Messenger:
God calls us to love each other
and be one.
The commandments are gifts given from God to
follow for happy living.
Not cheating one another, not being jealous,
not having promiscuous sex, not trying to lustfully
tempt others, not stealing — these are all things
we must do.
God has given us Himself. He is a God of love —
He is all just, He is merciful, He is our
best friend. He is Divine and yet He loves us so
very much. We were created to love God, to know
His love and to love one another.
With regard to God and Adam and Eve. God was
in charge — He created Adam and Eve and He gave
them a free will to obey Him or not —
At the end of the Bible we see the victors.
To me the victors are the ones who give
their hearts to Jesus and Mary and are most conformed
to the will of God. A person living the life
of consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
want things the way God wants them to be.
We see how Eve did her own will.
We see pride —
We see competition.
If every time two people interact there is
a great loss of energy if because of
selfish pride giving into satan there is
a struggle for power. What should be the
measuring stick is what is God's will — how
can I serve Him.
When the sun is out we may say, oh
what a beautiful day, but if all days
were dry without rain how would the
flowers grow.
God sent a man who was the King
far away to learn of greater things for
making the kingdom greater — on the
return the king had to deal with a
mass of willful servants. The new work
was not accomplished and a hole may
have been dug and all crawled in —
where there could have been growth
and advancement, because of the foolish
pride of the nobles, the new knowledge
was soon forgotten while the king battled
his servants for power.
Many stories have been given in
the bible of the struggle for power from
Cain and Abel to Joseph and his brothers to
Christ, Himself, who was put to death
on a cross.
Today the struggle is greater than
ever before, a priest once said he
doubted if 25% of the people really
recognize Christ in His rightful place
as King and Savior.
2000 years after Christ's death we
see how secular the world has become.

Jesus speaks: Seedless, barren, not bringing forth fruit on the vine. I come to be heard and who pays Me heed. To a people of stiffs I address this issue, what think you when the water is gone from the trough?
Do you think you will then worship the molten calf or will you be ready for surrender then?
Oh, you thankless race, anger and wrath is the mind of your God. You do not worry, My messenger, for I am God and I speak to you. You think you are alone and I have chosen you. Your money is your god, oh people of Zion - your money in the pockets is the sound that brings you joy.
What brings Me joy is the songs of the faithful, praising and worshipping God, but I go to the tent and there is the molten calf and an abased nation of stiffs, heartless and filled with fear. I beg of you to stop now before it is too late, but you do not know of the chastisement I have in store for you - it is under the plan of the Father.
The children who walk in darkness carried a molten calf in their arms and the God of justice struck the earth.
He struck you, senseless people, because you would not listen.
I did not put you on the earth and then leave you to yourselves. I dwelt amongst you to guide you in all your ways and the people today spit on Me as they did 2,000 years before. For all these years I waited for the likes of you, My people, and why should you have more time for false joy? Joy is not in the molten calf. It is in the words of the Savior.
My Words are your truth, yet you try to wash them away as hearsay and of no importance.
My Word is the Word of God mighty and true. I have been ignored and defiled in My Word. I smite you, My senseless race. I allow the dragon to devour your young for you are the senseless race. I allow the dragon to devour your young for you are the senseless children of Eve.
Debased, proud and dead, really dead in your hearts.
I give you sunshine and rain and you want flowers and glory.
The glory is Mine or I will have to continue to listen to the wailing widow, a barren branch, a company of stiffs.
Ignore Me no longer senseless ones. My hand is upon you. It will come down and wipe out the senseless virgins, the ones singing to the molten calf.
Rachel could hear the slaughter of her children and she wept such bitter tears. The Lady Clothed as the Sun bore the barren race; they did not come to her grace-filled womb.
The thankless race marched into a pit of doom and destruction.
As I was pressed in the garden watching the days at hand, as I was squeezed, what came forth from My pores was the saving Blood for the children of Zion and when they ate from the land they feasted on rich food and strong drinks, the candy of the earth and it made them sick - sick to the death of their souls and the Lady Clothed as the Sun heard the cries of her sick children. I give you the medicine for the sick children in these writings and they chase you and make you fall to the ground. I watched you skin your knees when you carried the scrolls that contained My letters of love, My words from the depths of My Heart. You fell as I once did on the way to Calvary. I fell, I skinned My knees, My Body burned and I got up and went to the end.
