For years I have received Shepherds of Christ Newsletter; I do not know who put me on your mailing list, but I’m grateful to you both. Since I first began to receive the newsletter I have been assigned as the Director of Formation Advising for the Pontifical North American College in Rome.

    1.    I was very said to learn of the death of Fr. Edward Carter. He died 
          in the year 2000 but I had not realized this till I got your letter. I think 
          Fr. Carter was an extraordinary man, doing an extraordinary work. I 
          am so glad that you and others continue this inspiring ministry.

    2.    Over the past few years, I have been the recipient of many 
           kindnesses from your organization which I wish to acknowledge 
           with warm thanks and appreciation.

    3.    I feel sorry that, for various reasons, I can do little to help financially.
          However, if I can offer some masses (about 15) for the intentions 
          for your organization for which stipends may be available at your 
          end and which could be used as a contribution to your finances, I

                        and not straight ahead. His body was straight, but his 
                        head was turned to the side).

The door to My heart is open. My beloved ones are  missing the door. They are doing their own thing. They  are not coming through the door, they are lining up and  bumping into the building. Why are they willful? They  want to do it themselves. They do not surrender. They do  not realize they must pray to the Spirit. They must be led  by God. You must become one in Me and let Me operate  your hearts. You are all doing your own thing. Only in unity  will My Center light up this world. I look to the east—for  you are off-center. You are bumping into the building and  missing the entryway.

                            You can only enter My Mother's house with hearts of love. 
                        If you have hatred, anger, selfishness, or self-promotion as 
                        your goal here, you will miss the entryway. You are bumping 
                        into the building. In three days I can destroy the temple and 
                        build it again. You do your own things. You do not listen to 
                        Me and My Mother. You are blind. I come and tell you My 
                        ways in these letters. I beg you all to read these letters. I beg 
                        you to pray from your hearts, to realize that My City is built 
                        on Love.

                            Love, Love, Love. Your city will shine with the love of God
                        in your hearts when you come to My tabernacle. Pray these 
                        rosary meditations with My Mother and Me. I am giving you 
                        a key to light the city. These messages need to circulate and be 
                        supported. If you continue to go without My messages, with- 
                        out reading and supporting them, you will bump into the building. 
                        My power is a power too mighty to be contained. I am dealing

                            These letters are for all there. I beg you, beg you to listen.

                        way. You are looking for your answers in the wrong places. I am 
                        Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I want to light your city with My 
                        love—My love radiating from your hearts.

                            You need to pray with the heart. I am giving you Rosary 
                        meditations on My life and My Mother's life. She is appearing 
                        as Our Lady of Light at the Center. Come to the Rosary. We are 
                        there with you at 6:30. Support this Rosary. People need to pray 
                        every day. Please publish the rosary meditations. I am Jesus and 
                        I have spoken. You will continue to bump into the building and 
                        miss the entryway if you ignore these letters. I write to you daily. 
                        They need to be read and circulated. My city will shine with My 
                        love, radiating from all hearts that go there. I am Jesus and I have 
                        spoken.

                            Please give this letter to—anyone involved in spreading My  
                        deep love at the Center. I call you all as apostles to go into this 
                        world and spread My love radiating through you, through the

February 19, 2002 message continues Messenger:            Mary told us we must pray the rosary and                             consecrate our hearts to Their two Hearts.                                 Mary appeared every day for over eight months                             in 1995 at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center.                             This was an old seminary.

It would be very difficult for a little child                             to go through life without their mother. My                             mom died when I was five. She was the person                             most important to me. My dad and mom had                             five children, I was the youngest. After she died                             it was really hard on my dad and the family.                             Way back then when she died they didn't talk                             so much about grieving and sharing feelings. I                             was focused on heaven at a very early age                              because I knew my mama went there.

Messenger:            The veil between here on earth and in heaven
                            became thinner. My life has been that journey
                            to have a wider vision of heaven and of earth,
                            to understand my heavenly Mother
                            Mary, my real mother who died and my step
                            mother who was very religious.

