Mark 3: 31-35

Now his mother and his brothers arrived and, standing outside, sent in a message asking for him. A crowd was sitting round him at the time the message was passed to him, ‘Look, your mother and brothers and sisters are outside asking for you.’ He replied, ‘Who are my mother and my brothers?’ And looking at those sitting in a circle round him, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother and sister and mother.’

Messenger:        God gives us a free will.

                            Others may try to control our actions —
                            Others may try to control our goods —

                            But what is important is the spiritual
                                place we have inside.
                            For me, this place is really real.
                            For me, it is the place I go to dwelling
                                deeply in the Heart of Jesus.

                            Father Carter called this our little heaven
                                on earth, dwelling in the Hearts of
                                Jesus and Mary.

                            Jesus is the truth.  

                                I am the Way; I am Truth and Life... John 14:6  

Messenger:        Our place of refuge the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
                            In Him I trust, in Him I totally give
                                myself.

Messenger:        Someone can try to control our material
                                possessions.

                            We physically live in a home with walls.

                            In our hearts we can go to the Heart of Jesus
                                at any time.

Jesus speaks:     You can come into My Heart and know
                                the warmth of My love. I will lead
                                you to the Father in the Holy Spirit.

Messenger:        "Between our ears is the place we think."
                           We control what thoughts we entertain in ourselves.
                            If we give into dark thoughts, dark thoughts will
                            permeate our mind.

                            A person can fill a house with junk and
                                debris, oh it can be just ugly, disorderly,
                                sinful pictures etc.

                            A person can fill their house with clean
                                furniture, good movies, pictures of Jesus
                                and Mary, good food etc.

                            We can fill our mind with debris.
                            We can watch sexual, immoral films.
                            We can listen to movies that twist the truth, try to
                                show "wrong as right" and "right as wrong."

                            The devil has used the tactics of the media to
                                effect the minds of people (including
                                children)

                            Jesus says

                                I am the Way; I am Truth and Life... John 14:6

                            We have control of how we entertain thoughts.
                            I have a place I go where I deeply unite with
                                the Father, Son and Holy Spirit — in
                                my heart and my intellect.

                            There is a deep knowledge of God and a
                                deep love in my heart.
                                Some one can try to control many aspects
                                of our lives, but they cannot control
                                my center of connecting with God —
                                this is pre-supposing no brain washing —
                                techniques as such were used, and there
                                are not drugs being given to try to alter 
                                someone's mind or serious deprivation of
                                food may affect a person's mental state.

                            But what I speak here is under normal circumstances.
                                I can go to my interior center and connect
                                with God despite someone trying to control
                                my house, goods etc.
                            Our goods are tangible items and someone may
                                try to control these, someone may affect
                                many things in our lives, but I have
                                a free will — when I have done all I can do and
                                need to do, I can find this interior place
                                inside and find refuge in being with
                                God and meditating on His Mysteries.

                            It is important we develop these spiritual
                                exercises whereby I meditate on God.

                            There are so many untruths taught in this world —
                                this place I go is a place where I can be
                                alone with God inside of myself and focus on His
                                light. I sort out the fragmented pieces of my life
                                in truth, begging God to help me see
                                the truth and praying to the Holy Spirit.

Jesus speaks:     

                            I come to you in the day and at night,
                            I love you so much and I want you to spend
                            time with Me. I am your spouse, I am
                            your bridegroom — you are My bride —
                            I love you to come before the Blessed Sacrament
                            to be with Me. I love you to come to the
                            Eucharist and receive Me. I long for you
                            to spend time with Me. I am what your
                            heart craves. Your heart is longing for My
                            love.

                                You can be so caught up in anger and
                            being down-hearted you forget about Me and
                            how I have all the power and I love you
                            and long and wait for your love.

                                I am with you when you sleep at
                            night, I am with you in the morning light,
                            I am with you on the sunny days and
                            when the clouds are dark and black —
                            A person caught up in the world looks for
                            their answers in the world, they may try
                            to control events around them, always
                            focusing on worldly things to great detail
                            to be what they consider "secure".

                                Today so many people wake to an ice storm
                            under many inches of snow. Many had
                            big jobs waiting for them at work and
                            some were paralyzed in their drive ways
                            and some planes were not permitted to fly.

                                Today for example Mary went to the hospital, 
                            she was 36 just last week, she found out she had
                            terminal cancer.

                                Today a baby could be born with a disease
                            and die several months later.

