Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Today's Readings
Daniel 2: 31-45
'You have had a vision, Your Majesty; this is what you saw: a statue, a great statue of extreme brightness, stood before you, terrible to see. The head of this statue was of fine gold, its chest and arms were of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet part iron, part clay. While you were gazing, a stone broke away, untouched by any hand, and struck the statue, struck its feet of iron and clay and shattered them. Then, iron and clay, bronze, silver and gold, all broke into pieces as fine as chaff on the threshing-floor in summer. The wind blew them away, leaving not a trace behind. And the stone that had struck the statue grew into a great mountain, filling the whole world. This was the dream; we shall now explain to the king what it means.
'You, Your Majesty, king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given sovereignty, power, strength and honour – human beings, wild animals, birds of the air, wherever they live, he has entrusted to your rule, making you king of them all – you are the golden head. And, after you, another kingdom will rise, not as great as yours, and then a third, of bronze, which will rule the whole world. There will be a fourth kingdom, hard as iron, as iron that pulverises and crushes all. Like iron that breaks everything to pieces, it will crush and break all the earlier kingdoms. The feet you saw, part earthenware, part iron, are a kingdom which will be split in two, but which will retain something of the strength of iron, just as you saw the iron and the clay of the earthenware mixed together. The feet were part iron, part potter's clay: the kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. And just as you saw the iron and the clay of the earthenware mixed together, so the two will be mixed together in human seed; but they will not hold together any more than iron will blend with clay. In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and this kingdom will not pass into the hands of another race: it will shatter and absorb all the previous kingdoms and itself last for ever – just as you saw a stone, untouched by hand, break away from the mountain and reduce iron, bronze, earthenware, silver and gold to powder. The Great God has shown the king what is to take place. The dream is true, the interpretation exact.'
Daniel 3: 57-61
Bless the Lord, all the Lord's creation:
praise and glorify him for ever!
Bless the Lord, angels of the Lord,
praise and glorify him for ever!
Bless the Lord, heavens,
praise and glorify him for ever!
Bless the Lord, all the waters
above the heavens
praise and glorify him for ever!
Bless the Lord, powers of the Lord,
praise and glorify him for ever!
Luke 21: 5-11
When some were talking about the Temple, remarking how it was adorned with fine stonework and votive offerings, he said, ‘All these things you are staring at now—the time will come when not a single stone will be left on another; everything will be destroyed.’ And they put to him this question, ‘Master,’ they said, ‘when will this happen, then, and what sign will there be that it is about to take place?’
But he said, ‘Take care not to be deceived, because many will come using my name and saying, "I am the one" and "The time is near at hand." Refuse to join them. And when you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be terrified, for this is something that must happen first, but the end will not come at once.’ Then he said to them, ‘Nation will fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes and plagues and famines in various places; there will be terrifying events and great signs from heaven.
November 25, 1994 - Let the Holy Spirit Mold You into My Image
Jesus: I am Jesus, your beloved Savior. The Father loves you so much, My dear little ones, that He gave His only Son that you might have life and have it abundantly. I loved you, My precious ones. I was born a mere Human. I gave Myself, My Body and Blood for love of you. My Mother suffered by My side. She loves you with the most tender love. The Holy Spirit loves you with such love. He is forever ready to mold you more deeply into My image and lead you to greater love with the Father!
Oh, little loved ones, do you not see the love I pour out to you? I remain with you this very day in the Eucharist, no less present than the day I was carried in Mary's womb, no less present than the day I walked this earth. I remain with you, I come to you and give you Myself, I give you My Life in My Divinity and Humanity. I come into your body. This is the Sacrament of My greatest love - I give Myself to you in the Eucharist.
Oh, sweet ones, My Heart is open and on fire. See My Heart totally open and ablaze for love of you. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the tenderest of all hearts I long and thirst for your love. I wait for you, My little ones, to come and receive Me in the Eucharist. I sit endless hours waiting for the souls I love to come and be with Me in front of the tabernacle.
