R. Dear Jesus,
Help us to do Your will in
all we do in the Shepherds of Christ We want
to offer these days of prayer in
Florida and China praying for the
priests, the Church and the world
When we feel tired help us to still
be loving and help each other and
others in the world by staying
focused on being more and more like
You
Help us to live our vocation
in love saying thanks for all
the talents You have given to us
to help build Your Kingdom and
sharing what we know to help
others to do what they have to
do
Help us to live in love as a
family that You called to serve
You
Help us to be gentle in heart
meek in heart not combatal and
to focus on how much You loved
us to die for us to rise for us to
give us this sharing in Your life
I love You God We love You
in the Shepherds of Christ We love to
serve You in this vocation as servants
and handmaids and apostles and associates
praying for the priests, the Church and
the world and spreading the homilies of Fr. Joe
and the Blue Books and rosary books
Help us to realize we have been
commanded to love You and love
each other and love ourselves as
special to You love ourselves as
the unique creation of God the Father
Help us to be holy, God
Help us to be grateful for each
other
Help us to work in unity sharing,
communicating according to the
Father's will to do His will
Help us to understand that
learning to obey authority is part
of our mission here
Life is a journey
We change all the time either
for the better or worse
We don't stay the same
Help us to discipline ourselves
by living under authority in love
doing God's will sharing with
each other and being one in
communicating communicating
as God desires
God made us with hearts to love,
to give and take, to work together
to accomplish Your work
Not being isolated,
closed in,
electronic
singular communication
The mission of the Shepherds of Christ is to
live as one in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
as a family rooted in God's will
living in love
being obedient to what You want
for this mission
forming communities of men and
women praying and working
in love praying for the
priests, the Church and the world and
being committed to one's vocation
Communicating and working together
Being positive in sharing oneself
and one's talents and
Rejoicing for one's gifts
Rejoicing for each other's gifts
Being holy in our dealings
with each other
Being a light like Jesus
Not choosing to be a rival to
God's will
Here is a riddle
A person was called by God to
do something
Like God calls us to pray
on the 5ths and 13ths
It is not for another to plan
something else when we
know God wants something
on a special day
The devil works this way
trying to get us to choose
to do something the
same time something else is
to happen and is important
causing a dissatisfying experience
conflict
confusion
Satan is confusion
If God wants us to do something
a person wanting to serve
God obeys the rules
and goes along with the
rules
A person planning something else
is causing confusion
tension
a dissatisfying experience will
occur
God calls us to do certain things
We pray to do those things in
harmony
in love
Choosing to schedule something
else when something is
going on then getting angry
because what was originally
scheduled got in our way
is to choose something
dissatisfying and then, of course,
cause conflict, anger,
confusion, a dissatisfying
experience for ones self
and all others involved
in the original event
We are to function according to God's
will
Go along
When one is doing a work why
do you have to try to change it
for your own personal control
It is in this journey to heaven
to learn to work according to the
Father's will in love in
unity to help build the
Kingdom of God according to
the obedience set forth
rules stated
times planned
to be docile
Not create confusion
to choose a satisfying thing
(obeying God's will) is
to have a satisfying
experience
to choose a dissatisfying thing
(against God's will)
is to create a dissatisfying
experience.
We do not live in a vacuum
We have a choice to work
together in love in obedience
to God's will
or to come to a group and try
to rule against God's will and
start confusion
One of the seven deadly sins is
pride
Eve didn't want to obey God
Eve listened to the devil
Eve disobeyed God
Mary was the perfect handmaid
of the Lord
Mary obeyed God
Mary did the Father's will
We meditate on the 7 Sorrows
of Mary
The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary
February 22, 1995
2. The Flight into Egypt
Joseph was told by the angel to flee. Joseph, Mary and the child Jesus had
to flee because of what might happen to Jesus. They had to pack for a long
stay. The child Jesus was so small! They left on their journey, hearts full
of fear, trying to protect Jesus. They were forced to flee into Egypt.
4. Jesus Carries His Cross
Song: See the eyes that look at Mary, her tender infant child. See
the child's Heart beat so tenderly, the Savior of the world!
See the eyes of Jesus and Mary as they met on Calvary. Mary's Heart knew
Jesus' Heart so well! From the first moment of conception and throughout His
life, Mary was so connected with Jesus and now she peered into His eyes. The
crown of thorns adorned His Head! Blood ran down His face! A heavy cross on
His back! Wounded, His whole body covered with bleeding wounds! And her
whole life flashed before her, the life that she had spent with Jesus. This
was the beloved child that she had held in her arms when Simeon told Mary
that 'a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!'
6. Jesus Is Taken Down from the
Cross
If we ever doubted for one second that we were loved, we could visualize the
picture of Mary as she sat beneath the cross with the lifeless, battered,
bruised and bloodied body of her Son in her arms, the same child that she
held when Simeon prophesied her suffering. He gave His last breath. He gave
the last beat of His Heart. He gave His all! This is the way He complied
with the Will of the Father. He came to show us the way. He died in perfect
peace. To His death He was in peace because He knew the Father's love. The
Father loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for love of us!
The Spirit descended upon the Virgin Mary and the Word was made flesh! The
love of the Two Hearts! Such immense love beating for us!
In all love there is suffering. Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His
Heart was pierced with a lance. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O
Mary!
end of sorrows
Jesus said He came to do the
will of the heavenly Father
Jesus showed us by His
example from birth to death
to do the will of the Father
DISCIPLINE
We are to obey authority
We are to obey the commandments
We are on a journey
We are changing
We are to be more and more
like Jesus
Not get stuck doing our
own plan
Matthew 7: 21-23
It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?" Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers!
Matthew 12: 46-50
He was still speaking to the crowds when suddenly his mother and his brothers were standing outside and were anxious to have a word with him. But to the man who told him this Jesus replied, Who is my mother? Who are my brothers? And stretching out his hand towards his disciples he said, Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.
Obedience
Jesus came working in the holy
family
Jesus worked with the
community of apostles
Jesus gave us the Church
God gave us marriage
The Trinity is the Most Perfect
Community
Priestly Newsletter - 2000 - Issue 2
- The community which is Church is a terrestrial reflection of the ultimate and absolute communityThe Blessed Trinity. The Trinitarian community is a community of profound relationships. Because the Church reflects Trinitarian community, we, her members, are intended to have relationships not only with the persons of the Trinity, but likewise with one another. Authentic interpersonal relationships not only unite in a deeper knowledge and love the persons directly involved. They also make a person more capable of loving all others more deeply and, therefore, more capable of helping to deepen the bonds of community.
We may know exactly what God is
calling us to do and
disobey His will
Why do we do this? We can
blame it on somebody else
why we disobey God's will
Have excuses why we sin
Lie to ourselves
Foolish isn't it
In a given time we
cannot be a rival to
a scheduled event God
wants and have peace
Please pray for Jimmy.
