Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

February 21, 2017
R. Dear God, please help our country –
We ask You to pray the prayer the Lord
gave to us to pray for our country.
Jesus: It is a time of great sadness to My
Sacred Heart for it is that you are so
blessed, your country has been blessed.
I am telling you to pray as never before.
13 years ago March 1st, the image head
of the Virgin Mary was destroyed in
Clearwater, Florida.
My children pray, your heavenly Father
sent the image of the Virgin Mother
in Clearwater over 20 years ago –
it is such a beautiful blessing and
sign of the Father's love that such
a gift was given to you.
I am love and I have blessed you in
My Movement with great favors
never given before.
Sin is an act out of order.
God loves the creatures He has
created, why would a person choose
darkness to light, unloving, angry,
prideful ways to loving and peace
and joy.
When it is over, it will be over. You
were given one life to live and use it
to love God and others – to help others,
to be kind and work in unity according
to My Father's will.
You have a free will to love as I
have commanded you or to oppose
God, fight God, be a rival to God
and impudently parade before Me
when you do it. How foolish the
sinner who walks in pride and refuses
to be reconciled in their hearts to God.
I have given you My Law, I am God,
I created you, right reason stands
why would you rebel against your
Creator, the Almighty God. You
have a free will to live by My Law
or to rebel against the Law of God.
It is out of order to rebel against
the Law of God, for a creature to
disobey their Creator – it is not
right reasoning, it is not knowing
your place.
A sinful act comes from what one
chooses in their will. The will can be
influenced if it is weak, from the devil,
from reasoning, the sense appetites.
A man can say "Oh, I didn't know"
and plead he had nothing to do with
his own actions. A man can deliberately
lie about the pride and anger in his
heart and plead innocent to any wrong
doing having consented over and over
again to hatred and ill will, injuring others,
punishment of others and division,
fighting, arguing and then say –
oh I did nothing – I was right when
I did this.
I am the way, the truth and the life
and I give you My Law to live by –
How can you rebel against the law
to put God first, to love God, to love
your neighbor as yourself, to be so
unloving and evil and then act as if
I do not exist and know the condition of a
hateful, prideful heart and then say
shamefully in deceit before Me –
Oh I did nothing wrong or Oh I didn't
know.
Sin is an act of the will, acting on purpose
in disorder, against My law. It is
a voluntary act. A man must know
he is sinning for it to be a sin, but if it is
his fault he is ignorant and he is doing evil
he is sinning.
Many men continue sinning and lie to themselves
when they deliberately rebel against My Law
and refuse any correction from one over
them or force through evil methods
others from trying to stop their lewd conduct.
A person indulging in a sexual affair
with another and being married can
lie to themselves why it is okay in
his case.
The devil tempts men to sin – and
he wants them to continue sinning and
deny they did wrong.
The person who seriously injured another
person – may be the first to say – they
did nothing wrong and become impudent
and aggressively begin fighting another
for trying to unveil the crime.
Denying that they did anything wrong –
Like a child caught steeling cookies
with their hand in the cookie jar
and saying he didn't do it.
A person can become in the habit of
planning sins with malice of intent –
these sins are worse than the man
who sins because he did it from
some instant passion or ignorance.
Sinning through pure malice is a
disease of the will itself – it is not
like the man who gives into a sin
on the spur of a moment. The sins
of malice of intent are more evil
than a man who just gives in in the
spur of a weak moment.
A person that honestly did not know he
was acting in disorder can be forgiven
more easily than a man who has malice
of intent and performs his acts deliberately
to do wrong and take down the house,
injure someone with a mean and angry
deceptive spirit to hurt on purpose.
The sinner, sins by his own will.
The devil tempts people – he wants
them to sin. He wants them to develop
bad habits and live according to the deadly sins.
The devil hates. He does not want man
to love God or his brother or himself,
he wants to get him to sin so much
he loses his soul. The devil is real –
The devil tempts men, but men
give in freely to the sinful act.
The devil cannot make anyone sin.
Man is responsible
for his sins We are free to sin or
not to sin.

Today's Readings
Sirach 1: 1-10
All wisdom comes from the Lord,
she is with him for ever.
The sands of the sea, the drops of rain,
the days of eternity — who can count them?
The height of the sky, the breadth of the earth,
the depth of the abyss — who can explore them?
Wisdom was created before everything,
prudent understanding subsists from remotest ages.
For whom has the root of wisdom ever been uncovered?
Her resourceful ways, who knows them?
One only is wise, terrible indeed,
seated on his throne, the Lord.
It was he who created, inspected and weighed her up,
and then poured her out on all his works —
as much to each living creature as he chose —
bestowing her on those who love him.
Mark 9: 14-29
As they were rejoining the disciples they saw a large crowd round them and some scribes arguing with them. At once, when they saw him, the whole crowd were struck with amazement and ran to greet him. And he asked them, 'What are you arguing about with them?' A man answered him from the crowd, 'Master, I have brought my son to you; there is a spirit of dumbness in him, and when it takes hold of him it throws him to the ground, and he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and goes rigid. And I asked your disciples to drive it out and they were unable to.' In reply he said to them, 'Faithless generation, how much longer must I be among you? How much longer must I put up with you? Bring him to me.' They brought the boy to him, and at once the spirit of dumbness threw the boy into convulsions, and he fell to the ground and lay writhing there, foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked the father, 'How long has this been happening to him?' 'From childhood,' he said, 'and it has often thrown him into fire and into water, in order to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have pity on us and help us.' 'If you can?' retorted Jesus. 'Everything is possible for one who has faith.' At once the father of the boy cried out, 'I have faith. Help my lack of faith!' And when Jesus saw that a crowd was gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit. 'Deaf and dumb spirit,' he said, 'I command you: come out of him and never enter him again.' Then it threw the boy into violent convulsions and came out shouting, and the boy lay there so like a corpse that most of them said, 'He is dead.' But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him up, and he was able to stand. When he had gone indoors, his disciples asked him when they were by themselves, 'Why were we unable to drive it out?' He answered, 'This is the kind that can be driven out only by prayer.'
R. We see the sun and the magnificence of
the world God has created. Man is given a
free will to live according to His Plan – to obey
the commandments, to live by the Word of God.
He can seek God's will and live by God's will
if he chooses because he has a free will –
He can reject God's will and disobey God's
commandments, ignore the Word of God
and operate in opposition to God's will.
