Excerpt from August 3, 1999

Messenger: My dear Jesus, I want to write what I know now.

Purity of Relationship:

God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit communicate perfectly. They are all pure.

The highest relationship between God and a human person is between:

God the Father and Mary,
God the Son and Mary,
God the Holy Spirit and Mary.

First, God the Father willed Mary to be the Mother of God, to be pure, spotless, Immaculate, untainted by the sin of Adam and Eve.

This indicates a most holy union between God the Father and Mary. It is election, God the Father chose Mary. She is the Mother of divine grace according to the Litany of the Blessed Virgin.

Second, there is such a relationship between God the Son and Mary in that His human Body was formed within her.

NOTE: Mary could most purely love God more than any human person because of the purity of her Immaculate Heart.

Mary could communicate more perfectly than any human person because of her Immaculate Heart.

We are tainted by the sin of Adam and Eve and our fallen human nature has a tendency to indulge in behavior that is focused on self against God's will. Mary had purity in her actions as Mother, holy in her ways, not subject to the ways of the fallen human nature. She is sinless.

There is such a connection between Mary and her Son. We see His physical dependency on Mary when He was an Infant. Realize that His Body was dependent on a human person.

The writings I have been given in Rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and the Mass show deeply this connection between Son and Mother.

Third, the relationship between the Holy Spirit and Mary.

Together They brought forth the Child Jesus. God brought forth His Son in His human nature in the womb of the Virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit.

There is pure communication between Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Mary most pure, the "Singular vessel", communicates most perfectly with God.

There are not any flaws in the relationship between Mary and God. Mary is full of grace. She is the Mother of divine life within us.

We see why the relationship between Jesus and Mary is the model for us to follow. God the Son, a Divine Person, communicates most perfectly with His Mother Mary, a human person with an Immaculate Heart, a spotless Virgin.

Man is pompous and arrogant to think he does not, in his sinfulness, need the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Man is not living in truth if he does not recognize the weakness of his fallen nature.

Jesus, the Son of God, gives Himself completely as a Sacrifice for fallen man and many reject Him.

The Father gives man the gift of His Son.

The Father gives us a gift in Mary.

The human race is tainted by the sin of Adam and Eve and God the Father chose a spotless Virgin to be the Mother of His Son, the Mother of the Redeemer. Mary is a gift.

That is why God the Father said this in the beginning of His message January 18, 1997:

"Mary is a gift from Me, but you are willful and abuse the gift I send you."

Messenger:     My history

I went to Conyers and got this message

Cling to Me

May 13, 1993

Jesus speaks: My dear child, if you stay close to Me, then I live in you and you live in Me. I am He Who created you and I love you with such an intensity that you will never know. My words are your truth. You must abide in My heart in all things. There is no room for doubt. My ways are steadfast, direct, and without error.

You must stay rooted in Me to ward off the power of the evil one. His grip is paralyzing and crippling. His power is stronger every day.

When you live in Me, I am in your heart and he has no power over Me. I am your God. I am your true lover. I want to protect you. I want to guard you from this force. Stay rooted firmly in Me and he will have no power.

I am He Who comforts you. My hand is upon you. Hold tight to Me, My child. My eyes are fixed right on you. You are My most precious child. I love you as no other can. My arms are about you. My tenderness surrounds you. My love is in your heart. You go not alone. I walk with you.

I share every aspect of your life with you. Cling to Me, feel My presence. It is warm and secure within your chest. There is no room for fear, for I cast out fear and bring you comfort and joy.

May 23, 2003 message continues

Messenger:            Jesus had given me messages since October, 1991.

                              Mary began appearing daily July 5, 1994 - September 5, 1995.

Mary appeared almost every 5th for 2˝ years
                                    July 5, 1994 - December 5, 1996.

On December 5, 1996 - Jesus appeared at the

point of death on the cross instead of Mary.

12 days later Mary appeared on the building
in Clearwater, Florida  December 17, 1996.

Mary had appeared to me about 500 times to
                                    this date.

                                December 19, 1996 Mary said

December 19, 1996

Mary speaks:  My dear children, I give to you, my Son, Jesus, born in a stable in Bethlehem on Christmas morn. He is the Almighty God, the Light of the World.

I appear to you, my children, on a (former) bank in Florida. You have made money your god! Do you know how cold are your hearts? You turn away from my Son, Jesus, for your money. Your money is your god.

I am Mary, your Mother. I do not appear as I once appeared to you. I am asking you today to circulate my message given on a tape on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 1996. Please circulate this tape now. Give it to as many people as you can. I am Mary, your Mother. Please circulate my Rosary Book.

Mary's Message on Tom's Farm
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary speaks:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Junior Shepherds of Christ Meeting
Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center

Mary appeared as Our Lady of Fatima for one hour and 15 minutes. Mary appeared in the Sorrowful Mother statue at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center.

I was at Our Lady's House for the Junior Shepherds of Christ meeting. I cannot remember any great apparition of Mary in the Sorrowful Mother statue since August 12 and 13, 1996. She appeared all night and two times on August 13, 1996, once right before I went to the rosary at Tom's farm about 5:30 p.m. (the night John was there and St. Michael came out of the water). Mary comes when you least expect her.

Tonight I went to the Holy Spirit Center for the rosary with the Junior Shepherds of Christ. We could not pray in the Rosary chapel because Fr. Smith was going to say Mass. We could not pray in the Sorrowful Mother's chapel because the pews were draped with work clothes. We could not pray in the social hall because the band was playing. The only place left was in the hall on the other side of the wall from the band. The youth in the Shepherds of Christ chapter decided this was the place and moved pews in front of the statue.

As we began the rosary I began to see Mary, covered with a mist. Then I saw light around her. She got bigger than the statue, her face softened to that of the most beautiful woman—the same as the picture I took on Mother's Day 1995 when she told me to buy film and take her picture. She was all adorned in light. She changed, around her head and she became a young, beautiful girl. She then changed into a lady of immense light, all white, beautiful and young. I wanted to cry in awe looking at her. I wanted to stop the rosary and just see the apparition, but I continued to speak as she spoke through me.

The whole rosary was on Our Lady of Fatima. She turned into Our Lady of Fatima, so white, so beautiful, young in her face. I have seen many statues of Our Lady of Fatima. I have seen her all white and adorned in light before—Our Lady of Light, that is what she called herself.

On October 5, 1996 I saw her at Immaculata in the grotto. She had told me earlier that day she was Our Lady of the Rosary and gave a very strong message.

I do not recall seeing her in an apparition in the Sorrowful Mother's statue since August 13, 1996.

She was clearly, clearly, "Our Lady of Fatima" - LIVE. I saw her. I am in awe and wanted more, it was so beautiful!

She may have appeared as Our Lady of Fatima the first time. She was covered with the greatest light—a light as from a fire and all white, but on July 5, 1994 when she first appeared,

I did not know what Our Lady of Fatima looked like.

I know tonight she was like every statue I have ever seen of Our Lady of Fatima, glistening, and all white. She had beads or embroidery around her cloak. I know she looked like the Lady of Fatima statues but LIVE.

Every time we sang A Song From Jesus she would shine with the brightest light and her face would fill with the greatest joy.

There was no place for Jesus to be born—He was born the Light of the World in a stable in Bethlehem and the brightest star shone above His bed.

This rosary on Fatima needs to circulate to the youth. Mary appeared to tell us to tell the youth this rosary. It does not have any message from Mary, only information from her for the youth.

Mary's message for the youth: a rosary on Fatima—as she appeared to deliver it.

This is a great comfort to me. She appeared, Our Lady of Fatima, to tell us that this is truly a major part of the completion of the Fatima message.

The youth told me they could not hear the rosary, only the loud music of the band. I did not hear the band at all—but was in awe with Mary's appearing and the rosary!

At one point I saw a little blond hair sticking out from under her veil at the top of her head.

At least three times I saw this immense Lady of Light turn into Our Lady of Fatima. It was as if she was transformed from the Lady of Light into the Lady of Fatima.

The room was a brightly lighted hallway with big balls of light that came down from the ceiling.

She was adorned in light, brighter than the hallway, light as bright as seven suns, the Lady of Light.

It is in her womb we see the light, the light of knowing God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Joyful Mysteries

The Annunciation

  1. Our heavenly Mother Mary, gave messages associated with the major Fatima apparitions. She told Jacinta, one of the three visionaries at Fatima...

"'Tell everybody that God gives graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Tell them to ask grace from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ask them to plead for peace from the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Lord has confided the peace of the world to her.'27
"This last message offers us an excellent opportunity to summarize the Fatima message. It tells us "that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
"At the center of the veneration for which Our Lord calls is the act of consecration to His Sacred Heart and to Mary's Immaculate Heart."
28

  1. You should not be afraid, for Jesus and Mary are with us. They are watching us, and they are helping us in everything that we do. God is in charge.
  2. So we come to this rosary to gather and to pray as the Junior Shepherds of Christ Associates. It is in this rosary that we will receive help to not be afraid, to help to take the light to the dark world.
  3. It is in going through our Mother Mary that we will be formed more and more into the image and the likeness of Jesus.
  4. The Child Jesus was formed in the womb of the Virgin Mary, through the power of the Holy Spirit. When we go to the heart of Mary, the spiritual womb, we are transformed more and more to be children of light.
  5. How Mary loves the children of this world. She guards them and mothers them more than any earthly mother. Mary guards us with her motherly care, and watches over us, and wants to lead us to the Heart of her Son, Jesus.
  6. Christ showed us. He was born of the Virgin Mary. He came into this world in the Virgin Mary. We too must go to the Virgin Mary in order to have this close union with God. Mary is the gateway into the Heart of Jesus.
  7. At Fatima, Mary spoke to the children and she called them her children. We must realize that she is calling us, her children, to the Heart of her Son, Jesus.
  8. What of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary? The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are our refuge in this life. They are the Hearts of true love. It is in giving our hearts to Jesus and to Mary that we will have hearts filled with holy love.
  9. So much of this world has turned to hearts that are cold. Jesus wants love, burning love, from the children of this world, and He is given a cold heart.

The Visitation

  1. We carry Jesus within our hearts.
  2. When we visit others we bring the Jesus that lives within us to the other person. We embrace Jesus when we embrace each other in love.
  3. Mary went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth. The Child Jesus was within Mary's womb. We carry Jesus within ourselves. We receive Him in the Holy Eucharist. When we go to Communion, we go to our pews, and we have the Son of God within our hearts. He is as present in our hearts as He was when He was carried in the womb of Mary, when she went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth.
  4. We do not even realize the great gifts God has given to us when He gives Himself to us in the Holy Eucharist. Think of what it would be like if He took away the gift of the Holy Eucharist, if He took away the Mass.
  5. We must be strong. We are the youth that are being sent to go into a world that has turned sinful. Some have turned their backs on God. We must realize, that we must be strong. It is hard in this world, but we must go to Jesus. We must spend time with Him everyday.
  6. Jesus is the Son of Mary. Jesus and Mary are with us.
  7. Hail Mary...
  8. We must listen to the words of scripture, the words that we are given as teachings. We must pray to the Holy Spirit that we will comprehend the word of God, for God is speaking to us in His word. The Holy Spirit gives us understanding into these words that we will know God and love Him.
  9. Mary brought forth an infant child. She watched Him. She cared for Him. All through His life, she stayed close to Him. All through our lives our Mother Mary is forever by our sides.
  10. We must be strong, for we are being called by God. It is not a myth. He is calling each one of us to be leaders to help to lead the other youth to God.

The Birth of Jesus

  1. The heavenly Father allowed Mary to appear at Fatima, and she told us what we must do. She told us that in order to have peace in the world we must give our hearts to her and give our hearts to her Son, Jesus.
  2. She said that if we did not pay attention to her there would be a great war. Man ignored the pleading of Our Lady at Fatima, and there was World War II. Many, many, many people were killed. They suffered a brutal death.
  3. At Fatima, she showed the three young children the fires of hell. They were very young, and they said they would have died of fright had Our Lady not assured them that they would not go to hell.
  4. Why would Our Lady appear to children and show children the souls suffering in the fires in hell?
  5. Mary appears at Fatima, and she is ignored. To this very day we do not do what Mary told us to do at Fatima. At Fatima she promised in the end the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign, and her heart will triumph.

  6. Jesus Christ came into the world in the womb of the Virgin Mary. He came as the Light of the World. He will be, in this great era of peace to come, the King and the center of all hearts.
  7. He came in poverty. He was born in a stable. He came to show us that the great riches are not found in the riches of the world, that they are found in Him. He is the King, but He comes into this world in poverty.
  8. The greatest riches are found in the Heart of Christ.
  9. It is so simple. Why do we not love God, why do we not love one another?
  10. Why does man think that he can ignore God, that he is in control, that he can do his own will?

The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple

  1. The old man Simeon said in the Temple that "Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed-" (Lk. 2:34)
  2. And he said to Mary, "and a sword will pierce your soul too-so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare." (Lk. 2:35)
  3. Mary is the Mother of all the children of the world, and look how she is treated by so many of her children. Many abuse her name. They abuse her images. They do not love her. She is their Mother, and they do not love her.
  4. Mary told us at Fatima what we must do in order to have peace in this world. The fourth commandment tells us we must obey our earthly mother. What makes us think that we do not have to obey our heavenly Mother?
  5. She said that man was sinful and that he was offending God. She said to Jacinta before she died, "I can no longer restrain the hand of my Divine Son from striking the world with just punishment for its many crimes." 29
  6. Here it is 80 years after Fatima and we have disobeyed our heavenly Mother and the wishes that she gave to us when she appeared at Fatima. After World War II you would think that everyone would have heeded her message of Fatima.
  7. Satan goes about the earth as a roaring lion, searching for souls to devour. When Mary showed the children at Fatima the fires of hell, she was telling them that hell was a reality and that we must go about the world and try to lead others to her Son.

  8. What if you were one of the children at Fatima and our Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to you, in her light, and in her beauty? What if she said, "You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go...If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed..." 30 What if she showed you the fires of hell and the souls suffering? Would you help?
  9. Would your life change if Mary appeared to you and told you these things? Would you go and spend your life trying to tell others about the vision that she gave to you? Would you take this with the utmost urgency? If Mary was appearing to you, would you do something to heed her warnings?
  10. Remember Noah and the Ark? The people were sinning up to the time that Noah entered the Ark.

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

  1. They were warned. They were warned over and over again of their sinfulness. They were told that they must change, but they would not obey and so God told Noah to build an Ark.
  2. And all men were destroyed, but those men on Noah's Ark.
  3. Mary searched for the Child Jesus in the Temple. Today, there are many searching for those things that will make them happy. We will not be happy if our lives are not rooted in God.
  4. We must go to Mary in order to be close to God. As Noah went into the Ark for his refuge, we to must go to the heart of Mary. She is the Ark that will lead us to the Heart of her Son.
  5. So many this day are sinning. They must go to the temple. Mary is the temple that we go to, in order to find God. We go to her spiritual womb, to her heart, and we find God. We must do as Our Lady told us at Fatima, and give Mary our hearts. All through the day we give Mary our hearts and Jesus our hearts.
  6. This is our job, to spread the Fatima message, to do what Mary has told us to do at Fatima, to give Jesus our hearts, and to tell all the other youth that we must do what Mary said at Fatima. We must give Mary and Jesus our hearts, pray the rosary, go to church on first Saturday, and tell Jesus and Mary we are sorry for the sins in this world.

  7. Mary's peace plan is so simple to follow. We have disobeyed our heavenly Mother at Fatima. Mary appeared on July 13, 1917 to the three children. Mary showed the three children a vision of hell. She told them,

"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace."31

We must obey Mary. The plan is the same plan today. We must reach the youth of this world with the consecration We must tell them to give their hearts to Jesus and Mary.

  1. Mary is the temple. We will find Jesus if we go to Mary.

Song: "Oh Holy Dwelling Place of God..."

  1. We have been given great gifts from Our Lord and from Our Lady. We want to be leaders, to lead other young people to Jesus and to Mary. We must thank them for the gifts we are given, for what we do with our lives will make the difference to so many souls. She showed the children the souls in hell. Visualize this as clearly as possible in your mind. What you do to help to spread the message of His love will make the difference to so many souls.
  2. Can we truly look at our Mother, Mary? See her before us, adorned in the greatest light. See her glistening? Look into her beautiful face, into her eyes. Tell her we must help to lead her children to the Heart of her Son, that you will help her to help others so they will not be lost to the fires of hell forever.

The Joyful Mysteries

Mary appeared in the Sorrowful Mother Chapel for two hours. The whole corner was adorned in the most brilliant celestial light with a pink hew. Marty and I will never forget the experience of this evening. Jesus illuminated in the Sacred Heart statue during the litany and the promises of the Sacred Heart. Jesus requested that this rosary be circulated to all.

The Annunciation

  1. R. The Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and asked Mary to be the Mother of Jesus.
  2. R. Mary always complied with the Will of the Father. Jesus always complied with the Will of the Father. In looking at their lives we see how they always lived according to the Father's Will. It is in living according to His Will that our true joy and happiness lie.
  3. R. She was filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
  4. R. Picture the Virgin Mary as vividly as you possibly can and see Mary as she carries the child Jesus within her womb.
  5. R. She conceived the child Jesus. Mary, a spotless virgin, conceived Jesus, the Son of God. He was inside of her! She was bursting with the life that was God's life radiating from her very being!
  6. R. Do we realize how God wants to be one with us? The more we become united to Him, the more His presence radiates from within us and shines to those that we come in contact with. God is so good that He sent to this world His only begotten Son through the Virgin Mary. He sent His Son because He loves us and He yearns and longs and thirsts for us to be ever closer to Him. It is in His presence within us that we will light up this world. It is in our oneness with Him that we will shine as little lights to the rest of the world.
  7. Song: O holy dwelling place of God. O holy temple of the Word. O holy Mary, holy Mother of God!
  8. R. God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son into this world, incarnate in the womb of the Virgin Mary. The Word became flesh! God took on flesh!
  9. R. As Mary contained the presence of the Almighty God, as He grew within her womb, His Sacred Heart was formed in her womb through the power of the Holy Spirit. He remains with us this day in the sanctuary of the tabernacle. His same presence is there. God, in His divinity and humanity, truly present in the tabernacle, longing for us to come and to share our lives and our time with Him.
  10. R. I see before me so clearly the Virgin Mary as she carried the child within her womb. It seems beautiful to think of Mary carrying the child Jesus within her, but the risen Lord is with us this very day! He remains with us in greatest love but His Heart is wounded by the indifference and the neglect of His chosen souls, the ones He loves so dearly, that totally neglect Him and treat Him so coldly.

Who are we that God is so good that He sent into this world His only begotten Son and that He loves us so much that He created us in His own image and likeness? We are His creatures but He raises us to such heights in His divine life.

Song between decades: Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts. Enkindle in us the fire of Your love. Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts. Enkindle in us the fire of Your love.

The Visitation

  1. R. Mary made haste to the hill country to visit her cousin Elizabeth who also was with child.
  2. R. When she arrived, the child in Elizabeth's womb leapt for joy.
  3. R. And Elizabeth cried out in a loud voice, "Of all women you are the most blessed and blessed is the fruit of your womb! Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord?" (Lk 1:42,43)
  4. R. And the child in her womb leapt for joy!
  5. R. Mary cried out in a loud voice the Magnificat!
  6. Song: My soul rejoices in God, my Savior. My spirit finds its joy in God, the living God.
  7. R. For He Who is mighty hath done great things to me and holy is His name!
  8. R. John the Baptist, even in his mother's womb, leapt for joy. Prepare ye a way for the Lord! He is truly coming and He is in our midst this day. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is truly present and we stand around and balk and do not realize the immensity of the great gift that He has given us. Fill our hearts with Your grace so that we may be gifted with courage to go out and spread the Good News, the news of His great love to all the souls that He longs to be close to. For truly, if we love Him, it is our duty to go out and tell others of the immense love He has for them!
  9. Jesus:  I call out to you this day, My beloved ones, for I am truly present. You are My chosen ones that I call upon to unite ever so closely to My Heart. I send you into this world among the wolves that will bite at you and grab at you. You must be strong soldiers to spread My love throughout the world. Will you not answer this call for I am calling with such an ardent plea? Please, I am begging you to take this plea seriously.
  10. R. Prepare ye a way for the Lord for He is truly coming! He is in our midst this day. Go into the highways and the byways and spread the Good News for you truly possess the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven!

Jesus:  Let your hearts not be heavy but light, filled with the fire of My love. Ascend upward and upward. Do not be dragged down by the perils and the sins of this world for I am filling you with My divine life and My divine love. You must forever ascend upward, always with your eyes cast upward toward heaven for you are My soldiers that I send into this world to spread the Good News to all those that are hurting and in pain. I call out to you. Do not worry for what is happening around you.

