Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

               September 9, 2017

                R. God has used storms in the time of
                Noah –

                Distorted image of God
                Distorted image of others
                Distorted image of self

                Man prefers himself
                    to God –

                    Seduced by the devil –

                God gives us baptism, a
                    sharing in His Divine Life.

Man rejects this gift for his evil.

                Man sees himself equal
                    to God.

                Sin – disorder, not harmony
                    with God – disobedience

                Relationships have been ruptured –

We are accountable to God for
                    disobedience to God –
                    for our sins –

Blaming others for our sin –

                Not taking personal responsibility –

                Seeking dominance for dominance
                    sake –

                Concupiscence

                Attraction to sin –

                R. Grace moves us to God

Concupiscence moves us to sin –

                Rebellion to God's will –

                Disobedience to God's law

                Lack of personal responsibility –
                    and consequences for sin –

                God is all powerful –

The devil is a fallen angel –
                    why would someone rebel
                    against God the Creator
and serve satan as their Master?

                Sin is Disorder –

Sin is against God's will –

Sin is rebellion against God –

Sin offends God who is all
                    good and deserves our love.

                Until the time of Noah
Sin grew – more and more
                    sin – man became
                    more corrupt.

Genesis 6: 7

And Yahweh said, ‘I shall rid the surface of the earth of the human beings whom I created–human and animal, the creeping things and the birds of heaven–for I regret having made them.’

                R. God desires to cleanse the
infection of sin from the world.

                Sin is slavery –

Men's lives at the time of Noah
                    was corrupt –

We can make a choice to do
                    good, obey God's laws or
sin and disobey God's laws –

We have a free will to obey the
laws of God or disobey –

We are to obey God our Creator
and draw closer to God –

                The flood of Noah prefigures
                    the waters of baptism –

1 Peter 3: 20-21

They refused to believe long ago, while God patiently waited to receive them, in Noah’s time when the ark was being built. In it only a few, that is eight souls, were saved through water. It is the baptism corresponding to this water which saves you now—not the washing off of physical dirt but the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Genesis 7: 11-13

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, and on the seventeenth day of the month, that very day all the springs of the great deep burst through, and the sluices of heaven opened. And heavy rain fell on earth for forty days and forty nights.

Genesis 7: 23

Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out, people, animals, creeping things and birds; they were wiped off the earth and only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

                R. Our heart is to be holy –

                Our heart should be free
                    of debris –

                We should know ourselves –

We should have a good conscience.

From our heart we know, love and
                    serve God –

                God reads our hearts –

God wants us to have a pure heart –
holy heart – like Jesus and Mary's
                    Hearts –

Our hearts are to be dedicated
                    to God –

From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p.12

                        23. FIRST PRINCIPLE AND FOUNDATION

Man is created to praise, reverence and serve God
our Lord, and by this means to save his soul.

                R. Remember the tower of Babel –

They wanted to make a city to
                    the sky –

                They wanted to worship themselves.

They did not know their place
                    under God –

Live like God – without God.

                God confused the speech of
                    the whole world –

                April 18, 2016 - 1:30am

                R. Dear Heavenly Father,

I offer You all my prayers, works, joys
and sufferings in union with the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass, all day. I give You my life, dear
God, to do with. Dear God please help us
spread this message and these prayers for
the renewal of the Church and the world –
                Oh please God help us.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

end of Mary's Message

                R. Christ carried the cross laden with our sins
and His legs hurt Him, His body hurt all over.

God has given to us so many pleasures just
to maintain life. He has given us the gift of
water and food and friendship and love –
                communication.

God has given us the Church and baptism
and the Eucharist. Let us focus on the true
presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Let us focus
on receiving Jesus and being able to be with
Jesus before the Blessed Sacrament. I love the
Eucharist so much, I love to be with Jesus
before the Eucharist in adoration. I know His
presence. I know God outpours His grace to us
when we pray to Him. I know, more and more,
what a gift it is to go to Mass and to receive
Jesus and what a gift it is to be before Him
in adoration in the Blessed Sacrament.

Oh Jesus – You are the Bread of Life –
I come to You and I know Your presence
with me. I love to be there with You.
I love You, Jesus, so much.

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

                Today's Readings

Acts 11: 1-18

The apostles and the brothers in Judaea heard that gentiles too had accepted the word of God, and when Peter came up to Jerusalem the circumcised believers protested to him and said, 'So you have been visiting the uncircumcised and eating with them!' Peter in reply gave them the details point by point, 'One day, when I was in the town of Jaffa,' he began, 'I fell into a trance as I was praying and had a vision of something like a big sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners. This sheet came right down beside me. I looked carefully into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of heaven. Then I heard a voice that said to me, "Now, Peter, kill and eat!" But I answered, "Certainly not, Lord; nothing profane or unclean has ever crossed my lips." And a second time the voice spoke from heaven, "What God has made clean, you have no right to call profane." This was repeated three times, before the whole of it was drawn up to heaven again.

'Just at that moment, three men stopped outside the house where we were staying; they had been sent from Caesarea to fetch me, and the Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going back with them. The six brothers here came with me as well, and we entered the man's house. He told us he had seen an angel standing in his house who said, "Send to Jaffa and fetch Simon known as Peter; he has a message for you that will save you and your entire household."

'I had scarcely begun to speak when the Holy Spirit came down on them in the same way as it came on us at the beginning, and I remembered that the Lord had said, "John baptised with water, but you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit." I realised then that God was giving them the identical gift he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; and who was I to stand in God's way?'

This account satisfied them, and they gave glory to God, saying, 'God has clearly granted to the gentiles too the repentance that leads to life.'

Psalm 42: 2-3; 43: 3-4

I thirst for God,
    the living God;
when shall I go to see
    the face of God?

I have no food but tears
    day and night,
as all day long I am taunted,
    'Where is your God?'

Send out your light and your truth;
    they shall be my guide,
to lead me to your holy mountain
to the place where you dwell.

Then I shall go to the altar of God,
to the God of my joy.
I will rejoice and praise you on the harp,
    O God, my God.

John 10: 1-10

'In all truth I tell you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold through the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a bandit. He who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the flock; the gate-keeper lets him in, the sheep hear his voice, one by one he calls his own sheep and leads them out. When he has brought out all those that are his, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him because they do not recognise the voice of strangers.'

Jesus told them this parable but they failed to understand what he was saying to them.

So Jesus spoke to them again:

In all truth I tell you,
I am the gate of the sheepfold.
All who have come before me
are thieves and bandits,
but the sheep took no notice of them.
I am the gate.
Anyone who enters through me
   will be safe:
such a one will go in and out
and will find pasture.
The thief comes
only to steal and kill and destroy.
I have come
so that they may have life
and have it to the full.

                R. Jesus shows us Himself as the Good Shepherd –

We are commissioned in baptism to go out
                    and spread the Good News.

We must pray for men to be converted –
Do all we can to help sinners find the way –

Our prayers given, uniting all we do, all day,
to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass –

This is how we love our brothers –
We do what we can to witness to Jesus –
We live our life spreading the Good News –
We give from our hearts – love – because
                God is love –

We were created in the image and likeness
                    of God –

We see Jesus who gave so much for us. When
we are like Jesus, we are people with
loving hearts, caring for others, there is not
room for darkness and anger in our hearts –
                God is love –

Those who need to be converted, who have wronged
us need our prayers, we pray for them
to know Christ – to give love –
We pray for ourselves to unite our lives
like a sacrifice – where we live to
love, to give, to be one with Christ –

We identify our lives with His. We pray
for His grace to help us to be more and more in
                His image and likeness.

