Messenger: Our Lord wishes that we circulate
                        the Priestly Newsletter book II
                        to all the priests.

We also have bills from the printing
                        from the last two Newsletters.

If you can help or know someone who
                        can, please ask them.

We are still short rosary beads for
                        the rosary makers for rosaries
in the school for the month of October.

Our Lord would like us to purchase
                        B&M printing.

They have printed most of the materials
you have received and want to work
                        doing this work for Jesus.

Do you know anyone that can help us?

One of the major expenses is printing.
                        (They can also print books.)

August 1, 2001

Messenger:     What we must want is God's will for everyone.

A person in a holy community comes to serve God
                            in a particular way.

They surrender to a special way of life
believing that God intends to use them
for His greater good by living in a
                            community, in love, following a
                            particular way of life.

The prayer schedule for the servants, handmaids
                            and apostles is very important
to the way of life we follow.

The focus in the Shepherds of Christ is to be
a special intercessor praying for the
priests, the Church and the world.

Although I taught college math, at this
time of my life, my God has called me
                            to do this work.

I do this because I know God wants me here.
At one point in my life, I played daily Mass
and sang in a very special choir.
                            I no longer do this.

In so many ways God answered my prayer to
help me just do this work using the
talents I developed in the years before
                            for this work.

I see the world living their lives consecrated to
the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
I see children so focused on pleasing their
                            heavenly Father.
I see the world united in such oneness obeying
                            the commandments of God.

Many times one may come to live in a community
but they really want to be isolated.
This does not work in community life.
Although one may be quiet and living
deeply their interior life, when they enter
a community they have a special bond
of love with everyone in the community,
viewing the whole operation as a
special family. In a holy community
the common purpose is centered around
certain goals and they all share this
deep commitment that they give their
                            lives living in the community.

They must work on themselves, wanting their
own spiritual renewal. They must want
to be more perfected in their ways of loving,
realizing community life will help them
to grow into a more perfected person,
loving more deeply and advancing more
in the spiritual life, being so focused
on trying to be more and more like Christ.

The rosary is an important part of holy community
life. For the people there need to meditate
on the lives of the New Adam and the New
Eve and try to model their lives after Them.

In the Shepherds of Christ communities our focus
is to develop more in the spiritual life
through a life of deep consecration
to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

We promote many prayer practices amongst
people. Our focus is to encourage all to
pray the Morning Offering, consecrate their
hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
and attend daily Mass, spend an hour
before the tabernacle and our focus
for our prayers is to be intercessors
praying deeply all through the day
for the priests, the Church and the
                            world.

This is the way of life Jesus wants for all of His
                            Servants, Handmaids and Apostles of
                            the Shepherds of Christ Movement.

The rosary is a big part of our daily life, we
try to live out the mysteries in our lives.
We identify with Jesus in our lives. We live out
His life death and resurrection in our lives.

We usually try to pray on the hour if only
                            for a few seconds.

Our life is focused on Him.
                        We see ourselves as intercessors.

The prayer of St. Ignatius is very important
                            to our lives.

From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, Loyola University Press

TAKE, LORD, AND RECEIVE

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. Thou hast given all to me. To Thee, O Lord, I return it. All is Thine, dispose of it wholly according to Thy will. Give me Thy love and Thy grace, for this is sufficient for me.

Messenger:     We pray the Prayer for Union with Jesus all
                            through the day.

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

August 1, 2001 message continues

Messenger:     What follows at the end are many prayers
                            we pray.

Servants, Handmaids and Apostles try to pray
the Shepherds of Christ Prayers daily and
the Holy Spirit Novena. We try to pray them
                            if possible at 6:20.

First the yellow book or Holy Spirit Novena
Second the red book or Shepherds of Christ Prayers
Next the rosary for the movement.

We try to stay united in our hearts praying
as a body at certain times, always
praying to the Father, in the name of Jesus,
in union with Jesus in the Mass, in the
Holy Spirit united to all the angels and
                            saints and souls in purgatory.

The schedule I set forth above is for
                            Servants, handmaids and apostles and
hopefully future priests or priests who
wish to be apostle priests now.

Apostle Priests can follow as much as
                            possible for them, having other
                            commitments to the Divine Office
etc. but the prayer life has helped
those who follow it advance in a
                            deeper spiritual life.

We try to examine our consciences twice a day.

There are 7 levels of commitment in the Movement.

                        Here we will list them.

7 levels of commitment of the Shepherds of Christ

  1. There are Associates who gather and pray at least once monthly as a group and also help with donations to support the Shepherds of Christ priestly newsletter. They can be tremendously involved. They give as they feel they are able.
  2. Apostles are members who have restricted their apostolic activity to the Shepherds of Christ. They literally act as a body of lay people who have given their lives in their present living situation to do all that they can to bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart and triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart.
  3. Prayer Apostles are often shut-ins, some are able to go to church and pray. They spend much of their lives praying for the Movement.
  4. Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus are those who spend at least two separate hours weekly before the Blessed Sacrament praying for the following:
    1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
    2. For the Pope.
    3. For all bishops of the world.
    4. For all priests.
    5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
    6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this Movement to the world.
    7. For all members of the Catholic Church.
    8. For all members of the human family.
    9. For all souls in purgatory.
    10. In that hour before the Eucharist they spend part of the time praying the Shepherds of Christ prayers and the rosary. The time can be spent with spouse or others, but most spend the time alone before the Eucharist.

