Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Today's Readings
Genesis 37: 3-4, 12-13, 17-28
Jacob loved Joseph more than all his other sons, for he was the son of his old age, and he had a decorated tunic made for him. But his brothers, seeing how much more his father loved him than all his other sons, came to hate him so much that they could not say a civil word to him.
His brothers went to pasture their father’s flock at Shechem. Then Israel said to Joseph, ‘Your brothers are with the flock at Shechem, aren’t they? Come, I am going to send you to them.’ ‘I am ready,’ he replied.
The man answered, ‘They have moved on from here; indeed I heard them say, "Let us go to Dothan." ’ So Joseph went after his brothers and found them at Dothan.
They saw him in the distance, and before he reached them they made a plot to kill him. ‘Here comes that dreamer,’ they said to one another. ‘Come on, let us kill him now and throw him down one of the storage–wells; we can say that some wild animal has devoured him. Then we shall see what becomes of his dreams.’
But Reuben heard, and he saved him from their clutches. ‘We must not take his life,’ he said. ‘Shed no blood,’ said Reuben to them, ‘throw him down that well out in the desert, but do not kill him yourselves’—intending to save him from them and to restore him to his father. So, when Joseph reached his brothers, they pulled off his tunic, the decorated tunic which he was wearing, and catching hold of him, threw him into the well. The well was empty, with no water in it. They then sat down to eat.
Looking up, they saw a group of Ishmaelites who were coming from Gilead, their camels laden with gum tragacanth, balsam and resin, which they were taking to Egypt. Then Judah said to his brothers, ‘What do we gain by killing our brother and covering up his blood? Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, then we shall not have laid hands on him ourselves. After all, he is our brother, and our own flesh.’ His brothers agreed.
Now some Midianite merchants were passing, and they pulled Joseph out of the well. They sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver, and these men took Joseph to Egypt.
Psalm 105: 16-21
He called down famine on the land,
he took away their food supply;
he sent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, sold as a slave. So his feet were weighed down with shackles,
his neck was put in irons.
In due time his prophecy was fulfilled,
the word of Yahweh proved him true. The king sent orders to release him,
the ruler of nations set him free;
he put him in charge of his household,
the ruler of all he possessed,
Matthew 21: 33-43, 45-46
‘Listen to another parable. There was a man, a landowner, who planted a vineyard; he fenced it round, dug a winepress in it and built a tower; then he leased it to tenants and went abroad. When vintage time drew near he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his produce. But the tenants seized his servants, thrashed one, killed another and stoned a third. Next he sent some more servants, this time a larger number, and they dealt with them in the same way. Finally he sent his son to them thinking, "They will respect my son." But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, "This is the heir. Come on, let us kill him and take over his inheritance." So they seized him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?’ They answered, ‘He will bring those wretches to a wretched end and lease the vineyard to other tenants who will deliver the produce to him at the proper time.’ Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the scriptures:
The stone which the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
this is the Lord’s doing
and we marvel at it?‘I tell you, then, that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.’
When they heard his parables, the chief priests and the scribes realised he was speaking about them, but though they would have liked to arrest him they were afraid of the crowds, who looked on him as a prophet.

R. Love is powerful
Infinite – ordered – perfected
Love works to make men
work magnificently in unity –
Love produces outcome –
Better to have loved
and lost than not have
loved at all –
God is perfect love
We are wounded and we must
see His reflection in what beauty
He gives us. We can see beauty –
see a baby and their beauty –
We see the beauty of creation –
we recognize the beauty of one's
talents and abilities. We are
open in our hearts and eyes
to God who is our Creator and
we are the creatures.
We reach to see the infinite
beauty, but we see reflections
of God and we rejoice at the
glimpse He gives us.
We are learning. We are poor
in spirit – humble in our
spirit – we don't know it all –
We are
learning – we are seeking –
we are students in God's world –
we are God's creation – God has
gives us life – He has created
us for a purpose – We are to
serve Him – we are to learn
to love more and more deeply –
about union – did you ever see
how powerful it is when men
are working together to produce
some great outcome. Men can use
their individual talents and with
this unique contribution work in
harmony, unity, love with others
using their unique talents to
produce a magnificent outcome.
A person that is prideful and
selfish and not seeing their
real role in the plan of the
heavenly Father – may use their
position to "act-out" their unfinished
business – their own lack
of loving themselves, their old anger
passed down from generations past,
their pride and need to control and
manipulate their brothers for
their own defects and lack of
purity and real respect for others.