We pray through the powerful intercession
of Our Lady of Clearwater – for the world
to be pure and holy –

The Good Shepherd leads the flock –
The Good Shepherd protects the flock –
Jesus was not a hired man, but the Good Shepherd –
Jesus laid down His life for the flock –
We must, go through Jesus, then we will be safe –

John 15: 1-8

I am the true vine,
and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in me that bears no fruit
he cuts away,
and every branch that does bear fruit
     he prunes
to make it bear even more.
You are clean already,
by means of the word
that I have spoken to you.
Remain in me, as I in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself,
unless it remains part of the vine,
neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
is thrown away like a branch
—and withers;
these branches are collected
     and thrown on the fire
and are burnt.
If you remain in me
and my words remain in you,
you may ask for whatever you please
and you will get it.

                R. Jesus is the Good Shepherd – He laid down
His life for the flock –

We think about our vocation –

Have we laid down our lives according
to the vocation God has called us to –

God has called us to a certain vocation –
to seek our eternal happiness living
in obedience to the vocation God
                    has called us to –

The Good Shepherd laid down His life for
                    the flock –

The Good Shepherd teaches us about doing
                    the Father's will –
Jesus gave His all doing the will of the
Father in love – with energy
                        and love –
Jesus was like a runner in a race –
He laid down His life doing the
                        Father's will –
Jesus held back nothing – meditate
how Jesus shows us how to love –
how to witness in our vocation –

Jesus' Heart full of love for the sheep –
Jesus' Heart full of love for man –

The Father loves the Good Shepherd
because He laid down His life
                    for the sheep.

Jesus gave freely doing the Father's will –
                God wants unity –
Jesus wants the flock to be one –
Jesus shows us how He sacrificed to
                    make the flock united –

The Church is One, Holy, Catholic and
                    Apostolic.

God has called the Shepherds of Christ to help
spread these prayers praying for the renewal
of the Church and the world –
So the flock will be more and more one,
                    united in Christ –
Consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus –

Jesus wants us to Consecrate our Hearts
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary –

                Total Consecration is giving –

Our lives are lived to give love – to
give of oneself more and more –
following the footsteps of Jesus –
who lived to do the Father's will –

Jesus laid down His life for the flock –

                R. Jesus held nothing back –

John 20: 19

In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, 'Peace be with you,'

                R. We see that the disciples formed Christian
communities – they were in one mind
and one heart and the communities
grew – their love of God and love
for each other gave witness to others
                    to come and be baptized.

There is one flock and one Shepherd.

We see how the martyrs helped the Church
                    grow –

Christ shed His Blood and the Martyrs
                    shed theirs –

We must be grateful for what God has
                    done for us –

We are grateful to Christ who is the
way, the truth and the life –
Christ the Good Shepherd who laid
down His life for the flock –

We are grateful to the disciples and
martyrs and all who went before
us to help build up the Church
as it is today and we know in
justice – we as members of the
mystical body of Christ, in our
vocation are to give what is our duty
                    and responsibility today –
To lay down our lives for the flock –
To work as one to spread the Good News –
We have a responsibility to follow in the
                        footsteps of Jesus –

Faith is a gift from God –

From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
    by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p. 12

                        23. FIRST PRINCIPLE AND FOUNDATION

Man is created to praise, reverence and serve God
our Lord, and by this means to save his soul.

                R. Men shout with joy in this season, for
Christ has risen from the dead –

He calls us to commitment to the vocation
He has called us to –
We see the Good Shepherd who laid
down His life for the flock –

                We celebrate the resurrection –
We work as one – sharing and
                    loving one another in Christ
                    our head –

We see how the Church spread –
In Shepherds of Christ God has called us
to spread this message of the Blue Books and
to spread these prayer chapters to the far
                    ends of the earth –

We see the fervor of the Apostles –

We can see the fervor of those in Blue Book 16
that worked together to do the Ministries
and to spread this Movement, the
                    Prayer Chapters, the Consecration
to the Church and schools and
family and elderly, and to all
                    as Jesus commissioned Fr. Carter
                    and me, as Co-founder –

We see the calling God gave the leaders and
Apostles in the Shepherds of Christ
                    to come on 13ths and 5ths –
to join after the prayers on the 13th
to spread the words in the
community as we ate together –
to be focused in that hour after
the prayers on the 13th – to be
leaders – to spread the work
of the Shepherds of Christ to the
pilgrims and members – to support
the 4 hours of prayer with the people
                        that God had called –

Support the day on the 13th –

Materials on the table – in the
store – rosary kits, prayer chapters –

The work of those who were called the
                    leaders during this valuable
                    time of interaction –

                Committing and bearing witness
to the people as they communicated
                    after the prayers –

                Support –

We see the message several days ago –
Jesus gave – about the witness is
not in the words alone –
the person tells the community, the
                    members of their support and
unity as a leader by their
                    actions –
Unity – love – commenting on
                    the prayer, the Ministries,
It's about the Good Shepherd that
lays down His life for His flock –
the hired man runs away because
he is not a shepherd and the flock
scatters when the wolf comes –

Jesus is the Son of God. We see how John
witnessed to Christ. We see how Paul
witnessed to Christ. We see how Peter
                    witnessed to Christ –
                    and the Church grew –
they were shepherds – they laid down
their life for the flock – they
didn't run off like the hired man –

John 10: 27-30

The sheep that belong to me
    listen to my voice;
I know them and they follow me.
I give them eternal life;
they will never be lost
and no one will ever steal them
    from my hand.
The Father, for what he has given me,
    is greater than anyone,
and no one can steal anything
    from the Father’s hand.
The Father and I are one.

                R. The sheep hear the voice of the Good Shepherd –

God knows who is faithful and does
the work of witnessing – being
                    there – living their vocation
helping the flock to be one –

They hear the voice of the Good Shepherd –
they follow Jesus – not have their
own plan and own voice drowning out Jesus –

And Jesus gives to them, the promise
of eternal life for believing in Him,
witnessing to Him – doing the
                    Father's will in love –

The Good Shepherd protects the sheep –
He is not a hired man who
                    runs away –

                Jesus is the way –
We know Jesus by meditating on
                        His example, His Word, His
life, His witnessing before men –

                Jesus is the Truth –
There is no deception in God –
Jesus went to the cross bare bodied
Jesus was whipped bare bodied –
                    God is Absolute Truth!

                Jesus is the Life –
Jesus died so we could be saved
Jesus rose from the dead –
                    Jesus gives us this magnificent
                        example –
We live out His life, death and
                        resurrection in our life!

                God is our Father
It is about His will –

Not our selfish will, our plan –
God calls us to humility and truth!

The growth of the Church was
so much – men believed because
of the fervor and love of the
                    disciples to witness with
                    enthusiasm and laid down
their life for the Church, for
Christ spreading the Good News –

They gave of themselves, likened to Christ –
                    They followed Christ –
They gave their lives for their vocation –

There was Barnabas and Paul and
                    John and Peter and Mark

Jesus is the light of the world –
To follow Jesus is to spread this
                    light to the world –

Jesus wants us to follow Him and
to be with Him eternally in heaven
and lead other men to the light!

