Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Matthew 21: 28-32

‘What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He went and said to the first, "My boy, go and work in the vineyard today." He answered, "I will not go," but afterwards thought better of it and went. The man then went and said the same thing to the second who answered, "Certainly, sir," but did not go. Which of the two did the father’s will?’ They said, ‘The first.’ Jesus said to them, ‘In truth I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are making their way into the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you, showing the way of uprightness, but you did not believe him, and yet the tax collectors and prostitutes did. Even after seeing that, you refused to think better of it and believe in him.

 

Luminous Mysteries

The Baptism of Jesus

1. Jesus was baptized by John
    at the Jordon.

2. The sky was thrown open and
    the voice of the Father was
    heard.

3. "This is My beloved Son, in
    whom I am well pleased."

4. Jesus was completely obedient
    to His Father's will.

5. Above the head of Jesus was a
    dove, the Holy Spirit.
 

 

6. We see the unity of the
    Trinity –
    3 Persons in one God.

7. The Trinity, the most perfect
    community.

8. When we obey God, we work toward
    co-operation and unity.

9. Disobedience to God and those
    in authority causes
    division with those doing

10. We are to thank God for
    baptism - Jesus paid a

The Wedding at Cana

1. John 2: 1-10  

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’  There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.’ They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said, ‘Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.’ 
 

2. Mary told Jesus - they have
    no wine.

3. Mary has powerful intercession.

4. Jesus changed water into wine
    at the wedding at Cana.

5. Mary, please help us now
    in our need.

6. Hell is total separation
    from God.

7. 1 Corinthians 2: 9

Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

    ... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

    The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

    At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ.
 

10. The Mass is the sacrifice

The Kingdom of God

1. The Good News is God
    created us and He
    wants us eternally
    with Him forever in heaven.

2. God has a plan - He created
    us uniquely to help promote
    the Kingdom of God.

3. Jesus is priest, prophet and
    king.

4. How do we obey God's will
    in our vocation?

5. How are we preparing for eternal life?

6. Jesus paid the price for our
    sins.

7. We should not be selfish and
    full of vain glory.

8. The greatest commandment.

Matthew 22: 34-40 

But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees they got together and, to put him to the test, one of them put a further question, ‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself.  On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’
 

9. A Christian should have an
    attitude of giving
    love to God and others.

10. We must die to our selfishness
    and rise in Jesus.

John 10: 11-15

I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd lays down his life
   for his sheep.
The hired man,
   since he is not the shepherd
and the sheep do not belong to him,
abandons the sheep
as soon as he sees a wolf coming,
   and runs away,
and then the wolf attacks
   and scatters the sheep;
he runs away
   because he is only a hired man

just as the Father knows me

The Transfiguration

1. Luke 9: 28-36

   Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray. And it happened that, as he was praying, the aspect of his face was changed and his clothing became sparkling white. And suddenly there were two men talking to him; they were Moses and Elijah appearing in glory, and they were speaking of his passing which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep, but they woke up and saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As these were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, ‘Master, it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what he was saying. As he was saying this, a cloud came and covered them with shadow; and when they went into the cloud the disciples were afraid. And a voice came from the cloud saying, ‘This is my Son, the Chosen One. Listen to him.’ And after the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. The disciples kept silence and, at that time, told no one what they had seen.
 

2. Jesus took them up
    Mt. Tabor and showed
    them Himself transfigured.

3. Jesus' public life
    started with the baptism
    of Jesus and like matched
    bookends – we hear
    the voice of the
    Father again.

4. The voice of the Father
    at the Transfiguration said
    "This is My beloved Son
    in whom I am well pleased,
    listen to Him."

5. How has our lives
    grown so we are
    more and more in
    the image of Jesus?

6. When they saw the
    resurrected Jesus,
    Peter, James and John
    had to remember what
    they had experienced
    in this apparition of Jesus
    transfigured on Mt. Tabor.

7. Jesus was light and
    almost white as
    He appeared in the
    Transfiguration before
    them.

8. Jesus is the Light of the World.

The Institution of the Eucharist

1. The Eucharist has all the
    power.

2. Jesus comes to us truly present.

3. Jesus is truly present
    in the Eucharist –
    in His Divinity and humanity.

4. We receive a tremendous
    gift when we receive
    the Eucharist.

5. Jesus outpours His grace when
    we go to the Eucharist.

6. Grace is receiving more of His
    life in us.

7. When we go to heaven, we
    will have the fullness
    of His life.

8. Jesus is the Son of God.

9. Jesus loves us so
    much.

Through the Eucharistic Sacrifice Christ the Lord desired to set before us in a very special way this remarkable union whereby we are united one with another and with our divine Head, a union that no word of praise can ever sufficiently express. For in this sacrifice the sacred ministers act not only as the representative of our Saviour, but as the representative of the whole Mystical Body and of each one of the faithful. Again, in this act of sacrifice, the faithful of Christ, united by the common bond of devotion and prayer, offer to the eternal Father through the hands of the priest, whose prayer alone has made it present on the altar, the Immaculate Lamb, the most acceptable victim of praise and propitiation for the Church’s universal need. Moreover, just as the divine Redeemer, while dying on the Cross, offered Himself to the eternal Father as Head of the whole human race, so now, ‘in this clean oblation’ He not only offers Himself as Head of the Church to His heavenly Father but in Himself His mystical members as well. He embraces them all, yes, even the weaker and more ailing members, with the deepest love of His Heart. (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS. XXXV, 232-233)