The end was the beginning for the children of Zion for at that hill My cross was planted erect, a tree of life, and the juice that was squeezed 'till there was no more from the one "Son of Man, the Son of God", was the juice of the Man. It was His saving Blood.
They pressed Me in the Garden of Olives and I bled for the thankless race. They hung Me on a tree on the hill of Calvary. When I gave them the New Eve they chose the molten calf. They spit on My Mother, they ignored the visitations. She came and gave to the children to remind them of their covenant with God.
Oh senseless ones, so many will now fall, for I hung there and to the right was one and to the left another. The one was saved; the other was cursed. You picked from the tree when you should have obeyed your Father. He gave you His will. He said, "You may eat of all the trees in the garden but not this one." and you continually ate of the forbidden fruit. I warned you, My children, and you chased My messengers and made them run. I gave to you My Book of Life, My Bible, and you ate the sick fruit and it made you so sick you wanted to die but you kept eating when I told you the end was near and now that the end has come, what do you say for yourself? You ignored the Lady Clothed as the Sun. She appeared in all glory and splendor and so many months later so few go to her site to even see her. So is it My fault or yours our money does not come to publish your books and tell the world about the Woman in Florida? It is not My fault, I am God. I am the faultless One.
You want joy. I have no joy for the likes of you, My children of Zion, you have usurped My thrones and treated My body as rubbish. I am God. I come in the Eucharist and I am ignored. I speak no longer. The days that follow will be the days to cleanse this earth.
I am angered beyond all anger for the way My Mother has been treated in Florida by the thankless race. They have worshipped the molten calf and ignored the Lady of Light, the Lady Clothed as the Sun, the Lady of Fatima in the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe, bringing forth her children. The good will suffer with the bad; the wheat will be separated from the darnel (weeds). You walked like little stiff men with your haughty hearts. Your heads were your gods. I gave you great minds to comprehend My mysteries and you used your minds to worship false gods and make movies that defile My priesthood. What of your minds? I do not even have energy to tell you how unworthy you used the mind, the intellect I gave you. You used this great faculty to commit the worst sins, and My head was crowned with the sharpest thorns for your sick earth. Oh, you squeezed the Blood from the Son of Man. You pressed that Man in the garden, when He knew this race of this day.
I now see the Woman on the building, My Mother, so loving to the children I gave her and the mean ones threw acid on her face. Oh, you race of vile hearts and thankless ways. I will clothe the holy ones in the white robes of glory. The thankless ones I will turn over to the red men that will hand them over to the keeper of the pit and their bodies will be burned in the burning sulfur of the pool of death. Come, My children of light, your Mother called you through the consecration. She showed you the way home to My Heart. She carried a lighted lamp and lighted your way in the darkness. You were not foolish like the virgins that carried a lamp without a light. Your light for the lamp was My life alive in your hearts. When the darkest night comes you will know the flames of My love alive in your lighted hearts, burning with the fire from the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I give you the fuel, My faithful virgins. I gave you the fuel to light your lamps that in the dark night that lies ahead, you will still shine as a beacon light, a light of intense brightness no matter how dark the night. You will not die for your refuge is the fire of the Sacred Heart and you gave your heart to the New Eve, the pure and Immaculate One and she took you to the Heart of your Savior. She took you home and you dwelt within the chamber of My Heart and you were protected from the evil one in these last days. You tried to spread this consecration. It is the key that leads to the place of refuge. So many camps the devil told men to prepare and they labored in vain, for the Word was had in dwelling in Our Hearts. You would find refuge and they missed the message and busied themselves with the work of the evil one.
