Mysteries |
Pray for Chuck & other intentions.
Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Joyful Mysteries
The Annunciation
1. Luke 1: 26-38
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.
2. See the little house Mary lived in and picture yourself present
when the Angel Gabriel comes.
3. Use you heart and you can feel something magnificent when the Angel
Gabriel appears to Mary.
4. You are hidden, but you hear the conversation between Mary and the
Angel.
5. You are moved so deep in your heart. You are moved in this warm love
inside of you. Try to experience some of the excitement of Mary of such
an earth-moving event.
6. This is the Father's Plan for human salvation, that Mary said “Yes”
and Mary conceived the child Jesus, through the power of the Holy
Spirit.
7. Mary loved the Father’s will, Mary said “yes” to the Angel and the
Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.
8. We pray for greater faith and love to believe what the Father wants
to tell us in greater faith.
9. We pray for a greater willingness to mold our lives around the
Father’s plan in our vocation.
10. We give our hearts to Mary’s Immaculate Heart and Jesus' Sacred
Heart.
We pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The Visitation
1. Luke 1: 39-45
Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’
2. We pray to the Holy Spirit to infuse His gifts of knowledge,
understanding, council, and wisdom on our intellect and to be filled
with greater love.
3. Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and
permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in
my heart.
4. In baptism we receive the supernatural virtues of faith, hope and
love, we ask the Holy Spirit to deepen these.
5. From baptism the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell in our graced,
baptized soul.
6. Supernatural knowledge is different from knowledge of history,
factual, natural knowledge.
7. The Holy Spirit breathed on the apostles, we ask the Holy Spirit to
move in us as a Divine breath.
8. Come Lord Jesus, fill our Hearts.
9. Sing: Come Holy Ghost
10. See Elizabeth’s excitement at seeing Mary and Jesus in Mary’s womb.
The Birth of Jesus
1. Luke 2: 15-20
Now it happened that when the angels had gone from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go to Bethlehem and see this event which the Lord has made known to us.’ So they hurried away and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. When they saw the child they repeated what they had been told about him, and everyone who heard it was astonished at what the shepherds said to them. As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.
2. Jesus came a baby!
3. We come a baby, we live the Christ-life in our life.
4. We put on Christ.
5. Galatians 2: 19-20
...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.
6. Jesus came to teach us, we were created in the
image and likeness of Jesus.
7. Sing : What Child is This
8. Sing: Angels we have Heard on High
9. Sing: We Three Kings
10. Sing: See the Eyes That Look at Mary
The Presentation in the Temple
1. Luke 2: 25-35
Now in Jerusalem there was a man named Simeon. He was an upright and devout man; he looked forward to the restoration of Israel and the Holy Spirit rested on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he had set eyes on the Christ of the Lord. Prompted by the Spirit he came to the Temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the Law required, he took him into his arms and blessed God; and he said:
Now, Master, you are letting
your servant go in peace
as you promised;
for my eyes have seen the salvation
which you have made ready
in the sight of the nations;
a light of revelation for the gentiles
and glory for your people Israel. As the child’s father and mother were wondering at the things that were being said about him, Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, ‘Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed—and a sword will pierce your soul too — so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare.'
2. Excerpt from August 10, 1994
R. Mary held the Child Jesus when he was a baby; she watched Him and cared for Him as a little boy; she was so attentive to the needs of her little Son. Will we ever know this connectedness between Their loving hearts? Do we know this oneness? The peering eyes on the way to Calvary tell the story. They tell the story of this oneness. They tell the story of her watching this horrid event of her beautiful baby Son and His horrible passion and death.
3. Excerpt from August 10, 1994
R. Her eyes! Oh, Mary, help me to see the love of Jesus through your eyes! You watched Him as a baby, you watched Him as a child. You watched Him grow into the beautiful man He became and you, Mary, watched Him all through this bitter passion and death. Your eyes saw the love that He gave for us. Now you come, Mary. You appear to tell us to go to this Son. You knew more than anyone His love to suffer so for us. You come and appear with blood in your eyes and tears running down your cheeks. You show me your sorrowful face, your young face, your old face, your joyful face. This was the face Jesus peered at as He walked His walk to Calvary. This was the face that appears now to tell us the story of His love this very day. I see your parade of faces, Mary, old and young, sorrowful and joyful. I see these faces that Jesus beheld. Your face tells the story of His love for us.
4. August 23, 19934
R. The bond between Jesus and Mary started when He was conceived. The bond between a mother and son or daughter is so strong because the child grows within the mother's womb.
