Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. We are called to be holy.
R. God loves us so deeply!!
Mary said:
My soul doth magnify the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!!R. You can't let your past rule your life.
Every day is a new day.
Live in the moment.
In a choir the director brings together all these different voices.
They all have their particular tone to sing.Sunday I heard the choir – 4 voices joined as one.
Each part was directed by the director. Each had to do their part, but follow the director.
At one point a lead singer sang a beautiful part.
Everyone was silent and let her do her part.Ending and beginning at the right time brings perfect harmony.
Working as one, everyone singing their part – no competition following directions from the director.
It can be beautiful, when people work as a team.
It is utter pandemonium when people do what they want in disorder and competition on a team.
It is a way to lose when a person rebels and thinks in competition treating the other players like enemies to the plan.
God created them male and female you can't be both male and female, competition between sexes, tension needs to be addressed and a workable solution employed.
God made them male and female.
Having dysfunctional problems with the opposite sex hurts the plan God intends.
Treating people that are those we need to work with, with sibling dysfunction - acting out the unhealed past on innocent others is wrong.People with the Father wound, mother wound living isolated at 60 and 70 need to heal.
It is wrong to live an entire life missing the joy of love in relationships with others because of dysfunction with mother wounds, father wounds, sibling wounds.Jesus: It's satan's loop-hole to get in.
R. We can do whatever God calls us to. A person with a knee problem, cancer, etc. have to face things to live life.
God wants us to live the life of resurrection, more and more as we die to our self, our dysfunction.
God is the greatest healer of wounds.
Who would keep a skinned-knee 50 years?
Right - reasoning.
The wisdom of The Holy Spirit.
Surrender to God.
Matthew 22: 36-40
‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
John 1: 1-15
A: PROLOGUE
In the beginning was the Word:
the Word was with God
and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things came into being,
not one thing came into being
except through him.
What has come into being in him was life,
life that was the light of men;
and light shines in darkness,
and darkness could not overpower it.A man came, sent by God.
His name was John.
He came as a witness,
to bear witness to the light,
so that everyone might believe
through him.
He was not the light,
he was to bear witness to the light. The Word was the real light
that gives light to everyone;
he was coming into the world.
He was in the world
that had come into being through him,
and the world did not recognise him.
He came to his own
and his own people did not accept him.But to those who did accept him
he gave power to become children of God,
to those who believed in his name
who were born not from human stock
or human desire
or human will
but from God himself.
The Word became flesh,
he lived among us,
and we saw his glory,
the glory that he has from the Father
as only Son of the Father,
full of grace and truth.John witnesses to him. He proclaims:
‘This is the one of whom I said:
He who comes after me
has passed ahead of me
because he existed before me.’
R. Jesus understands more than anyone else.Jesus is the answer to all our problems from our past, our problems now.
God is Almighty, He is the Divine healer.Jesus loves us.
God the Father has a plan for our lives.
We need a relationship with Him.God is the answer.
We can't live the past again.
We can't live in the future.
We can only live in the present moment. It's a beautiful day, given to us by God!!
A person must think positively.
Negativity can drive a person to being an expert in self-pity.We are to thank God for the gift of baptism. Die to our ways not like Jesus and live more and more the life of resurrection, preparing ourselves for eternal life.
Give love.
Fall in love with Jesus.
Beg to grow in love.
We were created to love.
Created to grow in the image and likeness of Jesus. We can drive ourselves away from blessings, God is giving, if we are negative, and live self-destructive patterns.
God is real. Grow in greater faith to believe deeply in God.
That is our strength, faith, hope and love.
Good habits to joyful living!!
We can push those loving us away or force them to leave by self-destructive unloving behavior.
Christian maturity.
A person living in self-pity needs to grow-up.
Needs to die to self-centered, self-focused ways and live positively. Live to be lifted up, live the life of resurrection.
Die to the ways that are unpleasing to God. Live according to God's will in love.Christian maturity is disciplining oneself.
Not disciplining oneself is being out of control.God gives us a life, we have duties and responsibilities.
