                R. Mary's response to God's will was
                    always a loving "yes" –

                Mary is the perfect handmaid of
                    the Lord.

                I listened to a group of 9 people praying
                    the rosary –
                    they were entirely in one mind
                        and one heart –
                    they sounded angelic –
                    They sat side by side and prayed –

                My soul doth magnify the
                    Lord and my soul rejoices
                    in God my Savior –   Luke 1: 46-47

                So beautiful –

                Jesus came a baby –

                Not a high and mighty –

                Jesus the Light of the World.

                Jesus, so little - a baby.

                Jesus came naked –
                Jesus came among the
                    beasts of the earth.

                Jesus is approachable –
                    not high and mighty.

                One mind and one heart –
                    in the Heart of Jesus.

                One in Him –

                United in peace and love –

                Wherever we are peace
                    and love –

                Focusing on Jesus –

                Love of brothers –

                Unity as members of a body –

                No deception –

                Without pride, anger,
                    envy, jealousy

                We see peace and justice in our readings.

                We see Jesus and Mary among people –
                    Jesus with the Apostles –

                We know Jesus came Himself to
                    this earth.

                Jesus took the nature of a slave –
                    He came with a human nature.

                We see the message of hope and
                    light in the readings –

                We see the message of intimacy
                    with God –

                We see us as people of God –
                    not the man who walks
                    alone –

                We see Christ came to us
                    plural – He loves us –
                    We have a calling to be one
                    amongst the people of God –

                We are to help the people of God by
                    walking amongst them as Christ
                    walked with His Apostles –
                    praying with them for the Church and
                        the world during retreats and
                        5ths and 13ths –
                    We are to be united in love in
                        our hearts –
                    We are to die to our selfish ways
                        and live the life of resurrection
                        in the Lord –

                Dear God,
                    Help us to see the higher things, to
                    see ourselves as being a person of
                    love and peace – to help lift others
                    as we pray united for the priests,
                    the hierarchy and the Church and the world –

                Oh God we love You so much.

                Yesterday Fr. Joe quoted from the
                    scriptures it said

                "All flesh will see the salvation of God"   Luke 3: 6

                Fr. Joe said how can this happen –
                    there are 7.3 billion people in
                    the world and he said it
                    increases at a rate of 200,000
                    a day –

                How is God going to do this?

                We see how God called people to
                    their vocation to help –

                We see John the Baptist prepared
                    the way for Jesus –

                John the Baptist worked for Jesus.
                John the Baptist said "Repent"

                Jesus walked on the earth –
                Jesus taught –
                Jesus worked –
                Jesus worked miracles –

                Jesus did this until it was the
                    time to return to His Father –

                Jesus shows us our lives are to
                    answer the Father's call –

                Jesus commissioned His Apostles
                    to go out and do His work –

                Fr. Joe said – today is the Feast
                    of St. Nicholas –
                    St. Nicholas did this –

                The Church continues to call
                    people to repent and
                    prepare our hearts for God.

                Fr. Joe said –
                    the year of mercy starts Tuesday,
                    that is tomorrow – the Feast
                    of the Immaculate Conception, December 8th.

                We are reconciled to God –

                We are reconciled by the blood of Jesus.

                We admit our sins –

                We pray for forgiveness for our sins –

                A person that learns to really forgive
                    others for their faults against them –
                    can understand more how we
                    offend God and need His mercy
                    for our offenses against Him –

                A person who is locked in unforgiveness –
                    is locked, frozen, bitter and
                    may not ever see themselves
                    as offending God and others –

                God comes to us in mercy –

                A person of unforgiveness –
                    sits and thinks people should
                    put up with their bad ways
                    and come to them and apologize
                    because they can do anything –
                    and they deserve people coming
                    to them to make up –

                This is not seeing how Jesus come to us –
                    Jesus comes in the Eucharist to us –
                    God gives us mercy –

                The high and mighty ones of pride –
                    do not apologize – they expect
                    people to put up with them –
                    and are angry when they are
                    not apologized to and made
                    a fuss over –

                The Christmas message shows us he
                    love of Jesus –

                Jesus comes to us –

                Sins of omission are sins –

                Offending God and others need repentance

                God comes to meet us in mercy – 
                God comes to meet us in our joy –
                God comes to meet us in our crosses –

                When we do our part. Fr. Joe says –
                    then we are part of this

                    " All flesh shall see the salvation
                    of God"   Luke 3: 6

                R. Jesus called Fr. Carter to give us this message
                    to spread love to the world –

                Jesus is the Good Shepherd –

                R. As we are filled more with grace
                the various infused virtues take
                deeper root – we become more one
                in living in God.

                    Dear God help us to live more
                and more deeply in You.

                    The life of Christ lived more
                and more in us – to have deeper
                faith, hope and love.

         

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

    I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

    I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

    When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

Now we see only reflections in a mirror, mere riddles, but then we shall be seeing face to face. Now I can know only imperfectly; but then I shall know just as fully as I am myself known. 

                R. Come Holy Spirit enlighten our minds and
                strengthen our hearts.

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord

                R. Fr. Carter said Jesus called
                Handmaids and Servants of the
                Good Shepherd.

                for us.

                R. We seek to know more deeply,
                insight into the hidden mysteries –

                    We are transformed into a
                greater likeness of Christ –

                    In faith we are more and more committed
                to God and the truth of God Look
                at Abraham – we see how he was
                willing to sacrifice his son Isaac –

Hebrews 11: 1-40

The exemplary faith of our ancestors

Only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of realities that are unseen. It is for their faith that our anestors are acknowledged.

