. He will remove the blinders from your eyes and dwell in your soul. You will know a new life and I will become so much more alive to you. You, child, need the Spirit!

The way to God is through Jesus. You need the Spirit. You need the Father. You need all three. Pray to be made whole in the Holy Trinity. Pray for union with God. Pray for the things of the soul. When your soul is in order, all else falls into order. You needn't pray for things of the world. Pray to know Me more fully. Pray for unity with God. Pray for opening in your hearts. Pray for holiness. Pray for faith, hope, charity. Pray for knowledge of how to please God. These are the true treasures. All else is of no account. Don't recite prayers for worldly things. Pray for your union with God. This is what it is all about!

I am so eager to make Myself known to you. Our love affair awaits and it depends on you. I am here loving you. It is you who keep us apart. What could you find on this earth that could compare with a love affair with God, child? Your soul was created to know love and serve Me. It craves this union with Me. This appetite is stronger than any other you possess. You hold it back and make light of it because this world has taken God out. This world is messed up. I am God and you are a creature of God. You cannot take God from you or you remain only a creature. What dignity you sacrifice to remove God from yourself!

Prepare for the wedding of our souls. Your bridegroom awaits you. I am Jesus, Son of the one, true, God. I await your union with Me. Child, nothing you ever do on this earth can compare with Communion with God. If you do not behold this as something, you need to pray to know Me more. Go to the Spirit and beg Him for understanding and wisdom. Beg Him for all his gifts to enhance your knowledge of God. Beg the Spirit for His baptism. Let Him shower you with His life and you will become alive and on fire in your heart.

Your bridegroom awaits you. Prepare yourself for the wedding. Come, pure and white, and anticipate this union with eagerness. I love you so, My child. You will never find a speck on this earth that can compare with the love of God. Search, you feeble creature, for worldly satisfaction and you will never satisfy one little part of your soul. Your soul can only be satisfied by the love of God. It stalks your restless heart and is only satisfied in God. It craves God like an appetite except that it is much stronger. What is in your heart that is never satisfied by your worldly way? It is the soul that craves union with God. It constantly keeps you in a state of unrest, of searching, of seeking, of looking for more. The more is found in the Eucharist. It is the answer to the empty heart. It is the love you seek, but cannot find anywhere else. It is Jesus, child. It is your Bridegroom. Come and be in Communion with Him. He awaits you and bids you to come, pure in your heart, to the wedding-the wedding of your soul.

R. I felt as if there was so much I just did not understand and I was overwhelmed by the mystery of God. I opened the Blue Book to this:

Nov. 21, 1993:

Jesus speaks: Oh, what glories I have in store for you when you finally see it all, see all there is to Me! Little glimpses I will give you. These are special treats of My love, but you, in your earthly form, cannot even handle it. My power, My light, My fire would blow you off your feet and you would be out cold.

That is how I am at your side, with a power pack like this, and you worry about a power failure? Oh, how silly, when I am with you. Trust, trust. I am here.

A City on a Hill Shines to the World

February 23, 1994 5:30 a.m.

Jesus:  I am the light of the world. A city on a hill will shine to the world. You at the Center will be this city when you are filled to the brim with the love of Jesus. What power, what might, to have each person a personal spouse of Jesus Christ! This is the light to the darkened world. The love of Jesus radiates from the very being of those who love Him. What light when all together are lifted by His love abounding deep within their breasts!

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. My life is the life inside that cannot be contained. It is bursting and budding forth. My life is the real life. To possess the life of Christ within your breast! Such power! I am the city set on a hill that will stand united and shine to this world. You at this Center will be this city. You will be the true Center that places the mark on this world.

The love of Christ, abounding deep within the breasts of all, will be the power and the might. Pray the Prayer for Union with Jesus. I will operate in the hearts of all there and minister to My sick world. I am the Heart of Jesus. I am on fire with love of each and every soul. When My love is found in all the hearts there, the light of God will shine to this world!

You are the city, set on a hill, that shines to the darkened world. I will light the world with the love of Jesus that shines in the hearts of those who are fed there. My light is so bright. My power is endless. You are the light to the dark world. You contain the mighty medicine to bring My sick ones to Me. You will bring so many back to Me and My intense love, burning so brightly for all!