God gives us a sharing in His life in Baptism.

John 12: 44-50

    Jesus declared publicly:

    Whoever believes in me
    believes not in me
but in the one who sent me,
    and whoever sees me,
sees the one who sent me.
I have come into the world as light,
to prevent anyone who believes in me
from staying in the dark any more.
    If anyone hears my words
and does not keep them faithfully,
it is not I who shall judge such a person,
since I have come not to judge the world,
    but to save the world:
    anyone who rejects me
        and refuses my words
    has his judge already:
the word itself that I have spoken
will be his judge on the last day.
    For I have not spoken of my own accord;
but the Father who sent me
    commanded me what to say
        and what to speak,
and I know that his commands
        mean eternal life.
    And therefore what the Father
        has told me
    is what I speak.

John 15: 16-19

You did not choose me,
no, I chose you;
and I commissioned you
to go out and to bear fruit,
fruit that will last;
so that the Father will give you
anything you ask him in my name.
My command to you
is to love one another.

If the world hates you,
you must realise that it hated me
    before it hated you.
If you belonged to the world,
the world would love you as its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
because my choice of you
has drawn you out of the world,
that is why the world hates you.

                R. We know the angel said
                    "Nothing is impossible with God"

We are to bear witness to the truth
                    before men –

We are to pray for the virtues to not
                    be a coward –
the virtue of fortitude helps us to
do the difficult with the help of the
                    Holy Spirit –

Fortitude helps us to do it in the time it
takes, as God wants – not a fast
job to get it off our plate
                    because we have another agenda
                    of our selfish will –

                Man needs humility –
                    Humility is truth –
but a man can over compensate by
                        his inferiority complex by
                        pride and jealousy, envy
                        etc. –

In the Our Father we ask to be forgiven and
                    we forgive others –
the prideful man thinks he is better
than everybody else and he wants
                    to prove his superiority before
them – he can live his whole life
thinking he is great and not getting
the recognition he deserves – so
his efforts are not building the Kingdom of God,
                    but building up his inferiority
complex – little work is ever accomplished
                    to witness for Christ –

The man of truth is grateful to God and
he sees himself as blessed before
                    God –
He lives his life thinking of others –
laying his life down for the sheep –

Jesus shows us – He washed the feet of
His disciples – He showed them
love and He is the Divine God –
                    Jesus showed self-sacrifice for
the flock, Jesus showed us how
He was a man for others, how to love,
how to give – how to witness.

Jesus laid down His life for His flock –
He wasn't a hired man who
ran away when the wolf came –
He took care of the sheep –
He witnessed to His Father –

We have been given so much –

Jesus is our Savior, but we must
choose life, to battle the enemies,
to sacrifice and live in the
                    truth asking forgiveness for our
                    sins and forgiving others –

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

                R. Paul traveled and worked so hard on
                    his journeys to convert people,
he did not weary, he was
                    shipwrecked and imprisoned,
                    persecuted and he bore
witness to Christ and spread the Good News.

Acts 13: 32-33

We have come here to tell you the good news that the promise made to our ancestors has come about. God has fulfilled it to their children by raising Jesus from the dead. As scripture says in the psalms: You are my son: today I have fathered you.

John 14: 5-6

Thomas said, 'Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?' Jesus said:

I am the Way; I am Truth and Life.
No one can come to the Father
        except through me.

1 Peter 2: 9

But you are a chosen race, a kingdom of priests, a holy nation, a people to be a personal possession to sing the praises of God who called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

                R. Paul went to the Gentiles because he
was rejected by his own people –

                Obedience pleases God –
Obedience pleases God more than sacrifices
Obedience from a heart of love
                    pleases the Father –

We should live our lives giving love
to God the Father and doing all
we do in love to please Him
for what He calls us to do –

We are called to spread the Blue Books
and writings in the Shepherds of Christ
                    and begin the Prayer Chapters
                    and spread the Consecration to
Jesus' Heart and Mary's Heart –
The Holy Spirit will help us if
                    we ask Him to –

The devil is the evil spirit – he wants to
block us by tempting us to give
                    into selfishness, isolation,
lies and the deadly sins –
                    anger, pride, jealousy, envy,
                    slothfulness, lust, gluttony.

John 14: 21-26

Whoever holds to my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me; and whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and reveal myself to him.'

Judas-not Judas Iscariot-said to him, 'Lord, what has happened, that you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?' Jesus replied:

Anyone who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him. Anyone who does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not my own: it is the word of the Father who sent me. I have said these things to you while still with you; but the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.

                R. We can never underestimate the work of
a just soul that has struggled
to please God and put up with
the pride and anger of those
who oppose the work of God.

Look at the Lives of the Martyrs,
look at these men, most who
                    were put to death –
                    They operated steadfastly – led
by God to try to bring
growth to the new Church –

If we aren't doing the work God wants
                    according to His will –
                    we are laboring in vain!

Working against the will of God
                    makes conflict in the man
and he can blame it on other
                    people – his unhappiness
is caused by opposing God's will.

We must focus on being one under
God. We are brothers in Christ.

When we pray the prayers Jesus gave to
Fr. Carter, we are praying for the Church
and the world and Jesus told Fr. Carter,
as founder, to spread these prayers
                    all over the earth!

Men should know Christ by watching
us live a virtuous life –
We pray to God for the increase
of the infused virtues we received
in baptism of faith, hope and love.

                God is love –
If we aren't loving, we are not like Christ.

The Law is the Law of love –
                Heaven is for lovers –
We are here to learn to love –

We are to be unselfish, we love
                    because God is loving –
that is reward in itself –

We aren't kind because we expect
others to repay us for that!

We see the Apostles and we know they were
                    persecuted and mistreated and
                    they endured because they loved
God and did God's will –

Does it matter if we carry a pebble
or a boulder if it is God's will –
look at Jesus on the cross!

The world may hate us – we follow
what God wants of us – we live
the life, death and resurrection of Christ
in our life. We will suffer –
                    Identify with Christ.

                Suffering is redemptive as Christ
                    showed us.

Paul was courageous, he was not
a coward to do the difficult –
                    his journeys were dangerous
and Jesus just asks us to spread
the Blue Books and prayers and
                    to pray ourselves.

We are pilgrims on a journey –
this is not our true home here on earth –

Our lives are to be lived like St. Paul says

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

                R. Our goal for our actions is eternal
                    salvation –

We are to see ourselves as the Father's
                    family – not isolate, be
                    divided and hurt others
                    in the family of God!

Jesus paid a precious price so we could
be saved – we owe gratitude
to Jesus who shed His blood and
                    died for our sins of
                    pride and anger etc. –

Men must work in the Holy Spirit to spread
this work – they must work in love
and with each other as a community,
as friends and in unity with
                    Christ the Good Shepherd.

God enlists our help. We each have
a calling by God in our vocation
to bring our talents and work
in love and unity in Christ.

God wants our gratitude, God wants
our love, when we work on His
work with others we are giving
                    love to God –

What we do to others we do to God –

We have been so abundantly blessed by
God in the Church, in this Movement –
with these writings, with these prayers.

We acknowledge what God has given to
                    us in gratitude.

