R. The 12 Steps of Alcoholics
Anonymous, Alan —
12 Step Programs —
THE TWELVE STEPS OF AA
Here are the steps we took, which are suggested as a program of recovery:
1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol,
that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than
ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives
over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human
being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all
these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed,
and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible,
except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we
were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our
conscious contact with God as we understood Him,
praying only for knowledge of His will for us and
the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps,
we tried to carry this message to alcoholics,
and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
R. God wants us to have unity —
It is my understanding that all
our emotions, heartaches
are still a part of us, but
they are in our subconscious —
I know satan can press on hurt
wounds of the past - unhealed —
and in an effort to finish
that unfinished business we can
project that 'dish' on others
now in our present life that
are innocent —
Things are not all black and white,
If we are reacting to past
'buttons' with intense anger,
hurt from unfinished business —
an innocent thing of another
can be a red flag to one who
is steeped in old unhealed
wounds often referred to
as 'baggage' —
When one is permitted to do their
own things — reacting and manipulating
others based on one's feelings then
there is utter pandemonium —
A person may marry another
person and then begin acting out
dysfunction and old wounds —
People who marry may have a weak
commitment, may become bored, the
honey-moon is over and they start
looking for excitement so they can
get into things that relieve their
boredom, but it may violate their
marriage covenant with their
spouse —
The question is how holy is
the heart — God gives us the
10 commandments to follow —
The Ten Commandments
1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
4. Honor your father and your mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.
R. For example:
Lying to one's mate for self -
indulgence against the marriage
commitment is wrong, lying of
a religious to their superior is
wrong — stealing is wrong — all
these basic rules of the 10
commandments we are called by
God to obey are to be obeyed —
In looking at the 12 step program -
people with pain can be addicted
to something to relieve their pain —
alcohol, work, drugs, eating disorders etc.
We are to work with each other
building the Kingdom of God —
Rules are given in homes and
institutions and we are to obey —
Many religious take vows because
of the importance of community
life, of poverty, chastity and
obedience —
When we go to heaven there
is perfect poverty, chastity and
obedience in heaven —
Life is a journey and on this
journey we will change — we are not
the same as we were yesterday —
A person with dysfunctional rules
can get into a marriage, a community,
a relationship, a parish and try
to act out their dysfunctional
rules by some force or
manipulation —
For example:
A person being a first grade
teacher can carry on these ways
of dealings with adults outside
the classroom and if they fail to
be open to seeing themselves as
others do — their habits of dealing
wrongfully with adults can
cause hurts and irritations to
others —
Living isolated and staying
closed in — not learning to love God and
others — is violating the greatest
commandment —
Matthew 22: 36-40
'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'
R. We are here to learn to work, in
love together, according to God the
Father's rules to help build the Kingdom
of God —
We look at Jeremiah and we
see what he dealt with — Kings
had the power — the King, at the
time of Jeremiah, listened
to the false prophet — in the end
his eyes were gauged out and he
first saw his sons killed —
What a lesson — Jeremiah had
the word God gave him and had
the King listened, the King would have
had to tighten his belt, but
there would not be the Babylonian
Exile, then, in which so many, over
so many years were affected
because of the King's disobedience,
but he listened not to the word
given to Jeremiah, but to the
false prophet —
Here is a homily from my
brother
Sixteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time
July 19, 2009
HOMILY: There was a man who worked in a museum whose job it was to explain the different exhibits. On one occasion he pointed to the bones of a dinosaur saying the bones were 100 million and 9 years old. Someone asked how they could date those bones so accurately. He said “well, when I started working here, I was told these bones were 100 million years old and I’ve worked here for nine years.”
Today I want to give everyone a little history lesson. I’m not going back to the dinosaurs, but I am going back pretty far – to King David, 1000 years before Christ. When I was in school, I hated history. It wasn’t until we studied the history of the Old Testament in the seminary that I began to appreciate it. I cannot cram 1000 years of history into a couple of minutes. I just want to touch on the parts of Jewish history that are mentioned in today’s reading. If you want to learn more, read everything in the Old Testament, but be sure you have a commentary to help you. Otherwise, you’ll give up in despair because you won’t know what it’s all about - especially the prophets and the historical books.