Romans 8: 5-9
Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
R. Giving into the deadly sins of
pride, greed,
envy, wrath, lust,
gluttony,
and sloth, become
habits. The more one chooses to be prideful,
the more he disobeys the First Commandment
to put God's plan, His will, first. The prideful
man is blinded – before he even hears the
situation, he is accessing the situation from
his willful habits – how he is up and trying
to put others under him – even God – he can
use every situation to tell himself why he is
right – he refuses corrections, for he has a
built-in-radar – he is up and always right –
this leads to darkness and blindness. We are
to live in truth, serving and loving God –
The man of pride as described above is living
in falsehood. He does not know his place
among men, under God. A man can live his
whole life with fear of authority and not let
anyone act over him. He can seek out a place
where he can control or force his dominion
over everything despite what is God's will. He
is ruled by his rule – no one will ever be
over him. His life is centered around himself
and his rule he gave himself. He can grow deeper
in his conviction, using abuse, holding out,
anger for his plan to be implemented.
He expects this as the way and is very angry
if someone tries to stop this evil way of
his and how he is acting – The rule becomes
the disordered dysfunction, he has worked so
hard to establish, growing in greater darkness,
and greater anger – more manipulation and
lies for the goal is evil, opposed to God's plan
of love, unity, obedience to the will of God.
We see what Hitler imposed on the people of
Germany and the world and 66,000,000
people were killed because of World War II.
Some people live with the rule in their
lives not trusting anyone because of sexual
abuse, betrayals, childhood dysfunction –
Love is giving for the good of the other –
We see Jesus, the Son of God, who came to
this earth and took flesh to teach us about
love.
1 John 4: 7-11
My dear friends, let us love one another, since love is from God and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love. This is the revelation of God's love for us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him. Love consists in this: it is not we who loved God, but God loved us and sent his Son to expiate our sins. My dear friends, if God loved us so much, we too should love one another.
R. Love is giving and receiving. Love is
relationship. A person can give themselves
a rule they won't trust anyone or love
anyone because of being hurt in love.
Love is more than sex – Love is what God tells
us about in God's Blue Book, love is what
God commands of us in the Commandments
of God. Again living with such a rule, to not love
or trust anyone violates the commandments of
God – so a person is living in opposition to
the will of God. They can construe all kinds
of ways to avoid any trust or love with
others and try to force others by control
to live in their darkness and sin – so
they don't have to obey God; so they don't
have to change the unloving, sinful way
they are opposing God –
Living like this is, not living, it is
existing and it is existing in, opposition
to God's will. They can become harder and
harder in their hearts – living to implement
their darkness and hurting others,
manipulating others. This darkness and way
makes the person more and more angry
because – with their free will they are
opposing God to live their unloving, dark
way of closing their heart.
The Shepherds of Christ is about the love
of the Two Perfect and Pure and Holy
Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The 25
years God has given me messages and
22 years of Mary's apparitions has been
to deliver the message of God's love –
The Blue Books are to open men's hearts to
know God loves them and wants love
in their hearts for God and others and oneself.
God tells us we are to live by the will of God –
the goal of all actions are to be eternal
salvation. The baptized person living more and
more to be like Jesus, living the supernatural
life more and more – loving supernaturally,
knowing the Scriptures more and more on
a supernatural level.
1 Corinthians 3: 16-23
Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you? If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God’s temple is holy; and you are that temple.
There is no room for self-delusion. Any one of you who thinks he is wise by worldly standards must learn to be a fool in order to be really wise. For the wisdom of the world is folly to God. As scripture says: He traps the crafty in the snare of their own cunning and again: The Lord knows the plans of the wise and how insipid they are. So there is to be no boasting about human beings: everything belongs to you, whether it is Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, the world, life or death, the present or the future — all belong to you; but you belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God.
Psalm 93: 1-2, 5
Yahweh is king, robed in majesty,
robed is Yahweh and girded with power.The world is indeed set firm, it can never be shaken;
your throne is set firm from of old,
from all eternity you exist.Your decrees stand firm, unshakeable,
holiness is the beauty of your house,
Yahweh, for all time to come.
R. A man who knows his place is ridding
himself of inordinate attachments – the need
to control, manipulate, abuse, punish,
lie.
From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius,
by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p. 1121. SPIRITUAL EXERCISES
Which have as their purpose the conquest of self
and the regulation of one's life in such a way that
no decision is made under the influence of any
inordinate attachment
R. We can, with our free will, refuse
to obey God and oppose Him and
lower ourselves when God raises
us up.
A person who won't trust and love is
shut down, and they can't ignore
loving their brother and love God –
1 John 4: 17-21
Love comes to its perfection in us when we can face the Day of Judgement fearlessly, because even in this world we have become as he is. In love there is no room for fear, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear implies punishment and no one who is afraid has come to perfection in love. Let us love, then, because he first loved us. Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. Indeed this is the commandment we have received from him, that whoever loves God, must also love his brother.
R. He who does not love, does not
know God.
A person can live by these rules he gives himself
in blindness – like not obeying authority –
not loving or trusting anyone because of hurt –
Love is not all sexual relationships – love is my
love for God, my love for my children, my love
for my grandchildren, my love of the human race,
the love of the Church, love for the country –
love of friends, love of people who are
in the mystical body of Christ, love of
priests, love of the world – love then of
God's will, etc.
A person who is hurt sexually, by parents,
by a divorce, has to realize shutting down
your heart, hurting people, being controlled
and unloving, life-long opposes the will of God.
God commands us to love Him and our brother as
ourselves – these are the commandments of God.
If a person tells themselves they don't have
to trust or love anyone they are acting in
desolation – opposed to God's will –
Read today's Gospel - People who shut themselves
off and only trust themselves are being used by
satan in pride – That is pride, to think you are
above everyone – including God.
We have a duty to do God's will –
We have a duty to do our
responsibility in our
vocation – not punish
others with our duty by
holding out and using it
to wager abuse and control
on those who direct us –
Grow up – commitment to
God's rules, the commandments
of God –
To let the creative energy of God
in our lives –
Commitment comes in loving from
the heart –
How can a man who has given
himself rule over God's
commands to love, but
to operate opposed to God's
commands think he is
right?
And satan is in this!
Matthew 5: 17-37
‘Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete them. In truth I tell you, till heaven and earth disappear, not one dot, not one little stroke, is to disappear from the Law until all its purpose is achieved. Therefore, anyone who infringes even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered the least in the kingdom of Heaven; but the person who keeps them and teaches them will be considered great in the kingdom of Heaven.
‘For I tell you, if your uprightness does not surpass that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of Heaven.
‘You have heard how it was said to our ancestors, You shall not kill; and if anyone does kill he must answer for it before the court. But I say this to you, anyone who is angry with a brother will answer for it before the court; anyone who calls a brother "Fool" will answer for it before the Sanhedrin; and anyone who calls him "Traitor" will answer for it in hell fire. So then, if you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering. Come to terms with your opponent in good time while you are still on the way to the court with him, or he may hand you over to the judge and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison. In truth I tell you, you will not get out till you have paid the last penny.
