Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. In this parable we know we
are to put the Kingdom of God
first in our lives. If God is not first
in your life, why do you worship
idols? You need to attend to those
things you have put before God in
your life, that can interfere with your
eternal salvation and pray for the
grace to not give into anything you
put before God.
We have duties because we are called by
God to go out and spread the Good News.
We are to serve as Christ would do – in
living in family and community, it is
to help the family and community to grow –
to be united – to live in a way that is
a family of the heavenly Father – pleasing
to the heavenly Father who created us
in the image and likeness of God –
We are to openly show love to others –
We come to the Mass and pray as one giving thanks
to our heavenly Father for such a great
gift given to us. We are one in this – giving
ourselves united to Jesus, offering ourselves
to the heavenly Father. Love should abound.
The Church is one body in Christ – with
Christ the head. The Church is ONE –
HOLY – CATHOLIC – and APOSTOLIC –
worshipping God, loving God, showing
God we adore Him and are under Him.
We are the people –
He is our God –
We unite as one body –
The Word of God is read –
There are prayers and songs and
we share at this heavenly meal
where Jesus gives Himself to us.
Our whole manner should be united
in love – in this –
We come with such joy to unite with
others – to be holy and giving of ourselves
in this offering to the Father –
Romans 3: 8-10
In this case, the slanderous report some people are spreading would be true, that we teach that one should do evil that good may come of it. In fact such people are justly condemned.
R. We are called by God to grow in the
image of God. This is how we
were created – to have everlasting
love with God in heaven.
Satan is strong. Satan works to
oppose whatever God wants –
A person has a free will to love and
serve God as he is commanded in the
commandments or
to oppose God, to serve satan, to
disobey the commandments of God,
rebel against God and grow – not
as God commands us, but he can
grow in darkness, rebellion,
disobedience and this is in
opposition to the commandments of God.
Love is giving – one that loves
goes out to meet the beloved –

there is the vibrancy of passion –

In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.
Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.
Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".

R. Jesus came in the womb of Mary –

today in His Divinity and humanity –

We long to know God's truth –

After all, we do share in God’s work; you are God’s farm, God’s building.
By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master–builder, and someone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building. For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ. On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw but each person’s handiwork will be shown for what it is. Luke 19: 1-10
He entered Jericho and was going through the town and suddenly a man whose name was Zacchaeus made his appearance; he was one of the senior tax collectors and a wealthy man. He kept trying to see which Jesus was, but he was too short and could not see him for the crowd; so he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus who was to pass that way. When Jesus reached the spot he looked up and spoke to him, 'Zacchaeus, come down. Hurry, because I am to stay at your house today.' And he hurried down and welcomed him joyfully. They all complained when they saw what was happening. 'He has gone to stay at a sinner's house,' they said. But Zacchaeus stood his ground and said to the Lord, 'Look, sir, I am going to give half my property to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody I will pay him back four times the amount.' And Jesus said to him, 'Today salvation has come to this house, because this man too is a son of Abraham; for the Son of man has come to seek out and save what was lost.'
R. Our whole life is in being open more
and more to God. To learning from Christ
who showed us in His life – He served

How we deal with our will can help
us make it or break it.
Jesus came and took flesh in the body
of a baby. Mary kissed the face of the
Son of God in Bethlehem, House of Bread.
Yes, Jesus is the Bread of Life. Jesus is the
life. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
The person who is in disorder, closes
in more and more to themselves. They
have so much to do – they tell themselves –
they have lists for God when He tells
them what to do because they are busy
with their own agenda.
God must be first in our lives. God
works in order. God puts just authority
over us. We love God, we respect the
authority God puts over us – we
don't close in more and more with
each passing day – where we are
the boss, we have the agenda, we
are the Master and we write the
rules and if Christ comes we can
respond with He is in my way –
the attitude up I don't have to
obey any order
God is to be first in our lives –
We are to know, love and serve God.
The deadly sins are called Deadly because
the more a person gives into pride –
putting themselves first before God, before
just authority, before laws –
the more they serve themselves – NOT God.
"Thy will be done on earth as it is
in heaven."
Order means we are under God. Servants
mean they serve God with joy – they
go out to meet in love the beloved.
Jesus shows us the ultimate love –
In a stable Mary kissed the face of the
Son of God. Mary was entirely selfless –
God had the plan – Mary showed God
and us how to serve.