   It is by faith that we understand that the ages were created by a word from God, so that from the invisible the visible world came to be.

   It was because of his faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain, and for that he was acknowledged as upright when God himself made acknowledgement of his offerings. Though he is dead, he still speaks by faith.

   It was because of his faith that Enoch was taken up and did not experience death: he was no more, because God took him; because before his assumption he was acknowledged to have pleased God. Now it is impossible to please God without faith, since anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and rewards those who seek him.

   It was through his faith that Noah, when he had been warned by God of something that had never been seen before, took care to build an ark to save his family. His faith was a judgement on the world, and he was able to claim the uprightness which comes from faith.

   It was by faith that Abraham obeyed the call to set out for a country that was the inheritance given to him and his descendants, and that he set out without knowing where he was going. By faith he sojourned in the Promised Land as though it were not his, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. He looked forward to the well-founded city, designed and built by God.

   It was equally by faith that Sarah, in spite of being past the age, was made able to conceive, because she believed that he who had made the promise was faithful to it.

Because of this, there came from one man, and one who already had the mark of death on him, descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore which cannot be counted.

   All these died in faith, before receiving any of the things that had been promised, but they saw them in the far distance and welcomed them, recognising that they were only strangers and nomads on earth. People who use such terms about themselves make it quite plain that they are in search of a homeland. If they had meant the country they came from, they would have had the opportunity to return to it; but in fact they were longing for a better homeland, their heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, since he has founded the city for them.

   It was by faith that Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He offered to sacrifice his only son even though he had yet to receive what had been promised, and he had been told: Isaac is the one through whom your name will be carried on. He was confident that God had the power even to raise the dead; and so, figuratively speaking, he was given back Isaac from the dead.

   It was by faith that this same Isaac gave his blessing to Jacob and Esau for the still distant future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, bowed in reverence, as he leant on his staff. It was by faith that, when he was about to die, Joseph mentioned the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his own remains.

   It was by faith that Moses, when he was born, was kept hidden by his parents for three months; because they saw that he was a fine child; they were not afraid of the royal edict. It was by faith that, when he was grown up, Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter and chose to be ill-treated in company with God's people rather than to enjoy the transitory pleasures of sin. He considered that the humiliations offered to the Anointed were something more precious than all the treasures of Egypt, because he had his eyes fixed on the reward. It was by faith that he left Egypt without fear of the king's anger; he held to his purpose like someone who could see the Invisible. It was by faith that he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood to prevent the Destroyer from touching any of their first-born sons. It was by faith they crossed the Red Sea as easily as dry land, while the Egyptians, trying to do the same, were drowned.

   It was through faith that the walls of Jericho fell down when the people had marched round them for seven days. It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies and so was not killed with the unbelievers.

   What more shall I say? There is not time for me to give an account of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, or of David, Samuel and the prophets. These were men who through faith conquered kingdoms, did what was upright and earned the promises. They could keep a lion's mouth shut, put out blazing fires and emerge unscathed from battle. They were weak people who were given strength to be brave in war and drive back foreign invaders. Some returned to their wives from the dead by resurrection; and others submitted to torture, refusing release so that they would rise again to a better life. Some had to bear being pilloried and flogged, or even chained up in prison. They were stoned, or sawn in half, or killed by the sword; they were homeless, and wore only the skins of sheep and goats; they were in want and hardship, and maltreated. They were too good for the world and they wandered in deserts and mountains and in caves and ravines. These all won acknowledgment through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised, since God had made provision for us to have something better, and they were not to reach perfection except with us.

                R. We seek to know God more and
                more deeply on a supernatural
                level – Our knowing and loving
                capacity is elevated in baptism –
   

                R. We live more deeply the Christ-life –

                We life our life in Christ –

                Come Holy Spirit fill us with love –

                Open our hearts to be naked
                    before you –

January 5, 1997

Baby, Bare Baby, Laid Bare

R. On January 5, 1997, I was wakened by Our Lord and He was mumbling as He was around my bed as He did on October 8, 1997, when He delivered the "Seedless, Barren, No Fruit on the Vine" message.

I heard Him and He repeated the words over and over again. I had a copy of the all-night message on the floor, I jumped from the bed and began to write around the message, for it was the only paper available and He was speaking very plainly and direct. I wrote this message in the margins of the paper. He kept repeating "BABY, BARE BABY, LAID BARE".

Jesus:  Open yourself, Oh Jerusalem, your time is come you will be a light to the people in darkness, many will walk whence you come and the earth will be shakened and the light will come across a dark sky and enlighten their minds.

Oh stiff-necked people, you are so stiff in your ways, let the spirit envelope you and lead you on your way.

A country of stiffs, a people of planning and prodding, of deliberating and wondering—you lack faith, Jerusalem, you lack faith in God.

Oh walk naked into the cold night, you are cold in your hearts and naked in your clothing—I cloth you with glory, I light your face with light, but you turn your cheeks to the darkness and stay stiff-necked in your hearts. Oh cold and dark hearts, reach for the light that you may know the glory that awaits the sinners and enlightens their minds.

                R. We are always seeking truth –

                We want the truth in us –

                The gift of knowledge of the Holy Spirit
                    help us to see ourselves and
                    what we need to change to
                    be more holy –

                The light of God is in our hearts –

                We no longer walk in darkness –

                This is a time of year, at Christmas
                to focus on the light of knowing
                God more and more deeply –
                of asking God to come and fill
                us with light –
                of embracing the message to
                    be prepared –

                For we know not when
                    the Lord is coming.
