R. Dear Jesus,
Help me today to do Your will.
I pray for the world in union with
the Mass, to be the way - You want
it to be.
Dear Jesus, please help us.
We spread the Blood of Jesus on
the whole world and ask for an
outpouring of the Holy Spirit to live as
God wants, we cast the devil in
the fires of hell and consecrate
the Church and the world to the
Hearts of Jesus and Mary as far as we are able.
God help us. We love You so much.
We want to help make reparation
for our sins and the sins of the
human race
God help us. Hear our prayer –
Help us today.
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Sing: Glory Be
Readings of Today –
1 Maccabees 1: 10-15, 41-43, 54-57, 62-63
From these there grew a wicked offshoot, Antiochus Epiphanes son of King Antiochus; once a hostage in Rome, he became king in the 107th year of the kingdom of the Greeks. It was then that there emerged from Israel a set of renegades who led many people astray. 'Come,' they said, 'let us ally ourselves with the gentiles surrounding us, for since we separated ourselves from them many misfortunes have overtaken us.' This proposal proved acceptable, and a number of the people eagerly approached the king, who authorised them to practise the gentiles' observances. So they built a gymnasium in Jerusalem, such as the gentiles have, disguised their circumcision, and abandoned the holy covenant, submitting to gentile rule as willing slaves of impiety.
The king then issued a proclamation to his whole kingdom that all were to become a single people, each nation renouncing its particular customs. All the gentiles conformed to the king's decree, and many Israelites chose to accept his religion, sacrificing to idols and profaning the Sabbath.
On the fifteenth day of Chislev in the year 145 the king built the appalling abomination on top of the altar of burnt offering; and altars were built in the surrounding towns of Judah and incense offered at the doors of houses and in the streets. Any books of the Law that came to light were torn up and burned. Whenever anyone was discovered possessing a copy of the covenant or practising the Law, the king's decree sentenced him to death.
Yet there were many in Israel who stood firm and found the courage to refuse unclean food. They chose death rather than contamination by such fare or profanation of the holy covenant, and they were executed.
Psalm 119: 53, 61, 134, 150, 155, 158
Fury grips me when I see the wicked
who abandon your Law.Though caught in the snares of the wicked,
I do not forget your Law.Rescue me from human oppression,
and I will observe your precepts. My pursuers are coming closer to their wicked designs,
and further from your Law.Salvation is far from the wicked,
for they do not seek your will.The sight of these renegades appals me;
they do not observe your promise.
Luke 18: 35-43
Now it happened that as he drew near to Jericho there was a blind man sitting at the side of the road begging. When he heard the crowd going past he asked what it was all about, and they told him that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by. So he called out, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me.’ The people in front scolded him and told him to keep quiet, but he only shouted all the louder, ‘Son of David, have pity on me.’ Jesus stopped and ordered them to bring the man to him, and when he came up, asked him, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ ‘Sir,’ he replied, ‘let me see again.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Receive your sight. Your faith has saved you.’ And instantly his sight returned and he followed him praising God, and all the people who saw it gave praise to God.
R.
Throughout salvation history men
have abandoned God and worshipped
false gods – trying to force other men
to do so.
In yesterday's first reading we see
that the suffering from doing
this was unsurpassed.
Today we see in these readings
the blindness of men. That God
has given us His law and we
are to follow that law –
When men abandon the law of
God for false gods there is, indeed,
suffering. Dear God as we approach the
end of the liturgical year, let us
meditate on the willfulness of men
to abandon the laws of God and
see that when we go toward this
how great are the sufferings of
men.
We want to help make reparation
for our sins and the sins of the
human race and pray as Jesus
told Fr. Carter for the Church and the
world – centered in devotion to the
Heart of Jesus and Mary's Immaculate Heart.
Lord, let us focus on You and Your
Plan for salvation. We are grateful
for You, Jesus, truly present in
the Eucharist.
We long to receive You, we unite
to all the Masses going on around
the world Lord, please hear our
prayer for renewal of the Church
and the world.

Sin is disorder to the order
God wants in the world.
Every sin must be paid for –
God shows us that Jesus came to
this earth, Jesus, the Son of God,
to pay for our sins. Sin brings
down punishment and is opposed
to true happiness.
We know how disease of the
body can be so painful, but
the suffering from disease of
the soul is far greater.
