Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our old president as he leaves office and our new president as he takes office.

R. God calls us to love. Religious
are to obey their superiors.
The saints and Fr. Carter showed
us how important obedience
to their superiors were to them
and their connection with eternal
life.
This last week we lost a wonderful
priest who said Mass for us monthly
since 2002. I know how much I
will miss him and I just couldn't
believe it and want to cry –
even though I feel he is in
heaven I miss and love him and
he was so good to us.
I miss Fr. Carter so much – 16 years
after his death I still cry and I
miss him so much.
Last May my grandson almost
drowned and for two weeks while
he was in the hospital we didn't
know what would happen. It was
so painful, he was four – it was
awful to think I could lose this
little boy I loved so much and
seeing his little body and not
knowing was so awful. Jesus
kept telling me he would be okay.
The point I want to make is I
know pain from losing someone.
Can you imagine the pain of going
to hell for all eternity. As wonderful
as heaven is, can you imagine
being without God, without love
for all eternity. I missed my mom
who got cancer when I was 3
and died when I was 5.
God promises us so much
when we go to heaven. The first
commandment tells us we must
live in the order of being
under God and obedient to Him
to get to heaven.
We can't make ourselves
equal to God – make ourselves
a rival to God. God must be
first. We are to be engaged in
our lives and live to do what
God commands us to do – if
we sin we must confess that to God,
and tell Him we are sorry
and make recompense for our
sin and with a firm purpose
of amendment proceed ahead.
We can't ignore God's commandments
and not try to repair the breach
we made – we are to try to be
reconciled for sins we commit
against God and others.
We can grow in our lives
in God. We receive a sharing
in His life in baptism. We
can grow supernaturally
because of baptism.
We see how persevering
Abraham was. We must live
our lives to have a strong
way in following Christ and doing
God's will. We have hope in Jesus.
We have been called to live to
praise and worship and love God –
to do all things for the
honor and glory of God. God has
made a covenant of love with us.
God is faithful to His Covenant.
We must do work in our
life to follow Jesus. We are
a fool to think it isn't
hard work to try to change
bad habits, but Jesus gave
me this message at 1:30 am.
today.
If a car is full of junk in
all its lines and can't run –
it doesn't just get better –
What happens to a man who
fills his heart with rebellion,
disobedience to God's will,
anger and pride – A man can
close down – put himself
above God and all others in
pride, fill his heart with
smoldering anger that
can be triggered by anything –
jealousy, possessiveness etc.
and then this smoldering anger
can go into fury and rage,
stubbornness, even like an
unhealed child holding their
breath to force their ways
on others –
Smoldering anger – age-old
anger needs to be healed
and live by the greatest
commandment.
Matthew 22: 36-40
'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'
Hebrews 9: 15, 24-28
This makes him the mediator of a new covenant, so that, now that a death has occurred to redeem the sins committed under an earlier covenant, those who have been called to an eternal inheritance may receive the promise.
It is not as though Christ had entered a man–made sanctuary which was merely a model of the real one; he entered heaven itself, so that he now appears in the presence of God on our behalf. And he does not have to offer himself again and again, as the high priest goes into the sanctuary year after year with the blood that is not his own, or else he would have had to suffer over and over again since the world began. As it is, he has made his appearance once and for all, at the end of the last age, to do away with sin by sacrificing himself. Since human beings die only once, after which comes judgement, so Christ too, having offered himself only once to bear the sin of many, will manifest himself a second time, sin being no more, to those who are waiting for him, to bring them salvation.
R. We will live our last day –
some day and we will be judged
when we die by how we loved –
How we put God first in our
lives.
Eternity – never ends!
This life is short! Eternity
depends on how we lived
and loved here below –
We were created to be in
love and unity with God
in eternity – not for this
life as our end.
How foolish to lose control for
smoldering anger inside and
pride to stay stuck there –
We are to be united in Christ –
love and encourage one another –
Giving into the deadly sins and
and not admitting our sins is
foolish. God created us to walk
in His footprints and leave
an example by our lives.
