November 20, 2021 continues

                R. I need to bring every minute,
                    hour to Jesus.

                I need to trust in Him –
                    He knows everything.
                    God loves me.

                Relax, let go, focus on the
                    job at hand, the people
                    we are with now,
                    what God's plan is
                    for me – right now.
 

There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven: 

A time for giving birth, 
a time for dying; 
a time for planting, 
a time for uprooting what has been planted. 
A time for killing, 
a time for healing; 
a time for knocking down, 
a time for building. 
A time for tears, 
a time for laughter; 
a time for mourning, 
a time for dancing. 
A time for throwing stones away, 
a time for gathering them; 
a time for embracing, 
a time to refrain from embracing. 
A time for searching, 
a time for losing; 
a time for keeping, 
a time for discarding. 
A time for tearing, 
a time for sewing; 
a time for keeping silent, 
a time for speaking. 
A time for loving, 
a time for hating; 
a time for war, 
a time for peace. 

    What do people gain from the efforts they make? I contemplate the task that God gives humanity to labour at. All that he does is apt for its time; but although he has given us an awareness of the passage of time, we can grasp neither the beginning nor the end of what God does.

                R. Dear Jesus,

                    Be with me all day – Help me to
                        live in You all day –
                        operate in me Jesus –
                        now, please, I love You.

                    Help me to see the beauty of
                        this day. Help me to see
                        the possibilities in
                        my life. Help me to
                        have a positive attitude.
                        Help me to love and work
                        with others doing what
                        You want me to do.

                    Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place
                        my trust in Thee.

                    Dear God, help me to do what
                        You want, give me
                        courage to face the
                        difficult, help me to face
                        the sacrifices, even when
                        painful and offer them up
                        as prayers to You. Help
                        me to bear the trials in
                        my life as I should.

                    Dear God, help me live in
                        the truth, have integrity,
                        be honest and loving and
                        be just, live virtuously
                        in all things.
                        Live compassionately
                        toward others, not
                        be selfish, but as
                        You desire.

                    I love You, Jesus!

                R. There are those that will be
                    born today, those that will
                    die.

                Think of all that is going on
                    in a hospital.

                Our life is like a blank page –
                    we can meet the challenges
                    of life or go astray and
                    do our own thing.

                Why should one on their
                    death bed face the reality
                    of how they should have
                    lived?

                Look at the good thief and
                    the bad thief – they
                    had a free will.

                Sing: Jesus, Remember Me

                There is pain and joy in our lives.
                    We must learn to face whatever
                        we need to face.

                    We as Christians have Jesus,
                        this means we can have
                        joy – even in deep suffering
                        because Jesus is there.

                Jesus came to give us the
                    Good News.

                Our happiness is in God.

                God intends us to be happy
                    here below, loving
                    Him and others, working
                    as one, being with
                    each other.

                God gives us the beauties of
                    the earth –

                R. God gives us our faces to
                    show smiles and
                    to communicate with
                    our eyes, to laugh
                    with our hearts, to
                    shake hands and hug.

                We can miss the joy of
                    just having friends.

                Live every moment and trust
                    in God, don't try to
                    fix things for control
                    before they even happen or
                    to reject suffering of
                    waiting when waiting is
                    necessary for the best solution.

                With gratefulness and love –
                    thank God – He has what
                    we need and He is
                    taking care of our needs
                    if we let Him many times
                    and pray about it and
                    get out of the way.

                The Baptism of Jesus

                1) Isaiah 45: 6-8

so that it may be known from east to west
that there is no one except me.
I am Yahweh, and there is no other,
I form the light and I create the darkness,
I make well–being, and I create disaster,
I, Yahweh, do all these things. 

Rain down, you heavens, from above,
and let the clouds pour down
    saving justice,
let the earth open up
    and blossom with salvation,
and let justice sprout with it;
I, Yahweh, have created it!

Who foretold this in the past,
who revealed it long ago?
Was it not I, Yahweh?
There is no other god except me,

By my own self I swear it;
what comes from my mouth
    is saving justice,
it is an irrevocable word:
All shall bend the knee to me,
by me every tongue shall swear,
saying, ‘In Yahweh alone

until all those who used to rage at him
come to him in shame.
In Yahweh the whole race of Israel
finds justice and glory.}

                4) Jesus began His public life
                    with John the Baptist
                    at the Jordon.

                5) The sky was thrown open –
                    The voice of the Father was
                    heard. The Holy Spirit appeared
                    above Jesus' head.

                6) The voice said "This is my beloved
                    Son in whom I am well pleased."

                7) God the Father showed His endorsement
                    of His Son Jesus.

                8) We are given so many blessings
                    from God.

                9) God is light and in Him is no
                    darkness.

                10) Jesus is the Savior of the world.
                    John the Baptist prepared the
                        way for Jesus. They were
                        cousins.

                The Marriage at Cana

                1) Jesus performed His first public
                    miracle at the wedding at
                    Cana.

                2) We see Mary's powerful intercession.

                3) Jesus changed water into wine.

                4) The Mass is the sacrifice of
                    Calvary, sacramentally
                    made present.

                6) Jesus performed many miracles
                    after this one in His
                    public life.

                7) Matthew 16: 18-19

So I now say to you: you are Peter and on this rock I will build my community. And the gates of the underworld can never overpower it. ^{I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven: whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.’}

                10) Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

    I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

    I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

    When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

                The Kingdom of God

And at once he made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side while he sent the crowds away. After sending the crowds away he went up into the hills by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, while the boat, by now some furlongs from land, was hard pressed by rough waves, for there was a head–wind. In the fourth watch of the night he came towards them, walking on the sea, and when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified. ‘It is a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear. But at once Jesus called out to them, saying, ‘Courage! It’s me! Don’t be afraid.’ It was Peter who answered. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘if it is you, tell me to come to you across the water.’ Jesus said, ‘Come.’ Then Peter got out of the boat and started walking towards Jesus across the water, but then noticing the wind, he took fright and began to sink. ‘Lord,’ he cried, ‘save me!’ Jesus put out his hand at once and held him. ‘You have so little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’ And as they got into the boat the wind dropped. The men in the boat bowed down before him and said, ‘Truly, you are the Son of God.’

As he was walking by the Lake of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon, who was called Peter, and his brother Andrew; they were making a cast into the lake with their net, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, ‘Come after me and I will make you fishers of people.’

The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother and say to him, ‘We have found the Messiah’—which means the Christ— and he took Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, ‘You are Simon son of John; you are to be called Cephas’—which means Rock.

                The Transfiguration

                1) Mark 9: 2-8

Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, ‘Rabbi,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.

                    was heard.

                5) They were filled with
                    such awe to see
                    Jesus transfigured.

                6) The Father said "Listen to
                    Him."

                7) The Father showed His
                    endorsement of
                    His Son, Jesus.

                8) When we are living like
                    Jesus, we please
                    the Father.

                9) These are the Mysteries of Light.
