OIN IN THEIR HEARTS AND TO EACH OTHERI see the intimacy between Jesus and Mary and how He wants intimacy between each one of us. The joining of Their Hearts is the model for our hearts, joining to Him and to Mary and to each other.
I understand my relationship with God and with my brothers by further understanding the relationship between Jesus and Mary (the rosary helps us). I give my heart to Jesus and Mary, you give your heart to Jesus and Mary, and we are one in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
Christ says:
But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much? (Mt. 5:44-46)
Hatred of God is the worst - hatred against neighbor follows.

St. Margaret Mary
R.
On October 20, 1994, I had this vision - I account it here from my notebook. That night we had the First Enthronement of the Sacred Heart at my house.Vision - St. Peter in Chains - Before Mass
I told St. Margaret Mary how much I loved her. I had a vision of a nun to the left of the altar. She was wearing a dark habit with a white collar and in her hands was a white book. Then I thought, "Who is this, St. Therese?" I was trying to see her more clearly. I realized tonight the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart Book had a white cover. I think the nun was St. Margaret Mary. Just as I saw the vision my little son kissed me and told me he loved me. This was after the gospel while the priest was talking. I didn't look at my son because I was seeing a vision.

Jesus: You, My child, are doing as you ought. You think you have to do it all. Let it happen. I do it for you. It is My grace in your heart that makes your relationship with Me grow. You don't have to do it. I tell you what to do. I talk to you. I tell you about Me. You crave to know more about Me because you love Me. I will feed you. You don't have to do the feeding. I will reveal such things you could never find in a million years, a million books. I can tell you in an instant. You are not in charge. I am telling you all you need to know. Don't get bowed down, trust in Me totally.
R. My dear Jesus, please write to me if You so desire. I am an empty vessel waiting to be filled by You and the Holy Spirit. I am Your child. You are my Father. Dear Father, please instruct me in Your will. I wait as a child for my direction. I wait on You, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Come and do with me at this moment as You will. I am Yours, totally Yours. Use me as You wish. I give my life to You.
Jesus: You are the child of My Father. The Holy Spirit guides you in all your letters. God fills you. Write, child, as you are told. We are one in God. We are here to help you. Put yourself in My presence and be saved by Me, your beautiful Savior. I am the God of this universe. You are My precious child. I come to you that you might have life. Live in Me and be present to the Father. I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. I wait for you and I want you here with Me. Don't ever wonder about this letter. Just write as I dictate. I will be here for you until the end of the earth. I am Jesus of Nazareth. I am He Who was born of Mary that you might have life eternal.
I came to be here for you, you alone. I came for each of you individually. I am a personal God. You must see Me as present to you alone, as being your beautiful lover, Savior, and being there just for you. My heart aches at the indifference of My children. I love My children as you do and I am offended by them, by their lack of interest in God. They have no place for Me in their lives. I hurt so badly because I am a good God and I have so much to give them. I have all they need, but they ignore Me and act as if I don't even exist. This wounds My Sacred Heart. I cry by day and by night, just as you feel such pain when your children have forgotten you. They look at Me as a person who is not there for them when I am ever there. You know what I mean if you have experienced pain with your own loved ones. These are My loved ones, beloved children of My Father, and they are totally indifferent to God. What agony to be waiting for someone and they never come when you have done so much for them. I ache at their indifference and preoccupation. Come little babies, come home to where your heart longs to be. Come to Me. Let Me fill you and lick your wounds. Let Me minister to you. This world is hard and full of hate in people's hearts. I am gentle and kind and ready to love at any second. The world does not feed the soul. I cannot make My willful children come to Me. I give them a free will. I honor their freedom. Love does not demand its way. It yields to the other. I give to you. You choose Me or reject Me, My little babies. If you reject Me, you are rejecting the life for your soul. I am indeed saddened by all this. I am so sorrowful for their actions.
I am the author of love and I have all you need to know. Come to Me and I will teach you the greatest lesson-how to love! Do you want to be happy in your hearts? Then you must love God and love each other. I can teach you all you need to know, but you must come to be taught. Love is the key to Me, to each other, to eternal life. Love is the key to life. You have the potential to love as I instruct you. Will you use this key to unlock the hardened hearts or will you continue in your blind ways. Nothing will give you peace in your heart like love. Love frees you from others' hatred. Love gives you all you need. I am He Who teaches love. All love comes from Me first. Any love that is being transmitted on this earth had its origin in Me. Why go to others to find love? Come to the source. I am the source. You get love directly. It is true, it is powerful, it is from the author of love and it is yours for the asking. Come to Me and I will fill you with My love that you might love each other as I do. I love you. Will you come?

Exodus 17: 8-13
The Amalekites then came and attacked Israel at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, ‘Pick some men and tomorrow morning go out and engage Amalek. I, for my part, shall take my stand on the hilltop with the staff of God in my hand.’ Joshua did as Moses had told him and went out to engage Amalek, while Moses, Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill. As long as Moses kept his arms raised, Israel had the advantage; when he let his arms fall, the advantage went to Amalek. But Moses’ arms grew heavy, so they took a stone and put it under him and on this he sat, with Aaron and Hur supporting his arms on each side. Thus his arms remained unwavering till sunset, and Joshua defeated Amalek, putting their people to the sword.
2 Timothy 3: 14 - 4:2
You must keep to what you have been taught and know to be true; remember who your teachers were, and how, ever since you were a child, you have known the holy scriptures—from these you can learn the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and useful for refuting error, for guiding people’s lives and teaching them to be upright. This is how someone who is dedicated to God becomes fully equipped and ready for any good work.
Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in the name of his appearing and of his kingdom: proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, give encouragement—but do all with patience and with care to instruct.
Luke 18: 1-8
Then he told them a parable about the need to pray continually and never lose heart. ‘There was a judge in a certain town,’ he said, ‘who had neither fear of God nor respect for anyone. In the same town there was also a widow who kept on coming to him and saying, "I want justice from you against my enemy!" For a long time he refused, but at last he said to himself, "Even though I have neither fear of God nor respect for any human person, I must give this widow her just rights since she keeps pestering me, or she will come and slap me in the face." ’
And the Lord said, ‘You notice what the unjust judge has to say? Now, will not God see justice done to his elect if they keep calling to him day and night even though he still delays to help them? I promise you, he will see justice done to them, and done speedily. But when the Son of man comes, will he find any faith on earth?’