My soul thirsts for the love of souls. I pour out My most tender love to you in the Eucharist. I long, I wait, I yearn for your love, My precious sweet ones. Oh, you do not know how My Heart suffered during My Passion for the souls that would reject Me and treat Me so coldly. The agonies I endured to love so much and be forgotten by so many souls I love so dearly!
Oh, I cry out with a loud voice so that you will listen to My pleading. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I am on fire for love of you this day. As your body requires nourishment, your souls are fed by Me. I am the Bread of Life, he who comes to Me will never be hungry. He who believes in Me will never thirst. I give you My very flesh to nourish you. I give you My very Blood. I give you, My dear ones, My very self.
R. What can you get on this earth that can compare to God, truly present and dwelling with you? How much do you comprehend that God comes to you and enters your body in the Sacrament of the Eucharist? Do you realize what transpires at Mass? Bread and wine are changed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, through the hands of His specially anointed priest. Do you cry to realize what is happening at Mass? God is truly present. Jesus is no less present than the day He hung on the cross, dying for love of you.
Jesus: I would die this day for you, My dear ones. I love, I love, I love. I am Love. You look, you wander, you roam.
November 25, 1994 - Thanksgiving Day - After Communion
Be Lost in the Heart of Jesus
Jesus: Let go and totally surrender. Trust Me. You can let go totally. There is always a holding back, not to let go totally, to protect yourself from being hurt. I will never forsake you. I will never abandon you. Totally release yourself into My loving Heart. Let go, total surrender, let go, let go, let go to My love. Be lost in the Heart of Jesus!
Messenger: There is nothing to fear in loving God. Total trust, total surrender, totally letting go to His love. He gave His Life for you - do you think you can't trust Him?
Jesus: You are never alone. Be wrapped in the immensity of My love. As your heart beats, My love is always there, it never leaves. As you breathe, My love is always there, I never take My love from you for a second. Have constant intense union with Me. Have constant realization of My immense Presence with you. My love does not flicker, it is a roaring furnace that burns for you.
Messenger: I want to let go of self. I want to be molded more and more into the image of Jesus. I want to be as He intends me to be. Dear God saturate me with Your grace. I want to know Your presence within me. I want to be as the Father intended me to be.

(1) Isaiah 42: 1-4, 6-7
First song of the servant
Here is my servant whom I uphold,
my chosen one
in whom my soul delights.
I have sent my spirit upon him,
he will bring fair judgement to the nations.
He does not cry out or raise his voice,
his voice is not heard in the street;
he does not break the crushed reed
or snuff the faltering wick.
Faithfully he presents fair judgement;
he will not grow faint,
he will not be crushed
until he has established
fair judgement on earth,
and the coasts and islands
are waiting for his instruction.I, Yahweh, have called you
in saving justice,
I have grasped you by the hand
and shaped you;
I have made you a covenant of the people
and light to the nations,
to open the eyes of the blind,
to free captives from prison,
and those who live in darkness
from the dungeon.
(2) Isaiah 52: 13 - 53: 12
Fourth song of the servant
Look, my servant will prosper,
will grow great, will rise to great heights.
As many people were aghast at him
—he was so inhumanly disfigured
that he no longer looked like a man—
so many nations will be astonished
and kings will stay tight–lipped
before him,
seeing what had never been told them,
learning what they had not heard before.
Who has given credence
to what we have heard?
And who has seen in it
a revelation of Yahweh’s arm?
Like a sapling he grew up before him,
like a root in arid ground.
He had no form or charm to attract us,
no beauty to win our hearts;
he was despised, the lowest of men,
a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering,
one from whom, as it were,
we averted our gaze,
despised, for whom we had no regard.
Yet ours were the sufferings
he was bearing,
ours the sorrows he was carrying,
while we thought of him
as someone being punished
and struck with affliction by God;
whereas he was being wounded
for our rebellions,
crushed because of our guilt;
the punishment reconciling us fell on him,
and we have been healed by his bruises.
We had all gone astray like sheep,
each taking his own way,
and Yahweh brought the acts of rebellion
of all of us to bear on him.
Ill-treated and afflicted,
he never opened his mouth,
like a lamb led to the slaughter-house,
like a sheep dumb before its shearers
he never opened his mouth.