I say to you what refuge survived when Noah built his ark? Only those on the ark survived the great flood. You prepare your earth. When My Word was to prepare your hearts. Then again, they worshipped the church building, the grounds and the wood and their hearts were left as cold vaults. I beg you, My beauteous ones, to beg the men to prepare their hearts before it is too late. Only the Ark of the Covenant will be the means of survival in this dark age. When the moon turns to blood they will run away frightened and their buildings will be like cold vaults - only the hearts consecrated to Our Hearts will survive.
You were willful and too busy to know the story. The story is this: There is but one home; it is the Heart of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. My Mother is the gatekeeper. It is through her Immaculate Heart you enter. She is the singular vessel, a New Eve, a Woman Clothed as the Sun, a doorway to the everlasting abyss of Light, the Light of the World, the Sacred Eucharistic Heart of the Son of Man.
There was not room for Me in the Inn and there is not room for Me in the hearts of many and what can I say - they will die. I gave them the book of life. I gave them the Man who hung on a tree to save them. I gave them Myself, truly present in the Eucharist, the Eucharist and My Word I gave them. I gave to them My Mother - the way to enter into My Heart and they were haughty and proud. I was born in a stable in Bethlehem for you, My men. I am the Light of the World. The foolish virgins had no oil for their lamps and they went out. And you could hear the wailing cries of her children being slaughtered in the dark night. Oh, the Lady Clothed as the Sun warned them to come to her heart and the Heart of her Son (the Light of the World) and they went to the molten calf and they died a brutal death.

The flood lasted forty days on earth. The waters swelled, lifting the ark until it floated off the ground. The waters rose, swelling higher above the ground, and the ark drifted away over the waters. The waters rose higher and higher above the ground until all the highest mountains under the whole of heaven were submerged. The waters reached their peak fifteen cubits above the submerged mountains. And all living things that stirred on earth perished; birds, cattle, wild animals, all the creatures swarming over the earth, and all human beings. Everything with the least breath of life in its nostrils, everything on dry land, died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out, people, animals, creeping things and birds; they were wiped off the earth and only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. As My Apostles and Shepherds I ask you to encourage all existing Chapters to try to encourage all existing prayer groups to pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers. Encourage all Churches to pray these prayers. It is most urgent that the people of this earth concur with the Father's wishes to begin Prayer Chapters. This is an urgent request from the Good Shepherd. The flock will become one when they have given their hearts to Jesus and Mary. Encourage all priests to pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers. Your world will be lighted with great light as the people of this earth pray these prayers.
My promise is this to you My beloved earth: When you give your heart to Me and spread the devotion to My Sacred Heart, I will write your name In My Heart. I promise to give the greatest graces when you pray these prayers for renewal of the Church and the world and take all who pray them deeply into My Heart. The prayers I give will bring about the reign of My Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart. I am Jesus Christ, this is My message of January 22, 1998, Please circulate this message to your world. I am the Good Shepherd, I know Mine and Mine know Me and they follow Me. D: THE PLAGUES OF EGYPT
The staff turned into a snake
Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, ‘If Pharaoh says to you, "Display some marvel," you must say to Aaron, "Take your staff and throw it down in front of Pharaoh, and let it turn into a serpent!" ’ Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as Yahweh had ordered. Aaron threw down his staff in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it turned into a serpent. Then Pharaoh in his turn called for the sages and sorcerers, and by their spells the magicians of Egypt did the same. Each threw his staff down and these turned into serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up theirs. Pharaoh, however, remained obstinate and, as Yahweh had foretold, refused to listen to Moses and Aaron.
The first plague: the water turns to blood
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Pharaoh is adamant. He refuses to let the people go. Go to Pharaoh tomorrow morning as he makes his way to the water, confront him on the river bank and in your hand take the staff that turned into a snake. Say to him, "Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, sent me to say: Let my people go and worship in the desert. Up till now, you have refused to listen. This is what Yahweh says: You will know that I am Yahweh by this: with the staff that is in my hand I shall strike the waters of the River and they will turn to blood. The fish in the river will die, and the River will stink, and the Egyptians will not be able to drink the river water." ’
Yahweh said to Moses, ‘Say to Aaron, "Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over their rivers and canals, their marshland, and all their reservoirs—and they will turn to blood. There will be blood throughout the whole of Egypt, even in sticks and stones." ’ Moses and Aaron did as Yahweh ordered. He raised his staff and struck the waters of the River, with Pharaoh and his officials looking on, and all the water in the River turned to blood. The fish in the River died, and the River stank; and the Egyptians could no longer drink the River water. Throughout the whole of Egypt there was blood. But by their spells the magicians of Egypt did the same; Pharaoh remained obstinate and, as Yahweh had foretold, refused to listen to Moses and Aaron. Pharaoh turned away and went back into his palace, taking no notice even of this. And the Egyptians all dug holes along the river–bank in search of drinking water, since they could not drink the River water. After Yahweh struck the River, seven days went by.
