A First Thoughts

John 3:16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

The Father gave His Son, so we could be saved.

The Father said at the Baptism of Jesus:
“This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”

The Father said at the Transfiguration:
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, listen to Him.”

Mass is celebrated all day around the world.

We can be united all day offering up all we do to the Father, united to the Mass.

Say the Morning Offering!!

                      Morning Offering

    Dear Father,
I offer up all I do all day united to Jesus
in the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, through
the powerful intercession of Mary, our
spiritual Mother, with all the angels and
saints, and the souls in purgatory, for
the priest, the Church, and the world.

We love You God so much.
We thank You and adore You and
petition You for our needs. Amen.

Stay united to the Mass celebrated around the world.
Do all you do all day to please our Father in heaven, operating in love, united to the Mass, going on around the world.

It’s not a race to get ahead -

It’s a life to live, loving and serving God, living more and more as Jesus did.

What does the Father want us to do?
Who is in our heart?
Follow His will for us.

We are to live in God. Be one with God in all we do. Put God first.!!!!
Amen.

Think of the lives of the saints -
Not a hero to the world, a servant of Jesus, serving God in love.

Living as God wants us to in our lives.

Children of Our Father.

Matthew 18: 2-4

So he called a little child to him whom he set among them. Then he said, 'In truth I tell you, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. And so, the one who makes himself as little as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven.

The saints lived the Father’s will - loving God.

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

Obedience to God
Living the Gospel,
Listening to Jesus.

God loves us so much!
Live in love.
Dear Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we want to be one in You, I trust in You.

The wonders under the ocean
Another world!!

God’s Beauty!!

September 1, 2024

R. God is Light and in Him is no darkness.
I love You God, thank You for all You have
given to me, I give myself in love to You.

                        Morning Offering

    Dear Father,
I offer up all I do all day united to Jesus
in the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, through
the powerful intercession of Mary, our
spiritual Mother, with all the angels and
saints, and the souls in purgatory, for
the priest, the Church, and the world.

We love You God so much.
We thank You and adore You and
petition You for our needs. Amen.

R. Our hearts are to grow
in the image and likeness of God.

Dear God,

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul.
Come into my heart and permeate my soul.
Help me to sit in silence with You and
let You work in my heart.

God’s Beauty

Sometimes the weather does not co-operate.

We have to see beauty, but be prepared for suffering, when tragic weather happens.

We pray for the needs of the world.

We just keep putting things in God’s hands.

A Few Thoughts 3

In Heaven

Fill me Lord with You.
When I am weary, God, come into my heart and
permeate my being,
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.
My goal is to be with You Lord, forever in heaven.
I want to be with You, my beloved heavenly Father,
someday, resting in the embrace of God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In the arms of Divine Eternal love forever, no
more tears, heartache, striving to move ahead,
despite opposition, just eternal resting in
heaven, in Thee, eternal resting in Thee.
It is the light that never flickers, or goes out, of
an intensity, the brightest ever, there could be,
beyond, ineffable, light, the light of eternity,
without limits, and has no end.

This is heaven and more beyond anything I can
even imagine here below. Being wrapped in the
Divine embrace forever, wanting nothing, being
satisfied, knowing as we were created to know -
eternal knowing, being wrapped in this embrace,
the fullness of life in HIM - In heaven,
there is no more suffering, no more pain, the
fullness of life.

Sing refrain: I Am the Bread of Life
Alleluia, life is in Him!
Sing: Eye Has Not Seen
Sing: May the Angels Lead You into Paradise

This is really, reality - life in heaven is like this
and more. Alleluia, Praise God in the heights!!!
Jesus carried the heavy cross, laden with our sins
and mounted it and died, what came forth was
blood and water from His pierced Heart, water
for Baptism, Blood for the Eucharist and from
His pierced Heart the Church was born - so we
could live eternally in heaven.

I worship You, I love You my God, let me never
be put to shame.
Let me never take my eyes from this sacred goal.
Amen.
I cried out and He heard me and sent me His
peace and love amidst the clanging sounds that
were pressing in.

God is always with me, how can I fear, with His
rod and staff with me always.
Oh my Good Shepherd, let me hear Your voice
always and follow Your footsteps to the eternal
goal of heaven.
Amen.

The Good Shepherd laid down His life for me.
He is always with me guiding my way. I trust in
His burning Heart of endless love. Amen.
Alleluia.
Amen. Alleluia.

God Gives us Beauty

Here is a few thoughts:
God surrounds us in beauty.
For the beauty of the earth.
God walks with us whence we go.
He gives us the beauty that surrounds us.
It is so precious that there are open beautiful
skies, this is a constant reminder of the infinity
of God.

We are not closed in.
We can see the beauty of the ocean, the waters.
We do not even know the beauty of the world
under the waters, it is another world down there.
The beauty is ineffable.