Song between decades: Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts…

The Birth of Jesus

  1. R. The child Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in such poverty. He was born in a stable because there was not room for Him in the inn.
  2. R. See a little, tiny baby, so helpless! A baby that cannot do anything! God, in all of His might and power, came to this earth as a little, tiny baby!
  3. R. His way always was to comply with the Will of the Father. Mary always lived according to His Will. It is in complying to the Father's Will that we will know true peace and joy in our lives.
  4. Mary:  I am the Immaculate Conception. I am here with you, my beloved ones. I call out to you to pray fervently, for the days ahead are days filled with suffering. This world has lost its way. You must pray fervently for all beloved souls. I call you to pray this rosary every day. Pray the rosary as you have never prayed from your heart before. Be filled with the love of my Heart and my Son, Jesus. Be forever wrapped in our lives. Come, come to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and be led deeply into our immense love for you. Pray, my little ones, for sufferings are to come, deep sufferings. This world is disobedient. They will not obey the laws and commands of my Son. I have come! I have called! I am ignored! My dear ones, my sweet ones, I tell you, I tell you to pray. Listen with your ears open and your hearts filled with the love of God. It will be your strength for the dark days that are ahead. I am the Immaculate Heart. I call out to you, my beloved. This rosary is a tool that will draw many hearts to the Hearts of me and my Son.
  5. Mary:  I pray with you, my little ones. Each prayer that you pray should be connected with me and my Son and the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory. You are praying as one with the courts of heaven. Lift high your hearts! Lift your voices and join with us!
  6. Mary:  I pray for this world, for this world that is sinful and godless. I ask you to pray fervently and to come to my Most Immaculate Heart.
  7. Mary:  How my little children suffer, little children that are so young! Men's hearts are so cruel and filled with self. I beg you to go out and spread the love of my Son to this world. You must stayed fixed on Him!
  8. Mary:  My Heart bleeds and I cry bloody tears for the slaughter that is happening to the young ones. As my child was a baby in my arms, I call out to you to pray fervently for the little ones, for they are being persecuted far beyond anyone's comprehension from the ways of this world. My precious little children!
  9. Mary:  I am the Mother of all!
  10. Mary:  I am the Immaculate Conception and I am truly present and with you. Men will not listen. They will not turn from their ways. You must pray as you never prayed before. The times at hand are times of great suffering. I am calling out to you to spread this message to the world, for this world is not listening. Who is here to pray with you? Three! Three of you are here and I am in your midst! Men do not care for their world. They hold on to their world and I tell you over and over again to pray the rosary. I am truly present and I am here with you!

Song between decades: Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts…

Mary:
I am the Virgin Mary and I wish for you to pray in this room tomorrow night.

The Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple

  1. R. Mary and Joseph went to the temple with the Child Jesus in their arms. Simeon, the prophet, was there and told Joseph and Mary of the sufferings that Jesus and Mary would have to undergo.
  2. Mary:  My Heart was pierced with a sword so many times through my Child's life. My dear ones, people will suffer because they will not listen. They are willful in their ways. I call out to you to spread these messages in any way that you can, for I am truly speaking to you here and times are so short. My dear ones, carry this message out to this world, for sufferings are at hand!
  3. Mary:  I call you to come on the fifth of April and pray the rosary here in this room.
  4. Mary:  Bring with you all that will pray, for sufferings are at hand. You will suffer such immense sufferings. You need to pray! Pray the rosary! Tell all to come and be with me in this room to pray the rosary!
  5. Mary:  I have held back the hand of my Son! He will call upon the earth and there will be such suffering, my beloved ones. You tarry too long! These messages of His love must circulate! You do not know what is about to befall the earth. I call out to you this day to listen to me for, as you see me illuminated before you, you know that what I speak to you is true.
  6. Mary:  Pray! Pray! Pray!
  7. Mary:  I am Our Lady of Light and I appear to you to take this message to this world this day! Carry this message to every person and tell them what I tell you here!
  8. Mary:  My Heart was pierced with a sword as I stood beneath the cross of my Son! As He gave His life, His flesh and His blood for love of you, my Son loves each and every soul. He died for them! I beg you to go into this world and to spread His love to every corner of this world. You can not hold back! Souls will be lost because they did not know the love of my Son. You are in a position, for He is speaking to you, to carry this message to those who are hurting. Feed the hungry souls with the love of my Son!
  9. Mary:  Let your hearts be filled with my light! May you have the courage that the Holy Spirit will give to you so strongly to transform you from fear to fearlessness, to carry out the plan of the Father. You are my lights to shine to this darkened world! Let your hearts be opened and go, my children! Go! I summon you to go and to not hold back!
  10. Song: I come to you with greatest love, I am your loving Savior. I am your God, I died for you. I come to you this day.

Mary:  I will make myself known to those who come and pray this rosary!

Song between decades: Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts…

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

  1. Mary:  I would like my Son Jesus present in the tabernacle when you pray this rosary!
  2. Mary:  My Son was taken to the Temple for the feast of the Passover. We lost my Son in the Temple. So many souls this day are in deep darkness and have lost their way. They are dead in their hearts! I pray to you to go out to this world and spread the good news! You are so favored by God that you are given such great gifts! To hold them to yourself is not to His liking! I beg you to spread this news, to pray for courage, to do what He is asking you to do!
  3. Mary:  He has chosen this Center to be apostles to go out into the world and to spread the love of His Most Sacred Heart through my Most Immaculate Heart. Can you not answer the call that I give to you this day? You are so favored, so chosen, so gifted by God Himself and you bicker and you fight and you complain! You, my chosen ones, the chosen race, look at you!
  4. Mary:  You look at each other with eyes of envy when God is speaking here! Each person that receives this message is receiving a grace, a gift from God Himself! You do not even see! You are so blind!
  5. Mary:  Pride is an evil that ruins men's hearts. Speak to all men of pride. It is only a loving heart that will unite with the Heart of my Son. A heart of love will light up this darkened world. I send you as soldiers into a world that is godless! You are fighting a battle with this world, with hearts full of the love of my Son. Look at all the souls that are lost! Look at the children of these parents who have gone astray! Little children! Look at their lives! I am so sad for the lives of my children. I call to you this day. Look at your world, America! You are so blind! You do not see! You have turned deaf and you have closed your eyes! I come and I appear! My Son talks and so many do not pay Him heed! I beg you! I beg you to heed my words for I truly am Mary, and I am speaking to you!
  6. Mary:  Hearts that are hard, hearts that are godless, hearts that are lifeless, hearts that are dead in sin! Look at your world, America! Can you turn your head and look the other way? I come and I plead with you to turn your hearts back to the love of my Son, and who listens? Three come to pray my rosary with me! How do I shake those into listening to me here for I am truly speaking in this rosary to my beloved children? Listen to me! All those who come to this rosary will receive abundant graces from me and my Son!
  7. Mary:  My lost children, how the fires in hell burn, burn so brightly for the souls that were willful and had their own way. You do not see! You do not comprehend! You focus on little details here in your lives! Focus on the fires of hell, my dear, sweet children. Souls are burning in the fires of hell for their own willfulness and sin, and many more will be lost despite the sufferings of my Son. Many souls will be lost. I call you to unite with the Heart of my Son, to go into this world and preach the Gospel at every highway and byway, to spread the love of my Son, Jesus.
  8. Mary:  My little, lost children, I am your Mother, and I lead you on your way, closer and closer to Heaven!
  9. Song: O holy dwelling place of God. O holy temple of the Word. O holy Mary, holy Mother of God!
  10. Mary:  Tomorrow is the 31st of March and I tell you to come to this chapel and pray the rosary in this chapel at 6:20 p.m.

Excerpts from Rosaries
from the
Hearts of Jesus and Mary - vol. 1

Excerpts from "An Explanation of What Is to Follow"

On July 4, 1994 I prayed with the children in front of the Our Lady of Grace statue in the sanctuary. On July 5, I recorded our experiences. The statue of Mary continued to glow and come alive. Jesus and Mary told Fr. Carter to pray with the children and me on July 10.

I would see Mary glow. Several weeks later I realized she was appearing in the statue as "Our Lady of Light." She then began to say she was appearing as "Our Lady of Light." She would show me a parade of faces, her clothes would all turn glistening white, and her attire would change. She would appear as a parade of different ladies. Her veils and head coverings would change. She has appeared as many different Marys. Her emotions have varied, her age has varied and her clothing has varied. She has shown me her life in the rosary. In the rosary, we meditate on the lives of Jesus and Mary, from Their young lives to Their older lives, from Their sorrows to Their joys. She takes on many roles as our mother, her mantle forever covering and protecting us.

July 5, 1994 6:30 p.m.

I was told to go to Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center to pray the rosary with my children. There were people in the front of the church, so we decided to pray the rosary in the back before the Sorrowful Mother statue. I had the following vision at the end of the rosary.

The statue of the Sorrowful Mother was lit up as if she had fire around her. The light was very bright. Her whole gown was all-white, but the statue's gown is blue and pink. She was all aglow. It looked like the glow that comes off of a fire. Her face kept changing but remained totally sorrowful-the sorrow of an older woman. She was in such pain and sorrow! (It was hard to explain how she looked-extremely pained!) Her face looked as though she was in such pain that she could hardly bear it.

The vision remained like this for about ten minutes, having begun during the last Hail Mary of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the rosary. She was holding something-it was all bright white-the brightest light ever!

- From Blue Book IV

July 6, 1994 6:30 p.m.

Vision (in front of the Sorrowful Mother statue): I was told by Mary to go alone at 6:30 p.m. to Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center. I prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries again, saying a sentence at each Hail Mary. She was aglow, all in white. She remained like this for at least 10 minutes.

Excerpt from "Explanation of Rosary Meditations and Visions"

On July 10, Jesus and Mary told Fr. Carter to go to Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center and pray the rosary with my children and me. He came to the Center every day and led the rosary. Mary told me to say a meditation on every bead.

On July 14, I prayed a meditation on every bead as Fr. Carter led the rosary. During the middle of the fifth mystery, Mary started to change faces. I saw all different expressions, all different ages-older, sorrowful, young, beautiful, mostly joyful. The faces would first be old, then young. Lights would flash on and off.

There was a constant shadow of the cross, with Christ on it, behind the statue of Our Lady. The veil around her head would change from bright whites to darker shades. Her head cover would change with her many faces. I was so weak that I could hardly move the chair when the rosary was over. I felt totally exhausted.

Father Carter continued to pray the rosary every day with us for about 3 1/2 months. Jesus and Mary told him to come and pray. We were taught more and more about the lives of Jesus and Mary through the rosary.

August 1, 1994

The following is the first official message I received before the statue of Mary at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center. It is a personal message for Father Carter.

Mary (in front of the glowing statue of Our Lady of Sorrows): I am the Immaculate Heart. My Heart is glowing for love of all my beloved children. I am your most loving Mother. I am with you this day. Pray for the success of the priestly newsletter Shepherds of Christ. I am guarding your way. You will receive such graces to accomplish this task! Grace from God is so abundantly bestowed on you and will lead to the success of this endeavor! Pray for this cause at the Center. The priests will lead the people to the love of My beloved Son. This is no little task. It will take many prayers and graces. Pray hard, little one. Your prayers will change many hearts.

I am Mary, your Immaculate Mother. I bring this message to My beloved priest-son.

August 10, 1994 After Mass, Fr. Smith's Chapel

See Mary as she beholds the baby in her arms. She looks at Him so tenderly. His sweet baby eyes look up at the eyes of His loving Mother. Such tenderness between Mother and Son, such oneness to hold her infant Son so lovingly in her arms. Oh, do we ever know the tenderness between a baby and his loving mother?

A life of close union between this mother and this Son, a life of her looking into His loving eyes. Such silent, but strong and loving communication! Such a strong bond-their eyes meeting-from one soul to the other soul.

Song: See the eyes that look at Mary (Verse l)…

Deep, deep communication, a deep bond, indescribable in words, a touching of the souls! And the peering look between Son and mother on the road to the crucifixion. What a peering look, what communication between this Son and Mother. Seeing the other suffer was as agonizing as each's very own suffering-suffering and oneness between a Son and His mother. A peering look, deep into the very souls. Such an intimacy between Them!

How can one describe in words this oneness, this union between the Son and His Mother? The perfect love between Him and her. Total giving of each person in such love to the other. To see the suffering of the other was as agonizing as-if not more than-each's own suffering.

How His passion and crucifixion were intensified by the sufferings of His dear Mother! How her sufferings were such a sharing in our redemption, the swords that pierced her Heart! The eyes of Mary that invisibly bled as she watched such brutality to the beloved baby she once carried in her womb and held in her arms!

Song: Little baby hands and feet…

Mary held the Child Jesus when he was a baby; she watched Him and cared for Him as a little boy; she was so attentive to the needs of her little Son. Will we ever know this connectedness between Their loving hearts? Do we know this oneness? The peering eyes on the way to Calvary tell the story. They tell the story of this oneness. They tell the story of her watching this horrid event of her beautiful baby Son and His horrible passion and death.

Her eyes! Oh, Mary, help me to see the love of Jesus through your eyes! You watched Him as a baby, you watched Him as a child. You watched Him grow into the beautiful man He became and you, Mary, watched Him all through this bitter passion and death. Your eyes saw the love that He gave for us. Now you come, Mary. You appear to tell us to go to this Son. You knew more than anyone His love to suffer so for us. You come and appear with blood in your eyes and tears running down your cheeks. You show me your sorrowful face, your young face, your old face, your joyful face. This was the face Jesus peered at as He walked His walk to Calvary. This was the face that appears now to tell us the story of His love this very day. I see your parade of faces, Mary, old and young, sorrowful and joyful. I see these faces that Jesus beheld. Your face tells the story of His love for us.

Mary: This is my beloved Son. This is my baby. This is the child I bore in my womb. He came to give you love. He came to be God-made-Man among you this very day. He is, my children, no less present in the Eucharist than He was at Calvary and you go after such incidental things. My Son loves you. I show you my face so you can tell the world of our love. Live our lives in the rosary. Let our lives live in your day. The way to eternal happiness is to be likened to my beautiful Son.

I watched my Son. I lead you to the ardent love of my Son, Jesus. His Heart burns for love of you. Come to Him this day. Give Him your love. Spend time with Him. He is alive and in your midst in the Eucharist.

Note: I smelled roses very strongly throughout this message.

Song: See the eyes that look at Mary (Verse 2)…

R. This is the Son of the Father, the Son of God, born of Mary through the Holy Spirit, and He lives this day in your hearts. Share His love for you. Go to Him through Mary's Heart. She who is so closely united to Jesus! Their hearts are so close to one another! As their eyes were joined in such oneness, their hearts are joined in such intimacy. Go to Jesus' Heart through His beloved Mother, through her who bore Him in her womb, her who watched Him give Himself for love of you.

August 23, 1994

R. The bond between Jesus and Mary started when He was conceived. The bond between a mother and son or daughter is so strong because the child grows within the mother's womb.

Mary: I felt His life within my very body. This connection between myself and my Son began from the first moment of conception. For nine months I carried the Son of God growing within me. What joy, what honor, to carry the child Jesus within my womb! The Spirit filled my being constantly.

Carry His life within your being. Jesus wants to be alive in your very heart. The Spirit wants to be a force alive in your heart. The Spirit wants to permeate your very being and make you alive with the fire of God's love. The Father is present in your heart. Your Father loved you and molded you in your mother's womb. He cares for you as no other father ever cared for his child. You are His, created out of love.

You are truly a child of God and my most loved child. I mother you as I mothered my Son Jesus. Oh, little child of mine, turn to me as your most loving mother. Do not try to go it alone. From the love I have for Jesus, I will lead you to His precious Heart. Come to me and let me lead you to such close union with my Son! The Father is my Father, the Spirit my Spouse. Come and let me lead you to the unlimited love of God!

He truly guards you every minute of the day. His love is constant. Jesus is forever a burning furnace on fire for love of you. Come to His Heart through my Immaculate Heart. It is truly the love of Our Two Hearts that will lead you to such union with God!

I am the Immaculate Heart. I am your loving mother. I am here with you this moment. Take my hand and let me lead you to such union with God!

I am your Mother and I thank you for responding to my call.

September 2, 1994 After Communion

R. Such emotion I feel, looking at Mary's statues. I can hardly take it in. I feel so close to Christ in my heart and have an intense longing for Him. I felt a burning in my chest, wanting more. I felt such sorrow around Mary, I couldn't bear to look at the statue and wanted to cry.

Mary: My little girl, I am Mary, your beloved mother. As I have told you, you will suffer. My Heart is so sad for all those who do not know the love of my Son. You know some of His intense love for all the beloved souls. I give you some of my emotions to allow you to experience my suffering, to know all those who reject the love of my precious Son. Sweet child of mine, you know how He loves all. I tell you to pray, pray for each other.

Promote the rosary. I am showing you how to make the rosary alive in your life. The rosary is such a powerful prayer against Satan. Satan is running rampant. He will be squelched by the praying of the rosary. Promote the rosary. I appear to you as the Lady of Light. My rosary will light up the world! I am the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Who will hear if you are not speaking? Constantly be about the work of promoting Our Two Hearts and praying the rosary. I show myself to you to comfort you and to lead others to my rosary. I am sorrowful to know the hearts of men. They have turned so cold, when Jesus has a burning fire waiting to warm them.

December 24, 1994

Mary: Your union with My Son and the Father and the Holy Spirit will deepen as your understanding of the union between myself and Jesus grows. From this day forward you will be closely united to me, your mother, and closely united to Jesus through the rosary. I want you to lead the rosary always. Always dim the lights and use candles. I will be there and Jesus will be there whenever you pray the rosary. We will be with you in a very special way. Your job is to promote the rosary. When you pray the rosary, tell them about my letters to them, centered around my Son in the Eucharist.

Excerpt from "About the Windows"

The windows are very important to this plan of the Father. He wants people to go from window to window and pray at each window the mysteries of the rosary.

The Annunciation is across from the Assumption. We see the plan of the Father unfold in the life of Mary from the greeting of the angel Gabriel until she is taken up, body and soul, into heaven.

Do we not see that this is the same plan of the Father unfolding in our life? We struggle, we are joyful, we do ordinary things. We sometimes feel as if we are carrying a cross and falling to the ground. We are persecuted and we feel we are being crowned with thorns, but there is always the resurrection when we experience His life deeper and deeper and we know He lives.

The windows show the lives of Jesus and Mary. As we walk from window to window we watch our spiritual life unfold in Him. Each window and its location are part of the Father's Plan. He wants people to pray the rosary and walk, as Christ walked, and live His life in our life.

The Annunciation is opposite the Assumption and so the Father's plan unfolds in our lives from our conception in our mother's womb to our death when we too, hopefully, will be taken into heaven.

We see the Visitation. Mary goes to share the good news with one person, her cousin Elizabeth.

The window opposite shows the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles. The Apostles are sent out to share the good news to the world. We are His modern-day apostles, sharing the good news, the message of His love and His life to the world. We too are sent by the Holy Spirit and Mary our Mother is forever with us.

We see Jesus, the little Shepherd, born, surrounded by little sheep. Even as a little child, He is the Chief Shepherd of the Flock.

Across from this window is the Ascension into Heaven. We see Jesus going into heaven and leaving His shepherds behind to carry out His work. He came to show us the way. He came as a baby to give love and He ascends into heaven, leaving us to give His love to others.

We see the Presentation in the Temple. Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, His mother: 'Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed- and a sword will pierce your soul too.' (Lk 2:34-35). This window is opposite the Resurrection. Once we encounter Christ we are never the same. We can choose life or death.

The Resurrection window is right next to the Crucifixion. I love these two windows. I see Jesus, battered and bruised, bloodied and dead for love of me and I see Him at the next window, radiant and glistening in glory, victorious. Oh, how I love these two windows! Our whole life, a constant dying and rising in Him.

We see the joy of young Mary as she brings her Son to present Him to the Father. The news of Simeon is a sword in her heart. He tells her of the sufferings to come. We see the death and resurrection in the windows across the Chapel. We see a baby-in-arms. We know the prophesy given; the prophesy is fulfilled. We see the crucified and resurrected Christ in the windows opposite the Presentation.

We see the Child Jesus in the temple. We know of the separation between Jesus and Mary. Across from this window we see the Crucifixion. From the prophecy of Simeon Mary knew of the sufferings to come. She had a constant ache in her heart. Jesus and Mary both shared this secret deep in their hearts. Her heart was so joined to His from the first moment of conception. This separation between Jesus and Mary was a foreshadowing of the separation to come. We see the loss of the Child Jesus in the temple and the window opposite is that separation between Jesus and Mary by His death on the cross. Next to His death is the Resurrection. He was lost for three days in the temple, He was locked in the tomb for three days, but He rose on the third day.

Mary's heart is so closely connected to the Heart of Christ. His Heart was formed in her body through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is through this pierced heart the life in the Church flows.  Mary gave Him His life through her body. He gives us His Divine Life through this Heart, formed in her body. Divine Life flows from the Father, in the Holy Spirit, through the pierced Heart of Jesus, through Mary's heart to us.

If we walk these windows we see the close connection between Jesus and Mary. His Heart is within her body for the first two mysteries. Although she is a separate body, when He is born, He receives His food from Mary's breast. In the fourth window, she is still providing Him with His food.

It is through Mary we receive His life.

In the back of the Chapel are the Sorrowful Mysteries. It is through His immense suffering that we realize more fully His overwhelming love for us. In His Divine Knowing, He knew all the anguish and suffering that He would undergo. Because of His great love for us He accepted the Will of the Father and suffered immense torture to His death on the cross. It is a great experience to view all five mysteries together for we see His willingness to suffer for love of us.

In praying the rosary, all through our walk we are seeing the compliance of Jesus and Mary to the Will of the Father. He is bound in a baby body. He is tied at the pillar. He is nailed on a cross. He always complied to the Father's Will.

