Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Letter to Jesus

R. I played at Mass yesterday and I heard
everyone singing and praising God - I was
thrilled at all of them praising You. I kept
playing from the heart. I felt Your presence
and I felt it last week in Communion -
like a pressure on my chest knowing You are
this close to me. I know You are with me.

Jesus, help me to find Your light deep inside
me, a light only You can give. I can flounder
around inside for years in darkness, but
You can turn the light on and fill me
with your peace, only You can fill me with
Your peace.

God speaks: Peace, I leave My peace, I give
peace to you.

R. Peace for me? Lamb of God, You take
away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Breathe in the richness, the fullness
of God, the richness, the fullness of God.

Psalm 91: 2

saying to Yahweh, ‘My refuge, my
fortress, my God in whom I trust!’

R. Jesus, here is my heart, please put on Your
spiritual bandages. And as You place a
spiritual bandage on each scar, the scar
is healed by the power of Your grace and the
bandage disappears.

Psalm 91: 2

saying to Yahweh, ‘My refuge, my
fortress, my God in whom I trust!’

R. And You are here, Lord. You stand
across the room from me and You come
close to me clothed in white. Your body
is surrounded by a beautiful light
and You come near me with Your power
and Your love. Your strong but gentle
hand You place on my head and through
my body is a feeling of warmth,
joy and peace, and I know I am
touched by Your ever present love.

        R. We were all little once.

If we could watch our lives as children we may learn a lot.

My mom died when I was 5 and I only had 1/2 year of kindergarten.

I know when I made my first communion I was so happy to go to Jesus.

My dad was sick and could not go and my step-mother went.
Being the youngest of 5, I think, without my real mom, and that loss of mom dying, it was not the same.

Fr. Joe was the oldest, 9 years older than me.

Mom lost a baby after me, then got cancer.

Mom died and dad was left with 5 children.

At an early age like 5, I knew about heaven and Jesus, and and soon after her death we prayed at home every day as a family.

Jesus merited grace for us by His life, death and resurrection.
We see how much Jesus suffered for all this.

Fr. Carter always said, it’s not that too much suffering is in the world, but so much is wasted.

I watched my brother Jim with Parkinson’s for 20 years.
I asked him to offer up his suffering for Fr Joe’s books.

Now Fr. Joe has Parkinson’s and suffered a lot in the nursing home during the Covid.

Jesus lived the quiet life from age 12 to 30.

We may have planned Jesus’ life differently.

Suffering can lead to new life, we see the pascal mystery - death / resurrection.

Jesus died for our sins, to bring us to new life in baptism.

Death / Resurrection

Suffering / New Life in him!!!

Light / Darkness

We are here to die to the ways not like Jesus and grow in the image and likeness of Jesus.

Time goes by fast here.
Heaven is forever.
Heaven is forever and ever, it never ends!!!

What ever vocation we have here we have to prepare.
We go to school, athletes work hard, doctors have to study…

We have a life time to prepare for eternal life.

Eternal life is forever.

We are always learning: good or bad.

Jesus was crucified with 2 thieves.
One was sorry, one was not.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
Only one thing is important: Eternal Life.
Unrepented sin can take us from eternal salvation.

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

Mysteries of Light

The Baptism of Jesus

1. Mark 1: 9-11

It was at this time that Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptised in the Jordan by John. And at once, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit, like a dove, descending on him. And a voice came from heaven, ‘You are my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on you.’

2. The heavens were thrown open and the voice of the Father was heard.

3. “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well please.”

4. The Light shines in the darkness.

5. People can change.

6. The devil works in fear and lies.

7. Can you remember being a child?

8. Think of the Holy Family.

9. Mary says, the family that prays together, stays together.

10. When Jesus was baptized the Father gave His endorsement, the Holy Spirit was seen over His head.
The Father's voice, Jesus was there, and the Holy Spirit too, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Marriage at Cana

1. John 2: 1-10

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’  There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.’ They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said, ‘Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.’

2. Jesus changed water into wine.

3. Jesus is the Son of God - He is a God of miracles.

4. Jesus gives Himself to us in the Eucharist.

5. Jesus feeds us so we can grow in love.

6. Faith is the only way we see some things, Thomas, after the resurrection, had to touch Jesus’ hands and side.

7. Faith is believing without having to see.

8. We see Jesus through Faith, prayer, the scriptures, the sacraments and through love.

9. When we come to Mass we believe Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist in His Divinity and humanity.

10. When we hear the Gospel we believe Jesus is talking to us.

The Kingdom of God

1. We pray for an increase in faith.

2. We see how the Church grew after Pentecost.
We need the Holy Spirit to increase our love and Faith.

3. The apostles never seemed to grasp what Jesus was telling them about His death and resurrection.

4. We see the Faith of the martyrs, like Stephen, that helped build up the Church.
They had so much faith to die for their faith in Jesus.