Sorrowful Mysteries
Every Friday at Noon, Jesus gave us a very tender rosary. We always did the Sorrowful Mysteries on Friday at 12:00 noon. This was the first rosary received in the Sorrowful Mother Chapel before the exposed Eucharist. Rita was in an ecstatic state. Marty saw angels around the monstrance and Sorrowful Mother statue.
The Agony in the Garden
Messenger: Be with Jesus in the Garden, alone with Him as if you are there and experiencing what He is about to undergo. Think of knowing all that you will suffer. See before you all that He is about to experience. Put yourself with Jesus in the Garden and feel deeply in your heart whatever the Spirit allows you to experience.
Jesus speaks: I am an endless furnace of love. My Heart is beating for each one of you here. See My Heart as it beats. Think of this beating. Think of the beating Heart!
I pour out to you My endless love constantly. I never leave you. I am forever with you, second by second, minute by minute. I am forever present with you in this room the same as the day I knelt in the Garden. Be alone with Me. Empty your mind of any distractions, of any concerns. Be totally wrapped in the love that I am giving to you. Open your hearts wide and let Me unite ever so closely within your heart. I am Jesus, your most ardent Lover, on fire for love of you, My beloved ones. As I knelt in the Garden, I pondered the ways of your heart. My Heart ached for all the souls that would treat Me with such indifference and neglect. Comfort My aching Heart with your love for Me.
Be with Me as I kneel and see all of the sufferings that I experience. But the sufferings that I experienced to My body were not My greatest sufferings. My greatest sufferings were the agonies that I experienced in My Heart for the endless souls that pay Me no heed, that never come to Me, that stay at such a distance. And I am in love with them, so deeply in love!
I call out to you to take My plea seriously. My plea involves the salvation of souls. Open your hearts and let Me unite closely to you so that I can live in you. Through you I will touch My beloved ones that I love so dearly. How I love you this day, My precious ones. Be alone with Me, totally wrapped in My embrace. I am Jesus, your Savior, and I love you with the deepest, tenderest love. I pour My love out to you. Harken to Me. Let go!

Hail Mary ...
Jesus speaks: Surrender! Surrender! Surrender! Open wide the gates to your hearts. You are so closed. You tap at My source so lightly when I am an ocean of endless love and mercy that I want to pour into your hearts. You must surrender to become closely united to Me. You think you are letting go. You are not letting go! You are holding on as tightly as you can hold on. You let go of what you want to let go of. I am calling you to more, to be so closely united that I can operate through you. Will you surrender or will you control everything that is in your life that pertains to Me? I want to live with you second by second, to operate in every deed that you do, to be one with you as you perform those deeds. You are My mighty soldiers to go into the war and to do My work. Surrender! Surrender! Surrender!
Open wide the portals of your heart. Let me penetrate every cell of your being. I want such oneness with you. You do not comprehend My immense love. You must surrender!
Consecrate yourself totally to My Heart and that of My Mother.

Jesus Is Scourged at the Pillar
Messenger: His body was beaten! His flesh was torn! He was scourged and bleeding!
He stood in total surrender to His persecutors. He knew the Father's Will. He knew the plan of salvation, that He was dying for the salvation of all.
He stood in such total submission to these men who treated Him so harshly. He did not answer back, always in compliance with the Father's Will. It is in compliance with His Will that our peace and joy lie. He has a plan for each one of us, His specially loved children.
Jesus speaks: They whipped Me! They tore My flesh! They treated Me with such harshness. I withstood all of this treatment. But the greatest agonies were not the agonies of My body but the agonies in My Most Sacred Heart for all the souls in their busy lives that have totally forgotten Me. I am in your midst and with you this very day and how many come to be with Me? A few! So big is this world and so few even realize that I am God and that I am truly present here with you!
They will persecute you! They will treat you with such anger! Come to My Heart and know the immensity of My love. For, minute by minute, second by second, I am ever attentive to all of your needs. I am the most ardent Lover, waiting to be close to you. If you tap ever so gently, there is so much more!
I pour My life out to you. My grace is My life. It is divine life that I give. Nothing on this earth compares to this divine life!
Pray to be sensitive to My touch. Every time that I give you My grace I am touching you in a special way so that you may respond to all the graces that I am pouring out to you this day.
I give to you My Heart as a sign of My immense love for you. See My Heart beating! See it, each pulse of My Heart! This is how I love you. Second by second, minute by minute, I am always there.
I want to be one in you, to operate from you! You must surrender!