I can see infinite beauty that surrounds me, always,
God gives me such beauty to behold.
God is Mighty. The ultimate mystery of love.
The heavens and the place He has planned for
us beyond my comprehension.

God created an awesome, orderly world and
Adam and Eve sinned, they disobeyed God who
created them and gave them all these gifts.
Oh God that I can see beyond with the eyes of
my soul, Your gifts given to me now, here, they
surround me God.

You care for me all day, every day, I love You so
much, my God.
The mystery of Your love is real.
The gift of the Church, Your love for us, the
body of Christ.
My life is surrounded by Your love for me.
The Eucharist is my precious gift of Yourself
given to me.

Oh God I love You so!!
I love the priest, Persona Christi, I love, I love
others in my life such gifts given to me.
Love is beyond words, love has an infinity that
is beyond, love is real.
God is love!! He is the source,
He gives love to me abundantly.
Love is giving and receiving.

Will I open myself, as a little innocent pure
child to receive such a gift beyond earthly measure?
Will I trust God as His and give myself to Him?
Will I trust God?
Will I open myself to God?
Will I ponder the truth, absolute truth, of the
infinity of God and how He loves us?

I can trust God completely, all the time, in
every moment of my life and He will never steer
me wrong.
The Holy Spirit is there to enlighten our hearts
to the mystery of God’s endless, eternal, Divine
love for us.
Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist, Body,
Blood, Soul and Divinity.
My beloved Father loves me so and this is truth.
Oh God You are awesome indeed - You give me
such gifts.
Beauty and people of love in my life.
I am in awe. It is ineffable.

When I am weary sometimes because of sadness,
I can look outside and see Your beauty God, Your
gifts given to me - the lighted day, the stars in
the darkness, a beautiful moon, the endlessness of this.
In Geometry I loved the circle it just kept going.
The gifts God gives us today just keep going.
It’s beyond, God is a mystery and He surrounds
me in beauty that is infinite.

I see it every day, all day, the beauty of the
earth, the sky, the waters, the birds, the lighted
day, life in the plants -
I see and know the love He gives me in others…
It is an awesome God indeed…
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I trust in Thee.
Open my heart and mind so I can let all You
want to give me, in.
Dear God, please come and dwell in me. I love
You with all my heart and want to be one in Thee.
Amen. Alleluia.

This is reality!!
This is truth!!
This is love.
Thank You, God!!!

Luke 12: 49-50

'I have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were blazing already! There is a baptism I must still receive, and what constraint I am under until it is completed.

A Few Thoughts 3

November 30, 2024

Listen to Jesus

What do we get when we refuse to love?
A hard heart.

The more we love, the more we are like Jesus.
And the Father sees, when we love and do
God’s will, the Father sees His Son Jesus in us
and He is well pleased.
The road to the Father is the road following Jesus.

Jesus did the Father’s will, Jesus loved.
And the Father sees Jesus, His Son in our lives,
and He is well pleased.
At the Transfiguration – one of the Mysteries of
Light in the Rosary -
“This is My beloved Son in whom I am well
pleased, listen to Him.”, the Father said. Matthew 17:5

Jesus walked the bitter road in the Passion to His
death, but His death led to the Resurrection.
Meditate on the Glory of God.

Meditate on the beauty of Christ’s glorified
body at the Resurrection.
See the infinitude of God in looking at the sky,
the waters, the beauty of the earth.
Envision the splendor of Heaven.
Heaven is real, it is a reward promised to those
who love and serve the Lord.
There were two thieves, one on each side when
Jesus was crucified. One was sorry; one refused
to repent.

Prepare in the wilderness a highway for the Lord.
There were 10 Virgins: 5 were foolish, 5 were wise.
Prepare, you know not the day nor the hour.
I have set before you, life or death, a blessing or
a curse, choose life that you may live.
The soul is immortal, the body is made for the soul.
Oh God make me more in Your image and likeness. Amen.
What good does it do a man to win the whole
world and lose his soul?
Jesus’ Heart is overflowing with love for us.
Open your heart to His love.

St. Bernard's Tribute to Mary

Bernard, saint and doctor of the Church, and one greatly devoted to Mary, offers us these inspiring words:

"If you will not be submerged by tempests, do not turn away your eyes from the splendor of this star. If the storms of temptation arise, if you crash against the rocks of tribulation, look to the star, call upon Mary. If you are tossed about on the waves of pride, of ambition, of slander, of hostility, look to the star, call upon Mary. If wrath or avarice or the enticements of the flesh upset the boat of your mind, look to Mary. If you are disturbed by the immensity of your crimes'if you begin to be swallowed up by the abyss of depression and despair, think of Mary! In danger, in anxieties, in doubt, think of Mary, call upon Mary. Let her name not leave your lips, nor your heart, and that you may receive the help of her prayer, do not cease to follow the example of her conduct'If she holds you, you will not fall, if she protects you, you need not fear."13

      13. St. Bernard, as in Hilda Graef, Mary: A History of Doctrine and Devotion, Christian Classics, Vol I., p. 237.

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

Dear Holy Spirit, strengthen our will and
move like a Divine breath in our soul, to
be docile sons and daughters of our
Heavenly Father. Amen.