They may use others to try to bring
them down to their darkness
and even try to get them darker
than they are –
Say a person uses authority
and manipulation and control
because they are prideful, angry,
not wanting to work with others,
even be with others, self-focused,
using others to boast their vain
ego, using others for slavishly
dependent relationships, using
others for envy and jealousy –
anger.
I had a wonderful vision. A
road was needed by so many and
it was muddy and rock covered
and in severe need of repairs.
It went up a big hill and was
so widely traveled, but men
with all their talents worked
hard to fix the road. They
worked in harmony – they worked
together – they directed people
who needed the road so they
could go around the work. These
men helped and directed people
in joy and love. They
had a goal to accomplish the road
in the quickest way as possible,
working hard, using their talents
and with the goal of giving it
all they had to complete the
project the best way they could.
They wanted the work done so
people could use the road as
soon as possible and they were
giving their unique talent to
do so – purely giving it all
they could to accomplish the
road – harmony – fun –
thinking about others, wanting
the work done.
A woman came who was put
in charge of the crew of men.
She was angry and tried to block
all supplies, she tried to frustrate
them so they did not have supplies,
they did not get directions, the
equipment began to break
and she worked hard to make
the work fail. She did not
respect the men's talent –
their desire to work hard –
she set traps for them to
sabotage the work and make it
fail – She wanted the work to
fail – she wanted men frustrated
and angry and she did it
in sneaky ways – passive
aggressive ways to make the
work fail – Then she triumphed
at the failure and she wanted
the work never accomplished
so that nobody could use this
road.
God gives us talents to work
purely with others to accomplish
great things for the building
of the Kingdom of God. We can work
God's plan – use our talents –
work, like men with a plan and a
purpose to serve God.
We can work to help build the
road men need to help in the building of
the Kingdom of God. We can purely give
our all to the purpose.
A man or woman in charge of an
operation can use authority
to help build God's Kingdom –
this is why God created us to
work for Him by the sweat
of our brow – Jesus sweat
blood in the garden for all
the souls that would be lost
despite His suffering and death.
Jesus saw all the 300,000
abortions a year with
people helping women
getting abortions – Jesus saw
these little lives with heartbeats
torn from their mother's womb –
limb by limb.
God gives life to a little baby.
Jesus was in the womb of the
Virgin Mary and was recognized
as Jesus in her womb. Elizabeth
carried John the Baptist at
her old age.
The devil is real. We see how the devil
tempted Eve in the Garden and she wanted
to be equal to God and she disobeyed
God and she worked to get Adam
to disobey. Adam and Eve were
thrown from the Garden of Paradise
because they disobeyed.
We have been given life here –
we are to obey God and His
commandments. God commands
us to love Him and put Him
first in our lives.
God has given us life. God
has put us to the test. Will we
serve God and love Him and
then get the reward of eternal salvation?

R. Dear Jesus, Give me Your hand to write this book for you. I am your servant. I want to be Your hand to this world. If you, Lord Jesus, would write a book, what would you say?
Jesus: My dear children,
Today I come to deliver a message to each of you. I want to tell you of each person's dignity, of their beauty and their self-worth. Each child is, oh, so uniquely precious to My Most Sacred Heart. Each child is full of the talents I have given to them. Each person is divinely created by God and given all these gifts to be happy and love one another.
The problem comes when you feel you will be left out. That you will be left by another who has trodden on you and will do it again. I see you all as My most precious children. I watch your every move and know all pain and anguish in your heart. My Heart aches, you have insecure feelings about yourself. I came to this earth I died for you. I felt cold, hungry, lonely on this earth. You need not worry that no one knows the pain and anguish in your heart. God created you with such special gifts and talents. It is important for you to raise above your wound and forgive those who hurt you.
You need only turn your will and your life over to Me and I will guide you in all your ways. I have all the Power. Many are not of My ways. The key to life is to recognize your faults, but still know you are this precious gift of My Father a gift to this world. This world is in need of your strength. Running yourself down, blaming others hurting them can cause you misery and pain. At this very moment, you are the precious creation of God!! You must operate with Me in your heart.