We see how Mary complies to the Will of the Father. She says "yes" in every window. She says "yes" to the angel. She says "yes" to His birth. He was born in such poverty. She says "yes" to the prophecy of Simeon, carrying the great suffering within her pure heart. She says "yes" when she stands beneath the cross and watches Jesus die. She says "yes" at the Resurrection, at the Ascension, and at the Descent of the Holy Spirit. Her reward is that she is taken into heaven, body and soul, and in the final window, which is separate, she is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth.

Oh, the beatific vision when we are wrapped with Love itself, we will exist completely in Him, when there is no time, no fear. Oh, the glory that awaits us for serving the Lord, we will be united with God Himself and completely satisfied! In praying the rosary, His life lives in our life. He no longer walks the earth; He lives in us. As we walk, as we talk, as we love, we carry Christ alive within us in this world today. Mary carried the Child Jesus in her womb. We carry His life within us. Oh, that we would walk as He wills us to walk!

The Incarnation goes on. We are constantly being formed within the womb of Mary through the Holy Spirit to be more and more like Christ. This is our spiritual journey to our glory!

The first ten windows show Jesus and Mary as they walked the earth. His divinity is hidden all through His Passion, but the glory shines forth in the Glorious Mysteries. Christ rises from the dead and ascends into heaven. The Holy Spirit comes and sends His apostles out with the good news. Mary is taken into heaven and crowned Queen.

We walk the earth. We do not see the glory. Heaven and hell are realities. I cry when I meditate on the Resurrection. No matter how hard it seems here, I know that He is risen. He is alive and the victory is won.

Mary appeared almost every day for fourteen months at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center. God has chosen Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center as a special place. It is Mary's house. Divinity has contacted man there with these revelations. Many of my experiences, visions and messages were received there. God's Blue Books and Rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary are important messages from God to help bring about the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Jesus and Mary wish all to pray and walk the rosary in the Rosary Chapel.

Jesus is using the Shepherds of Christ Movement in a powerful way to renew the Church and the world. This chosen instrument of Our Lord will greatly bring about the completion of the Fatima message. He has called His special apostles in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, under the direction of Fr. Edward Carter, S.J., spiritual director and founder of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, to go into the churches, schools and families to spread the consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Available are all of the materials that He has given to help bring about this renewal. By contacting Shepherds of Christ Ministries, you can receive information that will help you to carry out their request. Jesus is encouraging His special apostles to contact priests and ask them if they are receiving the priestly newsletter Shepherds of Christ. He is asking His apostles to set up prayer chapters, centered in consecration, in churches, schools, meeting places and homes. It is in consecration that we will comply with Our Lady's request made at Fatima.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary triumph!

Mary said until a sufficient number have consecrated their hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we will not have peace in the world. She now appears to me as Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. She appeared first as Our Lady of Light, then as Our Lady of Sorrows, and lastly, as Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. It is through Shepherds of Christ Ministries that we are complying to Our Lady's request and spreading the Consecration to the Two Hearts and the Rosary to the world. On the feast of the Sorrowful Mother, September l5, l995, Mary told me that I would continue to suffer until I spread the Rosary to the world.

From these teachings, I love the Rosary with all my heart. I hope that these meditations and messages from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary will lead you to the deepest union with Their Hearts. I love you and ask you to follow Our Lady's request and pray the Rosary and to help spread the Rosary to the world. Our Lady told St. Dominic that the Rosary and the Scapular will be great instruments in the salvation of the world. Please write to Shepherds of Christ Ministries and help Jesus and Mary, for the time is urgent.

Live Our Lives In The Rosary. Experience Our Sufferings.

Mary speaks:  My anguish I felt to watch them persecute my beloved Jesus! He Whom I loved so dearly, my own, very own Child and they stripped Him, beat Him, hated Him, tore His tender beautiful flesh, everything that they did,...

This was my beloved Son. My Heart was torn in my chest, my sorrow so great! No yelling or other human expressions could capture the torments of my Heart.

My little Baby, to watch such brutality DONE to my precious Child.

Do you know the torments of the heart?

Do you know the pain to behold such vileness done to your own child?

Pain in the heart, I know, I know His love for you, my dear children. I know what He suffered for you. Put yourself there during the Passion. Meditate on His suffering for love of you. Meditate on His love. This is love, to suffer as He did for you. It is so simple, He loved you to His very own death. This is what He would give for you this very day, my little ones. Go to Him and be alone with Him. Turn to Him, love Him. He waits for your love. Praise this good God Who loves you so much to shed His very own Blood for you. Oh children, be present to Him. Live His life, pray the rosary, meditate on His sufferings for you. This will draw you close to Our Hearts. Live Our lives in the rosary. Experience Our sufferings.

Love one another, do not give in to Satan. You cannot accomplish my Son’s tasks if you do not put your differences aside. You must love each other.

Go to Him in the Eucharist. Give your whole hearts to Him. Consecrate yourselves to Us. We will be ever with you, guiding your every step. I am the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I love you as the most loving Mother. Come and find refuge in Our Hearts. We will protect you from the scorching sun. We will hold tight to you and you will never lose your peace.

Jesus speaks: Oh My child, peace I give to you, not as the world gives you peace, but as only I can give you peace. Come and let me hold you in My Heart, deeply placed there by My loving Mother. You will find your joy inside of My Heart.

I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I want to be united to you, My little babies. Become as the baby at the breast, total submission, total trust, total yielding to Our ways. Yield to Me. My time is perfect. My ways are set. Yield to Me and I will handle your cares. I love you My sweet ones. Yield. Pray constantly, consecrate yourselves to My Heart and My Mother’s Heart. Let go.

Be united to the one, true God, for He is truly present and lives in your hearts.

The Rosary

Messenger: The rosary tells us much about Christ and Mary.

How can I be Christ-like if I do not meditate on His Life? My life is to be a model after Christ's life. How can I model myself after how He loved if I am not intimately involved in a love relationship with Him?

Christ shows us the way. Jesus went through His Passion and death for our salvation and for love of us.

The more I meditate on the rosary, the more I see the oneness of Christ and His Mother. They are one in Their Hearts. They shared each Other's pains, sorrows, joys, suffering. They were so connected to each Other.

This is shown all through the Passion, her sorrows, presentation in the temple, finding in the temple, her journey into Egypt, her watching during the scourging, her journey during the Passion when Their eyes met, (this alone could be meditated on to tell Their union and suffering) putting the nails in His hands, standing under the cross, beholding His lifeless Body under the cross, and after His death, laying Him in the tomb.

Their Hearts beat as one, as she suffered so silently with Him, always by His side. No mother was ever so connected with her Son.

Sorrow increases intimacy. When I suffer and give it to Christ, I am admitting how much He is truly a Person I depend on. I want to depend on Him, to be so intimate that it is He to Whom I run when my heart is torn.

He loves us so, He knows our every thought and feeling. He loves us with such attentiveness and care, and He waits for us to run to His arms and share ourselves with Him.

He longs for our love, He longs for our time. He wants us to go to Him as our best Friend, a real Person, but what a Person and what He can do for us!

You are my Savior Lord, You saved me from my sins by Your brutal death. You give me life in Your Resurrection. I am born into Your life in Baptism and You live in my heart. God lives within me. Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell within my breast in a most special way when I am in the state of grace. Mary is one with Jesus.

Oh, God, I love You so. I want to know You and love You and serve You.

Spirit, open me to know my precious Lord. I am Yours to possess and I live to do Your holy will.

Father, fashion me, mold me more into the image of Jesus, Your precious Son. "...yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me...(Ga 2:20). I want to be one in You, so that You live and dwell in my heart.

Meditating on the rosary is meditating on much of Christ's Life. How can I be molded more into His image  if I do not meditate on Him and His Life?

The First Commandment commands that I love God above all things. What is love? Is it lip service or is it a fire that burns within the soul?

May my love of God be this flame that burns for love of each Person in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and for Mary also. May I grow in intimacy with each Person and Mary, and may Joseph be close by her side as he stood close to Jesus and guarded Him.

My Mother

Messenger: My mother died when I was five and I missed her all throughout my life. I will now be 48 in a couple of weeks, the age she was when she died. My birthday present was and is the gift I received from her: her old, worn prayer book. The pages torn and yellow where she wore them out from her prayers. She prayed so much they were all torn. I have her crucifix from her rosary, which has her name, Alice, attached to it. I received her prayer book and the cross from the rosary.

Nothing is an accident. She gave me the greatest gift of all, she gave me my life at birth and I have her prayer book and crucifix from her rosary as her love for me. This is one of the most precious gifts a child could ever have - her mother's prayers! Early on she shared with me her deep love of God.

I want to lead others to meditate on Jesus' life - His life at birth and Mary's life, lived in the rosary. From the youthful face to the old woman she became, from her joy to her deep sorrow. I see Mary's face alive in the statues. A parade of faces, all the emotions of the heart, for us, relived in every rosary! This is our call: to be likened to Christ. I must meditate on Christ and His life. This will help me grow in my love relationship with Jesus and Mary in the rosary. I love the rosary because it is their lives. His life was given for love of us. He gives Himself to us this day in the Eucharist. We must live their lives to put on Christ. A Christian is one who acts like Christ. They will know we are Christians by our love. To love like Christ, we must meditate on His life with Mary.

I am called by Mary to lead others to the love of her precious Son. When I live as Christ and Mary did, then I will preach the gospel in my life. Do I act like Christ? Look at our lives and see if we are acting like Him today. Study Him in the rosary. Learn about His love, poured out for us in the Eucharist. Sit with Him in front of the tabernacle and pray the rosary, slowly, from the heart, and meditate on His life and the life of His Mother.

Sit alone with Him and learn of His love for us, this day. Be silent in front of the tabernacle. He will speak in the silence. We are given such gifts of His love. We should live Jesus' and Mary's lives in the rosary!

I Receive the Same Jesus That Died for Us

Messenger: ...My heart pants for love of God. He is truly God. Mary is so close to Him. I feel her union when I say His name.

The more I pray the rosary, the more I see them so united. To be united to Jesus is to be united to Mary.

This, I feel so intensely in my heart. I can’t even put it on paper. I love her so much that when I get near her statue I cry.

She is truly calling us to her Son. To pray the rosary is to unite in a special way with Them. The rosary lives in my day, the mysteries of Their lives are in my thoughts. It is so wonderful to be united to Them in my life. I love Them so much.

They are truly with us. Realizing this presence is drawing me ever closer to Them. I run to Them when I want to cry or express my joy, They are so real to me. They never ever leave. They love us so much. I love Them so much, my pen is unable to write even a minute amount of my heartfelt feelings.

The Oneness Between Mary and Jesus

Messenger: I see her hold His lifeless Body under the cross. I see her tenderness, holding Him as a Baby. I see their oneness in the peering eyes. I see her with the sword in her Heart, pierced because of the sufferings of her Son. I see her giving birth to her beautiful Baby.

I see her sorrowful face, her beautiful face, her old face, her young face; all reflections of her life and His life, joined in joy, joined in suffering, joined - Mother and Son - all through Their lives, during the Passion, now joined in heaven. They want to draw us to eternal salvation.

A loving Mother, truly by our sides, waiting to listen to our problems, and Jesus forever with her.

She stands under the cross and places our burdens there with us as we, hand-in-hand with our loving Mother, give up our frustrations, our crosses to Him, our loving Savior.

This is life, to be fixed so closely united with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, all day surrendering ourselves to Their loving Hearts.

This is warmth and security to me. I realize so very much Their presence. This is the reality of this world. It is God’s world. We dwell here in the hope of achieving everlasting life. Jesus Christ is truly present this day in the Eucharist, no less than the day He walked this earth.

Mary is so closely united to her Son. To love Jesus is to love Mary, to love Mary is to love Jesus.

Mary, help me to love your beloved Son.

Jesus, help me to love Your beloved Mother.

Mary is always leading me to the love of her precious Son. All the meditations on the rosary about Mary lead me to Him. She is our spiritual Mother. To think of His being formed in her womb is so beautiful. I ask Mary to form me in her womb so I can be more closely united to her Son. For nine months He was formed in the womb of His loving Mother. For my lifetime, I am forever formed in her womb to deepen my union with Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Father.

The protection and security, to be surrounded by Mary’s womb, is so beautiful. She delivers us up to union with her precious Son.

The more I meditate on Their lives in the rosary (I really meditate on each bead), these beautiful mysteries of Their lives, the more I am so closely joined to the union of Mary’s Heart and Jesus’ Heart. This is my refuge. This is our life, to be joined so intimately to Their Hearts!

She draws me to her and draws me to praying the rosary, like steel to a magnet. I get such comfort sharing Their lives. It is there I realize so much Their reality. They are truly here, this very day -- we are not ever alone!  I am united to Their lives. This comfort exists all through the day, for They are with me.

I pray in front of the big statue of Mary and she is alive to me.

My Sufferings Were For You, Child

Mary speaks: My suffering was so deep, only by God's grace could a human person experience such suffering.

There were not wounds, there was no blood, there was, my Child, only the experiences of my Heart. My Heart was pierced so deeply with a sword. Such deep pain, a sword piercing would not describe the pain I had. Do you wonder how deep did the sword pierce my Heart? The depth was incomprehensible. My life was lived in such connectedness with my Son, in such intimacy with Him. I watched my beloved Son, to Whom I was so closely united for 33 years, suffer so dishonorably.

My sufferings were for you, child. I love you as no earthly mother ever loved a child. I am your most loving Mother. If I underwent such suffering for you, do you think I would not be protecting and loving you now? I have not gone. I am with you!

If I could only tell you what I saw: my Son suffering for love of you. If I could let you see through my eyes what He suffered for love of you!

If you meditate on His Passion in the rosary and the Stations, you see His immense love. I will help you to see His love more and more through my eyes.

I appear to tell all of this suffering. This is the key to understanding how much you are loved. Think of what I saw, look through my eyes, hold His lifeless Body under the cross, meditate on the Seven Sorrows that I hold deep in my Heart. It is there you will know His immense love. Look at my Son through a mother's eyes. Look at Him as He dragged the heavy cross on His way to the Crucifixion. Stand by and watch them pull His hair and drag Him away, and beat His precious bare Body. Stand with me, little ones, as I walked with Him and look through my eyes. You will realize more His great love for you.

Go to Him, love Him, He is in the Eucharist this day. He longs, longs for your individual love. He is your lover, on FIRE for love of you. I love you so much.

    I am Mary, your Mother.

When I Received The Blows I Thought Of You

Messenger: What did You do, Lord, while they whipped You? What did You do when You knew the next horrifying blow would come?

Jesus speaks: I thought of My love for you. I suffered such anguish, but to know one day you would sit and be with Me in this Church, I loved you so much, I thought of you. With each blow, child, I knew how you would eagerly want to be with Me because you love Me so. I knew you would wait so anxiously to be united with Me in the Eucharist. When I received the blows I thought of you and your love. I knew constantly the love of the Father. I knew this love as I was scourged. This love that exists between the Father and Myself gave Me the strength to withstand the torture. His grace and love is being outpoured to you at every moment. Be forever attentive to such love, constantly within you. The more focused you are on Our Presence, the more you will be one in God!

Mary speaks: The young Life of Jesus grew in my womb. I felt Him as He grew and knew He was God. I felt Him inside of me. I felt Him move in my body. I knew His Life as it grew within me. I loved Him so before His birth from His presence within me. He, child, is alive in your heart. He is present in His Divinity. You are His temple. He loves you so much He chose to live in you. Do you carry this life with such awareness? His presence is forever in your heart. Who are you that the Son of God enters your heart after Communion, that He Who is no less present than the day I carried Him in my womb, enters you in the Holy Eucharist and dwells within your body?

Do you realize what honor is bestowed on you to receive the Son of God inside of you? He is alive. He dwells within you constantly in His Divinity. He is within your heart when you are in the state of grace. Child, He is no less present to you after Communion than when He was inside of me. He comes to you in His Divinity and Humanity, under the appearance of bread and wine.

Oh divine creation of the Father, open your eyes and look at the honor bestowed on you this very day. Today He comes to you with such love in the Eucharist. Shout it from the rooftop, "Jesus is Lord, and He has died and He has risen!" He is alive this day, and He comes to you and dwells in your hearts in the Eucharist in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.

Her Face Tells The Story Of The Horror She Saw

Messenger:  Mary, so young and beautiful, her beautiful young face, her bright eyes. She looks so tenderly at the Baby Son and His beautiful eyes.

Her face, her horror, her sorrow, looking down at the lifeless Body of her Son. Her face tells the story of the horror she saw. Once a Baby, bright and beautiful, His Body now bloodied, her beloved Child dead in her arms.

His side a bloody mess where He was lanced. His hands were pierced.   His feet were pierced. The nails and the crown, now removed. All that remains are holes and punctures. Her precious eyes behold this sight, the dead Body of her Baby.

I keep seeing the faces, the face I saw on the statue, the joyful face, the young face, the sorrowful face that looked as if it would crack, all glistening and aglow to accent the event.

Do we listen? Do we see? Do we feel? Do we know that Jesus is still pouring out His love this very day? This is the same Mother at our side. This is the same Jesus I just received in the Eucharist. He gave Himself then, He gives Himself now to me, in Holy Communion!

When will I let myself feel His true Life within me? When will I hear His plaintive cries that He loves us so much to have died for us? When will my heart be open to this reality? Life is a fleeting moment and the reality is that this same Jesus enters my soul in such love this day!

Do I hear Him? I, who hear His words, take so lightly this tremendous love. Do words even exist to describe this love? Is "tremendous" a word that sums up the love He has?

He says He is a furnace burning for love of us. These are words. These are not sufficient to explain His love. He shows me, in the face of Mary, the reality. He has truly given His very own flesh, His very own Blood. He was human. He gave Himself. He gives Himself to us this day.

I hear His pleading cries after Communion, "I give you Myself. Tell them, tell them."

And they run, they run to do useless tasks and He is still in their bodies.

I Am Sorrowful To Know The Hearts Of Men

Messenger: Such emotion I feel, looking at Mary's statues. I can hardly take it in. I feel so close to Christ in my heart and have an intense longing for Him. I felt a burning in my chest, wanting more. I felt such sorrow around Mary, I couldn't bear to look at the statue and wanted to cry.

Mary speaks: My little girl, I am Mary, your beloved mother.

Jesus speaks: I am Jesus. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. My Heart burns for love of My beloved children. It is through My Mother's Heart and My Heart that so many will turn their cold hearts and lukewarm hearts to hearts ablaze with the fire of My love.

Promote My Heart through My Mother's Heart. You will continue to experience such emotions! My Mother is so closely united to Me! To know her is to know her suffering for the sinners that will be lost in eternal damnation. She appears to you in such light! You must preach the contents of these letters. Your words will be a light to the dark world. I speak through you. You are delivering My messages to those I love. Your tongue should forever declare My intense, burning love for all. This world will shine with the love of My Sacred Heart. These words will illuminate their hearts. You hold words given to My loved ones from Me. Do not take this job lightly. You need to get my messages out. Souls will be lost forever because they did not know My burning love. This is the medicine for the sick world. They need these messages.

I am Jesus. I speak here to the world. These are My intense love letters to all. They need to hear these words. They are given from Me to each precious soul. This is an urgent message. Time is so short! You will know soon that the time delayed will hurt many souls.

Souls will not know of My love. They need these messages. I speak so tenderly to My beloved ones here! Please, I beg you to spread these words to My hurting children.

Mary is appearing as a Lady of Light. These letters will light men's hearts with My intense love for them. The world will shine with My love. Circulate the messages. This is an urgent message.

I Cry For The Souls

Messenger: Notes: When the Host was raised, I kept hearing with emotion the song, "This is My Body". He was talking about passion before Mass. I heard, "This is My Blood". This triggered all His explanations of how He gave His very Flesh and Blood for us.

I wanted to cry. Tears came down. I was filled with immense emotion, couldn't look at Mary's statue. I love Him so much. I am aware of all the souls that will be lost because they do not know His love. I know it so well. I can't speak.

The world stands still and it is so clear to me about the existence of the other side. It is as if I am not here. I know His love so much. He is so much ONE with me. I want to help others to know this love!

He died so they would go to heaven and what do I do to tell others of this love?

I love Him so much and I love all others because they are one in Him and I want to spread His love.

My heart is torn apart in my chest for souls that I know will be lost because they did not know Him and He wants to love them so much. He loves them so much that He gave His Flesh and Blood for them.

I cry for the souls that are on the way to hell if they do not change. I cry for the senseless ones. I cry for my beloved brothers whom I love so deeply.

Crying is no way to release agonies of the heart. That is why He sweat Blood. That is why Mary appears crying blood, her face cracked.

This is reality. This is the world. These are His beloved ones. God, the Father, loves them so dearly. Jesus died for them. The Holy Spirit loves them so. Mary is by their sides and with all this, they will be lost forever to hell if they do not change.

Prayer is the answer. No drop of water will ever quench their thirst if they go to hell. Our prayers are our love for our brothers.

Mary speaks: My children, my Heart was pierced with a sword to watch my beloved Son suffer so for love of you. Pray the rosary for our beloved brothers. Sacrifice, offer your days in union with the Mass for their souls. Time is so short, my beloved ones. Pray, pray, pray. Your prayers can help save the lives of your brothers. Time is short. I am Mary, your Mother and thank you for responding to my call.