When David was king 1000 years before Christ, David wanted to build a house for God, since there was no Temple for God at that time. God did not give David permission to do so, however God promised David through the prophet Nathan that he would bless him and build David a house in the sense that David’s kingdom would continue forever and one of his descendants would always rule. This blessing lasted through the reign of David’s son, Solomon; but we humans somehow have the ability to sabotage God’s blessings. Solomon turned to pagan gods and over-extended the country financially by elaborate building projects and exorbitant taxes, so when Solomon died there was a rebellion and most of Israel broke away from Solomon’s successor, David’s grandson, Rehoboam. Rehoboam continued to rule over the southern part of Israel, the area we know as Judaea . For 400 years (and this is amazing) the kings of Judaea were descendants of King David. The northern kingdom that rebelled against David’s successors suffered under a succession of kings and rebellions. In less than 300 years the northern kingdom was destroyed by the Assyrians, people from northern Iraq. About 100 years after that, the Babylonians from southern Iraq conquered the Assyrians and took control of the entire Middle East. The conquest of the Babylonians brings us up to Jeremiah whom we heard in today’s first reading. At the time of Jeremiah, here was the situation: the northern kingdom no longer existed. The southern kingdom, Judaea, was still being ruled by David’s descendants but they were not loyal to God or to God’s laws. Jeremiah spoke to these kings as they came into power, the last four being: Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoikin and Zedekiah. Zedikiah, the last reigning king, died in disgrace. After the Babylonians captured him, his sons were slaughtered before his eyes, he was then blinded and led off to Babylon in chains where he presumably died. You can read how Jeremiah spoke with them in great detail in the book of Jeremiah. He told them exactly what they needed to do to survive the invading forces of Babylon. His messages were ignored. He blames them and their leadership for the destruction that came upon God’s people. As we heard in today’s first reading, God speaks through Jeremiah: “Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture.” God said he would take over shepherding his people; he would bring them back from exile; he would appoint leaders over them who would serve them well and lead them to peace and security. It took 600 years before God thought the world was ready for this king who would reign and govern wisely, who would do what is just and right in the land.
But then he came, through the announcement of an angel to a virgin who was engaged to a man named Joseph of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel said to her “Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end.”
In last week’s gospel, Jesus sent his apostles out to heal and cast out demons and to call people to repentance. In today’s gospel we are told of their return, excited over their experience and tired. Jesus wanted to some time off, but he couldn’t. The mission of Jesus and his apostles apparently was so successful that a great crowd caught up with them before they had chance to catch their breath. Mark describes Jesus taking compassion on them (his heart was moved with deep sympathy for them would probably be a better translation). He saw them as sheep without a shepherd, - people without leadership, and he began to teach them.
One of the important messages in today’s readings is that in love our Lord leads us, by teaching us and appointing others to teach us. But we need to listen, and we need to keep on listening. We’ll never be finished listening and learning as long as our world suffers from injustice, poverty, hunger, discrimination, war, hatred and killing of innocent people. Christ would be put to death before he would stop teaching. It is to our own great loss when we stop listening. That’s one of the reasons we are here each weekend, to listen and to learn. We call ourselves disciples. The word disciple means learner. When we’ve quit learning, we’ve quit being a disciple.

R. Now lets see, when we listen to
satan and don't follow God's
rules, we become more and more
blind, unless we recognize we
have offended God and others
and seek to be reconciled —
God gives us confession —
At the beginning of Mass our venial
sins can be forgiven —
When we offend God by being
unloving to our neighbor we are
to admit it and to seek
reconciliation — reconciliation
means we are sorry and we
forgive others — We are helping
to build God's Kingdom — we
are helping the sons and daughters
of the world, of the Church when
we forgive and work for unity —
A person, not seeing themselves
as part of a whole, can get hung
up on their own feelings and work
against the unity God wants —
Not seeing the whole —
Not seeing the big picture —
Tearing apart the whole thing for
their feelings — the feelings
can be coming from unhealed,
red flags from their past —
Let's say the Our Father —
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
R. "...Forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against
us" —
How have we offended God and
others for our sins and how
do we want God to forgive us?
Thomas Merton said
"No Man is an Island"
Some people can cause so much
unnecessary hurt to others
because of their impure ways
they use to control, to punish,
to see themselves as violated —
I wish to quote a message Jesus
gave on January 7, 2011
Excerpt from January 7, 2011
A person was called by God to
do something —
Like God calls us to pray
on the 5ths and 13ths —
It is not for another to plan
something else when we
know God wants something
on a special day —
The devil works this way —
trying to get us to choose
to do something — the
same time something else is
to happen and is important
causing a dissatisfying experience —
conflict —
confusion —
Satan is confusion —
If God wants us to do something —
a person wanting to serve
God — obeys the rules —
and goes along with the
rules —
A person planning something else
is causing confusion —
tension —
a dissatisfying experience will
occur —
God calls us to do certain things —
We pray to do those things in
harmony —
in love —
Choosing to schedule something
else — when something is
going on — then getting angry
because what was originally
scheduled got in our way —
is to choose something
dissatisfying and then, of course,
cause conflict, anger,
confusion, a dissatisfying
experience for ones self
and all others involved
in the original event —

Fr. Carter did his examine twice
a day for ten minutes —
He stopped what he did and
he examined his conscience — In
this he saw first of all how
he was — was he going in a
negative direction in desolation —
if so then he could turn this around
with God's grace —
We will be judged on how we love —
If we live with others outside
our families, if we work in
marriages, churches, schools
communities we must see
ourselves as opening up to love —
as being a light, as not acting
in desolation when we are going
in a negative, running in our
thoughts way, operating negatively
from our feelings —
Taking time to examine our
conscience and see what
direction we are headed in —
can stop us from acting
with others from past experiences
the devil can press on with
'run-on-thinking' — spiraling
downward to actions that
tear our lives apart and the
lives of others because of
anger and feelings the devil can
tempt us to act on —
Fr. Carter would discern the spirits
in this examine —
If we are acting in a dissatisfying
way against God's will — we can very likely
have a dissatisfying experience —
then if we see ourselves as
not able to forgive or be reconciled
because we are violated we can
lead an army of wounded
children in God's family that
He is calling us to reach with
our lives —
If we see ourselves as choosing
harmonious situations with
others — the outcome will help
to build unity and not tear
a place apart because our
feelings can become a
god to us. Satan works on
feelings —
We are complicated creatures —
there can be so many unhealed
wounds from our past that are
red flags that we are reacting
to in our present life —
When we choose unloving ways,
against God's will we can distance
ourselves from God and this alone makes us angry,
dark because we have chosen isolation and division,
where God was calling us to bear the burden with each other,
like He carried the cross for our sins, to lead to a solution
of victory in helping to build His Kingdom.
