February 15th Holy Spirit Novena
Scripture selection is Day 9 Period I.The Novena Rosary Mysteries for February 15th are Glorious.
Messenger:
Help us to forgive —
Healing will begin in our hearts when
we forgive.
Our attitudes of unforgiveness can hold
our heart bound like a mummy.
The secret is in knowing, for me, God's
presence within me — I know if
I am in the state of grace, since
I am baptized, that God the Father,
Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwell in me in
a very special way.
When I am awakened even by an
unexpected phone call in the
night, I know God dwells in
me.
I pray, Jesus told me to pray today —
He is my Valentine —
Pray, pray, pray, maybe we think
life should be this way or
that — no problems, more
excitement — what is God's
will for me —
We do God's will.
Jesus speaks:
A man married a woman and he wanted
always excitement, after a couple
years of marriage he blamed her
because he felt let down at
the ordinariness of life —
Sometimes people who grew up in dysfunctional
homes are addicted to excitement,
Every day they get up — look for
a problem to be angry and tense
and then they are experiencing
what is familiar to them, but
they are always, literally, looking
for tense-trouble — what a life —
Some have been in such tense homes
they were forced to isolate to get
away from arguing, abusive,
maybe alcoholic parents — so
they only feel safe when they are
away from people by themselves.
To them it is hard to be with another
in peace unless it involves
some excitement/opposite sex —
a burning desire to get the other
to fill their hungry wounded
love desire inside —
Some people expect others to be the one
that will help them feel peace —
peace doesn't come from others
bringing us candy and flowers
even though it is nice to
have that —
interior peace comes from how mature
one becomes in relating in love
to God and others — living in
unity, love and peace
Being like a baby wanting someone else
to give you peace and fill your needs
is not the way to peace — it
is a fiendish - fixation that keeps
somebody stuck —
It usually rises from childhood
homes where dysfunction was
present —
No one can give you the peace and
love your heart craves but
Me —
Babies can cry for attention
Adults should work on their own
interior peace rooted in
Me and doing the Father's will —
If you think what you are doing,
is the Father's will why don't
you accept it and have fun!!
Doing God's will in love brings peace.
Not living according to God's will
brings pain, suffering and
a feeling of disharmony that
makes you want to get out
of it!
A man was doing God's will, but it
affected many souls — the devil
pressed on him and pressed on
him — when he gave into the
devil once and went away he was
so miserable away not doing
God's will he came back —
When he came back the devil tried
to press harder — the devil knew
he got away with it before —
The only answer for the man to stay in
his vocation was to fight the devil's
temptations by a deeper love
union with Me.
He fought the devil — he became
closer to me — to think you
only need worry about your
relationship with Me isn't
right entirely —
You must learn to love God with
your whole heart, your whole soul and
your whole being and love your neighbor as yourself.
Don't give into satan — he
moves in like hungry dogs
in the basement — if you open
the door a crack — he breaks
the chain and comes out barking.
Use My messages and Blue Books — you
can't give into satan to
try to get you to divide —
it's hard work and takes love
to be one — to do God's will —
not decide to isolate against God's will —
you aren't
happy then —
Satan can work in people who
isolate — he tries to tempt them
by talking in their heads —
Just do God's will —
be in community when it is
God's will
alone when it is God's will —
You know the difference, many of you
just give in like rolling
water going down a hill —
satan tempts — you follow —
I am a God of peace —
You can't give into your old ways
of acting ——
unforgiveness —
It is hard to discipline your will
pray for grace and you must
want to do the right thing —
Never lie to your superior —
That is a stumbling block —
Lies, not telling the truth to
do what you want, when
you know it isn't what
you are supposed to do.

Feast of St. Scholastica
Sorrowful Mysteries
Song: The Rosary Song
The Agony in the Garden
1. Messenger: Put yourself in the garden with Jesus, in the darkened night. Be there as He kneels and sees before Him His entire Passion that is about to occur.
2. Messenger: Jesus' Heart was in such anguish for all the souls that would treat Him so indifferently and neglect Him. He loved them so dearly! So many that turned their backs on Him. So many that ignored Him their whole lives.
3. Messenger: Look at our world today! Look at the faces of the people that we see. Jesus loved the souls so much. He went through His bitter Passion and died on the cross for them! We must pray for these souls. We must spread the message of His great love throughout this world. We must have a close relationship with Jesus. He will use us to reach souls. The world is hurting.
4. Messenger: Jesus saw before Him everything that He would experience through the entire Passion. His greatest agonies were not those agonies that He suffered to His body, but the agonies that He suffered to His Most Sacred Heart.
5. Messenger: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, remains with us this day! God remains with us in His Divinity and humanity in the tabernacle! He saw before Him the endless hours that He would wait and wait for His most precious souls that He loved and how the souls would not come to the tabernacle to even be with Him.
