Consecration Prayer for Peace

I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.

I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able,  to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.

Prayer for Grace for Election and our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Galatians 2:20

“… and I live now not with my own life but with the life of Christ, who lives in me.”

R. The spiritual life is life
guided by the Holy Spirit.

Life in the Spirit.

Mystery means secret or
hidden.

God is the ultimate mystery.

The mystery of God, becomes
the mystery of Christ.
Christ is our Redeemer and
Savior.

1 John 2:5-6

“we can be sure that we are in God only when the one who claims to be living in him is living the same kind of life as Christ live.”

Romans 8:28-29

We know that, by turning everything to their good God cooperates, with all those who love him, with all those that he has called according to his purpose. They are the ones he chose specifically long ago, and intended to become true images of his Son, so that his Son might be the eldest of many brothers.”

R. The Incarnation goes on
in us Father Carter says,
“the world no longer sees
Christ, no longer is able to
reach out and touch him.
We are the ones who now
in someway make Christ,
visible and tangible,
existentially present to the
world of men. In union
with the invisible, glorified
Christ, and drawing upon
Him as our source of
strength, we continue the
Incarnation in its visible
and temporal dimension.”

Christ experienced pain and
joy of His life here below.
He lived His life in
relationship with Mary and
Joseph.

Christ truly suffered in the
passion and on Calvary.
Christ was crucified for
our sins. Christ lived in the
human condition.

2 Corinthians 5:17

So for anyone who is in Christ, there is a new creation: the old order is gone and a new being is there to see.

R. We live our human
life in Christ.

We live our vocation
according to God‘s will.

Romans 6:3-11

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life. If we have been joined to him by dying a death like his, so we shall be by a resurrection like his: realising that our former self was crucified with him, so that the self which belonged to sin should be destroyed and we should be freed from the slavery of sin. Someone who has died, of course, no longer has to answer for sin.

But we believe that, if we died with Christ, then we shall live with him too. We know that Christ has been raised from the dead and will never die again. Death has no power over him any more. For by dying, he is dead to sin once and for all, and now the life that he lives is life with God. In the same way, you must see yourselves as being dead to sin but alive for God in Christ Jesus.

R. The life we have in
Christ in baptism must be
fed.
We are fed in the Eucharist
and liturgy.
We encounter Christ in the
scriptures.
The Bread of Life is the
Word and the Eucharist.

We make encounter with
Christ in ourselves in
relationship with others.
We live the life, death and
resurrection of Christ in
our lives.
We see the selflessness,
gentleness, kindness of
Christ in those living the
mystery of Christ
beautifully in their lives,
as they are more and
more, one in Christ Jesus,
living a holy life, centered
in Him.

The Church is the Mystical
body of Christ, with Christ
the head.
As we learn to love others
according to God’s will, it
helps us in loving God more.
As we grow in our
relationship with God, it
helps us love others better.

Jesus says “I am the way,
the truth and the life.” John 14:6

Philippians 2:5-8

Make your own the mind of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God,
did not count equality with God
something to be grasped.

But he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
becoming as human beings are;
and being in every way
    like a human being,
he was humbler yet,
even to accepting death,
    death on a cross.

 John 10:10

I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.

  John 3:16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh, he lived among us, and we saw his glory, the glory that he has from the Father as only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus: I am Light and love,
kindness, gentleness and
peace.

Children in dysfunctional
homes have survival tactics,
they used to deal with the
dysfunction.

They can become rules, like:
Do no trust, Do not talk,
Do not feel.

These rules can majorly
affect relationships,
relationships require truth
and give and take, working
in co-operation with others.

Children in dysfunctional
homes are taught to not
communicate, not to work
together, run many times by
generations of these rigid
dances forced in
dysfunctional homes.

There are roles like the hero
child, the scape-goat child
etc. and children if returning
home, years later are still to
perform their role in that
dysfunctional pattern.

These ways children were
forced to live, brought pain,
control, that needs healing.

Even though a person is an
adult they are called “adult-
children” because they never
learned how to work in
relationships fairly and grow
in their self image as they
needed to, to have healthy
relationships.