The devil tempts those being sinful to be prideful and deny the truth about bad behavior.
First to thine own self be true.We are here to live in harmony with each other.
We are made of body, mind and spirit.
The body is made for the soul.
We are to prepare for eternal life.Let's look at St. Paul.
He changed and wrote so much of the New Testament.
It is the prayers of our ancestors for us that may be helping us grow in Jesus today.
Always pray for those who are not in a good place.
We can keep trying to help others and then not take care of our own healing and pain.
Reality is in God.
We must be truthful about our own needs of healing.
Can we look at ourselves in the mirror and realize God loves us, others love us, and love ourselves.Growing up spiritually is growing in love.
Growing in love of God, others, and oneself. The Good Shepherd tells us God's intimate love for us.
God is calling us to drop the baggage and ask for healing of our wounds. The Father created us for His plan in love.
The Father is our loving Father.
He can heal the Father wounds, Mother wounds, sibling wounds.
God wants us to grow in the spiritual life. You must die to old sinful habits, this takes God's grace.
This takes surrender. This takes dying to pride, growing in humility.
It takes loving others and the talents God has given and dying to sinful habits of pride, anger, envy, violence against innocent others for living God's plan for them.
God is good, all the time.
Jesus loves us so much. Our Father, please help us in our crosses to be greater one in Thee.
Freedom is in Jesus even in the greatest suffering.
Suffering in real issues and suffering we bring on ourselves.Jesus calls us to grow in holiness. Pray to the Holy Spirit.
Pray, and know God cares, really cares to His death on the cross.
Jesus died for us.
Let's pray to do God's will and live in love.
Don't be afraid of death.
Only one thing is important, eternal salvation. Sin takes us from eternal salvation. We have one life to live. This life should be a pass-over.
When we die - we pass-over to eternal happiness in heaven.
Live every day loving and helping others. We can hurt those closest to us the most if we refuse to grow or die to our selfish ways.
I remember a man Louie Bascalia said "Don't wait until your wife dies to buy her a red dress."
When we're gone, we are gone, our days are spent, we can never live the moments of our life again.
R. You are called by God to help me spread this message.
R. Suffering is suffering, we must stay rooted in Jesus and unite our suffering to Christ crucified.
We teach others about prayer, others pray for us.
God doesn't come and go.
God is our strength.
He renews our spirit.
Whatever we go through, God is there, always.
Our strength is in God!
Our strength is in God!
We are vulnerable!
We need humility, not pride.
Humility is truth.Sing: Our Father
Sing: Glory BeGod we pray for healing in Jesus' name. Healing grace we need most. Our Father loves us, even though we are sinners.
He loves us His precious child.
R. God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Humility is truth.
Our Father is our Father, He never leaves us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.
Come Holy Spirit come fill us with Your love.
R. Dear God help us heal from our wounds.
God never leaves us.
God wants us with Him in heaven, forever.
Death / Resurrection
Jesus is our Savior.
Sing: A Song from Jesus
Sing: God's Love
Sing: Amazing Grace
Sing: Danny Boy
We must work together to win.
God intends us to learn how to give and take, learn to work together.Fr. Carter said God intends us to work hand-in-hand.
God created us social beings.
As we work together we learn about ourselves and others. We can project our anger on innocent others and they have nothing to do with our pain.
Projection of our pain by hurting others is sinful.
The devil can tempt a person to believe they have the right to hurt others with malice of intent because they believe someone unjustly hurt them.
It is in fact injustice.God is Divinely just.
Song: I Am a God of Justice
R. There will come a time in our life when we will take our last breath.
The soul was make for heaven.
When we love our brothers, we love God.
What we do to others, we do to God.Mary is the Queen of Peace, she appeared in Clearwater to bring peace to the world.
God has asked us in Shepherds of Christ to spread the devotion to the Sacred Heart and Mary's Immaculate Heart.

R. The devil is a liar, he wants us to be suspicious of others and hate one another.
When we love others, we love God.Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
When we live in truth we are close to Jesus, who loves us and wants us to go home to heaven.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