‘You have heard how it was said, You shall not commit adultery. But I say this to you, if a man looks at a woman lustfully, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye should be your downfall, tear it out and throw it away; for it will do you less harm to lose one part of yourself than to have your whole body thrown into hell. And if your right hand should be your downfall, cut it off and throw it away; for it will do you less harm to lose one part of yourself than to have your whole body go to hell.
‘It has also been said, Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a writ of dismissal. But I say this to you, everyone who divorces his wife, except for the case of an illicit marriage, makes her an adulteress; and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
'Again, you have heard how it was said to our ancestors, You must not break your oath, but must fulfil your oaths to the Lord. But I say this to you, do not swear at all, either by heaven, since that is God's throne; or by earth, since that is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, since that is the city of the great King. Do not swear by your own head either, since you cannot turn a single hair white or black. All you need say is "Yes" if you mean yes, "No" if you mean no; anything more than this comes from the Evil One.
R. Give up the bad stuff in our
lives –
don't let the devil win
Love is all around us
Jesus gives us Himself in
the Blessed Sacrament
Jesus gives us the Church –
We have the sacraments
We have the priests –
Mary appeared in Clearwater
7 1/2 years on the building.
The Gospel at yesterday's Mass
was an excerpt from the
Sermon on the Mount.
Matthew 5: 38-48
‘You have heard how it was said: Eye for eye and tooth for tooth. But I say this to you: offer no resistance to the wicked. On the contrary, if anyone hits you on the right cheek, offer him the other as well; if someone wishes to go to law with you to get your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone requires you to go one mile, go two miles with him. Give to anyone who asks you, and if anyone wants to borrow, do not turn away.
‘You have heard how it was said, You will love your neighbour and hate your enemy. But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much? And if you save your greetings for your brothers, are you doing anything exceptional? Do not even the gentiles do as much? You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.’
R. Jesus wants us to obey God –
Leviticus 19: 1-2, 17-18
Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
‘Speak to the whole community of Israelites and say:
"Be holy, for I, Yahweh your God, am holy. You will not harbour hatred for your brother. You will reprove your fellow–countryman firmly and thus avoid burdening yourself with a sin. You will not exact vengeance on, or bear any sort of grudge against, the members of your race, but will love your neighbour as yourself. I am Yahweh.
R. Even God gives punishment,
but is merciful to those
who ask for forgiveness.
Jesus didn't stand and take
the abuse –
He asked why did you
strike Me – but He
did not respond in
violence, revenge –
A person holding anger in their
hearts, hurt themselves
more than they know – anger in
the heart – held onto stops a
person in having a close relationship
with God –
Anger held out against one's neighbor
who is innocent is sinful –
Anger like this is called a
deadly sin – it brings
darkness and blindness in
the heart and
the person acts in desolation
for letting satan win in
their heart –
Seeking revenge is not God's
way –
We are told to pray for those who
persecute us –
Jesus told us to be
perfect as our
heavenly Father is
perfect.
St. Luke says –
be merciful as your Father
is merciful –
Our first parents thought they
were smarter than God and they
would make up their own rules.
That was a disaster – We have
freedom to choose right or wrong.
6th Sunday in Ordinary Time
February 16, 2014
INTRODUCTION –
(Sirach 15,15-20; I Corinthians 2,6-10; Matthew 5,17-37) According to the first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis, when God created human beings he gave us instructions about what we could and could not do, and his instructions weren't all that complicated. But, according to Genesis, our first parents thought they were smarter than God and decided to make up their own rules. They found out that was a disaster. Our first reading today, from Ben Sirach, is a reflection on sin and our freedom to choose right or wrong. Some of the philosophers of Ben Sirach's time (about 180 years before Christ) were teaching that "when I sin it's God who makes me do it." The author tells us that's not so. We have a free will and are able to choose right from wrong.HOMILY –
A Sunday School teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother," she asked, "is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" Without missing a beat, one little boy answered, "Thou shall not kill."Jesus is discussing the Ten Commandments in this section from the Sermon on the Mount. Last week he told us: "You are the light of the world." Now he shows us that bringing light to others doesn't just happen. It happens only when his light fills our minds and hearts so that it can shine out from us.
Jesus begins this section by telling his audience (which includes us) that if we want to enter into God's kingdom, we have to be better people than the scribes and the Pharisees. That may not sound like a difficult task to most of us, especially with the negative impression the gospels give us of the scribes and Pharisees, but for Jesus' original audience, that probably seemed like an impossibility, because the scribes and Pharisees were looked upon as the holiest citizens in Israel. Jesus says clearly we need to be better than they were in obeying and serving God. Then Jesus gives some specific examples.
He talks about anger. This is not the anger that we suddenly feel surging up inside of us when someone hurts us or when we see someone doing wrong. Even Jesus felt that kind of anger at times. The anger Jesus is talking about is the kind of anger we refuse to let go of. Jesus talks about adultery. He makes it clear that not only is adultery wrong, but walking around with an "x" rated mind is also wrong. You may have heard the story about a guy who went to confession and had a hard time knowing what to say, so the priest tried to help him examine his conscience. At one point the priest asked "do you entertain impure thoughts?" The penitent answered, "no, they entertain me." Jesus said that's a "no, no!" Jesus talked about taking oaths. He implies there should be no need for an oath if our speech is always honest. Basically, Jesus is trying to show us holiness goes beyond external behavior. Holiness must be deep inside of us - not just an external veneer that we wear on Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
We see here too, the authority with which Jesus spoke. People were often amazed when Jesus taught and they usually remarked he speaks with authority. Certainly when he healed a sick person, or cast out a demon, he was speaking with authority. But notice how he taught in today's gospel. He said, "you have heard it was said to your ancestors," in other words, "this is what the Commandment told us," and then he adds, "but I say to you." He showed he could speak for God, interpreting what God's Commandment really meant.
I deliberately chose the short form today, because I want to address another issue. It touches on the principal that holiness is more than not just doing evil but in also doing good things. You've heard this one before about a man who died and went up to the pearly gates. Peter looked up his record and said "you didn't do anything really bad, but did you ever do anything good for anyone." The man answered "well I gave 50 cents to a beggar once." "Peter called up God and said "what shall I do with him?" God said, "give him his 50 cents back and tell him to go to hell." Well, doing good works is part of holiness. There are lots and lots of ways people can do good things for others. What I want to mention is a very diverse and at the same time specific way of doing some good. As you know, every year around this time we have the Catholic Ministries Appeal. It used to be called the Archbishop's Annual Fund Drive, but some people thought it was going to the Archbishop, so the name has been changed. The Archbishop gets none of it. It all goes to support these key Archdiocesan ministries: Catholic Charities and Social Services, the Seminary and promoting vocations, St. Rita's School for the Deaf, retired Archdiocesan priests, chaplains for colleges, hospitals and prisons. Do you want to have a little part (or a big part) in helping with all these good works? Just make a donation to the Catholic Ministries Appeal. You will get a letter about it sometime during the last week of February. Please help even a little.