After the death of my mom, my dad began to see we got to Mass every day, we went to Benediction twice a week, confession and we prayed the rosary and other prayers to the Holy Spirit and St. Joseph. We prayed the rosary every day as a family. I knew the mysteries of the rosary really well. We had a big statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus about 24" tall. We had a picture of Mary and a beautiful small statue of her. We had a calendar with the Sacred Heart on it. My dad suffered a lot from the loss of my mom, my mom was only 48 years old. My real mother was very religious, she went to daily Mass when she could and her prayer book was very worn on the pages because she used it so much.

                                I never once was angry my dad prayed or
                            took us to Church or made us walk up to
                            confession every week. I had a great love of
                            the Eucharist from the beginning. God filled
                            my empty soul when my mom died. I felt
                            that deep loss of my mother's love and Jesus
                            in the Eucharist really fed me.

Messenger:            When babies are little we teach them how
                            to eat. A big part of the babies life is
                            learning to eat and eating. Food is for their
                            physical life. They need food to live.
                            Babies are taught about food.

                                The Bread of life is the Eucharist and
                            His Word.

John 6: 35-59

Jesus answered them:

I am the bread of life.
No one who comes to me will ever hunger;
no one who believes in me will ever thirst.
But, as I have told you,
you can see me and still you do not believe.
Everyone whom the Father gives me
    will come to me;
I will certainly not reject

not to do my own will,
but to do the will of him who sent me.

The Word of God

    "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep and runs away as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; this is because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep." (Jn 10:11-15¹)

    A faithful shepherd takes care of his sheep in all their needs. This includes providing them with the proper food. Jesus, the perfect Shepherd, abundantly provides for the nourishment of His flock. In the Eucharist, He gives Himself in His body, blood, soul, and divinity, for our spiritual growth. He also feeds us through His word, through His teaching. The gospel of John, in Chapter 6:35-59, combines both of these ways, Christ nourishing us through His teaching and through the Eucharist. This particular section of John's gospel gives us Jesus' great discourse on the Bread of Life. The first part, verses 35-50, speaks of the teaching of Jesus as nourishment. This first part contains, therefore, the so-called sapiential theme. The second part, versus 51-59, speaks of the Eucharist as our heavenly nourishment. This part, therefore, contains the sacramental theme.

    Concerning the teaching of Jesus which has been left to His Church, the Second Vatican Council states: "But in order to keep the gospel forever whole and alive within the Church, the apostles left bishops as their successors, 'handing over their own teaching role' to them. This sacred tradition, therefore, and sacred Scripture of both the Old and the New Testament are like a mirror in which the pilgrim Church on earth looks at God, from whom she has received everything, until she is brought finally to see Him as He is, face to face."²

    We priests have a special privilege and responsibility to nourish ourselves with the teachings of Jesus. The more we meditate on this teaching, the more we love it, the more we ourselves live it, the more apt instruments we become in assisting the Good Shepherd in the feeding of His flock.

Messenger:             The children in the Church need to know 
                            they are nourished by the Eucharist and the
                            Word of God.

                                I must tell you of a very close friend
                            I know who is helping so many youth. He
                            was in the Catholic Church and now he
                            isn't. He could be leading them to the
                            Eucharist besides all the really
                            wonderful things they are doing.

                                What a Gift—God is Truly Present.
                                What a gift that God gives the priest
                                to change bread and wine into His
                                Body and His Blood.

                                We can teach little children so much when
                            they are little. They can learn to love Jesus and
                            Mary. There are many people that were going to
                            other churches after being baptized Catholic
                            and they went back to the Catholic Church
                            after they received a Blue Book.

                                Is our focus teaching the youth about
                            the True Presence? Is our focus in teaching
                            youth about the gifts given to us in the Church.

                                Do we give into the world that shows
                            parents as weak and then a child has trouble
                            realizing they need a spiritual Mother and
                            a spiritual Father. In trying to help the
                            youth to "grow up" do we make the parents
                            enemies because we criticize the parents
                            and show them as weak?
                            Are children that are docile and loving
                            taught to befriend teachers and classmates
                            and look at the parents as faulty?
                            Breaking up ties between parents and
                            children at any age can hurt both children
                            and parents. Is our focus on television which
                            is filled with violence and argumentative talk
                            shows run by people that do not live in the 
                            truth and comedy skits on late shows making
                            jokes about God, the ultimate authority, and
                            many other vices? Should the focus be on
                            poor parental skills when so much evil is
                            in the world? What should the Catholic 
                            schools do? They should help students
                            rely on God.