We are called to work in our vocation
with others He has called us to work with,
Living by structure and rules.
There may be great suffering on both parts
but it is far better than abandoning our calling
and leading to a solution in which satan wins
and souls are hurt.
Jesus shows us if we follow Him
the path is carrying one's cross.
The path is death/resurrection.
In the Divine Mercy we say
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ in
atonement
for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us
and on the whole world.
Our lives are to be given to God
as a gift united to the Masses
going on around the world.
We are dying and rising in Him
in the moments of our lives.
The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary
sacramentally made present.
We die to our selfish ways
to help live the life of resurrection
and bring that life of resurrection
to others, helping to build the Kingdom
of God. To many of the saints He
allowed thorns in their flesh, the
stigmata, to share in a very special way
in His suffering. In the way that some
men live in their inhumanity to man,
there is failure to work with each other,
because of human weaknesses.
Romans 8: 5-9
Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
R. God calls us to forgive and
to ask Him for forgiveness of
our sins — God calls us to open
our hearts and not close our
hearts — Hard hearts are
mentioned over and over again
in the scriptures — Fr. Pasquini
says —
All through Mass today I heard
"Are not our hearts burning within
us"
The mission of the Shepherds of Christ
is to help to bring the era of love from
the perfect love of the Sacred Heart and
Immaculate Heart —
We have tainted hearts, we have
wounded hearts, we must seek holiness,
forgiveness from God for our sins —
reconciliation with others —
Here is a quote from Fr. Carter
Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.
e) Relationship with Members of the Church
There is but one true Church of Christ. Yet this one Church has three different states of existence. There is the pilgrim Church, the Church of this world, composed of members who have received the grace of Christ and strive for its development. They have not yet obtained the goal of their efforts, as have the members of the heavenly Church, who enjoy God in eternal happiness. The Church suffering is an intermediate state of existence necessary for those who had not achieved the required purification as members of the pilgrim Church. Although there are these three phases of the Church’s existence, there is a profound union existing between all the members. All these members possess the same basic life of grace in Christ, and this common life establishes the most intimate bonds of love. In our preceding chapter, we discussed the pilgrim Church. Let us now consider the Church suffering and the heavenly Church.
The members of the Church suffering are those who have departed from this life in an incomplete state of Christian development. Their development is incomplete in the sense that grace has not fully taken possession of them, and, as a result, they are yet closed in upon themselves to a greater or lesser degree. They as yet cannot open themselves out in complete love to the Triune God in the beatific vision. They must undergo a further purification, a purification which could have been achieved upon earth with merit. Now the purification must be achieved with no merit attached. The pain of this purification is mixed with the certain expectation of achieving the vision of God. We can hasten the advent of this vision for this people by the offering of prayers and other good works. Scripture itself refers to our action on behalf of those in purgatory in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Maccabees beginning with verse 38.
The members of the heavenly Church are those in whom the life of grace has taken full possession and has reached its completion in the life of glory. Faith now is unnecessary, as the light of glory gives the human intellect a new strength and capacity for seeing God face-to-face. While the Christian was a wayfarer, he received the imprint of the indwelling Trinity as he shared in God’s own life. Now in heaven that grace-life and possession of God reaches its completion—the absolute completion is not achieved, however, until the resurrection of the body. The divine persons give Themselves to the beatified in a profound union far surpassing that of the indwelling of the Trinity experienced here below.
This life of heaven is still the Christ-life, for just as we possess a share in Trinitarian life here below as mediated by Christ, and exercise this grace-life as structured by Him, so also in heaven is the mediation of Christ present. In the words of Rahner, "One always sees the Father through Jesus. Just as immediately as this, for the directness of the vision of God is not a denial of the mediatorship of Christ as man."14 And not only does the humanity of Christ unite the blessed to God, but also, in some way, to the whole of creation. This is merely a completion of what is begun here below, namely, the union with Christ in His humanity establishing the Christian in a special relationship with God, with other men, and with the whole of creation. We have a glimpse, therefore, of the fullness of life which members of the heavenly Church possess.