Our goal is about $20,505 for this year. That's about $2000 less than the year before. So I'll tell you what, if you can give what you gave last year, we have it made. If you can give a little more, it will compensate for those who may have to cut back. Anything you give over the goal will be split with the Catholic Ministries Appeal and our own St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Thank you for your patience and for whatever you can do. Amen.

R. Dear Jesus,
Please help me, put my
spiritual bandages on my
soul so I will be healed of
all that needs healing.
Jesus: Though you walk in
the valley of darkness I
will be your rear guard
and your shield.
That you know more
and more that life is in Me.
Woe you who labor and are
heavily burden – a light shines
around you and peace I infuse
into the troubled heart.
Peace to you, My child, though
you walk the valley of darkness
I send light to light your path –
the victory is seen in that
the sun comes every day –
Sunrise, Sunset, Sunrise,
Sunset and your days are
soon ended.
How did you live in
your hearts? How did you
labor in My vineyard – did you
use the days I gave wisely to
promote My work – to do the
job the Father created you to
do – to love and serve Him
as only you can do.
Sunrise, Sunset,
swiftly goes - the days
of your lives. Do not ever
waste a moment living
in self-pity and fear – soon
the days are gone, your
life is gone – your trial is ended.
How did you live child,
for or against the heavenly
Father's will.
Let your days be numbered
aright. Let the morning
and evening remind you
of the days of your lives.
R. When I was carrying the
children in my womb I
worried about their birth –
then they came and all were
well children and then I
raised them and worried and
fretted and then they left –
and they are married and now
I have grandchildren, the
days go by in petty pace
and never will I have a
chance to do a more
better day - we got one
shot at every day –
The devil wants us to worry –
to focus on emotions, needless
details – God gives us the strength
to deal with every day.
Every day is like a
new sheet to write the
story that day. How
beautiful the sun comes
up every day to light the
day anew – after resting
from the day before.
Oh it is a Divine Design
that repeats and shows
beauty for us. How blinded
we can be, when we need
to let go and live and walk by
the hand of Jesus.
The Apostles did this –
walk by the hand of Jesus,
let Him teach them. He
showed them miracles. They
walked close to Him and He
taught them what they needed
to know.
Jesus is here – truly present
in the Eucharist. We receive
Jesus in communion, body,
blood, soul and Divinity –
Jesus, Jesus, why do we
worry and give into the
destructive ways when we
must walk more and more
in faith and live in hope and
love – the heart was made
for love. Why would men
rebel against God who
created them. Why are men
so brazen in their pride
and senseless ways.
We are the Spouse of Jesus Christ –
we walk the isle and
receive Him at Mass – We
received in baptism a sharing
in His life –
Oh Holy Spirit Come into our hearts
to enlighten the mind of Your
people –
For the devil is strong and
if you do the work of Jesus
the devil will work to try
to stop it.
Oh we need prudence
and the gifts of the Holy Spirit to
fight satan who is at battle
with the man doing God's
work.
God has told us – He tells
us in this message – He wants
such intimate love with us,
He wants to dwell IN US –
He wants to operate IN US –
but He says the devil's grip
is paralyzing and crippling –
don't give into him.
Cling to Me
May 13, 1993
Jesus: My dear child, if you stay close to Me, then I live in you and you live in Me. I am He Who created you and I love you with such an intensity that you will never know. My words are your truth. You must abide in My heart in all things. There is no room for doubt. My ways are steadfast, direct, and without error.
You must stay rooted in Me to ward off the power of the evil one. His grip is paralyzing and crippling. His power is stronger every day.
When you live in Me, I am in your heart and he has no power over Me. I am your God. I am your true lover. I want to protect you. I want to guard you from this force. Stay rooted firmly in Me and he will have no power.
I am He Who comforts you. My hand is upon you. Hold tight to Me, My child. My eyes are fixed right on you. You are My most precious child. I love you as no other can. My arms are about you. My tenderness surrounds you. My love is in your heart. You go not alone. I walk with you.
I share every aspect of your life with you. Cling to Me, feel My presence. It is warm and secure within your chest. There is no room for fear, for I cast out fear and bring you comfort and joy.

R. We need the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We need the virtues. We must
let go of the pressing down
of satan and walk by faith –
live in hope of our eternal
salvation. Come Holy Spirit Come
and fill us with love and light –
Come into our troubled prideful
hearts and fill us with all
we need to operate as Your
instruments of love –
Come and dwell in my feeble
heart – lest I stumble and
fall and not find my way –
Shelter me from the sun
that is scorching. Protect
our steps. Send the breezes
to lift us up – the coolness
of air on us on a hot day –
the water, pure, to quench
our thirsty souls – let the
days be sweet with Your
order and love and direction –
and my life lived to serve
and love You and live by the
will of the heavenly Father –
Teach me Your precepts –
Number me among those who
are serving and loving You
and others.
Only a fool turns away
from God, who wants to
forgive us and grant us
mercy. The prideful man
walks in his pride and he
lives a life caught in his
own darkness. His blindness
grows every day because of
his pride – even on sunny
days – he may not see
so good, but his blindness
is so great he doesn't
even know it.
Jesus: My child, I give you a
heart to love – I give you
the light of day to see –
I give you ears to hear My
teaching – I give you friends
to love. I remain in the Eucharist
truly present so you will pray
for yourself and your
country and your world,
the priests, the Church,
your family.
Satan never slumbers
or sleeps, if you intend
to work for Me in a serious
way – he is hypo-vigilant
and breathing down your
back at every turn.
You need to know My intimate
love. I want to dwell in you
and operate from you.
The Holy Spirit comes and enlightens
and strengthens the open soul
welcoming Him as their
Guest – You must ask
God to help you, now –
to be pure – to be empty –
to be surrendering – to live
every day for God – live as it
is your last!!
Life is like a gallery of picture.
Once you go to bed your picture
is framed for that day for the
Gallery by _______ _______ of
your life.
Jesus: Wear the armor I give you
for salvation.
Dwell in My Heart of
love – on fire for
love of men.

Hebrews 13: 15-17, 20-21
Through him, let us offer God an unending sacrifice of praise, the fruit of the lips of those who acknowledge his name. Keep doing good works and sharing your resources, for these are the kinds of sacrifice that please God.
Obey your leaders and give way to them; they watch over your souls because they must give an account of them; make this a joy for them to do, and not a grief-you yourselves would be the losers.
I pray that the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood that sealed an eternal covenant, may prepare you to do his will in every kind of good action; effecting in us all whatever is acceptable to himself through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
R. Dear Holy Spirit I want to be
always open in my heart
to receive Your love – Let
me always see Your unending
light with the eyes of my
soul.