Jesus Is Crowned with a Crown of Thorns
Messenger: They pounded into His head a crown of sharp, piercing thorns.
Think of how it would be to have someone pound into your head thorns that would puncture your skull. The blood ran from these thorns down His face, into His eyes and into His ears.
He had seen before Him in the Garden all of these things that they would do. Now He experienced exactly what He had seen. At any time, He could have stopped anything that happened because He was God! But because He loves each one of us with the deepest love, He allowed them to pound into His skull sharp, piercing thorns that punctured His head. He allowed them to beat Him and tear His flesh. He stood in total submission to the Will of the Father, His Heart ever beating, as it beats for us this day, with deepest love. The same Jesus that suffered this agony loves us with this same love this day. So many do not even think of Him. How His Heart was wounded and hurt for all His beloved ones!
This is Jesus Christ. He is truly God! God took the form of a human being because He loved us so much. He took on our human nature. A divine person took on our human form!
Who are we that God loves us this much?
They spit on Him and they hollered obscenities at Him. Think of the things that irritate us this day. Even when people are not cruel to us, how we ponder in our minds things that we think someone may have done that might have been cruel! But Jesus came to show us the way. They pounded into His Head a crown of sharp, piercing thorns and He loves those who did this to Him. He asks us to love one another. His way is always love. He asks us to purify our hearts, not to give in to the ways of the mind, not to give in to thinking ill thoughts of our brothers, but to purify our hearts and focus on Him. His way is love, always love, not sizing up our brothers or ever thinking harshly of them. See them through His eyes, the eyes of love. See our brothers as the creation of our Father. How He loves each and every soul that He was beaten, that His flesh was torn, that He was crowned with thorns because He loves our brothers so much.
Jesus speaks: I want to tell each one of you this day of My immense love that I have for you. You do not realize how I am truly speaking here to you. You close your hearts. You cut yourself off from the grace I am giving to you. I truly love with the deepest love. Open up your hearts and surrender. My ways are so simple. My ways are truth! You must release yourselves and come to Me for all your needs. Realize that, minute by minute, second by second, I am dealing with you directly.
The very hairs of your head are numbered. I am with you at this second and I am providing for every one of your cares and needs but your minds are busy and you think of all that you must do. When will you release yourself and let Me operate with you in every deed that you do? When will you become one with Me so that I can operate through you to do the work that is at hand? You are humans. When I become one with you, the might of God is within you. I can do in one second what a human cannot do in a million years. You must trust. You must surrender. You must let go. Let go now and be totally wrapped in My love, My intense love that I pour out to you, My beloved ones. Let go! Let go! Let go, for I am truly here and working in your heart.
Song: Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne. His regal scepter knows no bounds, all kingdoms are His own. All Christians come and sing to Him Who died for thee and hail Him as thy Savior King for all eternity.

