I Cannot Look at My Brothers with Division, I Must Look with Union
R. My dear Jesus,
Forgive my impurities. My heart is in need of cleaning. Help me to see as You see, with the eyes of love. Help my heart to be as Yours, to love always each and every precious child created by You.
Help me to love. I see my ways are so far from Your kind and gentle ways and I long to be so much more like You.
Jesus: It is in the seeing of your brothers through the eyes of love that you will not size them up, but love them.
There is no division in a heart of love. In love there are not barriers. You see before you your brother, a child of God, created by the Father, redeemed in the blood of Jesus. You do not look with eyes of competition, or eyes that divide, but with eyes that unite. See yourself as one. My dear child, I am the Head. Will you pray for the grace to see with the eyes of love? See as never before all being one in Him, all one in the family of God, each person your brother or sister, with God as your dear, loving Father, Mary, as your most holy Mother!
I am Jesus. I give you a new commandment: Love one another as I have loved you. To My death, I have loved you. Look into the eyes of your brother with love, if you look with love at each and every person, you will see the beauty of the Father's creation.
You are My lights that will shine in the darkness. Let not your hearts be cold and callous. Let your hurts be filled with My love. Do not look at your brother and size him up - already, you have created division. Look at your brother, as your brother, being one in the family of God. To look with division, you are dividing yourself before you begin.

R. I went to the Center after our trip and went to the Sorrowful Mother Chapel. I was so close to Mary, I cried all the way down in the car - I love her and my Jesus so much! I cried to see Jesus on the crucifix, in the back of the Sorrowful Mother Chapel.
In the chapel I cried and begged God for help to circulate the messages. I went to Fr. Carter's Mass, realizing how Jesus is coming to me in the Eucharist His Body and Blood - I love Him so much! I realized His life, filling me, filling my whole being - God comes to me! I am such an unworthy vessel for such a great honor to behold God.

A Oneness Between Mary and Child
Rosary
R. I see Him, His arms wounded and bleeding. I hear His breath, not complaining, belabored breath, but surrendering to it all. His head is punctured with thorns and bleeding.
I see His beautiful Mother under the cross, her arms pleading and in prayer. Her prayer - raised up to the Father.
Mary: Dear men, you with sinful hearts - turn your ways to the ways of my Son, Jesus.
R. I am so connected to His suffering - her suffering - and her infant, Jesus.
Be there in every drop of blood He shed, in every bead of water excreted from His precious body. What do you hear all through the passion? Do you hear grunts? Do you hear the cross being dragged?
Jesus comes in the night. He stands behind you and He places His hand on your shoulder and He says, in a clear voice... "I am here, I love you."

R. The two Hearts that beat within one body - the connection between this child in her womb and His Mother - the oneness. How close They are!
The silent knowing all through Their lives, from the prophecy of Simon. From this point on, every picture I see is the child in her arms, the Mother holding Him, a silent awareness of the events to come.
All through Their lives, a silent awareness of the suffering to come!
In the temple, the first separation, this is the immenseness of the sorrow, the loss ever so great between a Son and a mother, but a knowing of the suffering to come - the final separation.
She now beholds her Son and says, "Son, why did You do this to us?" Really, in her heart, a knowing of so much more - both knowing the sufferings to come, but not discussing them. "Son, why have You done this to us?" She remembers Simeon's prophesy.
The piercing look, the connection between Jesus and Mary in that look - a volume could be written about Their lives, up to this point, of 33 years of this suffering. Mary sees His face covered with blood and carrying the cross. Mary looks into Jesus' eyes and Jesus looks into the eyes of His beloved Mother. Mary stood by Jesus since infancy - Jesus sees in Mary's eyes, His beloved Mother, so pure, so holy, chosen by His Father, from all women, for Him and He sees her suffering!
Mary stood beneath the cross. Behold the same child she carried in her womb and she saw to His death. Mary's hands are lifted high as she pleads for her beloved baby, the same baby whose Heart beat in her body. Now the final separation. The final hour - the end. The silent bond that They carried in Their Hearts, now a reality.
First Sorrow
In a Vision: The heart of Mary is in such anguish - this is the sorrow she responded to always with such light and life. Mary beams brightest at this sorrow.
Her heart knew so many things. Mary knows her children, the children of the world that will reject the graces God sends them and live in mortal sin, rejecting the grace God sends despite all Jesus suffered.
Mary's heart swelled up with such pain, pain to see her child suffer and pain to see the children of the world refuse the graces God wants to send. Joy to know of the man that would receive these graces and know God and prepare for heaven!
There was such sorrow for Mary when He was lost in the temple. They were separated. Such suffering. Why would Mary be in such grief when she knew He was being guarded by God? It was a foreshadowing of this final separation when she would stand under the cross and He would die.
Mary remained in suffering at the point of death. Mary suffered when Jesus died. She was the only one of the two suffering. Mary suffered, suffering for Jesus for three days in the temple - a foreshadowing of the three days between His death and His resurrection. A foreshadowing of the time when she would remain on this earth and He would ascend into heaven.
Mary was outside the tomb. Mary wept for the loss of children of this world - the children, her children, who would go to hell for their mortal sins, despite His suffering.
Mary: I wept outside the tomb of my beloved Son for the children in your world today. Little children being murdered, little children being taught such vileness, and sex, at such an early age. The slaughter of my Son - the slaughter of the innocent today.
Pray, my beloved ones, mediate on the sufferings of my Son in the stations here. As you mediate on His Passion and death, your hearts will deepen in such love with Him. You must pray. Come to our hearts and find strength to continue your battle against the evil world. You are my apostles. I send into the world, armed with hearts of love. Harken to my call, for many of the little ones will lose their souls. What you do with your life will make such a difference to many souls.
I am Mary, your Mother. I am giving you my motherly protection and love. Thank you for responding to this request.

