Messenger:
He gave and He gave His all.
Amidst all the accusations,
hatred, Jesus the Son of God
gave Himself.
We wish to be thanked and are
met with rejection, insensitivity
—
and yet the goal is one so real
that God calls me to.
I see Our Lady as she appeared
over 1000 times and the cry to reach
the souls.
I know the taste of heaven, the
Love of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. When
life seems to give lemons
— I
know in the death is the
resurrection.
If I open my heart and give myself
to you, I know that you may
be critical and insensitive and it
gives me a chance to identify
with Him as He stood before
His attackers and was condemned
to death.
I suffer for the sin in the world
I give my life to help begin these
wonderful prayer chapters as God
asked Fr. Carter
— to spread the
Newsletter.
It is for the souls, Jesus, the
Son of God came for and shed His
Blood.
The past messages are important,
God calls us to give and not count
the cost, but the world is so
self-focused
— even children are not
taught to respect authority as they
should.
Every day we can go further from
what God wants us to be
— loving,
one, aware of each other —
We must stop and ask ourselves, what
happened to our sisters and brothers.
How has the Church encourages
groups loving the Church and praying
for the Church to continue.
We must pray for our beloved priests
today, say thanks for all their sacrifices
in a time when it is hard, demanding
physically and spiritually.
We can surrender to our will and
live to do God's will
—
In this lies our Might
— Might for
our mission —
We want things to always seem easy and
yet Christ shows us what He endured
for our sake.
Genesis Chapter 3
Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, 'Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?' The woman answered the snake, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death." ' Then the snake said to the woman, 'No! You will not die! God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.' The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they realised that they were naked. So they sewed fig-leaves together to make themselves loin-cloths.
The man and his wife heard the sound of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from Yahweh God among the trees of the garden. But Yahweh God called to the man. 'Where are you?' he asked. 'I heard the sound of you in the garden,' he replied. 'I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.' 'Who told you that you were naked?' he asked. 'Have you been eating from the tree I forbade you to eat?' The man replied, 'It was the woman you put with me; she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.' Then Yahweh God said to the woman, 'Why did you do that?' The woman replied, 'The snake tempted me and I ate.'
Then Yahweh God said to the snake, 'Because you have done this,
Accursed be you
of all animals wild and tame!
On your belly you will go
and on dust you will feed
as long as you live.
I shall put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
it will bruise your head
and you will strike its heel.'To the woman he said:
I shall give you intense pain
in childbearing,
you will give birth to your children
in pain.
Your yearning will be for your husband,
and he will dominate you.To the man he said, 'Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat,
Accursed be the soil because of you!
Painfully will you get your food from it
as long as you live.
It will yield you brambles and thistles,
as you eat the produce of the land.
By the sweat of your face
will you earn you food,
until you return to the ground,
as you were taken from it.
For dust you are
and to dust you shall return. The man named his wife 'Eve' because she was the mother of all those who live. Yahweh God made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and clothed them. Then Yahweh God said, 'Now that the man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick from the tree of life too, and eat and live for ever!' So Yahweh God expelled him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he had been taken. He banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden he posted the great winged creatures and the fiery flashing sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.
October 26, 2006 message continues
Messenger:
After the fall
— man became
self-focused and Christ wants us to
be other focused — loving one another.
After the fall man wanted to be
dominant, may give into disharmony,
see impurely
— act impurely from
a wounded human nature.
It is one thing to talk about this,
but really to cooperate with God's
grace to do God's will not try to force
our will contrary to God.
Our life here is to be more like Jesus.
To live our life to be more perfected as
Our Heavenly Father.
Hebrews 7: 26-28
Such is the high priest that met our need, holy, innocent and uncontaminated, set apart from sinners, and raised up above the heavens; he has no need to offer sacrifices every day, as the high priests do, first for their own sins and only then for those of the people; this he did once and for all by offering himself. The Law appoints high priests who are men subject to weakness; but the promise on oath, which came after the Law, appointed the Son who is made perfect for ever.
Hebrews 8: 1-6
The principal point of all that we have said is that we have a high priest of exactly this kind. He has taken his seat at the right of the throne of divine Majesty in the heavens, and he is the minister of the sanctuary and of the true Tent which the Lord, and not any man, set up. Every high priest is constituted to offer gifts and sacrifices, and so this one too must have something to offer. In fact, if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are others who make the offerings laid down by the Law, though these maintain the service only of a model or a reflection of the heavenly realities; just as Moses, when he had the Tent to build, was warned by God who said: See that you work to the design that was shown you on the mountain.
As it is, he has been given a ministry as far superior as is the covenant of which he is the mediator, which is founded on better promises.
Hebrews 8: 10-11
No, this is the covenant
I will make with the House of Israel,
when those days have come,
the Lord declares:
In their minds I shall plant my laws
writing them on their hearts.
Then I shall be their God,
and they shall be my people.
There will be no further need
for each to teach his neighbour,
and each his brother,
saying ‘Learn to know the Lord!’
No, they will all know me,
from the least to the greatest,
Hebrews 10: 16
No, this is the covenant
I will make with them,
when those days have come.the Lord says:
In their minds I will plant my Laws
writing them on their hearts,
1 Peter 1: 5
who are being kept safe by God’s power through faith until the salvation which has been prepared is revealed at the final point of time.
1 John 1 2-5
That life was made visible;
we saw it and are giving our testimony,
declaring to you the eternal life,
which was present to the Father
and has been revealed to us.
We are declaring to you
what we have seen and heard,
so that you too may share our life.
Our life is shared with the Father
and with his Son Jesus Christ.
We are writing this to you
so that our joy may be complete. This is what we have heard from him
and are declaring to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness in him at all.
John 19: 25-27
Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
John 19: 31-37
It was the Day of Preparation, and to avoid the bodies’ remaining on the cross during the Sabbath—since that Sabbath was a day of special solemnity—the Jews asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken away. Consequently the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with him and then of the other. When they came to Jesus, they saw he was already dead, and so instead of breaking his legs one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water. This is the evidence of one who saw it—true evidence, and he knows that what he says is true—and he gives it so that you may believe as well. Because all this happened to fulfil the words of scripture: Not one bone of his will be broken; and again, in another place scripture says: They will look to the one whom they have pierced.
