Today's First Reading

Daniel 7: 9-10, 13-14

While I was watching,
thrones were set in place
and one most venerable took his seat.
His robe was white as snow,
the hair of his head as pure as wool.
His throne was a blaze of flames,
its wheels were a burning fire.
A stream of fire poured out,
issuing from his presence.
A thousand thousand waited on him,
ten thousand times ten thousand
   stood before him.
The court was in session
and the books lay open.

I was gazing into the visions of the night,
when I saw,
coming on the clouds of heaven,
as it were a son of man.
He came to the One most venerable
and was led into his presence.
On him was conferred rule,
honour and kingship,
and all peoples, nations and languages
    became his servants.
His rule is an everlasting rule
which will never pass away,
and his kingship will never come to an end.

Today's Psalm

Psalm 97, 1-2, 5-6, 9

The triumph of Yahweh

Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice,
the many isles be glad!
Cloud, black cloud enfolds him,
saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.

The mountains melt like wax,
before the Lord of all the earth.
The heavens proclaim his saving justice,
all nations see his glory.

For you are Yahweh,
Most High over all the earth,
far transcending all gods.

Today's Second Reading

2 Peter 1, 16-19

When we told you about the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were not slavishly repeating cleverly invented myths; no, we had seen his majesty with our own eyes. He was honoured and glorified by God the Father, when a voice came to him from the transcendent Glory, This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. We ourselves heard this voice from heaven, when we were with him on the holy mountain.

The value of prophecy

So we have confirmation of the words of the prophets; and you will be right to pay attention to it as to a lamp for lighting a way through the dark, until the dawn comes and the morning star rises in your minds.

Today's Gospel

Luke 9, 28-36

The transfiguration

Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray. And it happened that, as he was praying, the aspect of his face was changed and his clothing became sparkling white. And suddenly there were two men talking to him; they were Moses and Elijah appearing in glory, and they were speaking of his passing which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep, but they woke up and saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As these were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, ‘Master, it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what he was saying. As he was saying this, a cloud came and covered them with shadow; and when they went into the cloud the disciples were afraid. And a voice came from the cloud saying, ‘This is my Son, the Chosen One. Listen to him.’ And after the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. The disciples kept silence and, at that time, told no one what they had seen.

Excerpt from December 22, 1998 Daily Message

On January 9, 1996, I went to pray. The snow was so bad the street was blocked to Holy Cross-Immaculata. I finally managed to find a place to park and trudged through the snow, panting with joy to be with Our Lord in the tabernacle there. When I arrived all I could do was kneel before the Sacred Heart statue and pour out myself to Him.

From my writings of January 9, 1996, I write:

"I was engulfed again in my love of God and cried so hard because I love Him so much. In this intimate act of giving myself totally to Him, my whole act was in emptying myself, wanting only to be lost in Him and united forever to Him in this most blissful moment. I turned myself over and was lost in Him, knowing His presence with me and knowing His deep love. The world stopped and I existed in Him, longing to forever stay there, so this moment would never end."

"I touched you, God and in this embrace I knew your unending love. I saw Your Body as if it was transfigured and glowing in light and I was lost in Thee."

This is how it began. I would see a great reflective light, as if from a mirror, on the eaves of the church in the front of Holy Cross-Immaculata and His Body was changed in the most brilliant light before my eyes. I cannot describe what I saw, nor have I ever seen it except in this vision and two that would follow the next two days. Jesus was transfigured before my eyes.

The date of January 9, 1996, when it first happened, was the same date January 9, 1994, when I genuflected before the crucifix and the altar at St. Gertrude's and the Father spoke; Blue Book II-page 18, January 9, 1994: "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."

On January 9, 1996, I would see Jesus transfigured before me in the statue.

At the end of December, on the 5th of the month, 1996, I would see Him in the back of the church on the crucifix at the point of death.

On August 20, 1997, I would see the glorified Lord as He appeared in magnificent light transfigured on the crucifix at St. Gertrude's church in Maderia, Cincinnati, Ohio.

