Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Response in Christ
Prayer of St. Ignatius Loyola
Take, Lord, and receive all my
liberty, my memory, my understanding,
and my entire will, all that I have and possess.
You have given all to me.
To You, Oh Lord, I return it.
All is yours, dispose of it wholly
according to your will.
Give me your love and your
grace for this is sufficient for me.

Sorrowful Rosary in Petition
The Agony in the Garden
1. After the Last Supper, Jesus took Peter, James and John into the Garden.
2. Jesus told them to pray, Jesus saw before Him all He was about to go through.
3. Jesus saw all the sins of the world.
4. Jesus saw the most evil sins of men.
5. Jesus knew in His Divine knowing all that He was about to suffer.
6. Jesus knew the men that would reject His suffering for them and still be condemned to everlasting damnation.
7. The best life we can live is following the Father's Plan and living in love.
8. Jesus loved the men that He knew would reject all He did for them and live a life of sin.
9. Jesus suffered so much He sweat Blood.
10. Jesus went to the Apostles and told them to pray. He went 3 times. The Apostles could not stay awake, they slept.
The Scourging at the Pillar
1. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
2. Judas was so loved by Jesus, but Judas betrayed Him with a kiss.
3. Jesus was tied to a pillar and men whipped Him, they took turns, they were angry men beating Jesus.
4. These angry men laughed and beat Jesus raw.
5. They tore Jesus' flesh and kept beating Him!!
6. Jesus stood in a puddle of His own blood.
7. Jesus was beaten from head to toe!!
8. Jesus suffered for all the sins of the world.
9. There is so much hatred in men's hearts that keep sinning mortally and give into satan and refuse to ask for forgiveness. (hard hearts)
10. God the Father so loved the world, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, our Savior, our Redeemer!!
The Crowning with Thorns
1. Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
2. The hateful men mocked Jesus as King.
3. First Commandment
I am the Lord thy God, Thou shalt not have any gods before Me.
4. God must be first in our lives.
5. The devil wants to be the ruler in men's lives.
6. The men crowned Jesus with a crown of thorns. They spit on Jesus. They mocked Jesus.
7. They gave Jesus a dirty purple robe they put over His bleeding raw body and gave Jesus a scepter to hold. They laughed at Jesus and hit Him on the crowned head abusing Him.
8. The devil tempts men to be full of ego if he can get them to give in.
9. Jesus is our God.
10. We were created in the image and likeness of Jesus. Our life is to live to be more pure.
The Carrying of the Cross
1. Sin entered the world, Jesus paid the price for our sins.
2. God loves us so much, He suffered so, because He loves the sinners, but they have a free will and men can choose pride and putting themselves before God's Laws.
3. It is about the will, when men sin they hurt others, besides themselves.
4. Jesus carried the cross with the sins of the men of the world.
5. Jesus fell under the weight of the cross three times.
The number 3 again is significant.
3 times Jesus told them to pray in the garden.
3 times He fell under the cross.
Jesus hung on the cross 3 hours.
Jesus was locked in the tomb 3 days.
Jesus died at 33.
Jesus was lost in the temple 3 days.
6. They forced Simon of Cyrene to help Jesus carry the cross.
7. Jesus saw the face of His Sorrowful Mother. Mary's face was red and filled with sorrow and tears.
8. Veronica wiped the bloody face of Jesus. There was an imprint of Jesus' face on the cloth.
9. The women wept over Jesus. Jesus said "Weep not for Me, but for yourself and your children."
10. They took Jesus to the hill of Calvary then they striped Him of His garments.
The Crucifixion
1. They stretched Jesus' arms and nailed His arms to the cross.
2. They nailed Jesus' feet to the cross.
3. They put a sign above Jesus' head calling Him: King of the Jews.
4. Jesus hung to His death for 3 hours on the cross.
5. Jesus' body ached so bad, think of how much He had to suffer on the cross.
6. Mary, Mary Magdalene, and John was standing beneath the cross.
7. Think of the agony of those under the cross.
8. Jesus gave us Mary as our Mother, as He hung on the cross. Jesus' thoughts were for us.
9. Next to Jesus on each side were two thieves.
10. One thief said to Jesus, "Remember me when you come into your Kingdom".
The other thief was arrogant and told Jesus if He was God to save Himself and them.
We can obey God with our free will and be sorry for our sins, or we can refuse to tell God we are sorry for our sins and lie to ourselves about how wrong our sin is.
What is interesting is Jesus died for our sins. Some men would reject Jesus, some would follow Jesus and ask for forgiveness of their sins.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
