Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

                R. Beauty – God is beautiful –

The beatific vision is seeing beauty –

                God is perfect beauty –

Seeing the Mother of God in this image
                    shows us beauty –

                R. I see images and I can see them
with beauty if my heart is
full of light and love and joy to
                    know God.

Even the crucifix can be seen in the eyes of
                    beauty.

The crucifix is for me – the love of my
Divine Savior – who loved me so
much – He came and died for me –
                    died for my sins.

The crucifix tells the story of my Savior –
The Son of God who loved man
so much to pay for our sins –
This is love and love is beauty –

Love, Jesus, loves us so much –

Jesus loved us so much to die for our
                    sins

                Song: A Song from Jesus

                R. Yes – Jesus loved us this much –

December 17, 2016

                R. The world had become corrupt at the time
of Noah and God told Noah to build
an Ark. Can you imagine the remarks
Noah received from the proud and
                nasty men.

Noah just kept doing what God
told him. Abraham did what God
told him. Abraham was tested and
                he obeyed God.

When a person loves someone they want
to please them. When we realize the love
                God has for us

                R. When a person realizes God's love for
us – His goodness given to us –
They don't want to offend God –

They want to give Him thanks and
                praise and love –

To know God brings us to love Him
                more and more –

To see beauty in God's creation –

To see beauty in the gifts He has
                    given us –

To be as God wants us to be –
every moment – every day –

To enjoy the moments God gives us –

The evil man plots evil in his mind
and his heart is full of evil
                    ways –
He is not seeing the light –
He is not seeing the reality more
and more how God really is.
                    Reality is in God –

                    Pride, anger, jealousy, envy,
slothfulness, lust, gluttony brings a man
down. They are called deadly sins
because they make the man more
and more numb to the truth – they
live in greater and greater darkness –
they make the world they live in,
in their mind, a world that is not as it really
                is.

The sad thing is to deceive oneself
and then to deny that there is
                    this deception –

Loving oneself is what God wants –
Loving oneself means I see the goal
of eternal salvation for myself and
                I don't want to offend God –

I know God is always there –
watching me – loving me – helping
me – because He really loves
me and Jesus really came to this earth,
took flesh and died for my sins –

God teaches me His ways –

God teaches me what love is –

I meditate on His love for me and
                    I know it –

In Blue Book IV I saw Jesus' love for
                    Mary and Mary's love for
                    Jesus –

I saw Jesus' love for me –

                R. In Blue Book I Jesus taught me of His
                    Personal love for me –

                R. Jesus taught me so much in the
                    pre-Blue Book –
                    Jesus taught me how afraid
I was and He had all the
                        power.
God is above – God's power
                        never runs out –

People who use force to manipulate things
to force disorder pull the biggest
                    farce on themselves –
                    they are fooling themselves –
                    they are hating themselves –
they are putting mud in their
                        eyes –

How can a blind man see with
                    mud in his eyes –

Darkness is one's heart makes a man
                    see more and more distortedly
when he turned his back on
God, refused to tell the truth
                    about his sin and walked
in pride – his heart became
                    harder and harder.

God speaks of love in the heart
                    of the man –

His Heart is gentle and loving and tender
                    in Heart –

                God is love –

And the more I know God and His
                    love for me –

The more He possesses me –

The more He uses me as His
                    instrument of love –

In the Gospel of John it says
the TRUTH will be in you!

Jesus is the way, the truth and
                    the life and

                In Him is no darkness.

                Here is a message from

Morning Offering

My dear Father, I offer You this day all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings, my every breath, my every heartbeat, my every thought, all my actions, in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit. I pray the Holy Spirit is with me every second today, enlightening me to do the Will of the Father and filling me with the fire of God's love.

I ask Jesus and Mary to be one in me in all that I do and I unite with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory to pray continually to the Father for these intercessions, in this prayer, for this day.

For myself, I pray for grace-abundant grace, to know and love God more and more and to follow the Will of the Father. I pray to the Holy Spirit to transform me in the heart of Mary to be more and more like Jesus. I pray that I can forever dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. I pray for conversion of all those I hold dear who need conversion. I pray for each member of my family that they will be filled with Your abundant grace to grow in their knowledge and love of God.