See yourself on the surface
of the earth, like a speck –
then see yourself through
the eyes and Heart of Jesus.
We were created in the image
and likeness of Jesus. Why would we
waste our God given gifts and
hurt people when our true home
in heaven depends on how we
lived our lives.
Lets give our lives for God –
love and work to help souls
to go to Him eternally in love.
R. God has a plan for us –
we have a duty to do His
will. How can a person
nurse anger for days and
ignore doing God's will for their
anger.
The other day I was praying
and all of a sudden Mary's
statue was covered with
Golden light.
R. We are pilgrims on a
journey – we are to die to our
sinful, selfish ways and
live in love and be soldiers
of Jesus. Live by the Standard
of Jesus – not the Standard of satan.
Our true home is in heaven.
We give God our hearts.
Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.
R. I LOVE THIS!
Hebrews 11: 1-2, 8-19
Only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of realities that are unseen. It is for their faith that our ancestors are acknowledged.
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed the call to set out for a country that was the inheritance given to him and his descendants, and that he set out without knowing where he was going. By faith he sojourned in the Promised Land as though it were not his, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. He looked forward to the well–founded city, designed and built by God.
It was equally by faith that Sarah, in spite of being past the age, was made able to conceive, because she believed that he who had made the promise was faithful to it. Because of this, there came from one man, and one who already had the mark of death on him, descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore which cannot be counted.
All these died in faith, before receiving any of the things that had been promised, but they saw them in the far distance and welcomed them, recognising that they were only strangers and nomads on earth. People who use such terms about themselves make it quite plain that they are in search of a homeland. If they had meant the country they came from, they would have had the opportunity to return to it; but in fact they were longing for a better homeland, their heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, since he has founded the city for them.
It was by faith that Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He offered to sacrifice his only son even though he had yet to receive what had been promised, and he had been told: Isaac is the one through whom your name will be carried on. He was confident that God had the power even to raise the dead; and so, figuratively speaking, he was given back Isaac from the dead.
R. Dear God increase our faith.
Are we realizing that some day
we will die. We will stand before
God and be judged. Mary always
asks us to pray for the souls on
the edge of death. She especially
asked for that December 17, on the
29th anniversary when she
appeared in Clearwater
December 17, 1996.
She tells us souls are going to hell
like rain.
Jesus gave Fr. Carter these
prayers. They are powerful.

Hebrews 11: 2-40
It is for their faith that our ancestors are acknowledged.
It is by faith that we understand that the ages were created by a word from God, so that from the invisible the visible world came to be.
It was because of his faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain, and for that he was acknowledged as upright when God himself made acknowledgement of his offerings. Though he is dead, he still speaks by faith.
It was because of his faith that Enoch was taken up and did not experience death: he was no more, because God took him; because before his assumption he was acknowledged to have pleased God. Now it is impossible to please God without faith, since anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and rewards those who seek him.
It was through his faith that Noah, when he had been warned by God of something that had never been seen before, took care to build an ark to save his family. His faith was a judgement on the world, and he was able to claim the uprightness which comes from faith.
He looked forward to the well-founded city, designed and built by God.
It was by faith that this same Isaac gave his blessing to Jacob and Esau for the still distant future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, bowed in reverence, as he leant on his staff. It was by faith that, when he was about to die, Joseph mentioned the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his own remains.
It was by faith that Moses, when he was born, was kept hidden by his parents for three months; because they saw that he was a fine child; they were not afraid of the royal edict. It was by faith that, when he was grown up, Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter and chose to be ill-treated in company with God's people rather than to enjoy the transitory pleasures of sin. He considered that the humiliations offered to the Anointed were something more precious than all the treasures of Egypt, because he had his eyes fixed on the reward. It was by faith that he left Egypt without fear of the king's anger; he held to his purpose like someone who could see the Invisible. It was by faith that he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood to prevent the Destroyer from touching any of their first-born sons. It was by faith they crossed the Red Sea as easily as dry land, while the Egyptians, trying to do the same, were drowned.
