Hints for Using Windows Media 9 Media Player:
To make the movie bigger on the screen you can use these commands: View >> Video Size >> 200%
To adjust the sound or picture quality, check Show Enhancements
by: View >> Enhancements >> Show Enhancements
a.) To adjust the picture quality like a normal color TV use these commands:
View >> Enhancements >> Video Settings - then you can
adjust the Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and Contrast using the slider bars
like on a normal TV set.
b.) To adjust music quality try these commands: View >> Enhancements
>> Graphic Equalizer, then click on "Turn On", then click on
"Default" and select 56k music from the list.
If the playback is jumpy, try using the next slower video rate. A Pentium 4 machine with a very fast Internet connection is necessary for best playback (DVD quality), but slower computers work fine on VHS or lower resolutions.
Help if the movie does not play after you select it, try these things:
Make sure you upgraded to Media Player Version 9 by clicking here: Windows Media 9 Series
If your Internet connection speed is not fast
enough for the quality of movie selected,
the player will try to download the entire movie before it begins to play.
You can either close
the player and try a slower speed or download the movie to your hard drive
then watch it. (See Below)
Call our Morrow Center at 1-888-211-3041 and we will try to help you as best we can.
Instructions for Downloading a video to your hard drive for play back
If you have a slower dial-up connection (telephone line), but want to see the movie
to look its best, you can
save the movie to your hard drive. Then you can play it back with high quality
once it is stored on your computer. Once saved, you can watch the movie as many times as
you wish without down loading it again. To do this follow these steps:
Select either the quality of movie
you want to download.
(DVD quality needs at least a Pentium 4 to not be jumpy on playback.)
Right click on that movie with the mouse.
Click on "Save target As"
Select the Save location so you can find the
movie. I recommend
clicking on the Desktop Icon on the far right.
Hit the "Save" button. You do not need to stay with the computer while it downloads.
When the download is complete, the movie will
show on the desktop,
to play it, just double click.
You can copy the movie to a CD and share with
a friend or email them about