Jesus Carries His Cross
Jesus speaks: They gave Me a heavy cross that they placed on My shoulder and I carried My cross. I could hardly move but My thoughts were always of you and the immense love that I have for you.
This world has rejected God! This world crucified Me! Why do you not realize that they will crucify you, that they will persecute you, that they will holler slanders against you? If they crucified Me, why should they treat you any differently when you spread My word?
You are the soldiers that I send into battle, a battle to spread My love throughout this world. It is in your submissiveness and surrender that I can operate through you to give My love to this world.
Surrender! Surrender! Surrender! I am calling out to you to take up your cross and go into battle, to battle for Me to spread this love, for souls will be lost to eternal damnation because they do not know My love.
Time is drawing near. I tell you! I tell you! I tell you! As I spoke then, and many did not listen, I tell you today that I am depending upon you, My beloved ones. You must fight against the godlessness of this world. But you must go on. You must be My warriors that go into battle. Powered by the fire of My love, you can conquer the earth with your hearts filled with the immense love that I pour out to this world through you. You will be the light that will shine in the darkest night. You will be a city set on a hill that will shine to the rest of this world. Come to My Heart and take refuge in My Heart for I am truly God and I call out to you, My beloved ones, with such tender love this day.
As I walked on and on with the heavy cross on My back, a cross which became heavier as I walked, your crosses seem to get heavier each day. Time is so short! The work you do here will help to lead souls to eternal happiness in heaven. Please listen to Me! Have courage! Pray to the Spirit for the fearlessness to do the job that is at hand. I send you into this world to preach the Gospel. You are My soldiers going into battle. You will light up this world. A city set on a hill will shine to the rest of this world. You are the city. You are My soldiers. I send you into battle.
In battle there is bloodshed. On My way to Calvary I shed much blood for love of My beloved souls. I ask you to surrender and to do this work for Me this day for I truly gave My life for love of each precious soul. Will you not spread this love to a world that is in pain and hurting?
Surrender! Surrender! Surrender! It is not by your own might that you will light up the world. It is only through My power radiating through you. It is only in your oneness with Me. The most important thing you can do is to spend time with Me each day, to become one in Me. Jesus Is Crucified and Dies on the Cross
Jesus speaks: I hung for three agonizing hours on the cross. My body was beaten, My head crowned with thorns. I breathed My last breath, My thoughts always of you, My beloved ones. I truly died for you.
Do you not hear My plaintive cries, the cries that I am giving to you this day, to spread this love throughout the world? You are the backbone. You are the ones that will carry this out. You must be strong soldiers. I am speaking directly to you. You are going into battle. It is a hard battle. Do not be discouraged by the opposition that Satan has created for you. He will try to stop you at every turn, but you must be strong soldiers and you must stayed fixed in Me. Only if you are rooted in My love can you do the work that I am asking you to do. You are human. You, on your own, cannot do this work. This work is the work of lighting up the world with the fire of My love. You must be strong soldiers. You are truly battling a world that hates God. Come to My Heart and receive all that you need to light up this world.
My Mother stood under My cross. My beloved Mother! How she loves each one of you. Go to the Heart of Mary and reside in her arms. Rest in her Heart. This is Her House. She is with each one of you on your journey. We love you with the tenderest love.
As she stood by Me all through My life, she stands by your side. Think of that! Where you are sitting now, Mary is right by you. Do you feel her presence? Put yourself on the other side. Be alone with Us now. Let go of this world. Be touched by the grace of God, special grace that I am giving to you alone. The angels and saints are so present here at this Center. They are in the halls. You do not realize because you do not see. You must be alone with Me and let go of your world to be united ever closer and to see these things that I want to show you.
See Me hanging on the cross. Do you see that? Do you need to see with your eyes? Do you know what you feel when you receive the Eucharist? You must reach more and more beyond your vision. Reach into your heart. I communicate in your heart. Such oneness I have with you in your heart! See beyond your eyes, beyond your ears, and go inside into your heart. Minute by minute, second by second, I am there! Mary is with you. My Father and the Holy Spirit are inside of you. You just do not see. Pray more for grace to partake in the life I want to give you.
Pray to the Holy Spirit to open your eyes more and more to the things of God. You are all blind men! You do not realize the great gifts that you have. You must be lost in My Heart. Come to My Heart and let Me hold you close to My divine love!
My love is burning and on fire for you. Do you see Me as I hang on the cross with My arms outstretched? I held on to nothing! I totally surrendered to the Will of the Father. I held nothing back. I gave My flesh and My blood. I was born in poverty in a stable and I died on the cross. I came to show you the way so that you might have life and have life to the full. Life is not life if it is not rooted in Me!
Let Me pour My life out to you. Feel its vibrancy within you. I am truly with you this day and longing for closer union with you. Let go! Let go! Let go!
It is in this time that you spend alone with Me that I can work in your heart. Do not look for visions. Do not look to hear things. Go inside of your heart and be alone with Me. Spend this time with Me each day and, through the day, spend short periods, minutes when you just close your eyes and focus on My presence with you, for I am truly present. I will work in your heart when you come to Me in these special moments.
This time between noon and 3:00 p.m. is so important to Me. Spend this time focusing on being ever more united to Me and think of My passion. See Me as I hung on the cross. See My flesh torn! See the blood as it ran down My body. Spend this time each Friday focused from noon until 3:00 p.m. on My passion. It is in meditating on this passion that you will realize My immense love that I have for you. I truly gave My blood. I gave you My flesh. I give you My body and I give you My blood this day in the Eucharist. Come to Me and spend time with Me after Communion and let Me work in your heart, for I love you so dearly, My beloved ones. I am Jesus. Jesus! I love you so much!

Jesus: Settle down, for I want to take you into a place of peace, where I can touch your heart, and you will know Me more deeply than ever before in your life. But you must let go and surrender and let Me fill your heart now. Now. Now. Now. But you are busy child, even in silence, as I want to touch you and move in your heart, you are busy in your minds, and thinking so many things. Have you not learned after all these years, how to surrender? How to let go? How to come to that place, that special place, dwelling deeply in My Heart? Knowing the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit within your graced, baptized soul. Oh sweet one, you are so busy about so many things, when indeed you miss some of the finest treasures.