Paul was arrested and jailed and
he praised God – his commitment
was so strong – His faith so
strong – He was faithful to his
                    calling!

The person with a humble heart will lead
others to God – they are ready to ask
God for forgiveness of their sins
                    and they forgive others readily.

We pray to the Holy Spirit to help us, to help us
to be vibrant as witnesses spreading
this Movement, we ask for strength
and help to do this work – like
the Apostles – we must labor together,
but we need God to do it in us.

The Holy Spirit will help us in the uncertainties
                    of life –

God calls us to be zealous, to be vibrant,
to be on fire for the love of God –
                    not a "dud" firecracker.

God is always helping us to do this work
if we ask Him and surrender to Him.

We pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We pray to lead a virtuous life.

In fortitude we must do the job in the
time it takes – not a hurried job
                    making a mess –

We pray for fortitude to do the difficult
and not be a coward putting off what
                    needs to be done –

And for fortitude to do it correctly as
                    God wants –

It takes 9 months, usually, to have
a baby – it is important to
do God's work in the time it
takes - correctly – not rush
it making a mess – or not
                    doing it at all –

We pray to the Father in the name of
                    Jesus –

Novena to the Infant of Prague
(to be prayed hourly if possible)

O Jesus, who said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you," through the intercession of Mary, Your most holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

O Jesus, who said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary, Your most holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask Your Father in Your Name that my prayer be granted.

O Jesus, who said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My word shall not pass," through the intercession of Mary, Your most holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

Acts 1: 8

but you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit which will come on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judaea and Samaria, and indeed to earth's remotest end.'

                R. We have been given baptism and confirmation.

We are to spread this Good News – we have
                    been commissioned in baptism.

We are to bear witness to the truth of the Gospel.

We need to be strong and steadfast in
                    our faith –

God calls us to be His servant and
serve Him as He calls us –
We cannot be selfish and do this

Priestly Newsletter Book II - September/October 1997

Scriptural Reflections

In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.

Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.

Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".

                R. A man who is like Jesus finds joy in
serving – Doing good for God is
                    reward in itself –

A man of victory has before him the
                    goal of eternal happiness in
                    all of his actions –

The Church is to be loving and show
men the love of God –

We are to live united – one in our
works – one as members of the
Mystical Body of Christ in Christ
                    the head.

Jesus prayed that we would be one –

John 17: 20-23

I pray not only for these
but also for those
who through their teaching
will come to believe in me.
May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
    and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
    you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
    as you have loved me.

                R. We must trust God –

We know God is merciful – we seek
                    His mercy and forgiveness –

Paul was arrested – he continued
                    to give witness
                    Paul made dangerous journeys –
He was strengthened by God for
                        these –
He was on fire – He gave us so much
                        of the New Testament

Jesus is the Lamb of God –

Lamb of God

Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

                R. Peter was made the first Pope –

We see how the pope is such a powerful
source of unity in the Church
                    and the world –

Acts 1: 14

With one heart all these joined constantly in prayer, together with some women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You! +

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

R. The Shepherds of Christ Movement helps us to take seriously our calling as members of the Mystical Body of Christ with Christ our head.

If we want the world to change, it needs the power of God. The members of the Mystical Body of Christ must take this commission seriously – this would help the world.

If we want the world to get better we must reach the members of the Mystical Body of Christ to unite and pray as never before for grace.

                Passion

Sorrowful Mysteries

                Agony in the Garden

                1) R. Jesus knew all He would suffer and He
willingly suffered doing the will of God.

                2) R. Jesus suffered for love of us.
Jesus has given us His messages of love in the
                    Blue Books. Open Anywhere.

                3) R. Eve wanted to be equal to God – she rebelled
                    against God's will –
Whenever we rebel against God's will
we have conflict inside, conflict with God.

                4) R. This conflict inside with God goes away
from God and thus causes unhappiness.

                5) R. God created us and wants us to obey Him –
When we obey God in love we find favor with God.

                6) R. When we disobey God and do a lot of good
works, we need to hear the scripture.

Hebrews 10: 5-7

and that is why he said, on coming into the world:

You wanted no sacrifice or cereal offering,
but you gave me a body.
You took no pleasure in burnt offering'
   or sacrifice for sin;
then I said, 'Here I am, I am coming,'
in the scroll of the book it is written of me,
to do your will, God.

                7) Matthew 12: 46-50

The true kinsfolk of Jesus

He was still speaking to the crowds when suddenly his mother and his brothers were standing outside and were anxious to have a word with him. But to the man who told him this Jesus replied, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ And stretching out his hand towards his disciples he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.’

                8) R. God is all powerful – Jesus could have
                    done something else, but He
knew all the suffering in the Garden
and He did the Father's will in love.

                9) R. God is always calling us to say "yes" and
                    obey His will –
The man disobeying God's will distances
himself from God and lives in
                        greater and greater darkness if
                        he does not repent –
                        He is unhappy and
He can be very angry blaming
                            others for his actions of
                            disobedience that took
                            him further and further from
                            intimacy in love with God.

                10) R. God is love. Our life is to be lived in
working with those God has called
us to work with in love.

A person can rebel against their vocation
and God does not have to put up
                        with this. God is just.

                The Scourging at the Pillar

                1) R. A person's vocation is how they are to
                    attain eternal happiness –
                    God has a plan.

                2) R. God called us to obey His will, to live
our vocation in love – respecting
authority and working in unity –

                3) R. The sheep hear the voice of the shepherd and
they know His voice and follow Him.

                4) R. Sheep need to be watched constantly – so there is
a sheep corral and a gate – because
they need to be protected from animals
                    that can get them.

                5) R. The Good Shepherd protects us. The Good
Shepherd lays down His life for the
                    flock –

                6) R. Jesus was so whipped at the pillar. Jesus
was whipped for our sins – Jesus
shows us He gave His all for love of us.

                7) R. Jesus' face was beaten – His eye was shut
with wounds and blood – men used
their energy to beat Jesus to a bloody
                    pulp –

                8) R. Mary watched this massacre of her
beloved Son all through the passion –
Mary suffered so much in the passion –

                9) R. Jesus was so beaten He stood in a
puddle of His own blood –
Jesus' back had ridges with big wounds
and the men laughed and pounded
                    Him with whips.

                10) R. We know how Jesus gave so much – then we
see the hard hearted man – so disconnected
to his heart – he doesn't do the simple
things God asks for in his vocation –
                    God is all just.

                The Crowning With Thorns

                1) R. They pounded in Jesus' Head a sharp
                    crown of thorns.

                2) R. They gave Jesus a purple cloak and
                    they mocked Him as King.

                3) R. They gave Him a staff and they
                    spit on Him –

                4) R. Jesus shows us how He gave –
He gave, He gave His all –
                    He was so wounded and
He was before men while He
                    was so beaten –

                5) R. Think of how some men are so worried
                    about being right and if
                    people see how great they
                    are.

Think of the contrast between Jesus
and a man thinking of his image
                    wearing a mask – wanting
superiority before men as his goal –
                    rebelling against God.

                6) R. God is always above –
                    We are under God.

                7) 1 Corinthians 15: 20-28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

                8) R. Jesus was ridiculed, spit on,
beaten to a pulp and He
did it to show us how
                    much He loved us –

Love is giving – Jesus bled and bled
for our sins of pride and anger.