I pray for all my friends that they will receive abundant grace to carry out the great plan of the Father, that they will grow forever closer to Jesus' Heart through Mary's heart, that we will all be led by the Holy Spirit to do His work, that we will, together, carry out the plan of the Father as He intends us to, to spread the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary's heart to this world.

Jesus, I pray for myself so the Holy Spirit descends upon me and opens my heart to Your love so I will grow more and more deeply in union with You. I pray that I do not worry what other people think but try always to please the Father and do His Will. I pray that I may help lead many to Your burning love.

I pray for the following people in particular that they will be filled with the Spirit and grow deeply in their union with You, that they will receive abundant graces to know, love and serve You more. (Include special friends by name...)

I pray for priests the world over, for the success of the Priestly Newsletter, the Chapters and for the finances needed for the Newsletter. I pray for the circulation of the Blue Book messages, rosary meditations and tapes. I pray for all those involved in the publication of these messages.

I pray that You will shower Your abundant graces onto the priests reading the Newsletter the people reading and hearing the Blue Book messages and rosary meditations and all of Fr. Carter's publications.

We pray for the intentions we hold deep within our hearts, for our families and friends, for those requesting our prayers. We pray for children the world over and for the souls in purgatory. We ask God to shower His abundant grace on us and the members of our Shepherds of Christ Chapter so that we may grow more and more in our knowledge and love of God.

We consecrate ourselves to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We pray for Father Carter, for Father Smith, for Rita Ring, and for John Weickert, for all leaders and helpers in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, for Shepherds of Christ Ministries, and Our Lady of Light Ministry. We pray for all those who are working in these ministries.

We bind ourselves and our children and our friends to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We place the precious blood of Jesus on ourselves, and all we touch, so that we will be protected from the evil one. We pray to St. Michael to cast the devil into hell.

We love You, God, we love You, we love You. We beg that we may receive the grace to love You more and more deeply. We adore You, we praise You, our beloved Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

                R. We love You God –

We thank You for the moments we have now.

                We praise You God –

We thank You, Jesus, for giving Yourself
                    to us in the Eucharist.

Thank You for Your goodness given to us.

Increase in us the supernatural virtues of
                    faith, hope and love.

When we are weak – we are strong in Christ Jesus.

We must discipline ourselves – control
ourselves and be as God wants us to be.

We are strengthened in Christ Jesus.

Gratitude to God for what has been
                    given us.

Thank You God for Your grace given to us.

I give myself to You –

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

Sing: Blessed be the name of God!

Psalm 113: 1-7

Alleluia!

Praise, servants of Yahweh,
praise the name of Yahweh.
Blessed be the name of Yahweh,
henceforth and for ever.
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
praised be the name of Yahweh!

Supreme over all nations is Yahweh,
supreme over the heavens his glory.
Who is like Yahweh our God?
His throne is set on high,
but he stoops to look down on heaven and earth.

He raises the poor from the dust,
he lifts the needy from the dunghill,

                R. We have Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist.

Luke 6: 43-49

'There is no sound tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that produces sound fruit. Every tree can be told by its own fruit: people do not pick figs from thorns, nor gather grapes from brambles. Good people draw what is good from the store of goodness in their hearts; bad people draw what is bad from the store of badness. For the words of the mouth flow out of what fills the heart. 'Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say? 'Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and acts on them – I will show you what such a person is like. Such a person is like the man who, when he built a house, dug, and dug deep, and laid the foundations on rock; when the river was in flood it bore down on that house but could not shake it, it was so well built. But someone who listens and does nothing is like the man who built a house on soil, with no foundations; as soon as the river bore down on it, it collapsed; and what a ruin that house became!'

Sing: Oh Lord I am not Worthy –

                R. We need to praise and thank God before we
begin to petition Him – always on our lips
is love for God – praising Him, thanking
Him and asking for direction and help.

Luke 8: 16-18

‘No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bowl or to put it under a bed. No, it is put on a lamp–stand so that people may see the light when they come in. For nothing is hidden but it will be made clear, nothing secret but it will be made known and brought to light. So take care how you listen; anyone who has, will be given more; anyone who has not, will be deprived even of what he thinks he has.’

From a Lenten Homily, March 24, 2000

Live in the Moment

Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation.

end of Father Carter's homily

                R. Why are we impatient and hate
to wait? On Sunday September 24th I received
a writing about waiting. God lets
us wait – it takes 9 months to
have a baby. We are here to prepare
                in our life for heaven.

