October 23, 2011 John
9: 1-40 As he went along, he saw a man who had
been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned,
this man or his parents, that he should have been born blind?’
‘Neither he nor his parents sinned,’ Jesus answered, ‘he was born
blind so that the works of God might be revealed in him. 'As long as day lasts Having said this, he spat on the
ground, made a paste with the spittle, put this over the eyes of the
blind man, and said to him, ‘Go and wash in the Pool of Siloam’ (the
name means ‘one who has been sent’). So he went off and washed and
came back able to see. His neighbours and the people who
used to see him before (for he was a beggar) said, ‘Isn’t this the
man who used to sit and beg?’ Some said, ‘Yes, it is the same one.'
Others said, 'No, but he looks just like him.’ The man himself said,
‘Yes, I am the one.’ So they said to him, ‘Then how is it that your
eyes were opened?' He answered, ‘The man called Jesus made a paste,
daubed my eyes with it and said to me, "Go off and wash at Siloam";
so I went, and when I washed I gained my sight.’ They asked, ‘Where
is he?’ He answered, ‘I don’t know.’ They brought to the Pharisees the
man who had been blind. It had been a Sabbath day when Jesus made
the paste and opened the man’s eyes, so when the Pharisees asked him
how he had gained his sight, he said, ‘He put a paste on my eyes,
and I washed, and I can see. Then some of the Pharisees said, ‘That
man cannot be from God: he does not keep the Sabbath.’ Others said,
‘How can a sinner produce signs like this? And there was division
among them. So they spoke to the blind man again, 'What have you to
say about him yourself, now that he has opened your eyes?’ The man
answered, ‘He is a prophet.’ However, the Jews would not believe
that the man had been blind without first sending for the parents of
the man who had gained his sight and asking them, ‘Is this man
really the son of yours who you say was born blind? If so, how is it
that he is now able to see?’ His parents answered, ‘We know he is
our son and we know he was born blind, but how he can see, we don’t
know, nor who opened his eyes. Ask him. He is old enough: let him speak
for himself.’ His parents spoke like this out of fear of the Jews,
who had already agreed to ban from the synagogue anyone who should
acknowledge Jesus as the Christ. This was why his parents said, ‘He
is old enough; ask him.' So the Jews sent for the man again and
said to him, ‘Give glory to God! We are satisfied that this man is a
sinner.’ The man answered, ‘Whether he is a sinner I don’t know; all
I know is that I was blind and now I can see.’ They said to him,
‘What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?’ He replied, ‘I
have told you once and you wouldn’t listen. Why do you want to hear
it all again? Do you want to become his disciples yourselves?’ At
this they hurled abuse at him, ‘It is you who are his disciple, we
are disciples of Moses; we know that God spoke to Moses, but as for
this man, we don’t know where he comes from.’ The man replied, ‘That
is just what is so amazing! You don’t know where he comes from and
he has opened my eyes! We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners,
but God dos listen to people who are devout and do his will. Ever
since the world began it is unheard of for anyone to open the eyes
of someone born blind; if this man were not from God, he wouldn’t
have been able to do anything.’ They retorted, ‘Are you trying to
teach us, and you a sinner through and through ever since you were
born!' And they ejected him. Jesus heard they had ejected him,
and when he found him he said to him, ‘Do you believe in the Son of
man?’ ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘tell me who he is so that I may
believe in him.’ Jesus said, ‘You have seen him; he is speaking to
you.’ The man said, ‘Lord, I believe,’ and worshipped him. It is for judgement Hearing this, some Pharisees who
were present said to him, ‘So we are blind, are we?’ Jesus replied: If you were blind,
we must carry out the work of the one
who sent me;
the night will soon be here
when no one can work.
As long as I am in the world
I am the light of the world.’
Jesus said:
that I have come into this world,
so that those without sight may see
and those with sight may become blind.
you would not be guilty,
but since you say, ‘We can see,’
your guilt remains.
R. God is the ultimate mystery —
hidden
from man in his inner life, unless he
chooses to reveal himself
We do not see the air — if it is
hot or cold and yet it can cause
us such suffering to be trapped
in air extremely hot or air extremely
cold. Do I see the air — No
Do I see if it is hot or cold?
No —
Do I see contaminants in the
air?
We need the air to breathe.
And yet we really do not see it.
We see in the scripture the blind
man and Jesus mixed spittle and
clay and put it on the man's
eyes and he could see. But
the man had to let Jesus do this —
The man had to have faith — his
blindness would be healed —
He did not see and yet he
believed.