Let my hope for eternal
salvation being wrapped
in Your Divine Embrace
be the song of my soul.
Holy Spirit I place my trust
in Thee. Holy Spirit help me
open my heart to Your love.
Holy Spirit strengthen me
to know the truth – that
the truth will be in me.
John 14: 16-17
I shall ask the Father,
and he will give you another Paraclete
to be with you for ever,
the Spirit of truth
whom the world can never accept
since it neither sees nor knows him;
but you know him,
because he is with you, he is in you.
R. Let me walk by faith
believing in You and Your
constant vigilant eyes upon
me – let my life be lived
in the hope of eternal salvation
and leading souls to You
and my heart filled with
the love of God.
Let the hope of eternal
salvation give me strength
that all actions are governed
by the goal of eternal life
for myself and this goal for
all others.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I place
my trust in Thee.
Jesus: Trust in God, My Child, Trust
lest you stumble and seek to
walk alone, for satan tempts
souls and they give in – to
trust in themselves and close
the door on God and others
they need to trust and work
with. A man who closes
down with satan's grip
stifles the Spirit who wants
to work in their soul filling
them with love and light –
truth and faith.
Baptism opens that door
to the supernatural world
and the virtues of faith,
hope and love are the
handprint of God on their
soul. But men of control
and closing down can
choose satan and himself
to God and the light of
sanctifying grace being poured
out and active in the soul.
The Holy Spirit comes and sanctifies
the soul, makes them holy,
thirsting after God. God
comes to you as a fountain
pouring out His gifts, but
a man can close down in
pride and self-enclosure
and live in desolation and
darkness if he, with his
free will, sees himself the
end and beginning of
everything. What a way
to live – SINGULARITY
and independent – closed
and stubborn – when God
is wanting to raise a man
up in a loving supernatural
relationship, the man
rejects God's love and chooses
to control and close down
in deeper and deeper darkness.
Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.
e) Relationship with Members of the Church
There is but one true Church of Christ. Yet this one Church has three different states of existence. There is the pilgrim Church, the Church of this world, composed of members who have received the grace of Christ and strive for its development. They have not yet obtained the goal of their efforts, as have the members of the heavenly Church, who enjoy God in eternal happiness. The Church suffering is an intermediate state of existence necessary for those who had not achieved the required purification as members of the pilgrim Church. Although there are these three phases of the Church’s existence, there is a profound union existing between all the members. All these members possess the same basic life of grace in Christ, and this common life establishes the most intimate bonds of love. In our preceding chapter, we discussed the pilgrim Church. Let us now consider the Church suffering and the heavenly Church.
The members of the Church suffering are those who have departed from this life in an incomplete state of Christian development. Their development is incomplete in the sense that grace has not fully taken possession of them, and, as a result, they are yet closed in upon themselves to a greater or lesser degree. They as yet cannot open themselves out in complete love to the Triune God in the beatific vision. They must undergo a further purification, a purification which could have been achieved upon earth with merit. Now the purification must be achieved with no merit attached. The pain of this purification is mixed with the certain expectation of achieving the vision of God. We can hasten the advent of this vision for this people by the offering of prayers and other good works. Scripture itself refers to our action on behalf of those in purgatory in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Maccabees beginning with verse 38.
The members of the heavenly Church are those in whom the life of grace has taken full possession and has reached its completion in the life of glory. Faith now is unnecessary, as the light of glory gives the human intellect a new strength and capacity for seeing God face-to-face. While the Christian was a wayfarer, he received the imprint of the indwelling Trinity as he shared in God’s own life. Now in heaven that grace-life and possession of God reaches its completion—the absolute completion is not achieved, however, until the resurrection of the body. The divine persons give Themselves to the beatified in a profound union far surpassing that of the indwelling of the Trinity experienced here below.
This life of heaven is still the Christ-life, for just as we possess a share in Trinitarian life here below as mediated by Christ, and exercise this grace-life as structured by Him, so also in heaven is the mediation of Christ present. In the words of Rahner, "One always sees the Father through Jesus. Just as immediately as this, for the directness of the vision of God is not a denial of the mediatorship of Christ as man."14 And not only does the humanity of Christ unite the blessed to God, but also, in some way, to the whole of creation. This is merely a completion of what is begun here below, namely, the union with Christ in His humanity establishing the Christian in a special relationship with God, with other men, and with the whole of creation. We have a glimpse, therefore, of the fullness of life which members of the heavenly Church possess.
The heavenly Church, as St. Thomas says, is the true Church.15 The Church of this earth and the Church of purgatory are, each in its own way, reaching out in loving hope for the heavenly Jerusalem. Vatican II puts it very simply: "The Church, to which we are called in Christ Jesus, and in which we acquire sanctity through the grace of God, will attain her full perfection only in the glory of heaven."16
The members of the heavenly Church can help us in living our life of grace until we too share its fullness with them. Their power of intercession on our behalf is but another ramification of the communal aspect of Christianity. We are meant to help others grow in Christ. We, in turn, are intended by God to receive aid from others—yes, from members of the heavenly Church, as well as from those with whom we dwell here below.
Not only can we be aided by the saints’ intercession, but the example of the canonized saints can also be of great value to us. They have concretely proved that full holiness is possible. Such an inspiration is of real worth when we are tempted to think that Christian sanctity in its higher degrees is impossible of attainment. Moreover, the canonized saints, in their diversity, teach us that there are many authentic versions of Christian holiness. They can be innovators in showing us that there are numerous possibilities in assimilating the mystery of Christ, although the basic assimilation remains the same for all Christians of all times. In the opinion of Rahner this is one of the chief roles the canonized saints exert in the life of the Church.17

Jesus: The Holy Spirit wants to
fill a soul with love –
be the Guest of the soul –
Man in his darkness has
a free will to reject God,
relationship with God and
His love for him.
God gives love to the
soul and the soul must
meet love with love. Giving
of oneself in submission
to God. Love is giving.
A person wrapped in darkness
gives to greater darkness
and sin – Their life can
be a life of growing in
pride and anger, jealousy
and envy and slothfulness
as they live their lives
shutting down more and
more and walking in
independence and darkness –
even independence from God
and relationship with God.
Faith, hope and love
are supernatural virtues,
capacities in the soul
that are developed more
and more as the Holy Sprit
fills a soul with light and
love. The soul welcomes
this gift of the Holy Spirit as they
open themselves to greater
perfection in God.
Matthew 5: 48
You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.’
Jesus: Seek God's will in
all things that you want
always to please Him
as He desires of you
right away and without
deliberation.