Going to college takes time –
Wanting to play music well takes
practice. God shows us we have
to wait when we are sick to be
                healed.

Fear can stop us from doing
what we need to do. Mary did
exactly as the Father wanted her to do.
At the time of Moses the Israelites
decided to make a molten calf of
gold because Moses was up the
                mountain too long getting the
                commandments. They wanted to
take things in their own hands –
Does that remind us of our anxiousness
when God calls us to wait on God
many times and we do something
                we shouldn't do because we
                don't want to wait.

                    Waiting can be hard when
we have to endure something and
we are embarrassed or we get
                anxious and feel it shouldn't
                take so long.

Our whole life can be lived
                in dissatisfaction of waiting for
anything if we let it. Then God
can let us have a broken leg or
a sickness that teaches us we
                can't do everything we plan,
if we have a broken leg we
have to deal with that. Walking
is indeed a gift God gives us.

God allowed the Israelites to wander
in the desert for 40 years, they were
                thirsty and hungry. God was
                teaching them. Many times they
                disobeyed God and tested Moses,
                complaining and rebelling. They
                were always blaming Moses after
all he did for them. Moses was
faithful to God and they tested God.
They were mean to Moses. Moses
                struck the rock for water
two times – this was in
                disobedience to God – so
Moses was not allowed to take
the people to the promised land.
                Moses displeased God – Moses
who was a leader gave a bad
                example to the people.

                    We should learn from this
God is watching and how we
                act effects others. We teach
people by what we do. We are
                to be witnesses to God.

                    We are responsible and accountable
for what we do and what we do
                has consequences. We are to
be people who bear witness to
                our faith in God.

We are to obey just authority without
                complaining. Recognize authority.
We are to form a well-informed
                conscience and listen to our
conscience to help us do what
is right and avoid what is wrong, to
                make the right choices.

We need to pray for the virtues.
We need to pray for greater faith,
                hope and love.

                    When we make decisions
we should pray to do God's
will – be responsible, be accountable,
                recognize the consequences of our
                actions as mature Christians –
                moral Christians – obeying
                God's law.

                    We must be prudent and
                just and temperate in our
                actions. We pray for fortitude
to do what God calls us to –
not to be a coward or slothful.
we pray for humility like Mary.

                    We love God and want
to be closer to Him so we
                don't offend Him with disobedience,
                lack of responsibility, sins etc.

We have a free will to obey
God's laws or disobey God's laws.
When we do something wrong we
                promptly admit it! We repair
                the breach with others we
                offend in our thoughtless
hurtful ways. We are here to
learn obedience to God – to
                form loving relationships with
                God and others.

We want to have a well-informed
                conscience. We want to know
what is good and what is bad
                so our conscience helps us
make right decisions. – RIGHT Reasoning –
We learn it is wrong to lie –
We don't want to give into
                bad habits –

We don't want to give into
                    the deadly sins.

                We are given God's laws
to live by – we must
                    obey the commandments.

We want the truth in us –

                Jesus says

"I am the way, the truth
                and the life"

John 14: 15-17

If you love me
   you will keep my commandments.
I shall ask the Father,
and he will give you another Paraclete
to be with you for ever,
the Spirit of truth
whom the world can never accept
since it neither sees nor knows him;
but you know him,
because he is with you, he is in you.

                R. Say the Act of Contrition –

Act of Contrition

"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen."

                R. Fr. Carter would examine his conscience
                2 times a day for 10 minutes –
He called it the Examen –
He took his spiritual pulse –
                see if he was deviating
from God's will – If so
                putting yourself on track –
praying for grace we need most.
                Think about consequences of
                    our actions –

We can pray through the intercession
                    of Our Lady –

                The Marriage of Cana teaches
                    us the power of her
                    intercessory prayer –

                R. When Mary appears in Clearwater
                    to me she is
                    praying with us –

                R. God wants us to come in prayer
                    and petition Him for what
                    we need.

He has taught us to pray
                    this way –

Novena to the Infant of Prague
(to be prayed hourly if possible)

O Jesus, who said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you," through the intercession of Mary, Your most holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

O Jesus, who said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary, Your most holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask Your Father in Your Name that my prayer be granted.