They can go through life
seeking dominance at all
costs, power over others,
using these survival tactics
they learned as rules they can
guard without budging,
using force with others to
implement them for control,
unless they seek healing and
bring up these patterned
mine-falls in their past to
seek healing.

It is like bed-rock, it doesn’t
go away unless dealt with.
These dysfunctions stop
spontaneity and become the
rules one can force others
to put up with, an abuse,
measures of control for
forcing power and their
stilted ways of dysfunction
on others.

They are usually seeking
dominance for dominance
sake, isolating, and an -
 “unhappy-camper” on the
camping journey of life -
bull dozing ahead in
“mood”, “force” without
budging to dominate.

It doesn’t just go away.
Dysfunction get worse and
cannot be ignored.

Prayers to the Holy Spirit
are needed to grow in
loving conformity to the
will of God, with a firm
desire to admit the truth
about these patterned ways
of dysfunctional,
compulsive behavior and
praying for grace to work
hard to change and grow as
they need to, not hurt and
blame others for their bad
unloving, controlling, un-
cooperating ways - that are
survival tactics from a
dysfunctional childhood
home - no longer needed.

A Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Jesus: A closed window
lets in “no air”

In heaven there is God’s will
Perfection
Love, truth.

One must open and let the
Holy Spirit in to guide one’s
life in the truth of Jesus.

Open now while on earth.
Seek purity and love -
Living in the image and
likeness of God according
to the Father’s will.
In purgatory people are
suffering for not opening,
they should have worked
on in life.
Seek purity now, it is
healing pain now which
leads to freedom and love
and happiness.

R. Living in the moment.

Living as things happen, may
be better than anything you
could plan.

Living in the moment is the
only moment you can live in.

Living in the moment.

Song: Live This Day

From a Lenten Homily, March 24, 2000

Live in the Moment

Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation. end of Father Carter's homily

The Resurrection

1. Romans 6:3-11

The Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles

1. Acts 2:1-4

When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.

2. The Holy Spirit came
    upon the Apostles and the
Virgin Mary in the form of
    parted-tongues of fire.
3. Sing: Come Holy Ghost

4. Galatians 2:20

    Christ.

    Savior.

9. From Tell My People by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

        The Holy Spirit

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!"

10. Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.

Prayer: Come, Holy Spirit, fill us with your gifts of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety and fear of the Lord. As we dwell in the Heart of Mary, Your spouse, fashion us more and more according to the Heart of Jesus. end of excerpt

Prayer for the Holy Spirit and His Gifts

Come Holy Spirit, come, come into our hearts, inflame all people with the fire of Your love.

Leader: Send forth Your Spirit and all will be reborn.
All:  And You will renew the face of the earth.

We pray for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, we ask for perfection in our souls to make us holy, holy souls likened to God.

Dear Holy Spirit, we give ourselves to You soul and body. We ask You to give us the Spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.

4. From the Priestly Newsletter Book III by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

The Holy Spirit And Mary

The late Archbishop Luis M. Martinez of Mexico strikingly speaks of the ongoing cooperation of Mary with the Holy Spirit regarding the reproduction of Jesus within us: "Christian life is the reproduction of Jesus in souls…

"Now, how will this mystical reproduction be brought about in souls? In the same way in which Jesus was brought into the world, for God gives a wonderful mark of unity to all His works. Divine acts have a wealth of variety because they are the work of omnipotence; nevertheless, a most perfect unity always shines forth from them because they are the fruit of wisdom; and this divine contrast of unity and variety stamps the works of God with sublime and unutterable beauty.

"In His miraculous birth, Jesus was the fruit of heaven and earth…The Holy Spirit conveyed the divine fruitfulness of the Father to Mary, and the virginal soil brought forth in an ineffable manner our most loving Savior, the divine Seed, as the prophets called Him…

"That is the way He is reproduced in souls. He is always the fruit of heaven and earth.

"Two artisans must concur in the work that is at once God’s masterpiece and humanity’s supreme product: the Holy Spirit and the most holy Virgin Mary. Two sanctifiers are necessary to souls, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, for they are the only ones who can reproduce Christ.

