Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for Election and our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. … thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven…
Who is first in your life?
Yourself or God?
Dominance for dominance
sake.
Why oppose the top
leadership - God - His Laws
- His precepts, to control
everything around you.
God’s laws are given to His
creatures - He is the Creator -
He has the power.
Jesus came, Jesus showed us
obedience to His Father’s will.
St. John the Baptist said:
"He must increase, I must
decrease."
For all eternity we know in
heaven
“thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven”.
Satan wants to rule!!!!
Satan tempted Eve in the
Garden to disobey God
- Eve wanted to be equal to
God.
Survival tactics for adult
children from dysfunctional
homes in need of healing is
to control everything around
them at all costs (force,
abuse, addictions, lies, to be
in control of things around
them - “on top” - to avoid
changing themselves to
grow and be healed
because of pain, stuffed
inside - they deny and
refuse to look at.)
Baptism takes away original
sin, but the human nature is
wounded and has tendencies
toward the deadly sins.
We need to live virtuously.
The deadly sins are sins
where one puts themselves
before God, refuses to love
and these things obstruct
relationships.
Pride is a deadly sin -
seeking dominance for
dominance sake - abuse
of power.
Who is first God or yourself?
Religious leaders should be
models of holy living!!!
The first commandment
commands we put God first!
We are to perform our
actions for the honor and
glory of God.
In the prayers Jesus gave
me it says
…"You are the initiator,
I am the soul waiting Your
favor".
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

glory of God!!!
God is First!!
31st Sunday in Ordinary Time
Malachi 1, 14b–2, 2b. 8–10
Cursed be the rogue who has a male in his flock but pays his vow by sacrificing a blemished animal to me! For I am a great king, says Yahweh Sabaoth, and among the nations my name inspires awe.'
'And now, priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not listen, if you will not sincerely resolve to glorify my name, says Yahweh Sabaoth, I shall certainly lay a curse on you and I shall curse your blessing. Indeed I will lay a curse, for none of you makes this resolve.
But you yourselves have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to lapse by your teaching. Since you have destroyed the covenant of Levi, says Yahweh Sabaoth, so I in my turn have made you contemptible and vile to the whole people, for not having kept my ways and for being partial in applying the law. 'Is there not one Father of us all? Did not one God create us? Why, then, do we break faith with one another, profaning the covenant of our ancestors?
Psalms 131:1, 2, 3
[Song of Ascents]Yahweh, my heart is not haughty,
I do not set my sights too high.
I have taken no part in great affairs,
in wonders beyond my scope.
No, I hold myself in quiet and silence,
like a little child in its mother's arms,
like a little child, so I keep myself.
Let Israel hope in Yahweh
henceforth and for ever.
First Thessalonians 2:7-9, 13when we could have imposed ourselves on you with full weight, as apostles of Christ. Instead, we lived unassumingly among you. Like a mother feeding and looking after her children, we felt so devoted to you, that we would have been happy to share with you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, so dear had you become. You remember, brothers, with what unsparing energy we used to work, slaving night and day so as not to be a burden on any one of you while we were proclaiming the gospel of God to you. Another reason why we continually thank God for you is that as soon as you heard the word that we brought you as God's message, you welcomed it for what it really is, not the word of any human being, but God's word, a power that is working among you believers.
Matthew 23, 1–12
Then addressing the crowds and his disciples Jesus said, 'The scribes and the Pharisees occupy the chair of Moses. You must therefore do and observe what they tell you; but do not be guided by what they do, since they do not practise what they preach. They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on people's shoulders, but will they lift a finger to move them? Not they! Everything they do is done to attract attention, like wearing broader headbands and longer tassels, like wanting to take the place of honour at banquets and the front seats in the synagogues, being greeted respectfully in the market squares and having people call them Rabbi. 'You, however, must not allow yourselves to be called Rabbi, since you have only one Master, and you are all brothers. You must call no one on earth your father, since you have only one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor must you allow yourselves to be called teachers, for you have only one Teacher, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who raises himself up will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will be raised up.
31st Sunday in Ordinary Time
October 30, 2006May 26, 2000INTRODUCTION – (Mal 1, 14b–2, 2b. 8–10; Mt 23, 1–12) Malachi was a prophet who lived about 400 years before Christ. He was definitely a fire and brimstone type prophet. Our reading begins with Malachi condemning the priests of his day for offering sacrifices unworthy of God. The usual sacrifice a person offered was an animal, usually sheep or oxen. People were bringing in animals for sacrifice that were blind, lame and sick – the kind of animals the owner wanted to get rid of anyway. The priest carried out the sacrifice and probably also had to be bribed in order to accept the animal since the law required that only perfect specimens be used in making a sacrifice to God. Malachi told them to offer that sick or blind animal as a gift to the governor and see if he would be pleased. The people were falling into sin, so Malachi condemned the priests for not teaching the people God’s ways. One such thing the priests were telling the people was “everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them.” It sounds like new age theology doesn’t it? The last verse of the reading seems to be out of context as Malachi turns his focus to the people and chastises them for breaking God's covenant through sins of adultery, dishonesty and injustice. The reading prepares us for the gospel where Jesus condemns the Jewish leaders of his day.