O Jesus, who said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My word shall not pass," through the intercession of Mary, Your most holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

                R. God sends guides in our

many times. Disciples are learners –

                September 30, 2017 PM

Jesus: I am love and in Me is no
                darkness. I am a Person – Praise
                Me, Worship Me, Give Honor
and Glory to God. A person
that loves God is about love –
                teaching love – helping people
to be united – spreading love –
Doing God's will – giving to
                others. Doing exactly what
                is your responsibility –
when it is the right time –
                listening when authority has
                addressed you.

Your country and world is in
the state of rebellion. The devil
is running rampant – He wants
                to take the good down.

A man may try to do Good –
to build up My Kingdom –
                Satan uses people to attack
                others and bring them down.

                    The more you are filled
with My life the more you
live in love of God and
                love of others. You practice
                loving God and others. Your
desire is to love with your
                whole heart, your whole soul,
                your whole being. Love is
                how you are.

                    The devil is hate. Some
                people practice their whole
                lives seeing their brothers
                through the eyes of jealousy
and envy and so they develop
                the habits of anger, jealousy,
envy, pride – being on top
                to make their brothers under
                them.

A person of envy sees their
brother as a threat to their
being on top – so the envious
                person wants to bring their
                victim down. It becomes
a very bad habit to hurt
                others, provoke others,
                catch others in untruths
that discredit the other so they
can look good and make the
                innocent look not good.

                    The more a person sees
                themselves as right when
they sin and deny they sin –
the more they grow in greater
                lies and deception to themselves.
Their lives are lived to do
                what they want and never
                be corrected, directed or
                wrong.

                    They thrive on conflict, division,
                confusion and chaos because
                in denying sin they become
                more and more enslaved to
                serving satan in pride and
                anger, jealousy, envy and
                slothfulness. In living such
a way – in denial of sin –
they live a life of deception
                and seeking power for their
                fiendish ways. Satan is
the father of lies to entertain
                deception leads to greater
                and greater hardness in heart.

                    Loving means you give
for the good of the other –
                you rejoice at the person
                doing God's will and helping
to build the Kingdom of God –

Matthew 28: 19-20

Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.'

                R. God calls us to our
                vocation. It is a vocation
to love our neighbor as ourselves.

                The Golden Rule –

Do unto to others as you would
                have them do unto you.

We must have a desire to
                grow in our faith and
grow in the image of God
if we want to grow in
                the spiritual life.

God gives us such a gift
in baptism – He opens up
                the supernatural world
                to us.

                We can reject God,
reject His call and live our
lives in pride and envy and
                jealousy, leading us to
                deeper and deeper darkness
                and misery.

                    A person can say "yes"
                to God's call and respond
to the grace God gives us.

                    We have responsibilities
                when we take on being
                a leader. A leader cannot
                use their position for evil
                without being held accountable
                before God for their conduct.
God is all just and He will
                judge us justly.

A person loving God – gives
love to God and others in
a spirit of generosity as they
                grow in their loving heart
                more and more like Jesus.

                    A person living in darkness
                denying their sin – wants
                to bring others down. Their
world is dark and misery and
                they don't want anyone
                showing real joy so they
                can sabotage and try to
                force darkness on others
                through forceful manipulation.

A person loving God and others
is honest and caring in their
                relationships, respectful
                of others.

                    Children are on a faith
                journey and Mary and Jesus
have asked us to reach them.
                We do this with enthusiasm,
                commitment to spreading
                the Good News of Jesus.
                We help them through example
                to grow in their personal
                relationship with God and
                others –

                    We teach the truth as
                Jesus wants and do not
                give into manipulation
                for jealousy, envy,
                pride, anger, acting-out
                on innocent others.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11

There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven:

A time for giving birth,
a time for dying;
a time for planting,
a time for uprooting what has been planted.
A time for killing,
a time for healing;
a time for knocking down,
a time for building.
A time for tears,
a time for laughter;
a time for mourning,
a time for dancing.
A time for throwing stones away,
a time for gathering them;
a time for embracing,
a time to refrain from embracing.
A time for searching,
a time for losing;
a time for keeping,
a time for discarding.
A time for tearing,
a time for sewing;
a time for keeping silent,
a time for speaking.
A time for loving,
a time for hating;
a time for war,
a time for peace.