For the grip of satan comes
from the man giving themselves
in evil habits to darkness
and like a soul gives themselves
to be possessed by the Holy Spirit
with love and giving –
the evil one operates in
the soul to hold back
what God wants while
they give into the chaos,
confusion and darkness
that lead the soul to greater
and greater misery while
satan counsels them in
division and control,
and the deadly sins.
This man becomes more
and more hard of heart,
deadened in his reactions
to the Holy Spirit who brings
a soul life and sensitivity
and awareness of the
working of God's vibrant love
in their hearts.
Jesus: Love takes a soul into
the light and into eternity.
Man has a free will to
thirst after God's love
and pray to the author
of love the Holy Spirit or to
reject God's gift as they
walk stubbornly in the
isolating hateful hand of satan.
R. The choice is ours.
We have a free will
to choose God with
our whole heart or
to reject Him –
Jesus: Only a fool would
give into satan with
vibrancy and hate
to give love and
support to the
building the Kingdom of God
with all their heart –
Love is simply action from
one's heart –
With a closing down of a
man's heart to stone
hard hearts – comes
an independence and pride
where such a man
clings to darkness
through the leprosy
of unrepented sin.
A man of darkness becomes
farther blinded and
deadened and stubborn
as he gives into more
and more of unrepented
sin.
I am a God of order and
the man of wisdom knows
His place under God's
authority – His life is
not lived as a rival
to God.
The devil wants disorder
and lawlessness, rebellion
against rules causing
suffering and chaos.
A man wanting conversion
must go to God and seek the
love of God to change his
hard, angry, guilt-ridden
heart. It is commitment
and hard work when one
has fallen so far from God's
love in his heart.
Love of the Eucharist and
My Word feed the life
a man received in baptism –
I give you the Blue Books.
Jesus: I give you Fr. Joe's books.
Jesus: I give you these prayers.

Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

Holy Spirit Novena
Daily Novena Prayers
Opening Prayer
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Dear Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, in union with Him in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit. We come to You united to the Child Jesus of Good Health and the Infant of Prague. We come to You in the perfect, sinless heart of Our Mother Mary, asking her powerful intercession, uniting ourselves to her holy tears. We come to You united to all the angels and saints, and the souls in purgatory.
Prayer for Holy Spirit
We pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on us, to be baptized by the Holy Spirit, that He will descend mightily on us as He did on the Apostles at Pentecost. That the Holy Spirit will transform us from fear to fearlessness and that He will give us courage to do all the Father is asking of us to help bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart. We pray for the Holy Spirit to descend mightily on the Jesuits and the Poor Clares on the Shepherds of Christ leaders and members and on the whole Body of Christ and the world.
Protection by the Blood of Jesus
We pray that the Blood of Jesus will be spread on us, everyone in our families, and the Shepherds of Christ Movement, that we will be able to move steadfastly ahead and be protected from the evil one.
Healing
We pray for healing in body, mind, and soul and generational healing in ourselves, in all members in our families, and in all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, the Jesuit Community, the Poor Clares, the Body of Christ, and the world.
Prayer for Strength and Light
We adore You, oh Holy Spirit. Give us strength, give us light, console us. We give ourselves entirely to You. Oh Spirit of light and grace, we want to only do the will of the Father. Enlighten us that we may live always in the Father's will.
Eternal Spirit fill us with Your Divine Wisdom that we may comprehend more fully insight into Your Divine Mysteries.
Give us lights, Oh Holy Spirit that we may know God. Work within the heart, the spiritual womb of the Virgin Mary, to form us more and more into the image of Jesus.
Prayer to Be One with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We long for You, Oh Spirit of Light, we long to know God, we want to be one with Him, our Divine God. We want to be one with the Father, know Him as a Person most intimately. We want to know the beloved One, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and live and dwell in Him at all times, every moment of our lives. We want to be one with You, Oh Spirit of Light, that You move in us in our every breath.
Prayer to Be One in Jesus
Let us experience life in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so we can say as Saint Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me...." Let us live, united to the Mass, all through the day being one in Him. Let us be able to love and know in this elevated state of oneness with our God. We long for Thee, oh beauteous God, we love You, we love You, we love You. We praise You, worship You, honor You, adore You, and thank You, our beloved God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Prayer to Dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
We seek to be one in God, to live and dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, our little heaven on earth, to experience life in the all perfect, pure, sinless heart of our Mother. We want the Holy Spirit to move in us and to be united to Jesus as the Bridegroom of our souls and be a most perfect sacrifice offered to the Father at every moment as we unite in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass around the world to help in the salvation of souls.
Prayer for the Holy Spirit and His Gifts
Come Holy Spirit, come, come into our hearts, inflame all people with the fire of Your love.
Leader: Send forth Your Spirit and all will be reborn.
All: And You will renew the face of the earth. We pray for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, we ask for perfection in our souls to make us holy, holy souls likened to God.
Dear Holy Spirit, we give ourselves to You soul and body. We ask You to give us the Spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.
Prayer for the Word Alive in Our Hearts
We know, dear Holy Spirit, the Word in His human nature was brought forth within the womb of the woman. We pray that His word will be brought forth in our hearts as He lives and dwells in us. We want the incarnation to go on in our lives. Dear Holy Spirit, work in us.
Little Prayers to the Holy Spirit
Dear Holy Spirit, help us not to be ignorant or indifferent or weak, help us to be strong with the love of God.
Dear Holy Spirit, please pray for our needs for us.
Dear Holy Spirit, help us to respect God and to avoid sin. Help us to live in the Father's will.
Dear Holy Spirit, help us to keep Your commandments and to respect authority. Help us to love all things as You will us to love them. Help us to want to pray and always serve God with the greatest love. Help us to know the truth. Help us to have the gift of faith, hope, and love. Help us to know what is right and what is wrong.
A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
First Period
Meditations Nine Days
Romans 8:14-17
All who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God; for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!' The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that we share his suffering, so as to share his glory.Romans 8:5-9
Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.1 John 4:12-16
No one has ever seen God, but as long as we love one another God remains in us and his love comes to its perfection in us. This is the proof that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us a share in his Spirit. We ourselves have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as Saviour of the world. Anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have recognised for ourselves, and put our faith in, the love God has for us. God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.1 John 4:17-21
Indeed this is the commandment we have received from him, that whoever loves God, must also love his brother.1 John 4:7-11
My dear friends, if God loved us so much, we too should love one another.Acts of the Apostles 1:1-5
In my earlier work, Theophilus, I dealt with everything Jesus had done and taught from the beginning until the day he gave his instructions to the apostles he had chosen through the Holy Spirit, and was taken up to heaven. He had shown himself alive to them after his Passion by many demonstrations: for forty days he had continued to appear to them and tell them about the kingdom of God. While at table with them, he had told them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait there for what the Father had promised. 'It is', he had said, 'what you have heard me speak about: John baptised with water but, not many days from now, you are going to be baptised with the Holy Spirit.'Acts of the Apostles 1:6-9
Now having met together, they asked him, 'Lord, has the time come for you to restore the kingdom to Israel?' He replied, 'It is not for you to know times or dates that the Father has decided by his own authority, but you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit which will come on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judaea and Samaria, and indeed to earth's remotest end.'