Alleluia.

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

1. Mark 14: 32-44

They came to a plot of land called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, ‘Stay here while I pray.’ Then he took Peter and James and John with him. And he began to feel terror and anguish. And he said to them, ‘My soul is sorrowful to the point of death. Wait here, and stay awake.’ And going on a little further he threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, this hour might pass him by. ‘Abba,  Father!’ he said, ‘For you everything is possible. Take this cup away from me. But let it be as you, not I, would have it.’ He came back and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, ‘Simon, are you asleep? Had you not the strength to stay awake one hour? Stay awake and pray not to be put to the test. The spirit is willing enough, but human nature is weak.’ Again he went away and prayed, saying the same words. And once more he came back and found them sleeping, their eyes were so heavy; and they could find no answer for him. He came back a third time and said to them, ‘You can sleep on now and have your rest. It is all over. The hour has come. Now the Son of man is to be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Get up! Let us go! My betrayer is not far away.’

And at once, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, came up and with him a number of men armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. Now the traitor had arranged a signal with them saying, ‘The one I kiss, he is the man. Arrest him, and see he is well guarded when you lead him away.’

2. Adam and Eve listened to the devil, the devil is the Father of lies.
3. The devil tempted Eve in the Garden.
4. The devil told Eve if she disobey God, she could be equal to God.
5. Sin offends God who created us and is all worthy of our love.
6. The bad angels said they would not serve God.
7. In the Garden Jesus knew all that would happen in the bitter Passion and He sweat blood.
8. Jesus is the New Adam, He said
Not My will, but Thine be done.”
Jesus’ will was perfectly aligned with His Father’s will.
    Jesus said
yes”.
9. Mary always obeyed the will of God, if carrying a boulder or a pebble. Mary is the New Eve.
10. We were created to know, love and serve God.
Some listen to Satan tempting them to not serve God and then Satan wants them to hold out in defiance saying “I will not serve God”.
Satan tempts men to disobey God’s will, to oppose His will with their disobedience, and defiance to what God wants them to do.
    Satan is a fallen angel.
God is the All powerful God.
The first commandment commands us to put God first.

The Scourging at the Pillar

1. Luke 23: 15-19, 22

...As you can see, the man has done nothing that deserves death, so I shall have him flogged and then let him go.' But as one man they howled, 'Away with him! Give us Barabbas!' (This man had been thrown into prison because of a riot in the city and murder.)

And for the third time he spoke to them, 'But what harm has this man done? I have found no case against him that deserves death, so I shall have him flogged and then let him go.'

2. The devil is the Father of lies. The devil tempts men to disobey God, put their will before what the Father is calling them to do.
3. The devil is relentless. They kept whipping Jesus on His already wounded skin.
They treated Jesus, not with respect and dignity, but with violence and anger and abuse.
Jesus did nothing wrong. Jesus was the innocent Lamb, led to the slaughter.
4. Jesus was whipped on top of old wounds and torn flesh by these evil men. And Jesus’ skin so boldly wounded by the anger of these men - Jesus bled and bled and bled.
5. Jesus was forced to take their abuse and violence. Jesus was bound at the pillar as they whipped Jesus who could not move.
6. Satan tries to tempts men to act out anger and hatred on innocent others, giving violence and abuse to those who are righteous.
Satan wants men to have the attitude
I will not serve God, I want my will, I am right (even when they are wrong.)
    It is rebellion against God.
7. God created us in the image of Jesus to love and forgive and have mercy.
    Who is in our heart?
    Who owns our heart?
8. Jesus paid for our sins with all these lashes because God love’s us so much and wants us in heaven with Him forever.
9. God created us in love to someday go to our Heavenly Father, forever in heaven.
10. God gave us a free will so we would freely love and serve Him.
Freedom is in doing God’s will.

Sing first verse: Prayer for Union

The Crowning with Thorns

1. Matthew 27: 27-31

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus with them into the Praetorium and collected the whole cohort round him. And they stripped him and put a scarlet cloak round him, and having twisted some thorns into a crown they put this on his head and placed a reed in his right hand. To make fun of him they knelt to him saying, ‘Hail, king of the Jews!’ And they spat on him and took the reed and struck him on the head with it. And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the cloak and dressed him in his own clothes and led him away to crucifixion.