Forcibly, after sentence, he was taken.
Which of his contemporaries
was concerned
at his having been cut off
from the land of the living,
at his having been struck dead
for his people’s rebellion?
He was given a grave with the wicked,
and his tomb is with the rich,
although he had done no violence,
had spoken no deceit.
It was Yahweh’s good pleasure
to crush him with pain;
if he gives his life as a sin offering,
he will see his offspring
and prolong his life,
and through him
Yahweh’s good pleasure will be done.
After the ordeal he has endured,
he will see the light and be content.
By his knowledge, the upright one,
my servant will justify many
by taking their guilt on himself.
Hence I shall give him a portion
with the many,
and he will share the booty
with the mighty,
for having exposed himself to death
and for being counted
as one of the rebellious,
whereas he was bearing the sin of many
and interceding for the rebellious.
(3) Isaiah 49: 1-6
Second song of the servant
Coasts and islands, listen to me,
pay attention, distant peoples.
Yahweh called me when I was in the womb,
before my birth
he had pronounced my name.
He made my mouth like a sharp sword,
he hid me in the shadow of his hand.
He made me into a sharpened arrow
and concealed me in his quiver.
He said to me, ‘Israel, you are my servant,
through whom I shall manifest my glory.’
But I said, ‘My toil has been futile,
I have exhausted myself for nothing,
to no purpose.’
Yet all the while
my cause was with Yahweh
and my reward with my God.
And now Yahweh has spoken,
who formed me in the womb
to be his servant,
to bring Jacob back to him
and to re–unite Israel to him;
—I shall be honoured in Yahweh’s eyes,
and my God has been my strength.—
He said, ‘It is not enough for you
to be my servant,
to restore the tribes of Jacob
and bring back the survivors of Israel;
I shall make you a light to the nations
so that my salvation may reach
the remotest parts of earth.
(4) Isaiah 50: 4-7
Third song of the servant
Lord Yahweh has given me
a disciple’s tongue,
for me to know how to give
a word of comfort to the weary.
Morning by morning
he makes my ear alert
to listen like a disciple.
Lord Yahweh has opened my ear
and I have not resisted,
I have not turned away.
I have offered my back
to those who struck me,
my cheeks to those
who plucked my beard;
I have not turned my face away
from insult and spitting.
Lord Yahweh comes to my help,
this is why insult has not touched me,
this is why I have set my face like flint
and know that I shall not
be put to shame.
(5) Luke 3: 15-16, 21-22
A feeling of expectancy had grown among the people, who were beginning to wonder whether John might be the Christ, so John declared before them all, ‘I baptise you with water, but someone is coming, who is more powerful than me, and I am not fit to undo the strap of his sandals; he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Now it happened that when all the people had been baptised and while Jesus after his own baptism was at prayer, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in a physical form, like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, ‘You are my Son; today have I fathered you.’

I am well pleased."

Baptism of the Lord - January 10, 2016 (excerpt)
Our Father we say reminds us of this - we have been made children of God. Every time we bless ourselves with holy water as we enter church, we are reminded that we have been cleansed of our sins and the life giving water that comes from the Spirit has been poured into our hearts. I think Jesus’ baptism was also meant to teach us by example how important baptism is for us - for through it eternal life is opened up to us. The importance of baptism is stressed also in a conversation Jesus had with the Pharisee, Nicodemus, when he said: “unless a person be born again (or born from above) he or she cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven.”HOMILY - ... John’s baptism was only a symbol. It did nothing to make a person change. Jesus, however, gave us a baptism that is a great deal more than a symbol; it is a sacrament and it has the power to truly make us clean and to fill us with new life. When we are baptized we are truly born again, we are freed of all sin, and we actually become God’s children because we share his life. Every

Baptism of the Lord - January 10, 2016 (excerpt)
We cannot conclude without stressing one last meaning Jesus’ baptism has for us. The baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist was at the beginning of Jesus’ saving work. So in baptism we are called to participate in Jesus’ work of salvation in whatever way we can and to the extent that our talents allow us. Certainly this participation includes prayer for ourselves and for others. It surely means being a loving spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling or friend. It may mean anything from being alert to doing simple acts of kindness to dedicating our whole lives to helping others. Only we can sense what God is calling us to do as his sons and daughters. Just remember, when we were baptized, God said to each of us: “you are my beloved son or daughter; with you I am well pleased.” May we live up to the dignity that Jesus allows us to share with him. Amen.
