Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. Do you feel the presence of the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

The Father, has a plan for us.
God wants this relationship with us.
We are here to grow in our intimacy
with God.
In this Lent we can spend time
alone with God and think of the
presence of the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit in our heart.

Jesus: Be alone with Me, close
your eyes, think of the presence of
God, All three Persons, dwelling in
your heart.

Meditate, empty your mind, think
only of the presence of God. Make
a spiritual communion, now.

Take time, be alone with Me.

Everyday during Lent, morning and
night, empty your mind, make a
spiritual communion, think of God’s
presence with you, close your eyes,
be alone with Me.

This will help you to grow in God’s
presence all day, the more you do
this, all thru Lent.

I went into the desert to pray for
40 days and be with My Father,
practice this every day during Lent.
Being alone with God. Knowing
My presence!!!!

R. God is so good!

Open my eyes Lord, help me to see.
God is Creator, I am creature.
God the Father created me with a
plan in salvation history.
A mother and father with children
bring in fruit from the tree and more
children maybe generations to come.
We pray for our future offspring to
have the faith, new life like somebody
did for us to have faith. (and be
Baptized!!)

We don’t put a bag on our head and
say: "Oh I’m dying
I feel sorry for me, the buck stops
here."
We can identify with Christ who died
to bring us “new life”.
Spread the Good News. The sun
comes up and goes down.
Today it snowed, yesterday people
played golf.
We don’t control the elements, the
sun and moon, our diseases, there
is God, the Divine God who is
above us with a loving plan, the
Father who created us to be holy
and pure and to go home to Him
forever some day.

I love the prodigal son parable
because it is true. I struggle, even
though my intentions, motives are
God-like, I have frustration, fear
(like Peter) and do things far less
than like Jesus, but I go to my
Heavenly Father and like a little
child tell Him, I’m sorry and He
loves me, forgives me and takes
me to Himself.

Oh this is the Good News.
He has a plan for our lives.
Pray for your children to come
to be baptized. Ask God to help
you see the big picture.
I see myself in His Plan of
salvation history.
God has given me children that
will probably have more children
and more children after that.
I already love them and pray for
them to be baptized and have
faith and know God and love Him.

Take the bag off your head, see
the big picture.
Mary stood under the cross, the
New Eve, Jesus dying, the New
Adam.

Mary appears and asks us to pray
for her children, who are lost, today.

Mary says, help me, we can listen
to Mary and pray united to the Mass.
The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary,
sacramentally made present.

Pray the Morning Offering as
members of the mystical body of
Christ.

Grace is outpoured, living the
Mass in our lives.

Pray for our children, pray as
Jesus showed us for all the souls,
Mary’s children.

We can offer our sufferings, joys
identified with Christ today, united
to the Mass in the Morning Offering,
through the intercession of Mary,
in the Holy Spirit, with all
the angels and saints and souls in
purgatory and grace is outpoured
for the priests, the Church and the
world.

The Good News is Good News.
Christ has died, Christ is risen,
Christ will come again.

See the big picture - we can help
offering our suffering united to
Jesus in the work of redemption.
Christ is the vine, we are the branches.

We are part of the Father’s Plan.

We can do a lot for the Church and
the world in our living as the baptized.

Oh God thank You for my life,
thank You for creating me, I love
You so much, to know You is to
love You.

To know God is to love Him and
others.

We were created to know, love
and serve God and thereby attain
our eternal salvation in heaven.

Oh God I love You, thank You so
much.

Vision, wider vision in suffering.
Suffering when dealt with properly
leads to new life.

All for the honor and glory of God!!
He is the initiator, I am the soul
waiting His favor. Amen.

Holy Spirit infuse in my intellect,
wisdom, knowledge and understanding,
please, I am open.

The interior life of the Trinity, I thirst
after love and knowledge in Him.

My soul is immortal!! Spread the
Good News!!

We are members of the family, the
Church, the Father’s family.

At the transfiguration:
“This is my beloved Son in whom I
am well pleased, listen to Him.”
Disciples listen to Jesus.

R. Jonah did not want to obey God.
Jonah did not want to straighten-
out the evil in Nineveh, he boarded
a boat to Tarshish.

A terrible storm came up and they
said something was causing this.

Jonah was thrown overboard. He
was swallowed up by a big fish.

When you run away from God’s
calling, things get worse.

We can make decisions based on
God’s will.