Jesus is with us —
The very hairs of our head are
numbered —
We can enjoy the fresh air outside —
the beauty of a clear day,
the stillness of the night —
Do we hear silence, but when a T.V.
blares or a baby cries — we
can hardly stand it at times.
Christ lives in our graced baptized
soul —
We can put on Christ more and more
living the mystery of life
and death more in our
lives.
The incarnation goes on in us.
We are, hopefully, becoming
more and more in that image
of Christ.
We, hopefully, are being filled
more and more with His life
in us.
We go more and more, hopefully, as
a Christian, out of that self -
centered existence —
dying to that which is not
really life at all and increasingly
passing over into a greater
existence, into the life of
Christ Himself.
In this manner the Christian
continues that transition
process of passing from a
lower to a higher mode
of existence.
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
R. Fr. Carter says in Response in Christ
"We have seen this transition process
to be at the heart of salvation
history.
We saw it in the exodus - event
of the Jewish people. We
saw it in the death - resurrection
of Christ.
We continue to find it in the
life of the Christian as he
prolongs the paschal mystery
of Christ.
Yes, we live a new life in Christ.
Christ, therefore, wants to share
everything relating to our existence —
sin alone excepted. When He
united us to Himself in assuming
human nature, He united to Himself
all our authentic concerns,
values and interests. He is truly
man, and He wants to share with
us all our truly human experiences.
He and His grace want to touch
these experiences. Nothing which
is really human is alien to
our life in Christ."
We must be open to learn. Fr. Joe
says being a disciple of Christ
means we keep on learning —
We are never done here learning,
if we quit learning then we
are not His disciple —
God is the ultimate mystery —
We can give into our wounded
human nature and refuse to
be open to learning what we
need to grow in our Christ-life —
We can give into sin, develop
vices and become enslaved to
satan as we continually give into him.
The Pharaoh at the time of
Moses decreed death for
all Hebrew baby boys and
yet Moses, put in a basket
in the Nile River, survived
and was raised in the Pharaoh's
own royal household — Think
of that —
Moses became a desert
shepherd for 40 years and God
called him in the burning bush
to free His people enslaved
in Egypt.
Deuteronomy 18: 15-18
Yahweh your God will raise up a prophet like me; you will listen to him. This is exactly what you asked Yahweh your God to do—at Horeb, on the day of the Assembly, when you said, "Never let me hear the voice of Yahweh my God or see this great fire again, or I shall die." Then Yahweh said to me, "What they have said is well said. From their own brothers I shall raise up a prophet like yourself; I shall put my words into his mouth and he will tell them everything I command him. Anyone who refuses to listen to my words, spoken by him in my name, will have to render an account to me.
Hebrews 3: 1-6
That is why all you who are holy brothers and share the same heavenly call should turn your minds to Jesus, the apostle and the high priest of our profession of faith. He was trustworthy to the one who appointed him, just like Moses, who remained trustworthy in all his household; but he deserves a greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house is more honoured than the house itself. Every house is built by someone, of course; but God built everything that exists. It is true that Moses was trustworthy in the household of God, as a servant is, acting as witness to the things which were yet to be revealed, but Christ is trustworthy as a son is, over his household. And we are his household, as long as we fearlessly maintain the hope in which we glory.
1 Corinthians 15: 20-28
In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

Dear Father,
I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.
Fr. Carter said: the individual Christian, the Church and the world is in the state of becoming. We spend our lives praying for you our beloved priests.
Consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
We give ourselves in Consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and we pray to God to help us grow in our graced life until we are with Him wrapped in His embrace for all eternity.
Please help us spread these prayer chapters praying for the priests, the Church and the world and giving great devotion to the Pure and Holy Hearts of Love of Jesus and Mary.
The Father’s Plan – Love
I heard a song once, it said “What the world needs now is love.” The Plan of the Father is that we love God with our whole heart, our whole soul and our whole being and that we love our neighbor as ourselves.
God is love. God first loved us. It is our response to God’s love.
Man is made in the image and likeness of God, so we are to love!
Happiness is found in God.
Spread the Good News, Jesus has died, He has risen and this is our call in this life – to love – to pray for the priests, the Church and the world.
Homilies from Fr. Joe, My Brother
I, with all of us at Shepherds of Christ, pray that you, God’s holy chosen one, will be blessed. This book of homilies from Fr. Joe Robinson, my brother, is a cherished gift he has allowed us to send to you.
We were created uniquely by God the Father and we are to help the world and the Church, during our lives, to be what God wants it to be. When we love, we love uniquely and the world and the Church is wanting if we are unloving.
The more we look at what Jesus has done in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, through our giving of ourselves, we can be so thankful for God using us, especially in these troubled times in this world.