The second plague: the frogs
Then Yahweh said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh and say to him, "Yahweh says this: Let my people go and worship me. If you refuse to let them go, I shall strike your whole territory with frogs. The River will swarm with frogs; they will make their way into your palace, into your bedroom, onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and subjects, into your ovens, into your kneading bowls. The frogs will actually clamber onto you, onto your subjects and onto all your officials." ’

Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Say to Aaron, "Stretch out your hand with your staff, over the rivers, the canals and the marshland, and bring the frogs up over the land of Egypt." ’ So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. But by their spells the magicians did the same, bringing frogs over the land of Egypt.
Pharaoh then summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ‘Entreat Yahweh to take the frogs away from me and my subjects, and I promise to let the people go and sacrifice to Yahweh.’ Moses said to Pharaoh, ‘You are the one to gain by it: when would you like me to pray for you, your officials and your subjects, so as to rid you and your houses of the frogs so that they will be left only in the River?’ ‘Tomorrow,’ he said. Moses said, ‘It shall be as you say, so that you will know that there is no one like Yahweh our God. The frogs will leave you, your houses, your officials and your subjects and will be left only in the River.’ Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh’s presence, and Moses pleaded with Yahweh about the frogs which he had inflicted on Pharaoh. Yahweh did as Moses asked, and in house and courtyard and field the frogs died. They piled them up in heaps and the country stank. But once Pharaoh saw that there had been a respite, he became obstinate and, as Yahweh had foretold, refused to listen to them.
The third plague: the mosquitoes
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Say to Aaron, "Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the earth, and it will turn into mosquitoes throughout the whole of Egypt." ’ Aaron stretched out his hand, with his staff, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were mosquitoes on man and beast; all the dust of the earth turned into mosquitoes throughout the whole of Egypt. By their spells the magicians tried to produce mosquitoes in the same way but failed, and there were mosquitoes on man and beast. So the magicians said to Pharaoh, ‘This is the finger of God.’ But Pharaoh was obstinate and, as Yahweh had foretold, refused to listen to them.
The fourth plague: the horseflies
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh as he makes his way to the water. Say to him, "Yahweh says this: Let my people go and worship me. But if you will not let my people go, I shall send horseflies on you, on your officials, your subjects and your houses. The Egyptians’ houses will swarm with horseflies, and so will the very ground they stand on. But I shall exempt the region of Goshen, where my people are living, that day; there will be no horseflies there, so that you will know that I am Yahweh, here in this country. I shall make a distinction between my people and your people. This sign will take place tomorrow." ’ Yahweh did this, and great swarms of horseflies found their way into Pharaoh’s palace, into his officials’ houses and all over Egypt; the country was ruined by the horseflies.
Pharaoh then summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ‘Go and sacrifice to your God, inside the country.’ ‘That would never do,’ Moses said, ‘since what we sacrifice to Yahweh our God is outrageous to the Egyptians. If the Egyptians see us offering sacrifices which outrage them, won’t they stone us? We shall make a three–days’ journey into the desert to sacrifice to Yahweh our God, as he has ordered us.’ Pharaoh said, ‘I will let you go and sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the desert, provided you do not go very far. Pray for me.’ ‘The moment I leave you,’ Moses said, ‘I shall pray to Yahweh. Tomorrow morning the horseflies will leave Pharaoh, his officials and his subjects. But Pharaoh must stop trifling with us by not allowing the people to go and sacrifice to Yahweh.’ Moses then left Pharaoh’s presence and prayed to Yahweh, and Yahweh did as Moses asked; the horseflies left Pharaoh, his officials and his subjects; not one remained. But Pharaoh became obstinate this time too and did not let the people go.