Wedding at Cana
(1) John 2: 1-10
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’ There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.’ They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said, ‘Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.’

(9) (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS. XXXV, 232-233)
Through the Eucharistic Sacrifice Christ the Lord desired to set before us in a very special way this remarkable union whereby we are united one with another and with our divine Head, a union that no word of praise can ever sufficiently express. For in this sacrifice the sacred ministers act not only as the representative of our Saviour, but as the representative of the whole Mystical Body and of each one of the faithful. Again, in this act of sacrifice, the faithful of Christ, united by the common bond of devotion and prayer, offer to the eternal Father through the hands of the priest, whose prayer alone has made it present on the altar, the Immaculate Lamb, the most acceptable victim of praise and propitiation for the Churchs universal need. Moreover, just as the divine Redeemer, while dying on the Cross, offered Himself to the eternal Father as Head of the whole human race, so now, in this clean oblation He not only offers Himself as Head of the Church to His heavenly Father but in Himself His mystical members as well. He embraces them all, yes, even the weaker and more ailing members, with the deepest love of His Heart.
(10) A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.
Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.
Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.

Kingdom of God
(1) Revelation 19: 1-10
Songs of victory in heaven
After this I heard what
seemed to be the great sound of a huge crowd in heaven, singing,
‘Alleluia! Salvation and glory and power to our God! He judges
fairly, he punishes justly, and he has condemned the great
prostitute who corrupted the earth with her prostitution; he has
avenged the blood of his servants which she shed.’ And again
they sang, ‘Alleluia! The smoke of her will rise for
ever and ever.’ Then the twenty–four elders and the four
living creatures threw themselves down and worshipped God seated
on his throne, and they cried, ‘Amen, Alleluia.’
Then a voice came from the throne; it said, ‘Praise our
God, you servants of his and those who fear him, small and
great alike.’ And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a
huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the great roar of
thunder, answering, ‘Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God
Almighty has begun; let us be glad and joyful and give glory to
God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb. His
bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in
dazzling white linen, because her linen is made of the good
deeds of the saints.’ The angel said, ‘Write this, "Blessed are
those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb," ’ and
he added, ‘These words of God are true.’ Then I knelt at his
feet to worship him, but he said to me, ‘Never do that: I am
your fellow–servant and the fellow–servant of all your brothers
who have in themselves the witness of Jesus. God alone you must
worship.’ The witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

(3) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
November 20, 2016Christ the King -
INTRODUCTION
– (2 Samuel 5,1-3; Colossians 1,12-20; Luke 23,35-43) To better understand our readings, we have to begin when the Jews arrived at the Promised Land. After Moses died, God chose others who would lead his people in the ways of righteousness. These leaders, such as, Joshua, Samson, Deborah, Gideon and Samuel, were called Judges. When the Hebrews observed that neighboring nations were ruled by kings, they thought if they had a king they would be more powerful. God then gave them permission to have a king to lead them, the first king being King Saul. When Saul was killed in battle, the kingdom became divided into two parts, a northern and a southern part. David ruled in the south; King Saul’s son, Ishbaal, ruled in the north. Ishbaal proved to be incapable of leading, so after a few years, the northern tribes turned to David and asked him to rule them also. This is where our first reading comes in. David was a brilliant and far-sighted military and political leader. David was able to conquer his enemies on all sides. In spite of serious moral misbehavior, for which he repented, the Jews always hoped for another king with David’s talents and capabilities. Many kings came to the throne in the years following David, but none could match David’s capabilities. Solomon, David’s son and successor, bankrupted the nation. When he died, the northern part of Israel rebelled and established their own kingdom. It lasted a couple of hundred years and then it was destroyed by the Assyrians in 722 BC. The southern kingdom lasted twice that long and, for over 400 years, one of David’s descendants was king. In 587 BC the Babylonians invaded and destroyed the south and killed the Hebrews who they did not take into exile. The Babylonians ruled for another 50 years until the Persians defeated them. The Persians allowed the Jews still living in Babylon to return to Israel. But the Jews remained subjects of the Persians, who were eventually overcome by the Greeks, who were eventually overcome by the Romans. The kingship never returned to the Jews, but their longing for their own king remained strong through many centuries, even up to the time of WW II. Today we honor Jesus as the one God sent who would rule, not only the Jews, but who would rule the entire world. He would not be like other earthly kings, but he would rule eternally - guiding God’s people by his spiritual presence until the day he comes again in glory.