INTRODUCTION
– (Exodus 17:8-13; 2 Timothy3:14 - 4:2; Luke 18:1-8) As Moses led God’s people from slavery in Egypt, through the desert, to the Promised Land, they encountered numerous threats to their lives: the army of Pharaoh, the Reed Sea they had to cross, the lack of water and food in the desert. One such threat was opposition from those peoples whose lands they had to pass through to get where they were going. Today’s reading speaks of an attack by Amalek, a desert tribe living south of the Dead Sea. Moses positioned himself on a nearby hill to pray for success in battle. He prayed with his arms held high in petition. As long as he prayed, his prayer was powerful and effective. This story is an encouragement to us to persevere in our prayer, which is also the lesson in today’s gospel.HOMILY
– (1) Two women were out to lunch and began to discuss their marriage. One of the two ladies said, “we just celebrated our 50th anniversary.” “That’s a long time,” the other said. The 50 year anniversary lady agreed, “a long, long time.” Then she smiled. “You know what just occurred to me the other day?” she asked. “If I had killed him the first time I felt like it, I would be out of jail by now.” (2) A wife and her husband were comparing which of them were the more intelligent. She said to him “I have a higher IQ, did better on my SATs and make more money than you,” she pointed out. “Yeah, but when you step back and look at the big picture, I’m still ahead of you,” he said. Surprised she asked, “How do you figure?” “I married better,” he said with a smile. (Even if he wasn’t as smart as she was, he was smart enough to know what to say!) (from Laughter, the Best Medicine, Reader’s Digest, pg 163 & 175)[at 4:00 Mass: I’ve been friends with the Woliver family for 35 years. I witnessed John’s first marriage and buried his wife when she died and I had his second marriage to Theresa a year ago. I’m glad to be able to celebrate this occasion with them.
At 10:00 Mass: I’ve been friends with Ralph and Jeanne for almost 40 years, and in the 40 years I’ve known them, I’ve known them to be very loving and dedicated spouses and parents. Their deep faith in each other and in God has always been an inspiration to me. I’m glad to be able to celebrate this occasion with them.]
As I read today’s gospel about the widow, an idea related to our own day and age came to me. Widows in ancient times had very little social standing. They were, for the most part, dependent on their father or their eldest son for survival. Without a man to defend them, they easily became the victim of any kind of oppression. At least the woman in today’s gospel had a voice with which she could defend herself. I am reminded of the 52 million unborn children killed in our country over the past 37 years since Roe v. Wade. They were entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Their DNA was the same as ours, but they only had our voice.
Now to the main point that our Lord teaches us about prayer. Our parable today is easy enough for anyone to understand. Often, though, we fail to understand why we must keep praying. We can easily understand how one person might eventually persuade another to give in to a request by their persistence; but why is it we need to keep asking God for something? Some people really believe God is too busy and so we need to get his attention, but he tells us God knows even how many hairs are on the top of our head, so we hardly need to get his attention. Some people think we need to inform him of what it is we need or want, but Jesus tells us God knows what we need even before we ask him. Some think they can wear God down like a child who continues to beg his mother for a candy bar he just has to have until she eventually gives in; some think perhaps God forgets, he is old you know; while some think they can get him to change his mind, as if he first thought something was a bad idea, but because he’s tired of hearing from us he decides to give in to us. None of these ideas explain why we need to keep “bothering” him. Perhaps it is the opposite that is true, that he wants to hear from us more often. Perhaps it’s we who are changed by prayer and not God. Perhaps we are the ones who forget he is our Father and by constantly going to him with our needs we grow in our faith in his love and wisdom. That may have something to do with Jesus’ question at the end of the gospel: “when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” There are all kinds of possible reasons why Jesus tells us not to give up when we pray, but for whatever reason we might conceive or might not we able to conceive, the bottom line is he tells us to not stop asking. All that’s just been said is about only one form of prayer: the prayer of petition or supplication. Certainly we can’t give up praying other forms of prayer too: prayers of adoration, love, thanksgiving and even contrition.
I would like to take a moment to speak of these otherforms of prayer and not just the “asking for things” type of prayer. If we want to grow in our relationship with God, if we want to grow in knowing God, loving God, experiencing the peace and joy that only God can give, then we can’t stop praying. In everyone’s spiritual journey, there are desert periods, periods when we wonder if God is listening, periods when prayer gives us no consolation. All the saints have gone through periods like this and all of them say we have to keep on praying. To continue to pray during those dry times is to continue to grow deeper in faith, even in ways we are not aware of. Consistency in prayer, praying when we feel like it and when we don’t is most important for our spiritual growth. This is one reason, among many, why we are supposed to come to Mass every Sunday, so we keep growing closer to God. That’s what the Lord wants, and that’s the mission of the Church to keep us growing in this way.

Guiding Light
- Reflect on the Word
Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle
B — The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and
reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal
concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a
sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this
day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We
believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as
priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and
Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our
congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand.

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 | ||
|
Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