You need not run yourself down. I am with you every day guiding your ways, lest your foot stumble and you lose your way. You will not wander far from your path if every day you keep bringing your focus back to Me. If you dare let Me be at the helm, if you dare to really let Me run your life, I will do with you such wonders that you yourself would be amazed. But you will know with such ease when you did these things that you did not do them alone. You will know My power, moving the mountain, My power chipping at the stone, My power working on your hardest problem and you will be set free.
Oh yes, you will be set free and know a serenity that only comes from letting go and letting Me run your life. To you, My child, I have given all that is good. I made you My holy soldier, My warrior in a world of pain and hatred. You are the light that shines in the darkness, you are the coat to a cold child, you are the smile that warms a troubled and lonely heart. You are the comfort for everyone you meet, because My most precious Heart powers you, smiles through you, understands and loves through you.
Love your fellows for Me. There are so many troubled hearts that need to know My love. I can love through you if you let Me, I can be their friend through you if you let Me. I am He who comforts you and you are he who comforts them. My power is endless, it never runs out, there is not a power failure EVER. In your darkest hour, My light shines in the darkness and I say to you, "Oh blessed of My Father, look at yourself with awe, you are My creation, you are indeed so precious to Me, you are My light to this world, you are My hands and My feet and most of all My Heart."
Oh, you are My loving Heart, to those who are bowed down, to those who are lost in the darkness, you carry My smile and wear My armor in a world that is trying to tear one another down with hate and ugliness. There is gentleness, there is love, there is hope in you, if you open yourself up to Me. Be My knight to the world, wear My armor. I am your God and I will protect you from the darkness. Plug into My power, be not afraid, I go before you always and you can rest in My arms when you feel weary. You can put your head in My lap and weep, you will know, I am truly with you and you are My light to this world. I created you so special - to cast out fear in the darkness, to clothe the naked, to give hope to the oppressed, to be as I live in you and love through you and you are My smile and I touch My hurting ones through your love.
end of excerptYou are he who loves this world. You must stay plugged into My power-source This world is hungry for My love. It needs My love, I give to them through you. I am your God and I made you as a gift to the world. You are filled.
Focus on Me and your life will be abundant and whole, joy in suffering, freedom but you can take the knocks because you will know you do not go it alone, but with Me. I love you My precious child.
R. We are so blest – we see the reflection
of God in His creation. We have
been given our lives to enjoy and
obey Him. God is watching us –
He loves us – He gives us the
commandments to make us
happy. When we disobey God
we are not happy. We are to
live in love and harmony with
everyone and pray for them.
God calls us in the Shepherds of Christ
to start these prayer chapters praying
for the priests, the Church and
the world. God has called us to
help us spread these Blue Books
on how He loves us and wants us
to love Him and others and ourselves
by serving Him and helping to
build up the Kingdom of God.
God is watching us. He knows
our hearts – He knows everything –
He wants us to grow in greater
perfection and obedience and
be with Him forever in heaven.
God loves us so much, He wants us
with Him forever in eternity. We
must keep our eyes on Him and
live to serve and love Him and
do what He wants of us. We have
a free will to love Him or to
turn from Him.
In the first Sunday of Lent we
see how the devil tried to tempt
Christ after He fasted 40
days in the desert. The devil
is going to hell and he wants
men to follow him and
disobey God and walk in darkness –
God loves us so much. He commands
us to love. We are to follow Him.
He is the light of the world.
Help me spread these messages
from Jesus.

Jesus: Oh ye of little faith – I have
given you so many gifts and you
smite Me. I have loved you with
such love and those I have
blessed are the ones who have
rejected Me most –
How you offend My Most
Sacred Heart – when I
love you so much and
give you so much –
Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me?
R. The road that leads to eternal life is
the road of following Jesus - of working by
the sweat of our brow under Jesus – for
the building of the Kingdom of God.
We were not put here "willy-nilly" – we
see that Jesus' birth was announced and
the timing was God's timing when He came
into the world and the Plan of the Father
was that Jesus, the Son of God, would
do what He did. Jesus paid for our sins,
Jesus showed us how to live while He taught
and worked miracles. We receive a
sharing in His life in baptism. Jesus
remains truly present in the Eucharist.
Jesus gives us the Mass – so the saving
grace can be outpoured to us through
the centuries.
No man is put here – "willy-nilly."
The beauty we see with our eyes of God's
creation is only a drop in the bucket
compared to what is to come to the man
who loves and serves the Lord and
does God's will in love.