As he said this he was lifted up while they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.Acts of the Apostles 1:12-14
So from the Mount of Olives, as it is called, they went back to Jerusalem, a short distance away, no more than a Sabbath walk; and when they reached the city they went to the upper room where they were staying; there were Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Jude son of James. With one heart all these joined constantly in prayer, together with some women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
Acts of the Apostles 2:1-4
When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.

John 14:21-31
Whoever holds to my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me; and whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and reveal myself to him.'
Judas-not Judas Iscariot-said to him, 'Lord, what has happened, that you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?' Jesus replied:
Anyone who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him. Anyone who does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not my own: it is the word of the Father who sent me. I have said these things to you while still with you; but the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you. Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give you, a peace which the world cannot give, this is my gift to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard me say: I am going away and shall return. If you loved me you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you this now, before it happens, so that when it does happen you may believe. I shall not talk to you much longer, because the prince of this world is on his way. He has no power over me, but the world must recognise that I love the Father and that I act just as the Father commanded. Come now, let us go.John 17:11-26
I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep those you have given me true to your name, so that they may be one like us. While I was with them, I kept those you had given me true to your name. I have watched over them and not one is lost except one who was destined to be lost, and this was to fulfil the scriptures. But now I am coming to you and I say these things in the world to share my joy with them to the full. I passed your word on to them, and the world hated them, because they belong to the world no more than I belong to the world. I am not asking you to remove them from the world, but to protect them from the Evil One. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world, and for their sake I consecrate myself so that they too may be consecrated in truth. I pray not only for these but also for those who through their teaching will come to believe in me. May they all be one, just as, Father, you are in me and I am in you, so that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe it was you who sent me. I have given them the glory you gave to me, that they may be one as we are one. With me in them and you in me, may they be so perfected in unity that the world will recognise that it was you who sent me and that you have loved them as you have loved me.
Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may always see my glory which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Father, Upright One, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me. I have made your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.I Corinthians 15:20-28
In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.Revelation 3:1-3,12,16-19
'Write to the angel of the church in Sardis and say, "Here is the message of the one who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know about your behaviour: how you are reputed to be alive and yet are dead. Wake up; put some resolve into what little vigour you have left: it is dying fast. So far I have failed to notice anything in your behaviour that my God could possibly call perfect; remember how you first heard the message. Hold on to that. Repent! If you do not wake up, I shall come to you like a thief, and you will have no idea at what hour I shall come upon you.
Anyone who proves victorious I will make into a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and it will stay there for ever; I will inscribe on it the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which is coming down from my God in heaven, and my own new name as well.
'...but since you are neither hot nor cold, but only lukewarm, I will spit you out of my mouth. You say to yourself: I am rich, I have made a fortune and have everything I want, never realising that you are wretchedly and pitiably poor, and blind and naked too. I warn you, buy from me the gold that has been tested in the fire to make you truly rich, and white robes to clothe you and hide your shameful nakedness, and ointment to put on your eyes to enable you to see. I reprove and train those whom I love: so repent in real earnest.'Revelation 5:9-14
They sang a new hymn: You are worthy to take the scroll and to break its seals, because you were sacrificed, and with your blood you bought people for God of every race, language, people and nation and made them a line of kings and priests for God, to rule the world.
In my vision, I heard the sound of an immense number of angels gathered round the throne and the living creatures and the elders; there were ten thousand times ten thousand of them and thousands upon thousands, loudly chanting:Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing.
Then I heard all the living things in creation-everything that lives in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, crying:
To the One seated on the throne and to the Lamb, be all praise, honour, glory and power, for ever and ever.
And the four living creatures said, 'Amen'; and the elders prostrated themselves to worship.
Revelation 7:14-17
I answered him, 'You can tell me, sir.' Then he said, 'These are the people who have been through the great trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb. That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary; and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind will never plague them, because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne will be their shepherd and will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.'Revelation 12:1-8
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth. Then a second sign appeared in the sky: there was a huge red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a coronet. Its tail swept a third of the stars from the sky and hurled them to the ground, and the dragon stopped in front of the woman as she was at the point of giving birth, so that it could eat the child as soon as it was born. The woman was delivered of a boy, the son who was to rule all the nations with an iron sceptre, and the child was taken straight up to God and to his throne, while the woman escaped into the desert, where God had prepared a place for her to be looked after for twelve hundred and sixty days.
And now war broke out in heaven, when Michael with his angels attacked the dragon. The dragon fought back with his angels, but they were defeated and driven out of heaven.Revelation 14:1-7
Next in my vision I saw Mount Zion, and standing on it the Lamb who had with him a hundred and forty-four thousand people, all with his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of the ocean or the roar of thunder; it was like the sound of harpists playing their harps. There before the throne they were singing a new hymn in the presence of the four living creatures and the elders, a hymn that could be learnt only by the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the world. These are the sons who have kept their virginity and not been defiled with women they follow the Lamb wherever he goes; they, out of all people, have been redeemed to be the first-fruits for God and for the Lamb. No lie was found in their mouths and no fault can be found in them.
Then I saw another angel, flying high overhead, sent to announce the gospel of eternity to all who live on the earth, every nation, race, language and tribe. He was calling, 'Fear God and glorify him, because the time has come for him to sit in judgement; worship the maker of heaven and earth and sea and the springs of water.'
Revelation 19: 7-8
let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb. His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen is made of the good deeds of the saints.'Revelation 21:1-10
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'
Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."' Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'
One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came to speak to me and said, 'Come here and I will show you the bride that the Lamb has married.' In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God.
Revelation 22:20
The one who attests these things says: I am indeed coming soon.
Amen; come, Lord Jesus.

Today's Readings
Hebrews 13: 1-8
Continue to love each other like brothers, and remember always to welcome strangers, for by doing this, some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Keep in mind those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; and those who are being badly treated, since you too are in the body. Marriage must be honoured by all, and marriages must be kept undefiled, because the sexually immoral and adulterers will come under God's judgement. Put avarice out of your lives and be content with whatever you have; God himself has said: I shall not fail you or desert you, and so we can say with confidence: With the Lord on my side, I fear nothing: what can human beings do to me?
Remember your leaders, who preached the word of God to you, and as you reflect on the outcome of their lives, take their faith as your model. Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he will be for ever.
Psalm 27: 1, 3, 5, 8-9
Yahweh is my light and my salvation,
whom should I fear?