Mary With All Her Memories

Messenger: The connection between Mary and Jesus is so strong. To understand Jesus' life, I can see it much clearer through Mary. She raised Him from a Baby and showed Him her gentle ways. She guided Him in all the ways a mother guides her child.

Mary and Jesus are so closely united. She held Him as a Baby, she saw Him all through His Life and suffered so when she received His lifeless Body under the cross. She knew that He was dead. What an experience to feel the Life gone from His Body! They locked Him in the tomb and she stayed close by, not wanting to leave Him.

Now, Mary with all her memories, all her love, in her most tender Heart that lived all the moments of Jesus' life, beholds Him alive after the Resurrection! Such joy for her to see her most beloved Son in such splendor and life!

Jesus is Life. Once again, Mary through her tender Heart, the Heart that lived His Life with Him, the Heart overjoyed while she felt Him grow in her body, the Heart that held Him as a Child, that peered into the Baby eyes of the Son of God, the Heart that was torn in her chest by the seven sorrows of her life, now beholds Jesus, truly alive and full of such brilliance!

Oh, Mary, let us experience Jesus through your Heart. His joys, His sufferings. Let us know your Son more. Help us to love Him through your Heart, to see Him through your eyes. From the first moment of conception until He ascended into heaven, let us experience Jesus through your Heart. As the Child Jesus was formed in your womb, as you guided His little Life through your gentleness and love, guide us to be more and more like your Son.

He Gave That You Might Live

Mary speaks: Oh, my beloved children, if you could see what I saw. If you could see my Son's Life. You can experience His Life in your heart. Pray to be led by the Spirit to know and love God more. I am your loving Mother. Through my Heart I lead you to the Heart of my dearest Son. The Spirit will give you His gifts to lead you closer and closer to the love of God. It is through Jesus you are led to the Father. I am your Mother and I forever take you to the gentle Heart of my Son.

My Son loves you so much. I saw my Son born. I saw Him die and I saw Him rise for your life eternal. Do not throw away this great gift, the gift of Himself. He gave that you might live.

It is in your commitment to my Son, it is in your love and service to Him that you will inherit the Kingdom prepared for you.

I saw Him as a Baby, I watched Him as a Child and I saw Him suffer so for love of you. He gave His Life that you would have life.

Mary’s Heart

Messenger: It is through Mary's Heart I know the Heart of Jesus more. She carried Him in her womb. She took Him to the temple. She fled with Him into Egypt. She lost Him for a brief time. She cared for Him all through His young Life. She watched Him heal the sick and preach the love of God. She watched the gentle ways of God. She knew His joy and suffering. She knew His Heart. She walked next to Him on Calvary and peered into His eyes. She stood under His cross and watched Him die. She held His lifeless Body. She cried outside of His tomb and she saw His beautiful Body after the Resurrection. She saw Him ascend into heaven.

How well does the Heart of Mary know and love the Heart of Jesus! She is closer to Him than is any other human person. The Father and Holy Spirit are one with Him. It is through this knowing of His most tender Heart that she wants to place us so tenderly into Jesus' Heart. She, who knows His Heart so well, she who is without sin., she who is close to Him, she who loved Jesus and knew Him so dearly, she is the way to reach the deepest part of His Heart. She is the door to Jesus. It is through her Heart that I am most closely united in deepest love with my Jesus.

Mary knows the Father's love. It was He Who created her sinless and chose her to be the Mother of His Son. She knew well the love of her Spouse, the Holy Spirit. She was filled with the Holy Spirit when Jesus was conceived. She was filled with the Holy Spirit at Elizabeth's house. She was filled all through her life. She was filled on Pentecost. She knew the love of the Holy Spirit. She is the human person closest to God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is through her most knowing and loving Heart that we will reach the deepest intimacy with God.

Prayer: Mary, through your Immaculate Heart, place us in the deepest part of Jesus' Heart so we can more deeply love Him. It is through your Heart and Jesus' Heart we want to have a deeper union with the Father.

Dear Holy Spirit, impart to us Your gifts to lead us to such love, to union with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Lead us in Your ways to know God and love Him more fully. Give us all Your seven gifts: Wisdom, Knowledge, Piety, Fear of the Lord, Understanding, Fortitude, Counsel. Lead us to greater union with God. Impart to us the fire of Your love. Where we were once blind, let us see. Fill us with Your love, Oh, Holy Spirit, through Mary's Immaculate Heart, we pray. Amen.

Excerpts from Tell My People

Messages from Jesus and Mary

as given to Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

Mary Our Mother

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to come to My Mother. From the cross, as I was suffering indescribable agony, I gave Mary as spiritual Mother to the world. My great love for My people prompted Me to do this. I am Lord and Master, and I want My people to come to My Mother and their Mother. If you wish to be close to Me, come to Mary. Consecrate yourselves to her. In this way you will grow into the closest union with Me. Through her Immaculate Heart, you will be drawn more and more into My own Heart. It is My desire that you allow My Mother to place you within My Heart which loves you with an unfathomable love! This is My wish—that you come to Me enfolded by Mary's mantle, cradled in her arms, pressed against her Heart."

Reflection: It is God's will that we approach Jesus in union with Mary. Enough said!

The Riches of the Immaculate Heart

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, how often I have pressed you to my maternal and Immaculate Heart in the greatest love! How often I allow you to taste the sweetness of this Heart. How often I make you aware that my Heart is your refuge where you feel so much loved, where you feel so secure, where you feel bathed in peace! I desire that you tell all the people about the riches contained in my Immaculate Heart. Tell my people to come to my Heart each day. I will caress them with my maternal love. I will lead them ever closer to the Sacred Heart of my Son. I will tell them to listen to Jesus. I will remind them that He is their Lord and Master. I will remind them to do whatever He tells them to do.

"Yes, my dearly beloved son, tell my people all these things. Keep reminding them of my great love for them. Keep reminding them how I love to draw them to my maternal and Immaculate Heart!"

Reflection: Is there anyone who, listening to these words of Mary, does not long for a closer union with the loving Heart of our Mother?

The Tears and Sorrows of Mary

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, I have given you a great devotion to my sorrows and tears. Tell my people about this devotion. Tell them I promise great blessings to all who say seven Hail Marys each day in honor of my tears and seven sorrows. Included in my promise is that of granting special assistance at the hour of death. At this moment, all who practice this devotion will see my face."

Reflection: Listed below are the seven sorrows of Mary. Let us each day recall these sorrows as we pray the seven Hail Marys as Our Lady requests.

  1. The prophecy of Simeon.
  2. The Flight into Egypt.
  3. The loss of Jesus in the Temple.
  4. Jesus and Mary meet during the way of the cross.
  5. Mary witnesses the crucifixion of her Son.
  6. Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in Mary's arms.
  7. The burial of Jesus.

Children of Mary

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, how often I have embraced you! How often I have told you how much I love you! How often, at your request, I have held you in my arms as my child. You have told me you realize how helpless you are of yourself, but how strong and secure you feel dwelling in my heart and Jesus' Heart. Your sense of your littleness and helplessness endears you to me all the more. I take you ever more securely to my maternal and Immaculate Heart. Tell all my people of the riches you have found within my heart. Tell them how I place you within my Son's Heart. Tell them that, because of my motherly action, you are now more closely united with Jesus than ever before. Tell my people to come to my heart and draw forth similar riches. Tell all my little ones that Jesus, Who is Lord and Master, bids me to lead all to His Sacred Heart. The more my little ones dwell within my Immaculate Heart, the more I place them within Jesus' Heart. Oh, how I love all my little ones! How I love to bring them to the Heart of Jesus!"

Reflection: Again, let us remind ourselves that we live in the Age of the Two Hearts. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are inseparable. The more we dwell in Mary's heart, the more she places us within Jesus' Heart. Within these Two Hearts, the Holy Spirit fashions us more and more in the likeness of Christ, and the more we become like Christ, the more closely He unites us to the Father.

Mary, Model and Teacher of Love

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, I have led you to greatly increase your prayers and sacrifices for others. I have often reminded you of my teaching at Fatima—that many souls go to Hell because they have no one to pray and make sacrifices for them. My Immaculate Heart longs that all my little ones be saved. Tell my little ones that they must love their neighbor through prayer, sacrifices, and other ways, too. All should learn from me. My Heart is symbol, not only of my great love for God, but also of my tender love for all my little ones. Imitate my love for God and all my children. If you love Jesus and me, this means you also love all of God's children. Jesus died for all. You cannot exclude anyone from your love.

"My Heart is the perfect imitator of the Heart of my Son. I will teach you how to love the Father and all mankind after the example of Jesus. All my little ones, I long for you to come to my Heart so I can teach you the ways of love! I love you so much! Come to my Immaculate Heart. Pressed against my Heart, I will hold you in my arms. I will clothe you with my motherly and protective mantle. As I hold you close to my Heart, I will teach you the ways of love!"

Reflection: In the above message, our dear mother tenderly reminds us that the following of Jesus is summed up in love of God and neighbor.

Mary as Our Mediatrix

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, I have given you a profound conviction of how necessary it is to realize I am your motherly mediatrix with Jesus. I have been appointed by the Triune God. Constantly remind all my little ones of this great truth! The more my little ones give themselves to my maternal and Immaculate Heart, the more I bring them to the Heart of Jesus!"

Reflection: Some mistakenly think that Mary "gets in the way" of their relationship with Jesus. How far from the truth is this erroneous attitude. Mary's role in our salvation has been willed by God. Enough said!

Come to Our Hearts

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, how I love you! You give me such great joy because you love to dwell in my Immaculate Heart. In my great love for you, I have obtained this grace for you—that you love to dwell in my Heart! In my Heart, I caress you as a little child. I shower you with expressions of my motherly love. I take you each day to the Heart of Jesus and place you deeply within His Heart. How you love for me to do this, and how I love to do it! Tell all my little ones of the riches you have discovered in my Heart and Jesus' Heart. Tell them to come to Our Hearts in order to experience similar riches. Oh, how I love all my little ones, and how I long for them to come to me!"

Reflection: Again, we are reminded that we live in the age of the Two Hearts. Great graces are given to those who practice devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. These Two Hearts are given to us as our special refuge during this most critical stage of human history.

Spiritual Childhood

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, how I love to enfold you in my arms as my little child! Enfolded in my arms in my maternal embrace, I press you against my Immaculate Heart. I draw you within my Heart. There, through my maternal intercession, I clothe you with Jesus' graces. As you dwell in my Heart, I place you ever more deeply within Jesus' Heart and there the Holy Spirit fashions you increasingly in the image of my Son. As you grow in the likeness of Jesus, He takes you ever closer to the Father.

"Thus, as you grow in the sense of your helplessness without God, the stronger you become in Jesus. Childlike thus becomes strength. The smaller you become in living out spiritual childhood, the taller you stand beside Jesus. Weakness becomes strength, your sense of helplessness becomes spiritual maturity!

"Tell all my children about the wonders of spiritual childhood! Tell them to come to me and I will school them in its ways. How I love all my children! Oh, how I love to exercise my motherhood toward them all!"

Reflection: In the Gospel, Jesus speaks emphatically to us about spiritual childhood: "At this time the disciples came to Jesus and said, 'Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' So he called a little child to him and set the child in front of them. Then he said, 'I tell you solemnly, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. And so, the one who makes himself as little as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven'" (Matthew 18:1-4).

Pray, Pray, Pray!

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, I have taught you many times the great importance of prayer. I have obtained for you the gift to love to pray—not only during your set periods of prayer, but also during the day in a manner which permits you to perform your daily duties. I have taught you to always be aware that all prayer should be made in union with the Mass. Indeed, the Eucharistic sacrifice is itself the greatest prayer. All other prayers should be consciously united with the Mass which is constantly being offered throughout the world. I have taught you the great importance of praying before the tabernacle. My Son is really present there in the Eucharist—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Special graces are given to those who pray before the Blessed Sacrament.

"There is so much to pray for in this most critical era! The Church and the world exist in most difficult times. I desire that all my children pray daily for all the needs of the Church and the world. I ask special prayers for the conversion of sinners.

"I ask that my children pray the Rosary each day. Very special graces are given to those who do so. During these times of great purification, I promise special protection to those who regularly pray the Rosary. I also promise protection to their loved ones.

"The more one is united with me, the more I lead them to make their prayer in the Heart of my Son, Jesus. He, in turn, places all prayer in the bosom of the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

"My dear son, please keep reminding all my little ones of the great importance of prayer for their own needs and the needs of all others! Keep telling them of the great necessity of prayer for growth in love of God and neighbor! I love all my children with the most tender love. I desire that all listen to my words and live them in their daily lives!"

Reflection: All the great spiritual masters throughout the history of the Church have echoed the words of Mary in stressing the great necessity of prayer for growth in the spiritual life. Prayer is becoming aware in a special way of our relationship with the Triune God. In prayer we open ourselves once again to the awareness of God's great love for us. In prayer, we respond to this great love with our own love, telling God that whatever He wills for us, we want to do with all our hearts.

All prayer, in one way or another, should be centered in Christ. He is our Mediator with the Father. As our Mother tells us above, we should also include her in our prayers to Christ, Who leads us ever closer to the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

Mother of Our Christian Virtues

Mary: "My beloved priest-son, I wish all my children to come to my Immaculate Heart each day. I cooperate with the Holy Spirit in helping all my little ones to grow in the life of the Christian virtues. As my children dwell within my maternal Heart, the Holy Spirit leads them along the path of the virtues. Faith, hope, love, prudence, justice, fortitude, temperance, humility, chastity, and the other virtues take deeper root in the hearts of my children. Above all, the queen of the virtues, love, increasingly rules the lives of my little ones.

"I am ever at the side of my children to help them grow in the life of the virtues. As I do so, I place them more deeply within the Heart of Jesus, the source of growth in all the virtues. The Holy Spirit, then, desires that my children dwell both within my Heart and Jesus' Heart. Within Our Hearts He clothes you with growth in the life of the virtues. The more you dwell in my Heart, the more ready you are for my placing you deeply within the Heart of Jesus where the Holy Spirit clothes you more and more with the splendor of all the virtues. Thus you grow in the likeness of Christ, and Jesus unites you more closely to the Father."

Reflection: Since Mary is our spiritual Mother, she has a special God-given role in helping us grow in the life of the Christian virtues. As she tenderly and lovingly leads us in the life of the virtues, she is our great model in how to follow Christ. She lived the Christian virtues perfectly. She is so eager to help us increasingly put on Christ through a more dynamic living of the Christian virtues, especially the virtue of love.

Pope John Paul II on Faithfulness

The Holy Father offers us some very meaningful words on the subject of faithfulness. Faithfulness, of course, is one of the chief characteristics of love: “Virgo fidelis, the faithful Virgin. What does this faithfulness of Mary mean? What are the dimensions of this faithfulness? The first dimension is called search. Mary was faithful first of all when she began, lovingly, to seek the deep sense of God’s plan in her and for the world. ‘Quomodo fiet? How shall this be?’, she asked the Angel of the Annunciation.

“The second dimension of faithfulness is called reception, acceptance. The quomodo fiet is changed, on Mary’s lips, to a fiat, ‘Let it be done, I am ready, I accept.’ This is the moment in which man perceives that he will never completely understand the ‘how’; that there are in God’s plan more areas of mystery than of clarity; that, however he may try, he will never succeed in understanding it completely…

“The third dimension of faithfulness is consistency to live in accordance with what one believes; to adapt one’s life to the object of one’s adherence. To accept misunderstanding, persecutions, rather than a break between what one practices and what one believes; this is consistency…

“But all faithfulness must pass the most exacting test, that of duration. Therefore, the fourth dimension of faithfulness is constancy. It is easy to be consistent for a day or two. It is difficult and important to be consistent for one’s whole life. It is easy to be consistent in the hour of enthusiasm. It is difficult to be so in the hour of tribulation.”4

Mary and the Priest

Our friendship with Jesus as His priest-companions, our faithfulness to Him because we love Him, very much involves Mary. She, under God, is the Mother of our Christ-life. She cooperates with the Holy Spirit in our ongoing transformation in Christ. Fr. Arthur Calkins, a contemporary Marian scholar, offers us these words on Mary and the priest:

“If every Christian ought to see himself in the Apostle John, entrusted to Mary as her son or daughter, how much more ought priests to recognize themselves as sons of Mary, as the subjects of a ‘double’ entrustment to her. I say ‘double’, because they are successors of John by a twofold title: as disciples and as priests. This is beautifully drawn out by our Holy Father in his Holy Thursday Letter to Priests of 1988: ‘If John at the foot of the Cross somehow represents every man and woman for whom the motherhood of the Mother of God is spiritually extended, how much more does this concern each of us, who are sacramentally called to the priestly ministry of the Eucharist in the Church!’

“No doubt there are any number of priests today who would say that such reasoning represents a certain ‘snob appeal’, a ‘clerical culture’ that should have disappeared after the Council. The emphasis now, they would maintain, is on equality: we all share the common priesthood of the faithful and priestly ordination does not make us better than lay people.

“Surely, it is true that the hierarchical priesthood which is received by the imposition of the bishop’s hands is conferred on the basis of the royal priesthood which all the faithful share. It is also true that of itself priestly ordination does not make one morally better than the laity…

“But the fact is that the Sacrament of Holy Orders configures the priest more closely to Christ the Eternal Priest to the extent that his soul receives an indelible spiritual character and his very being is transformed in a way that allows him to function in persona Christi, in the very person of Christ, as he celebrates the sacraments and intercedes as a member of and on behalf of the whole Church. Hence this scriptural injunction surely holds true for the priest: ‘When much has been given a man, much will be required of him. More will be asked of a man to whom more has been entrusted’ (Lk 12:48). Saint Thomas Aquinas puts it this way: ‘Those who have been chosen for a superior position through the bestowal of Holy Orders also have been called to a similar height of holiness’ (Summa Theologica, suppl., q. 35, a. 1, ad 3)…

“Although Jesus had already entrusted every priest to his Mother from the height of the cross and the Pope has done it even hundreds of times, it is still necessary for the priest to do so himself if he would truly experience the power and the protection of the Mother of God in his life as her Divine Son intends it. Priests who have done so know the difference it makes.8

Mary and Prayer

One of the first things a good mother does is to teach her child to pray. Mary, the best of mothers, the most caring and loving of mothers, has a deep and consistent desire to help us to grow in prayer. One of her favorite forms of prayer is the rosary. She gave a remarkable set of promises regarding the rosary to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan. Included in those promises are the following:

  1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
  2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
  3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell. It will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
  4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means!
  5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.
  6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice; he shall not perish by an unprovided death. If he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
  7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
  8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces. At the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
  9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
  10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
  11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
  12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
  13. I have obtained from my Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death. (12)

Mother of Our Christ-life

Mary is the Mother of our Christ-life, this life which flows to us from the bosom of the Father, through Christ, in the Holy Spirit. Pope John Paul II beautifully links Mary's spiritual motherhood toward us with her being Mother of Christ, Mother of the Church, and Model of the Church. "Mary is present in the Church as the Mother of Christ, and at the same time as the Mother whom Christ, in the mystery of the Redemption, gave to humanity in the person of the Apostle John. Thus, in her new motherhood in the Spirit, Mary embraces each and every one in the Church, and embraces each and every one through the Church. In this sense, Mary, Mother of the Church, is also the Church's model. Indeed, as Paul VI hopes and asks: the Church must draw 'from the Virgin Mother of God the most authentic form of perfect imitation of Christ.'" (10)

Mother of Our Christ Life

Rita Ring writes: "Mary is always desiring to bring forth her children to a greater Christ likeness. It is through Mary that we join in deepest intimacy with Jesus' Heart. Jesus came into this world in the womb of His Mother through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is today, in the womb of Mary, in the heart of Mary, that we are transformed through the Holy Spirit more and more to the likeness of Jesus. Let us go to the heart of our Mother and ask the Holy Spirit to increasingly sanctify us that we may go ever more deeply into the Heart of Jesus, the Heart of endless love. We do not fully comprehend the love of God. We are so limited in our vision. We do not fully know how Jesus' Heart is truly burning and on fire. Do we know what it is to feel love burning in our heart? This is what Jesus felt when He allowed Himself to suffer during His Passion and to die on the cross. His Heart was on fire."7

Christmas Meditation

At this Christmas season, these words of Fr. Edward Leen, C.S.Sp., are particularly appropriate:

"The swaddling bands in which Mary wrapped the Infant afforded but an imperfect shelter against the chilliness of the icy draughts. There is no doubt but that the straw was rough and course in spite of all Mary's efforts to make of it a clean and smooth bed for the tender Infant limbs. The manger, to be sure, was a sorry cradle for a King, and that the august King of heaven and earth. Doubtless, it was all very comfortless, but that is only one aspect of the birth of Jesus in the stable. It was not all wretchedness and misery. In this life of the God-Man loveliness and greatness, obscurity and splendor, weakness and power ever go hand in hand, and it is the splendor and power and greatness that dominate. They are but enhanced by the dark shadows of poverty, isolation and suffering. The shadows of the life of Jesus but serve to throw the splendors into stronger relief. The stable was a wretched abode, but in it was a sanctuary as worthy of God as it is possible for a created thing to be worthy of Him. That sanctuary was Mary's soul. In it the Child-God could nestle to His Heart's content and find delight. He is God and for Him, therefore, spiritual realities are more real than material realities. In His eyes the splendors of His Mother's soul transformed the cavern into an abode of palatial splendour and beauty. The mother love of Mary wrapped the soul and heart of Jesus in a mantle of warmth that was grateful in the extreme. God had never before experienced the like from a human person. Mary lavishes tenderness mingled with adoration on the Child. She ministers to Him the warmth, the light, the comfort, denied by the cavern. Joseph's affection and adoration were a pale but still a true reflex of the love and worship of Mary. It is not easy to satisfy God. The saints, even great ones, find Him exacting in His requirements. Yet here God was satisfied. He could ask no more from the two than they had given. For they had given without niggardliness. They had given all that their hearts and souls were capable of. The hostelry in which the new-born God found shelter was not, after all, such a mean one. It was the greatest and the most beautiful that our earth has ever seen or ever will see. It was not all lowliness and sordidness that surrounded the nativity of the Saviour. Man could not take from Him His greatness, nor could the humble circumstances to which their blindness condemned Him obscure it. He was great, in spite of all that man could say or do or judge and His greatness burst in splendour through the lowly conditions of the Nativity. Trumpets proclaim the birth of princes. Never did earth re-echo to strains comparable to those that announced the birth of the Great Prince of Heaven, Mary's Son. Never was such a radiance diffused through the palaces of kings as flooded the wide spaces in the center of which was the manger. Men may not, but God always does recognize true greatness, and He sets His seal upon it."3

The Heart of Mary

Pope John-Paul II gives us these inspiring words: "Be blessed above all things, Handmaid of the Lord, who obeyed the Divine Call in the fullest way! Be greeted, you who united yourself entirely with your Son's redemptive consecration! Mother of the Church! Enlighten the People of God on the way of faith, hope and charity! Help us to live with all the truth of the consecration of Christ for the entire human family in the contemporary world. By entrusting, O Mother, the world, all individuals and all peoples to you, we also entrust to you the very consecration of the world, putting it in your Maternal Heart.

