Mary has requested that the daily message be given each day to the world. It is read nightly at the prayer service from her Image Building in Clearwater, Florida, U.S.A. This is according to her request. All attempts will be made to publish this daily message to the world at 11 p.m. Eastern time, U.S.A.

We acknowledge that the final authority regarding these messages rests with the Holy See of Rome.

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Messenger: Include Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in 6:20 prayers.

Theme III - Scriptural Foundations of the Christian Life

A. Various Articles

The founder in teaching about the Christian life referred to various articles in a           particular Bible

He referred to these as required reading

The Bible he used was the The New American Bible

We consider the following scriptures

Genesis 9: 8-15

God spoke as follows to Noah and his sons, ‘I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants to come, and with every living creature that was with you: birds, cattle and every wild animal with you; everything that came out of the ark, every living thing on earth. And I shall maintain my covenant with you: that never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.’
‘And this’, God said, ‘is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things.

1 Peter 3: 18-22

The resurrection and the descent into hell

Christ himself died once and for all for sins, the upright for the sake of the guilty, to lead us to God. In the body he was put to death, in the spirit he was raised to life, and, in the spirit, he went to preach to the spirits in prison. They refused to believe long ago, while God patiently waited to receive them, in Noah’s time when the ark was being built. In it only a few, that is eight souls, were saved through water. It is the baptism corresponding to this water which saves you now—not the washing off of physical dirt but the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has entered heaven and is at God’s right hand, with angels, ruling forces and powers subject to him.

Mark 1: 12-15

Testing in the desert

And at once the Spirit drove him into the desert and he remained there for forty days, and was put to the test by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels looked after him.

II: THE GALILEAN MINISTRY

Jesus begins to proclaim the message

After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the gospel from God saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the gospel.’

The above Scripture is from the 1st Sunday of Lent.

Father Carter wrote a thesis in the book Homiletic and Pastoral Review published by Catholic Polls, Inc., New York, New York, February 1976.

Here are excerpts from that writing entitled "The Christ-Life."

I include it here especially because of its discussion of COVENANT.

Our founder, Father Carter, dedicated his life to writing about love and the spiritual life.

The Christ-Life

1st Sunday of Lent — March 7

"B" Readings: Gen. 9:8-15 •1 Pet. 3:18-22 •Mark 1:12-15

Today's second reading speaks to us of Christian baptism. The first reading includes a key concept of salvation history — that of covenant. Herein we see a connection between the two readings, for baptism initiates the Christian into the life of the new covenant, the covenant of Jesus Christ.

Covenant in terms of salvation history is a religious pact. Covenant establishes a life-relationship between God and his people. Covenant likewise unites its own members with new bonds of mutual love, while also instilling a deepened capacity for relating in love to all members of the human family.

The life of baptism tends to reach maturity

The life of baptism, then, is the life of the new covenant and, since covenant implies community, we must realize that our covenant life calls us to a communitarian existence — to life within the Church. In various ways we help one another go to the Father in Christ and under the Spirit. We are meant to achieve our destinies, not as isolated individuals, but as members of community.  ...

Perhaps one reason our life of baptism, our Christ-life, does not develop toward maturity as it should is that we fail to see properly that the Christian existence is a full-time vocation. We are meant to be Christian all day, everyday. As St. Paul reminds us, "The fact is that whether you eat or drink — whatever you do — you should do all for the glory of God" (1 Cor. 10:31).  ...

Since the life of baptism, our Christ-life, is intended to touch all our really human activities, we can readily see why St. Paul can encourage us to do all for the glory of God. St. Paul is telling us to be full-time Christians.  ...

All day, everyday, is, consequently, the on-going possibility offered us for being Christian. We cannot plead that there is not enough time to be Christian — for every minute of every day presents the constant opportunity. If we are not the Christians we should be, we can only honestly admit that we are wasting some of the daily possibilities for being Christian.  ...

Jesus is the one who shows us how to live the life of covenant, the life of baptism. The grace-life is the Christ-life. Jesus, by his teaching and example, shows us, under the Holy Spirit's guidance, the way to the Father. Indeed, Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life.

Your existence is truly rooted in Jesus. He loves you much more than you love yourself. He is your Savior. He is your God. He is your friend.  ...

As we live each day in Christ we have a precious opportunity of shaping our eternities — and also of helping others to shape theirs. This is our great privilege — and responsibility.

I include an excerpt from a book Father Carter wrote in 1973, Everyday and Its Possibilities.

The excerpt is entitled "Love Points to Immortality".

Excerpt from Everyday and Its Possibilities, by Father Edward Carter, S.J.

LOVE POINTS TO IMMORTALITY

In Dostoevsky's most famous novel, The Brothers Karamazov, Zossima states that the more one loves the more that person becomes convinced of the immortality of the soul. Whatever the reason may have been for Zossima's thinking this way, his observations give us the occasion for offering a few ideas of our own concerning the matter.

One of the pains in loving another is the realization that one's longing for a more intimate union with the other cannot be satisfied in this life. Even though two persons love each other with a fantastically deep love, the desire for an ever closer union remains. For the thinking person, this pain of love can point to love's immortality, to the realization that there will be a state of eternal life where the longing to be more completely united with the loved one can be completely satisfied. For why should a noble love be destined never to have its longing for a more complete union with the loved one fulfilled? Why would the human heart have such an intense desire to be more and more made one with the person loved, and yet have to settle for a frustration—never to have such a deep desire fully satisfied?

Loving someone else also points to immortality because of another facet of the love experience. It would be extremely painful for a person who loves another deeply to have to accept the fact that that love would have to end completely at a certain point of time—which would be the case if there were not an eternal lift where the depth, the beauty, the tenderness, the goodness, of the love can continue forever.

The more deeply we authentically love, then, the more consistently and movingly we can remember the fact that this mortal life empties out into eternal life where the limitations of our loving another will be forever removed. In this life of immortality the depth, the fulfillment, and the happiness of our love will reach proportions we cannot now fully realize. Authentic love is meant to be forever, not just for the foreverness of this life upon earth, but for the foreverness of eternity.

Sorrowful MotherMary's Message from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary speaks: I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Song: O Lady of Light, shining so bright, be with us this day, guiding our way, O Lady, O Lady of Light.

Mary speaks: I appear to you as Our Mother of Sorrows.