Jesus: And now let Me speak to you of fear. For the Apostles knew fear in the upper room. It can grip you like a cold hand, and you give into it. When I am guarding and watching you and I am with you now. So many things you allow to parade in your mind, when you can only live and do one thing at a time. Busy, busy, busy, busy, ah child. Why so busy?
Come now away with Me into My Heart. Think of nothing but the love of God, that God dwells within you child. What keeps you from Me is your busy, busy mind. After the reception of the Eucharist, I want to touch you in a deep way, at the Mass, at the consecration - I am giving to you a grace — busy, busy, busy. Oh child, you will all go out of this life in the same way, when the time comes, when the Father is ready for you to leave. Surrender now. Let Me control your life. Know that the Father has a plan for you, that the Father has given to you all the talents to accomplish great things in the building of My Kingdom. But your busy-ness gets in My way.
Why so busy child, busy planning, and planning what the Father has planned, and your planning is of your own making. Busy, busy - bzzzz like the bees. Come to Me at Mass. Busy, busy, busy. Will you let go now? Are you planning the next thing? Have you planned tomorrow? How about tomorrow night? How is your schedule? Pull out your calendar or your cell phone or wherever it is that you keep your busy things. Busy, busy, busy. Can you write Me into that calendar? Can I have that little space there? Oh no that's when you wash the dog! — ah-ah — I should have known much better.

But it takes faith. It takes love. It takes wanting the purity of the hearts, so that your heart is more and more like the heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It takes listening to the Holy Spirit, that is not telling you, like the devil does, you did everything wrong — you either did everything wrong or you did everything right. That's not truth. You did this right and this right and this right and this right, but you need to fix that one there. What you do affects others. If you look at Eve you see that what she did affected everybody after that.
This is a wake up call. It was a wake up call in these days before the feast of Pentecost to give your heart and your life to God, to quit the controlling, the plans, the prodding, all of the things that you tell yourselves, when you are busy, busy, busy, and not even leaving a little space to be alone, and to let the Holy Spirit move in your heart. To not do the examination of conscience daily, that you will know that you are praising your God, thanking your God, loving your God, checking your spiritual pulse, to see that if you are in desolation, that you are not acting in that desolation, in anger, in provoking people, in jealousies and then telling yourself when you know that the jealousy came over you, the boredom, that you went out and started a little fire. It's called letting go and wanting only God's will in your life.

because of Saul's disobedience —
Jesus: A man in a fox hole, at war, is not arguing
with pride — he is not worried about being right over
his commanding officer —

Orders in the Church are under a
superior — even when a religious
under a superior thinks he has
a better idea than his superior

disobeying the vow of

The devil showed Eve a shiny
apple and told her if she

Fourth Sunday of Easter -
May 3, 2009When I think of shepherds, I always remember 20 years ago when I climbed Mt. Sinai (I’m glad I did it then, because I couldn’t do it any more – it’s very rugged and steep) and on the way down, I saw a shepherd and her sheep on a near-by hill. It was just getting dark. She started playing her flute and headed in a direction away from where we were; the sheep just fell in line following her. It was all the sheep trusted her knew how much they depended on her. It was a beautiful scene.
The metaphor is obvious. Christ is our shepherd. He wants us to trust him and follow him. Sometimes following him can get a little frightening; we don’t know where he’s taking us or what he might ask of us. Sometimes when he takes us through the desert, as shepherds need to do at times when they want to bring their sheep to better grazing ground, we ask why is he doing this to us? That’s why he is always telling us we need to have faith in him. That’s also why we need to pray - so we will have faith in him. Amen.

The devil wants us to disobey
God — and then do something
we think is good, but not
God's will — and then expect
it to work (A mud pie in the face!!)
We can then say "look at how good
I am", but I am disobedient to
those over me, disobeying just authority
is wrong if I am under them —
God works in structure —
Jesus: A man did his own will and then
he told his superior
what he did —
then he did things harder and
more secretive — he did his
will opposed to God's will, without
direction and he wanted the superior to
run after him and correct him, then
fight with him to get it removed.
This is like the abortion law —
put this against God's will out there
and then fight for it to be removed — killing babies!!
The devil works this way opposing
God's laws.
The man giving into satan has altered reality
and the man has changed the rules —
then he makes confusion
with those under just authority —
to make confusion and discredit the
just authority.
God is calling us to obey - just authority —
Eve disobeyed God —
she was lured with power and control
after all she was given
You can be addicted to misery
You can be addicted to self-pity
You can be addicted to negative thinking —
You can be addicted to power
You can be addicted to control —
"Oh poor me", — attitude — pity pot — they can say
"I did this", "I did that" —
"I want you to come and fill me —
recognize me and
make me feel better" —
Why do you act in anger and expect
anything, but a mud pie

1. R. They pounded into His head a sharp crown of piercing thorns. The blood ran down the side of His face into His eyes and into His ears. Blood ran from His mouth from the blows they had given to His head. Look at Jesus' face streaming with blood! This is the blood that He shed for love of each one of us! He calls out to us today to come ever closer to Him. He is outpouring His grace to us so we may be filled more and more with His life in us. He outpours His love. The soul searches this barren desert for so many things to fill it when only the love of God will satisfy the soul.