(4) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
Christ the King -
November 20, 2016– Today is the feast of Christ the King. In spite of the fact that our country operates as a democracy and not a monarchy and that our ancestors fought to get free from being under the rule of a king, we need to remember that there is One who remains supreme over all of us, one who will always rule over us, our God. He does not rule with guns or ships or planes or bombs; he rules with love. His authority comes from the fact that he is the creator of all things. If he had not given us life, there would be no life. Our God, who is supreme, is not like any other ruler, power or king – even though we call him a king. The proof that he is entirely different is revealed to us in today’s gospel. There we heard about Jesus who, having been tortured and stripped and nailed to a cross, had a sign above his head identifying who he is: Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews. It doesn’t say he had been the king of the Jews; it doesn’t say he called himself the king of the Jews. It just says he is the king of the Jews. This had been publicly and officially proclaimed by no lesser person than the chief officer and representative of the powerful Roman Empire. No one would dare contradict Pontius Pilate, the governor of that province.HOMILY
Our first reading today tells us how the northern kingdom of Israel chose David as their king 1,000 years before Christ. This is significant because God promised David through his prophet Nathan that one of David’s descendants would always be king of the Jews. The Babylonians put an end to that after 400 years as I said in my introduction, but it was only temporary because now again the Jews (and the rest of us too) are ruled by a descendant of David, Jesus, Son of David, and we will be under his rule forever. The sign says it all: Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews - king of all people.
He is a unique king, not concerned with grabbing power
for himself but concerned about using his power to help and heal people,
to teach and feed people, to save people from the power of evil and show
them how to live in a way that pleases God. His forgiveness of the good
thief (this day you will be with me in paradise) shows us the kind of
king we have. Today we honor Jesus as our Lord and King, and we ask that
we may be a part of his heavenly kingdom forever. Amen.
(5) Colossians 1: 12-20
giving thanks with joy to the Father who has made you able to share the lot of God's holy people and with them to inherit the light.
Because that is what he has done. It is he who has rescued us from the ruling force of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son that he loves, and in him we enjoy our freedom, the forgiveness of sin.
He is the image of the unseen God,
the first–born of all creation,
for in him were created all things
in heaven and on earth:
everything visible
and everything invisible,
thrones, ruling forces,
sovereignties, powers—
all things were created through him
and for him.
He exists before all things
and in him all things hold together,
and he is the Head of the Body,
that is, the Church.
He is the Beginning,
the first–born from the dead,
so that he should be supreme in every way;
because God wanted all fullness
to be found in him
and through him
to reconcile all things to him,
everything in heaven
and everything on earth,
by making peace through his death
on the cross.

(7) May 16, 1998 - Prayer to the Father
My Father,
With my whole heart I desire to consecrate the whole world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I wish with my whole being for the salvation of souls and that man live according to Thy Holy Will. I pray my Father that we may be one in You and Your Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit that we may intercede to You for this cause.
It is this burning desire within my soul to spread the consecration to the far ends of the earth, that the cries of Your children are cries of glory and honor and adoration, praising God as their God.
My Father, at this moment a soul hangs on the edge of death. For all eternity they will go to a place. It is not the plot of this soul as it trods this barren land to decide on the edge of death. You created us that we would grow in our oneness with God, that we would mature more and more in our image and likeness to God.