"O, Immaculate Heart! Help us to overcome the threat of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of men today and, with the incommensurable effects, already weighs upon our contemporary existence and seems to close the way toward the future.

"Free us from hunger and war! From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, free us! From the sin against the life of man at its dawning, free us! From the hatred and debasement of the children of God, free us! From every kind of injustice, national and international, free us! From the ease treading down God's commandments, free us! From sins against the Holy Spirit, free us! Free us!

Receive, O Mother of Christ, this cry charged with the sufferings of all mankind! Charged with the suffering of entire societies. Reveal yourself once again, in the story of the world, to be merciful! May this cry halt evil! May it transform consciences!
May the light of hope, reveal itself to all in your Immaculate Heart! Amen".

Laurentin and Mary

Fr. René Laurentin, one of the world's foremost Mariologists, offers us the meaningful words concerning Mary: "She was present physically throughout the life of Christ-both by her mother's love and by her commitment to him. It was a communion of faith, of hope and of charity. Mary's presence to her son is a model for us, since, through this mother, God becomes our brother and has given her to us as mother in order to identify us with himself....We are humble children of this mother who has so profoundly adopted us in him....Mary has the mission of aiding the work of our divinization in Jesus Christ. She cooperates with him in the work of God."14

The Heart of Christ, the Heart of Mary

Pope John Paul II speaks to us movingly concerning the Heart of Christ: "The Heart of the Redeemer enlivens the whole Church and draws men who have opened their hearts 'to the inscrutable wealth' of this unique Heart....

"I desire in a special way to join spiritually with all those who inspire their human hearts from this Divine Heart. It is a numerous family. Not a few congregations, associations and communities live and develop in the Church, taking their vital energy in a programmed way from the Heart of Christ. This spiritual bond always leads to a great reawakening of apostolic zeal. Adorers of the Divine Heart become people with sensitive consciences. And when it is given to them to have a relationship with the Heart of our Lord and Master, then need also reawakens in them to do reparation for the sins of the world, for the indifference of so many hearts, for their negligence.

"How necessary these ranks of vigilant hearts are in the Church, so that the love of the Divine Heart shall not remain isolated and without response! In these ranks, special mention deserves to be made of all those who offer up their sufferings as living victims in union with the Heart of Christ pierced on the cross. Transformed in that way by love, human suffering becomes a particular leaven of Christ's saving work in the Church...

"The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus reminds us, above all, of those moments when this Heart was 'pierced by the lance,' and, thereby, opened in a visible manner to man and the world. By reciting the litany and venerating the Divine Heart in general, we learn the mystery of the Redemption in all its divine and human profundity."

And the Pope also speaks to us about the heart of Mary: "The Immaculate Heart of Mary was open to the word, 'Woman, there is your son.' It went to meet spiritually the Heart of the Son opened by the soldier's lance. The heart of Mary was opened by the same love for man and for the world with which Christ loved man and the world, offering up himself on the cross, even to that lance stroke from the soldier.

"Consecrating the world to the Immaculate heart of Mary means approaching the same Source of Life, through the Mother's Intercession, that life which flowed forth from Golgatha, the source which gushes out ceaselessly with redemption and grace. Reparation for the sins of the world is continually being accomplished in it. It is ceaselessly the font of new life and holiness.
"Consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart of the Mother means returning under the Cross of the Son. More: it means consecration of this world to the pierced Heart of the Savior, by bringing the world back to the very source of its Redemption. Redemption is always greater than man's sin and 'the sin of the world.' The power of Redemption infinitely surpasses the whole range of evil in man and in the world.

"The Heart of the Mother is aware of it, more than anyone in the whole cosmos, visible and invisible. This is why she calls. She does not call only to conversion; she also calls upon us to let ourselves be helped by her, the Mother, to return to the source of the Redemption."4

St. Bernard's Tribute to Mary

Bernard, saint and doctor of the Church, and one greatly devoted to Mary, offers us these inspiring words:

"If you will not be submerged by tempests, do not turn away your eyes from the splendor of this star. If the storms of temptation arise, if you crash against the rocks of tribulation, look to the star, call upon Mary. If you are tossed about on the waves of pride, of ambition, of slander, of hostility, look to the star, call upon Mary. If wrath or avarice or the enticements of the flesh upset the boat of your mind, look to Mary. If you are disturbed by the immensity of your crimes' if you begin to be swallowed up by the abyss of depression and despair, think of Mary! In danger, in anxieties, in doubt, think of Mary, call upon Mary. Let her name not leave your lips, nor your heart, and that you may receive the help of her prayer, do not cease to follow the example of her conduct' If she holds you, you will not fall, if she protects you, you need not fear."13

Scriptural Reflections

  • Openness to God. "In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. He went in and said to her, 'Rejoice, so highly favored! The Lord is with you.' She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, 'Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God's favor. Listen! You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the house of Jacob forever and his reign will have no end.' Mary said to the angel, 'But how can this come about, since I am a virgin?' 'The Holy spirit will come upon you' the angel answered 'and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. Know this too: your kinswoman Elizabeth has, in her old age, herself conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.' I am the handmaid of the Lord, said Mary 'let what you have said be done to me'. And the angel left her." (Lk 1:26-38).

God wants the best for us. His love is eager-eager to draw us ever closer to Himself. His love for us is a transforming love. As we surrender to it more and more, this love accomplishes our ongoing conversion. It thrusts us forward to become more deeply Christian. God's love for us contains the absolute capacity to make us happy, to make us fulfilled persons, to make us what in the depths of our beings we really know we should be and want to be.

We can put obstacles in the way of God's transforming designs. We can say no to this love. We can refuse to be open to God's tender, loving touch. We can engage in a process of self-enclosedness. We can determine to map out our own path to happiness, forgetting that plans for happiness which exclude God are ultimately plans for experiencing frustration and emptiness.

At other times it is not so much selfishness which leads us to say no to God, it is rather fear. We hear God's voice calling us higher. We hear His voice asking something which seems very difficult. We hear His voice asking something we had not at all expected. Yes, we hear all this-and we draw back. We draw back because we are afraid. We refuse God because our fear focuses our attention on what we are rather than on what God is. We look too much at our own weakness, rather than at God's power which can transform our inadequacy into a mighty strength.

In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.

Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.

Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".

  • People are Looking at Us. "You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on the lamp-stand where it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine in the sight of men, so that, seeing your good works, they may give the praise to your Father in heaven" (Mt 5:14-16).

Jesus taught by word and action. He talked to huge crowds, to small groups, to various individuals. He talked about love and friendship, about joy and suffering, about life and death. He had a message to spread, His Father's message, and He did not miss His opportunities. It was not enough for Him merely to talk about His Father's message. He was also constantly teaching by the total event of His life, death and resurrection. Not only His words, but also His actions spoke out loud and clear. He not only talked about the love we should have for one another. He incarnated this teaching in the laying down of His own life for the salvation of all. His words spoke eloquently of brotherly love. So also did His bloody and bruised body nailed to a cross. His words sounded so convincing. The way He went about living could also pierce the hardest heart.

Jesus invites us to assist Him in the continuation of His teaching mission. The method of procedure remains the same; we, too, like Jesus before us, are to teach by both word and action. The opportunities for teaching by word are more numerous than we might expect. For it is not only bishops and priests and teachers of religious studies who teach by word. Parents, as they rear their children, have numerous opportunities to teach Jesus' message. Friends talk about all sorts of things. If one is sincerely Christian, his or her friend will eventually know.

The opportunities to teach about Jesus by the way we act are even more numerous than are the occasions for variously speaking about the message of Jesus. People are looking at us. We cannot long hide the life-vision which thrusts us forward, which motivates so much of what we do. If we live according to the pleasure principle, this becomes evident. If we live according to the money principle, this also becomes manifest. If we are close followers and friends of Jesus, this too becomes clear to people. They will know by the way we work and play, by our attitude towards life and death, by our refusing to become bitter despite even great suffering, by the way we treat others, especially those who are poor, or ridiculed, or discriminated against, or passed over as unimportant and of little worth. If we are deeply Christian, Christ's way of thinking and doing will necessarily affect our own way of thinking and doing. We are called to project Jesus and His message through our own humanities. Either we do, or we don't. Either we seize the numerous and daily opportunities for helping to preach Jesus by the way we live, or we do not. Either we respond to Jesus' invitation to be a light for the world, or we do not. This invitation goes out to all, but to priests in a special way. Jesus, through Holy Orders, has given Himself to the priest in a most special way. If the priest, realizing Jesus' precious love for him as this unique priest-companion, surrenders to Christ, this gives Him special joy. For the priest, because of his special union with Jesus, can be a light to the world in a most extraordinary way.

Mary in Our Life

Here are words of Fr. Angelo Amato, S.D.B., professor of theology at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome: "The maternal presence of Mary in our life is not a Catholic invention or an exaggeration of the popular piety, but a biblical reality found in the heart of the Trinitarian mystery of salvation…Mary is the creature chosen by God to become the Mother of His beloved Son. The presence of Mary in the mystery of Christ and of the Church is not therefore optional or cosmetic, but theological and soteriological…

"For this reason among Protestants, too, there exist today representative figures who are trying to recover the biblical figure of Mary, as well as the ecclesial tradition condensed, for example, in the four Marian dogmas. We mention, among others, authors like Henry Chavannes, John Macquarry with his recent book, ‘Mary for all Christians’, Ulrich Wickert…

"And today, more than ever, is valid the affirmation made by John H. Newman (1801-1890) in 1865: ‘Exactly those nations and lands that got rid of the devotion to the Mother of God, have lost faith in Christ’s divinity; while those lands which were faithful to Mary, have conserved Orthodoxy’."10

The Eucharist

In his homily at the World Youth Day Mass in Paris, Pope John Paul II put forth these words on the Eucharist: "‘Rabbi, where are you staying?’ Each day the Church responds: Christ is present in the eucharist, in the sacrament of his death and resurrection. In and through the eucharist you acknowledge the dwelling place of the living God in human history. For the eucharist is the sacrament of the love which conquers death. It is the sacrament of the covenant, pure gift of love for the reconciliation of all humanity. It is the gift of the real presence of Jesus the redeemer…Thanks to the eucharist, constantly renewed among all the peoples of the world, Christ continues to build his church: He brings us together in praise and thanksgiving for salvation, in the communion which only infinite love can forge. Our worldwide gathering now takes on its fullest meaning, through the celebration of the Mass. For Christ is now answering your own question and the questions of all those who seek the living God. He answers by offering an invitation: This is my body, take it and eat. To the Father he entrusts his supreme desire: that all those whom he loves may be one in the same communion."11

The Holy Father offers us further words on the Eucharist. Speaking of Mary, he tells us: "Her motherhood is particularly noted and experienced by the Christian people at the Sacred Banquet—the liturgical celebration of the mystery of the Redemption—at which Christ, his true body born of the Virgin Mary, becomes present.

"The piety of the Christian people has always rightly sensed a profound link between devotion to the Blessed Virgin and worship of the Eucharist: this is the fact that can be seen in the liturgy of both the West and the East, in the traditions of the Religious Families, in the modern movements of spirituality, including those for youth, and in the pastoral practice of the Marian Shrines. Mary guides the faithful to the Eucharist."12

Thoughts from a Spiritual Journal

Here are certain reflections from a spiritual journal. Notice how Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and Mary enter into the person’s experience:

"Well, the night was black, as black as black could be and the cold pierced my bones. I felt its chill go through my entire body and I wanted to scream and it happened—He gave me an outpouring of His life in my soul and my darkness was truly turned to light, another light, not the light of the eyes, a light of knowing God, the joy of beholding His heavenly embrace, the great illumination of another mystery. Oh such sweet gifts He gives when, in an instant, I pray my rosary and the Holy Spirit fills my heart with lights and the mystery lights up and I know, I just know, and I experience a great insight into God.

"This is the reason for this letter, for I laid on my bed and I wanted to cry and I was deeply afraid for the demons pressed in as rocks poking at me and hurting my precious skin. I laid in bed and I went into the womb of my Mother Mary and I asked for the Holy Spirit to flood me with His light and it came: death-resurrection, darkness-light, sorrow-joy, suffering and pain, but oh, the joy of His light, the joy of His glory. It is in the death there is the resurrection.

"So, I walk the road to Calvary. I mount the cross and I die. I offer sacrifice and in the morning when the night is done I see the glory of the resurrection. I experience His joy in my heart.

"So I went to bed and went into the womb of my Mother Mary and the Holy Spirit flooded me with light and I united deeply to my precious Jesus on the cross. I know Him and His love. I reminisced on all the places of deepest intimacy I had shared with Him and my heart burned. I wanted Him to be so close to me, and I loved Him so much. I cried out, ‘I love you, I love you, I love you.’ In that moment I knew Him. He had removed my bonds and set me free. I then knew Jesus as never before.

"I felt my great love for God the Father. I have been experiencing my littleness as a child and knowing my Father, seeing myself very little and knowing my Father and wanting as a little child to please Him. Then tonight I realized more His Fatherly love. I saw myself depending on Him, needing Him, crying to Him, loving Him and then I realized His might and love coming to me.

"So I knew in an instant. He gives you a light and you know. I experienced the Trinity. My heart was consumed. I was engulfed in the love of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I stopped to be in the embrace, wanting it to never end, for in this embrace I felt peace, a peace I had not felt before, so different from the days that had proceeded this moment, the days of suffering and trial.

"I mounted the cross. I felt the nails press deeply into my hands and feet. I felt the crown of thorns on my head. I said to Him, "Oh, why, my God, if you love me, do you make it so hard?

"And then I pictured Jesus on the cross. I saw His mouth with blood running from the corner of it. I saw the body of one close to death. I saw His wounds, blistery and red, pouring out His precious blood. I saw the hollowness of His cheeks and the exhaustion of one ready to expire in death. I saw the anguishing Lord Who came to show us His way. His way is death and resurrection. His way is pain and glory. His way is the way to eternal life!"

The Eucharistic Sacrifice

  • Speaking of Eucharistic participation, Vatican II tells us: "The Church, therefore, earnestly desires that Christ's faithful, when present at this mystery of faith, should not be there as strangers or silent spectators. On the contrary, through a proper appreciation of the rites and prayers they should participate knowingly, devoutly, and actively. They should be instructed by God's word and be refreshed at the table of the Lord's body; they should give thanks to God; by offering the Immaculate Victim, not only through the hands of the priest, but also with him, they should learn to offer themselves too. Through Christ the Mediator, they should be drawn day by day into ever closer union with God and with each other, so that finally God may be all in all."4

The above words remind us that the universal priesthood gives the faithful a real priestly power of offering the Eucharistic sacrifice. This capacity of offering, of course, differs from that power of offering which the priest receives through ordination. Nevertheless, all of us do participate in the priesthood and victimhood of Jesus, who is chief priest and victim in the Mass.
  • Pope John-Paul II, in one of his writings prior to his becoming Pope, points out that the truth of our sharing in the priesthood of Christ is central to the entire teaching of Vatican II: "...the attitude which derives from sharing in the priesthood of Christ is seen as one which contains in a special way all the richness of faith, both as regards content and as regards subjective commitment. The Conciliary teaching, which lays so much emphasis on this attitude, also shows us its proper place in the inner life of every Christian and the life of every Christian community, in which all the wealth of faith must be sought and developed. It can in a sense be said that the doctrine concerning Christ's priesthood and man's share in it is at the very centre of the teaching of Vatican II and contains in a certain manner all that the Council wished to say about the Church, mankind and the world.

"Only against the background of the truth concerning Christ's priesthood, in which all the People of God share, does the Council delineate the mutual 'subordination' between the priesthood of all the faithful and the hierarchical priesthood."
    5
  • The following words of Fr. M. Raymond, O.C.S.O., are closely connected with the above. His words emphasize the great importance regarding personal holiness and one's participation in the Mass. "Mass, insomuch as it is Christ's offering, is not only always acceptable to God, but is of infinite value as well. But, inasmuch as it is your offering and mine, and that of every other member of the Mystical Body...we can limit the effectiveness of God's great Act of Love; we finite beings can set bounds to the veritable flood of God-life made possible by the Infinite Son of the Infinite Father."6
  • Yes, the effectiveness of each Mass, which makes the sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally present, depends in part on the holiness of the entire Church offering it with Christ to the Father in the Holy Spirit, including the holiness of the individual priest offering the Mass and the holiness of his participating congregation.

Fr. Maurice de la Taille, S.J., formerly professor of Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, and a universally recognized authority on the Mass, points out the great importance of personal holiness in the Church relative to the effectiveness of the Eucharistic sacrifice: "It is, then, of greatest importance that there should be in the Church many holy, many very holy persons. Devout people, men and woman, who should be urged by every means to higher sanctity, so that through them the value of our Masses may be increased and the tireless voice of the Blood of Christ, crying from the earth, may ring with greater clearness and insistence in the ears of God. His Blood cries on the altars of the Church, but, since it cries through us, it follows that the warmer the heart, the purer the lips, the more clearly will its cry be heard at the Throne of God. Would you wish to know why for so many years after the first Pentecost the Gospel was so marvelously propagated; why there was so much sanctity amongst the Christian people; why such purity in heart and mind, such charity, the sum of all perfections? You will find the answer when you recall that in those times the Mother of God was still on earth giving her precious aid in all the Masses celebrated by the Church, and you will cease to wonder that never since has there been such expansion of Christianity, and such spiritual progress."
    7

If all, then, have a responsibility to grow in holiness in order to render the Mass more efficacious, the priest has a special duty to do so. His goal must always be to grow in holiness--to grow in union with Christ the priest, this Christ Who leads us to the Father in the Holy Spirit with Mary at our side.
  • Let us continue to build upon the thought of Fr. de la Taille. He states that the Masses which took place while Our Blessed Mother was still upon earth were extraordinarily effective because of her great holiness.

We can, therefore, make our own participation in the Eucharistic Sacrifice much more effective by striving to develop within us those dispositions of Mary which she brought to her own participation in the Eucharist sacrifice while she was upon earth.

Let us ask Mary to help us participate in the Eucharistic sacrifice as perfectly as possible. She is the perfect model for us in the putting on of Christ crucified and Christ glorified. Mary has been given great insight into how one is to participate more and more in Christ's paschal mystery of death and resurrection, this paschal mystery which becomes sacramentally present upon our altars at the Eucharistic sacrifice.

Mary is the Sorrowful Mother who has cried. She is also the one who is totally wrapped in victory as she stands above the altar of sacrifice. Mary is the Lady of Victory, the Lady of Peace and Joy, the Lady Clothed with the Sun. Through her Immaculate Heart she brings the crying children of Eve into greater light so that grace will flow in great torrents from the altars of sacrifice.

Let us pray that we ourselves will contribute more and more in helping the waters of salvation flow more copiously from our altars to the thirsty earth.

As we have indicated, the fruitfulness of each Mass depends greatly on the holiness of the priest offering the Eucharistic sacrifice. An aspect of the priest's holiness is his coming to the altar with that presence of being which allows him to have the greatest appreciation of the awesome event which is to take place. The priest attains the proper presence at the Mass proportionate to his oneness with Christ. In turn, his oneness with Jesus is in proportion to his union with Mary. For it is Mary's God-given role to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in producing the deepening of the image of Jesus within us. Consequently, the more one is united to Mary, the more the Holy Spirit, Whose spouse Mary is, forms us in Christ.

