Esther C, 12, 14-16, 23-25

 My Lord, our King, the Only One,
come to my help, for I am alone
and have no helper but you
and am about to take my life in my hands.

 I have been taught from infancy
in the bosom of my family
that you, Lord, have chosen
Israel out of all the nations
and our ancestors out of all before them,
to be your heritage for ever;
and that you have treated them
    as you promised. 

Remember, Lord; reveal yourself
in the time of our distress. 

As for me, give me courage,
King of gods and Master of all powers!
Put persuasive words into my mouth
when I face the lion;
change his feeling into hatred for our enemy,
so that he may meet his end,
and all those like him!

 As for ourselves, save us by your hand,
and come to my help, for I am alone
and have no one but you, Lord.
 

Psalm 138: 1-3, 7-8

I thank you, Yahweh, with all my heart,
for you have listened to the cry I uttered.
In the presence of angels I sing to you,
I bow down before your holy Temple. 

I praise your name for your faithful love and your constancy;
your promises surpass even your fame.
You heard me on the day when I called,
and you gave new strength to my heart.

 Though I live surrounded by trouble
you give me life — to my enemies' fury!
You stretch out your right hand and save me,
Yahweh will do all things for me.
Yahweh, your faithful love endures for ever,
do not abandon what you have made.     

Matthew 7: 7-12 

‘Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened. Is there anyone among you who would hand his son a stone when he asked for bread? Or would hand him a snake when he asked for a fish? If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! 'So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the Law and the Prophets.

                        put my trust in Thee.

                R. God creates the baby in the
                    womb – the child grows
                    and has things that
                    develop and work –

                God gives us the sun and rain –
                    the night and day –
                    the fish and animals,

                God takes care of all these
                    the birds of the air.

                How can we even understand
                    the mystery of the
                    power of the Almighty
                    God.

                In baptism we share in His
                    knowing and loving
                    activity –

                Our knowing and loving
                    capacity is elevated
                    in baptism –

                Do we control the temperature,
                    the snow, the rain,
                    the beautiful days and
                    the inclement weather?

                When children are little many
                    times they are not given
                    what they need emotionally
                    and some are
                    even afraid to ask –

                God gives us supernatural
                    virtues of faith,
                    hope and love in
                    baptism –

                Ask and you will receive.
 

                R. God told us long ago when the
                    Movement was young,
                    pray this Novena hourly –

                God is promising to take
                    care of us –
                    He gives us what we need –
                        We are told by Jesus
                            to ask.

                Fr. Carter always told me
                    to ask for the grace I
                    need most.

                We cannot control everything
                    around us or we could
                    have done something
                    about this corona-virus.

                We have tried to keep ourselves
                    healthy by wearing masks,
                    social distancing – not
                    socializing, etc.

                But we can get an appendicitis
                    and catch the Covid when
                    we go to the hospital –

                We cannot control every
                    person or thing around
                    us.

                We are called to trust and love
                    God.

                We need to pray for the virtues
                    of faith –
                    believing without seeing –
                Hope that God is faithful to
                    His promise –
                    He wants us in heaven
                        with Him eternally –
     

                R. I see Christ – going out –
                He protected us in
                    our lives –
                We must remember His
                    faithfulness.

                R. God loves us so much – He
                    wants us to ask – to go
                    to Him – to know He
                    is faithful –
                    He has a better plan than
                    we could ever have
                        for ourselves.

                Sing: Come to me Lord and possess
                        my soul.

    Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

Mysteries of Light

                The Baptism of Jesus

                (1) Matthew 3: 13-17

Then Jesus appeared: he came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John. John tried to dissuade him, with the words, ‘It is I who need baptism from you, and yet you come to me!’ But Jesus replied, ‘Leave it like this for the time being; it is fitting that we should, in this way, do all that uprightness demands.’ Then John gave in to him. And when Jesus had been baptised he at once came up from the water, and suddenly the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him. And suddenly there was a voice from heaven, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on him.’ 