                9) R. How offensive to God to treat others
                    with disrespect because we think
we are better than others and
want them to know it –

Look at Jesus – how He suffered the
                    worst torture before men and
He did it for love of us.

                10) R. Jesus knew the men's hearts who beat
                    Him and crowned Him with
thorns, He knew all the sins
of all men and He paid the price –

What about the arrogant man who doesn't
repent and tell God he is sorry for his sins.

                Carrying of the Cross

                1) R. Jesus carried the cross – He was covered
from head to toe with bloody wounds –
                    The people cried "Crucify Him"

                2) R. They condemned the Son of God
                    to death –

                3) John 19: 10-11

Pilate then said to him, ‘Are you refusing to speak to me? Surely you know I have power to release you and I have power to crucify you?’ Jesus replied, ‘You would have no power over me at all if it had not been given you from above; that is why the man who handed me over to you has the greater guilt.’

                4) R. Jesus fell under the cross – the cross
was so heavy it felt like His
                    shoulder would break – clear
                    through to the ground –

                5) R. They made Simon of Cyrene help Jesus
                    carry the cross.

From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

Simon of Cyrene Is Forced to Help Jesus Carry His Cross

Jesus: The cross was so heavy I could not move. My persecutors became angry and forced a man to help Me. The cross was so heavy the two of us could barely move it. How is your cross today? Does it seem so heavy you cannot go on? I am forever watching you. When you are suffering the greatest, I am very close to you. It is in immense suffering that you realize My great love for you. Pray for grace to do always the Father's Will. Pray for grace to grow in your knowledge and love of Me.

                6) R. Jesus fell 3 times in all under the cross.

From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

3. Jesus Falls the First Time

Jesus: The cross was so heavy I could hardly walk. I held on to My cross for greatest love of you and in compliance with the Will of My Father. It became so hard to walk! The cross was so heavy! I fell. I fell and the cross fell on Me. They poked at Me, they struck Me, they demanded I get up. The pain from the instruments they used to poke Me and strike Me was so great! I somehow managed to get up.

When you fall under the weight of your cross, come to My Eucharistic Heart. I am no less present in the tabernacle and in the Eucharist than on the day I carried My cross. I wait with the same love that I had for you when I carried this cross and suffered such agony. Oh, how I love you!

7. Jesus Falls the Second Time

Jesus: Oh, dear ones, the road became harder and harder to walk. The cross was becoming heavier, My body weaker and weaker. My shoulders and arms hurt so much! My head throbbed as I walked. The blood came from My body, from My head to My feet. I was covered with open wounds. I could not go any farther. I stumbled and fell. Again they poked at Me, only harder, and with such hatred they kicked Me. Such vileness in the hearts of men! My greatest agony was not the agonies of My body, but the agonies of My heart for the love I have for all My precious souls. I loved them so dearly. I loved those who persecuted Me. Oh, how I love you!

9. Jesus Falls the Third Time

Jesus: I fell hard the third time. I was so weakened I could not go on. My body collapsed under the cross from such exhaustion! My child, My child, My greatest agonies were not the wounds to the body. They were the wounds I experienced to My heart. Do you know a little more now how I love you? It is in meditating on My Passion and death that you will realize My immense love for you. When you fall, when you struggle, I give you the grace to get up. I never give you more than you can handle. Your strength will come from Me. Come to My Eucharistic Heart. I am waiting for you this day. Oh, how I love you!

                7) August 23, 1993 - On His Passion

Jesus: My dear child,

I was condemned to death, death on a cross. They gave Me a big cross and made Me carry it. They stood around and glared at Me. It weighed on My shoulder and I pulled at it until it finally moved. Every step was almost impossible as I dragged it, weighing so heavily on My shoulders.

My shoulder felt as if the bones inside would crack and the cross would fall through to the ground. I couldn’t drag it any more. I tried, I fell. I fell and its weight fell on Me. A guard hit Me with something sharp. It really hurt because he wanted Me to move, and fast! People were watching — on with the show! How dare I fall in the middle of the show! He hit Me again and the blow really stung Me. I got up because it hurt so badly. I tried to walk on.

                8) August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

Jesus: My Mother was in the crowd. She looked at Me and her face looked red and hurt. Tears rolled down her cheeks like rain and as her eyes met Mine, I was hurt so by her sorrow! She was always by My side, silent and loving. She was My Mother of love! She is always there next to you when you suffer.

I fell again and he (the guard) really hit Me. It (the cross) was so heavy that he and I together could barely move it. It seemed as I walked, heavier with the sins of the world heaped on it. My hands were bleeding. Blood ran from the wounds of My thorns and My head throbbed, seeming to make the wounds in My head bleed even more. Some of the Blood was dried, some of it running all over My Body. I had so many cuts and bruises — and people watched and laughed!

I am Jesus, Son of the Living God, and they laughed and mimicked Me! Oh, such hardened hearts! How vile can men’s hearts become? The devil’s grip is paralyzing and crippling.

                9) August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

Jesus: The walk was so long up a hill and over rocks — the cross had to be lifted over the rocks. My Body was bleeding so badly! My Heart was pounding. I knew that the salvation of all men depended on My love. Therefore, I went through such agony.

I thought of My intense love for you — that many would go to heaven because of My suffering — and I continued to the top of the hill. At the top they laid Me on the cross and with a big hammer nailed My hands to it. It was the worst (suffering) yet. My hands were nailed with big nails and the big hammer. Then, as if that weren’t enough, with a big nail they nailed through both feet.

Then they lifted the cross and banged it into (a hole in) the ground. My shoulders ached from how I hung. My head bobbed and My neck ached and they laughed and said, "Now save Yourself." I hurt so much! I suffered this way for hours — which seemed like forever — and they glared at Me and laughed! My Mother watched in such agony.

                10) August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

Jesus: For love of you, to My death I gave you My Body. My child, I shed My Blood and gave you My life that you might be with Me forever in heaven — not for a day, a month or a year, but forever with Me in heaven.

I am the true Bread come down from heaven. He who eats My Flesh will have life forever. For the drink I give you is My Blood and food you eat is My Body. Who would lay down his life for a friend? I did, for you. I love you this much, child. Forget about those who reject you. You have My life that I gave you and I give you life eternal.

I am the One true God. I am the Light of life. He who abides in Me will have life eternal, for the drink I give is My Blood and the food I give is My Body. Drink and eat and have everlasting life.

My child, that is all you need to know. Love one another and be good that you may enter into My Kingdom.

                The Crucifixion

                1) From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

10. Jesus Is Stripped of His Garments

Jesus: They took Me to the hill to crucify Me. They angrily stripped Me of My garments. They took off My clothes to whip Me. They had covered My bloody wounds with a dirty purple robe. Now, total surrender-they took off My clothes. I showed you the way to surrender, always complying with the Will of the Father. It is in living in His Will that you will have peace and joy, and life eternal some day. Oh, how I love you!

                2) From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

11. They Nail Him to the Cross

R. See Mary as she holds the little Baby Jesus. See her as she washes His tender hands and feet. See her now as she watches as they pound into those same hands and feet the gigantic nails that fix Jesus to the cross.

Mary:
Oh, my dear ones, my heart was torn in my chest as they nailed His hands and feet to the cross. I ask you this day to walk the Passion with me and see through my eyes the love He has for you. He truly was nailed to the cross.

