Pray for Chuck & other intentions.
Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Mysteries of Light
The Baptism of Jesus
1. Luke 3: 21-23
Jesus is baptised
Now it happened that when all the people had been baptised and while Jesus after his own baptism was at prayer, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in a physical form, like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, ‘You are my Son; today have I fathered you.’
When he began, Jesus was about thirty years old, being the son, as it was thought, of Joseph son of Heli,
2. Dear God, you are the Light of the world.
3. God is vast, eternal, all powerful, all wise, all loving, greater
than the universe. (says Fr. Joe)
4. Sometimes God gives us little special experiences of Himself.
5. These special treasures help us on our journey to see and know the
real treasure, Jesus Christ.
6. God wants a relationship with us, God the Father has a wonderful plan
for our vocation.
7. God has chosen us to be lights on this journey, loving Him and loving
others as ourselves.
Jesus is the Light of the world.
8. Jesus began His public life at the baptism on the Jordon.
9. See yourself there, see the beautiful day, the waters, a little
corner of the earth. The Father has a Plan for our life too.
Don’t get in the way through sin and rebellion.
Open your heart to Jesus, not focused on wounds of the past.
We can have traumatic wounds from
childhood, living in abusive addictive dysfunction.
The heart needs to be freed of survival tactics learned to
deal with this.
The beginning of Jesus’ public life is the beginnings needed
of freeing the human race of generational pain and the gift God comes to
give us in the Church and in the sacraments. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus
is the Light of the world.
Jesus comes to set us free!!
10. The Father has a Plan for our lives. The Father created us in the
image and likeness of God and has a plan in living our vocation to go to
heaven someday.
The Father’s will for us is to go to heaven some day.
Eve rebelled against God’s will. The devil told her she could
know as much as God.
The devil tells us we know it all.
We are here to know, love and serve God, thereby attain our
eternal salvation. Our parents were taught by their parents, they were
imperfect. Focus on God’s teachings for life.
These are the mysteries of light.
The Marriage at Cana
1. John
2: 1-10
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’ There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.’ They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said, ‘Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.’
2. The Father has a plan for our lives, focus on God’s will.
Mary is our spiritual Mother, she has powerful intercession,
Jesus shows us in this mystery.
3. The Holy Spirit works in Mary’s Immaculate Heart molding us more and
more in the image of Jesus.
4. Jesus’ first miracle of His public life was at the wedding in Cana.
5. We are to work in our families loving each other according to the
Father’s will and getting along.
6. The first miracle was at a wedding. Marriages and building a family
from mom and dad is a miracle from God.
7. Jesus turned water into wine. In families we are to be transformed
into a strong unit in growing more and more Christic.
8. God the Father is our heavenly Father, Mary is our spiritual Mother.
We are children of the Father in the Father’s family.
9. We receive a sharing in Divine life in baptism.
We live the Christ-life.
10. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, dwell in our graced, baptized soul.
These are the mysteries of light.
The Kingdom of God
1. Luke 10:2
And he said to them, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to do his harvesting.
2. Spiritual nourishment, so we do not waste our
precious days of our lives on bad moods and self-pity.
3. God gives us so much, the Mass, the Church, the priest, the Morning
Offering. Gems for our spiritual lives. Don’t take your focus off of
God.
4. Help us to preach the “Good News” to help build the Kingdom of God.
5. Use the Blue Books, Rosaries, the other books to keep our focus on
God’s Plan and living under Him in virtue.
6. There can be a shortage of those spreading the “Good News”, we pray
for those who are straddling the fence to get on the road leading to
building the Kingdom of God.
7. Matthew 11: 28-30
‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’
8. Matthew 4:3
and the tester came and said to him, 'If you are Son of God, tell these stones to turn into loaves.'
9. God put us here to do this work. Pray to the Holy Spirit to be courageous, to be strengthened to do this work.
A mustard seed is tiny, but it grows into a gigantic tree. God planted us here today to help build the Kingdom of God.
10. Go, Go, Go. Focus on God and the Father’s Plan for us!!
See through the Father’s eyes.
Matthew 13:33He told them another parable, 'The kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour till it was leavened all through.'
Matthew 13:47'Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet that is cast in the sea and brings in a haul of all kinds of fish.
These are the mysteries of light.
The Transfiguration
1. Mark 9: 2-8Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain on their own by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became brilliantly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus, ‘Rabbi,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and from the cloud there came a voice, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.
2. It was a mountain top experience for Peter, James and John on Mt.
Tabor.
The voice of the Father was heard, “This is My beloved Son in
whom I am well pleased, listen to Him.”
3. In this great event the apostle saw Jesus in transfigured light.
Before this He just looked like a normal man.
4. However, they saw Jesus teach and speak with authority, as only the
Divine God could do.
5. Also Jesus had worked so many miracles, but it was different seeing
Jesus transfigured on My Tabor.
6. It was very impressive the vision of Moses and Elijah.
7. Jesus was preparing them in a different, spectacular way for what was
to happen.
8. This may have helped prepare them for Jesus’ Death and Resurrection,
and seeing Jesus rise from the dead.
9. Jesus appeared at the Resurrection in His glorified body.
10. After the Transfiguration there would be the bitter passion for
Jesus and the apostles were not prepared or understood this.
In our life we see with veiled vision, but God may give us
mountain top experiences, but we never really know how magnificent
heaven is.
Strong faith helps us remain faithful to God. These are the
mysteries of light.
The Institution of the Eucharist
1. Matthew 26: 26-29
Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to the disciples. ‘Take it and eat,’ he said, ‘this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them saying, ‘Drink from this, all of you, for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. From now on, I tell you, I shall never again drink wine until the day I drink the new wine with you in the kingdom of my Father.’
2. We are so blessed to be given the Eucharist. Jesus comes to us under
the appearance of bread and wine.
3. Until the transfiguration, Jesus looked like a normal man, but did
teachings and worked miracles.
4. When we receive Jesus in the Eucharist, we believe in faith Jesus
comes to us under the appearance of bread and wine.
5. The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made present.
6. This is the Mystery God gives to us, Jesus truly present in the
Eucharist.
7. Jesus loves us so much He remains with us truly present in the
Eucharist.
8. Song: “I love you, Jesus”
9. Song: Your Presence Pervades my Soul
10. Song: In My Heart
Remember Mary’s old face.
From August 10, 1994
R. Her eyes! Oh, Mary, help me to see the love of Jesus through
your eyes! You watched Him as a baby, you watched Him as a child. You
watched Him grow into the beautiful man He became and you, Mary, watched
Him all through this bitter passion and death. Your eyes saw the love
that He gave for us. Now you come, Mary. You appear to tell us to go to
this Son. You knew more than anyone His love to suffer so for us. You
come and appear with blood in your eyes and tears running down your
cheeks. You show me your sorrowful face, your young face, your old face,
your joyful face. This was the face Jesus peered at as He walked His
walk to Calvary. This was the face that appears now to tell us the story
of His love this very day. I see your parade of faces, Mary, old and
young, sorrowful and joyful. I see these faces that Jesus beheld. Your
face tells the story of His love.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