What do people gain from the efforts they make? I contemplate the task that God gives humanity to labour at. All that he does is apt for its time; but although he has given us an awareness of the passage of time, we can grasp neither the beginning nor the end of what God does.

                R. We have so many days to live
                    here on earth to prepare
                    us for heaven –
                    Why do people reject God,
                    reject loving and live
                    a life of treating others
                    as hateful enemies –

We recognize a job well done
and rejoice in a Godly person.

                    Am I enthusiastic about the
Good News of Jesus – do I
                show my commitment to
                the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Do I pray for grace to be
as Jesus wants me to be and
                do I cooperate with the
                grace God gives me?

                    Do I share myself –
                my heart, my love with
                others –

Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

e) Relationship with Members of the Church

There is but one true Church of Christ. Yet this one Church has three different states of existence. There is the pilgrim Church, the Church of this world, composed of members who have received the grace of Christ and strive for its development. They have not yet obtained the goal of their efforts, as have the members of the heavenly Church, who enjoy God in eternal happiness. The Church suffering is an intermediate state of existence necessary for those who had not achieved the required purification as members of the pilgrim Church. Although there are these three phases of the Church’s existence, there is a profound union existing between all the members. All these members possess the same basic life of grace in Christ, and this common life establishes the most intimate bonds of love. In our preceding chapter, we discussed the pilgrim Church. Let us now consider the Church suffering and the heavenly Church.

The members of the Church suffering are those who have departed from this life in an incomplete state of Christian development. Their development is incomplete in the sense that grace has not fully taken possession of them, and, as a result, they are yet closed in upon themselves to a greater or lesser degree. They as yet cannot open themselves out in complete love to the Triune God in the beatific vision. They must undergo a further purification, a purification which could have been achieved upon earth with merit. Now the purification must be achieved with no merit attached. The pain of this purification is mixed with the certain expectation of achieving the vision of God. We can hasten the advent of this vision for this people by the offering of prayers and other good works. Scripture itself refers to our action on behalf of those in purgatory in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Maccabees beginning with verse 38.

The members of the heavenly Church are those in whom the life of grace has taken full possession and has reached its completion in the life of glory. Faith now is unnecessary, as the light of glory gives the human intellect a new strength and capacity for seeing God face-to-face. While the Christian was a wayfarer, he received the imprint of the indwelling Trinity as he shared in God’s own life. Now in heaven that grace-life and possession of God reaches its completion—the absolute completion is not achieved, however, until the resurrection of the body. The divine persons give Themselves to the beatified in a profound union far surpassing that of the indwelling of the Trinity experienced here below.

This life of heaven is still the Christ-life, for just as we possess a share in Trinitarian life here below as mediated by Christ, and exercise this grace-life as structured by Him, so also in heaven is the mediation of Christ present. In the words of Rahner, "One always sees the Father through Jesus. Just as immediately as this, for the directness of the vision of God is not a denial of the mediatorship of Christ as man."14 And not only does the humanity of Christ unite the blessed to God, but also, in some way, to the whole of creation. This is merely a completion of what is begun here below, namely, the union with Christ in His humanity establishing the Christian in a special relationship with God, with other men, and with the whole of creation. We have a glimpse, therefore, of the fullness of life which members of the heavenly Church possess.

The heavenly Church, as St. Thomas says, is the true Church.15 The Church of this earth and the Church of purgatory are, each in its own way, reaching out in loving hope for the heavenly Jerusalem. Vatican II puts it very simply: "The Church, to which we are called in Christ Jesus, and in which we acquire sanctity through the grace of God, will attain her full perfection only in the glory of heaven."16

The members of the heavenly Church can help us in living our life of grace until we too share its fullness with them. Their power of intercession on our behalf is but another ramification of the communal aspect of Christianity. We are meant to help others grow in Christ. We, in turn, are intended by God to receive aid from others—yes, from members of the heavenly Church, as well as from those with whom we dwell here below.