To date we have circulated 15,000,000 Priestly Newsletters, loose and in books in 17 years to priests and hierarchy. We want to form these prayer chapters, acting as a network of prayer all over the world, praying for the priests, the Church and the world as Jesus asked Fr. Carter to do. This can be one of our great contributions as Jesus has used us to do this work. Also when we are gone we leave this legacy to our children and grandchildren – to the Church and the world, the children of the Father’s family.
We by praying these prayers and spreading devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary are doing what Our Lady asked for in spreading devotion to Their Two Hearts.
So far we have sent this book to the pope, the Cardinals and the Bishops in the United States. We now send it to you and we will send it to the priests in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Illinois, and New York as soon as we get the list. The list is $1200 (for 6 states) and then the postage on the books to all these priests. We then send the book and the prayers to as many states as we can.
Our great plan to do God’s will – to love as only we can do and to uniquely make that contribution to the Church and the world with our talents by working as one in a great work as Jesus instructed us in helping to bring the Reign of the Sacred Heart and Triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart.
Think of how the children today will need priests. They are dwindling. Let’s do what Jesus told Fr. Carter to do.
In baptism we receive a sharing in His life. Our life is to be lived in the state of becoming so that we are filled more and more abundantly with His life. In heaven we are to have the fullness of that life and be in the beatific vision.
We as members of the mystical body of Christ can grow more and more in our intimacy with God while praying these prayers for the priests, the Church and the world. All day we can unite in our Morning Offering, to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
We are to be lovers – God is love. We were created in His image and likeness. Our prayers are powerful – and more powerful the more we are filled with His life – doing the simple job He is asking of us – making a contribution with our lives.
The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present – the fountain of His grace being poured out on our hungry, hungry soul. We adore God, we thank God, we petition God for grace for the Church and the world and we want to help make reparation for our sins and the sins of the world.
God is love. God first loved us. Out of His Divine generosity He created us for a unique purpose, to help contribute in unity with our brothers and sisters to the building of the Kingdom.
The Scripture is so important. The Word and the Eucharist is the Bread of Life. My brother’s homilies are a gift given to all. Read one every Sunday.

Jesus speaks: Be happy, I have given you gifts
October 23, 2009
1st Sunday of Advent Jeremiah 33: 14-16 “Look, the days are
coming, Yahweh declares, when I shall fulfil the promise of
happiness I made to the House of Israel and the House of
Judah: In those days and
at that time, 1 Thessalonians 3:12 - 4:2 May the
Lord increase and enrich
your love for each other and for all, so that it matches
ours for you. And may he so confirm your hearts in
holiness that you may be
blameless in the sight of our
God and Father when our
Lord
Jesus comes with all his
holy ones. Finally, brothers, we urge
you and appeal to you in the
Lord Jesus; we instructed
you how to live in the way that pleases God, and you are so
living; but make more progress still. You are well aware of
the instructions we gave you on the authority of the
Lord Jesus. Luke 21: 25-28, 34-36 ‘There
will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; on earth
nations in agony, bewildered by the turmoil of the ocean and
its waves; men fainting away with terror and fear at what
menaces the world, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud
with power and great glory. When these things begin to
take place, stand erect, hold your heads high, because your
liberation is near at hand.’ ‘Watch
yourselves, or your hearts will be coarsened by debauchery
and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day will
come upon you unexpectedly, like a trap. For it will come
down on all those living on the face of the earth. Stay
awake, praying at all times for the strength to survive all
that is going to happen, and to hold your ground before the
Son of man.’

INTRODUCTION
The prophet, Jeremiah, lived during one of the most devastating
times in the history of Israel. He witnessed the destruction of
Jerusalem and the Temple by the Babylonians. He saw many of his
fellow citizens enslaved and taken into exile. Yet his words
reflect hope and not despair. His hope is based not on human
capabilities but on God's faithfulness to God’s promises.
Jeremiah recalls God’s promise to his people made over 400 years
earlier, during the time of King David, that God would bring to
the throne a successor to the King who would bring peace and
security to Jerusalem. We still wait for peace and security not
only in Jerusalem but all over the world, but the promised one,
a descendant of the House of David has begun his reign. The
gospel tells us one day he will come in great glory to establish
the kingdom of God forever.
Although our society has begun its preparations for the birth of
Christ, even as they are hesitant to mention his birth, the
Church begins its preparations today. Our liturgy, however,
wants us to know that we are not only preparing for a special
celebration three weeks from now, but our readings put before us
the bigger picture. It’s not just the celebration of Jesus’
birth that we are to prepare for but also we must prepare for
the day when he comes again to bring us into his kingdom.