The soul was made to go to heaven
and be with God. We can see how
sickness of the body can bring
on death, but do we comprehend
that sin hurts the soul and
we can sin and not repent –
mortally and suffer for eternity.
Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.
e) Relationship with Members of the Church
There is but one true Church of Christ. Yet this one Church has three different states of existence. There is the pilgrim Church, the Church of this world, composed of members who have received the grace of Christ and strive for its development. They have not yet obtained the goal of their efforts, as have the members of the heavenly Church, who enjoy God in eternal happiness. The Church suffering is an intermediate state of existence necessary for those who had not achieved the required purification as members of the pilgrim Church. Although there are these three phases of the Church’s existence, there is a profound union existing between all the members. All these members possess the same basic life of grace in Christ, and this common life establishes the most intimate bonds of love. In our preceding chapter, we discussed the pilgrim Church. Let us now consider the Church suffering and the heavenly Church.
The members of the Church suffering are those who have departed from this life in an incomplete state of Christian development. Their development is incomplete in the sense that grace has not fully taken possession of them, and, as a result, they are yet closed in upon themselves to a greater or lesser degree. They as yet cannot open themselves out in complete love to the Triune God in the beatific vision. They must undergo a further purification, a purification which could have been achieved upon earth with merit. Now the purification must be achieved with no merit attached. The pain of this purification is mixed with the certain expectation of achieving the vision of God. We can hasten the advent of this vision for this people by the offering of prayers and other good works. Scripture itself refers to our action on behalf of those in purgatory in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Maccabees beginning with verse 38.
The members of the heavenly Church are those in whom the life of grace has taken full possession and has reached its completion in the life of glory. Faith now is unnecessary, as the light of glory gives the human intellect a new strength and capacity for seeing God face-to-face. While the Christian was a wayfarer, he received the imprint of the indwelling Trinity as he shared in God’s own life. Now in heaven that grace-life and possession of God reaches its completion—the absolute completion is not achieved, however, until the resurrection of the body. The divine persons give Themselves to the beatified in a profound union far surpassing that of the indwelling of the Trinity experienced here below.
This life of heaven is still the Christ-life, for just as we possess a share in Trinitarian life here below as mediated by Christ, and exercise this grace-life as structured by Him, so also in heaven is the mediation of Christ present. In the words of Rahner, "One always sees the Father through Jesus. Just as immediately as this, for the directness of the vision of God is not a denial of the mediatorship of Christ as man."14 And not only does the humanity of Christ unite the blessed to God, but also, in some way, to the whole of creation. This is merely a completion of what is begun here below, namely, the union with Christ in His humanity establishing the Christian in a special relationship with God, with other men, and with the whole of creation. We have a glimpse, therefore, of the fullness of life which members of the heavenly Church possess.
The heavenly Church, as St. Thomas says, is the true Church.15 The Church of this earth and the Church of purgatory are, each in its own way, reaching out in loving hope for the heavenly Jerusalem. Vatican II puts it very simply: "The Church, to which we are called in Christ Jesus, and in which we acquire sanctity through the grace of God, will attain her full perfection only in the glory of heaven."16
The members of the heavenly Church can help us in living our life of grace until we too share its fullness with them. Their power of intercession on our behalf is but another ramification of the communal aspect of Christianity. We are meant to help others grow in Christ. We, in turn, are intended by God to receive aid from others—yes, from members of the heavenly Church, as well as from those with whom we dwell here below.
Not only can we be aided by the saints’ intercession, but the example of the canonized saints can also be of great value to us. They have concretely proved that full holiness is possible. Such an inspiration is of real worth when we are tempted to think that Christian sanctity in its higher degrees is impossible of attainment. Moreover, the canonized saints, in their diversity, teach us that there are many authentic versions of Christian holiness. They can be innovators in showing us that there are numerous possibilities in assimilating the mystery of Christ, although the basic assimilation remains the same for all Christians of all times. In the opinion of Rahner this is one of the chief roles the canonized saints exert in the life of the Church.17

R.
Sin can bring a man to
desires that are opposed to God's
plan, opposed to God's will and
the person can be at war with
the plan of God inside himself.
Sin takes away happiness
and the man is miserable –
Why would a man stay in sin?
Man has been given laws by
God to follow and his goal
should be eternal happiness
in heaven.
Within our heart is always
the vision God wants us to have
and working toward the goal
of eternal salvation.