Yahweh is the fortress of my life,
whom should I dread?Though an army pitch camp against me,
my heart will not fear,
though war break out against me,
my trust will never be shaken.Of you my heart has said,
‘Seek his face!’
Your face, Yahweh, I seek;
do not turn away from me.Do not thrust aside your servant in anger,
without you I am helpless.
Never leave me, never forsake me,
God, my Saviour.
Mark 6: 14-29
King Herod had heard about him, since by now his name was well known. Some were saying, 'John the Baptist has risen from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.' Others said, 'He is Elijah,' others again, 'He is a prophet, like the prophets we used to have.' But when Herod heard this he said, 'It is John whose head I cut off; he has risen from the dead.'
Now it was this same Herod who had sent to have John arrested, and had had him chained up in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife whom he had married. For John had told Herod, ‘It is against the law for you to have your brother’s wife.’ As for Herodias, she was furious with him and wanted to kill him, but she was not able to do so, because Herod was in awe of John, knowing him to be a good and upright man, and gave him his protection. When he had heard him speak he was greatly perplexed, and yet he liked to listen to him.
An opportunity came on Herod’s birthday when he gave a banquet for the nobles of his court, for his army officers and for the leading figures in Galilee. When the daughter of this same Herodias came in and danced, she delighted Herod and his guests; so the king said to the girl, ‘Ask me anything you like and I will give it you.’ And he swore her an oath, ‘I will give you anything you ask, even half my kingdom.’ She went out and said to her mother, ‘What shall I ask for?’ She replied, ‘The head of John the Baptist.’ The girl at once rushed back to the king and made her request, ‘I want you to give me John the Baptist’s head, immediately, on a dish.’ The king was deeply distressed but, thinking of the oaths he had sworn and of his guests, he was reluctant to break his word to her. At once the king sent one of the bodyguard with orders to bring John’s head. The man went off and beheaded him in the prison; then he brought the head on a dish and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother. When John’s disciples heard about this, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
R. My whole life has been a life
of surrendering to Thee my God.
When night fall comes the darkness
crouches in and we know it
is time to recoup and to give
to God what is ourselves at
rest so we can give ourselves
anew at daybreak, for every
day is a gift from God.
We are here to love and to serve
God and our days move on
in petty pace as we travel
on this journey the Creator has put
us on. We are His and He put
us on this earth for His purpose.
God wants us to grow in knowledge
and love – He gives us baptism
and in baptism a sharing in
His life, but we see Jesus and
the life of Jesus and he taught
us about life with His life.
He taught us, yeah, though
we walk in the valley of darkness
His hand is ever upon us, every
moment of every day. Letter
after letter of Jesus over 25
years I have learned of His
ever vigilant presence with
me, every day, every moment,
every breath, every second,
He sustains my life – I
belong to Him. I trust Him,
I know His Might, I know
He abundantly fills me with
life, He is a Person, Jesus,
my Savior, I walk, not alone,
His presence is with me –
now, always, His comfort and
care, I know Him – even
in sorrow I can identify
with the cross of Christ and
know the power of being
in Him.
How was the cross of
Christ during His bitter
passion? For men surrounded
Jesus, the Son of God, and they
tested Him with their evilness
and He suffered. He suffered
persecution, hardship – He
suffered agonies to His body,
He knew the men, who despite
His suffering, would choose
evil and condemn themselves
to death eternally – Oh
yeah – hardship for the
lover, the Son of God, who gave
so much in His passion and
death, especially, for the
beloved soul and they
because of pride, jealousy,
anger, envy, slothfulness –
let the darkness rule in
the willful stubborn
spirit of iniquity and
choose the darkness of
sin to the light of the
love and gift of the Savior –
the gift of grace and
harmony, order God
wanted in their lives and
they chose disorder and
rivalry, rebellion and
seeking power even over God.
For we know the free
will is just that free and
it is to be disciplined
and follow under God –
Not seek power for ones
own vain power, but
seek submission,
surrender, peace, love,
joy of the Savior. Walking
in that cloud of witnesses
that went before them –
the lives of the saints –
who were shipwrecked –
tortured, crucified,
beaten and other
horrendous inflictions
of their body and spirit,
but knew the discipline,
the love of God, the
horrendousness of sin
and offense against God
that they would not
sin to offend their
precious beloved God.
What makes a man hold
tight to God in the face
of the battle of satan
to drive a man from
the joy of the light of
Christ and choose the
darkness of sin and
condemn themselves
eternally to hell. Why
would a man of free
will, created by God,
go there – choose power
and evil to good, when
God the Father loved us so much
to send His Son Jesus
our Savior.
Why would a man
choose darkness to
light, anger with ones
brother to peace –
secrecy and games to
serenity and a heart
filled with darkness
and lies to the warmth
of the love on fire for
him and the presence
of God in his heart.
This Movement, the
Blue Books are about
God's love. Letters of
love from Jesus on fire
for love of men. The
reality of His truth,
how God loves us –
the Light of the Son of
God, the comfort of
a heart full of the love
of God verses the
evilness and darkness of
sin, the deadly sins
that become such darkness
in a heart and held back
through the sin of greater
and greater pride.
The path to Jesus is the
path of trusting Him –
taking the hand of Jesus –
going away from rivalry
with those God sends
to us to help lead us
to the light, but the temptation
of satan and the free will
that rejects Jesus and
gives into satan can
lead a man to his
own condemnation
eternally if he refuses
to recognize God's hand,
if he chooses blindness
to light, darkness
and power, to surrender
and love, hatred and
pride, envy and jealousy
and anger to the warmth
of the Heart of the Love
of Jesus Christ. And gives
in to mortal sin.
Our days are numbered
aright and the story of
the Pharaoh and his
stubbornness is the
story of many a man who
chose the darkness of
rival, stubborn,
willfulness to the
surrender of God's gift
of love and peace
and harmony.
The devil is chaos
and confusion – he
never lets up with
the designs to tempt
souls to turn from
the light to darkness,
from love to bitter
hatred of his brothers –
the devil tempts and
pushes and a man of
deep pride many times
needs no one and in
envy wants no one
to help him – he is
in a state of trusting
no one even God
and his isolation,
stubborn will,
self enclosure
becomes greater and
greater darkness
and he chooses for
himself the deadly
sins.
When God gives to us
His law of love –
His Sacred Heart
His gift to obey,
love and serve Him
with a soft and
loving heart and
why would a man
walk in darkness –
prefer this to light –
Jesus: And every day I
give to you the
breaking of a new
day with the sunlit
sky and even a
man of darkness who
walks in sorrow
for his sin can
choose the light to
darkness.
I am all merciful
and loving.
I am Jesus, I give
you My Blue Books
My letters of love –
circulate these –
Jesus: Feed the hungry.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts. — Cycle A (partial) Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10 |

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD. — Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10 |