THIS IS JESUS, SON OF THE
                            LIVING GOD

"This is My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased
         listen to Him."

Messenger: I went to Mass and a very holy priest said the Mass.

I was overwhelmed with the presence of God and the
grace God gave me filled my soul.

All I wanted was to be so one with Him and see
Him as I once did transfigured before me.

The whole Mass I cried so deeply inside wanting
to exist in these moments and wanting
                        them not to end.

I want to be flooded with His grace and His
presence I want to be so existent in Him
wanting this ecstasy to never end.

I love Him so deeply, my thirst for Him
                    is so great.

This day, this feast is so important to
me. My heart sings, I love the word
transfiguration, I can hear the Father speak
as He once did and I cry so deeply.

Listen to the words of the Father
"This is My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased."

                    Hear Him speak.

Let your heart swell with so deep of love
                        for Our Divine God.

I hear it over and over again and I feel the emotion
so deep inside as He spoke
"This is My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased
                         listen to Him."

I see Him transfigured before my eyes,
glistening in a way I cannot describe
in words and I know Him, my
Divine God. My heart is existent
in Him. I am one with Him in
                        these moments of consecration and
                        communion.

I see the priest raise the host.

August 6, 2001 Second Message

Messenger: Some people may feel very connected to a
                         particular person in
their heart and the other; because
                         of their own insecurity and
issues, thinks the person is thinking
                         derogatory thoughts about them.

I remember a woman telling me once how
her husband told her over and over again
he loved her and she wouldn't believe
it. She thought he thought things he
                         wasn't even thinking. She said
now she listens to him and believes
him and knows he loves her.

Some people may not believe they are lovable.
Even when people tell them how much
they love them, they think negative
thoughts about themselves and do not
listen to or believe what the other says.

Many times, we think people are thinking
                         negative thoughts about us and
                         they aren't thinking that
                         at all.

When we love someone deeply we show
this deep love by what we do
                         for them. We show them
how important they are to us
in so many ways. Looking for
                         verbal affirmation constantly
                         from another and not recognizing
                         other signs of love may
make us feel disappointed when we
                         shouldn't be.

We must realize we are lovable and
                         others may feel deeply connected
                         to us in their hearts.
Even if we have not talked to the
other person for a long time we
can stay deeply connected in our hearts.

The connection is in our hearts in Him.
We show our love by how we act,
how we give ourselves to the other
                         in love.

It can be a painful lesson if someone
loves us very much and we can make
it hard on them if we are constantly ignoring
a lot of loving actions and want their
                         recognition on our terms.

People can die and we can see many
mistakes we made in not recognizing
the love that they gave us.

We should thank God for the gifts of love
He has given to us through others.
We should show appreciation and love
                         to others and to God.

A man may show his wife his love in his
way, caring for the family, etc., being
                         there as a friend.

A religious may show deep love in their service of the
                         community.

We must thank God for the people he gives
us in our lives and for their love.
There is so many things we need to
look at. We need to recognize the love
given to us, every day by those
                         around us.

                     Mostly we recognize how truly
God loves us. He fills us with
His love and we can give love
                         to others.

Jesus speaks: My children, do not give into negative thoughts.
                            Satan wants you bowed down.
Satan wants you to think people are
                                 thinking negative thoughts
                                 about you.

A person can bring to a situation
lots of past issues. It may be a simple thing.
                             You will find freedom
when you embrace the truth. Look inside yourselves.
Recognize your faults and be happy that you see them
so you can work toward greater perfection.

Love your brothers and most of all
know how dearly I love you.
Look at the gifts of love you are given from
so many others every day and be
                            thankful for this love.

Be Christ-like in all your actions.

                        I love you so much.

                            Jesus

August 6, 2001 Third Message

Messenger: My thirsting is for the Mass.

                        my soul.

                        readings for each season.

                        of the year.

My heart sings for God has given us
                        such gifts.