Luke 1: 46-48
And Mary said:
Pentecost Sunday
May 31, 2009
– (Acts 2:1-11; 1 Cor 12:3b-7, 12-13; John 20:19-23) The feast of Pentecost is a very ancient feast that goes back 1000 years before Christ. It was one of the three most important Jewish feasts, and it is one of our three most important feasts. Originally it was a harvest feast. Gradually it came to be a celebration of God giving his Law to the Hebrews at Mt. Sinai and establishing them as his own special people. It was as the Jews were celebrating this feast that the Holy Spirit came upon the first believers in Christ. They were sent forth in power to all people to proclaim God’s saving love demonstrated in Jesus’ death and resurrection. As I was preparing what I was going to say today, I referred to a book I have, entitled I Believe in the Holy Spirit by the Dominican theologian Fr. Yves Congar. The book is almost 700 pages long. It impressed me how much could be said about Pentecost and the Holy Spirit. Just out of curiosity I investigated how often the Holy Spirit was mentioned in the New Testament and I came up with a total of 233 times. I’m not going to try to say it all, so relax! Reading sections of the book, though, makes me realize how fortunate I am that in my job I have the opportunity and the gift to be able to read and reflect on the profound mystery of God and his presence with us in Jesus through the Spirit. (And I receive a salary for doing this! Sometimes I feel guilty taking it for something I enjoy doing so much – but then again there are enough stresses at times that make me think I shouldn’t feel guilty about taking a salary.) I am grateful to be a priest and realize that I have been greatly blessed. It just so happens that 45 years ago today I was ordained. My sister Rita, who is also one of my most avid fans, decided to have a memorial card printed for my anniversary with a prayer for priests on the back of the card. I put some on the radiators in case anyone would want one.HOMILY
I would never have survived as long as I did without the help of God’s Holy Spirit. Most of the time I was not even aware that God’s Spirit was helping me. It’s somewhat like that story of the footprints in the sand. Only as I look back do I see the movement of the Spirit keeping me sane through difficult times, giving me ideas when I couldn’t think of the right thing to say, encouraging me when my situation was overwhelming, giving me courage when I was afraid, helping me to pray when my spiritual life seemed to go dry, giving me peace when I lacked it. No wonder Jesus calls the Spirit the “Paraclete,” a word which is hard to translate but which means something like: “advocate, mediator, helper, intercessor or comforter.”
Many of us probably remember from catechism class naming the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. The fruits of the Spirit we hear about in the letter to the Galatians (second reading on Pentecost). They tend to be personal qualities such as love, joy, peace, patience, (kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, selfcontrol). The gifts of the Spirit include some personal talents but they tend to be more oriented toward building up the community of believers such as the gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, fear of the Lord, as well as the gifts of healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirit, speaking or praying in tongues, interpretation of tongues, teaching, pastoring, and a whole lot of other ways to help us in our ministry to one another. In speaking of the gifts, we cannot forget the greatest of the Spirit’s gifts which we often hear about at a wedding. St. Paul tells us the greatest of all the Spirit’s gifts is love. St. Augustine, in trying to help us to know for sure whether the Spirit dwells in us, said: “Ask your inner self, if you are full of charity, you have the Spirit of God.” (
I Believe in the Holy Spirit, vol. 2, pg 82)It’s easy to focus on the activity of the Spirit in our personal lives as the Spirit comes to us through prayer and through the sacraments. But as we celebrate Pentecost, we cannot forget on that occasion the Spirit was given to the Church to guide and direct it and to help it to grow. The Spirit came to the Apostles (and perhaps the other 120 members of the early community of believers) not just for their personal enrichment, but to send them out to all people to proclaim God’s love shown to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus. It remains our task as Church today, as a community of believers to proclaim God’s love. We do this as we gather here in faith right now, but we must also share that love and mystery with others to the extent that we are able.
Jesus encouraged us in St. Luke’s gospel to pray for the Spirit when he said: “What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy spirit to those who ask him?” (Lk. 11:11-12) Amen.