  5. Handmaids of the Good Shepherd are young and older women who have given their lives in community primarily to pray for the Shepherds of Christ Movement and intentions and to be special spouses of Jesus. Some have more duties than others. All have the primary duty of prayer and the desire to be a special spouse of Our Lord. One of the functions of the handmaids is their involvement in praying for and helping to circulate the priestly newsletter. The handmaids are not members of a religious order.
  6. Servants of the Good Shepherd are men who live in community with a lifestyle and purpose similar to that of the handmaids. The servants are not members of a religious order.
  7. We wish to form a special congregation of priests who will realize their great oneness with Christ. They will be consecrated deeply to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and support the Shepherds of Christ Movement as holy priests.

August 1, 2001 message continues

Messenger:     Our main focus in the Movement is to circulate
the Priestly Newsletter of Father Carter.

We do all we can to send it to the 75,000 priests
                            on our mailing list.

We are sending the Apostles of the Eucharistic
Heart material in the present foreign mailing,
this has slowed it down and because of funds
we are trying to do it ourself. So far not much
has gone out. We need your prayers, we need
volunteers and we still are short of funds
because the international Newsletter and mailing
seemed to take more money than we anticipated.
                            Please pray for us.

The good News is the 50,000 Newsletters to the priests
in the U.S. should have gone out Monday and Tuesday.
We need to pray for grace for the priests.

B&M our printer has a lot of accounts outstanding
with other people, it is really hurting their situation,
we ask you to pray so fervently that these people
                            pay what they owe them.
We ask you to pray that we can buy B&M
that somehow someone gives us what
                            we need to do this.

We are praying for Felix and his family, the man
                            who carved the crucifix.

We are so dependent on you for your prayers
                            and funds.

I will continue with the description of the
                            Movement I began.

Our main focus is the Priestly Newsletter.

Next our focus is to try to begin prayer
                            chapters praying for the priests,
                            the Church and the world.

                        Servants, handmaids and apostles run
the movement with the help of
                            one particular priest and other
                            priests for particular needs.

                         The Newsletter is published through
the directions of Father Carter before
                            his death.

His next direction is to publish and circulate
to the priests the Priestly Newsletter Book II.

This book could help to change the face of
the earth and lead men into this great
Reign of the Sacred Heart and triumph
                            of Mary's Immaculate Heart.

We all must pray for this. B&M has the
capacity to print this book, if this
                            is possible.

Think of the impact this book could have
on 75,000 priests including all Priestly Newsletters
Fr. Carter wrote from the end of 1996 to the end
                            of 1999.

Please, please pray for this and pray for
a big donor to help us do this as
Father Carter told us to do.

Another focus is getting the rosaries,
                            meditations, consecrations and
Morning Offering cards in the schools.

We just can't seem to reach the nursing home.
Even if you would just help us get this
card in the Nursing homes it would
                              enormously help.

August 1, 2001 message continues

Messenger:     We need big cards too that say
I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with
                                    you in love.

Well, the bottom line is we need you to be
a Shepherds of Christ in the capacity
God is calling you, but to be a
                            Shepherd of Christ you should
                            follow the procedure as defined
                            in these daily writings.

No person should use the Shepherds of Christ
material and then do their own prophesying
and speaking while using Shepherds of Christ
material or telling others about it. You should
do what we have been told to do for Shepherds
                            of Christ.

In the school rosary program, you should
use the materials and stick to the program
not say "Oh the Holy Spirit is telling me
what to do" and then do what you want.

We want to keep the Imprimatur material
                            in churches and schools.

There are so many writings for Nursing Homes
and schools. All of these have been very
                            carefully discerned.

It is important we always present the truth.

Please pray for all of the servants,
                            handmaids and apostles and the
                            priest helping us.
                            Please pray for the leaders.
We need your prayers and your support.

                            Thank you.

A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.

I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.

Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.

Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.

Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.

Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.

Oh Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. Prayer for Priests

Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. United with Your Heart and Mary's Heart, we ask that You take this petition to Your heavenly Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Morning Offering (for Shepherds of Christ Members)

My dear Father, I offer You this day all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings, my every breath, my every heartbeat, my every thought, all my actions, in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit. I pray the Holy Spirit is with me every second today, enlightening me to do the will of the Father and filling me with the fire of God's love.

I ask Jesus and Mary to be one in me in all that I do and I unite with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory to pray continually to the Father for these intercessions, in this prayer, for this day.

For myself, I pray for grace-abundant grace, to know and love God more and more and to follow the will of the Father. I pray to the Holy Spirit to transform me in the heart of Mary to be more and more like Jesus. I pray that I can forever dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. I pray for conversion of all those I hold dear who need conversion. I pray for each member of my family that they will be filled with Your abundant grace to grow in their knowledge and love of God.