"Undoubtedly, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary sanctify us in different ways. The first is the Sanctifier by essence; because He is God, who is infinite sanctity; because He is the personal Love that completes, so to speak, the sanctity of God, consummating His life and His unity, and it belongs to Him to communicate to souls the mystery of that sanctity. The Virgin Mary, for her part, is the co-operator, the indispensable instrument in and by God’s design. From Mary’s maternal relation to the human body of Christ is derived her relation to His Mystical Body which is being formed through all the centuries until the end of time, when it will be lifted up to the heavens, beautiful, splendid, complete, and glorious.

"These two, then, the Holy Spirit and Mary, are the indispensable artificers of Jesus, the indispensable sanctifiers of souls. Any saint in heaven can co-operate in the sanctification of a soul, but his co-operation is not necessary, not profound, not constant: while the co-operation of these two artisans of Jesus of whom we have just been speaking is so necessary that without it souls are not sanctified (and this by the actual design of Providence), and so intimate that it reaches to the very depths of our soul. For the Holy Spirit pours charity into our heart, makes a habitation of our soul, and directs our spiritual life by means of His gifts. The Virgin Mary has the efficacious influence of Mediatrix in the most profound and delicate operations of grace in our souls. And, finally, the action of the Holy Spirit and the co-operation of the most holy Virgin Mary are constant; without them, not one single character of Jesus would be traced on our souls, no virtue grow, no gift be developed, no grace increased, no bond of union with God be strengthened in the rich flowering of the spiritual life.

"Such is the place that the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary have in the order of sanctification. Therefore, Christian piety should put these two artisans of Christ in their true place, making devotion to them something necessary, profound, and constant." 18

6. Luke 1: 46-55

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

9. From Tell My People by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

Children of Mary

Mary: “My beloved priest-son, how often I have embraced you! How often I have told you how much I love you! How often, at your request, I have held you in my arms as my child. You have told me you realize how helpless you are of yourself, but how strong and secure you feel dwelling in my Heart and Jesus’ Heart. Your sense of your littleness and helplessness endears you to me all the more. I take you ever more securely to my maternal and Immaculate Heart. Tell all my people of the riches you have found within my Heart. Tell them how I place you within my Son’s Heart. Tell them that, because of my motherly action, you are now more closely united with Jesus than ever before. Tell my people to come to my Heart and draw forth similar riches. Tell all my little ones that Jesus, Who is Lord and Master, bids me to lead all to His Sacred Heart. The more my little ones dwell within my Immaculate Heart, the more I place them within Jesus’ Heart. Oh, how I love all my little ones! How I love to bring them to the Heart of Jesus!”

10. From Tell My People by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

Mary our Mother

Jesus: “My beloved friend, tell My people to come to My Mother. From the cross, as I was suffering indescribable agony, I gave Mary as spiritual Mother to the world. My great love for My people prompted Me to do this. I am Lord and Master, and I want My people to come to My Mother and their Mother. If you wish to be close to Me, come to Mary. Consecrate yourselves to her. In this way you will grow into the closest union with Me. Through her Immaculate Heart, you will be drawn more and more into My own Heart. It is My desire that you allow My Mother to place you within My Heart which loves you with an unfathomable love! This is My wish—that you come to Me enfolded by Mary’s mantle, cradled in her arms, pressed against her Heart.”

The Queenship of Mary

1. Revelation 12:1-2

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth.

2. Ephesians 4:1-4

I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you therefore to lead a life worthy of the vocation to which you were called. With all humility and gentleness, and with patience, support each other in love. Take every care to preserve the unity of the Spirit by the peace that binds you together. There is one Body, one Spirit, just as one hope is the goal of your calling by God.