Advent tells us Christ is coming, but it also asks us, are we
ready to meet him? If we’re not, his coming 2000 years ago will
have little or no value for us.
For some people his second coming will be a frightening time.
“People will die in fright in anticipation of what is coming
upon the world...” But if we are prepared, not just for
Christmas, but for Christ, the Lord tells us “stand erect and
raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.” His
coming will be for those who have followed him faithfully a day
of victory and joy.
Doesn’t it sound as if our Lord is speaking to us today when he
tells us: “Be on guard lest your spirits become bloated with
indulgence and drunkenness and worldly cares.” We have to
struggle against this happening to all of us during this time of
the year. I’m going to add a thought of my own to this list of
things Jesus tells us to guard against. Make sure to get enough
rest. When we are tired it’s hard to stay organized, focused,
to keep our priorities straight and to pray. And if we don’t
pray and keep our priorities straight, Christmas will leave us
feeling empty and relieved that it’s all over.
The gospel’s suggestion for us today as we begin Advent is: “Be
vigilant at all times and pray…” Is there a better formula we
can apply to this season to prepare for the celebration of
Christ’s birth or the coming of Christ at the end of our lives
or at the end of time. I’m not going around like Scrooge saying
“Bah, humbug!” to Christmas. I like decorations and lights and
parties and Christmas cards and gifts, but to prepare ourselves
for what this season of the year is all about, nothing will do
the job better than prayer and good works.
You might pray the rosary or meditate on the Scripture readings
for each day. They are printed every week in the bulletin and
you will find them also in the Catholic Update inserted in
today’s bulletin. We have Mass here every morning at 7:30 and
Holy Hour twice a week. We have a bible study, a Legion of
Mary, a St. Vincent de Paul, the CAIN ministry and, of course,
Bingo. There’s no end of other good works anyone can find to do
if they are interested. This year we have the shortest Advent
possible (only three weeks), so I hope we all make the most of
it.
And now is the time to do it. No doubt you’ve heard this poem
before, but it won’t hurt to repeat it. It is entitled Today:
I shall do much in the years
to come, but what have I done today?
I shall give out gold in
princely sum, but what did I give today?
I shall lift the heart and dry
the tear,
I shall plant a hope in the
place of fear,
I shall speak with words of
love and cheer, but what have I done today?
I shall be so kind in the
after while, but what have I been today?
I shall bring to each lonely
life a smile, but what have I brought today?
I shall give to truth a
grander birth,
And to steadfast faith a
deeper worth,
I shall feed the hungering
souls of earth, but whom have I fed today?

I shall make an upright Branch
grow for David,
who will do what is just and upright
in the country.
In those days Judah will triumph
and Israel live in safety.
And this is the name the city will be called:
Yahweh–is–our–Saving–Justice.”
HOMILY
The Holy Spirit is the love of the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the gift
- God’s gift to us. He is the dispenser of every grace. The Holy Spirit is a Paraclete and advocate. He is our Helper, Counselor, Consoler, Comforter, Guide, and Friend.
“…the Fathers of the Church liken the Holy Ghost to an artist who works to bring out the full beauty of God’s image on the canvas of the individual soul by the brush
-strokes of grace.” 42Christ is the Head of the Mystical Body. We are given the Holy Spirit at Baptism and increasingly so at Confirmation. He is present in a special way in a soul in sanctifying grace. The Apostles saw all the miracles performed by Christ, but they wanted the first seats. They were changed when the Holy Spirit descended on them in the upper room.
Peter told Jesus he would be with Him, yet he denied Him three times. Jesus is love. Someone didn’t obey Jesus, and James and John thought He should bring fire on them. Jesus said He came not to destroy, but to save. Peter, James, and John saw the transfiguration yet they slept in the garden. When they came to apprehend Jesus, the Apostles ran away in fear. After the Resurrection, the Apostles were afraid. They shut themselves off in fear. The Holy Spirit descended upon them, and they were changed from fear to fearlessness. They were new men. Thousands were converted and baptized. The Holy Spirit worked in the Apostles. We must open ourselves to the Spirit and allow Him to work in us. We must let go and let God do the work through us. Spirit, come and work in us.

This Will Be the Best Day of Your Life
Jesus:
This will be the best day of your life. You will fall deeply in love with My Heart. I am He Who loves you dearly. You are accompanied by the angels and saints. All know you and love you. Come into the heavenly court and live in the love sent to you from heaven.Come into My Most precious Heart and dwell forever in the abyss of My dear love for you.