And so My Father, I pray with every cell in my body for this earth. In the name of Your Son Jesus I consecrate all the souls of this earth to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the Holy Spirit in union with the Holy sacrifice of the Mass with all the angels and saints and the souls in Purgatory.
I beg You Father for mercy.
I beg You Father for assistance.
I beg You Father to help us to spread this consecration to the far ends of the earth. Please help us. We are helpless little ones coming in the heart of our Mother, bleeding from our wounds and our sins.
Your Son, Jesus Christ, shed the last drop of His Blood for the salvation of mankind. We wish to unite in this sacrifice, sacramentally made present in the Mass all over the world at every moment. Help us to make reparation to You for the sins of men.
Please my Father, help us. Held in the heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus we come as the children of Eve to beg for the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the Triumph of Mary's heart. Look upon our love, Your shepherds in the Shepherds of Christ, our sacrifices and devotion to You Our Beloved Father. Come by the means of the Holy Spirit and sanctify us and make us whole, that we are one in Your Son Jesus, praying to You, Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus in the Holy Spirit united with all the angels and saints, in the heart of Mary. We beg for help for special intentions concerning the Movement. We beg for help to reach the Churches to give these prayers of Jesus to them, to reach the schools and the family. Help we cry as poor banished children of Eve. Help us Father to do this work the Good Shepherd has entrusted to us. Help us to be one in You that we act as intercessors to help this world to be turned to God as their God, loving, honoring and adoring Him as the Lord of Host is truly present on His throne.
We are Your children Father, we implore You to answer our prayer.
We love You, we worship You, we adore You, we thank you and we sing from the bottom of our hearts, Holy God we Praise Your Name. Alleluia end of prayer to the Father
(8) Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
(9) Act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.
(10) Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
The Transfiguration
(1) Mark 9: 2-8
Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, ‘Rabbi,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.
(2) Matthew 3: 17
And suddenly there was a voice from heaven,
‘This is my
Son, the
Beloved; my favour rests on him.’
(3) February 23, 1997 - Sacrifice
When I go to Mass I offer a sacrifice. God wants our all. He wants to be first in our life. He asked Abraham to sacrifice his son.
Gen. 22:1-2, 9-13, 15-18:
It happened some time later that God put Abraham to the test. "Abraham, Abraham!" he called. "Here I am," he replied. God said, "Take your son, your only son, your beloved Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, where you are to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I shall point out to you.
When they arrived at the place which God had indicated to him, Abraham built an altar there, and arranged the wood. Then he bound his son and put him on the altar on top of the wood. Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to kill his son.
But the angel of Yahweh called to him from heaven. "Abraham, Abraham!" he said. "Here I am," he replied. Do not raise your hand against the boy," the angel said. "Do not harm him, for now I know you fear God. You have not refused me your own beloved son." Then looking up, Abraham saw a ram caught by its horns in a bush. Abraham took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.
The angel of Yahweh called Abraham a second time from heaven. "I swear by my own self, Yahweh declares, that because you have done this, because you have not refused me your own beloved son, I will shower blessings on you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will gain possession of the gates of their enemies. All nations on earth will bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed my command.
The Father gave His Son for us. This is how great the Father's love is for us.
When we go to the altar many times we are suffering. We want something really bad, but we know we love God the most. What the Father asks for us is to offer that which we are so attached to as a sacrifice, united to the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. If we offer this sacrifice to Him, the Father will pour out blessings that will be divine blessings, greater than anything we could have here on earth.
The Mass is the perfect sacrifice we offer to the Father, in which God pours out His blessings and we are one with Him and with all others in a profound expression of love. God shares His divine love with us and we partake in an intense way in His divine loving capacity. In order to become one in Him and to feel His love like this, we must surrender ourselves and be open.
He told Abraham to offer his son. God gave him his son back. He wanted Abraham to love God above all things and people.
Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice to the Father. This is the most pleasing sacrifice to the Father. If He gave His Son Who died for love of us, will He deny us when we unite our petitions with Jesus and offer these at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?
He took them to the highest mountain and He was transfigured before them in the greatest light.
Mark 9:2-10:
Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, "Rabbi," he said, "it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, "This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him." Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.
