Jesus: It is the rebellious spirit that
rebels against authority.
What good does it do you to disobey
and then do a lot of Church work.
The seeking of dominance for dominance
sake comes from the wounded human
nature — who does it hurt when you
seek dominance for dominance sake —
it hurts you first and foremost!!
Your life is to be lived to serve
Me your God — Everything you do is
an act to help your salvation or to
lead you away from Me —
When you do lots of work in pride,
anger and hatred — you are dealing
with sin —
You are to do God's will, in love.
Obey your God.
Serve God with love.
When the devil presses in he wants
to lead a soul to hell — he works
in rebellion against God's will
against authority —
The devil works in pride.
In religious communities there
is to be oneness of the body —
a person seeking relationships of
dependence with others against
God's will can close the most precious
door of intimacy with Me —
I have a Plan and satan wants
you to disobey — to have relationships
I do not want — once a married man
has given in to a relationship
with a single woman at the office
he opens the door to impurity in his
life — All of his actions are affected
by his tainted, lustful relationship
against God's will — he is married.
Satan can work in male - male
relationships; female - female relationships;
male (unavailable) and female (unavailable)
relationships —
Chastity in marriage is as important as
chastity for a religious. God calls us to
be faithful to our vocation — I see with
eyes unveiled more and more the preciousness
of relationship according to God's will —
Opening doors to intimacy with others
that is not God's will hurts our entire
spiritual life —
R. Living in God's will, living
according to God's will
in love is the secret of the spiritual
life. I work for Jesus — He loves me so
much — I do things for His honor and
glory — I let go of inordinate attachments.
Fr. Carter would say —
always doing God's will
not doing in too much of a thing
or too little of a thing —
When my life is lived for Jesus —
I am His servant.
I am His handmaid.
I focus on what Jesus wants —
I may have to do things I suffer a
lot.
I may do very pleasurable things —
I do it all for the honor and glory of God —
Religious orders follow a rule
of obedience to the superior and
chastity.
God has called servants and handmaids
to live a celibate life.
God has called married people to
be faithful to their spouse —
The devil works in the wounded
human nature — the devil wants us
to control for control sake and manipulate
others —
God wants us to live as a family —
united in love — living in obedience
and chastity in our vocation.

Baptism of Jesus
1. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
2. God wants obedience.
Genesis 3:1-24
Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, ‘Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?’ The woman answered the snake, ‘We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death." ’ Then the snake said to the woman, ‘No! You will not die! God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.’ The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they realised that they were naked. So they sewed fig–leaves together to make themselves loin–cloths.
The man and his wife heard the sound of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from Yahweh God among the trees of the garden. But Yahweh God called to the man. ‘Where are you?’ he asked. ‘I heard the sound of you in the garden,’ he replied. ‘I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.’ ‘Who told you that you were naked?’ he asked. ‘Have you been eating from the tree I forbade you to eat?’ The man replied, ‘It was the woman you put with me; she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.’ Then Yahweh God said to the woman, ‘Why did you do that?’ The woman replied, ‘The snake tempted me and I ate.’
Then Yahweh God said to the snake, ‘Because you have done this,
Accursed be you
of all animals wild and tame!
On your belly you will go
and on dust you will feed
as long as you live.
I shall put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
it will bruise your head
and you will strike its heel.’To the woman he said:
I shall give you intense pain
in childbearing,
you will give birth to your children
in pain.
Your yearning will be for your husband,
and he will dominate you.To the man he said, ‘Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat,
Accursed be the soil because of you!
Painfully will you get your food from it
as long as you live.
It will yield you brambles and thistles,
as you eat the produce of the land.
By the sweat of your face
will you earn your food,
until you return to the ground,
as you were taken from it.
For dust you are
and to dust you shall return.’The man named his wife ‘Eve’ because she was the mother of all those who live. Yahweh God made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and clothed them. Then Yahweh God said, ‘Now that the man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick from the tree of life too, and eat and live for ever!’ So Yahweh God expelled him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he had been taken. He banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden he posted the great winged creatures and the fiery flashing sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.
3. Many today are doing their own will
against God.
4. Matthew 3: 13-15
Then Jesus appeared: he came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John. John tried to dissuade him, with the words, ‘It is I who need baptism from you, and yet you come to me!’ But Jesus replied, ‘Leave it like this for the time being; it is fitting that we should, in this way, do all that uprightness demands.’ Then John gave in to him.
5. Matthew 3: 16-17
And when Jesus had been baptised he at once came up from the water, and suddenly the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him. And suddenly there was a voice from heaven, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on him.’
6. Jesus is all holy.
7. Jesus is our model.
8. God the Father created us in the image
and likeness of God.9. God uses water to show us cleansing.
10. Man has a wounded human nature —
he has a tendency toward lust, envy,
pride, jealousy, slothfulness, greed,
wrath, gluttony.
Marriage at Cana
1. John 2: 1
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee.
2. John 2: 2
The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited.
3. John 2:3
And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’
4. John 2: 5
His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’
5. Mary is all pure.
6. Mary is sinless.
7. God is a God of miracles.
8. We must pray to be holy, not rebellious.
9. We cannot open doors to anger, pride,
dominance for dominance sake —
seeking inordinate attachments.10. Mary - Mother of God has powerful
intercession.
Kingdom of God
1. Genesis 1: 27
God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.2.
Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima
(19)...Tell everybody that God gives graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Tell them to ask grace from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ask them to plead for peace from the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Lord has confided the peace of the world to her.

Transfiguration
1. Mark 9: 2-8
Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, ‘Rabbi,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.
2. We can be changed to be more holy,
but we cannot keep arguing for
the sake of arguing —3. Obedience to authority is paramount —
4. Willfulness brings big spiritual
problems — look at Eve in the
garden.5. Some people are always unsettled
inside, it is normal for them
to be angry — it is a very
bad habit.6. God is light — thoughts of division —
blaming others — can come from
survival tactics they learned
when young or somewhere else.7. God is light.
God is love —
Being mad, selfish, self-focused —
is not like Jesus —Jesus consumed with love went to
the cross.8. God is light
in Him there is no darkness.
1 John 1: 8-10
If we say, ‘We have no sin,’
we are deceiving ourselves,
and truth has no place in us;
if we acknowledge our sins,
he is trustworthy and upright,
so that he will forgive our sins
and will cleanse us from all evil.
If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’
we make him a liar,
and his word has no place in us.9. Joy is found in Jesus —
NOT SELF-FOCUS
not disobedience.
A person can keep pushing ahead
toward rebellion —
rebellion in little things
satan is aggressive —
satan moves fast when you open
your door.10. Satan's grip is paralyzing and crippling.
There is a whole hell full of souls
that gave into satan's lies.