Making decisions based on whether
you are accepted or rejected by
others, is not following God’s will.

Do you make decisions on whether
or not you are afraid?

Mary did God’s will whether
carrying a pebble or a boulder.

God wants courage!
God wants faith in Him.

Do you make decisions on whether
it is difficult or easy?

Do you make decisions on whether
or not you are in control?

Obeying God means, doing it when
He wants, in His timing.

Do what God wants, how He says
to do it.

Do what God wants, when He says
to do it.

Do what God wants, the way He says
to do it.

God expects us to obey Him.

Obedience is the best way.

Obedience to God is essential, to
doing the will of God.

God is over.

God is ruler.
God is in control.

God gives us a free will.

All day we are making choices.

God is ruler of the entire universe.

God has a right to rule over us.

We must pray for faith.

You must pray for grace to obey
God.

Unbelief is an enemy to obedience.

Living in rebellion, has consequences
i.e.
Wars
Disorder
Etc.


If you believe what God says,
then, why don’t you obey?

God has a plan.

Obedience takes courage -
Obedience takes fortitude -
Obedience may not be easy
sometimes.

God calls us to be strong and
courageous.

The Israelites disobeyed -

God told Moses what to do.
Moses did not obey so, God,
called Joshua.

Moses had a hard job.

The Israelites were disobedient.

Obedience requires courage -

Wait for the Lord.
Do it in God’s timing.
Wait on the Lord.

Why did you disobey God?

God’s timing is perfect!
God has a plan for our lives.

Before we make decisions, we
should pray to Him.

We have a free will, we can step
ahead and do our own will.

The best thing is to do God’s will,
in God’s timing.

If we don’t listen to God, we lose
out.

We need to meditate on the Word,
the Word is our
Guiding Light.

The Word and the Eucharist is
the Bread of Life.

And the Bible is our text for life.

We listen to God’s Word.

The Word is our textbook for life.

God makes His will known to us.

Come Holy Spirit Come!!

We can keep working, that same
problem, over and over again in a
way that doesn’t work.
We may do this, because it is familiar,
but is not God’s will.

Ephesians 4:25-32

now Sinai is a mountain in Arabia and represents Jerusalem in its present state, for she is in slavery together with her children. But the Jerusalem above is free, and that is the one that is our mother; as scripture says: Shout for joy, you barren woman who has borne no children! Break into shouts of joy, you who were never in labour. For the sons of the forsaken one are more in number than the sons of the wedded wife. Now you, brothers, are like Isaac, children of the promise; just as at that time, the child born in the way of human nature persecuted the child born through the Spirit, so now. But what is it that scripture says? Drive away that slave girl and her son; the slave girl's son is not to share the inheritance with the son of the freewoman. So, brothers, we are the children not of the slave girl but of the freewoman.

R. If we are going to listen to God
and obey Him - we have to quit
sinning -

If I did offend God by sin, we ask
for forgiveness - RIGHT NOW -

We tell God, we are sorry -
If I do it again - I repent -
I deal with it -

God calls us to walk in the unknown -

Think of Abraham -

God wants us to follow God's
guidance -

God leads us many times into the
unknown -

God leads us step-by-step -

God is an awesome God -

Recognize your rebellious heart -

Ask God to cleanse us from all that
is not righteous -

Ask for forgiveness -

Beg for courage to be obedient.

God promises He will lead us on the
right path.

Beg for His blessings.
This has eternal consequences!

God loves us so much!!

Think positive!

Dear God,
Fill our hearts with light!
Fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit!
Help us to be pure!!


Are we ready if God called us right
now?

Are we living as servants of the Lord?

Are we true to our word?

The Lord will rule!
Jesus is the King!

Is Jesus the King for our hearts?

 

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

1. Mark 14: 32-44

They came to a plot of land called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, ‘Stay here while I pray.’ Then he took Peter and James and John with him. And he began to feel terror and anguish. And he said to them, ‘My soul is sorrowful to the point of death. Wait here, and stay awake.’ And going on a little further he threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, this hour might pass him by. ‘Abba,  Father!’ he said, ‘For you everything is possible. Take this cup away from me. But let it be as you, not I, would have it.’ He came back and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, ‘Simon, are you asleep? Had you not the strength to stay awake one hour? Stay awake and pray not to be put to the test. The spirit is willing enough, but human nature is weak.’ Again he went away and prayed, saying the same words. And once more he came back and found them sleeping, their eyes were so heavy; and they could find no answer for him. He came back a third time and said to them, ‘You can sleep on now and have your rest. It is all over. The hour has come. Now the Son of man is to be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Get up! Let us go! My betrayer is not far away.’