The fifth plague: death of the Egyptians’ livestock
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh and say to him, "Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, says this: Let my people go and worship me. If you refuse to let them go and detain them any longer, look, the hand of Yahweh will strike your livestock in the fields, horses, donkeys, camels, oxen and flocks with a deadly plague. Yahweh will discriminate between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt: nothing of what belongs to the Israelites will die. Yahweh has fixed the time. Tomorrow, he has said, Yahweh will do this in the country." ’ Next day Yahweh did this: all the Egyptians’ livestock died, but nothing of the livestock owned by the Israelites died. Pharaoh had enquiries made, and found that of the livestock owned by the Israelites not a single beast had died. But Pharaoh was obstinate and did not let the people go.
The sixth plague: the boils
Yahweh then said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Take handfuls of soot from the kiln, and before Pharaoh’s eyes let Moses throw it in the air. It will turn into fine dust over the whole of Egypt and produce boils breaking into sores on man and beast throughout the whole of Egypt.’ So they took soot from the kiln and stood in front of Pharaoh, and Moses threw it in the air, and on man and beast it brought out boils breaking into sores. And the magicians could not compete with Moses in the matter of the boils, for the magicians were covered with boils like all the other Egyptians. But Yahweh made Pharaoh stubborn and, as Yahweh had foretold to Moses, he did not listen to them.
The seventh plague: the hail
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh. Say to him, "Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, says this: Let my people go and worship me. For this time I am going to inflict all my plagues on you, on your officials and on your subjects, so that you will know that there is no one like me in the whole world. Had I stretched out my hand to strike you and your subjects with pestilence, you would have been swept from the earth. But I have let you survive for this reason: to display my power to you and to have my name talked of throughout the world. Since you take a high hand with my people, refusing to let them go, very well, at about this time tomorrow, I shall cause so severe a hail to fall as was never known in Egypt from the day of its foundation until now. So now send word to have your livestock and everything else you own in the fields put under cover. On man or beast, all that happen to be in the fields and are not brought indoors, the hail will fall and they will die." ’
Those of Pharaoh’s officials who respected what Yahweh said, brought their slaves and livestock indoors, but those who did not take to heart what Yahweh said left their slaves and livestock in the fields.
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand towards heaven so that it hails throughout the whole of Egypt, on man and beast and on everything growing anywhere in Egypt.’ Moses stretched out his staff towards heaven, and Yahweh thundered and rained down hail. Lightning struck the earth and Yahweh rained down hail on Egypt. And so there was hail, and lightning accompanied the hail, very severe, such as had never been known anywhere in Egypt since it first became a nation. All over Egypt the hail struck down everything in the fields, man and beast, and the hail beat down everything growing in the fields and shattered all the trees in the fields. The only place where there was no hail was in the Goshen region, where the Israelites lived.
Pharaoh then sent for Moses and Aaron and said, ‘This time, I have sinned. Yahweh is in the right; I and my subjects are in the wrong. Pray to Yahweh, for we cannot bear any more of this thunder and hail. I promise to let you go. You need stay no longer.’ Moses said to him, ‘The moment I leave the city I shall stretch out my hands to Yahweh. The thunder will stop, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know that the earth belongs to Yahweh. But as for you and your officials, I know very well that you still have no respect for Yahweh God.’ The flax and the barley were ruined, since the barley was in the ear and the flax in bud, but the wheat and spelt were not destroyed, being late crops.
Moses left Pharaoh and went out of the city. He stretched out his hands to Yahweh and the thunder and hail ceased and the rain stopped pouring down on the earth. When Pharaoh saw that rain and hail and thunder had stopped, he relapsed into sin, and he and his officials became obstinate again. Pharaoh was stubborn and, as Yahweh had foretold through Moses, refused to let the Israelites go.