3. Sing: Hail Holly Queen

4. Sing: See the Eyes that Look at Mary!

5. 1 Corinthians 2:9

“What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, what the mind of man cannot visualise; all that God has prepared for those who love him;”

6. The Incarnation goes on
    in us.
7. With regards to eternity,
    we cannot have the fullness
    of life here below.
8. We were meant for more!!!
    We cannot be satisfied here
    below.
9. We pray to the Holy Spirit to
infuse into our soul the gifts
    of wisdom, understanding
    and knowledge.
We want to know God more
    deeply, but we do not
    understand the depth and
    breath of the Divine God
    here below.
10. Reach - Reach - Go out
    and spread the Good News.
    We were created by God
    and He created us for
heaven, but we have a free
    will to live in loving
conformity to His will or not.
Do we see the mystery of
God, Do we seek to know
    Him -
    We were created to know,
    love and serve God!!!
    Reach. Reach. Reach.
    The Mystery of the Incarnation.
    The Mystery of Jesus, Son
    of God.
    The Mystery of God’s Love.
    The Mystery of Jesus, truly
    present in the Eucharist: Body,
    Blood, Soul and Divinity.
Beg the Holy Spirit to come
and fill us with His gifts.
    This is the Good News.

    Baptism, a sharing in His
    Life.
    Eucharist, He feeds this life
    with Himself.
    His Word!!!!

    This is about preparing
    ourselves.

    Our goal - eternal happiness.
    Seeing God face to face.
    Being wrapped in the beatific
    vision.

We are earthly, He is heavenly.

Yet He wants to reveal greater
    insight into the hidden mystery
    to us.

R. Mary is a spiritual Mother,
    Mary wants a personal
    relationship with us!!

    Open your eyes and hearts
to God, with Mary at our side.

From Tell My People by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

Mary, Model and Teacher of Love

Mary: “My beloved priest-son, I have led you to greatly increase your prayers and sacrifices for others. I have often reminded you of my teaching at Fatima—that many souls go to Hell because they have no one to pray and make sacrifices for them. My Immaculate
Heart longs that all my little ones be saved. Tell my little ones that they must love their neighbor through prayer, sacrifices, and other
ways, too. All should learn from me. My Heart is symbol, not only of my great love for God, but also of my tender love for all my little ones. Imitate my love for God and all my children. If you loveJesus and me, this means you also love all of God’s children. Jesus died for all. You cannot exclude anyone from your love.

“My Heart is the perfect imitator of the Heart of my Son. I will teach you how to love the Father and all mankind after the example
of Jesus. All my little ones, I long for you to come to my Heart so I can teach you the ways of love! I love you so much! Come to
my Immaculate Heart. Pressed against my Heart, I will hold you in my arms. I will clothe you with my motherly and protective mantle. As I hold you close to my Heart, I will teach you the ways of love!”

From Fr. Carter's Homily Book

School of Love

Today’s gospel from John’s Gospel speaks some beautiful words to us about Jesus’ gift of Himself to us in the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is such a great school of love. Jesus comes to us out of God’s miracle of love, through the miracle of transubstantiation, bread and wine is changed into the Body and Blood of Jesus. This is a wonderful miracle so that even though He ascended
into heaven he is still…in what the Church refers to as His real presence, in the Eucharist. Jesus remains with us: Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, today, in His real presence in the Eucharist.

Yes, the Eucharist is a great school of love. In the Eucharist, Jesus teaches us the lengths in which love can go. Jesus showed us His love, by His fruitful dying on the cross, by His glorious Resurrection, by remaining with us in the Eucharist. And so the Eucharist teaches us… love…always love, love of God, love your neighbor, love for each other as ourselves. The Eucharist teaches us…how the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus cries out for our love, and Jesus wants so much, so much to be loved.

But the Eucharist in its school of love tells us how he overwhelming loves us…Jesus gives himself to us in the Eucharist. He loved those who, loved and accepted Him and those who rejected Him, despite all Jesus did for them and all His love for them.

Jesus: My beloved ones, I
am waiting for you to come
and to be with Me.
I want you to come and
receive Me in the Eucharist,
longing and thirsting for Me.
I am a Person. I am the
Divine
Almighty God and I give you
Myself in the most intimate
way in the Holy Eucharist
and I take you into My Heart
and I reveal to you secrets of
My Divine love and you go
deeper and deeper into My
Heart and you know Me not
in words. You cry because I
let you experience Me in
My most intimate love.

Song: A Song from Jesus

And so He speaks to us,
and He says: I love you, I
love you, I love you.

Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10