5. Jesus has not abandoned us, He ascended into heaven, but is truly present in the Eucharist, this takes faith.

6. When we keep God’s commandments and put God first, we show God how much we believe in Him and keep His commandments.

7. The proof of our love for God is how we obey His commandments.

8. When we keep God’s commandments and give Him love, we live more in Him and Jesus in us.

9. From Bread of Life Homily Book - May 21, 2017

HOMILY - ... if we follow God’s word we are loving him in the way he wants us to and the more we open ourselves to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the more they will be present to us and reveal themselves to us.

10. The Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

The Transfiguration

1. Mark 9: 2-8

Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, ‘Rabbi,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.

2. 2 Peter 1:16-19

When we told you about the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were not slavishly repeating cleverly invented myths; no, we had seen his majesty with our own eyes. He was honoured and glorified by God the Father, when a voice came to him from the transcendent Glory, This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. We ourselves heard this voice from heaven, when we were with him on the holy mountain. So we have confirmation of the words of the prophets; and you will be right to pay attention to it as to a lamp for lighting a way through the dark, until the dawn comes and the morning star rises in your minds.

3. From Bread of Life Homily Book - August 6, 2017

I have always believed that the transfiguration happened to boost the Apostles’ faith as well as to strengthen Jesus’ faithfulness to the mission of his suffering which was rapidly approaching.

4. Sing: A Song from Jesus

5. God is light and in Him is no darkness. Can you imagine the Apostles and how they were seeing Jesus transfigured on Mt Tabor.

6. This helped strengthen them for what they soon would have to endure.

7. Every time such a gift is given it helps us in our faith. Seeing Jesus transfigured was, indeed, a great gift.

8. We see like with a veil, some day, if we go to heaven we will have the beatific vision.

9. Oh God help us in our journey to walk by greater and greater faith in Thee.

10. We are here to prepare, God has promised us not to abandon us. God loves us so much.
Look at all He gave us in Shepherds of Christ.

The Institution of the Eucharist

1. A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.

I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.

Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.

Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.

Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.

Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.

-Mass Book, December 27, 1995

2. Song: I Love You Jesus

3. The  Mass is a great act of love.

4. The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made present.

5. Jesus remains with us today, truly present in the Eucharist.

6. The more we become one in loving Jesus, the more united and loving we become to others.

7. The Mass is so beautiful, we unite in the mystery of His love.

8. A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

9. Song: Your Presence Pervades my Soul

10. From Blue Book II - April 13, 1994 - I Love You

Picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Words of Jesus. Read before the Tabernacle.

Jesus:  How, child, do I, Jesus, tell you I love you? You hold on to silly things when God is in your midst and is ardently loving you. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am writing to each precious child this day. I am on fire for love of you. I remain in the Eucharist to be with you with My ardent love. I did not want to leave My beloved ones at the Last Supper. I love you so, My dear and ardently loved children. I remain with you this day in the Blessed Sacrament, the same Jesus Who died a brutal death on the Cross.

Do you know I am truly present there? Do you know that God waits every day for you in the tabernacle? Do you comprehend even a minute amount of My love? You will never know of how I love you on earth.

I, Jesus, truly the Son of God, came to earth a man and suffered a brutal death for love of you. I love you so much! I remain with you this day. I long for your love. I want you to come and be with Me in front of the tabernacle. I wait, I yearn for you to come and whisper your love to Me. I am a person and I love you this day, with such an ardent on-fire love! No human could ever compare a speck to My love for you.

I wait, little ones, in the tabernacle. I wait for you to come and receive Me in Communion. I want you to want Me so much you cannot wait to come and receive Me. I want to be the love, the center of your life!

I am Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am writing to you this day. I want to possess your very soul and live in you. I have all you need, sweet ones. Oh, you are so blind! I long for your union with Me. I wrote the book of love. I instituted it, yet you go to the world for your love and do not even come to Me! Oh, I love you, little ones. Little ones, beloved of the Father, loved by the Holy Spirit, mothered by My very own mother! What more can I say? The rest is up to you!

I give you your will with such love and I want your love freely given. I am God. What do you think you could ever need that I do not give you? I am the Savior of this world. I am Jesus, the Son of God. I am waiting for you. I am longing for you. I am yearning for you. I am God. I have all you ever will need!

Surrender this life to Me. Pray My Prayer for Union with Me. I want to possess your soul and operate from your very being. I am Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I am Who am. I died and rose on the third day.

Harken to My call, harken to My pleading. Spend your days in love with Me. Nothing matters unless it is rooted in Me and rooted in My love. I am the Son of God. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I love you with the tenderest love. I am waiting this day for just you, My beloved one. Come to Me for I am the tenderest of all hearts. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10