HOMILY – Malachi and Jesus are dealing with the sinfulness of the religious leaders of their day. The priests in Malachi’s day were offering unworthy sacrifices to God and neglecting to teach the people how God wanted them to live. In Jesus’ day, the priests (also referred to as the Sadducees) received their share of condemnation from Jesus, but it seems the Pharisees and scholars of the law received the majority of Jesus’ criticism. The Pharisees were not priests, but lay leaders, trained in leading the people in Scripture study and in liturgy. They were not all bad people. Remember Nichodemas and Joseph of Arimathea were Pharisees. So was Paul who at first persecuted the followers of Christ but later became the great apostle to the nations. Some of their membership, as we hear in today’s gospel, were more interested in looking good rather than in being good. They were interested in using their position to bring glory upon themselves rather than to serve God’s people and to lead them to give glory to God. At any time in history we can find leaders, religious or not, who were good leaders or who abused their position. It happens in religion, any religion, and it happens in all levels of society and business. And the abuse of power manifests itself in many ways. It is especially distressing when it happens among religious leaders. They, above all people, should be models of holy living. When I was growing up, the biggest scandals I would hear about were when priests or nuns thought they were little gods, thinking they should be treated as if they were on a pedestal and the world should bow to their demands. That pedestal has crumbled. The Church’s voice of authority is simply ignored by many today. The scandal of priests abusing children and the way it was handled by the hierarchy has given the Church’s authority a serious blow in our own day. We must remember that society needs authority, and the church needs authority
so it does not degenerate into anarchy. I can understand the feelings of those who have walked away from the Church because of some people’s abuse of power, but at the same time those who have walked away are missing a lot of good spiritual blessings because they have walked away. Jesus spoke very harshly of the punishment of those who cause scandal. It would be better for them if a great millstone were tied around their neck and they were thrown into the sea. Yet he also says to the people in today’s gospel about the Pharisees: “do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example.” It reminds me of a comment St. Theresa made about a spiritual director. She said she would rather have a learned priest as a spiritual director than a holy one. In other words, she figured she would get better guidance from one whoknew what they were talking about than one who didn’t. Ideally, of course, the best arrangement would be to have one who was both learned and holy. It’s a goal I try to achieve in my own priesthood, but I know I do not always achieve it. I keep asking God’s forgiveness for my failures. I am grateful to know that God is a merciful God. In turn I ask forgiveness of anyone I may have let down here at St. Boniface. Many of you are in positions of authority too, maybe in your work, maybe as parents. Did you ever think that in your close relationships you exercise a kind of authority over others too, because in those relationships you are an influence on another person for better or for worse. Let us, in our prayers, remember all people who have positions of leadership in whatever field they serve that they may use their position to serve well. And may you who influence others in whatever way lead those under your care to know the God of love and to follow him in a sincere way. May you, in all your dealings, be both wise and holy. Amen.
Week 5 of Easter
John 15:12-17"This is my commandment:
love one another,
as I have loved you.
No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends,
if you do what I command you.
I shall no longer call you servants,
because a servant does not know
the master’s business;
I call you friends,
because I have made known to you
everything I have learnt from my Father.
You did not choose me,
no, I chose you;
and I commissioned you
to go out and to bear fruit,
fruit that will last;
so that the Father will give you
anything you ask him in my name.
My command to you
is to love one another."HOMILY – When a person has chosen to head up a charitable organization, or when a person is chosen to be director of a board of trustees of a prestigious university, those people so chosen, feel very honored and elated that they were chosen among so many other possibilities to perform a very considerable task. And they go about that task of heading up the charitable organization or the board of trustees with great enthusiasm, with as complete dedication, as time and energy will allow, because they want to fulfill the trust which has been placed in them.
In today's Gospel Jesus says, "You did not choose me, no, I chose you." (John 15:16) Think of it: the Son of God, chooses each of us for a very, very, very special task, much more important than just heading up a certain charitable organization, much more important than being the head of a board of trustees of a prestigious university. Do we have the same enthusiasm, the same dedication that these people who were chosen for these lesser tasks have?