The heavenly Church, as St. Thomas says, is the true Church.15 The Church of this earth and the Church of purgatory are, each in its own way, reaching out in loving hope for the heavenly Jerusalem. Vatican II puts it very simply: "The Church, to which we are called in Christ Jesus, and in which we acquire sanctity through the grace of God, will attain her full perfection only in the glory of heaven."16
The members of the heavenly Church can help us in living our life of grace until we too share its fullness with them. Their power of intercession on our behalf is but another ramification of the communal aspect of Christianity. We are meant to help others grow in Christ. We, in turn, are intended by God to receive aid from others—yes, from members of the heavenly Church, as well as from those with whom we dwell here below.
Not only can we be aided by the saints’ intercession, but the example of the canonized saints can also be of great value to us. They have concretely proved that full holiness is possible. Such an inspiration is of real worth when we are tempted to think that Christian sanctity in its higher degrees is impossible of attainment. Moreover, the canonized saints, in their diversity, teach us that there are many authentic versions of Christian holiness. They can be innovators in showing us that there are numerous possibilities in assimilating the mystery of Christ, although the basic assimilation remains the same for all Christians of all times. In the opinion of Rahner this is one of the chief roles the canonized saints exert in the life of the Church.17

"Father, forgive them, they know not what they do."
Luke 23:34
R. Jesus healed the sick, but He
forgave their sins,
whether crippled physically —
Jesus forgave their sins —
We see Jesus working on the physical
and forgiving sins —
Jesus healed the lepers — do we
say thanks for what He
has done for us
He gives to us this movement to pray
for our beloved priests. We thank Him
for our priests by praying for the
priests, the Church and the world.
Jesus is chief priest, prophet and king.
He has gifted us and commissioned us
in baptism to spread the Good News,
to carry His message to the souls on earth
this day He died for.
Do we forgive ourselves when we
have acted wrongfully and make
amends to those we have harmed —
Have we honestly looked at our
past wounds from childhood,
from many dysfunctional homes,
from failed relationships and
dealt with the hurt feelings
of mom and dad, divorces,
or is the pain of even opening
that door making us angry
someone else keeps saying to us —
"Your anger and hurt from the past
is hurting everyone around you —
We love you, but admit the truth —
Jesus tells us the truth will
make us free" —
God calls us to give without
expecting others to put up with
selfish demands we want
back —
We give to build His Kingdom —
We give to love God —
We give to the children He
wants to carry on the
mission —
Jesus taught His Apostles —
They pass this teaching on to
someone else —
Then they pass it on to someone
else —
Then they pass it on to someone
else —
And finally to us —
And we are commissioned in baptism
to spread this Good News.
The Church is given as a gift
to us —
When we give — we receive —
We want the world to be as the
Father wants —
We give for this —
Too often a personal feeling can
stop a person from seeing
the whole —
Like Fr. Joe said — the fish
swimming in the ocean
does not see the ocean —
The richest rewards is when
we help others without
expecting a reward
back in return —
To love because God commands
us to love —
To give and not to count the
cost —
To do all things because it is the
will of God —
We must pray to be open to God's
will for us —
Not closed in deciding our will,
then judging what we
will do by our schedule
and our will, over
God's will for us —
Surrender to God's guidance —
Pray for God's guidance and have
an open mind to it —
The more we let go to God's plan —
the more harmonious our
lives are with God's Power —
We can let go of the dream
we have, that others
are perfect —
When we have a dream, others
must be perfect to
please us — we are
always disappointed —
No human being we work
with today is perfect —
We work on ourselves to see
our imperfections and to not
get like a stagnant bucket
of water in our unchanging
attitude —
Stuck in a cubby hole of
our own rules and
ways against the change
God is calling us to — to
grow — and not act
against God's will —
From the Priestly Newsletter Book III - 2000 Issue 3 p. 44-47
The Father's Will for Us - Our Source of Peace
Pope John Paul II instructs us: "The Church, as a reconciled and reconciling community, cannot forget that at the source of her gift and mission of reconciliation is the initiative, full of compassionate love and mercy, of that God who is love (see 1 John 4:8) and who out of love created human beings (see Wisdom 11:23-26; Genesis 1:27: Psalms 8:4-8)…He created them so that they might live in friendship with Him and in communion with one another.
"God is faithful to His eternal plan even when man, under the impulse of the evil one (see Wisdom 2:24) and carried away by his own pride, abuses the freedom given to him in order to love and generously seek what is good, and (instead) refuses to obey his Lord and Father. God is faithful even when man, instead of responding with love to God’s love, opposes Him and treats Him like a rival, deluding himself and relying on his own power, with the resulting break of relationship with the One who created him. In spite of this transgression on man’s part, God remains faithful in love.
"It is certainly true that the story of the Garden of Eden makes us think about the tragic consequences of rejecting the Father, which becomes evident in man’s inner disorder and in the breakdown of harmony between man and woman, brother and brother (see Genesis 3:12 ff; 4:1-16). Also significant is the Gospel parable of the two brothers (the parable of the ‘prodigal son’; see Luke 15:11-32) who, in different ways, distance themselves from their father and cause a rift between them. Refusal of God’s fatherly love and of His loving gifts is always at the root of humanity’s divisions.