Besides having a duty to grow in appreciation of the greatness of the Mass himself, the priest has a great privilege and responsibility to teach the faithful how to participate more fruitfully in the Mass. Many seem to come to the Mass knowing little regarding the greatness of the event about to occur. Many seem to come to the altar lacking in that proper knowledge and proper overall disposition which would allow for a proper participation in the Eucharistic sacrifice.

In childlike trust, let us ask the Father to grant us through Christ and in the Holy Spirit with the assistance of Mary our Mother, ever greater knowledge and love of the Eucharist: "At that time Jesus exclaimed, 'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him." (Mt 11:25-27)

St. Louis de Montfort and Consecration to Jesus and Mary

    J. Patrick Gaffney, S.M.M., writes of St. Louis de Montfort: "Montfort's intense devotion to Mary is clearly Christocentric. So strongly does the saint insist upon the point that he forcefully teaches that if devotion to Mary alienated us from Jesus it would have to be rejected as a diabolical temptation...With Mary we enter into a more intense and more immediate union with the Incarnate Wisdom. To wrench Mary from salvation history and therefore from Christian life is, for Montfort, to reject the plan of salvation as decreed by the Father.

"The total, lived-out acceptance of the reality of our faith is what Montfort calls 'Consecration to the Eternal and Incarnate Wisdom.' This loving, free surrender to God's plan renews us in the Spirit so that we may 'carry out great things for God and for the salvation of souls' (cf. The True Devotion, 214)...and all must be done in the 'milieu' of Mary's maternal influence so that we may, like her, be temples of the Holy Spirit and thereby renew the face of the earth."17

And here are words from St. Louis himself: "The more one is consecrated to Mary, the more one is consecrated to Jesus."18

Mother at Our Side

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep and runs away as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; this is because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep. (Jn 10:11-151)

Yes, the Good Shepherd has laid down His life for us. As He was near death, an awesome episode in the work of redemption took place: Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, "Woman, this is your son". Then to the disciple he said, "This is your mother." And from that moment the disciple made a place for her in his home." (Jn 19:25-27).

Speaking of Mary, Vatican II tells us: "In an utterly singular way she cooperated by her obedience, faith, hope and burning charity in the Savior's work of restoring supernatural life to souls. For this reason she is a mother to us in the order of grace." 2

Mary is the Mother of Jesus. She is also our Mother. The above words of Scripture and of the Second Vatican Council attest to this.

Yes, Jesus has given us Mary as our spiritual Mother. As He hung on the cross, Jesus told John to look upon Mary as his Mother, this John who represented all of us. In His moment of deepest anguish and suffering, Jesus was thinking of us. As the undescribable physical pain racked His body from head to toe, as the unfathomable spiritual anguish penetrated to the depths of His magnificent Heart, Jesus was thinking of us. If we allow this scene to penetrate into our hearts, if we take the time to contemplate the depth of Jesus' and Mary's love for us as their Hearts were pierced with grief, we are truly overwhelmed with the magnificent greatness, sorrow, and tenderness of the scene.

The fact that Mary is our Mother, the fact that she has such a powerful role to play in our salvation in no way detracts from the mediatorship of Christ. Vatican II states: "The maternal duty of Mary toward men in no way obscures or diminishes this unique mediation of Christ, but rather shows its power. For all the saving influences of the Blessed Virgin on men originate, not from some inner necessity, but from the divine pleasure. They flow forth from the superabundance of the merits of Christ, rest on His mediation, depend entirely on it, and draw all their power from it. In no way do they impede the immediate union of the faithful with Christ. Rather, they foster this union." 3

In her loving, maternal role, Mary cooperates with the Holy Spirit in forming Christ in us. Pope John Paul II tells us: "The Church knows that 'all the saving influences of the Blessed Virgin on mankind originate... from the divine pleasure...' This saving influence is sustained by the Holy Spirit, Who, just as He overshadowed the Virgin Mary when he began in her the divine motherhood, in a similar way constantly sustains her solicitude for the brothers and sisters of her Son." 4

Mary, our Mother is ever with us, guiding us, teaching us, caring for us, protecting us, loving us. With her maternal assistance we go to the Father through and with Christ in the Holy Spirit.

Mary nourishes our growth in Christ with a very tender and specialized love for each of us. She regards each of us as a precious, unique individual. John Paul II again speaks to us: "Of the essence of motherhood is the fact that it concerns the person. Motherhood always establishes a unique and unrepeatable relationship between two people: between mother and child and between child and mother. Even when the same woman is the mother of many children, her personal relationship with each one of them is of the very essence of motherhood. For each child is generated in a unique and unrepeatable way, and this is true both for the mother and for the child." 5

The Holy Father then applies these ideas to Mary and us: "It can be said that motherhood 'in the order of grace' preserves the analogy with what 'in the order of nature' characterizes the union between mother and child. In the light of this fact it becomes easier to understand why in Christ's testament on Golgotha His Mother's new motherhood is expressed in the singular, in reference to one man." 6

This is the awesome and consoling truth-you and I are very precious to Mary. She shows us her Heart as a symbol of her life of love, including her most special, unique love for each of us individually. Yes, she loves each of us much more than we can ever fathom. It is our great privilege and responsibility to love her in return. She asks for this love, she asks for our trust, she asks us to come to her maternal and Immaculate Heart, so that she can lead us ever closer to the Heart of her Son, Jesus.

Are we sorrowful, anxious, troubled? Let us go to Mary our Mother and ask her to console us. Let us ask her for the grace to handle our sorrow, our anxieties, our troubles properly-according to God's will. In this way our suffering will bring us closer to Christ as it simultaneously allows us to contribute to the ongoing Christianization of the world.

Are we especially joyful, happy, basking in the glow of a goal successfully accomplished? Let us go to Mary and ask her to help us handle our joy, our happiness, our success as God intends. Let us petition her not to allow our joy to make us forgetful of God, our God Who is the source of all true joy, success and happiness.

Yes, Mary invites us to come to her in all circumstances-whether it be in joy or sorrow, success or failure, laughter or tears. Mary wants us to share in her maternal wisdom so that we may understand how to use our various experiences to come closer to God in Christ. Sharing our lives with Mary in this fashion, and on a consistent basis, requires that we love her, that we trust her, that we surrender ourselves to her maternal love.

Help us, Mother Mary, to probe ever more deeply into the depths of your love for us. Help us to realize more and more that to be loved by you is to experience a sweetness, a warmth, a tenderness, a serenity, a security, which makes us cry out, "O Mother, how good and loving you are!"

Mary's Presence

Fr. René Laurentin, one of the world's foremost Mariologists, speaks to us concerning Mary's presence to Christ: "Mary is present throughout the life of Christ...She introduced him into the human family, unfolded his humanity, accompanied him throughout his hidden life until he reached the age of thirty. She became involved in his ministry by suggesting to him the sign of Cana (John 2:1-22). During the three years of separation, her spiritual communion deepened further. She was one with him physically and morally during his suffering and death on Calvary, through compassion with his passion. She prepared for and accompanied, through her prayer, the birth of the Church (Acts 1:14). Finally, she rejoined her son in the glory of the Assumption."

Laurentin also speaks about the presence of Mary in the life of the Church: "Mary's discreet and universal presence continues throughout the life of the Church: visible and invisible, in history, its churches, its religious art. The call for her intercession appears throughout the dogmatic history of the Councils and the various complex struggles within the Church which, during the Carolingian era, inspired the famous anthiphon: 'You have conquered all heresies throughout the world.'

"She was also the inspiration for the initiatives and victories of the Church. Many feasts were instituted in order to commemorate her efficacious assistance. From the earliest centuries, the most ancient churches were dedicated to her since she was the first temple of God and remains the model of all others. Mary, model of the Church, is also the model of the churches where the eucharistic presence of the Lord is renewed and where prayer takes place continuously."

Present to the universal Church, Mary is also present to the individual Christian. Laurentin quotes from the writings of numerous holy men and women who give witness concerning this personal presence of Mary. There follow some of Laurentin's quotations regarding this testimony.

He refers to St. Anthony of Padua: "And St. Anthony of Padua, Doctor of the Church, whose canonization broke all records, taking place less than two years after his death, concluded one of his principal homilies with this prayer: 'We beseech you, Our Lady, our hope, tossed about as we are by the storm. You, Star of the Sea, bright ray, direct us towards safe harbour, assist our arrival by the protection of your presence. (Sermon 3 in Praise of the Virgin, op. 1, p 163.)"

Laurentin also refers to Jean Jacques Olier, founder of the Sulpicians, and one of the most prominent figures of the French School of Spirituality. He quotes Olier: "One Saturday Mary became interiorly present to my soul...She recalled to me that her dear son had told me that he would only live in me through her...as if she were a sacrament by which he wished to communicate his life to me. (Brettonvillers, L'esprit de Monsieur Olier, t. 1, 1, 9 pp. 396-397)."

And it is not surprising that Laurentin, in his discussion of Mary's presence to us, refers to St. Louis de Montfort, one of the greatest apostles of devotion to Mary. Laurentin says: "Let us not pick any further from the petals of the dossier (Laurentin refers to the list of citations he has made concerning Mary's presence to us) which stretches over the centuries and which seems to justify de Montfort's prediction in his Treatise on True Devotion (no 46): 'At the end of the world, the greatest saints will be those who are most devoted to praying to the most Holy Virgin, and who have had her always present... in order... to have her as their powerful helper in their time of need '' " 12

Let us remind ourselves, regarding St. Louis de Montfort, that his Marian devotion is deeply Christocentric. J. Patrick Gaffney, S. S. M., tells us: "Montfort's intense devotion to Mary is clearly Christocentric. So strongly does the saint insist upon the point that he forcefully teaches that if devotion to Mary alienated us from Jesus it would have to be rejected as a diabolical temptation...with Mary we enter into a more intense and more immediate union with the Incarnate Wisdom. To wrench Mary from salvation history and therefore from Christian life is, for Montfort, to reject the plan of salvation as decreed by the Father." 13

Various Thoughts

Here is an excerpt from a spiritual journal: "I envision the sorrowful face of my beautiful Mother. I can see the face, so sorrowful-words cannot express the sorrow. This is the face Jesus saw on the way to Calvary. How could anyone describe the face Christ saw as Mary walked the nightmare path!

"I feel I am suffering, and I want relief. Behold the face of Mary on the way to Calvary. Behold the face of Christ as Mary looked at Him. Endurance! His face was covered with blood and wounds. This was the face of Mary, this was the face of Jesus. His way is the way of the cross-and the cross leads to resurrection. In all the sufferings, Jesus and May were comforted as they peered into each other's eyes. Let us be wrapped in the love of these two Hearts. Pure love unites with pure love and we are caught in the embrace. This love is found in dwelling in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We are comforted by their love, even in suffering, even in great suffering."

God With Us

  • And we see a pillar against a dark sky. We see Jesus against the darkened sky and the Woman beneath and the scene cries out to earth, "Not my will, but Thine be done", not as spoken words, but the very vivid scene of the New Adam, the Pillar of Light, and the New Eve says this. What do you see as you look at the scene of the New Adam and the New Eve, the New Adam hanging from the tree in the place with a garden?

Do you not see the words as if they are almost written across the sky, "Thy will be done"? See her underneath the cross as she holds Him across her knees. His arms lay limp. And the words go across the sky again, "Not My will, but Thine be done". For He did the Father’s will to His death on the cross. He is placed in the tomb as she cries outside. Behold the most sorrowful Mother. Within her Heart is an understanding of the divine mysteries that far exceeds that of any human person. In her sorrow, in her tears, she knew so deeply the great gift that God sent--Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, the Savior of the world. She knew that her Son had to suffer these things in order to enter into the glory of His resurrection.

And on the day of His resurrection, Mary’s tears were now tears of joy. The victory of her Son has now been accomplished, and the victory will last forever. And on that first Easter morning Mary also knew that all of us, her children, are called to share in her Son’s victory-- His resurrection--now, and especially in eternal life. She is ever pleading with us that with the help of God’s grace we will do all that is necessary to share as fully as possible in the life of Jesus’ resurrection--here and hereafter. She wants Emmanuel to be with us to the greatest degree possible, now and in eternal life.

Mary

St. Louis de Montfort has been one of the greatest apostles regarding devotion to Mary. Here are some of his thoughts:

"Just as in natural and bodily generation there is a father and a mother, so in the supernatural and spiritual generation there is a father who is God and a mother who is Mary.

"... God the Son wishes to form himself, and, in a manner of speaking, become incarnate every day in his members through his dear Mother.

"... Moreover, Jesus is still as much as ever the fruit of Mary, as heaven and earth repeat thousands of times a day, ‘Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus’. It is therefore certain that Jesus is the fruit and gift of Mary for every single man who possesses him, just as truly as he is for all mankind. Consequently, if any of the faithful have Jesus formed in their heart they can boldly say, ‘It is thanks to Mary that what I possess is Jesus, her fruit, and without her I would not have him.’

"...When the Holy Spirit, her spouse, finds Mary in a soul, he hastens there and enters fully into it. He gives himself generously to that soul according to the place it has given to his spouse. One of the main reasons why the Holy Spirit does not now work striking wonders in souls is that he fails to find in them a sufficiently close union with his faithful and inseparable spouse."8

The Holy Spirit

Jesus leads us to the Father in the Holy Spirit with Mary at our side. The Holy Spirit desires to fashion us into an ever greater likeness to Christ according to the pattern of Jesus’ death-resurrection. Mary our Mother cooperates with the Spirit, Whose spouse she is, in this process. Obviously, we should pray to the Holy Spirit each day. There are many ways we can do this. We can do this by simply turning our attention to the Holy Spirit at various times during the day as we ask for His guidance. This method can be complemented by saying certain established prayers. Here is one of these: "We adore You, Holy Spirit. Give us light, give us strength, console us. We give ourselves entirely to You. Spirit of light, we want only to do the will of the Father. Enlighten us that we may live always in the Father’s will. "Eternal Spirit, fill us with Your divine wisdom so that we may comprehend more fully the divine mysteries.

"Give us lights, Oh Holy Spirit, that we may know God. Work within the Heart, the spiritual womb, of the Virgin Mary to form us more and more into the image of Jesus."

The Father and Mary

In his Encyclical, Redemptor Hominis (Redeemer of Man) Pope John Paul II states: "The special characteristic of the motherly love that the Mother of God inserts in the mystery of the Redemption and the life of the Church finds expression in its exceptional closeness to man and all that happens to him. It is in this that the mystery of the Mother consists. The Church, which looks to her with altogether special love and hope, wishes to make this mystery her own in an ever deeper manner...

"The Father’s eternal love, which has been manifested in the history of mankind through the Son whom the Father gave... comes close to each of us through this Mother and thus takes on tokens that are of more easy understanding and access by each person." 3

Mary and the Priest

The Directory of the Ministry and Life of Priests tells us: "There is an ‘essential rapport … between the Mother of Jesus and the priesthood of the ministry of the Son,’ stemming from the existing one between the divine maternity of Mary and the priesthood of Christ.

"In light of such a rapport, Marian spirituality is rooted in every priest. Priestly spirituality could not be considered complete if it were to fail to include the message of Christ’s words on the Cross, in which He conferred His Mother to the beloved disciple, and, through him, to all priests called to continue his work of redemption.

"Like John at the foot of the Cross, every priest has been entrusted, in a special way, with Mary as Mother (cf Jn 19:26-27).

"Priests, who are among the favored disciples of Jesus, crucified and risen, should welcome Mary as their Mother in their own life, bestowing her with constant attention and prayer. The Blessed Virgin then becomes the Mother who leads them to Christ, who makes them sincerely love the Church, who intercedes for them and guides them toward the Kingdom of heaven…

"But they are not devout sons if they do not know how to imitate the virtues of Mary. The priest will look to Mary to be a humble, obedient and chaste minister and to give testimony of charity in the total surrender to God and the Church." 9

The Holy Spirit and Mary

The late Archbishop Luis M. Martinez of Mexico strikingly speaks of the ongoing cooperation of Mary with the Holy Spirit regarding the reproduction of Jesus within us: "Christian life is the reproduction of Jesus in souls…

"Now, how will this mystical reproduction be brought about in souls? In the same way in which Jesus was brought into the world, for God gives a wonderful mark of unity to all His works. Divine acts have a wealth of variety because they are the work of omnipotence; nevertheless, a most perfect unity always shines forth from them because they are the fruit of wisdom; and this divine contrast of unity and variety stamps the works of God with sublime and unutterable beauty.

"In His miraculous birth, Jesus was the fruit of heaven and earth…The Holy Spirit conveyed the divine fruitfulness of the Father to Mary, and the virginal soil brought forth in an ineffable manner our most loving Savior, the divine Seed, as the prophets called Him…

"That is the way He is reproduced in souls. He is always the fruit of heaven and earth.

"Two artisans must concur in the work that is at once God’s masterpiece and humanity’s supreme product: the Holy Spirit and the most holy Virgin Mary. Two sanctifiers are necessary to souls, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, for they are the only ones who can reproduce Christ.

"Undoubtedly, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary sanctify us in different ways. The first is the Sanctifier by essence; because He is God, who is infinite sanctity; because He is the personal Love that completes, so to speak, the sanctity of God, consummating His life and His unity, and it belongs to Him to communicate to souls the mystery of that sanctity. The Virgin Mary, for her part, is the co-operator, the indispensable instrument in and by God’s design. From Mary’s maternal relation to the human body of Christ is derived her relation to His Mystical Body which is being formed through all the centuries until the end of time, when it will be lifted up to the heavens, beautiful, splendid, complete, and glorious.

"These two, then, the Holy Spirit and Mary, are the indispensable artificers of Jesus, the indispensable sanctifiers of souls. Any saint in heaven can co-operate in the sanctification of a soul, but his co-operation is not necessary, not profound, not constant: while the co-operation of these two artisans of Jesus of whom we have just been speaking is so necessary that without it souls are not sanctified (and this by the actual design of Providence), and so intimate that it reaches to the very depths of our soul. For the Holy Spirit pours charity into our heart, makes a habitation of our soul, and directs our spiritual life by means of His gifts. The Virgin Mary has the efficacious influence of Mediatrix in the most profound and delicate operations of grace in our souls. And, finally, the action of the Holy Spirit and the co-operation of the most holy Virgin Mary are constant; without them, not one single character of Jesus would be traced on our souls, no virtue grow, no gift be developed, no grace increased, no bond of union with God be strengthened in the rich flowering of the spiritual life.

"Such is the place that the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary have in the order of sanctification. Therefore, Christian piety should put these two artisans of Christ in their true place, making devotion to them something necessary, profound, and constant." 18

Mary

Here are inspiring words concerning Mary from Fr. Joseph Dean, SCJ:

Blessed Virgin Mary,
by faith and the power of the Spirit,
you bore God for our salvation.
In your days on earth,
you pointed to Jesus, your Son, and said:
"Do whatever he tells you."
With your Son’s beloved disciple,
you stood at the foot of the cross.
You believed in the midst of the night.
You loved with a pierced soul.

Mary, my mother,
pray for me today.
May I follow Jesus as you did,
welcoming the Holy Spirit,
responding to your Son’s love,
living in communion with his love for the Father,
cooperating with his work of redemption in the
     midst of the world.
In this way, may my heart be joined with yours.
May I follow your example of faith and love
bringing the Heart of your Son to the
heart of the world.

Amen.

In Uniting to Our Pure Hearts,
You Offer a Most Pure Sacrifice

Mary speaks: My dear little children,

I wish to speak to you as your loving Mother. You die to self and your ways that are not of God and you live more and more in Our Hearts. At the Consecration of the Mass you ask to be one in the Holy Sacrifice offered for the salvation of souls.

You my children offer a most holy sacrifice when you give yourself to my pure and Immaculate Heart. I take you to the depth of the Heart of my Son. The connection to pureness is in Our Hearts.

Do you wish to offer a tainted sacrifice or one that is most pure? The more you unite to my sinless, Immaculate Heart, the more pure are your actions. I am the Virgin Mary, Mother most pure. I come to lead my children home to the Heart of my Son.

In uniting to our pure Hearts you offer a most pure sacrifice. You ask to die to your selfish, sinful ways in the sacrifice and you unite in deep union to the resurrected Christ. You come in my pure heart to offer the sacrifice.

I stand the Lady victorious under the cross as you unite in great oneness in my Heart and the Heart of my Son, Jesus.

I stood beneath the cross, sorrowful and joyous, sad for my little children that would lose their souls, joyous for those to be saved.

You pray fervently at every Mass. You unite in the heart of the New Eve and the Heart of the New Adam. Grace is poured forth on the earth and the garden is watered with His life. He sweat the life saving blood in the garden of Gethsemane. Now He gives you this life of grace poured out on the thirsty earth in the Mass.

A garden in Eden, a tree and a serpent, the parents that sinned and did their own will.

A garden I give to you now in Florida, my Son hangs from the cross, the New Adam. I stand beneath the cross of my Son, Jesus, the handmaid of the Lord, the New Eve. All authority is under His feet. Eve wanted to make herself like a god. I am the New Eve. All authority is under the King. He is the God. I ask you this question, my children, have you made yourselves gods? Or have you given your heart to my Son that He is your God?