Just like eating right and taking care
of ourselves so we can avoid disease
of the body –
If we are wise, according to God's
designs, we seek to follow God's laws for
our life and we seek eternal happiness,
in heaven.
God has commanded us to love
Him and love our neighbor as ourselves.
We live with others and are to work
with others in the building of the
Kingdom of God. Men are to work
in union with each other to
achieve eternal happiness.
We seek peace and harmony among
men, so families, Churches, neighborhoods,
countries and the world – work
together to build the Kingdom of God –
The prayers Jesus gave Fr. Carter are
to help renew the Church and the world –
centered in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
Jesus is our eternal King. We want
to pray that the world makes Jesus
the King and Center of their hearts.
The Sacred Heart devotion is centered in
the love of our Divine God who is
priest, prophet and king.
R.
We consecrate our hearts to our Divine King.
to Our Blessed Lord, we give ourselves
entirely, to live the Plan of the Heavenly
Father, as Jesus showed us when
He came to earth, in the Holy Spirit.
Consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
are so important to renewal of the
Church and the world.
To display images of the Sacred Heart and Immaculate
Heart in homes and schools and Churches,
to consecrate homes and schools
and Churches to the Sacred Heart and
Immaculate Heart.
Jesus has asked us to pray these prayers,
honoring the Sacred Heart and Immaculate
Heart before the statues of the Sacred
Heart and Immaculate Heart with the
glass from Mary's image head
that was destroyed.
R.
Jesus has promised great graces of
healing for praying the prayers
before the statues of the Sacred Heart
and Immaculate Heart with glass and
other statues of Jesus and Mary.
R.
Man can act according to God's laws
and do what God calls him to do –
or he can rebel against God's law
and stay in enslavement of sin,
but to those who have sinned –
God tells us we are to be sorry
and with a firm purpose of
amendment move away from
that sin and turn to God.
God is merciful and he gives us
the sacrament of confession for
those who have sinned mortally.
We are to do good and we are
to avoid evil.
Matthew 22: 36-40
'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'
R.
These laws are to ultimately lead man
to greater life as God wants us to
live and lead men to happiness.
Man needs laws to live by – without
man obeying laws - he becomes
lawless and the love goes out
when he operates on his own
whims without care for God
and others –
Jesus is the Light of the World –
Jesus came – He died for our sins
and we today are to follow in
His footsteps – this will lead us
to real happiness.
Jesus is the eternal King –
Jesus showed us the way –
Jesus came to give us life – so
we would one day have the fullness
of life in heaven.
We are in control of our actions –
How we act with our free will can
lead us to happiness if we
follow God's plan –
God gives us this gift – to follow
Jesus and be happy –
We choose happiness by how we
act. We are here to learn to work with
others according to God's plan –
True happiness is found in having
the vision of God –
This takes faith.
We pray for the increase of faith, hope
and love.
We received these virtues in
baptism.
Romans 6: 2-4
Out of the question! We have died to sin; how could we go on living in it? You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life.
R. Fr. Carter says in Response in Christ:
end of excerptExcerpt from Chapter One -- The Concept of the Christian Life
Through Baptism therefore the Christian is incorporated into Christ's death-resurrection. Baptism pledges the Christian to die to sin and ideally to all that is not in accordance with God's will, even though sin is not involved. Baptism also pledges the Christian to live vitally his new life in Christ, his share in Christ's Resurrection. As he is incorporated into Christ through baptism, the Christian is also made a member of the Church. Awareness of this simultaneous incorporation into both Christ and the Church emphasizes for the Christian the fact that his life of holiness in Christ is to be lived out in community. In other words, the Christian lives in Christ within the People of God, within the Church. This stress of contemporary spirituality upon the communal aspect of Christian holiness is firmly rooted in God's revealed truth. Throughout salvation history God has lovingly communicated Himself to man within the covenant framework with its communal dimension. He has also asked for man's response in love within this same covenant framework.
The Church in union with Christ is the new covenant. Since Christ is the Head of His Church, it follows that the Church with her members must live out the covenant life according to the structure which Christ gives her. The Church has no life, no pattern of life, except that which Christ gives her. This basic pattern or structure is death-resurrection. Christ established the Church by His paschal mystery, His death-resurrection. In so establishing the Church by such an event, Christ also determined how the Church essentially lives out her covenant life down through the ages – through death and Resurrection.
