Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11
There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven:
A time for giving birth,
a time for dying;
a time for planting,
a time for uprooting what has been planted.
A time for killing,
a time for healing;
a time for knocking down,
a time for building.
A time for tears,
a time for laughter;
a time for mourning,
a time for dancing.
A time for throwing stones away,
a time for gathering them;
a time for embracing,
a time to refrain from embracing.
A time for searching,
a time for losing;
a time for keeping,
a time for discarding.
A time for tearing,
a time for sewing;
a time for keeping silent,
a time for speaking.
A time for loving,
a time for hating;
a time for war,
a time for peace. What do people gain from the efforts they make? I contemplate the task that God gives humanity to labour at. All that he does is apt for its time; but although he has given us an awareness of the passage of time, we can grasp neither the beginning nor the end of what God does.
John 3: 1-2
There was one of the Pharisees called Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews, who came to Jesus by night and said, Rabbi, we know that you have come from God as a teacher; for no one could perform the signs that you do unless God were with him.
John 14: 16
I shall ask the Father,
and he will give you another Paraclete
to be with you for ever,
R. We are sorry when our loved one dies
We gather here to say good-bye
Friday Angie got the last rites
The family was so filled with
anxiety because it was sudden.
Angie went to lunch that day
she was on her way out
The apostles watched Jesus
teach and heal and Jesus ate with
them and then He told them
He would leave them.
God has His ways and His reasons
how He will take us
Our first reading tells us there is
a time to be happy and a
time to be sad and
a time to build
God has put the timeless in
our hearts
We must see ourselves,
in our whole lives,
and focus on eternity
St. John tells us we really do
share in God's life
If we live like God wants
we will live forever
In the Gospel
Jesus tells us do not let your
hearts be troubled
How can we not be troubled,
But Jesus died on the cross and
3 days later He rose from the dead
Saying goodbye is hard
we know we won't see
that person any more on
earth but saying
goodbye is not forever
when we love and serve God
together and do God's will, living in love
we will spend eternity together
Fr. Joe said Angie was a great Mother
he could tell that day,
she was surrounded by her
loving children last
Friday when she suddenly
was going to die
Fr. Joe saw how much she was loved
when he went to anoint her.
There is a time when our lives
will come to an end here
on earth
Let's pray for each other that
we will find a way that
leads us to eternal life
Saying good bye is hard
Let's pray for Angie and ourselves and
focus on the fact Jesus said
"I am the resurrection and the life"
Sing: I Am the Bread of Life
R. We pray for Pope Benedict XVI
We pray for caregivers that help
us when we are sick.
We pray for all those who have
helped us on our journey
here on earth to lead us to
eternal life
We ask You God the Father to
hear our prayer
through Jesus Christ, our Savior,
in the Holy Spirit, through the intercession
of Mary and the Angels and Saints
Sing: Hail Mary Gentle Woman
R. We pray for all our special
intentions, for our members
and donors and their families and
for funds for our needs and the
ministries.
We pray for Fr. Joe's book to be
used by the priests and for
the Blue Book 8 and 9 and 10
and all the Blue Books.
We pray for all our needs
We pray for the priests, the Church
and the world.
A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.
Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.
Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.
-Mass Book, December 27, 1995
R. Dear Priests:
Hold the Eucharist high
Oh Jesus we adore You
Oh Priests:
Hold His Blood so we can
see this gift
Hold it and let us honor
Our God
Oh God we love You so much
Help us to love You and others!
Life is so short
Jesus said He went to prepare a
place for us
Let us serve God and love Him and
Not give into satan who is the
master of hate and lies
All honor and glory be to God!!
Say Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Angus Dei
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi,
Crimina tollis, aspera molis, Agnus honoris,
Miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi,
Vulnera sanas, ardua planas, Agnus amoris,
Miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi,
Sordida mundas, cuncta foecundas, Agnus odoris,
Dona nobis pacem.
Spiritual Communion
Dear Jesus we want to make a spiritual
communion, we cannot receive You
now, but we want to know Your
presence deep in our heart
deep in our soul Oh God fill us
with Your presence that we can
just focus on You and Your love
for us now Love deep in us
Oneness with You
Quiet surrender to be alone in
this moment with You in our heart
in deep love
We love You so much our beloved
God
A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
R. Oh Lord I am not worthy that you
should enter under my roof,
but only say the word and
my soul shall be healed.
What a gift to receive Jesus in the Eucharist.
R. What a gift the Eucharist is
Sing: I Love You Jesus
Sing: Ave Maria
R. Oh Jesus we love You so much
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
R. We celebrate the wonderful life of a
loved one and all the person did
during their lives in love.
It is sadness when somebody dies
Angie was gentle, a gift, full of love
devotion in loving as a wife and mother.
She was a blessing to her children, a
blessing to all who knew her
Angie's father called her
an "angel" because of her
love and gentle spirit
Angie was on a wild ride on her horse
as a child and her brothers rescued
her when the horse got so wild.
Working in love, helping each other, our life is so short.
Angie always created a beautiful living
space for others she made a beautiful home
a place people wanted to come to read, play games,
eat, listen and play music.
Angie loved and was tender to babies,
her children
She was tender with her husband
who battled with cancer for
3 years and finally died Angie was
his primary caretaker she did it in love to
the end of his life.
Angie appreciated nature, sunlit
days and the beauty of
different places when she
traveled
Angie loved to go to Lourdes and she loved
the blessing she got there
She loved Lourdes!!
Angie loved Rome and prayed there till
she was ushered out she
prayed so long. She went whenever
she could go to pray there.
Angie loved the Church bells to ring.
So we will ring them especially for Angie today.
Angie was unselfish, she
loved to be kind to people.
Angie didn't know she was
going to die Friday she wanted the
best for those around her
she lived for others to spread love to them.
Angie treated all people around her with dignity
and with fairness
Angie strove to make the world
a beautiful place; a better place
because of her life.
Angie was truly her father's
little angel and our little
angel too
We hope we will see each other
again in heaven
Let us love and serve God as He desires