"But we know that God…like the father in the parable (of the prodigal son), does not close His heart to any of His children. He waits for them, looks for them, goes to meet them at the place where the refusal of communion imprisons them in isolation and division. He calls them to gather about His table in the joy of the feast of forgiveness and reconciliation.
"This initiative on God’s part is made concrete and manifest in the redemptive act of Christ, which radiates through the world by means of the ministry of the Church." 13

be reconciled and worked
out for their own holiness —
A man that closes a door to
his brother because he is
expected to be perfect — closes
the door of his heart to
love — his deception
is erroneous and his
life becomes more and more
empty —
But - where he learns to love as I
showed you — I was beaten,
bloodied, bruised and
crowned with thorns for
your sins and
I did it in love —
That man follows in My footsteps
Song: A Song from Jesus
God the Father: I gave you a family to love —
I created a loving harmonious world —
Man sinned —
You have a fallen human nature —
I am your Father
I love you as My precious creation —
You have sinned —
You offend Me when you do
not admit your offenses
against others —
I want a family of love
I want you to love each other
and make peace with
each other —
I want you to grow in holiness —
I want you with Me forever in
heaven —
I created you to be with Me in
heaven
I created you to help build the
Kingdom of God —
Can you not see?
Are you blind?
I give you a human heart —
You know when your heart
does not work you will
not live —
What about when you fill
your heart with unforgiveness
and anger toward your
brother —
See the prodigal son —
See the father who takes
the son back —
See the jealousy of the other
brother —
I am a God of mercy —
I have forgiven you over and over
again when you came with
a hard heart to the gift of
My Son in the Eucharist —
My Son Jesus gives you Himself
in love in the Eucharist
and you come with cold
hands, with a cold heart —
So some drank too much alcohol, ate
in ways that hurt their
bodies, they did not die,
but soon they learn it
is hurting their health —
they must change their habits
of hurting their bodies
A man lived in a house where
his dad was unforgiving —
how did the child of the
past grow up — learning
unforgiveness and anger
and . . .
I gave to you, My Son Jesus, He
died for your sins, He
took on flesh for love of
you —
I call you to work with each
other in love — Jesus showed
you His work with the Apostles —
Jesus came to show you
how to work in love —
Jesus walked this earth —
I dwell in the graced, baptized
soul —
I am in your brothers —
Jesus died in love for your brothers —
I love you so much —
I sent My Son into this world
out of love for you —
that you could be with
Me in heaven —
Forgive your brothers —
If you want God to forgive you —
how can you be unloving
to your brothers —
Do you even see your sins?
Do you see yourself as perfect?
Do you seek eternal salvation?
Do you love?
I call you to love!!
I call you to forgive and be reconciled!!
I call you to come holy to the table
of the Lord!!
I call you to be humble and meek
and gentle in your heart —
Provoking others because of your
fear and anger is wrong!!
I want you to grow in your
union with God and men
on this earth —
I want you to help the children
now on the earth, I created
and help the children of the future —
Many cannot work with strangers
in love —
It is because they do not see
My Plan for unity and love
in the Human Family —
See it as the Family of the Father —
My Son died for you —
No matter how many material
things you have, all your
ducks in a row —
greater union with God and
living according to God's
will is all that will bring
you real happiness.
Your family, you live in,
you grew up in, is to help you grow in your union in My Family,
the Father's family on earth, the human family.
I give you this special gift of your family,
and it is a gift that you know love in a family,
to extend it to My family,
the Father's family in the world.
Some use their family, as the end in itself to isolate themselves,
to not see the extension to the human family.
My vision, My plan, the Father's family of love
The little family you live in, is not so you isolate
and hold back, in selfishness, but you see,
you have been called to take that understanding,
of family love to help build the Kingdom of God.
"Thy Kingdom Come, oh Father, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
One little misunderstanding can
cause some to throw out the
baby with the bathwater —
How 'off' is your expectations of
others, while you fail to look
at yourself and your own
faults and see yourself as
perfect even excusing yourself
when you sin —
Some are of the way — they give not
an inch with those they
live with in a bitter argument,
while children watch
such hatred and the one arguing is
still living to prove they
are right —
Is a bitter argument worth
abandoning the ship —
When a Sailor sails the seas
he is enclosed on the ship —
If his feelings are hurt does
he jump in the water?
In bitter arguments men can allow
Love to turn to bitter
hate when one lives
this way —
Hate and anger —
They can say "FORGET GOD'S PLAN"
and they LET SATAN WIN —
because their feelings are hurt
Living in division — like a
brick wall for the anger
within your own heart —
growing more like stone
every day — Stone Hearts —
not like the Sacred Heart
of Jesus at all — You were
created to build My Kingdom.
How many wrecked years did
you choose —
Loving is a choice
Unloving is a choice —
LIFE IS SHORT —
ETERNITY LASTS FOREVER —
Ask yourself —
Am I building a wall and forcing
others to live by my wall —
the person God the Father
has called me to work
with to do God's will and I
have chosen not to work with him?
Am I self-righteous and
want to punish the people
God intends me to love and
to serve?