2. Roses are beautiful, yet roses have thorns.
3. They pounded thorns into Jesus’ precious head.
4. They blasphemed Jesus, mocked Jesus, spit on Jesus,
and wacked Jesus’ precious crowned head of thorns.
5. Jesus shed the last drop of His Blood and gave the last beat of His Heart.
6. The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made present.
7. We unite in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with Jesus and offer ourselves in purity to our Heavenly Father.
8. Jesus loved the men so dearly that abused Him and these men brought violence on Jesus.
9. Many people today treat Jesus with no respect.
10. God is love. We are commanded to love God and others as ourselves.

The Carrying of the Cross

1 . Mark 15: 15-23

So Pilate, anxious to placate the crowd, released Barabbas for them and, after having Jesus scourged, he handed him over to be crucified. The soldiers led him away to the inner part of the palace, that is, the Praetorium, and called the whole cohort together. They dressed him up in purple, twisted some thorns into a crown and put it on him. And they began saluting him, 'Hail, king of the Jews!' They struck his head with a reed and spat on him; and they went down on their knees to do him homage. And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the purple and dressed him in his own clothes. They led him out to crucify him.

They enlisted a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene, father of Alexander and Rufus, who was coming in from the country, to carry his cross. They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha, which means the place of the skull. They offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he refused it.

2. Jesus carried the heavy cross laden with our sins.
3. Mary could hardly stand to walk the way with Jesus. Can you imagine her sorrow in watching this happened to her Son?
4. Mary rocked Jesus as a baby. Hear the thumping of the cross as He walked !!! Mary, Oh Mary… I am sorry.
5. When I go to Mass, I offer a sacrifice. God wants our all. He wants to be first in our life. He asked Abraham to sacrifice his son.
6. Jesus suffered so during the passion. He was bound, whipped at the pillar, crowned with thorns! He could have stopped everything, but He endured the suffering for our sins.
7. Think of laying your crowned head of thorns on the pillow.
8. In the Mass, we offer ourselves to the Father, God outpours His blessings to us, we become greater One in Him in the Mass.
9. The Mass is the perfect sacrifice we offer to the Father, in which God pours out His blessings, and we are one with Him, and with all others in a profound expression of love.

10. Revelation 12:7-12

And now war broke out in heaven, when Michael with his angels attacked the dragon. The dragon fought back with his angels, but they were defeated and driven out of heaven. The great dragon, the primeval serpent, known as the devil or Satan, who had led all the world astray, was hurled down to the earth and his angels were hurled down with him. Then I heard a voice shout from heaven, 'Salvation and power and empire for ever have been won by our God, and all authority for his Christ, now that the accuser, who accused our brothers day and night before our God, has been brought down. They have triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word to which they bore witness, because even in the face of death they did not cling to life. So let the heavens rejoice and all who live there; but for you, earth and sea, disaster is coming-- because the devil has gone down to you in a rage, knowing that he has little time left.'

The Crucifixion

1. Luke 23: 32-47

Now they were also leading out two others, criminals, to be executed with him. When they reached the place called The Skull, there they crucified him and the two criminals, one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them; they do not know what they are doing.' Then they cast lots to share out his clothing.

The people stayed there watching.  As for the leaders, they jeered at him with the words, 'He saved others, let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.'  The soldiers mocked him too, coming up to him, offering him vinegar, and saying, 'If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.'  Above him there was an inscription: 'This is the King of the Jews'.

One of the criminals hanging there abused him: 'Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us as well.'  But the other spoke up and rebuked him.  'Have you no fear of God at all?' he said.  'You got the same sentence as he did, but in our case we deserved it: we are paying for what we did.  But this man has done nothing wrong.'  Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.'  He answered him, 'In truth I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.'

The veil of the Sanctuary was torn right down the middle. Jesus cried out in a loud voice saying, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.' With these words he breathed his last. When the centurion saw what had taken place, he gave praise to God and said, 'Truly, this was an upright man.'

2. This is an excerpt from the Mass Book and it goes something like this, I see the man hanging on the cross and He does not speak a word, for we do not hear the words that He speaks to us, but we can study Him. Yes He hangs on the cross. We hear His message loud and clear.
3. Jesus came so we would have life, life in Him.
4. Jesus gives us Himself in the Holy Eucharist and He wants our love, so we should give our love to Him.
5. Jesus died a brutal death so that we could be forgiven for our - sins.
Jesus loves us so much to endure all He did in the bitter passion.
6. Jesus wants our love. Jesus wants us to open our hearts to Him. Jesus wants to be our best friend. Jesus knows when we suffer, and Jesus is always there loving us.
7. Study the crucifix and think about how much Jesus suffered for us. Jesus I love You so much, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, I love You so much.

8.

9. Jesus was crucified with a thief on each side.
One was sorry, one would not budge!!

10.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light. end of Mary's Message

Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10