Chapter Meeting Prayer Format
The prayer format below should be followed at chapter meetings of Shepherds of Christ Associates. All prayers, not just those said specifically for priests, should include the intention of praying for all the needs of priests the world over.
1. Hymns. Hymns may be sung at any point of the prayer part of the meeting.
2. Holy Spirit Prayer. Come, Holy Spirit, almighty Sanctifier, God of love, who filled the Virgin Mary with grace, who wonderfully changed the hearts of the apostles, who endowed all Your martyrs with miraculous courage, come and sanctify us. Enlighten our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgment, set our hearts on fire, and preserve us from the misfortunes of resisting Your inspirations. Amen.
3. The Rosary.
4. Salve Regina. "Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, our mourning, our weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary."
5. The Memorare. "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen."
6. Seven Hail Marys in honor of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. Mary has promised very special graces to those who do this on a daily basis. Included in the promises of Our Lady for those who practice this devotion is her pledge to give special assistance at the hour of death, including the sight of her face. The seven sorrows are:
(1) The first sorrow: the prophecy of Simeon (Hail Mary).
(2) The second sorrow: the flight into Egypt (Hail Mary).
(3) The third sorrow: the loss of the Child Jesus in the temple (Hail Mary).
(4) The fourth sorrow: Jesus and Mary meet on the way to the cross (Hail Mary).
(5) The fifth sorrow: Jesus dies on the cross (Hail Mary).
(6) The sixth sorrow: Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in Mary's arms (Hail Mary).
(7) The seventh sorrow: the burial of Jesus (Hail Mary).

8. Prayer to St. Joseph. St. Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste spouse of Mary, you passed your life in perfect fulfillment of duty. You supported the Holy Family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly turn to you. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes; and they turn to you because they know you will understand and protect them. You too have known trial, labor, and weariness. But, even amid the worries of material life, your soul was filled with deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with the Son of God entrusted to you, and with Mary, His tender Mother. Promises of Our Lord to those devoted to His Sacred Heart
(these should be read by the prayer leader):
(1) I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
(2) I will establish peace in their homes.
(3) I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
(4) I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.
(5) I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.
(6) Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.
(7) Tepid souls shall grow fervent.
(8) Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
(9) I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.
(10) I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
(11) Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
(12) I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.
10. Prayer for Priests. "Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. United with Your Heart and Mary's Heart, we ask that You take this petition to Your heavenly Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen"
11. Prayer for all members of the Shepherds of Christ Associates. "Dear Jesus, we ask Your special blessings on all members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. Continue to enlighten them regarding the very special privilege and responsibility you have given them as members of Your movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates. Draw them ever closer to Your Heart and to Your Mother's Heart. Allow them to more and more realize the great and special love of Your Hearts for each of them as unique individuals. Give them the grace to respond to Your love and Mary's love with an increased love of their own. As they dwell in Your Heart and Mary's Heart, abundantly care for all their needs and those of their loved ones. We make our prayer through You to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary our Mother at our side. Amen"
12. Prayer for the spiritual and financial success of the priestly newsletter. "Father, we ask Your special blessings upon the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ. We ask that You open the priest-readers to the graces You wish to give them through this chosen instrument of Your Son. We also ask that You provide for the financial needs of the newsletter and the Shepherds of Christ Associates. We make our prayer through Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary at our side. Amen"
13. Prayer for all members of the human family. "Heavenly Father, we ask Your blessings on all Your children the world over. Attend to all their needs. We ask Your special assistance for all those marginalized people, all those who are so neglected and forgotten. United with our Mother Mary, we make this petition to You through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit."
14. Prayer to St. Michael and our Guardian Angels:
"St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."
"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."
15. Pause for silent, personal prayer. This should last at least five minutes.
16. Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."
17. Daily Prayers. All members should say the Holy Spirit prayer daily and make the act of consecration daily. They should also pray the rosary each day. They are encouraged to use the other above prayers as time allows.