Exodus 10
The eighth plague: the locusts
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh, for I have made him and his officials stubborn, to display these signs of mine among them; so that you can tell your sons and your grandsons how I made fools of the Egyptians and what signs I performed among them, so that you would know that I am Yahweh.’ Moses and Aaron then went to Pharaoh and said to him, ‘Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, says this, "How much longer will you refuse to submit to me? Let my people go and worship me. Or, if you refuse to let my people go, tomorrow I shall send locusts into your country. They will cover the surface of the soil so that the soil cannot be seen. They will devour the remainder of what has escaped, of what you have been left after the hail; they will devour all your trees growing in the fields; they will fill your houses, all your officials’ houses and all the Egyptians’ houses—something your ancestors and your ancestors’ ancestors have never seen from the day they first appeared on earth until now." ’ Then he turned on his heel and left Pharaoh’s presence. At which, Pharaoh’s officials said to him, ‘How much longer are we to be tricked by this fellow? Let the people go and worship Yahweh their God. Do you not finally realise that Egypt is on the brink of ruin?’
So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh who said to them, ‘Go and worship Yahweh your God. But who are to go?’ Moses replied, ‘We shall take our young men and our old men, we shall take our sons and daughters, our flocks and our herds, since we are going to hold a feast in Yahweh’s honour.’ Pharaoh said, ‘So I must let you go with your wives and children! May Yahweh preserve you! Plainly, you are up to no good! Oh no! You men may go and worship Yahweh, since that was your original request.’ With that, they were driven from Pharaoh’s presence.
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over Egypt for the locusts. Let them invade Egypt and devour whatever is growing in the country, whatever the hail has left!’ Moses stretched his staff over Egypt, and over the country Yahweh sent an east wind which blew all that day and night. By morning, the east wind had brought the locusts.
The locusts invaded the whole of Egypt and settled all over Egypt, in great swarms; never had there been so many locusts before, nor would there be again. They covered the surface of the ground till the land was devastated. They devoured whatever was growing in the fields and all the fruit on the trees that the hail had left. No green was left on tree or plant in the fields anywhere in Egypt.
Pharaoh sent urgently for Moses and Aaron and said, ‘I have sinned against Yahweh your God and against you. Now forgive my sin, I implore you, just this once, and entreat Yahweh your God to turn this deadly thing away from me.’ When Moses left Pharaoh’s presence he prayed to Yahweh, and Yahweh changed the wind into a west wind, very strong, which carried the locusts away and swept them into the Sea of Reeds. There was not one locust left in the whole of Egypt. But Yahweh made Pharaoh stubborn, and he did not let the Israelites go.
The ninth plague: the darkness
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand towards heaven, and let darkness, darkness so thick that it can be felt, cover Egypt.’ So Moses stretched out his hand towards heaven, and for three days there was thick darkness over the whole of Egypt. No one could see anyone else or move about for three days, but all the Israelites did have light where they were living.
Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, ‘Go and worship Yahweh, but your flocks and herds are to stay here. Your wives and children can go with you too.’ Moses said, ‘But now you must give us sacrifices and burnt offerings to offer to Yahweh our God. And our livestock will go with us too; not a hoof will be left behind; for we may need animals from these to worship Yahweh our God; for until we get there we ourselves cannot tell how we are to worship Yahweh.’
But Yahweh made Pharaoh stubborn, and he refused to let them go. Pharaoh said to Moses, ‘Out of my sight! Be sure you never see my face again, for the next time you see my face you die!’ Moses then said, ‘You yourself have said it. I shall never see your face again.’
Exodus 11
Announcement of the death of the first–born
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘I shall inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he will let you go away. When he lets you go, he will actually drive you out! Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver and golden jewellery.’ And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of great importance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh’s officials and the people.
Moses then said, ‘Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shall pass through Egypt, and all the first–born in Egypt will die, from the first–born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first–born of the slave–girl at the mill, and all the first–born of the livestock. And throughout Egypt there will be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again. But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shall bark, so that you may know that Yahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel. Then all these officials of yours will come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, you and all the people who follow you! After which, I shall go." ’ And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh’s presence.
Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may be displayed in Egypt.’ Moses and Aaron worked all these wonders in Pharaoh’s presence, but Yahweh made Pharaoh stubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.

The exemplary faith of our ancestors
Only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of realities that are unseen. It is for their faith that our ancestors are acknowledged.
It is by faith that we understand that the ages were created by a word from God, so that from the invisible the visible world came to be.
It was because of his faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain, and for that he was acknowledged as upright when God himself made acknowledgement of his offerings. Though he is dead, he still speaks by faith.
It was because of his faith that Enoch was taken up and did not experience death: he was no more, because God took him; because before his assumption he was acknowledged to have pleased God. Now it is impossible to please God without faith, since anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and rewards those who seek him.
It was through his faith that Noah, when he had been warned by God of something that had never been seen before, took care to build an ark to save his family. His faith was a judgement on the world, and he was able to claim the uprightness which comes from faith.
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed the call to set out for a country that was the inheritance given to him and his descendants, and that he set out without knowing where he was going. By faith he sojourned in the Promised Land as though it were not his, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. He looked forward to the well-founded city, designed and built by God.
It was equally by faith that Sarah, in spite of being past the age, was made able to conceive, because she believed that he who had made the promise was faithful to it.
Because of this, there came from one man, and one who already had the mark of death on him, descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore which cannot be counted.
All these died in faith, before receiving any of the things that had been promised, but they saw them in the far distance and welcomed them, recognising that they were only strangers and nomads on earth. People who use such terms about themselves make it quite plain that they are in search of a homeland. If they had meant the country they came from, they would have had the opportunity to return to it; but in fact they were longing for a better homeland, their heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, since he has founded the city for them.
It was by faith that Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He offered to sacrifice his only son even though he had yet to receive what had been promised, and he had been told: Isaac is the one through whom your name will be carried on. He was confident that God had the power even to raise the dead; and so, figuratively speaking, he was given back Isaac from the dead.
It was by faith that this same Isaac gave his blessing to Jacob and Esau for the still distant future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, bowed in reverence, as he leant on his staff. It was by faith that, when he was about to die, Joseph mentioned the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his own remains.
It was by faith that Moses, when he was born, was kept hidden by his parents for three months; because they saw that he was a fine child; they were not afraid of the royal edict. It was by faith that, when he was grown up, Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter and chose to be ill-treated in company with God's people rather than to enjoy the transitory pleasures of sin. He considered that the humiliations offered to the Anointed were something more precious than all the treasures of Egypt, because he had his eyes fixed on the reward. It was by faith that he left Egypt without fear of the king's anger; he held to his purpose like someone who could see the Invisible. It was by faith that he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood to prevent the Destroyer from touching any of their first-born sons. It was by faith they crossed the Red Sea as easily as dry land, while the Egyptians, trying to do the same, were drowned.
It was through faith that the walls of Jericho fell down when the people had marched round them for seven days. It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies and so was not killed with the unbelievers.
What more shall I say? There is not time for me to give an account of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, or of David, Samuel and the prophets. These were men who through faith conquered kingdoms, did what was upright and earned the promises. They could keep a lion's mouth shut, put out blazing fires and emerge unscathed from battle. They were weak people who were given strength to be brave in war and drive back foreign invaders. Some returned to their wives from the dead by resurrection; and others submitted to torture, refusing release so that they would rise again to a better life. Some had to bear being pilloried and flogged, or even chained up in prison. They were stoned, or sawn in half, or killed by the sword; they were homeless, and wore only the skins of sheep and goats; they were in want and hardship, and maltreated. They were too good for the world and they wandered in deserts and mountains and in caves and ravines. These all won acknowledgment through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised, since God had made provision for us to have something better, and they were not to reach perfection except with us.

Excerpts from The Spirituality of Fatima

Before receiving the six apparitions of Our Lady, May through October of 1917, the three Fatima visionaries were visited by an angel on three different occasions during the preceding year. He appeared to them in the spring, summer, and fall. Lucia (now Sr. Lucia) describes the springtime apparition of the angel:
On reaching us, he said: "Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me."
Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead touched the ground and made us repeat these words three times: "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You."
Then, rising he said: "Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications."
His words engraved themselves so deeply on our minds that we could never forget them (3)
During the summer of 1916, the angel again appeared to the three visionaries. He said to them:
Pray! Pray a great deal. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary have merciful designs on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices continually to the Most High. Make everything you do a sacrifice, and offer it as an act of reparation for the sins by which God is offended, and as a petition for the conversion of sinners. Bring peace to our country in this way.... I am the Guardian Angel of Portugal Accept and bear with submission all the sufferings the Lord will send you. (4)
In the fall of the same year, the angel visited the visionaries a final time:
The angel came...bearing a golden chalice in one hand and a Host above it in the other. The amazed children noticed that drops of blood were falling from the Host into the chalice. Presently, the angel left both suspended in mid-air and prostrated himself on the ground, saying this beautiful prayer: "Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly. I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and [the intercession of] the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners." (5)
Sr. Lucia relates how the angel gave them Communion:
Then, rising, he took the chalice and the Host in his hand. He gave the Sacred Host to me and shared the Blood from the chalice between Jacinta and Francisco, saying as he did so:
"Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God." (6)
Reflecting upon these messages of the angel, we see how much they contain for our spiritual instruction.

"Do not be afraid, I will do you no harm..... I am from Heaven.
"I have come to ask you to come here for six months in succession, on the 13th day, at the same hour. Later on, I will tell you who I am and what I want
"Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to send you, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners?
"Pray the Rosary every day in order to obtain peace for the world, and the end of the war." (8)
June 13, 1917
"God wishes you to remain in the world for some time because He wants to use you to establish in the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart. I promise salvation to those who embrace it, and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne." (10)
July 13, 1917
"During her appearance in July, Our Lady, in answer to Lucia's plea, promised that in October she would work a great miracle so that all might believe and know who she was. Again, the Mother of God told the children to sacrifice themselves for sinners and to say many times, especially when making a sacrifice, this prayer: "O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." "During this same July apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She told them:
"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.
"The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. (12)
"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....
"But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world." (13)
August 19, 1917
She told them she was greatly displeased by the action of the mayor. As a result, the miracle promised for October would not be as impressive as originally planned. (15)
September 13, 1917
More than 30,000 people were present in September, and saw a shower of mysterious white petals fall to within 10 feet of the ground before dissolving into the air. Many also saw the globe of light bearing the Lady come to rest atop the tree, and the branches bend as though someone were standing on them. Later, they saw the cloud depart into the east, from whence it had come.(16)
October 13, 1917
I am the Lady of the Rosary. I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and to ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too grievously offended by the sins of men. People must say the Rosary. Let them continue saying it every day.(17)
While the people in attendance were beholding the great Miracle of the Sun, the three young visionaries, and they alone, were privileged to see striking visions in the heavens:
As Our Lady had promised, St. Joseph had come with the Holy Family and had blessed the world. Then, Our Lady appeared as the Mother of Sorrows, accompanied by her Divine Son, Who also blessed the world. Finally, Lucy had seen the Blessed Virgin, dressed in the brown robes of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth, holding a brown Scapular in her hand, with her infant Son upon her knee. However, in none of these visions had any of the figures spoken to the children. (18)
Besides the messages associated with the major Fatima apparitions, there were other revelations given by Our Lady. Before Jacinta died, she told of other messages given her (during her illness) by Mary:
More souls go to Hell because of sins of the flesh than for any other reason.
Certain fashions will be introduced that will offend Our Lord very much.
Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God.
Priests must be pure, very pure. They should not busy themselves with anything except what concerns the Church and souls. The disobedience of priests, to their superiors and to the Holy Father, is very displeasing to Our Lord.
I can no longer restrain the hand of my Divine Son from striking the world with just punishments for its many crimes.
If the government of a country leaves the Church in peace and gives liberty to our Holy Religion, it will be blessed by God.
Tell everybody that God gives graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Tell them to ask grace from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ask them to plead for peace from the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Lord has confided the peace of the world to her. (19)