Such walls you have made
have blocked My will
for you and them and have
torn down the good work
of others —
What reward should I
give to you for this? When you
build this wall filled with
your self-righteousness and
faults and the love coming
to you could never get
through your hard heart made
by your own self-righteous
anger and hate —
To get to heaven you must
love God and love others as yourself —
Say: I have a free will to choose
God's will and to love God and
others — I am not controlled
by others — I can forgive and
love, it is my choice —
When I punish others by
building walls of hate — I am
choosing to waste away time in my life
that God gave to me to help
build His Kingdom — I will
be judged on my days and how
I learned to open up and
love God and others —
Say: There is a time to act, but acting
out of desolation brings to ourselves
and others dissatisfying experiences
rooted in unloving ways we are
forced to deal with when we
act hastily —

And Their Eyes Peered into One Another's Eyes (excerpt)
... Mary held the Child Jesus when he was a baby; she watched Him and cared for Him as a little boy; she was so attentive to the needs of her little Son. Will we ever know this connectedness between Their loving hearts? Do we know this oneness? The peering eyes on the way to Calvary tell the story. They tell the story of this oneness. They tell the story of her watching this horrid event of her beautiful baby Son and His horrible passion and death.
Her eyes! Oh, Mary, help me to see the love of Jesus through your eyes! You watched Him as a baby, you watched Him as a child. You watched Him grow into the beautiful man He became and you, Mary, watched Him all through this bitter passion and death. Your eyes saw the love that He gave for us. Now you come, Mary. You appear to tell us to go to this Son. You knew more than anyone His love to suffer so for us. You come and appear with blood in your eyes and tears running down your cheeks. You show me your sorrowful face, your young face, your old face, your joyful face. This was the face Jesus peered at as He walked His walk to Calvary. This was the face that appears now to tell us the story of His love this very day. I see your parade of faces, Mary, old and young, sorrowful and joyful. I see these faces that Jesus beheld. Your face tells the story of His love for us.
Mary: This is my beloved Son. This is my baby. This is the child I bore in my womb. He came to give you love. He came to be God-made-Man among you this very day. He is, my children, no less present in the Eucharist than He was at Calvary and you go after such incidental things. My Son loves you. I show you my face so you can tell the world of our love. Live our lives in the rosary. Let our lives live in your day. The way to eternal happiness is to be likened to my beautiful Son.
I watched my Son. I lead you to the ardent love of my Son, Jesus. His Heart burns for love of you. Come to Him this day. Give Him your love. Spend time with Him. He is alive and in your midst in the Eucharist.
Note: I smelled roses very strongly throughout this message.
Song: See the eyes that look at Mary (Verse 2)…
R. This is the Son of the Father, the Son of God, born of Mary through the Holy Spirit, and He lives this day in your hearts. Share His love for you. Go to Him through Mary's Heart. She who is so closely united to Jesus! Their hearts are so close to one another! As their eyes were joined in such oneness, their hearts are joined in such intimacy. Go to Jesus' Heart through His beloved Mother, through her who bore Him in her womb, her who watched Him give Himself for love of you.

Rid Yourself of All Coverings
Refer back to July 17:
R. He is teaching me about getting close to Him. Jesus: I held nothing back, dear sweet one, I gave My all. What do you cover yourself with that keeps you from union with Me.
Jesus: Union is not separation, union is one. You cannot hold onto coverings and be close to Me. I come as a bare body, no coverings. See My bare body beaten. See My bare body hanging on the cross. See My bare body given to My Mother. My life given, given to her in total bareness, life and all coverings given up for you.
What, child, do you cover yourself with that keeps you from union with Me? Do you hold on to food or people or habits that you are obsessed with?
All your gifts, given in this world, should be used and you should not be obsessed with them. Do you eat for joy or sustaining yourself?
Do you have relationships where you give love but realize that you never possess the other person? To love, but to be unattached to - to love to draw the other always closer to God?
Do you hold onto habits that you make little gods? Try to rid yourself of inordinate attachments. They keep you from union with Me. Love others for love of God, eat to sustain yourself and enjoy the food, but be not attached to it.
I died with a bare body. I gave My life. I gave My all. I gave My dear child, the very blood in My veins, for you.
This is your way to peace - union with Me. This is your way to peace - to forever focus on the love of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and also to love Mary.
As the apostles who were fearful in the upper room and their fear was turned into fearlessness, you will evolve into My soldiers for Christ - from fear to fearlessness with the love of God.
R. Spirit impact on me all I need to be guided to the ever-burning love of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Help me to surrender myself totally to you and your loving mother. I consecrate my heart to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
To get close to Him, I must trust totally in Him. As the baby, I don't holler, I must let go. Not to Worry!
He Has the Whole World in His Hands!
Jesus: I am Jesus, your Savior. Oh, dear, sweet one, I do have you tucked in My precious Heart. I love you so very much. Surrender all your cares and hear the beating, gently of My Sacred Heart.
I never leave you. The very hairs of your head are numbered, even the pores, I tend to. Let go and fall into My loving arms. Securely you dwell in the recesses of My most Sacred Heart.