                                The Catholic schools should teach the
                            children about Mary as their mother.
                            They should try to help the students to 
                            realize their dependency on God.
                            In dealing with the students who do not
                            believe, do schools wash down the truth
                            and jeopardize the other ones, large in
                            number, who come from homes where
                            traditional Catholic teaching was taught.

                                People have appetites for food and
                            sex, why did God give me the message
                            "Feed the hungry" for all those weeks 
                            in September/October 1991 and
                            nothing else. Look at the sins. So many
                            come from a hungry soul filled with pain.

                                Jesus heals. The Eucharist and the
                            Word fills the hungry soul.

                                That veil between heaven and earth
                            is really so thin. In three short months
                            Fr. Carter was diagnosed with cancer and
                            was dead. One of the apostles told the
                            story of a little girl, I think he said 5 years
                            old, got a temperature of 104 degrees, the
                            mother took her to the hospital and she
                            died right away. They said it was a virus.
                            She was buried last week.

                                A car wreck, a young man one day gets
                            cancer. Our lives are so fragile. We do not
                            know the time nor the hour. 

                            God picked Fisherman.

                            How many can we catch?

                            How big is our net?

                            Do we look for the treasure in the field?

                            Do we tell young men how great it is to
                            have a vocation to the priesthood?

                            What about talking about Mary?

                            Why did Mary say we must pray the
                                rosary?

                            There have been so many virus' with
                                high fevers.

                            It is hard to have a child with a high
                                fever, we want to get them
                                healed right away.

                            What about the children with sick
                                hearts?

    today - Valentine's Day. 

It is a special gift of God's love to the Church.

To whom it may concern,
  

    We circulate the Priestly Newsletter that goes to 75,000 priests in the world. This has been circulated since 1994 at the direction of Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. who had a doctorate in Theology and taught at Xavier University for over thirty years and author of eighteen books on the spiritual life and many other various publications.

    Our primary purpose is to circulate this Newsletter. We are now sending three years of Newsletters in a book of 342 pages to 75,000 priests in the United States and 90 foreign countries. A special Newsletter is enclosed with Father Carter's powerful writing on Grace (2001 issue 1). This writing is also available on tape and on disc.

    Our coequal purpose is to circulate prayer manuals Father Carter compiled for prayer chapters praying for the priests, the Church and
the world.

    All of our printing and postage costs so much money.

    We operate from the Virgin Mary building in Clearwater, Florida, pictures are enclosed. We use the building to spread materials and rosaries
to encourage people to pray for the priests, the Church and the world.

    We also have a church we received from the diocese in China, Indiana where we distribute our materials and pray before the Blessed Sacrament hourly and about two hours or more at 6:20 every day. Monthly adoration before the exposed Eucharist is held for our members for 48 hours on the 12th of each month to the 14th.

    We have a third center in Morrow, Ohio which is our communication center and mailing address.

    We circulate rosaries handmade to Catholic schools all over the United States and meditation sheets and consecration cards. We try to send scapulars too when we have them. We supply many beads to our rosary makers for this.

    We had difficulty all last summer securing funds for beads for our rosary makers. We were not able to send the 100,000 or more rosaries we usually send in October and May because of funds.

    We need $10,000 every month for the loan on the Virgin Mary building. We pray nightly there usually for about two hours or more at 6:20. We pray all through the day there, hourly, many times before the image. A big prayer meeting is held on the 5th of the month. Prayers are prayed for about 4 hours for the priests, the Church and the world. We broadcast to at least 8 states and all join in the prayers, including Morrow and China.

    We have a nursing home ministry and a prison ministry. We supply coloring books of the rosary mysteries and the Mass to children.

    We desperately need funds for the printing and the rosary making operation and all the postage. Bishops from foreign countries beg for rosaries and prayer sheets with the Shepherds of Christ Prayers.