6. Messenger: Jesus waits for us, His precious souls, to be with Him. He waits day after day in the tabernacle out of greatest love for us. He waits. He is no less present than the day that He was in the garden. He calls out to us to come to Him. He pours out His grace to us in abundance when we come and sit in front of the tabernacle. Can we wait one hour with Him! We have twenty-four hours a day but we cannot spend one hour and be with Him. The hour of power! The hour that He gives us abundant graces. We are too busy for the Son of God!
7. Messenger: Jesus' agony was so great that His sweat became as great drops of blood upon the ground.
8. Messenger: Mary wants to lead us to the deep love of her Son. She wants us to have deep union with Him.
9. Messenger: Jesus loves us so much. He gives us Himself, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist.
10. Sing: I Love You Jesus - verse 1
Song: A Song from Jesus - refrain
Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar
1. Messenger: As a little innocent lamb led to the slaughter, they led Jesus to the pillar and they tied Him to the pillar.
2. Messenger: Hear the blows as they hit Jesus' back and tore His flesh! Listen! Think of Jesus standing at the pillar and listen. Do you hear the beating of Jesus?
3. Messenger: Jesus did not fight back! Jesus accepted all that they gave Him! He came to show us the way.
4. Messenger: Jesus loved those who beat Him! Imagine the immense heartache that He suffered knowing that the very men that beat Him were the souls that He loved so dearly. They beat Him to their own exhaustion. Jesus gave His life for these men.
5. Messenger: Jesus' body was covered from the top of His head to His feet with bleeding wounds that they had given to Him! But His greatest agonies were not the agonies that He received to His body, but the agonies that He received to His Sacred Heart for all the souls that would reject Him, treat Him indifferently, neglect Him. Many do not even think about Him. Many souls sin continually, many never turn to Jesus!
6. Messenger: As He suffered so for our sins, He was comforted by the acts of love that we give to Him today.
7. Messenger: Do we realize that Jesus came to this earth and took on a human nature. That He was born a baby for love of us! Do we realize that God the Father sent His only Son into this world so that we could be saved? Do we realize that Jesus, the Son of God, died for us?
8. Messenger: Spirit of God, descend upon us! Open our eyes, where we are blind, let us see more with the vision of God.
9. Messenger: Spirit of God, fill us with Your grace to know and love God more. Jesus stood at the pillar in a puddle of blood that He shed for love of us!
10. Then he released Barabbas for them. After having Jesus scourged he handed him over to be crucified. Matthew 27: 26
Jesus is Crowned with a Crown of Thorns
1. Messenger: Jesus' flesh was so wounded! Jesus was so covered with blood and they put on Him a dirty purple robe. They gave Him a scepter to hold. They pounded into His precious head a sharp crown of piercing thorns!
2. Messenger: Red blood ran down His face! Jesus was crowned with thorns and bled so for love of us!
3. Messenger: We do not know of the immense love that Jesus has for us. He came to this earth. He took on a human nature for love of us. He suffered through the Passion and shed blood! He calls us to come and spend time with Him. He is a burning furnace of endless love waiting to be so close to us. They spit on Him. They hollered at Him. Jesus took everything that they did to Him. He came to show us the way, to love those that persecute us. We complain many times when He gives us crosses.
4. Messenger: Jesus wants us to meditate on His life and the life of His Mother so that we will more and more live the mysteries. Live the mysteries of His life!
5. Messenger: Live the mysteries of the rosary in our daily lives. Our lives should be centered around the lives of Jesus and Mary. We should ask ourselves, "Would Jesus act this way?"
6. Messenger: Jesus' way is not easy. Many times we say "This is too hard." We think we do not have to love that person. We complain about a person. How would Jesus treat that person?
7. Messenger: Jesus took all the treatment that they gave to Him. He was the King of Kings! He was the Son of God! They spit on God!
8. Jesus' way is the way of love, He is love, always love! He showed us how He treated those who persecuted Him and put Him to death! He always loved! He did not fight back. He loved those men dearly that scoffed at Him, that hit Him, that poked at Him. They finally crucified Him to His death!
9. Song: Crown Him with Many Crowns
10. Messenger: Holy Spirit, transform us more into the image of Jesus so that we may be led closer to the Father.
Song: Only this I want, but to know the Lord
Jesus Carries His Cross
1. Messenger: They stood around Jesus! They poked at Him! He stood there with His hands tied, a look of perfect peace on His face! A look of such hatred and anger on their faces, poking at Jesus! But Jesus was at perfect peace. He knew the love of His Father!