Excerpt from Newsletter July/August 1997

The Gift of the Eucharist

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep and runs away as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; this is because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep." (Jn 10:11-151)

A faithful shepherd takes care of his sheep in all their needs. This includes providing them with the proper food. Jesus, the perfect Shepherd, abundantly provides for the nourishment of His flock. In the Eucharist He gives Himself in His body, blood, soul and divinity for our spiritual growth. He also feeds us through His word, through His teaching. The gospel of John, in Chapter 6:35-59 combines both of these ways-Christ nourishing us through His teaching and through the Eucharist. This particular section of John's gospel gives us Jesus' great discourse on the Bread of Life. The first part, verses 35-50, speaks of the teaching of Jesus as nourishment, as the bread of life. This first part contains, therefore, the so-called sapiential theme. The second part, verses 51-59, speaks of the Eucharist as our heavenly nourishment. This part, therefore, contains the sacramental theme. The Mass, of course, contains both aspects of John's Bread of Life theme. In the Mass we have the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist-and they are profoundly connected.

Both aspects of the Bread of Life theme reveal God's tremendous love for us. The Eucharist is the sacrament of Jesus' great love for us, and His teaching is summed up in terms of love-God's overwhelming love for us and our duty to love God and neighbor. Each day we should pray for an increased realization of how much God, in Christ Jesus Our Lord, loves each of us with a most special, unique love. Growing in this awareness and living according to this awareness are keys to growth in the spiritual life. The more we are convinced of how much Jesus loves us as unique individuals, the more able are we to enter into a deep love relationship with Jesus. And, if we have the proper love relationship with Jesus, everything else falls into place. Yes, as our union with Jesus grows, He leads us, amid all the pain and all the joy, to an ever closer union with the Father in the Holy Spirit with Mary, our Mother, at our side.

Romans 13: 11-14

Children of the light

Besides, you know the time has come; the moment is here for you to stop sleeping and wake up, because by now our salvation is nearer than when we first began to believe. The night is nearly over, daylight is on the way; so let us throw off everything that belongs to the darkness and equip ourselves for the light. Let us live decently, as in the light of day; with no orgies or drunkenness, no promiscuity or licentiousness, and no wrangling or jealousy. Let your armour be the Lord Jesus Christ, and stop worrying about how your disordered natural inclinations may be fulfilled.

Matthew 24: 37-44

Be on the alert

‘As it was in Noah’s day, so will it be when the Son of man comes. For in those days before the Flood people were eating, drinking, taking wives, taking husbands, right up to the day Noah went into the ark, and they suspected nothing till the Flood came and swept them all away. This is what it will be like when the Son of man comes. Then of two men in the fields, one is taken, one left; of two women grinding at the mill, one is taken, one left.

‘So stay awake, because you do not know the day when your master is coming. You may be quite sure of this, that if the householder had known at what time of the night the burglar would come, he would have stayed awake and would not have allowed anyone to break through the wall of his house. Therefore, you too must stand ready because the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Mark 13: 33-37

Be on the alert

‘Be on your guard, stay awake, because you never know when the time will come. It is like a man travelling abroad: he has gone from his home, and left his servants in charge, each with his own work to do; and he has told the doorkeeper to stay awake. So stay awake, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming, evening, midnight, cockcrow or dawn; if he comes unexpectedly, he must not find you asleep. And what I am saying to you I say to all: Stay awake!’

Luke 21: 25-28, 34-36

Cosmic disasters and the glorious appearing of the Son of man

‘There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; on earth nations in agony, bewildered by the turmoil of the ocean and its waves; men fainting away with terror and fear at what menaces the world, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand erect, hold your heads high, because your liberation is near at hand.’

Be on the alert

‘Watch yourselves, or your hearts will be coarsened by debauchery and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day will come upon you unexpectedly, like a trap. For it will come down on all those living on the face of the earth. Stay awake, praying at all times for the strength to survive all that is going to happen, and to hold your ground before the Son of man.’

Romans 15: 4-9

And all these things which were written so long ago were written so that we, learning perseverance and the encouragement which the scriptures give, should have hope. Now the God of perseverance and encouragement give you all the same purpose, following the example of Christ Jesus, so that you may together give glory to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one heart.