Jesus is lost in the temple.
Luke 2: 46-49
It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’

The Loss in the TempleThis was a foreshadowing of His death. Jesus died and was put in the tomb -
The Ascension - Jesus glorified goes to heaven.
If I leave Mary out of the Resurrection, it does not have the intimacy.
St. Ignatius said Jesus appeared to Mary first after the resurrection.
The Presentation in the Temple: "You too will have a pierced heart, oh Mary." Mary is the Mediatrix of all graces.
Resurrection: Jesus rose on the third day. Mary had wept outside the tomb. Since the presentation in the temple she knew of His sufferings. They shared the secret of these sufferings, silently in Their Hearts. It created such a bond between Them. The Hearts of love, constantly suffering and carrying the cross within Them. This is why the intense sorrow of Mary when Jesus was lost in the temple. She knew of the sufferings to come to some degree from the prophesy of Simeon. She knew she would suffer. How could her Son do this when They were so joined in Their Hearts. "Did you not know we would be concerned?"
Luke 2: 49 He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’
Jesus' Heart was pierced with a lance. Simeon tells Mary her heart would be pierced with a sword.
The life of the Church flows from the open side of Christ. Mary is the Mediatrix of all grace. Mary lives Simeon's prophesy. There is a union all through the Rosary between the lives of Jesus and Mary. The interaction between Their Hearts, They were one, They suffered separation. Their separation - Jesus and Mary always joined in a very deep love.
What is love? Love is in the hearts. There are deep feelings within the Heart, many times unexpressed. Mary pondered many things in her heart. There was separation, there was intimacy. Jesus comes into this world in Mary's womb. The two Hearts beat within the body of Mary. The physical life of Jesus depends on Mary. His Heart beats because of this life given to Him from her. Do we see that the existence of the Child Jesus within the womb of His Mother depended on the Heart of Mary? Does this not tell us of Mary's roll to the Father. For two of the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, we meditate on Jesus within His Mother's womb. Such oneness between Jesus and Mary. They are in the same body.
So much comes into play in each Mystery of the Rosary. We can meditate on each mystery separately. We can meditate on the mysteries in relationship to one another. We meditate on the Rosary as the Christ event.
Do we see the unseen God in the mysteries? The presence of the Father and the Holy Spirit? They walk the earth but are guarded and watched from above. The angels and saints forever present at every Mass: The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit! We see the priest, we see the host. Do we know the Almighty God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit love us so much. Mary is so closely united to Jesus? Do we see as we walk this earth the presence of the Almighty God. Jesus and Mary are on the earth for the first ten mysteries. Jesus rises from the dead in the eleventh mystery, then Jesus ascends into heaven.
Joyful: The angel appeared. Mary was chosen to be the Mother of God. The Child Jesus was formed in her womb and received His physical life support through Mary. The Heart of Jesus was formed in her womb.
Mary is the Mediatrix of all grace. The world, the Church and the individual Christian are in the state of becoming more and more in the image of Jesus. The incarnation goes on in us.
This is the mission of the Shepherds of Christ to help renew the Church and the world. To tell the Church about how important Mary's role is as Mother of the Church. Mary is our spiritual Mother.
The Holy Spirit and Mary
The late Archbishop Luis M. Martinez of Mexico strikingly speaks of the ongoing cooperation of Mary with the Holy Spirit regarding the reproduction of Jesus within us: “Christian life is the reproduction of Jesus in souls…
“Now, how will this mystical reproduction be brought about in souls? In the same way in which Jesus was brought into the world, for God gives a wonderful mark of unity to all His works. Divine acts have a wealth of variety because they are the work of omnipotence; nevertheless, a most perfect unity always shines forth from them because they are the fruit of wisdom; and this divine contrast of unity and variety stamps the works of God with sublime and unutterable beauty.
“In His miraculous birth, Jesus was the fruit of heaven and earth…The Holy Spirit conveyed the divine fruitfulness of the Father to Mary, and the virginal soil brought forth in an ineffable manner our most loving Savior, the divine Seed, as the prophets called Him…
“That is the way He is reproduced in souls. He is always the fruit of heaven and earth.
“Two artisans must concur in the work that is at once God’s masterpiece and humanity’s supreme product: the Holy Spirit and the most holy Virgin Mary. Two sanctifiers are necessary to souls, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, for they are the only ones who can reproduce Christ.
“Undoubtedly, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary sanctify us in different ways. The first is the Sanctifier by essence; because He is God, who is infinite sanctity; because He is the personal Love that completes, so to speak, the sanctity of God, consummating His life and His unity, and it belongs to Him to communicate to souls the mystery of that sanctity. The Virgin Mary, for her part, is the co-operator, the indispensable instrument in and by God’s design. From Mary’s maternal relation to the human body of Christ is derived her relation to His Mystical Body which is being formed through all the centuries until the end of time, when it will be lifted up to the heavens, beautiful, splendid, complete, and glorious.
“These two, then, the Holy Spirit and Mary, are the indispensable artificers of Jesus, the indispensable sanctifiers of souls. Any saint in heaven can co-operate in the sanctification of a soul, but his co-operation is not necessary, not profound, not constant: while the co-operation of these two artisans of Jesus of whom we have just been speaking is so necessary that without it souls are not sanctified (and this by the actual design of Providence), and so intimate that it reaches to the very depths of our soul. For the Holy Spirit pours charity into our heart, makes a habitation of our soul, and directs our spiritual life by means of His gifts. The Virgin Mary has the efficacious influence of Mediatrix in the most profound and delicate operations of grace in our souls. And, finally, the action of the Holy Spirit and the co-operation of the most holy Virgin Mary are constant; without them, not one single character of Jesus would be traced on our souls, no virtue grow, no gift be developed, no grace increased, no bond of union with God be strengthened in the rich flowering of the spiritual life.
“Such is the place that the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary have in the order of sanctification. Therefore, Christian piety should put these two artisans of Christ in their true place, making devotion to them something necessary, profound, and constant.” The Sanctifier, op. cit. pp. 5-7.