I am the power. I am the might. He who abides in Me will have the light of life. I give Myself to you that you will live. You will radiate My presence from your very being. My light is the brightest light. I will live in the hearts of all who come to you for their feeding. Enkindle in them the love for My most Sacred Heart. It is on fire for love of you. It cannot be contained. It will live in all hearts who come to you to be fed.

You are the key to enkindle this burning love of Jesus in the hearts of so many. Many will know Jesus through your love of Me. Read these letters every day for I am truly speaking to you here. I love each child so dearly and want to have an intimate union with that child. Teach all about the burning love of Jesus. Read My messages with your heart on fire so you can tell all of My ardent love for them.

I long to be close to them. I am a person. I am God, on fire for love of My people. Bring all to the ardent love of Jesus. Mary is by My side constantly. Where I am, she is there. She wants all to be led to My ardent, longing love. Teach all about My love. Fill them so they are overflowing in their hearts. This is the mighty medicine. It is My letter of intense, ardent love for My people.

I am truly here, little ones. I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. I will live strongly in the hearts of all who come to you. You will be the key. Focus on your intense love of Me. Read My letters as a cookbook for intimacy with Me. My love waits for each person and I tell you here how to be close to Me. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus on fire for love of you. I am longing for you to come and be with Me in silence. I will give you all you need.

I am the Alpha. I am the Omega. I am your all. I am God, one, true and magnificent, and I come to you with ardent love in Holy Communion and in the tabernacle. I am present, Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. I am waiting. Our love affair waits and it depends on you. I am there and I am waiting. You keep us apart.

Tell them how I long for them and have all they need. The love of Christ will light their city. You will stand as the lighted city in darkness. My love will be that by which you light this dark world. Oh, such power, such might! The love of God will reign in the hearts of all you touch. You are My vessel to draw this world to the love of Jesus.

Read and study My letters and be taught about My ardent love. I am Jesus Christ and I am teaching you about My love on fire for all. Come and be powered by the hand of God. My love will rock the world off its rocker when it reigns in the hearts of those who come to you. I love you so! You are My beloved. I will use you to light My dark world. You will shine as candles in the darkest night and you will be the instruments I use to light their wicks. I am God and I love them so dearly!

This is My love for all. Power and might will shine forth on the land. I am the brightest light. Look into the light for the light. Look into the arms of Jesus. I will light this world through you. Alleluia. And the angels sang and the choirs of heaven were heard for the earth proclaimed the Love of Jesus. Alleluia

I Showed You the Way--I Showed You Surrender

March 7, 1994 4:00a.m.

Jesus:  You are the city set on the hill. You will shine with the intimate love of Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am He Whose bootstraps you are unworthy to tie.

I am Jesus and I loved My little ones to My death. Do you know even a little about what it is to give your life for someone? Do you think of yourself and ponder yourself being this selfless? People cannot even take one hour to sit with Me. The world has made you all blind. You do exactly as you want. Meditate on My sorrowful Passion. Read My meditations on the rosary. This was My life, given for you, My little loved ones. I gave My life for you and you want more? You want more proof and signs, yet you cannot even pray a few moments after Communion!

I am the Master. I taught you about selflessness and surrender. Look at My position on the cross. Yet you hold back. You want your comfort. You want to make the world your end! Oh, you give a little. You give Me what you dole out, a little here, a little there, and say, "Okay, Lord, I'm good. I pray prayers. I spend my life doing holy things, but I am in control of what and how much I give you. I am in control, Lord. Aren't you satisfied?"

I am only satisfied when you surrender your all to Me! You give Me such little bits and pieces and you pat yourself on the back and look at the sick world and say, "Well, I am pretty holy." This is not the point. You judge, you decide, you do your own will! This is you, playing the game of running your life! You give here, you keep there. I want your all. I want your time spent alone with Me in front of the tabernacle. I want you to have an ardent on-fire love affair with Me. When you love, you give. You say to your lover, "Oh, anything you ask for I will give to you." If you ask for my shirt, I will give you my cloak as well because I love you this much!"