I pray for all my friends that they will receive abundant grace to carry out the great plan of the Father, that they will grow forever closer to Jesus' Heart through Mary's heart, that we will all be led by the Holy Spirit to do His work, that we will, together, carry out the plan of the Father as He intends us to, to spread the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary's heart to this world.

Jesus, I pray for myself so the Holy Spirit descends upon me and opens my heart to Your love so I will grow more and more deeply in union with You. I pray that I do not worry what other people think but try always to please the Father and do His will. I pray that I may help lead many to Your burning love.

I pray for the following people in particular that they will be filled with the Spirit and grow deeply in their union with You, that they will receive abundant graces to know, love and serve You more. (Include special friends by name...)

I pray for priests the world over, for the success of the Priestly Newsletter, the Chapters and for the finances needed for the Newsletter. I pray for the circulation of the Blue Book messages, rosary meditations and tapes. I pray for all those involved in the publication of these messages.

I pray that You will shower Your abundant graces onto the priests reading the Newsletter the people reading and hearing the Blue Book messages and Rosary Meditations and all of Fr. Carter's publications.

We pray for the intentions we hold deep within our hearts, for our families and friends, for those requesting our prayers. We pray for children the world over and for the souls in purgatory. We ask God to shower His abundant grace on us and the members of our Shepherds of Christ chapter so that we may grow more and more in our knowledge and love of God.

We consecrate ourselves to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We pray for Father Carter, for Father Smith, for Rita Ring, and for John Weickert, for all leaders and helpers in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, for Shepherds of Christ Ministries, and Our Lady of Light Ministry. We pray for all those who are working in these ministries.

We bind ourselves and our children and our friends to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We place the precious blood of Jesus on ourselves, and all we touch, so that we will be protected from the evil one. We pray to St. Michael to cast the devil into hell.

We love You, God, we love You, we love You. We beg that we may receive the grace to love You more and more deeply. We adore You, we praise You, our beloved Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

A PLEDGE FROM AN APOSTLE OF THE SACRED HEART

Messenger:

I am but a little speck on this earth,
but with His might He can use me
to spread the devotion to His
                 Most Sacred Heart.

Oh dear and precious Heart of Jesus
I give myself as completely as
possible to Thee so you will use
me to spread the devotion to the
ends of the earth for Your most
                 precious Heart.

I am Rita your precious soul.

Use me to help to spread this burning
devotion to the souls of this earth.

I am yours, take me, use me as you
                 will.

          I surrender myself to you.

It is your might behind me, your power
that sends me. I am an Apostle of
the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I give
myself as completely as possible to
                 Thee.

Sacred Heart of Jesus I place my
                 trust in Thee.

Father hear us please. We beg through
                the  intercession of Father Carter
and Our Lady of Clearwater that
prayer chapters are started all over
the world and the Priestly Newsletter
                gets there immediately with the
                Prayer Manual.

Mary's Message from the Rosary of August 27, 1996Sorrowful Mother

Mary speaks: I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

A Note from the President of Shepherds of Christ:

If you are devoted to Our Lady's rosary, we need your help! A member of our ministry is very devoted to Our Blessed Mother and he is helping to teach us how to grow our volunteer rosary makers. He estimates that we will need approximately $37,000 this year for beads alone! This translates into 22,339,500 rosary beads (yes, 22 million beads) assembled by volunteers into 378 thousand rosaries. The biggest users of our rosaries are the Catholic schools, who requested more than 100,000 rosaries last year.

Can you help us? I appeal to you for funds, whether large or small. We give because we love God, we love our Blessed Mother, and we love souls. We will accept gifts in many forms, besides cash or check donations, we can receive gifts directly in the form of stocks or property. These gifts can offer large tax advantages to the donor and increase the monetary value of the gift to us. Also if you can help assemble rosaries we need your help! If you can help us in anyway, please call or write us. God Bless!

I love you,
John Weickert

A rosary can be used to pray for healing. It is powerful to unite our prayers to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and pray through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater.

In times of trouble, for special prayer, we can use our rosary and pray as follows.

A Rosary for Healing or for Someone with Cancer.

On one Hail Mary bead or as many as you desire, say:

May God heal                     through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater in union with the Mass and all the Masses being celebrated around the world.

Pray the Hail Mary or Hail Mary's then pray this after the Hail Mary.

May the cancer be uprooted and thrown into the sea.

We believe with all our hearts.

After the Glory Be — pray the following petition.

May                     be healed through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater if it be the holy will of God.

Note: You can look at Mary on the image rosary while you pray this rosary.

Note: The above section can be printed out from a PDF file, and you can pray the rosary looking at the pictures.

December 17, 2000, Mary speaks:

Help me to circulate my red and blue
    Rosary Books and the
prayers my Son gives to you.

This is a gift we give you.
All the revelations are gifts given to you.
My Son is the Light of the World.
He is Jesus born in a stable.
Will you help me?
He is the Light of the World. Help me, help me
reach my children of the world.