As they were coming down from the mountain he warned them to tell no one what they had seen, until after the Son of man had risen from the dead. They observed the warning faithfully, though among themselves they discussed what 'rising from the dead' could mean.
We go to the altar of sacrifice. The mountain to come, in which so many graces will flow, is the altar of sacrifice where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered through the hands of consecrated priests.
We hear the Father say, "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, listen to Him." He is speaking to us. He is the Word. He is speaking in these messages. He is unveiling the Scriptures and speaking to us in plain talk. This is a great gift He is giving to us.
We are transformed in the Mass. We unite with the greatest sacrifice offered in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We have the most perfect sacrifice to offer to the Father when we offer this sacrifice. He gives us great blessings. We die to ourselves, we become white.
We must unite all of our sacrifices to this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being said all over the world. This is the greatest way to magnify all of our offerings - by uniting everything we do as an offering, a sacrifice to the Father in union with His Son.
(4) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
Second Sunday of Lent - February 21, 2016
INTRODUCTION – (Gen. 15,5-12.17-18; Phil, 3,20-4,1; Luke 9,28b-36) Abram, whose name was later changed to Abraham, lived almost 4000 years ago. God had already inspired him to migrate to the Land of Canaan and leave behind his home in southern Iraq (referred to in today’s first reading as: Ur of the Caldeans). Today we hear God make two promises to Abram. 1) He would have so many descendants they could not be counted and 2) someday his descendants would occupy the entire land of Canaan. As a proof that these promises would be fulfilled, God gave Abram a sign, a sign which consisted of a covenant ritual, a ritual that was a common practice in the culture of those times. Those participating in the covenant could be simply two individuals making a deal between themselves all the way up to a treaty between several nations. This ritual involved cutting an animal in half and then the participants would walk between the halves. It was a symbolic way of saying, “may the same thing happen to me as to what happened to this animal if I am unfaithful to my promise.” Recall that God is often represented as light and/or fire in the Scriptures and in today’s first reading, only God, symbolized as fire and light, moved between the two halves of the animals. The meaning of this was that God was not asking Abram to do anything in return for God’s favor except to always believe God would be faithful to his promises and that Abram would die a rich man in terms of land, offspring and God’s blessings. In the psalm that follows, we express our own trust in God as our light and our salvation.” The ecstatic experience we hear about Abram in today’s first reading is meant to prepare us for the account of Jesus’ transfiguration, when his glory was revealed to Peter, James and John on Mt. Tabor.
(5) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
Second Sunday of Lent - February 21, 2016
– The account of the transfiguration in Luke’s gospel begins with chapter nine, verse 28. I want to begin my homily with verse 22, just six verses earlier. In verse 22 Jesus speaks, for the first time, of his suffering, death and resurrection. Then Jesus warns his apostles that their life as his followers will be very challenging. Luke tells us that about eight days after these warnings, Jesus took Peter, James and John up a mountain to pray. I want everyone to notice that the transfiguration is so closely tied in with Jesus’ prediction of his passion and death.HOMILY
How often do we hear a time reference between two events? Hardly ever. So this is important to mention – that Jesus’ transfiguration happened just a few days after he warned the apostles that he would suffer greatly at the hands of the Jewish leaders. On a very mundane level, this time sequence describes our own lives, sometimes things are going well, sometimes life is really the pits. That pattern repeats itself day after day, month after month, year after year our whole lifetime. With Jesus, however, it ends on a positive note. For Jesus, all his suffering and rejection ended with his rising from death to eternal life and his ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven. Our own lives are not nearly so dramatic, but the pain and the glory are just as real. We have to keep remembering that with Jesus it will end in glory.
(6) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
When it seems that our life is all pain and misery, we just need to keep God’s promises in mind. We heard the story of Abraham to whom God promised much land and many descendants, but the promise never seemed to happen. Yet it did. All Abraham had to do was to have faith, a faith that really challenged him. In the second reading, Paul assures us that our citizenship is in heaven – our life in this world is brief and we are just tourists here. Our true home, our native country is heaven, and we will be transformed into a glorified body like Jesus’ own risen body and enjoy forever the home that God is creating for us in heaven.
