Prayer for Grace for Election and our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants. We pray for the upcoming election.

    Dear Father,
    I offer up all I do all day united to Jesus
    in the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, through

R. We have to do what God wants us to even
if we get irritated by those around us.

Thank You God, when others upset us and
make it hard to move ahead doing God’s Plan,
even though we were upset.

Mary did God’s will if carrying a pebble or
a boulder.

Jesus sweat blood knowing all of men’s sins,
but He endured.

 

R. Jesus painted the trees in a golden array.
Think of our own baptized, graced soul.

Fr. Carter said if we saw our own baptized,
graced soul, we would fall over.

We are here to follow Jesus.

The wind comes and blows the autumn
leaves about.

Satan wants to influence our actions.

We have to be tough inside, so we do not
get blown about like fall leaves.

When we are weak, we are strong in Him.

We determine our actions not on outside
influences, but what God is calling us to
do and we keep moving ahead in doing
His will.

Today is the day, the Lord has made.
 

R. May God help me, I thank You for the gift
of our bodies that served us so much our
whole life.
Thank God for your legs and arms and
brain and organs.

Thank God for the gift of seeing, of hearing,
of teeth and tongue, swallowing, digestion,
lungs.

Thank You God for our bodies. That is a
precious gift He gives us.

And how Jesus paid with the whipping at
the pillar for the sins of the flesh.

How Jesus paid for the sins of the head with
the crowning of thorns.

Jesus' eyes were filled with blood from the
blows to His head.

His ears full of blood.

Jesus’ teeth went through His tongue, sins
of speech, sins of the mouth.

Galatians 2:19-21

I am not setting aside God's grace as of no value; it is merely that if saving justice comes through the Law, Christ died needlessly.

Jesus is my best friend. He knew me when
He died on the cross as my best friend.

Jesus gave up His life for me in the brutal
crucifixion.

Jesus, He has a personal love for us.
This love for us calls for our response.

R. Christianity is religion of love.

R. Dear Holy Spirit come to me, possess
my soul, I love You, Holy Spirit.
When I am weak, I am strong in You.
Outpour Your precious love to me. Amen.
I love You, God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Dear Holy Spirit infuse in my intellect
wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
Counsel me Holy Spirit from the mind of
God.

Help me, dear Holy Spirit to know the loving
embrace of God all the days of my life.
I turn to You. Amen.

When I find doing God's desire for my life
difficult give me the gift of fortitude, dear
Holy Spirit.
Sanctify my heart to act purely for the
honor and glory of God.
I may be willing, but I need Your gift to
give me courage to act as You desire.
Help me to know and love the heavenly
Father's will for me and to do it in love
for the honor and glory of God.

Help me to always put God first in my life,

Please Holy Spirit give me the gift of fear

that of purity in pleasing the Heavenly

Dear Holy Spirit please help me in the gift

Father with the tenderness as His little child.

Dear Saint Joseph,

I turn to you, you who cared and
protected the child Jesus and the
Virgin Mary.
You taught men and women, the
love of God by your example in life,
and by your faithfulness of living
your calling in greatest commitment
and love.

You loved Mary and Jesus with the
most gentle, bonds of love.

You showed us how you
lived in loving conformity to the
Heavenly Father's will.

You guided Jesus and Mary's precious
lives with the Holy Spirit, Spouse of
the Virgin Mother of God.

Protect us and our family this day and
every day of our lives, like
you did the Holy Family of Nazareth.
We seek your powerful intercession.

How intimately you knew and loved
Jesus and Mary. You were so close to
them. You showed us love.

Your heart was pure and gentle and
yet you were strong in being their
manly protector on earth, intercede
for us to depend more and more on
God for all our needs, for when we
are weak we are strong in God.

St. Joseph please intercede for a
peaceful and holy death for us and
our sick loved ones.

The Annunciation

1. Luke 1: 26-38

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.

The Visitation

1. Luke 1: 39-45

Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’

people's sight, so that, seeing your good works,
they may give praise to your Father in heaven.

The Birth of Jesus

1. Luke 2: 8-14

In the countryside close by there were shepherds out in the fields keeping guard over their sheep during the watches of the night. An angel of the Lord stood over them and the glory of the Lord shone round them. They were terrified, but the angel said, ‘Do not be afraid. Look, I bring you news of great joy, a joy to be shared by the whole people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. And here is a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.’ And all at once with the angel there was a great throng of the hosts of heaven, praising God with the words:

The Presentation in the Temple

1. Luke 2: 25-35

Now in Jerusalem there was a man named Simeon. He was an upright and devout man; he looked forward to the restoration of Israel and the Holy Spirit rested on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he had set eyes on the Christ of the Lord. Prompted by the Spirit he came to the Temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the Law required, he took him into his arms and blessed God; and he said:

    Now, Master, you are letting 
        your servant go in peace 
    as you promised; 
    for my eyes have seen the salvation 
    which you have made ready 
        in the sight of the nations; 
    a light of revelation for the gentiles 
    and glory for your people Israel.

As the child’s father and mother were wondering at the things that were being said about him, Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, ‘Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed—and a sword will pierce your soul too — so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare.'   

2. A sword too will pierce your heart, O Mary.
3. Simeon told Mary of sufferings to come.
4. The Presentation.
5. The Flight into Egypt.
6. The Finding of Jesus in the Temple.
7. Mary and Jesus met on the way to Calvary.
8. The Carrying of the Cross.

10. Jesus taken down from the cross.
    Jesus placed in the Tomb.

 

The Finding in the Temple

1. When Jesus was twelve years old, the Holy
    Family went to Jerusalem for Passover.
2. When it was over Mary and Joseph had
    traveled a day's journey before they
    realized Jesus was not with them.
3. With sorrow in their hearts they returned
    to Jerusalem to find Him.
4. After searching for Him for three days,
    they found Him in the temple talking to
    the doctors.
5. The doctors were astounded at His wisdom.
6. He said He had to be about His Father's
    business.
7. Jesus teaches us today through His word.
8. He went down and was subject to them.
9. Mary, if we ever lose Jesus, lead us back
    to His tender Heart.
10. Jesus, help us to love Mary more.