R. Alleluia, and they were relieved of their anxiety and fear as their trust in Him grew.
Jesus, I Trust in You!
Song: From the day you were born, I have been here beside you!
(Note: I smelled very strong incense in the whole chapel at noon today. He is truly here!)
end of excerpt
R. Living to prove you
are right can be a very
tragic experience —
A person has to choose
to do God's will —
Nobody can force another —
Being self-righteous is
not what we are supposed
to do —
We are to wait on the
Lord — not make the Lord
wait on us, because we
have an excuse for why
we are angry, self-righteous —
punishing —
We have a free will —
We are to obey the
commandments —
Christ showed us He
loved the sinners —
He ate with them —
He healed them —
We are in need of healing —
We are to be reconciled to
God and to each other —
God created us and He wants us
to be with Him forever
in heaven —
Every person has been
called by God to live
according to their
vocation to love and serve
God and others as themselves —
We are unique — in that uniqueness
God has a plan for us —
Jesus died for all of
us —
God created us —
God wants us to be
one and live according
to His Plan —
Like a rug — all of
us make a picture
We are to live and love —
To serve God and help build
His Kingdom
God is love —
God outpours His
Infinite Love —
God's love
God wants us to love —
God wants us to know His
love —

1 Corinthians 15:20-28
In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
Wisdom 4: 7-15
The upright, though he die before his time, will find rest.
Length of days is not what makes age honourable,
nor number of years the true measure of life;
understanding, this is grey hairs,
untarnished life, this is ripe old age.
Having won God’s favour, he has been loved
and, as he was living among sinners, has been taken away.
He has been carried off so that evil may not warp his understanding
or deceitfulness seduce his soul;
for the fascination of evil throws good things into the shade,
and the whirlwind of desire corrupts a simple heart.
Having come to perfection so soon, he has lived long;
his soul being pleasing to the Lord,
he has hurried away from the wickedness around him.Yet people look on, uncomprehending;
and it does not enter their heads
that grace and mercy await his chosen ones
and that he intervenes on behalf of his holy ones.
Psalm 23: 1-6
Yahweh is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
In grassy meadows he lets me lie.By tranquil streams he leads me
to restore my spirit.
He guides me in paths of saving justice
as befits his name.Even were I to walk in a ravine as dark as death
I should fear no danger, for you are at my side.
Your staff and your crook are there to soothe me.You prepare a table for me
under the eyes of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup brims over.Kindness and faithful love pursue me
every day of my life.
I make my home in the house of Yahweh
for all time to come.
Philippians 2: 5-11
Make your own the mind of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God,
did not count equality with God
something to be grasped. But he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
becoming as human beings are;
and being in every way
like a human being,
he was humbler yet,
even to accepting death,
death on a cross. And for this God raised him high,
and gave him the name
which is above all other names;so that all beings
in the heavens, on earth
and in the underworld,
should bend the knee at the name of Jesus
and that every tongue should acknowledge
Jesus Christ as Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
John 14: 1-6
Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You trust in God, trust also in me.
In my Father’s house
there are many places to live in;
otherwise I would have told you.
I am going now to prepare a place for you,
and after I have gone
and prepared you a place,
I shall return to take you to myself,
so that you may be with me
where I am.
You know the way
to the place where I am going.Thomas said, ‘Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus said:
I am the Way; I am Truth and Life.
No one can come to the Father
except through me.
R. Our relationship changes
after death —
Romans 6: 3-4
You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life.
R. Let us be men of great hearts —
Patience is a virtue —
The crucifixion was not a pretty sight
The beating of Jesus was not a pretty sight
The carrying of the cross was not a pretty sight
Jesus calls us to suffer and rise in Him —
To work with each other —
in Peace, Love and Joy —
despite suffering —
Jesus died in perfect peace
Jesus: They whipped Me — they tore My flesh —
I rose on the 3rd day —
I give you the Church—
I give you the sacraments
baptism
holy communion
confession
confirmation
holy orders
matrimony
anointing of the sick
I give out of love
Say now
"For the Kingdom, the power, and
the glory are yours,
now and forever - Amen."

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
Hebrews 7: 25 - 8:6
It follows, then, that his power to save those who come to God through him is absolute, since he lives for ever to intercede for them.
Such is the high priest that met our need, holy, innocent and uncontaminated, set apart from sinners, and raised up above the heavens; he has no need to offer sacrifices every day, as the high priests do, first for their own sins and only then for those of the people; this he did once and for all by offering himself. The Law appoints high priests who are men subject to weakness; but the promise on oath, which came after the Law, appointed the Son who is made perfect for ever.
The principal point of all that we have said is that we have a high priest of exactly this kind. He has taken his seat at the right of the throne of divine Majesty in the heavens, and he is the minister of the sanctuary and of the true Tent which the Lord, and not any man, set up. Every high priest is constituted to offer gifts and sacrifices, and so this one too must have something to offer. In fact, if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are others who make the offerings laid down by the Law, though these maintain the service only of a model or a reflection of the heavenly realities; just as Moses, when he had the Tent to build, was warned by God who said: See that you work to the design that was shown you on the mountain.