Accept one another, then, for the sake of God’s glory, as Christ accepted you. I tell you that Christ’s work was to serve the circumcised, fulfilling the truthfulness of God by carrying out the promises made to the fathers, and his work was also for the gentiles, so that they should give glory to God for his faithful love; as scripture says: For this I shall praise you among the nations and sing praise to your name.

Messenger: I am so sorry for my sins, when
He gives me a light and I see
so clearly how this is real.

                     How God is real!
Jesus Christ, the Son of God is real!!

He lifts me up, I see so clearly the truth
that this is real and I am in
so much joy to read the
                         Word of God.

John 6: 52-59

Then the Jews started arguing among themselves, ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’ Jesus replied to them:

In all truth I tell you,
   if you do not eat
the flesh of the Son of man
   and drink his blood,
you have no life in you.
Anyone who does eat my flesh
      and drink my blood
   has eternal life,
and I shall raise that person up
      on the last day.
For my flesh is real food
and my blood is real drink.
   Whoever eats my flesh
      and drinks my blood
    lives in me
and I live in that person.
As the living Father sent me
and I draw life from the Father,
    so whoever eats me
will also draw life from me.
    This is the bread
       which has come down from heaven;
it is not like the bread our ancestors ate:
     they are dead,
but anyone who eats this bread
        will live for ever.

This is what he taught at Capernaum in the synagogue.

Excerpt from August 11, 2000 Daily Message

Messenger: And He gave us the wonders of the earth.

Why do we not see how good He is to us?

Why do we not trust Him?

Messenger: To have His life so deeply planted in our soul should be our desire.

As St. Paul says:

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

Messenger: We gaze at the beauty of snow-capped mountains and gape at the lily pads on a glistening lake. Our eyes behold a falls of enormous proportion and beauty. We love Him and He is the Creator, and these things, the beauty, He has created for us to enjoy.

The depth of knowing Him increases as we are penetrated more and more with His grace.

The depth of loving increases as we are saturated with His life.

Every moment of this life we live more fully as we exist more and more in Him through a deeper penetration of His grace.

I see the mountains and the transfigured Lord. Let our eyes behold His vision. He is a God of goodness and He loves us so.

Let us experience insight into the divine mysteries more and more and taste the beauty of those who know they are loved by God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Where before we knew so little of the Trinity, we relate more fully with each Person and we know the oneness and the trinity of God.

What a gift to know more fully our Divine, Beautiful, all loving God.

God is Creator, we are His creatures. All that He creates reflects His goodness and His love. He is just and right. We must honor Him and love Him and thank Him for His gifts given to us.

Alleluia, praise Him, Our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

August 11, 2000 - Second Message

Walk in the TRUTH

Messenger:

The blue of the sky we cannot capture exactly.

The white of the snow.

The color of the smoke of the geyser.

Do we not see the fire of the stars, the light of the sun, the denseness of the black night. It is the creation of God and we cannot describe it exactly as it is.

God speaks:

Oh, open your eyes, men, and see the softness of the skin of the baby, the intricacies of a human ear, the complexities of a human eye and the master mind of the Creator in the function of a human heart.

Oh, blind men, those who are so prideful, bow to God your Creator. See with the eyes of faith.

It is I who paint the hills with My mystical wand. It is reality. So, too, the things you do not see, they are real. It is your perception that is off. God Is and He is Divine and you cannot create as I do.

Get off your pedestals and live in reality. I am Supreme, you are under Me, but I elevate you to such  heights.

Oh, men of the earth, worship God your Creator, be humble, live in the truth. If you are intelligent it is because of My grace and My goodness.

Huffy little men. Let Me see you produce the beauty of a sunlit field, from sun to flower. My men, you are limited, you are human, you are My creatures and I am your God. Recognize Me and live in the truth. Be docile to the hand of God in your life.

Oh, children of the light, hear Me, I am God.

I am the Light of the World.

In Me you live in the light.

Messenger:

My eyes beheld the beauty of the night, the stars, the moon.

My eyes beheld the sunlit day and the wonders of the lake and heard the trickle of the falls. First, faintly, and then as I approached, the sound of roaring water.