Not only can we be aided by the saints’ intercession, but the example of the canonized saints can also be of great value to us. They have concretely proved that full holiness is possible. Such an inspiration is of real worth when we are tempted to think that Christian sanctity in its higher degrees is impossible of attainment. Moreover, the canonized saints, in their diversity, teach us that there are many authentic versions of Christian holiness. They can be innovators in showing us that there are numerous possibilities in assimilating the mystery of Christ, although the basic assimilation remains the same for all Christians of all times. In the opinion of Rahner this is one of the chief roles the canonized saints exert in the life of the Church.17

                R. Do I recognize my dependence
on God? Do I operate under
                authority respecting those
over me and obeying as I
                as supposed to – giving
                a good example of the
                structure I am to honor
                and endorse
or do I try to rule in
                independence – using those
over me to try to control,
                manipulate, discredit and
                show others under me –
the gross disorder I engage in,
                fighting correction, direction
and the truth about the consequences?

                    Am I joyful in obedience
                and before others in events
or do I seek the attention
                every where to bring down
                the good, people are doing
                and try to hurt them,
                discredit them and cause
                chaos for my seeking
                dominance at any cost for
                my honor and glory!

                    Do I report back to
                authority to help the growth
                God wants? Do I encourage
                others for the gifts they
give me – or am I an
                empty well sucking out
                all the joy and causing
                chaos and confusion for
                my own power and glory
                over everyone –

Do I try to unite others and
                rejoice when others operate
                in unity and love?

Do I love God and the
vocation God has called me to love
and to serve Him and others?
                Am I teaching being focused
on God's work for me and
                showing God how much
                I love serving Him –

                    Do I show others – I like
                them? I love my work.
                I see myself sharing
in the building of God's Kingdom
                with Jesus and I love
                serving with Jesus and
                I love doing the Father's
holy will and I love having
a spirit of unity and love –

Do I respect the order and
live by it or am I always
trying to tear the order down –
                discredit authority and
                cause disorder?

                    Do I help the schedule
God wants or do I try
                to get all the attention
                and sabotage what God
                wants because I refuse
                to co-operate with others
                on anything –

God works in order, in co-operation,
in obedience, in love, in respect,
                God works in rules and
                He wants them followed
                and enforced.

                    In religious life – Religious
                live under a rule –

                    Discipline is necessary,
                God shows us recompense
must be made for sin –
Jesus, the Son of God, came and
died on the cross for our sins –

                    Why would a person think
                they can disobey rules and
                create division and chaos
                and punish others forcing
                things to go array and
                think they won't be
                punished when they deny
                their actions and refuse
                to even admit their wrongful
                ways of disorder.

Romans 8: 5-9

Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

                Jesus: Directions and corrections
                    are vital –

                I expect good behavior of
                    a person holding a position
                    of leadership and calling
                    themselves a religious.

                I will not tolerate the
                    disorder and disrespect
                    of authority much longer.
                    Your world is turning
                    LAWLESS in many
                    cases.

Problems are to be addressed and
                    worked through –

A person doing what they want
                    and expecting no consequences
                    will suffer misery for
                    their rebellion –
                    interior suffering and
                        misery –

You are to do what you
                    are told to do with
                    a good attitude –
                    willingly

                You are to be cooperative,
                    enthusiastic about
                    the jobs given to you
                    from those over you.

                Be consistent –

A person who is serving satan
                    creates confusion
                    and wants negative
                    attention to take
                    good people working
                    in doing God's will –

Do you pray for the grace
                    you need most –

Pray for the grace for a
                    healthy relationship
                    with God.

Pray to do a good job
                    for Me (Jesus).

                Your heart must be open
                    and at the center of
                    your heart is your
                    focus on Me (Jesus Christ).

                    Your relationship with Me is
                PERSON CENTERED –

                    Your relationship with others
                is PERSON CENTERED –

                    You don't treat others as
objects or as a means to your
                selfish desires.

                    You are to meditate on
what it is to be likened
                to Christ! Meditate on
My actions – My loving actions –

                R. Christ leads us to the Father
                in the Holy Spirit.

                    We become more and more
one with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
                God lives in the graced,
                baptized soul.

Jesus: You are to be formed
more and more in My image
                and likeness – Live the
                Christ - life –

Conversion – The Lady of Fatima
100 years ago asked for conversion
that is changing to be more and
more in My image and likeness.