    Now we are struggling with the monthly rent on the building and the postage for the foreign mailing of the Priestly Newsletter Book II.

    We always need money for the rosary beads for the schools and the Virgin Mary building.

    We also do a Holy Spirit Novena, but the little book has been out of print for some time because of lack of funds. Teachers like to use it for confirmation. We have prayer chapters using it daily all over the world.

    We want to circulate pictures of the crucifix and Mary's image on the building, we are unable to do this because of lack of funds. Enclosed are pictures of the crucifix and the Virgin Mary building.

    A very important part of our Movement is trying to get people to say the Morning Offering. Here is a card we distribute extensively, especially to Nursing Homes and school children.

    Can you help us. It is a real shame to not even have rent on the building Mary appears on.

    We need to tell the world about the Mass. This is another important aspect of our ministry. We have so many writings about the Mass. Mass Book I with the Imprimatur—and all Fr. Carter's writings and many other writings discerned by Fr Carter before his death. 

    It is a shame with all the money in the world not to be able to get the rosary beads to the rosary makers for school children who want them to pray the rosary.

    Our movement is trying to do what Our Lady told us to do at Fatima for peace in the world.

Dear Rita,

            I just had to write to you, to tell you that you make me cry every morning. I say my rosary every day and then I read a paragraph a day in your book.

            First of all my daughter-in-law gave me your first volume of "God's Blue Book Teachings to Lift You Up" for Christmas that's when I started to cry. Your words are so true to life at least for me. You see I'm seventy-five years old, so I do have an awful lot in my past, that your book talks about me. And I have four daughters they are good girls, but they should read your books too.

            Today I'm reading your Volume 2 an excellent book I'm on page 24 Jesus Will Handle This One.

            I just had to write to you and say I wish I could meet you in person, you must be very special to write these books, because in my heart, when I read them I feel good and I do tell my daughters about them.

hi, wanted to tell you that your God's Blue Book  has greatly changed my life and belief in God, I have been beset with problems and had been an unbeliever for 12 years, now have been daily reading it at a prayer room for the Blessed Sacrament here in Manila and has been a constant source of consolation and Belief.....thanks.  
I want to know where I can get the prayer of Union with God, and also a copy of the God's Blue Book all three volumes and the prayers for the Holy Spirit.; Please inform me on how to avail of this because I want to share it with others.....thank you and hope also to know more about this organization and how to join it.....thank you again for propagating the Faith and will also do so in my own humble way....thank you again.....alex

LEVELS OF COMMITMENT

There are seven levels of commitment in the Shepherds of Christ Movement.

1. There are Associates who gather and pray at least once monthly as a group and also help with donations to support the Shepherds of Christ priestly newsletter. They can be tremendously involved. They give as they feel they are able.

2. Apostles are members who have restricted their apostolic activity to the Shepherds of Christ. They literally act as a body of lay people who have given their lives in their present living situation to do all that they can to bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart.

3. Prayer Apostles are often shut-ins, some are able to go to church and pray. They spend much of their lives praying for the Movement.

4. Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus are those who spend at least two separate hours weekly before the Blessed Sacrament praying for the following:

1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

2. For the Pope.

3. For all bishops of the world.

4. For all priests.

5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.

6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this Movement to the world.

7. For all members of the Catholic Church.

8. For all members of the human family.

9. For all souls in purgatory.

5. Handmaids of the Good Shepherd are young and older women who have given their lives in community primarily to pray for the Shepherds of Christ Movement and intentions and to be special spouses of Jesus. Some have more duties than others. All have the primary duty of prayer and the desire to be a special spouse of our Lord. One of the functions of the handmaids is the involvement in praying for and helping to circulate the priestly newsletter. The handmaids are not members of a religious order.  

6. Servants of the Good Shepherd are men who live in community with a lifestyle and purpose similar to that of the handmaids. The servants are not members of a religious order.   

7. We wish to form a special congregation of priests who will realize their great oneness with Christ. They will be consecrated deeply to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and support the Shepherds of Christ Movement as holy priests.