As it is, he has been given a ministry as far superior as is the covenant of which he is the mediator, which is founded on better promises.

6:15pm Shepherds of Christ
Glorious Mysteries
The Resurrection
1. Jesus: Many are called but few are chosen.
2. Jesus: I came to bring you new life!
3. Jesus: You are My chosen ones to go into the world and to spread the love of My Most Sacred Heart.
4. Jesus: I remain with you this day in the Holy Eucharist.
5.
"Now while he was with them at table, he took the bread and said the blessing; then he broke it and handed it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognised him; but he had vanished from their sight." Luke 24: 30-31
6. Jesus: I am calling you, My chosen ones, to spread My love into this world. Come to the Eucharist so you may receive My Divine Love. There I outpour My grace.
7. R. Meditate that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Consecrated Host.
8. R. Impart to us the ability to see.
9. R. Jesus said to Thomas, who doubted Jesus:
R. Help us more and more, Dear Jesus, to realize that the Consecrated Host is truly God present in His Divinity and humanity, waiting for us. God is present in the Eucharist! Help us to have a love, a deep love when we see the Consecrated Host. Help us to realize that this is God! And where Jesus is, so are the Father and the Holy Spirit! Who are we that God remains with us this day?
10. R. And He gave to the apostles the power to baptize and forgive sins.
Song between decades: Come Holy Spirit

3. R. They who walked and talked with Jesus, were filled with fear when He ascended into Heaven and locked themselves in the upper room.
4. Acts 2: 1-4
"When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.

3. R. They were transformed from fear to fearlessness.
4. R. Jesus and Mary call out to us this day. We are His hands. We are His Heart to this world. They call out in a deep cry to go out to this world and to spread His love!
5. R. Holy Spirit, come to us gathered here. Let us know the fire of Your love. Give us courage the more we pray to You. Help us to be fervent in praying to You daily and all through the day. Give us Your gifts. Help us to be Your soldiers in this world spreading Your word. Thank You for baptism.
6. R. Transform us from fear to fearlessness so that we will go out to this world and not worry about what people think, but have before us always the desire to go out to this world and spread His love.
7. Jesus: You, indeed, are My chosen ones. I have gathered you here. You are so special to My Heart. I ask you this day to pray fervently to the Spirit to move in you, to help you to have fearlessness to go out to this world and to preach the Gospel.
My work is not a little work here. My work is a work to spread My love throughout the world. I have this Center and the Shepherds of Christ Movement to do this and I will do this through you. Open up your hearts! Do not fear! Let Me operate in you! Be about your union with Me, ever closer to Me so that I may operate through you and give My love to this world. You are My beloved ones. You are My chosen ones. I beg you this day to harken to My call! For I truly call out to you. Come, come unto Me all you who are weary and heavily burdened. Come to My Heart. Experience My Love and go out to this world and spread that love to the highways and byways for I call you here this evening. Will you harken to My call?

The Assumption of Mary Into Heaven
1. R. Mary remained on the earth many years after Jesus' death and then she was taken body and soul into Heaven.
2. R. Heaven is our true home.
3. R. Mary is Jesus' Mother. She is our Spiritual Mother and she is Mother to the Church.
4. R. We receive a special sharing in His life through Baptism. Mary lead us more and more on this journey to Him. Be our Mother to guide us on our way. Lead us ever closer to His Most Sacred Heart. Lead us to such deep love in His Heart. We ask this and we ask you to draw us ever closer to you and your most Pure Heart and the Heart of your Son, Jesus Christ, that beats with such love for each one of us today.
5. R. The most pure and tender Heart of our Mother will lead us ever closer to the burning love of His Heart.
6. R. She forever walks by our side as she was so close to Jesus all through His life.
7. Sing: Immaculate Mary

The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth
1. R. Mary now reigns in the courts of Heaven with Jesus, her Beloved Son!
2. Song: Eye Has Not Seen
3. R. It is in surrender that we will be joined ever closer to Jesus' Heart, that we will grow in our union with Jesus, and that we, someday, will be with Him forever in Heaven.
4. R. We will be with the angels and saints — with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in such union if we go to heaven.
5. R. The intense feeling of oneness, the most wonderful feeling that you feel after Communion, is only a small amount compared to the intensity of union with God: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit that we will experience in Heaven forever and ever and ever. There will be no more longing, no more wanting. We will know the love of God!
6. R. Our souls are restless until they rest in You, O Lord!
7. R. As a deer thirsts for water, our souls thirst for the Lord!
8. Song: May the angels lead you into Paradise. May the martyrs greet you on your way. May you see the face of the Lord this day. Alleluia, Alleluia.
9. R. The dropping of a pin, the batting of an eye and our life is ended. But Jesus and Mary are with us today. Jesus remains with us in His Divinity and humanity in the Eucharist, longing and waiting for us with His Divine Love and His Divine Life.
10. R. Grace is outpoured in abundance through the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, our Savior.
This rosary was prayed just prior to the beginning of the Shepherds of Christ meeting. Many people were present.