This is my garden to bring forth great fruit for the kingdom. A tree and a serpent; a tree and a dying Man, a God-made-Man, come to save a sinful race; an altar, a sacrifice, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, and to you my children, the life-saving grace will flow more copiously on the earth when priests hearts are consecrated to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary as they celebrate the Mass. I ask you to pray for my priest-sons here, to carry out the prayer chapters to pray for priests and the renewal of the Church and the world. There will be a new earth in which men will love their God with their whole heart, their whole soul and their whole being. Will you help lead the priests to consecration? Will you help me with this mission I began at Fatima, do you want grace poured out on the earth that men will see with the light of seven suns?

sculpted by Felix Avalos

I give you a garden here to bring forth great fruit. I am the Lady Clothed with the Sun. Your world is on a fine line and my Son's hand is raised. Will you help me bring about the completion of what I began at Fatima to lead the world into one fold? My Heart will triumph and the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign. The strength is needed here my children. Will you pray from my garden in Florida for your priests and the Church and the world? Help me to spread my Son's priestly newsletter in all languages to the priests that they will consecrate their hearts and love my Son Jesus in the Eucharist. Help me to teach my priest-sons and all on the earth about the love of God.

I give you a garden to bring forth great fruit. I stood beneath the cross and I cried for the little ones that would go forever to the fires of hell, I stood beneath the cross and I cried tears of joy for those that would be saved. Will you help me to reach the world with the consecration? Will you help me spread the Shepherds of Christ Movement to the far corners of the earth that all will pray the prayers my Son Jesus gives to the earth? Read the message of January 22, 1998 from Jesus, "A Message to the Earth." Read the 10 Commandments. I am Mary your Mother. Will you help me? I appear as Our Lady Clothed with the Sun to lead the children to the Light. I love you my little children, pray, pray, pray, from the heart.

Will You Help Me Spread My Rosary Book and Messages?

Mary speaks: ...I ask you to pray for the souls that will be lost and the Reign of my Son's Sacred Heart and the Triumph of my Immaculate Heart.

We give to you this mission to help to bring about the mission I gave to you at Fatima.

Help me lead the souls deeply into the Heart of my Son.

It is in Our Hearts you will find the greatest riches. It is in Our Hearts you will find peace. It is in Our Hearts you will be made holy. I call you to consecration. Once again I ask you to greet one another with the line, "I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love."

This will bind you in one heart in Our Hearts in love.

This will help enormously to bring peace and harmony, oneness to the hearts of many.

Have this statement printed on cards and shirts, that people will be reminded to greet one another this way in love.

I come as a Mother to teach my children to love and to obey God.

I give to you the tender messages of my Son found in these writings, they are letters He gives to you that you will know His love. Will you help the world to know how much my Son loves them?

I ask again that rosary tapes of the rosaries be made available from this site and all centers that men will know about the great love my Son has for them.

I ask for these tapes to be made available that I as their Mother may lead them to heartfelt prayer. I want to teach my little children to pray.

Will you come, daily, if possible and pray with us for renewal of the Church and the world?

I say again my children, pray, pray, pray.

God wishes the children of this earth to pray. I appear to teach you my children. I am your Mother. This is the garden to bring forth great fruit on the vine. You are the mothers wailing aloud trying to help me bring forth this fruit for the kingdom. I am Mary your Mother, I appear clothed with the sun wailing aloud as I give birth to a nation that has chosen to ignore their heavenly Mother. I wail aloud in childbirth for this thankless race. You wail with me as you try to lead many home to the Heart of my Son.

Help me my children, please pray the prayers we give you and begin prayer chapters praying the Prayer Manual prayers in churches before the tabernacle...

Mary Is Blasphemed by Her Children

Mary speaks: This is my message for you my holy child,

My children have blasphemed my name. That is why it is so pleasing to me when you recite the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

My children have dishonored me. Do you know dishonor by your children? You understand my pain under the cross for my children that dishonor me.

Do your children reject and forget you, my children? So many reject me and forget me and they make my Son bleed. I see Him as I stand beneath the cross. They are hard-hearted and cold.

I AM THE MOTHER OF GOD.

My children of the earth disrespect and talk about me without honor. They deny me, some laugh about me.

They are the real losers, my little rough children. They do not act like children at all, they act as the beast teaches them on their T.V. screens. They lack sensitivity and love. I am Mary your Mother, I wish to be honored as your Mother. To dishonor me displeases your heavenly Father.

Messenger: God wants us to honor our Mother. He tells us in the 4th Commandment.

Mary said we must make reparation to Their Hearts. I see now why the Virgin Mary likes us to say the Litany to her and why our Lord said it is so powerful. It is so honoring to Our Lady.

To say the Litany to the Sacred Heart pleases the Sacred Heart so much. It gives Him great honor.

I can see why the Good Shepherd includes them in the prayers of the Good Shepherd for they are so honoring to Them.

I love you Jesus, help me to do Thy holy will.

MARY OUR MOTHER

Mary is the Mother of God. God the Father sent His Only Begotten Son.

Mary is conceived immaculate. To not recognize this is to not realize the magnificence of God. God could not come in sin. God, Who is all good, could not be conceived in the body of a person tainted with original sin.

" 'Father,' he said, 'if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done, not mine.'" (Lk. 22:42)

I see that God is all-powerful. I am a little piece of the puzzle. I am not the whole puzzle. My love of Jesus and the Mass is why I write this book.

Mary, conceived without sin, is the New Eve. Mary was made our Mother under the cross. Mary is the Mother of our spiritual life. I have felt the pain of Mary under the cross, the pain for her little, lost children.

Mary is the Mother of God. Christ took on flesh. Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit. She is Mary Immaculate. Jesus took on Mary's flesh and blood. To not love Mary is to not recognize His great love for us. We miss our own dignity and honor. Divinity and humanity meet in Mary.

There are five blasphemies against Mary. She has asked us to make the first Saturday devotion. Sr. Lucia ask Our Lord why there were five first Saturdays.

    He revealed to her:

My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

1. Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception.
2. Blasphemies against Her Perpetual Virginity.
3. Blasphemies against Her Divine Maternity, in refusing
at the same time to recognize Her as the Mother of men.
4. The blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in
the hearts of children indifference or scorn, or even
      hatred of this Immaculate Mother.
5. The offenses of those who outrage Her directly in Her holy images.46

We must make the first Saturday devotion to make reparation to her, for the indifferences against her Immaculate Heart.

I can see the devil pushing man away from Mary! The devil knows that Mary is a link between heaven and earth. There is a great link between God and man in Mary.

We realize more the mystery of God's love for us when we see how God loved Mary.

Act of Incarnation: God unites to man. My greatest pain felt, lately, is under the cross.

Mary knows the great gift given from God to His creatures. She is our spiritual Mother. She experiences the pain of her lost children. She sees before her, her Son covered with blood.

Mary says it is because of pride they do not accept her. It is because of pride, some think Mary cannot be any higher than them. They do not recognize election.

In having this pride, many miss the great messages given from God. In having pride, we miss a major link between heaven and earth in Mary. It is the Father's will that Mary is our spiritual Mother.

We reach a deeper level in the spiritual life only in the heart of Mary. It is His will. She was chosen, sinless, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, and the Mother of God.

We can only go to the deepest chambers of the Heart of Christ through the pure and sinless heart of Mary. We are sinners. She is immaculate.

Besides the messages associated with the major Fatima apparitions, there were other revelations given by Our Lady. Before Jacinta died, she told of other messages given her [during her illness] by Mary:

"Tell them to ask grace from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary…"47

This last message offers us an excellent opportunity to summarize the Fatima message. It tells us "that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary."48

Deep spiritual maturity cannot be achieved without going through the heart of Mary. Jesus came into the world in Mary's womb.

This is the Father's will: for His Son to come into this world, for His Son to be formed in her womb. God wants us to be formed more and more into the image and likeness of Jesus in the spiritual womb of Mary. Jesus wants us to grow in Mary's heart through the Holy Spirit to deepest maturity.

Many, in their willfulness and pride, deny the Mother of God, her Immaculate Conception, and the virgin birth. It is pride, for they do not want to recognize how much God loves Mary. They are proud and/or ignorant and will not recognize another creature higher than they are.

This is how it is: the Child Jesus, God-made-Man, was conceived in the womb of Mary. He was formed in her womb. To reach higher levels of spiritual maturity, we must dwell in the heart of Mary. We are formed there through the power of the Holy Spirit to be more like Jesus. We achieve depth in our relationship with God through Mary.

"And Mary said: 'My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord" (Lk. 1:46) All of us children unite in the heart of Mary. I see such oneness between all of us as we join in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We unite in the heart of Mary. She places us in the Heart of Jesus. There we are united with all Mary's children. He is the Light of the World. His Heart burns - a yellow glow with hot embers. Many are the children of the light. Mary is our Mother. She is calling us to be children of the light. She is Our Lady of Light.

It starts with you and me and with all His holy priests. As we consecrate our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we are one in Their Hearts. I give Jesus and Mary my heart, you give them your heart, we are one in Their Hearts. As the Shepherds of Christ Movement spreads throughout the world, we become one with each other as we give our hearts to Jesus and Mary. There will be one flock and one Shepherd. Father Carter is reaching the priests with the consecration in the priestly newsletter. He is reaching the sisters and religious with the consecration in the religious newsletter. He is reaching the lay people with the Shepherds of Christ Associates prayer chapters for adults and youth centered in consecration of our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Notes:
In February of 1996, we began a new movement, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. In it people volunteer two hours a week in front of the Blessed Sacrament and pray for the renewal of the Church and the world. They consecrate their hearts bi-weekly in front of the tabernacle. We are all joined together to help bring the light to others. This is the center, Jesus in the Eucharist. It is for the renewal of the Church and the world.

Mary is now Our Lady of Sorrows. Her heart was pierced with the willfulness of her children. Her heart is in great sorrow at the loss of her children. She calls us to spread the light to this world, to light up the darkness, to come and be fed by the Chief Shepherd.

The devil has waged a war against the children of the light. Children of the light are richly fed with God's love, given abundantly by Jesus in the Eucharist.

This is the plan of Fatima to reach the world. Hearts must be consecrated to the two Hearts. Fr. Carter is reaching the world in the newsletter for priests, religious, and the associates. All are consecrating their hearts. The children must be reached through the Junior Shepherds of Christ Movement. Children need to consecrate their hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The first Saturday devotion must be observed and spread from the Center.

The Fatima messages say, that the peace or war in our country depends on our consecrating our hearts to Mary. Children must be reached with the consecration. Satan is so strong.

The Father's plan will unfold. We must live according to the will of God with love. Every one of us is given such talents. God carries out the work of redemption through our humanity. We must pray to the Holy Spirit to sanctify us and make us holy.

This is what I suffered under the cross: the sufferings for the little, lost children. Mary wants us to make reparation to her heart. Mary told Jacinta, "Tell them to ask grace from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary."49 By recognizing her Immaculate Conception, we are recognizing the great dignity and honor He has given to Mary, a human person.

We go to the spiritual womb, the heart of Mary, because He wills it so. The depth of our union with Him can only come about through a deeper union with her. He wills it so.

The Father chose Mary as the Mother of God. The Father chose her, from all woman, to be Jesus' Mother. She is espoused to the Holy Spirit. Such dignity that God unites to her to bring forth a Son! If God comes to us in Mary's womb, we can go to God in Mary's heart.

In realizing the immense love God has for Mary, we can realize more His immense love for us in the Eucharist, to unite with us in such union. She carried Jesus in her womb. He is no less present in us when we receive Him in Communion.

Her soul magnifies the Lord. We see how our soul is raised to such heights through His grace. We, human persons, are raised to such heights in His grace. We are created to know, love, and serve Him. We can't leave out service. For, "…he has looked upon the humiliation of his servant. Yes, from now onwards all generations will call me blessed, for the Almighty has done great things for me. Holy is his name." (Lk. 1:48-49)

Father Carter talked about spiritual childhood: the more we become like a little child, the more the Father gives Himself to us.

FORMED IN THE WOMB OF MARY

In order to grow more deeply in my love of Christ, I must unite to the heart of Mary. As Christ was formed in the womb of Mary, we are constantly being formed in her heart through the action of the Holy Spirit, she is a Spiritual Mother. I am constantly being formed in her heart through the action of the Holy Spirit.

Divinity and humanity meet in the womb of Mary. She carried the Christ Child under her heart. The union of the two Hearts began when the Holy Spirit came upon her. She was filled with grace. To house the God-made-Man, she must be full of grace.

Do you ponder on our own graced soul? Do we think of our graced soul after reception of the Eucharist?

THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

Written at Mass:

As Father read the Gospel, I was so connected with each word and filled with such emotion. I was so close to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, so deep in His love.

Every thought of Mary radiated in my body. To hear her name made me want to cry. I love her life. I love Jesus' life. I love the rosary. The rosary is alive in me.

MEN HAVE THEIR ROLE; WOMEN HAVE THEIRS

Written between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
at Holy Cross-Immaculata Catholic Church:

I knew I was supposed to be here. I had such sufferings during the Stations, wrapped in pain. I am so lost in the depth of the emotions. My heart is torn in the Stations.

I love His presence, her presence - I am so wrapped in this presence, I just want to be alone with Them. I just want to be with them in ecstasy.

Jesus says, "…Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" (Mt. 12:48) There is a oneness in the roles of loving. Mary is His Mother, yet she is the New Eve, and He is the New Adam. He says, "…Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" (Mt. 12:48) There is such oneness between all in the Body of Christ. There is such oneness in our hearts when we consecrate our hearts to Them. We are all children of the Father. He wants us to love each other and live according to His will.

In heaven, we will be in harmony, enjoying His love, His goodness, His mysteries. I understand this immense love between all, living in harmony in the Father's will!

We see the Lord, and we adore and worship Him and live in His love. His love is enough for us.

The family is a little church. The father is the head. The wife must obey the husband. She receives the seed. There are little children.

Mary is close to Jesus in one Heart. Wives should be close to their husbands in one heart. Men and women have different roles. When we disregard the virgin birth of Jesus, we disregard the virgin birth of the Church. Mary is always bringing forth her children.

Mary is not respected as she should be. There are blasphemies against Mary, against her as Mother of God, against her Immaculate Conception, against the virgin birth. We must go through the pure one, Mary, to go to the deepest chamber of the Heart of Christ.

Concerning the marital act, the focus many times is not on love between husband and wife and the procreation of children, the focus of this most beautiful act many times in today's world is on giving pleasure. The Church does not agree with artificial contraception. One purpose of the sexual act is procreation of children. When people control the sexual act by artificial birth control, they eliminate the purpose of this act for the procreation of children. The act must be performed according to the Father's will. The sexual act is a beautiful loving act created by God. It is not a dirty act, an act for senseless pleasure. It is a serious act created by God to express love between husband and wife and to bring about the procreation of children. It is God's act to bring a life into the world. He gives the life in this act, created by Him!

The devil has made sin out of so many things. The sexual act is a beautiful act given by God. It should be used according to the Father's plan and treasured.

Love, oh, love, oh love - that is God Himself, but how little is understood of real love! Love and forgiveness go hand-in-hand.

Jesus showed us how He always, always forgave. He forgave Mary Magdalene - His way is love!

To be like Jesus we must strive to eliminate division with others in our hearts. Our hearts must be filled with love. He is Love! To be as He is, is to love. Wives should be subject to their husbands; husbands should love their wives. Their roles are not the same. He gives the seed, she receives the seed and loves it.

Priests are representing Christ to us. He has been anointed and chosen by God and given power, through God, to change bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus. Priests should be shown the highest love, respect, and honor, for they are the chosen sons of God.

The priest must realize the great honor and dignity that is given to him. The priest has the great gift to administer the Sacraments.

Also, the priest should pray over people. The priest should pray over people for their healing. It is so powerful when a priest prays over people.

Women and men have different roles. Christ gave Mary to us as our Mother. Mary's role was not to be an anointed priest. Christ is the Head of the Church. Mary is the Mother of the Church. Her role is to bring forth her children so they are more and more like Jesus. Mary stands beneath the cross. Jesus is above her. He is the New Adam, she is the New Eve. "…Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?…Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." (Mt. 12:48-50) We are one in Him. He raises us to such heights. We share in His divine life.

It is through His Resurrection and Ascension, we share in His life.

We are creatures - He is divine. He allows us to share in His divine life.

He is raised on the cross. He gave Himself on the cross. He gives Himself to us now. We unite with God in the Holy Eucharist (the Mass). At the Offertory, we see the priest mix one drop of water with the wine. This symbolizes our humanity sharing in His Divinity.

He is raised high on the cross above the creatures. He is resurrected from the dead!

In Him, we are raised to new life. He ascends into heaven and opens the gates for us. He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life. It is in Him, we are raised up, as we become partakers in His life.

Life flows from the Father, in the Holy Spirit, through the pierced Heart of Jesus, through the heart of Mary into us, and we act as channels of His life in this world. God is the Source of life. To leave out God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is to leave out the Source of life.

Life is not life if it is not rooted in Him.

The Church is the way this life is channeled to us. The family is a little church. Our roles are as the Father wills - men and women are not the same!

They are as they were created by Him. It is in living according to His will that we will have peace and joy.

We are called to unite with Christ - only in Him will there be peace and joy in our lives.

To make yourself supreme is to try to reign on the earth. You are without power. Only through Him will you operate in love, peace, and joy. God the Father loves us so much. He wants us to love each other as His little children. We must be humble and put aside pride and hatred. His way is love. He is God. He calls us to love in our hearts. He wants us to act like His Son, to love and forgive and be kind.

Alleluia. He is the King of heaven and earth. The Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph!

IT IS THROUGH MARY THAT WE RECEIVE CHRIST

"…it will bruise your head and you will strike its heel." (Gn. 3:15)

The Virgin Mary crushed the head of Satan. Man was in bondage from the sin of Adam. It was through Mary, who conceived of Jesus in her womb, that man was restored to new life.

    Gn. 3:15

"I shall put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
it will bruise your head
and you will strike its heel."

The seed is planted by the priest in the people, for Christ is administering to the people through the priest.

The Word of God should be loved. We are the body of Christ. He loves His body so much. Do we love Him? He is the Head of the body.

LET US LOVE THE TWO HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY
IN THE RECEPTION OF THE HOLY EUCHARIST.

HE GAVE HIMSELF TO US ON THE CROSS. HE GIVES HIMSELF TO US IN THE EUCHARIST.

How great was the act of love, God gave to this world, when He gave Himself and died on the cross. He gives Himself to us this day in the Holy Eucharist.

The greatest commandment is that we must love God with our whole heart, our whole soul, and our whole being. This is a commandment. If we are to enter heaven, we must follow the commandments. They are commands given by God for us to follow.

The greatest act we can do on this earth is an act of loving God. The reason for our existence is to love God. In the sacrament of His greatest love, He gives Himself to us. This is an act of love on His part. We are called to respond by giving ourselves in love to Him.

This is the purpose of the Holy Eucharist: to unite in such oneness with our Holy, Loving God. Our all consuming passion should be that of loving God. How many go to the Eucharist with the sole purpose of giving great love to God? He wants us to love Him. He wants souls to tell Him how much they truly love Him. This is the most intimate act of love when Jesus gives Himself-Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity to man. If it is such an act of love, how are we receiving Him in Communion? We should beg God, in this most intimate union with Him, to help us to love Him with greatest love.

Jesus is a Person. He wants our love. The Holy Spirit wants such intimacy with us. Our Father wants us to love Him. In the Eucharist, we unite with God. In this intimate act of uniting with our beloved God, with Divinity, we must pour out our love to God. We must pour out our heart to the most adorable Heart of Jesus. Jesus is so unjustly treated by many of His beloved souls He loves so much. Let us help make reparation to the Almighty God by loving God with our whole heart, our whole soul, and our whole being in the sacrament of His greatest love. This is the Gift of Himself.

Think of how it is to love someone and give your all for that person, to pour out your heart to him or her and then be treated with coldness and neglect. It hurts our heart so much more when we deeply love someone to be rejected by that person. Jesus loves us with the deepest love. We cannot fully comprehend this love. Let us love Him with the deepest love. Let us love Mary and her Immaculate Heart. Let us love her as the Mother of God. Let us love her as the virgin who bore the Son of God. May we, in the reception of the Eucharist pour out our love to Him, to this adorable Heart. May we pour out our love to His Holy Mother.

Mary said at Fatima that Jesus wants His Heart venerated next to the heart of His Mother. Let us love these two Hearts as we receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Then we are so deeply united with God. We see Their two Hearts surrounded with thorns for the injustices against Their Hearts. Let us help make reparation daily as we receive Him in the Eucharist. This is a special time to help make reparation to Their wounded Hearts.

Let us remember how He poured His love out to us on the cross and how He pours out His love to us now when He gives us Himself in the Eucharist, the Eucharist which contains His Heart of burning love. His Heart was pierced with a lance. Her heart was invisibly pierced with a sword. As the wounds in Their Hearts are deep, so too is Their love so deep.

He does not want "surface love". He wants hearts filled with deep burning love.

THEY COME WITH THORNS IN THEIR HEARTS

Written after Communion:

He emptied Himself. He poured out His Heart, literally blood and water poured out of His Heart. He gives to us this Heart this day in the Holy Eucharist, and He is rejected.

How hard it is when we pour out our hearts to someone we love, when we give love and are rejected by those we want to love us most. This is the hardest to endure.