                                How much control do you think you
                            have? Could your insurance policies and
                            security measures help you and your loved
                            ones deal with the losses? Do they help you in your
                            spiritual life?

                                I am the Almighty God. I have all the power.
                            I am the Mighty One.

                                I am with you in all you do.
                                You can control what kind of thoughts
                                    you think all day, the ones you
                                    entertain in your mind.

                                Your peace lies in trying to make your heart
                                    pure and meditating on My life.

                                I give you the commandments and
                                    My Word.

                                They do not change!!

                            You can watch one thing on T.V. one day and
                                the way people think may change the
                                next day.

                            I am God —
                            I am, the I am —
                            I give you My Church —
                            I give you Myself —
                            I give you My will to follow —

                            You have a free will —
                            What do you allow yourself to think all day?
                            Is your disposition pure?
                            Do you do things, but inside you harbor
                                hate?

                            I love you —

                    From the Mass

                            "Lord you are holy indeed, the
                                fountain of all holiness"

Messenger:         Oh God I unite to this Holy Sacrifice
                                of Jesus in the Mass and I give
                                You myself.
                            Oh God I love You.
                            Oh God thank You for the gift of Yourself.
                            I want grace to be outpoured on me and
                                on the whole world.

                            Oh God outpour Your grace —
                            Oh God I love You —
                            Have mercy on me and on the whole world.
                            Oh God outpour Your grace on me and
                                the whole world.
                            Oh God I am sorry for my offences
                                against You.
                            Oh God I am sorry for the sins of
                                the human race.

The Our Father

    Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Messenger:         Dear God grant us Your peace.
                            Dear God help us to live according to Your
                                will.

Jesus speaks:      the "joy" of some, so they think, is in
                            doing what they want against their
                            superiors. Being willful never
                            brings one real joy —

Messenger:        

                            Oh God grant us peace, oh God help us
                                to do Your will.

Jesus speaks:      Some are addicted to excitement.
                            Peace comes in a soul that is
                                not filled with false pride.
                            I can accomplish more in seconds
                                than you can in doing your
                                own will in a life-time.
                            Ask yourself — what is God's will
                                for me and do it.
                                A young sister wanted to do
                            what she wanted and not do what she was
                            asked to do in the community.
                            She gave herself to that particular order
                                and felt she had a vocation to that
                                place, but she did not want to live
                                according to the rules of the order.
                                She wanted her own freedom to do as
                                she wanted to serve the order.
                                There are many saints, that learned to be
                                    holy by their obeying the rules before
                                    them in a religious order.

                                The perfection one must desire is to
                                    curb the willfulness of ones self
                                    against the will of God.
                                In the garden of Eden you see the rationalizing
                                    of Eve, so she did her own will.
                                    You see the sin and how it
                                    affected the whole human race.
                                When one gives themselves to serve a
                                    particular order, they are bound
                                    in their heart to do what the superiors
                                    of the order ask them to do for particular
                                    service in the community, if it is
                                    cleaning a floor, driving to the market,
                                    watching the store —

                                If one so chooses not to obey and live
                                    in the role chosen by the community
                                    they should not remain in the community
                                    causing constant disharmony by their
                                    willful disposition and affecting others.

                                A person that joins a community of religious
                                    does so with the intention of serving in
                                    the community in the capacity that is
                                    dictated by superiors and a willing
                                    response to that type of service is
                                    needed.

                                People that are "used-to" doing their own will —
                                    will often argue and try to manipulate
                                    things so they can feel no-one told them
                                    what to do.

                                Being under others in obedience can be a
                                    great help to growing in the spiritual
                                    life.

                                    A bank president tells those under them what
                                        to do.
                                        Mary Jones may come and be given the
                                            job as head teller.
                                        If she insists on doing other things and
                                            neglects her job as head teller, the
                                            bank president will soon fire Mary,
                                            for the good of the Bank.

                                Sometimes people who enter religious life have
                                    been single all their life and lived alone and only
                                    answered to themselves for many years. They feel
                                    they are "holy" and want to enter religious
                                    life, but they do not want anyone telling
                                    them what to do, the disposition of that
                                    person is always constant disharmony,
                                    waiting for the time when they can be in
                                    charge.

                                A person that enters with a willing spirit
                                    to serve — realizes that great grace is
                                    granted for obedience to superiors and
                                    serving according to the job that is needed
                                    by them. Their disposition is one to help and
                                    to listen to the superior to see why this
                                    particular work needs to be accomplished
                                    to promote the goal of the community
                                    and service for souls.