                    Celebrate your life in Me.
                Celebrate, have the joy
                this brings. Be children
                of the Light –

                    Beauty – See Beauty
with your eyes – the choice is yours –

Jesus: Show that you are a person
who respects God and others –
a person that respects authority –
a person that respects order –

                ROLES and OBEDIENCE

Write a letter to Me –

                Open the Blue Book –

                Meditate on what you read
                    in the Blue Book

                R. We have studied the Old Testament and our
Fathers in the Old Testament. We saw the
faith of each man and his
                commitment to lead and to
                obey God.

                    Abraham was tested and He
obeyed God through all the tests.
                Jacob was given visions –
He was tested – He suffered –
He waited – He obeyed God –
                    Joseph did God's will –
                    Moses did God's will

At the time of Noah the
                    world was corrupt and God
                    flooded the earth –

God calls us to holiness –
                We are witnesses – we
                will be judged when we
                rebel against God and
                intentionally try to block
His plan of leading souls to
                Him –

Jesus died for these souls –

Jesus: A person of pride seeks
one thing – to always bring
                authority down under them –
                They deal with Me –

                    I chose your Father Abraham
                to tell the nations about
God – You are to commit
                your lives to God –
                Rebelling against God
who created you is foolish –

                    You are to help build
                the Family of God –
                You are to have faith
                in the one true God!

Sacrifice

R. When I go to Mass I offer a sacrifice. God wants our all. He wants to be first in our life. He asked Abraham to sacrifice his son.

Gen. 22:1-2, 9-13, 15-18:

It happened some time later that God put Abraham to the test. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he called. 'Here I am,' he replied. God said, 'Take your son, your only son, your beloved Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, where you are to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I shall point out to you. '

When they arrived at the place which God had indicated to him, Abraham built an altar there, and arranged the wood. Then he bound his son and put him on the altar on top of the wood. Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to kill his son.

But the angel of Yahweh called to him from heaven. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he said. 'Here I am,' he replied. 'Do not raise your hand against the boy,' the angel said. 'Do not harm him, for now I know you fear God. You have not refused me your own beloved son.' Then looking up, Abraham saw a ram caught by its horns in a bush. Abraham took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.

The angel of Yahweh called Abraham a second time from heaven. 'I swear by my own self, Yahweh declares, that because you have done this, because you have not refused me your own beloved son, I will shower blessings on you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will gain possession of the gates of their enemies. All nations on earth will bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed my command.'

R. The Father gave His Son for us. This is how great the Father's love is for us.

When we go to the altar many times we are suffering. We want something really bad, but we know we love God the most. What the Father asks for us is to offer that which we are so attached to as a sacrifice, united to the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. If we offer this sacrifice to Him, the Father will pour out blessings that will be divine blessings, greater than anything we could have here on earth.

The Mass is the perfect sacrifice we offer to the Father, in which God pours out His blessings and we are one with Him and with all others in a profound expression of love. God shares His divine love with us and we partake in an intense way in His divine loving capacity. In order to become one in Him and to feel His love like this, we must surrender ourselves and be open.

He told Abraham to offer his son. God gave him his son back. He wanted Abraham to love God above all things and people.

Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice to the Father. This is the most pleasing sacrifice to the Father. If He gave His Son Who died for love of us, will He deny us when we unite our petitions with Jesus and offer these at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?

He took them to the highest mountain and He was transfigured before them in the greatest light.

Mark 9:2-10:

Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, 'Rabbi,' he said, 'it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.' He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, 'This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.' Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.

As they were coming down from the mountain he warned them to tell no one what they had seen, until after the Son of man had risen from the dead. They observed the warning faithfully, though among themselves they discussed what 'rising from the dead' could mean.

R. We go to the altar of sacrifice. The mountain to come, in which so many graces will flow, is the altar of sacrifice where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered through the hands of consecrated priests.

We hear the Father say, "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, listen to Him." He is speaking to us. He is the Word. He is speaking in these messages. He is unveiling the Scriptures and speaking to us in plain talk. This is a great gift He is giving to us.

We are transformed in the Mass. We unite with the greatest sacrifice offered in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We have the most perfect sacrifice to offer to the Father when we offer this sacrifice. He gives us great blessings. We die to ourselves, we become white.

We must unite all of our sacrifices to this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being said all over the world. This is the greatest way to magnify all of our offerings - by uniting everything we do as an offering, a sacrifice to the Father in union with His Son.

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