Why do men not comprehend the goodness of God? Why do they abuse Him with slang and slanting remarks?

The forest can burst into flame in the heat of the day and what was once a beauteous field, a garden of fruit, a forest of fir trees, can become lands of waste at the hands of the elements or what have you.

A home of lustrous beauty, ravaged by a violent wind of enormous proportion and you cry and then when the reality sets in you say, "Oh, but I have my life and the life of my children."

Oh, what is it that man can be so blind and then when health is taken away from a man, he sees those things that are transcendent, he sees the glory of God and the promise of everlasting life to those who love and serve the Lord.

We do not see and we do not understand the ways of God and yet in it all, He is attempting to lead us to Him, and He gives us the gifts of the universe. He gives us love.

A PLEDGE FROM AN APOSTLE OF THE SACRED HEART

Messenger:

I am but a little speck on this earth,
but with His might He can use me
to spread the devotion to His
                 Most Sacred Heart.

Oh dear and precious Heart of Jesus
I give myself as completely as
possible to Thee so you will use
me to spread the devotion to the
ends of the earth for Your most
                 precious Heart.

I am Rita your precious soul.

Use me to help to spread this burning
devotion to the souls of this earth.

I am yours, take me, use me as you
                 will.

          I surrender myself to you.

It is your might behind me, your power
that sends me. I am an Apostle of
the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I give
myself as completely as possible to
                 Thee.

Sacred Heart of Jesus I place my
                 trust in Thee.

Father hear us please. We beg through
                the  intercession of Father Carter
and Our Lady of Clearwater that
prayer chapters are started all over
the world and the Priestly Newsletter
                gets there immediately with the
                Prayer Manual.

Mary's Message from the Rosary of August 27, 1996Sorrowful Mother

Mary speaks: I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

A Note from the President of Shepherds of Christ:

If you are devoted to Our Lady's rosary, we need your help! A member of our ministry is very devoted to Our Blessed Mother and he is helping to teach us how to grow our volunteer rosary makers. He estimates that we will need approximately $37,000 this year for beads alone! This translates into 22,339,500 rosary beads (yes, 22 million beads) assembled by volunteers into 378 thousand rosaries. The biggest users of our rosaries are the Catholic schools, who requested more than 100,000 rosaries last year.

Can you help us? I appeal to you for funds, whether large or small. We give because we love God, we love our Blessed Mother, and we love souls. We will accept gifts in many forms, besides cash or check donations, we can receive gifts directly in the form of stocks or property. These gifts can offer large tax advantages to the donor and increase the monetary value of the gift to us. Also if you can help assemble rosaries we need your help! If you can help us in anyway, please call or write us. God Bless!

I love you,
John Weickert

A rosary can be used to pray for healing. It is powerful to unite our prayers to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and pray through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater.

In times of trouble, for special prayer, we can use our rosary and pray as follows.

A Rosary for Healing or for Someone with Cancer.

On one Hail Mary bead or as many as you desire, say:

May God heal                     through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater in union with the Mass and all the Masses being celebrated around the world.

Pray the Hail Mary or Hail Mary's then pray this after the Hail Mary.

May the cancer be uprooted and thrown into the sea.

We believe with all our hearts.

After the Glory Be — pray the following petition.

May                     be healed through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater if it be the holy will of God.

Note: You can look at Mary on the image rosary while you pray this rosary.

Note: The above section can be printed out from a PDF file, and you can pray the rosary looking at the pictures.

December 17, 2000, Mary speaks:

Help me to circulate my red and blue
    Rosary Books and the
prayers my Son gives to you.

This is a gift we give you.
All the revelations are gifts given to you.
My Son is the Light of the World.
He is Jesus born in a stable.
Will you help me?
He is the Light of the World. Help me, help me
reach my children of the world.

Question for married couples and others in intimate relationships:

Q: How can I help our life to be fuller by living more and more at the top of the mountain through hourly prayer?

How do I feel our hourly prayer, praying even a short prayer by ourselves on the hour, and staying united as a married couple, will help the souls?
