10 year Anniversary of Our Lady of Clearwater

Messenger:           Dear Friends,

                                Well we have a very limited amount of
                            crucifixes carved by Felix Avalos who
                            carved the magnificent crucifix on
                            the site.

                                 These crucifixes will be sold in Florida
                            on a first come, first serve basis for $750.
                            It is indeed a gift for your home, Church,
                            priest, school, nursing home.

                                 When the crucifixes are sold we can
                            take orders for ones for you, but
                            we have some for Christmas.

                                December 17, 2006 is the 10 year
                            anniversary of Our Lady of Clearwater's
                            appearance.

                                We will have a very important prayer
                            service that day at 6:20 praying for
                            the priests, the Church and the world.
                            We ask you to please come and pray with
                            us.

                                Also we will have a procession around
                            the building.

                                Now we are sending the Newsletter to
                            78,000 priests for Christmas with this
                            new book of prayers for all of us and
                            those suffering in hospice, nursing homes,
                            hospitals. The book is so beautiful
                            written by Fr. John J. Pasquini with
                            the Imprimatur.

Resting in God

Only in You, Lord, will I find rest.

I desired happiness, yet recognized that life comes

with suffering?

I searched high and low for meaning and purpose.

I sought it in power, and found it fleeting, disappointing, poisonous and empty.

I sought fame, and found it paralyzing and self-absorbing.

I sought fortune, and found it addictive and never enough.

I chased and chased and chased till I could no longer chase.

I was conquered.

And in this conquest, I was given victory;

for in You I found my peace.

Amidst hatred, You gave me the gift of forgiveness.

Amidst injury, You gave me patience.

Amidst doubt, You gave me insight.

Amidst sadness, You gave me hope.

Amidst depression, You gave me consolation.

Amidst greed, You gave me generosity.

Failures

O Lord, grant me the grace to accept the failures and lost opportunities of the past. 

Grant me the humility to accept that I am no longer

the provider, but the one that needs to be provided for.

May my sorrows and grief be moments of freedom and detachment in order to receive the gift of Your peace.

Grace me with the gift of working through my anguish and anxiety, of fulfilling my capacity to accomplish Your will—even when Your will is difficult to perceive.

 

Numb

I feel weak, numb, thin.

My self-esteem has been damaged.

I cannot smile.

I am no longer what I was.

I feel overwhelmed with a sense of loss and depression.

My financial and physical burdens are overwhelming

and dismaying.

I miss my children, my spouse, my life as it was.

What does the future hold?

Will I see my old age?

Will my job be there for me?

Are all my future dreams a thing of the past?

What will happen to my family?

What has my suffering brought upon others?

May I see my difficulties as a means of appreciating the truly important things of life.