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.
"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.
"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."
- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)
Foreward
Dear Father,
I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.
In the world today it is good for us to remember, what our founder, Fr. Carter said, the individual Christian, the Church and the world is in the state of becoming.
Priestly Writing and Prayers
In 18 years of this Movement we have sent loose and in books, over 17,000,000 Priestly Newsletters to priests and hierarchy. We have prayer chapters praying for the priests, the Church and the world all over the world (found in the backs of this book and most of our books), on a page brochure we enclosed in previous mailings. This is a network of prayer in 8 languages around the world. We believe these prayer chapters, many 18 years old, can be a network of prayer praying for the priests, the Church and the world, giving great devotion to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart, now, and in the future when we are gone.
We pray 24 hours a day before the exposed Eucharist in China, Indiana for you and all your work in helping the Church to be what God wants it to be in all its members. (picture enclosed on rear inside cover) We love the Church, the pillar of truth, and we give our lives living, in recognition of this calling, to pray for the Church and the world and for all our priests and to circulate these writings on the spiritual life.
The Word
It is exciting to me, Rita Ring, co-founder of Shepherds of Christ, to read Fr. Joes homilies (my brother) and my love of the Word grows ever more and more. We want the Word to live in us. It is a two-edged sword. The Word in our hearts aiding us in making our contribution in helping to build the Kingdom using the unique God-given talents God gave us.
The Fathers Family
God is our Creator, we were created uniquely with a purpose to make our unique contribution to the building of the Fathers family. Living in love as brothers and sisters and realizing we are to contribute in helping to make the Church and the world more as God intends.
Our Christ Life and Our Mission
In the sacrament of baptism, we receive a sharing in His life. We are to grow in this Christ-life making the contribution God wants as we live more deeply in Him.
We sing the song
Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God.I wrote the song
Glory, Glory, Glory Lord and A Priest is a Gift from God.We are so thankful for all you do.
We are so thankful for all our priests.
Fr. Carter, S. J. Doctorate, founder of the Shepherds of Christ, believed he was called by God in this mission to send the Priestly Writings. Fr. Carter said Jesus told him to pray these particular prayers and begin these prayer chapters around the world, praying for the priests, the Church and the world. We have begun these prayer chapters for over 18 years now since 1994.
The Mass
We as members of the mystical body of Christ can help in being united to the Mass with pure hearts all day offering up our every day works, serving Godaccording to His will in love. It is in the interior offeringin our hearts that we want to be pure, holy, loving and following in Jesus footsteps in all we do united to the Masses going on around the world praying for grace to be outpoured for our priests, the Church and the world.
God is love and we are to pray in love for our brothers and sisters of the world, relying on Gods Might.
The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present a fountain of grace being poured out on us hungry, hungry souls. We adore God, we thank God, we petition God for grace for the Church and the world and we want to help make reparation for our sins and the sins of the world.
Consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
We give ourselves in Consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and we pray to God to help us grow in our graced life until we are with Him wrapped in His embrace for all eternity.
Please help us spread these prayer chapters praying for the priests, the Church and the world and giving great devotion to the Pure and Holy Hearts of Love of Jesus and Mary.
The Fathers Plan Love
I heard a song once, it said What the world needs now is love. The Plan of the Father is that we love God with our whole heart, our whole soul and our whole being and that we love our neighbor as ourselves.
God is love. God first loved us. It is our response to Gods love.
Man is made in the image and likeness of God, so we are to love!
Happiness is found in God.
Spread the Good News, Jesus has died, He has risen and this is our call in this life to love to pray for the priests, the Church and the world.
Homilies from Fr. Joe, My Brother
I, with all of us at Shepherds of Christ, pray that you, Gods holy chosen one, will be blessed. This sixth book of homilies from Fr. Joe Robinson, my brother, is a cherished gift he has allowed us to send to you.
Sincerely and with much love in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
Rita Robinson Ring, Co-founder
Shepherds of Christ Ministries
John Weickert, our President, has given much to make this happen and all our faithful people, Servants and Handmaids of the Good Shepherd and Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus and Associates of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary."Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

Guiding Light

Reflect on the Word
Guiding Light homily series -
Reflect on the Word - Cycle B — The Word leaves
an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are
born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts
presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a
sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in
this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual
entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman
Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are
ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at
us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect
upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 | ||
|
Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