We can meditate on Jesus in the Garden,
how He sweat Blood in His Divine knowing,
knowing all the men who would reject His
saving grace because of stubbornness,
pride, anger, envy, jealousy, slothfulness,
gluttony and lust and would turn their
backs to God's love. God commands us to
obey the commandments of God.
Men have a free will. They can obey God or
disobey His commands and they can clutch
the darkness and sin and make themselves
feel they are equal to God instead of being
under God like God commands us to be.
I see against the back-drop of Christ in the
Garden the vision of Him on the cross of Calvary.
Jesus knew in the Garden the bitter detail,
the whipping at the pillar, the humiliation He,
the Son of God, would suffer, the
mocking, the crowning with thorns. Jesus knew
He would be spit on and He would fall under the cross.
But we see not only all Jesus suffered
for love of us, but we see what Eve did.
Eve made herself equal to God.
Eve listened to satan. Eve worked on
Adam to get him to sin.
We see Jesus always under His
Father's will – In the Garden – we hear
the Words – Jesus always
did the will of God the Father – Jesus
shows us we are always to OBEY
God's will –
I hear Jesus call out "I am alive, I am
alive, I am alive". Jesus, the Son of God,
did not give into satan ever! That Gospel
on the first Sunday of Lent reminds us –
The New Adam – never gave into satan's
temptations - and satan tempted Jesus
in the Garden after He fasted.
The man who is chosen by God and
lives likened to Jesus, in His image and
likeness is a gift to the world. He is
like the first scripture.
Jeremiah 17: 5-10
A group of wisdom sayings
Yahweh says this,
'Accursed be anyone
who trusts in human beings,
who relies on human strength
and whose heart turns from Yahweh.
Such a person is like scrub
in the wastelands:
when good comes, it does not affect him
since he lives in the parched places
of the desert,
uninhabited, salt land.'Blessed is anyone who trusts in Yahweh,
with Yahweh to rely on.
Such a person is like a tree by the waterside
that thrusts its roots to the stream:
when the heat comes it has nothing to fear,
its foliage stays green;
untroubled in a year of drought,
it never stops bearing fruit.'The heart is more devious
than any other thing,
and is depraved;
who can pierce its secrets?
I, Yahweh, search the heart,
test the motives,
to give each person what his conduct
and his actions deserve.
R.
He bears fruit for God's Kingdom –
He hears the commands of God and
he is not a "zombie" going down the
wrong path listening to satan and
committing sin after sin (capital sins).
A man can see himself above
authority, above God, above
everyone and operate in pride –
Pride, Control, Manipulation, being on
top is what he wants.
Man was meant to be under God –
to serve God, to obey just authority –
to see the cross of Jesus against
the back-drop of all of life – to live
in the Pascal Mystery of death/resurrection –
to know the resurrection in the sharing
of Divine life in baptism –
A man must Love - to - Love God, by obedience
to Him. Love to - serve God, by energy given to
Him in everything in his life united
to the HOLY SACRIFICE of the MASS –
everything under God –
everything under God's will –
Showing God we aren't like Adam and Eve
who disobeyed God and who did what satan
told them to do. They disobeyed God!
Then hid in darkness and sin.
We see through the eyes of God. We see
God's plan and we love it. We see through the
eyes of God His love for us, His plan for
us and we say "yes" God – it is
good for us to be here - serving You –
We are made to live here under God –
to love Him with our whole heart,
our whole soul, our whole being
and love our neighbor as ourselves –
and at the end of our life –
walk into the arms of God - while
God says "He is Mine"! "Job well done,
good and faithful servant"
Life is to be lived in Him. We ask God to come
and posses our soul. We exist IN Him – we dwell
IN Him, we love IN Him – we love
God – we want to serve God – we
love God's plan – we are more and more
one in God.
Life is to be lived. When we live
in Him – we live. The man who
puts himself "up" over everybody,
including God, in pride, is really turning
his life over to the devil and this
is not life. The man who makes
himself equal to God – full of
pride is not really living –
Manipulating human beings, controlling
human beings, living to snare them –
trick them – deceive them to get
control over them is not living. Life is
in God.
We live in God. We embrace the
mystery of God. We do not know everything –
God is infinite – we seek knowledge
of God's plan – we seek truth –
not falsity and deception, control
and pride.
Our actions are those based on
the goal of eternal life and the
reward of heaven. We are here
following the New Adam – living
under Him – loving God – saying "yes"
to the commandments – living in
God's truth – Life is in Him –
TRUTH is in us!