Joyful Mysteries
R. The Intimacy between Jesus and Mary, study the interaction between Jesus and Mary, between His Heart and her Heart, it is the secret to the Mysteries of the Rosary, the relationship between Jesus and Mary.
Jesus is in the womb of the Virgin for the first two mysteries. How intimate is this! The incarnation goes on in us - That we live as imitators of Christ. Living the Father's will in love. Following Jesus' example of how to live more fully as the Father intends - likened to Christ. Dwelling in her Immaculate Heart our spiritual womb, as the Holy Spirit forms us more and more in that image of Jesus.
A child being born from His Mother, suckling at the breast - this is so intimate! The child being carried in her arms to the temple - the intimacy, seeing a Mother carry her child!
From this moment on there is such intimacy as They share the secret. Mary being told by Simeon of the sufferings to come. Look at the faces of Mary holding the child - Our Lady of Perpetual Help, etc. Jesus, the Son of God, in her arms.
Finding in the Temple: Separation between Mother and Child. This is a foreshadowing in her Heart of the final suffering to come. "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety." His Mother kept all these things in her Heart.
Jesus received His physical life from Mary. The Father's Plan for Jesus, His Son, to be incarnate in the womb of Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit.
For two mysteries of the rosary the two Hearts beat as in one body. Jesus receives His life from Mary's Heart.
In the third mystery, the umbilical cord is cut, but Mary is the chief life support for Jesus through her milk.
Jesus is our Savior.
Sing: A Song from Jesus
It is through the pierced Heart of Jesus the sacramental life of the Church was formed. Water for baptism - blood for the Eucharist.
Under the cross Jesus gives to us His beloved Mother. Simeon told Mary in the temple, "A sword too shall pierce your Heart, oh Mary."
Jesus died and rose for us. We receive a sharing in His life in baptism. God gives us the Church. Jesus nurtures this life with the Eucharist.
Mary gave to Jesus life in her body. He received His life support in Mary's body in the womb. Grace flows to us from the Church. Mary is Mother of the Church.
Jesus: I give you Myself. You wonder aimlessly about this earth, searching for only that which I can give you. I am your beloved. I am the way, the truth and the life. Only in Me will you find what you need.
R. When I see the relationship in the rosary between Jesus and Mary, it is these experiences that give me such a burning love for Them.
Mary said few words - "Do as He asks"
I got the impression much of Their communication was in a deep love. She pondered these things in her heart. This indicates how she carried much inside. I see Mary, living to please the Father, to live by His will in love.
Luke 1: 46-55
And Mary said:
My soul proclaims
the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
from their thrones
and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
of Israel his servant,
mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 | ||

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |

Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts. — Cycle A (partial) Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10 |