It was through faith that the walls of Jericho fell down when the people had marched round them for seven days. It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies and so was not killed with the unbelievers.
What more shall I say? There is not time for me to give an account of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, or of David, Samuel and the prophets. These were men who through faith conquered kingdoms, did what was upright and earned the promises. They could keep a lion's mouth shut, put out blazing fires and emerge unscathed from battle. They were weak people who were given strength to be brave in war and drive back foreign invaders. Some returned to their wives from the dead by resurrection; and others submitted to torture, refusing release so that they would rise again to a better life. Some had to bear being pilloried and flogged, or even chained up in prison. They were stoned, or sawn in half, or killed by the sword; they were homeless, and wore only the skins of sheep and goats; they were in want and hardship, and maltreated. They were too good for the world and they wandered in deserts and mountains and in caves and ravines. These all won acknowledgment through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised, since God had made provision for us to have something better, and they were not to reach perfection except with us.
R. Jesus cast out demons in
the Gospel. Think about this.
We die, but it can be our
birth into eternal life – WOW
God created us and wants us
Jesus performed miracles –
|
|
|
Jesus performed miracles –
Jesus cast out demons – Jesus
Cured the lepers; Jesus cured |
|
Jesus taught with parables
The Prodigal Son – God loves
and we need to repent –
The Sower of the Seed – Man must
cooperate with
God's grace.
The Hidden treasure
Weeds in the field
The two sons – let your 'yes'
mean 'yes' –
your 'no' mean 'no'
The vine dresser
The barren fig tree
The man knocking insistently
The Good Samaritan
The Two Debtors
The Lost Sheep
The 10 Virgins
The 10 Talents
It is so foolish to try to
control things when so much
is unknown.
How can we control so much
when we know so little.
God calls us to faith –
God wants us to trust Him –
We don't know even when we
will die – We are to prepare for
death – God has promised us
so much.
"What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, what the mind of man cannot visualise; all that God has prepared for those who love him;" 1 Corinthians 2:9
R. We are to live life's trials to
grow in greater life in God –
to rely more on God –
We are not to be angry –
and prideful, jealous,
envious, slothful,
punishing, lustful or
gluttonous –
Jesus is our Savior.
Song: A Song from Jesus
Hebrews 13: 1-8
Continue to love each other like brothers, and remember always to welcome strangers, for by doing this, some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Keep in mind those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; and those who are being badly treated, since you too are in the body. Marriage must be honoured by all, and marriages must be kept undefiled, because the sexually immoral and adulterers will come under God's judgement. Put avarice out of your lives and be content with whatever you have; God himself has said: I shall not fail you or desert you, and so we can say with confidence: With the Lord on my side, I fear nothing: what can human beings do to me?
Remember your leaders, who preached the word of God to you, and as you reflect on the outcome of their lives, take their faith as your model. Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he will be for ever.
R. Paul tells us to be hospitable
Paul tells us to be pure
Paul tells us to love –
Follow Jesus –
Follow the saints –
live by Jesus' teachings
let the Word live in your hearts –
be disciplined.
Live the will of God in love –
Obey the Commandments –
John the Baptist was one preparing
the way of the Lord –
He lost his head – what a
witness –
Follow the saints
Model your lives after Jesus and Mary.
We were created in the image
and likeness of God.
Jesus is perfect!
Jesus is the New Adam!
Jesus is our Savior!
Jesus gives us the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass!!
Jesus shed His Blood for our sins
Jesus loves me so much and
gave Himself up for me.
Jesus gives us Himself today
in the Eucharist –
We are to follow the Good Shepherd –
Praise God and love Him be
so filled with gratitude
for the Church.
Jesus is meek and tender of Heart.
We are to be like this –
We are to be like Jesus and
battle against evil – the
deadly sins and live virtuously.