5. Mary: I felt His life within my very body. This connection between myself and my Son began from the first moment of conception. For nine months I carried the Son of God growing within me. What joy, what honor, to carry the child Jesus within my womb! The Spirit filled my being constantly.
6. Carry His life within your being. Jesus wants to be alive in your very heart. The Spirit wants to be a force alive in your heart. The Spirit wants to permeate your very being and make you alive with the fire of God's love. The Father is present in your heart. Your Father loved you and molded you in your mother's womb. He cares for you as no other father ever cared for his child. You are His, created out of love.
7. You are truly a child of God and my most loved child. I mother you as I mothered my Son Jesus. Oh, little child of mine, turn to me as your most loving mother. Do not try to go it alone. From the love I have for Jesus, I will lead you to His precious Heart. Come to me and let me lead you to such close union with my Son! The Father is my Father, the Spirit my Spouse. Come and let me lead you to the unlimited love of God!
8. He truly guards you every minute of the day. His love is constant. Jesus is forever a burning furnace on fire for love of you. Come to His Heart through my Immaculate Heart. It is truly the love of Our Two Hearts that will lead you to such union with God!
9. I am the Immaculate Heart. I am your loving mother. I am here with you this moment. Take my hand and let me lead you to such union with God!
10. I am your Mother and I thank you for responding to my call.
Sing: Little Baby Hands and Feet
The Finding in the Temple
1. Luke 2: 41-52
Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was somewhere in the party, and it was only after a day’s journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.
It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he meant. He went down with them then and came to Nazareth and lived under their authority. His mother stored up all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature, and in favour with God and with people.
2. Seven Sorrows
3. Jesus Is Lost, In the Temple
Imagine the sufferings in Mary's heart when she realized the child Jesus was not with them. Think of how it would be to lose your child and not know where he was or if anything happened to him. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the child Jesus. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!
3. Mary: My Son was taken to the Temple for the feast of the
Passover. We lost my Son in the Temple. So many souls this day are in
deep darkness and have lost their way. They are dead in their hearts! I
pray to you to go out to this world and spread the good news! You are so
favored by God that you are given such great gifts! To hold them to
yourself is not to His liking! I beg you to spread this news, to pray
for courage, to do what He is asking you to do!
4. Mary is our Mother. We see her searching for Jesus when He was lost
in the temple. We need a motherly relationship with Mary, she loves us,
her little child.
5. We can honestly say, we need you, Mary, our Mother. We must go to her
Immaculate Heart and ask the Holy Spirit to mold us more and more in the
image of Jesus.
6. We can be chained, and stuck in past wounds, we need to recognize and
heal from. If we break a leg, that doesn’t go away. Hidden wounds, we
deny can cause addiction when the pain keeps coming up. When the pain
comes up we need to deal with it and not push it down using an
addiction.
7. Psalm 107, (read) Pray to God for mercy, ask for grace and
healing. Do not become chained in, ask God to help you break the chains.
Pray to the Holy Spirit for healing. Freedom is found in getting to the
root of the pain and healing.
8. Prayer for Healing Abuse and Wounds to Mary
Dear Mother Mary we love you and thank you for being our Mother of love. We want to heal from some past wounds that have much pain, we have denied. Like healing any physical wound, healing is necessary. We have denied the pain which has been deep inside and turned to addictions. Please help us to seek repentance and God’s mercy through your powerful intercession for our sins and ultimately with God’s grace forgive anyone who has abused or wounded us in our childhood, relationships, marriages and we pray for them too. Amen.
Please Mary, take us to your Immaculate Heart, dear Holy Spirit, please work in Mary’s heart, forming us more and more in the image of Jesus. Amen.
9. A Prayer to Jesus for Healing of Abuse and Pain
Oh Jesus, sometimes we feel lost and in pain and we use some addiction to take the pain away.
We want to heal from this pain in our past life, we have denied and be free to love as we should. Help us to see our problem and deal with it, with Your grace, help us to forgive those who wounded us and we ask for forgiveness for our sins in hurting others, who were wounded by us.We unite all our prayers to the Mass in the name of Jesus. Father, please forgive us and have mercy on us and outpour your grace. We pray in the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Mary our Mother with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory, Amen.
10. From the Prayer Manual
Holy Spirit Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit, almighty Sanctifier, God of love, who filled the Virgin Mary with grace, who wonderfully changed the hearts of the apostles, who endowed all Your martyrs with miraculous courage, come and sanctify us. Enlighten our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgment, set our hearts on fire, and preserve us from the misfortunes of resisting Your inspirations. Amen.
Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."
Sing song: Give me your Heart, oh Jesus, give me a heart like yours

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