You don't know about love. You control your relationships with Me. Then what hurts My aching heart is how you talk about the love of God. There is not love in your actions. If you came and spent your life with Me, if you freely gave sacrifices for Me, this is love!

You look to the world and you judge yourself as doing so much. Look to Me, hanging on the cross, and judge yourself by My standards. I call you to an ardent love affair with Me. I call you to love--love of God, love of one another.

You do not have love for one another because you do not love God first. Love gives its all. Love does not seek itself. Love gives freely!

I died on the cross to teach you how to love. I am the Master. If you look to the world and judge yourself, you are not learning any lessons from Me. You must look to Me to learn from Me.

Look at Me on the cross, My arms outstretched, hanging from the cross. I gave My all! I gave Myself for love of you. I held not back a little. I held not back and I, God, could have stopped it all, but I gave you freely from the bottom of My heart with greatest love for you!

This, My sweet ones, is love. I showed you the way. I showed you surrender. I am Jesus Christ and I write to you. Do you listen? Oh, you, in your busy lives, do not surrender to Me even now.

What do I do to shake My beloved ones? You are all blind and dense. Look at how attached you truly are. You do not surrender. You do your will, you do your thing. I tell you over and over again to come and pray with Me for long periods. I tell you to pray after Communion. I write about praying before the tabernacle, but you do your will. You go to the world. You ask your questions there. You look for answers from each other. You do not surrender even one hour of your time.

I come and you receive Me, the Son of God, in Holy Communion! Do you stay and sit with Me or do you do what you want? I died for you, yet you cannot let go of even little things.

I am Jesus, Son of God. If you who profess to love Me cannot give of your life to Me, how do you expect others to learn from you? You teach as you are. You teach in your actions. Your actions are selfish and centered on self. I call you to denial of self and love of God.

One person fixed to the true life of Christ can move a mountain. You follow the world and try to do it yourself.

I preach coming to Me and sitting with Me. I, God, have all the answers. No one listens. What do I do to shake My faithful ones in their comfort?

I am Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God. I want to dwell in you and operate with the power of God. I invite you to My altar. I sit and wait with all the answers and you, in your pride, tell Me, "I am too busy."

Busy yourself for your day is at hand and you will know My might! I will shake the earth and you will listen. Then you will listen, but where were you when I gave you forewarning? You are waiting for the big boom. I am calling you now to listen to Me here.

Play your safe game. Waste your time. I am God and I am talking to you. You do it your way. I sit with the answers. Every answer is given here. I want My beloved ones to read these letters. I grow so tired of your foolishness. I am God and you are busy. Die to yourself, child. I showed you the way. I lead. You must follow Me!

I am your God. You shall have no gods before Me! Do you pray to Me in silence? You want your answers given to you. You want My love given instantly as you demand. I am waiting for a love affair with you. The fire of love is enkindled. Love is time spent together. Lovers sit together for long hours and learn to know one another. Would you give so little of yourself to develop a love affair with Me? I sit, I wait. I am there at every moment in all the tabernacles of this world, and you are busy!

Time is so short. One moment and it is up in smoke.

All that remain are the things of God. You are here to know, love and serve Me. I am sending out an urgent plea to publish all these messages--now.

These letters will turn the cold hearts to love. Do you not think I have all the power? You tarry, you deliberate. I grow tired. I am God and no one listens. You want Me your way. You want Me to come your way.

I sweetly tell you, in My gentle love letters, that I come, Jesus, the Son of God, gently in Communion. You are numb and blind. You want Me to roll drums and blare trumpets, but I come in the quiet moments. I roll no drums, I blare no trumpets. I come and you miss My calls!

What do I do to shake you? I, in all My might, can rock you off your rockers. I try to prepare you but you are too busy. Hold on to your last piece of dust and watch it go up in your face!

I am Jesus Christ, Son of God and I write to you and who pays heed here? This should tell you of your attachment to worldly things. You want proof. You look the other way. I am God and you contain the mighty medicine for this sick world. I am Jesus, the Son of God. Do you listen? Look at Me, dying on the cross. I gave My all for you. Do you not think I would send a mighty medicine this day for you? You are so blind. You do not listen.