Jesus:
They pounded the nails into My first hand, then they stretched My body and nailed My other hand. The blood poured from these wounds that went totally through My hands. My pain was so immense, but then they nailed My feet! You do not know what pain I suffered, My child. My children, My children, for each one of you I suffered this pain. Oh, how I loved you!

                3) From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

12. Jesus Dies on the Cross

(Silence.)

R.
He hung for three agonizing hours on the cross against the darkened sky. His greatest agonies were not the agonies of His body, but those of His Heart for the great love He has for each and every soul.

Jesus:
I gave Myself to you, My dear ones. I gave My all. I hung with My arms spread in total surrender. My head was punctured; My hands and feet were nailed to the cross. I gave Myself to you. I give Myself to you this day in the Eucharist. I give Myself to you. I, God, give you Myself! What more do you want?

Song:
Oh, burning Heart, oh, Love divine, etc.

R.
They pierced His Heart with a lance and what flowed forth was blood and water, the sacramental life of the Church, water for Baptism and blood for the Eucharist. His life, death and resurrection live on in the Church this day.

                4) From Blue Book II

I Died For You - February 23, 1994

Jesus: I want this emotion in the letter I told you to write. I, Jesus, Son of God, talk to you with such emotion! I am He Who died a brutal death for love of you. I died for you! I love you this much, to give My Life! Yet you couldn't even write when I asked you. You must do exactly as I say. I do not want you ever to say no to Me!

I have such emotion! I am telling you how I died a brutal death and you, My child, did not write for Me! What more can I do? What more do they want? You put others before Me or you would do as I command. I want you to do as I tell you every moment.

I am the Lord. I am the Son of God. Such emotion I let you feel for My death. I died. I am a person. I was human and I died for you. Think of yourself giving your life for someone and they do not care. What can I do to shake you? What more can I say? I am here and I am loving you and pleading with you to listen to Me with this emotion that God is telling you. I am Jesus. I died for you. I gave My life for you and do you even listen, My little sweet one? You didn't want to write it for My children. When I give you a command, you write. When I say do, you do. Selflessness! I am pushing you because I need your total surrender. Do not ever deny My writing to My loved ones. You have a responsibility. I don't care where you are when I talk. I am God and I talk to you. I am so present to you.

Listen. I need your selflessness. I need your surrender. I need your life, given for love of Me and Me alone. I need you to be the light that shines on the hill, that does not go in and out but is constant in My love. I need your commitment. I need your attention at every moment. I am feeding you My words every moment on paper and in your hand. You must obey Me exactly as I command. No questions, only action. I want action. Now! You write when I say write. I don't care where you are. You worry not for others. I am giving you the mighty medicine. Would you tell the doctor to wait? I am God and I do not ever want to wait while you play a safe game with Me. When I say do something, I want you to do it. You are My beloved and I am filling you with fire.

I am pushing you to do that which I need done. Do not ever stop to look around. Keep your focus on Me and My commands for you. I am using you every moment. I must be able to count on your constant consent to do My will immediately! I am calling you to this work and I want you to comply. I love you ardently. I am so full of love for you. Focus on this and this alone. I am Who am. I am God, child. Do not ever hesitate. Do not doubt or think. You must act as I act in you or My work will not be done.

Be selfless about My commands. You will do My work. You will spread My words of love and create emotion with My songs and I will use you to bring My flock to My love. I love every soul! You must spread My love.

Note: (Meditating on the Crucifixion) Going to Mass at the seminary at 8:00 a.m. was rushed. He said to me, "Where are you going, child. Do you not feel My presence with you?" A calm came over me. Then He started lamenting how He died for us, how He is a true person and He loves us so much. He said, "I died for you."

R. He gave His life for us. He is the little lamb led to the slaughter out of love for us. He said, "I need you to do this work now and I am pushing you." He was so upset! He died for us. He loves us so much as to give His life.

He begged me to spread His love, to tell others how He, bloodied, bruised and beaten, gave us His life.

Jesus: I am God. I am God. I died. Spread My love now! Now! Now! Now! Now! I am begging you not to hold back! Read these letters now, read and learn about My love. I beckon you to speak of My love. Shout it from the high roof. Proclaim it in the cities. Jesus Christ died for love of you and He is risen! I am He Who is God and I died for you!

Listen and preach My love and emotion here. Priests will create little cities, little cities in each church to spread the light of Christ to this sick world. Each priest can create his own little city, a powerhouse of God's love. God has all the power. His power is endless. It never runs out. It is might. You have no power except through Him. Churches filled with the intimate love of Jesus will be powerhouses.

I am God, My little ones. God can do all things. I can make your cities light up the darkness. I am the Way, the Truth, the Life. I am the light of life. I am God! I can do all things. I want to act in you. You need to be in constant union with Me. My priests, you need to be selfless. My soul and yours are one. I want to act in you.

Hold not back. Pray the Prayer for Union with Me.      end of excerpt

                5) From the Seven Sorrows of Mary - February 22, 1995

5. Jesus Dies on the Cross
Mary stood under Jesus' cross as He was put to death. The child that she had held in her arms as Simeon prophesied, And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary! Now Jesus is dead on the cross! He gave His flesh, He gave His blood so that we might be with Him forever in heaven. He held not back. He gave His all. He calls out to us this day to see through the eyes of His mother as she appears and calls out with a Heart of great love, "Return to the love of my Son! He is with you this day. He remains with you, no less present than the day that He hung on the cross, in the Eucharist. He longs for you to come and be with Him. He is in your brother. How can you not love your brother when Jesus died for your brother?"

Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. What came forth was blood and water, the sacramental life of the church. He lives with us this day in the Church. He gives to us His sacraments, the source of His life! He gives to us the Sacrament of Penance whereby any sin that we commit can be taken away through the priest. He wants us to be so close to Him! He gives us everything to be close to Him. But we see with such limited vision only those things that are right before our face, when the true reality is that which we don't see with our eyes, the reality of the invisible divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the consecrated Host! This is reality! This is our life! This is our power! This is God! And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

                6) Excerpt from the Rosary of March 17, 1995 - Jesus Is Crucified and Dies on the Cross

1. Jesus: I hung for three agonizing hours on the cross. My body was beaten, My head crowned with thorns. I breathed My last breath, My thoughts always of you, My beloved ones. I truly died for you.

2. Jesus: Do you not hear My plaintive cries, the cries that I am giving to you this day, to spread this love throughout the world? You are the backbone. You are the ones that will carry this out. You must be strong soldiers. I am speaking directly to you. You are going into battle. It is a hard battle. Do not be discouraged by the opposition that Satan has created for you. He will try to stop you at every turn, but you must be strong soldiers and you must stayed fixed in Me. Only if you are rooted in My love can you do the work that I am asking you to do. You are human. You, on your own, cannot do this work. This work is the work of lighting up the world with the fire of My love. You must be strong soldiers. You are truly battling a world that hates God. Come to My Heart and receive all that you need to light up this world.

3. Jesus: My Mother stood under My cross. My beloved Mother! How she loves each one of you. Go to the Heart of Mary and reside in her arms. Rest in her Heart. This is Her House. She is with each one of you on your journey. We love you with the tenderest love.