And at once, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, came up and with him a number of men armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. Now the traitor had arranged a signal with them saying, ‘The one I kiss, he is the man. Arrest him, and see he is well guarded when you lead him away.’

2. Envision Jesus and the apostles in
    the Garden.
3. Jesus suffered so much He sweat
    blood.
4. Try to see Jesus in such anguish,
    stooped over,
    walking to tell the apostles to pray.
5. These trials in Lent help us identify
    with Christ in His Passion and
    suffering.
6. Envision yourself with the apostles
    and watching everything happening
    in the Garden.
7. Think of Jesus being arrested.
    Envision this.
8.Think of the Last Supper and then
    getting up and on the way to the
    Garden.
9. See yourself as a witness there.

10. Matthew: 26:38

Then he said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful to the point of death. Wait here and stay awake with me.'
 

Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar

1. 2 Corinthians 5:21

For our sake he made the sinless one a victim for sin, so that in him we might become the uprightness of God.

2. Hebrews 4:15

For the high priest we have is not incapable of feeling our weaknesses with us, but has been put to the test in exactly the same way as ourselves, apart from sin.

3. See Jesus as He is whipped at the
    pillar.
4. See as if you are witnessing the
    brutal violence Jesus suffered.

5. Luke 24:26

Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer before entering into his glory?' 

6. We live the life, death and
    resurrection of Christ in our lives.
7. These men tear Jesus’ flesh.
8. They whip Him raw!!!
9. Blood flies in the air.
10. You see this.
 

The Crowning with Thorns

1. Matthew 27: 27-31

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus with them into the Praetorium and collected the whole cohort round him. And they stripped him and put a scarlet cloak round him, and having twisted some thorns into a crown they put this on his head and placed a reed in his right hand. To make fun of him they knelt to him saying, ‘Hail, king of the Jews!’ And they spat on him and took the reed and struck him on the head with it. And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the cloak and dressed him in his own clothes and led him away to crucifixion.

2. Sing: The King of Glory

4. Jesus’ head bled and bled.
5. Jesus' head had a crown of holes.
6. His eyes were full of blood.
7. Blood was dried and matted in His
    hair.
8. His teeth went through His tongue.
9. Jesus is the King of Kings
10. Jesus is Lord of Lords.
 

The Carrying of the Cross

1. Luke 23:26-31

As they were leading him away they seized on a man, Simon from Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and made him shoulder the cross and carry it behind Jesus. Large numbers of people followed him, and women too, who mourned and lamented for him. But Jesus turned to them and said, ‘Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep rather for yourselves and for your children. For look, the days are surely coming when people will say, "Blessed are those who are barren, the wombs that have never borne children, the breasts that have never suckled!" Then they will begin to say to the mountains, "Fall on us!"; to the hills, "Cover us!" For if this is what is done to green wood, what will be done when the wood is dry?'

2. Envision yourself standing next
    to Mary.
3. See Mary’s suffering.
4. See Mary when Jesus fell.

5. Sing: See the Eyes That Look at Mary

6. Sing: Little Baby Hands and Feet

7. Sing: God’s Love

8. We can carry our crosses united
    to Jesus.
9. We can see ourselves trying to
    help Jesus.
10. Jesus: Carry your cross.

 

The Crucifixion

1. John 19:25-27

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

2. Mary’s Message from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

3. Mary is the Mother of Jesus.
    Mary is our Mother.
    Mary is our spiritual Mother.
    We are body and spirit.
4. As Jesus hung upon the cross,
    Jesus told John to look upon
    Mary as His Mother.
    John represents all of us.
5. In His moments of deepest
    suffering and anguish, Jesus
    was thinking of us.
6. Jesus was thinking of us as
    pain racked His body, and His
    Heart full of suffering too.
7. Think of this scene, Mary and
    Jesus’ Heart were pierced with grief.
8. Mary has a powerful role in our
    salvation.

9. 1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is only one God, and there is only one mediator between God and humanity, himself a human being, Christ Jesus, who offered himself as a ransom for all. This was the witness given at the appointed time,

In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10