(Looking at the Pieta): You turn to Me and you see Me held by My beloved Mother. I gave My life, My blood was spent, I hung in her arms, lifeless and without breath in My body. Where do you turn, My sweet and precious child? You turn to the Heart of your beloved Savior! My Heart beats endlessly with such love. I am always there, waiting with open arms to love you. Let go into My arms!
Meditate on My passion. Let go of your focus on yourselves. See Me as I stood by in all My trials. I fell under the cross, they poked Me, they pushed Me, but I remained in perfect peace with the weight of My cross laying on My back as I was on the ground. They poke you, Rita, they press from all sides, you remain at peace in My Heart! Go there and find refuge. It is in My Heart you know My love. It is in My Heart you know the love of the Father. I love you. The Father loves you. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one. As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you! Take refuge in My Heart, the abyss of God's love. I come to you with greatest love, I am your loving Savior. Reach out to Me and do not fear, I want to be so close to you. Let go, Rita, let go and surrender. Your heart is hard and anxious. Only a heart of pure love can join to My Heart. It takes surrender.
If you are angry at any man, if you hold on to man to give you My abundant love, you are holding on — release yourself, surrender to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Put yourself in the abyss of My love, My love is God's love. To know My love is to know the Father's love. To know My love is to know the Spirit's love. I am. God is. From My Heart flows grace and mercy. From the Father, in the Holy Spirit, through My Heart, from Mary's Heart to you.

See the Radiance in My Face
Jesus: My dear child, I come to you as the brightest light, as a light that shines in the deepest darkness. I come with fire in My eyes and My heart. It is on fire for love of you. If you knew, you would see the radiance in My face at every moment. You must keep coming and just sitting. Long times alone with Me. No distraction. Do you see the fire in My eyes. My eyes sparkle. My heart is on fire. Keep this picture in your mind. My face glows. It is like nothing you have ever seen. Energy is emitted by My presence and when you recall the image I am now planting in your mind. My face glows and energy is radiating from Me. This, child, is power. When you recall this picture you have an instant energizer. I am the God of all the nations. I am He Who built all the worlds and all the people therein. My power is this radiance. It is endless. It is only I. Nothing else on the face of this earth has this power. See Me glowing in your mind. The glowing from My eyes. See Me on fire with love of you. Feel the fullness in your breast. Feel Me in your chest.
R. The more I kiss the ground, the more I am stricken at Your majesty, the more alive You become because this is Your reality. I need to focus on You with the power and light and greatness You are, to be awestruck with the very thought of You. Pictures of You do not transmit You as You are. You are power and awe and majesty. If that was truly Your picture, I couldn't hold the picture because of the power it generated.
Jesus: Be as one crying in the desert. Make ready in your hearts a place for Him. Be holy and selfless, be true to all your inner promptings tell you. Listen with an open heart and let Me lead you on a path that leads to Me. My will for you I make known when you are open and ready to listen. But you must be quiet. You must be still. You must sit and wait. I do not do things in your time. My time is My own time. It may be when you least want a charge, but this is part of My plan. I want you obedient to Me in all things. Are you willing to put yourself aside and come and wait with Me? Are you willing to put aside your will for Mine? If you listen, you will know all that you need. I am your God. I make My way clear for you. Come and sit and be with Me. Be as an open door. What comes through the door you will not know, but you never close the door. You accept all the blessings and the sufferings as little children who have to accept what their parents give them. Open your heart. I will fill you with such delights, but you must be ready for all that I give. You can't take some and not the others. I want complete surrender. My way is the only way to My heart. My heart is full of power and love. Say "yes" to all I give you. Open your heart and say, "Lord, Thy will be done."
R. Doing things in God's time is like having a baby. It works out best when we wait for the time that He has planned for us. Man wants to control it. Man wants to get anxious. Man wants to do it his way. But it works out when we wait on Him and it works out for the best.
Jesus: Wait on Me, My child and I will grant your heart's request-not a request from the world but a request that is best for you in My time. My will is doing things in My time, in My way. You must wait and surrender and accept all I give you, good and bad, and know it will work out for the good of your soul in the end. I am He Who loves you, little one. I will only give you out of love. Trust in Me and have faith. That is the key to your happiness: trust and faith in Me, doing it My way, not yours, being open to all I give you. You must become selfless, child. I am your God and I know all things. I know you as you do not know yourself. Trust Me and let Me work in you and you will live your life as I want you to. I love you, little one.

Guiding Light
- Reflect on the Word
Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle
B — The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and
reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal
concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a
sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this
day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We
believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as
priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and
Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our
congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand.

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 | ||
|
Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
|
Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts. - Cycle A (partial) — Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10 |