                7) Excerpt from the Rosary of March 17, 1995 - Jesus Is Crucified and Dies on the Cross

4. Jesus: As she stood by Me all through My life, she stands by your side. Think of that! Where you are sitting now, Mary is right by you. Do you feel her presence? Put yourself on the other side. Be alone with Us now. Let go of this world. Be touched by the grace of God, special grace that I am giving to you alone. The angels and saints are so present here at this Center. They are in the halls. You do not realize because you do not see. You must be alone with Me and let go of your world to be united ever closer and to see these things that I want to show you.

5. Jesus: See Me hanging on the cross. Do you see that? Do you need to see with your eyes? Do you know what you feel when you receive the Eucharist? You must reach more and more beyond your vision. Reach into your heart. I communicate in your heart. Such oneness I have with you in your heart! See beyond your eyes, beyond your ears, and go inside into your heart. Minute by minute, second by second, I am there! Mary is with you. My Father and the Holy Spirit are inside of you. You just do not see. Pray more for grace to partake in the life I want to give you.

6. Jesus: Pray to the Holy Spirit to open your eyes more and more to the things of God. You are all blind men! You do not realize the great gifts that you have. You must be lost in My Heart. Come to My Heart and let Me hold you close to My divine love!

                8) Excerpt from the Rosary of March 17, 1995 - Jesus Is Crucified and Dies on the Cross

7. Jesus: My love is burning and on fire for you. Do you see Me as I hang on the cross with My arms outstretched? I held on to nothing! I totally surrendered to the Will of the Father. I held nothing back. I gave My flesh and My blood. I was born in poverty in a stable and I died on the cross. I came to show you the way so that you might have life and have life to the full. Life is not life if it is not rooted in Me!

8. Jesus: Let Me pour My life out to you. Feel its vibrancy within you. I am truly with you this day and longing for closer union with you. Let go! Let go! Let go!

9. Jesus: It is in this time that you spend alone with Me that I can work in your heart. Do not look for visions. Do not look to hear things. Go inside of your heart and be alone with Me. Spend this time with Me each day and, through the day, spend short periods, minutes when you just close your eyes and focus on My presence with you, for I am truly present. I will work in your heart when you come to Me in these special moments.

10. Jesus: This time between noon and 3:00 p.m. is so important to Me. Spend this time focusing on being ever more united to Me and think of My passion. See Me as I hung on the cross. See My flesh torn! See the blood as it ran down My body. Spend this time each Friday focused from noon until 3:00 p.m. on My passion. It is in meditating on this passion that you will realize My immense love that I have for you. I truly gave My blood. I gave you My flesh. I give you My body and I give you My blood this day in the Eucharist. Come to Me and spend time with Me after Communion and let Me work in your heart, for I love you so dearly, My beloved ones. I am Jesus. Jesus! I love you so much!

                9) From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

13. Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross and Placed in the Arms of His Mother

R. His totally lifeless body was placed in the arms of His most loving Mother. As she had held the little baby body in her arms, she now received His bloodied, bruised body in her arms. This is how He obeyed the Father's Will. Jesus gave His life for us. The Father gave His only Son because He loves us so much. Mary, His Mother, our Mother and the Mother of the Church, is forever by His side. See Jesus in the arms of His loving Mother under the cross. This is love.

Mary:
I held His lifeless body in my arms. See through my eyes the love He has for you this day. He gives Himself to you today in the Eucharist. He loves you so much!

From the Seven Sorrows of Mary - February 22, 1995

6. Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross
If we ever doubted for one second that we were loved, we could visualize the picture of Mary as she sat beneath the cross with the lifeless, battered, bruised and bloodied body of her Son in her arms, the same child that she held when Simeon prophesied her suffering. He gave His last breath. He gave the last beat of His Heart. He gave His all! This is the way He complied with the Will of the Father. He came to show us the way. He died in perfect peace. To His death He was in peace because He knew the Father's love. The Father loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for love of us! The Spirit descended upon the Virgin Mary and the Word was made flesh! The love of the Two Hearts! Such immense love beating for us!

In all love there is suffering. Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

                10) From the Stations of the Cross - February 22, 1995

14. Jesus Is Locked in the Tomb

R. His enemies rolled the stone up to the tomb and were pleased to have buried Jesus. Mary, outside the tomb, wept bitterly. The cold reality that He was dead! But death has no power over Jesus for on the third day He rose, triumphant, from the tomb! We are partakers in His divine life. Death has no power over Jesus. He is with us this day. He comes to bring us life to the full. He loves us so much!

From the Seven Sorrows of Mary - February 22, 1995

7. Jesus Is Locked in the Tomb
And now Jesus, His body lifeless, is locked in a tomb! What cold reality for Mary to realize that His body is now gone! A stone separated her from her Son!

He gave His last breath! He gave the last beat of His Heart for love of each one of us! And she comes to us this day with her sweet, beautiful voice and she asks us to go to her Son and love Him! How can we refuse Jesus who spread His arms and gave His life for each and every one of us? How can we not trust Him when He loved us so much that He allowed them to tear His flesh, to crown Him with piercing thorns and, lastly, to hang Him on a cross? He truly gave His life for us! He, truly God, is with us this day, the same as the day He died on the cross, in the tabernacle! And we take it so lightly! Death has no power over Him! Locked in the tomb for three days, He rose triumphant on the third day as He had foretold. He comes to give us life. He gives us the sacrament of Baptism that initiates us into His life, that makes us children of God and heirs of heaven if we remain in the state of grace. He asks two things: love of God and love of one another! He came to show us the way and His way is love. To His death on the cross He loved each one of us! He calls out to each one of us here today to be His soldiers, to march on a world that has forgotten God, that has forgotten what it is like to love! It is a battle to live in this world. But the battle is won with hearts that are filled with His love, empowered by the grace and might that He pours out in the Eucharist. He calls out for us to come to the Eucharist and to the tabernacle and be fed with His very flesh and blood. To feed on Divine Life, the greatest nourishment, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God! This is the love He gives. This is the love He asks us to share.

Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary
at a Shepherds of Christ Meeting

February 22, 1995

1. The Prophecy of Simeon
Mary, Joseph and the child Jesus went to the temple. Simeon, the prophet, inspired by the Holy Spirit, met them and told Joseph and Mary of the great sufferings of Jesus and Mary. He told Mary that a sword would pierce her heart. From that point on, Mary ever remembered the prophecy of Simeon whenever she beheld her child. When she looked at His little body, even as an infant, she knew He would suffer. Every time she clothed Him and watched Him at play, her heart was torn in her chest as she knew what He would suffer. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

2. The Flight into Egypt
Joseph was told by the angel to flee. Joseph, Mary and the child Jesus had to flee because of what might happen to Jesus. They had to pack for a long stay. The child Jesus was so small! They left on their journey, hearts full of fear, trying to protect Jesus. They were forced to flee into Egypt.