2. Messenger: They gave to Jesus a heavy cross that they put on His shoulder. It was so heavy that it felt as if His shoulder would break! He carried His cross without complaining. What does He ask of us? To carry our cross. "God, that is too hard", we may say. I could not do that! He walked with His cross on His back. He tells us to follow Him. We must be loving and carry our cross in love.
3. Messenger: He died. He rose on the third day! In our sufferings we die and rise to new life, if we suffer with Him.
4. Messenger: The same child Mary held in her arms was covered with blood and crowned with thorns. Mary watched Him with a cross on His back! See through her eyes! Jesus Christ, the Son of God, walked with this cross on His back for greatest love of us. He loves us this much. He wants us to come ever closer to His Most Sacred Heart, the Heart of endless, burning love.
5. Messenger: Mary's eyes peered into the eyes of her Beloved Son Jesus. She saw Him in all His sufferings, and He saw her in all her sufferings. See through Mary's eyes! Put yourself there as He carried the cross on His back! Put yourself there and see the blood running down His face! Put yourself there and see Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Who walked with the weight of the sins of the world on His back for love of us!
6. Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary
7. Messenger: Mary wants us to draw ever closer to her Son. The more we grow in union with Him, the more we become one in Him, the more He operates through us. He wants to be one in us! He wants to love through us!
8. Messenger: See Mary, see her as she watches her Son! She cannot help Jesus, her Beloved Child! Mary is our Mother, she leads us to Jesus. We must shine as lights in this world.
9. Messenger: See through the eyes of Jesus' beloved Mother Mary. Jesus Christ, who loves us with the most tender Heart. He wants us to be ever closer to the burning furnace of His Heart on fire for love of us. He loves us so dearly. We seek. We wander. We roam. We look for all those things to fill us when the only thing that fills the hungry soul is the love of God.
10. Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary
Jesus is Crucified and Dies on the Cross
1. Messenger: See Mary as she holds the child Jesus in her arms and looks at His tender hands and feet. See Mary now as she stands under the cross and watches. She sees the nails they had pounded into His hands and feet.
2. Messenger: Jesus and Mary's Hearts are the two Hearts of immense love! Mary has such love for each one of us! She suffered so! We cannot even imagine what it would be like to stand under the cross of our beloved son and watch him hang for three agonizing hours to his death!
3. Messenger: Mary loves each one of us so much. Jesus loves us so much. Jesus longs and thirsts and waits for us to come and be with Him in front of the tabernacle. In our busy lives many do not make time to be alone with Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God! But He waits and longs for us.
4. Messenger: Jesus is the Son of God! He gave His life for each one of us! He died on the cross! He gave His flesh! He gave His Blood! But He gives Himself today. God gives Himself to us creatures! He gives Himself to us to be in such union with Him in the Eucharist and we treat this so lightly. Jesus is truly God! He gives Himself to us and we run from His altar and take His presence so lightly!
5. Messenger: Spirit, descend on us! Open our eyes so that we may see more and more as He sees. Jesus is truly present in the consecrated host.
6. Messenger: Holy Spirit descend upon us! Open up our hearts. Fill us with Your wisdom and knowledge and Your understanding so that we may know more the things of God.
7. Messenger: Jesus gave the last drop of His Blood and the last beat of His Heart! They punctured His head with sharp thorns! They pounded into His hands and into His feet gigantic nails! He gave His Body and His Blood. He gave His all for love of us. In total surrender, He spread His arms. Jesus asks us to love. He gave His all for love of us. He gave us so much. How can we turn away? How can we judge our brothers and hate our brothers? See Jesus as He hangs on the cross. He gave the last drop of His Blood and the last beat of His Heart for love of us. God sent His only Son into the world. We are all brothers in Christ. Jesus died for our brothers too.
8. Messenger: Jesus hung to His death. They took His body down and handed His lifeless body to His Mother. Mary held the child Jesus in the Temple when Simeon prophesied that she and Jesus would suffer. She held that tender little baby and knew from that time on of the immense sufferings to come. Every time she looked at Jesus, she knew He would suffer. They gave Mary the blood-covered body of Jesus under the cross. Jesus gave His all. Mary suffered and Jesus suffered. He showed us the way to comply to the will of the Father. For to His death, He did the father's will. Mary always compiled to the will of the Father. It is in living according to the Father's will that we will all be happy. God wants us to be one. The Father created each one of us uniquely special with such love. He has had a plan from the day we were born for each and every one of us. He calls out to us today to join ourselves ever closer to the Heart of Jesus Christ for it is in this union that we will be led closer and closer to the love of the Father!
9. Song: At the Cross her Station keeping
10. Song: Were You There
This rosary was prayed before the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows just prior to the Friday evening prayer service at the Holy Spirit Center. A large group participated in the rosary. Mary appeared.
