Give Me, Lord, Your Love and Your Grace

R. How do You see me, Lord? How is my soul? Work in me, God. Open me, Spirit, to Your wisdom. I am Your servant.
Let me live to please You in all my thoughts and actions, in every desire. Let it come from love of You. Oh, how I indeed love You!
How holy is your soul? Oh, Lord, I want to be holy, but it is so easy to give in when I am wronged. I do not mean to focus on myself and how I was hurt. I just do. Let me see that Your way is the way of the cross. When I am wronged, I must love my attackers. This is, oh, so hard, but Lord, I want to be holy. Give me Your grace and love because I of myself give in. Only through You can I act like You.
How holy is your soul? Lord, sometimes things just go wrong. People get irritable. I get tired. I get impatient. I want my way in my time. Lord, and then here comes my brother, demanding his way, and I don't want to listen. Lord, help me to put myself aside and be as You would want me to be. This I cannot do on my own. Give me, Lord, Your love and grace.
Lord, Lord, the way to You is hard. Give me the eyes to go beyond my human comprehension and see with Your eyes that which You want me to do. Help me to act with patience, love and peace that which I cannot do of myself. Give me Your love and peace so I can act as You desire me to.
The way to You, Lord, is hard for me. When I was hungry, Lord, You fed me. Please feed me Your love. Give me all I need to do this work for You. Of myself, Lord, I cannot act as You wish me to. Help me, Lord. Help me!