Jesus is the Light of the World –
In Him is no darkness –
We are to live through Christ
and In Him –
God is our Father and He loves
us so much and created us
in the image and likeness
of God.
Jesus showed us that people
flocked around Him.
As we go through ordinary
times in the 5th and 6th
week we read from Genesis.
Jesus rested on the 7th Day.
We are to keep holy the Sabbath Day!
God created everything from
nothing.
He created us in the image and
likeness of God –
We are to follow Jesus.
Jesus is the perfect man.
Jesus was humble –
Jesus worked hard we see
that, Jesus showed us
His purity –
Jesus prayed to His Father –
Jesus wants us to be holy,
not selfish, bitter,
angry, prideful,
envious, slothful,
jealous –
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and
the Life.
Do you remember the deaf man
and Jesus healed him –
He said EPHPHATHA –
that meant "be opened"
We must have a relationship
with Jesus –
open our hearts –
Keep Jesus in our hearts –
We must not fill our
heart with lies,
deception, anger, pride,
jealousies, envy, argumentation,
disobedience, hatred if
we want Jesus in our heart.
The more we give into these
things we move away
from Jesus and let satan in.
If Jesus is not in your
heart and satan is,
you live in anger
and darkness.
Jesus wants relationship with us.
Jesus wants to be our friend.
We must live to never want
to offend Jesus or
drive Him from our
heart.
Jesus loves us so much.
R.
Jesus loves us and feeds us
with Himself.
God wants us to pray for an increase
of the virtues of faith, hope
and charity –
We need to pray for an increase
in the virtues –
God has called us to live
our lives according
to the Father's will in
love.
The more that a person works
to spread the work of
Christ – the more the
devil can work to try
to block them, like yeast raising.
The devil wants hatred – never love –
especially love of God –
The devil wants women killing
babies and he works to
discredit people who are
trying to bring rules that
are wrong back to God's rules.
The devil is always at work –
blocking a person trying
to help souls, love Jesus
and go to heaven by living
a holy life pleasing to God.
At the time of Noah – God flooded
the earth.
To be one with God we must
live to die to bad habits and
grow in virtue.
Mary said at Fatima that
we must seek conversion.
To be close to God we must
seek to be holy. God is
All perfect!
Jesus tells us that He
is a suffering Messiah!
We must grow in the interior life,
where God is one in us. We must
seek to be good in our actions –
our goal of our actions – eternal salvation.
We perform actions to reach this goal.
We are limited by never wanting
to offend God – we want to
love God first and obey
the Father's will.
We want to please God in
all we do. We do not let
our heart be full of anger
and meanness to others.
We must seek the truth always
if we want to be close to God –
God is absolute truth. Deception
cannot be like weeds in our
hearts.
God wants us to work in love
with those He has put in our lives
for the building of His Kingdom.
The devil wants division and
wants to discredit authority so
he can operate when a person
underneath disobeys just
authority – satan rules
in their disorder.
In disobeying and discrediting
in this disorder – the
person doing so, wants to get those
under them also to join them
and rebel against authority.
This causes confusion and
is giving a very bad example
of disorder when a person is
put in authority over some,
but discredit authority over
them to control and cause disorder.
A person in authority is to
rule in truth under God
and keep that order – not
put themselves over just
authority and give very bad
example with their authority.
Division, disobedience, manipulation
for a person under just authority and
over others is DISORDER in
which satan works.
Passive-aggressive ways of
manipulation are used by one
acting to go undetected when their
intent is to bring down the
house undetected and sabotage
what is to happen – had they
not worked to take it out.
Tricks and manipulation against
authority for power and
control is out of order. Satan is
at work in this.
God operates in structure and
order.
God wants us to work peacefully
in doing His work for the love and
spreading of His Kingdom and to
help souls.
The devil works in disorder
pride and punishment and evil and
anger. The devil uses an audience
against just authority to bring
down a just authority by
one being operated and giving
into satan, who wants to control
in the disorder.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts. — Cycle A (partial) Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10 |

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD. — Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10 |