Jesus, Who is love, gives His all, this magnificent Heart of love, gives Himself to us in the Holy Eucharist and look how He is treated by some of those He loves. This was one of the greatest agonies in the Garden. The Eucharist is the sacrament of His greatest love, given to us. He is treated with disrespect, irreverence, indifference, and neglect in this gift in which God literally gives Himself!

He poured out His Heart to us and He was rejected by many. Today, He pours out Himself in the Holy Eucharist, and He is treated so badly by so many. He asks us, especially in the reception of the Eucharist and in front of the tabernacle, to help make reparation to His adorable Heart for the offenses against Him.

Mary asks us, in the reception of the Eucharist, to help make reparation to her Immaculate Heart for the blasphemies against her heart. They come with the thorns surrounding Their Hearts. I have experienced such agonies in my heart. I feel as if I have had ridges in my heart because it has happened so many times, over and over again and so deep.

These agonies, I believe, are from the thorns piercing Their Hearts for the injustices against Their Hearts. With each act of love I give to Mary, loving her as the Mother of God, loving her in her Immaculate Conception, loving her as the virgin who gave birth to the Son of God, loving her images and statues, I see each thorn turned into a flower, a garland surrounding her Immaculate Heart of love.

I want to love Him with the deepest love, to make reparation for the indifferences, offenses, negligences, disrespect, and irreverence shown to Him in His sacrament of greatest love. I ask Mary, with her pure and Immaculate Heart, to let me love Him more through her heart, that I may love Him with greater love. My greatest desire in life is to give love to my precious and beloved God. I beg Him to help me to unite to Him, to more worthily love Him with the deepest love.

It is in carrying His cross in our hearts, accepting the thorns in life graciously, outpouring our abundant love to Him, that we help make reparation to His Heart which suffered so much during the bitter Passion.

Let us help make reparation to these adorable Hearts in the sacrament of His greatest love, the Holy Eucharist. It is there we can more greatly love Them when we are united to Him in deepest love.

MOTHER OF GOD

Written between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.:

I was filled with such love for God. At the words, "Mother of God", I cried. I love those words. I love her. I love God so much. I love the Angelus. I love the relationship between Jesus and Mary. I realized how she is truly at our side - she spreads her mantle over us!

MARY'S SORROWS

She stood under the cross, and she wept. This was the final separation here on earth. His soul now left His body.

"My Son, my Son," Mary cries out in her heart - for in that moment she knew such anguish and pain for all those that would reject His grace, merited by His life and death on the cross. She knew the souls that would go to hell despite the giving of Himself on the cross.

I love the mysteries of the rosary, for they are the times I meditate on the lives of Jesus and Mary, Their oneness with each other.

She lost her Son in Jerusalem when He was twelve. Within her Immaculate Heart, she knew God from carrying Him in her body and in her arms. She held in her heart the prophecy of Simeon. She knew of sufferings to come recorded in her heart. She knew in her heart the flight into Egypt and the love of her beloved husband Joseph. She knew so much about Jesus in her heart. She watched Him comply to the will of His Father.

How many of her little children this day have separated themselves from God?

(I smelled gardenias the whole time I was in front of the tabernacle at the Holy Spirit Center.)

MARY'S PRESENCE

I went to Holy Cross-Immaculata Catholic Church to pray the rosary with my children. (I met a lady from Toronto who took photos for a magazine. I felt moved to ask her about the pictures. She asked me to pray the rosary).

It was a wonderful rosary. We prayed there before the Lourdes Grotto. Go to Holy Cross-Immaculata Catholic Church I shared intimately with Our Lady and Our Lord there. I love to pray by the Lourdes Grotto and the big Crucifix. Oh how I love God, this is a special place for me to connect to Him and to Mary. Picture Mary young and beautiful in the grotto. See the rocks glistening in a silver light. See her come out of the grotto and the grotto disappear behind her. She is the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She appeared to Bernadette as the Immaculate Conception. I love the grotto there. See her alive with tender, young skin, a very young girl. See her face in the brightest mystical light so young and so beautiful. She is so beautiful because she is so pure and loving. It is through her Immaculate Heart we will unite deeply in the Heart of Christ.

    I love you,

    Rita

~ The Seven Sorrows of Mary ~

1. The Prophecy of Simeon

Mary, Joseph and the Child Jesus went to the Temple. Simeon, the prophet, inspired by the Holy Spirit, met them and told Joseph and Mary of the great sufferings of Jesus and Mary. He told Mary that a sword would pierce her heart. From that point on, Mary ever remembered the prophecy of Simeon whenever she beheld her child. When she looked at His little body, even as an infant, she knew He would suffer. Every time she clothed Him and watched Him at play, her heart was torn in her chest as she knew what He would suffer. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

2. The Flight into Egypt

Joseph was told by the angel to flee. Joseph, Mary, and the Child Jesus had to flee because of what might happen to Jesus. They had to pack for a long stay. The Child Jesus was so small! They left on their journey, hearts full of fear, trying to protect Jesus. They were forced to flee into Egypt.

3. The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple

Imagine the sufferings in Mary's heart when she realized the Child Jesus was not with them. Think of how it would be to lose your child and not know where he was or if anything happened to him. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the Child Jesus. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

4. Jesus and Mary Meet on the Way to the Cross

Song: See the eyes that look at Mary
See the eyes of Jesus and Mary as they met on Calvary. Mary's heart knew Jesus' Heart so well! From the first moment of conception and throughout His life, Mary was so connected with Jesus and now she peered into His eyes. The crown of thorns adorned His head! Blood ran down His face! A heavy cross on His back! Wounded, His whole body covered with bleeding wounds! And her whole life flashed before her, the life that she had spent with Jesus. This was the beloved child that she had held in her arms when Simeon told Mary that a sword, too, shall pierce her heart!

5. Jesus Dies on the Cross

(Silence.)
Mary stood under Jesus' cross as He was put to death. She held in her heart the prophesy of Simeon. "and a sword will  pierce your soul too--so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare." (Lk. 2:35) See Mary in the Temple with Simeon and Joseph holding the baby in her arms. Now Jesus is dead on the cross! He gave His flesh, He gave His blood so that we might be with Him forever in heaven. He held nothing back. He gave His all. Jesus is with us this day. He remains with us in the Eucharist, no less present than the day that he hung on the cross. He longs for us to come and be with Him. He is in our brother. How can we not love our brother when Jesus died for our brother? Her heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. What came forth was blood and water, the sacramental life of the Church. He lives with us this day in the Church. He gives to us His Sacraments, the source of His life! He gives to us the Sacrament of Penance whereby any sin that we commit can be taken away through the priest. He wants us to be so close to Him! He gives us everything to be close to Him. But we see with such limited vision only those things that are right before our face, when the true reality is that which we don't see with our eyes, the reality of the invisible divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the consecrated Host! This is reality! This is our life! This is our power! This is God! And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

6. Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross and Laid in Mary's Arms

If we ever doubted for one second that we were loved, we could visualize the picture of Mary as she sat beneath the cross with the lifeless, battered, bruised and bloodied body of her Son in her arms, the same child that she held when Simeon prophesied her suffering. Jesus gave His last breath. He gave the last beat of His Heart. He gave His all! This is the way He complied with the will of the Father. He came to show us the way. He died in perfect peace. To His death He was in peace because He knew the Father's love. The Father loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for love of us! The Spirit descended upon the Virgin Mary and the Word was made flesh! The love of the Two Hearts! Such immense love beating for us! In all love there is suffering. Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

7. The Burial of Jesus

The lifeless body of Jesus was locked in the tomb. What cold reality for Mary to realize that His body is now gone! A stone separated her from her Son! He gave His last breath! He gave the last beat of His Heart for love of each one of us! And she comes to us this day with her sweet, beautiful voice and she asks us to go to her Son and love Him! How can we refuse Jesus who spread His arms and gave His life for each and every one of us? How can we not trust Him when He loved us so much that He allowed them to tear His flesh, to crown Him with piercing thorns and, lastly, to hang Him on a cross? He truly gave His life for us! He, truly God, is with us this day, the same as the day He died on the cross, in the tabernacle! And we take it so lightly! Death has no power over Him! Locked in the tomb for three days, He rose triumphant on the third day as He had foretold. He comes to give us life. He gives us the sacrament of Baptism that initiates us into His life, that makes us children of God and heirs of heaven if we remain in the state of grace. He asks two things: love of God and love of one another! He came to show us the way and His way is love. To His death on the cross He loved each one of us! He calls out to each one of us here today to be His soldiers, to march on a world that has forgotten God, that has forgotten what it is like to love! It is a battle to live in this world. But the battle is won with hearts that are filled with His love, empowered by the grace and might that He pours out in the Eucharist. He calls out for us to come to the Eucharist and to the tabernacle and be fed with His very flesh and blood. To feed on Divine Life, the greatest nourishment, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God! This is the love He gives. This is the love He asks us to share

June 20, 1998 Message

Genesis 1: 27 - 31

God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.

God blessed them, saying to them, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that move on earth.’ God also said, ‘Look, to you I give all the seed–bearing plants everywhere on the surface of the earth, and all the trees with seed–bearing fruit; this will be your food. And to all the wild animals, all the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that creep along the ground, I give all the foliage of the plants as their food.’ And so it was. God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good. Evening came and morning came: the sixth day.

Genesis 2: 23

And the man said:

This one at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh!
She is to be called Woman,
because she was taken from Man.

June 19, 2000 message continues

Jesus speaks:  I have given you this New Adam, this New Eve. I have given you the new covenant between God and man.

On this feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary I give you this parable:

I took the woman from the side of the man to unite in holy wedlock to bring forth the children of the earth.

I gave you Myself, the Sacrifice, the New Adam, taken from the womb of the Immaculate Mother.

From My side the Church was born.

I have given you the priest from My side. I have given him the vision of Myself always with him.

My Heart is the life of the Church, what comes forth from My Heart is Blood and water administered through the hands of consecrated priests.

I have given My beloved priest a deep union with Myself.

The Church was born from My pierced side.

My Mother stood beneath My cross in great anguish and pain knowing the fate of many.

Luke 2: 34

‘Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed— and a sword will pierce your soul too—so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare.’

Luke 2: 7

and she gave birth to a son, her first–born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the living–space.

June 19, 2000 message continues

Messenger: She stood beneath the cross and her Son hung on that tree of life. He would soon be planted in a tomb in a garden and rise victorious, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

1 Corinthians 15: 20 - 28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first–fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first–fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

June 19, 2000 message continues

Jesus speaks: It would be wise for you to study the messages I gave to you on the day before My Sacred Heart Feast and the Day of the Feast. I speak from My Sacred Heart to you.

Messenger: NOTE: He refers to June 18, 1998, June 19, 1998 and this message for us to study.

Jesus speaks: The devil knows the end is near and you hold the documents to help to cleanse the dirty hearts.

I ask you to study the messages of the day preceeding the Sacred Feast, the Feast of My Sacred Heart and the writing of today.

I wish you to understand the immense war you are experiencing. Your prayers are held mightily and that of your family, Shepherds of Christ, in the hands of the heavenly court.

They are the prayers of the holy ones.

Your earth has fallen into a deep sleep, I took the woman Eve from the side of the man under a deep sleep.

The Woman, Clothed as the Sun, stands triumphant on the snake. She has dominion over him (the devil).

Eve did not listen, she allowed the evil one to be her master. I told them to have dominion over the earth. They ate the fruit, giving in to the devil when I commanded them to not eat of the fruit.

The Church was born from the side of the Savior. The New Eve stands beneath the cross. The Pure, the Immaculate One. The children to be brought forth in pain, the fallen children of Eve.

I give you the permanent sign of the Woman in Florida and your earth is asleep.

The garden has been planted. The flowing water is to come forth from the Rock.

The messages come from the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the children of this earth in need of medicine.

My priest acts in My name to help lead the troubled Church home to My Sacred Heart from which the water will flow copiously on the parched barren earth.

I gave a pair in the garden and the devil divided them.

I came and died. I hung on that tree to give this world life, and My Mother stood beneath the cross to the bitter end, and held My Body before they carried it to the tomb.

You cannot operate independent of one another. You carry the seeds to help the word come alive in the sleeping sick hearts. I am the vine grower. You must surrender to Me and live deeply the messages I give you.

I repeat one more time - the Mass and how you participate in it is the central focus of your lives!

These writings are to be centered on the Mass, that the writings will be written when the dawn appears.

The love of God will blossom in the hearts from these writings. You must hold onto each other and be one for the sake of the world which has mounted the sinking ship to hell.

The Lady Clothed as the Sun is sent to pull them from the dark sea of doom.

She comes, the Ark ready to be boarded, immaculately conceived by the hand of God to bring forth the new race.

Our Lady of Fatima stands beneath the cross in Lucia's vision, over the altar of sacrifice, beneath the hand of God. You are to lead the world home into the Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of the Woman.

THROUGH HIM, WITH HIM and IN HIM,

Revelation 11: 3 - 19

But I shall send my two witnesses to prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, wearing sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lamps in attendance on the Lord of the world. Fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies if anyone tries to harm them; and anyone who tries to harm them will certainly be killed in this way. They have the power to lock up the sky so that it does not rain as long as they are prophesying; they have the power to turn water into blood and strike the whole world with any plague as often as they like. When they have completed their witnessing, the beast that comes out of the Abyss is going to make war on them and overcome them and kill them. Their corpses lie in the main street of the great city known by the symbolic names Sodom and Egypt, in which their Lord was crucified.People of every race, tribe, language and nation stare at their corpses, for three–and–a–half days, not letting them be buried, and the people of the world are glad about it and celebrate the event by giving presents to each other, because these two prophets have been a plague to the people of the world.’

After the three–and–a–half days, God breathed life into them and they stood up on their feet, and everybody who saw it happen was terrified; then I heard a loud voice from heaven say to them, ‘Come up here,’ and while their enemies were watching, they went up to heaven in a cloud. Immediately, there was a violent earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed; seven thousand persons were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors, overcome with fear, could only praise the God of heaven. That was the second of the disasters; the third is to come quickly after it.

The seventh trumpet

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and voices could be heard shouting in heaven, calling, ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.’ The twenty–four elders, enthroned in the presence of God, prostrated themselves and touched the ground with their foreheads worshipping God with these words, ‘We give thanks to you, Almighty Lord God, He who is, He who was, for assuming your great power and beginning your reign. The nations were in uproar and now the time has come for your retribution, and for the dead to be judged, and for your servants the prophets, for the saints and for those who fear your name, small and great alike, to be rewarded. The time has come to destroy those who are destroying the earth.’ Then the sanctuary of God in heaven opened, and the ark of the covenant could be seen inside it. Then came flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and an earthquake and violent hail.

Revelation 12: 1 - 2

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth.

John 19: 25 - 27

Jesus and his mother

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Here is a Rosary that Mary gave

The Sorrowful Mysteries According to Mary

Mary:  My dear children, please pray the rosary. Pray for grace to feel the emotion, the love of Our two Hearts.

The Agony in the Garden

Prayer: I ask for grace to experience emotion and to know the love of Their two Hearts.

  1. Mary:  My children, my Son sweat Blood for you in the garden.
  2. My children, the Apostles slept, when He woke them they did not hear Him.
  3. My children, can you not spend time with my Son today in this special time before Christmas?
  4. My children, Christmas is His birthday.
  5. My children, do you have a gift for your God and your King?
  6. My children, He knelt there in the garden, knowing all the precious souls that would be lost forever and He sweat Blood.
  7. My children, Jesus gave Himself for love of you, for love of your souls.
  8. My children, do you love your own souls? You are here, on a journey, this place is not your end.
  9. My children, My mothers and fathers, it is your responsibility to teach your children about God.
  10. My children, He came to bring peace. My children, peace is found in giving your hearts in consecration to Our two Hearts. My children, recite often to one another "I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love."

Scourging at the Pillar

  1. Mary: My children, my Son was tied to the pillar.
  2. My children, He was held bound.
  3. My children, He is the Light of the World.
  4. My children, He was beaten.
  5. My children, they beat the Son of God.
  6. My children, He could have stopped them.
  7. My children, He endured it for you.
  8. My children, He loves each precious soul, He allowed Himself to be beaten.
  9. My children, His Blood ran to the floor, His Body was marred, His Heart torn with anguish for the souls that would reject Him, including ones that will be lost to the fires of hell today.
  10. My children, will you not pray with me this special novena for your world, for peace, for the Church, will you not pray as I ask you?

The Crowning with Thorns

  1. Mary: My children, I love you and my Son loves you so much.
  2. My children, they mocked my Son, they spit on Him.
  3. My children, they clothed Him in a dirty garment of purple.
  4. My children, they watched Him with eyes of hatred and envy, they spit on Him and mocked Him.
  5. My children, they tore my Heart, the men that abused Him. They abused the precious skin of my beloved Son. My Son, my Baby, my Child. They abused the Son of God. My children, they abuse Him today. He is with you in the Eucharist, you abuse the King, the Son of God.
  6. My children, think of the Heart of perfect divine love.
  7. My children, consumed with love for you, He withstood the torture.
  8. My children, I am Mary your Mother. It is not too late. I plead with you, turn your hearts to God. My children, He loves you.
  9. My children, I stood beneath the cross of my Son and I cried.
  10. My children, I cried tears of sorrow and of joy for the ones that would be lost and the ones that would be saved. (Luke 2:34-35) "Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, ‘Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed--and a sword will pierce your soul too--so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare.’ "

The Carrying of the Cross

  1. Mary: My children, He carried the heavy cross, laden with the sins of the world.
  2. My children, my Son bore your sins on His back.
  3. My children, I looked into His eyes and they spoke to me. They were eyes of love. He seemed to say "I would do anything for My precious souls."
  4. My children, each of you is that special soul He carried His cross for.
  5. My children, He knew you each by name.
  6. My children, His thoughts were for you. His sacrifice was for you. My children, will you not take the Child Jesus into your heart this Christmas? I am your Mother, you must turn your lives to Him. There is not another way. No other way will lead you to joy, to happiness, to peace.
  7. My children, I walked beside Him, He could barely manage the heavy cross. I ask you to see the cross in Florida and envision a man carrying this heavy cross on His back. The cross was so heavy, laden with the sins of the world.
  8. My children, see my Son hanging on the cross in Florida. I appear to lead you to my beloved Son, that you will know His love.
  9. My children, stand beneath the cross with me and shed tears of sorrow and joy. Come to my pure Heart. I will place you deeply in His Heart.
  10. My children, He is Jesus, my children, the Light of the World.

The Crucifixion

  1. Mary: My children, God the Father gives you the Mass today as the Sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made present.
  2. My children, come to my pure Heart and the Heart of my Son. Unite at every moment to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass around the world. Plead through my Immaculate Heart for grace and mercy for your world.
  3. My children, I wish you to look at the pictures.

Cross in China, Indiana

Painting of Lucia's Vision

  1. My children, Florida is my garden to help bring forth great fruit on the earth. Jesus my Son hangs there in the garden, the New Adam. I appear, the New Eve, the Lady Clothed with the Sun.
  2. My children, I appear to lead you to the love of my Son.
  3. My children, I wish you to listen to the Mary Message tape made on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 1996.
Mary: I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes.

Song: O Lady of Light, shining so bright, be with us this day, guiding our way, O Lady, O Lady of Light.

Mary: I appear to you as Our Mother of Sorrows.

My children, please read the message slowly beneath the crucifix.

  1. My children, please feel my emotion in your hearts. Pray for grace to feel the emotion and love of Our two Hearts when you read the message.
  2. My children, I wish you to read John 19: 25-27. "Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home."
  3. My children, I wish you to pray for grace that the priestly newsletter, Mother at Our Side, issue 5, 1998, will reach the priests of this earth.
Pray: "Oh my God, please grant the grace that the priestly newsletter 5, will reach the priests of the earth and they will respond to it. I pray further that the tape or disk will be used by priests and people in private and public gatherings."
  4. My children, pray likewise for newsletter, issue 4, 1998. My children, pray that the people of the earth and the churches pray the prayers my Son gives them and the rosary. (Shepherds of Christ Prayer Manual)
Say: I pray that priests and people use the newsletter 4, that they use the tape and disk and that grace is granted to draw them ever closer to the Heart of Jesus. Please, Lord, help us to spread this newsletter to the ends of the earth. My God, please help the people of the earth to pray the prayers of the Good Shepherd and the rosary.

II. Begin the 6:30 prayer service

  1. Begin praying:  Dear Father in the name of Your Son Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, through the powerful intercession of the Virgin Mary, with all the angels and the saints and the souls in purgatory, we join in one mind and one heart and ask the Holy Spirit to come to all the world in a special way, especially to our priests. We pray all prayers for the priests and the renewal of the Church and the world and for the Shepherds of Christ intentions. By the precious Body and Blood of Jesus we cast out Satan far from this place, our families, the Shepherds of Christ Movement, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, the Church and the world. We ask the Blood of Jesus be spread on us, the Shepherds of Christ Movement, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, the Church and the world. We beg for grace and mercy for the world and wish to make reparation to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We give our hearts to Jesus and Mary with all gathered here in love. We wish to be forgiven for offending one another. We love You God, help us.
  2. Sing A Song from Jesus.   Refrain:  "I come to you with greatest love, I am your loving Savior.  I am your God, I died for you, I come to you this day."