(7) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
Along with this theme, the sufferings of this life will be transformed into glory just as Jesus’ sufferings would be transformed into glory. His transfiguration was meant to show this to his three disciples who went up the mountain with him. Luke is the only gospel who tells us what Jesus was talking about as he spoke with Moses and Elijah. He was talking about his exodus – his passage from this world to the next. Jesus is talking with us today about our passage from this world to the next. He wants us to trust him. He has great plans for us. He wants us to know God is faithful to his promises; God does not lie.
(8) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
Jn. 10,10) God does not lie. God is faithful to his promises. We have to see that especially in the sacraments: in baptism we are born from above, we are called God’s children and indeed that is what we really are. (I Jn, 3,1) In the sacrament of reconciliation, Jesus tells us through the words of the priest: “I absolve you from your sins.” In the Eucharist he tells us “This is my body. This is the cup of my blood which will be shed for the forgiveness of sins.” God does not lie; God is faithful to his promises.Jesus said in John’s gospel, “I came that they might have life and might have it fully.” (
(9) Guiding Light - Walk in the Light
Lately, what I have been reading about near death experiences helps me understand more concretely what Jesus has promised. Not everyone has a near death experience and not everyone has a good one, but those who do have a good one report on the sounds, the colors, the friends and relatives they meet, the light that casts out everything that is dark in us and most of all, the desire not to return to this life. It reminds me of Peter who wanted to stay on top of the mountain permanently – the experience of Jesus’ glory that he had was so awesome. I’m not an expert on near death experiences, but when people report a good experience, it gives me an idea of all the blessings that God has promised to us when we love him and serve him. God is faithful to his promises; and God does not lie.

(8) I Love You - April 13, 1994
Words of Jesus. Read before the Tabernacle.
Jesus: How, child, do I, Jesus, tell you I love you? You hold on to silly things when God is in your midst and is ardently loving you. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am writing to each precious child this day. I am on fire for love of you. I remain in the Eucharist to be with you with My ardent love. I did not want to leave My beloved ones at the Last Supper. I love you so, My dear and ardently loved children. I remain with you this day in the Blessed Sacrament, the same Jesus Who died a brutal death on the Cross.
Do you know I am truly present there? Do you know that God waits every day for you in the tabernacle? Do you comprehend even a minute amount of My love? You will never know of how I love you on earth.
(9) I Love You - April 13, 1994 continues
Jesus: I, Jesus, truly the Son of God, came to earth a man and suffered a brutal death for love of you. I love you so much! I remain with you this day. I long for your love. I want you to come and be with Me in front of the tabernacle. I wait, I yearn for you to come and whisper your love to Me. I am a person and I love you this day, with such an ardent on-fire love! No human could ever compare a speck to My love for you.
I wait, little ones, in the tabernacle. I wait for you to come and receive Me in Communion. I want you to want Me so much you cannot wait to come and receive Me. I want to be the love, the center of your life!
I am Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am writing to you this day. I want to possess your very soul and live in you. I have all you need, sweet ones. Oh, you are so blind! I long for your union with Me. I wrote the book of love. I instituted it, yet you go to the world for your love and do not even come to Me! Oh, I love you, little ones. Little ones, beloved of the Father, loved by the Holy Spirit, mothered by My very own mother! What more can I say? The rest is up to you!
(10) I Love You - April 13, 1994 continues
Jesus: I give you your will with such love and I want your love freely given. I am God. What do you think you could ever need that I do not give you? I am the Savior of this world. I am Jesus, the Son of God. I am waiting for you. I am longing for you. I am yearning for you. I am God. I have all you ever will need!
Surrender this life to Me. Pray My Prayer for Union with Me. I want to possess your soul and operate from your very being. I am Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I am Who am. I died and rose on the third day.
Harken to My call, harken to My pleading. Spend your days in love with Me. Nothing matters unless it is rooted in Me and rooted in My love. I am the Son of God. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I love you with the tenderest love. I am waiting this day for just you, My beloved one. Come to Me for I am the tenderest of all hearts. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts. — Cycle A (partial) Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD. — Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10 |