St. Philip Neri – he certainly responded so beautifully and to such a high degree of love to the choice which Jesus had made of him, and so did all the saints. And so we always have to reflect: how do I look upon the fact that Jesus, the incarnate, Son of God, has chosen me, for a very, very, very special mission which, no one else can fulfill? Again, are we as enthusiastic about Jesus' choice of us, for this very, very special mission, as the children of this world are, as they respond to choices made of them, for various purposes, with such great enthusiasm and dedication?
Of course it is the Eucharist which gives us the chief source of grace to fulfill the choice Jesus has made of each of us, to such a high degree. The saints – they depended upon that same Eucharist and they so admirably fulfilled the mission attached to Jesus' choice of them, because they used those graces of the Eucharist in such eminent fashion.
And so each day as we offer the Eucharistic Sacrifice, along with Jesus, and as we receive Him at Communion time, let us ask Him, "Dear Jesus, in Your great, tender love You have chosen me for such a special mission to be fulfilled here below. Allow me to respond to Your choice with the greatest enthusiasm, commitment, vigor and effectiveness which Your grace will allow me. Jesus, thank You for choosing me."
R. Oh my God, I am so sorry
for our sins.
Please forgive us and help
us to grow in holiness.
Please send the grace we
need most.
To be a Spouse of Christ is
such an honor.
A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb the Bridegroom of my Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
R. Oh God Please forgive us,
please give us the grace we
need most.
When you were brought in

Shepherd, you wore a white
bridal veil
and given a wedding ring -
Fr. Carter brought you in.
Such an honor.
Mary: I am Our Lady of
Clearwater.
Jesus calls hearts to be
gentle, sweet and loving,
with a strong character to
serve God with truth and
love.
Little sweet girls before Our
Lady of Clear-water.
Jesus: Remain always in My
love.
I give you Myself in the
Eucharist.
I am God, I am Love.
I give you gifts of inspiration
in your heart and intellect.
You receive Me in your heart,
when you go to receive Me
in the Eucharist.
The power is there in My
Eucharistic presence.
What has happened to nuns
who gave themselves in
deep love to Me?
There are so few sisters, I
called you: Handmaids of
the Good Shepherd. I long
for your love.
R. We love you and hope to
grow ever more spiritually in
Your image and likeness
through the working of the
Holy Spirit in Mary’s
Immaculate Heart.
Think of the dignity,
respect, love, and
obedience to God of the
Holy Family.
They showed us family love.
Mary has powerful intercession.
Let’s pray to Mary and ask
her to intercede for us for
those who do not care and
are sinning mortally and can
lose their soul if they do not
repent of their sins.
Think of Mary wanting to
reach her children, in
schools with the rosary, her
old children too, in nursing
homes.
Let’s pray to Mary our
heavenly Mother, and try to
reach her children and pray
for them.
We are to live as children of
light for our Mother Mary.
Oh, most Sacred Heart of
Jesus Your love for us is a
burning flame of endless,
enduring love. Thank you.
Amen.
Jesus says: "How few souls
come to Me and give Me
their love. I am longing and I
am waiting for such love
from My precious souls.
I love you with a Personal
love, I am a Person. I long
for your love. I am in your
midst.
I am longing for you to come."
Jesus: you do not know how
I love each of you and want
to be so close to you. Come
to Me, open your hearts, let
go of the coldness in your
heart, My Heart is on fire
with love for you.

Matthew 5:23-24So then, if you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering.
R. Remember this!!
The Church is to be seen as
so precious and sacred.
It should not be
commonplace when
someone goes to the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass.
We are to offer a Holy
Sacrifice.
Ask God for forgiveness of
our sins to be pure and holy,
as we offer ourselves to God.
Our altitude should be to
come humbly, to the alter of
God.
The attitude of Christ.
From dysfunctional homes,
there can be stuffed pain
some never deal with,
and need healing.
Healing comes in forgiveness.
We must be truthful about
pain that needs to be healed.
Stuffed pain leads to living
survival tactics from the past
that no longer are needed.
Stuffed pain can lead to
rigidity, and untrue ways
acted out on others, in an
attempt to be free from them.
Some from trauma become
frozen when triggered
And punish others in their
lives for their ways.
Jesus offers forgiveness
and mercy to the sincere
sinner desiring and seeking
this.
Forgiving others, is freedom
for oneself.

Act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Jesus Your love for us is a
burning flame of endless,
enduring love. Thank you.
Amen.
Oh, God, oh, my Jesus, You
and the Holy Family knew
the sufferings that love
endured.
You taught us - love,
sacrifices, to obey God’s will.
Love gives. We must put God
first and obedience the
Commandments of God.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