I, God, talk here to you this very day.

My Heart Aches for You

March 13, 1994 5:45 p.m.

R. I was overtaken by an intense unrest. I was compelled to go to the tabernacle. I felt such suffering, suffering that Jesus suffered so for us and that everyone is so busy about their lives. Suffering for the indifference to Him and how He loves us despite our neglect! It was awful. I felt as I had on Christmas.

Jesus: I am the Lord, thy God. Thou shalt not have any gods before Me. I must be first in your life.

R. If you place any woman, man, children, food, clothing or any other little things above Him, you are not doing His will.

Jesus: I died for you, sweet one. I allow you to suffer. This is suffering. You are given this to know how I suffered. You I only give such little things. I suffered, sweet one. I suffered, bloodied, bruised and beaten. Blood rolled down My cheeks. My head was pierced with sharp thorns. They spat on Me. They whipped Me. They beat Me on My head, My precious head. They hit Me on My thorns and the pain was so intense--the piercing thorns! I was slapped hard by these senseless ones. Oh, such evil in the hearts of those who beat Me, the Son of God!

My whole Body ached from head to toe. I suffered so, My child. You will never know how I suffered for love of you. I am God and I loved all My precious ones to My death--and they ignore Me!

Oh, how I suffer from this wounded heart. They will never know what love I have to give them. They will never know how I, God, love them. They are so busy with their worldly lives!

You must tell them how I wait for them. I wait. I want them to come and I will give them such love! Tell them, Rita, tell them! Your discontent is from what emotions I give you and you keep them inside. I want all to know Me and My love. I am crying out to you, little one. Tell them, tell them. Do not waste any time. I am crying out for you to spread this message. I want you to tell all of My love and how I am waiting. Emotion! Emotion! I am crying out to you in your heart!

I long for their love. I died for them. How do I make them know if you, to whom I speak, hold back? I want you to get the messages out, child.

I loved all My beloved ones to My death. I love you this way this day. I am Jesus. I am begging you to not hold back this emotion.

Oh, child, My beloved ones are blind and are going down the road that leads to nowhere. You must preach My message. You must distribute My letters. You must tell all how I wait here!

Go to My faithful ones. Spread the messages at the Center. Keep them in your car. You will be called on in an instant and I will speak My message to My beloved ones through you.

Ready yourself for a big boom. No one is listening. I am crying out to you. Prepare your brothers. They are in darkness. Their souls are dying inside of them. Some come to Me with such indifference in Communion.

I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I am on fire for love of them. I am Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God. I call you to this state of urgency. Move your friends by this urgent letter. There is no more time to waste. I call you all here to deliver this message personally to you. I am Jesus. I am begging each of you to spread My message. Tell them of My ardent love. In each moment you waste, souls will be lost.

I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I am your God. I am calling to you. Will you listen or will you be numb to My pleading? I yearn for your love. Come and sit with Me every day. Sit in front of My tabernacle so I can give you what you need. Pray the Prayer for Union with Jesus.

I am Jesus, the Son of God. I cry out to you to preach My love. Spread these messages. Tell all you meet that I, Jesus, am alone. I am in your midst and I love you this very day. I wait for you in the tabernacle. Come and be with Me every day. This is all that you need. I give you everything. All will work when you come to Me to get your supplies.

Come to Mass and Communion daily. I wait for you to come and be in union with Me. I want to be so close to you. I love you all and I am asking you each to busy yourself about your love affair with Me. Make Me first in your life. Give Me all you are. Pray My Prayer for Union all through the day.

It is your union with Me that will change this world. You will light the lights of the souls in darkness. They will see the might of God in your soul. Energy will be emitted from your very being. You will be as you are, My most important workers, just in your being, if you surrender and be about our love affair!

It's so simple. Come to Me, be united in Communion, pray with Me in silence after Communion, pray to the Holy Spirit for all of His gifts. Pray, lay hands on each other for strength. I am Jesus. I am alive. I will live in you in such a way that you will do such wonders, just in your being more in love with Me.

I love you all dearly. Open yourselves. Be selfless and let Me possess your soul! I love you. Jesus