3. Jesus Is Lost, In the Temple
Imagine the sufferings in Mary's heart when she realized the child Jesus was not with them. Think of how it would be to lose your child and not know where he was or if anything happened to him. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the child Jesus. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

4. Jesus Carries His Cross
Song: See the eyes that look at Mary, her tender infant child. See the child's Heart beat so tenderly, the Savior of the world!
See the eyes of Jesus and Mary as they met on Calvary. Mary's Heart knew Jesus' Heart so well! From the first moment of conception and throughout His life, Mary was so connected with Jesus and now she peered into His eyes. The crown of thorns adorned His Head! Blood ran down His face! A heavy cross on His back! Wounded, His whole body covered with bleeding wounds! And her whole life flashed before her, the life that she had spent with Jesus. This was the beloved child that she had held in her arms when Simeon told Mary that 'a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!'

                The Finding in the Temple

February 27, 1997
from the Apostles Manual
After the Death, There is the Resurrection

My love affair is with You, my crucified Lord. I kiss Your cross and caress You tenderly. I smother You with kisses and I know Your love.

This is love - to kiss the cross of Christ. I cursed the darkness and the light came across the sky, ever so gently as if it grew in intensity to a bright brilliant shade of glistening light. And in this I beheld my Beloved. I saw His glory in the wonders of the earth and I embraced Him, the divine, all-powerful, Almighty Lord!

He took away those things I was attached to. I held on with a gripping hand. Oh, I cried out in pain and I heard the words in my heart: beyond the surrender is the real gift.

Is it not after the death there is the resurrection, after the dying, there is the glory?

Oh, my Divine Lord, I feel as if my eyes have crusted over. I laid down on the floor and pounded my fists to the earth. I did not see the miracle in the grass that touched my hand. I did not see the power and the might behind the work of endless beauty. A blade of grass, you say? Oh, yes indeed, for it lives and is not life the real miracle? For I am not a rock, but a living creature, created in the image and likeness of God and oh, you say, how much do you share in the life of the Divine Being? And I say, "I share through Baptism. He, God, gives me a sharing in His divine life!"

I pounded the earth and I cursed the darkness. I scoffed and I complained and beyond the horizon the sun slowly stole across the sky and the light appeared in glistening glory. The darkness was black and the night was cold. I heard the clamor of fear in my heart. I felt like screaming in that night and oh, I beheld the crucified Lord. He spoke no words to me, the Holy Spirit filled my heart with light and I saw the glory. I saw the resurrection, not with my earthly eyes, but with the awakening of a joyous heart within.

I saw the glorified wounds, the wounds once covered with blood, inflamed and red, gushing with deep, red blood. I saw the glistening wounds in the hands and feet and I knew behind His robe was the most tender of all wounds, the piercing wound to His side. It was there, the pierced wound of His most precious Heart. It was the wound of glory, from which His divine life would pour forth to a hungry Church. It would rain and fall as gently as the new fallen snow. It would go across the sky like the light and the souls would be transformed into the whitest light. The graced soul, oh, the glory of this soul, the soul that is filled with His divine life!

Oh, need I say more, my Lord? I see the life in a blade of grass. I see the tiniest potato bug with its dots and beauty and I behold the face of God. I behold life, His life, alive in us and in the world.

Well, the night was black, as black as black could be and the cold pierced my bones. I felt its chill go through my entire body and I wanted to scream and it happened--He gave me an outpouring of His life in my soul and my darkness was truly turned to light, another light, not the light of the eyes, a light of knowing God, the joy of beholding His heavenly embrace, the great illumination of another mystery. Oh, sweet gifts He gives when He gives me new knowledge of Himself. Sweet gifts He gives when, in an instant, I pray my rosary and the Holy Spirit fills my heart with lights and the mystery lights up and I know, I just know and I experience a great insight into God.

This is the reason for this letter, for I laid in my bed and I wanted to cry and I was deeply afraid for the devils pressed in as rocks poking at me and hurting my precious skin. I laid in bed and I went into the womb of my Mother and I asked for the Holy Spirit to flood me with His light and it came. I speak His words to you, they are the words He gives: death-resurrection, darkness-light, sorrow-joy, suffering and pain, but oh, the joy of His light, the joy of His glory, the sacrifice I offer to Him that He turns into blessings and I experience His glory. It is in the death there is the resurrection. It is in the anguishing days of lent we come to the glory of Easter.

So, my dear brothers, I walk the road to Calvary. I mount the cross and I die. I offer sacrifice and in the morning when the night is done I see the glory of the resurrection. I experience His joy in my heart.

So I went to bed and went into the womb of my Mother and the Holy Spirit flooded me with light and I united deeply to my precious Jesus on the cross. I knew Him and His love. I reminisced on all the places of deepest intimacy I had shared with Him and my heart burned. I wanted Him so close and I loved Him so much. I cried out, "I love You, I love You, I love You." In that moment I knew and wanted only Him. He had removed my bonds and set me free to be engulfed by His divine love. I then knew Him as never before, the most Holy One, in this union with Jesus.

I felt my great love for God the Father. I have been experiencing my littleness as a child and knowing my Father, seeing myself real little and knowing my Father and wanting, as a little child, to please Him. Then tonight I realized more His Fatherly love. I see myself depending on Him, needing Him, crying to Him, loving Him and then I realized His power and might and love coming to me.

So I knew in an instant. He just gives you a light and you know, you experience--I knew, I experienced the Trinity. I loved Them, all three Persons, so much and I loved Them as one, my heart, being consumed with the presence of God and sharing the love of each Person--love beyond all love, and I stopped to be in this embrace, wanting it to never end, for in this embrace I felt peace, a peace I had not felt before, so different from the days that preceded this moment, the days of suffering and trial.

I mounted the cross. I felt the nails press deeply into my hands and feet. I felt the crown of thorns on my head. I said to Him, "Oh, why, my God, if You love me, do You make it so hard?"

And then I saw Him on the cross. I saw His mouth with blood running from the corner of it. I saw the body of a man, close to death. I saw His wounds, blistery and red, pouring out His precious blood. I saw the hollowness of His cheeks and the exhaustion of a body ready to expire in death. I saw the anguishing Lord who came to show us His way. His way is death and resurrection. His way is pain and glory. His way is the way to eternal life.     end of February 27, 1997

Mary: Pray the rosary now –
                    my beloved children –
                    Pray the rosary.

Excerpt from the Spirituality of Fatima
by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

October 13, 1917

In her message that day, Our Blessed Mother told the children:

I am the Lady of the Rosary. I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and to ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too grievously offended by the sins of men. People must say the Rosary. Let them continue saying it every day.(17)

Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima

by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

July 13, 1917

"During her appearance in July, Our Lady, in answer to Lucia's plea, promised that in October she would work a great miracle so that all might believe and know who she was. Again, the Mother of God told the children to sacrifice themselves for sinners and to say many times, especially when making a sacrifice, this prayer: "O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." (11)

"During this same July apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She told them:

"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.

"The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. (12)

"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....

"But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world." (13)

THE CHILDREN SEE HELL

As she spoke these words, Our Lady stretched out her hands, and bright rays came forth which seemed to penetrate into the earth. All at once the ground vanished, and the children found themselves standing on the brink of a sea of fire. As they peered into this dreadful place, the terrified youngsters saw huge numbers of devils and damned souls. The devils resembled hideous black animals, each filling the air with despairing shrieks. The damned souls were in their human bodies and seemed to be brown in color, tumbling about constantly in the flames and screaming with terror. All were on fire within and without their bodies, and neither devils nor damned souls seemed able to control their movements. They were tossing about in the flames like fiery coals in a furnace. There was never an instant's peace or freedom from pain.

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