                (2) These are the mysteries of
                    Light.

                (3) Jesus is the Light of the World.

                (4) In baptism we receive a sharing
                    in Divine Life.

                (5) Jesus paid a big price for this.

                (6) Our knowing and loving capacity
                    is elevated in baptism.

                (7) We receive the supernatural
                    virtues of faith, hope and love.

                (8) Christ must increase in us –
                    we must decrease.

                (9) Sing: Come to me Lord and possess
                    my soul

                (10) Thank You God for baptism.

                The Marriage at Cana

                (1) John 2: 1-10  

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’  There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.’ They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said, ‘Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.’ 

                (2) We see that Jesus changed
                    water into wine at the
                    Marriage of Cana.

                (3) We see Mary's powerful
                    intercession with Jesus.

                (4) We know in the Mass,
                    bread and wine are
                    changed into the Body and
                    Blood of Jesus.

                (5) God gives us a sharing in His
                    life in baptism and
                    feeds this life with
                    Himself.

                (6) Jesus is the bridegroom of
                    our soul.

                (7) Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

                (8) Jesus: Be not afraid, I love
                    you so much!

                (9) Sing: Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul.
                            Come into my heart and permeate my soul.
                            Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

                (10) My Jesus, my hope is in Thee.
                        I love You so much.
                        Thank You for giving us
                            the Eucharist –
                            the priest –
                            the sacraments.

                The Kingdom of God

                (1) God calls us to help build
                    the Kingdom of God.

                (2) Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants. 

                (3) Prayer to the Father - May 16, 1998

My Father,

        With my whole heart I desire to consecrate the whole world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I wish with my whole being for the salvation of souls and that man live according to Thy Holy Will. I pray my Father that we may be one in You and Your Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit that we may intercede to You for this cause.

        It is this burning desire within my soul to spread the consecration to the far ends of the earth, that the cries of Your children are cries of glory and honor and adoration, praising God as their God.

        My Father, at this moment a soul hangs on the edge of death. For all eternity they will go to a place. It is not the plot of this soul as it trods this barren land to decide on the edge of death. You created us that we would grow in our oneness with God, that we would mature more and more in our image and likeness to God.

        And so My Father, I pray with every cell in my body for this earth. In the name of Your Son Jesus I consecrate all the souls of this earth to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the Holy Spirit in union with the Holy sacrifice of the Mass with all the angels and saints and the souls in Purgatory.

        I beg You Father for mercy.
        I beg You Father for assistance.
        I beg You Father to help us to spread this consecration to the far ends of the earth.

        Please help us. We are helpless little ones coming in the heart of our Mother, bleeding from our wounds and our sins.

        Your Son, Jesus Christ, shed the last drop of His Blood for the salvation of mankind. We wish to unite in this sacrifice, sacramentally made present in the Mass all over the world at every moment. Help us to make reparation to You for the sins of men.

        Please my Father, help us. Held in the heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus we come as the children of Eve to beg for the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the Triumph of Mary's heart. Look upon our love, Your shepherds in the Shepherds of Christ, our sacrifices and devotion to You Our Beloved Father. Come by the means of the Holy Spirit and sanctify us and make us whole, that we are one in Your Son Jesus, praying to You, Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus in the Holy Spirit united with all the angels and saints, in the heart of Mary. We beg for help for special intentions concerning the Movement. We beg for help to reach the Churches to give these prayers of Jesus to them, to reach the schools and the family. Help we cry as poor banished children of Eve. Help us Father to do this work the Good Shepherd has entrusted to us. Help us to be one in You that we act as intercessors to help this world to be turned to God as their God, loving, honoring and adoring Him as the Lord of Host is truly present on His throne.

        We are Your children Father, we implore You to answer our prayer.
        We love You, we worship You, we adore You, we thank you and we sing from the bottom of our hearts, Holy God we Praise Your Name. Alleluia