Life is not limited like the man
who tries to control his little world
in pride and envy and jealousy etc.
Life is a mystery – God has given us
glimpses that we know Him and
His plan for us more and more, not
on a natural level, but on a supernatural
level because of baptism –
we seek, we know, we delve into
the limitless, we seek the infinite
our eyes are on the eternal reward –
our lives are lived in the mystery
of God!
Our goal for ourselves and this
world are God's goals for us and
He is here – truly present in the
Eucharist.
Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.
... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.
The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.
At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).
R.
We accept with our free will the
plan of God. We have a choice to say
'yes' to God's plan or to disobey God. When
we say "no" to God's Plan we
walk in more and more rebellion
and darkness. God is light and in
Him is no darkness, we are to obey Him
and say "yes" to His plan for our lives.
We are made in the image and likeness
of God – we can seek to grow in this
image or seek the darkness, pride,
anger, control, hatred - etc. –
God is perfect – We are imperfect –
the more we seek God, obey God –
see through His eyes – the more
we grow in purity and perfection –
The more we live in the truth –
the more we walk in the light –
Life is in this –
Life is in God –
God is all good –
We want to be good –
God is all Good –
We know God more and more and
we love Him and we seek Him and
we want Him – We want truth
and goodness – we thirst after
it!
Strength and living is in God!
Men of darkness are weaklings,
sorrowing, belly-wailers,
"oh poor me – what can I
do to manipulate man for
excitement" DARK –
DARK – DARK –
I see the beauty of God's Goodness
and I live in the joy more and more of
Absolute Truth – God is Absolute Truth –
I go to God – Wisdom is in God!
God is our Creator – we are the
creatures under God – We
walk by faith!
It is an illusion for a man to
think he is independent and
needs no one –
He cannot live in such a
bucket of lies and really
live as God intends for
man to see and love and
be possessed by Him.
God is light and in Him is no darkness
God is love – God takes us to the
high road and we work by the
sweat of our brow – we see the
sacrifice of Jesus in the Garden –
we see the sacrifice of Jesus
on the cross –
We are always under God.

Baptism of the Lord
January 12, 2014
R. Fr. Joe writes:
The baptism of Jesus, as recorded in the gospel, was primarily to show that Jesus is God's beloved Son, that he was ever faithful to the will of his Father, that he was anointed by the Holy Spirit as Messiah and he was guided by the Spirit in the course of his ministry. "A new age under the power of God has begun." (The Collegeville Bible Commentary, pg 867)
Although Jesus was without sin and was God's Son from all eternity, Jesus' baptism does teach us some things about our own baptism. When we are baptized, we are fundamentally changed; God sends his Spirit into our hearts and we become, at that moment, God's sons and daughters. The Church reminds us of our baptism. For instance, at the Easter vigil by the Easter candle that is always lit during Easter and by the use of holy water. These reminders of baptism help make us aware of who we have become through God's grace, that we are God's sons and daughters and that we are to live always faithful to God's will. Remind yourself of that the next time you bless yourself with holy water and thank God for the gift of his grace that came to us through the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Matthew 26:39
And going on a little further he fell on his face and prayed. 'My Father,' he said, 'if it is possible, let this cup pass me by. Nevertheless, let it be as you, not I, would have it.'
Luke 22:42
'Father,' he said, 'if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done, not mine.'

As Jesus died on the cross we
knew He spoke to His Father –
We know that the stone was
rolled away from the
tomb.
R.
Jesus appeared His hands and
feet were glorified –
Wow
Luke 24: 1-6
On the first day of the week, at the first sign of dawn, they went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but on entering they could not find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled about this, two men in brilliant clothes suddenly appeared at their side. Terrified, the women bowed their heads to the ground. But the two said to them, ‘Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee:
Luke 24: 36-47
They were still talking about all this when he himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you!’ In a state of alarm and fright, they thought they were seeing a ghost. But he said, ‘Why are you so agitated, and why are these doubts stirring in your hearts? See by my hands and my feet that it is I myself. Touch me and see for yourselves; a ghost has no flesh and bones as you can see I have.’ And as he said this he showed them his hands and his feet. Their joy was so great that they still could not believe it, as they were dumbfounded; so he said to them, ‘Have you anything here to eat?’ And they offered him a piece of grilled fish, which he took and ate before their eyes.
Then he told them, ‘This is what I meant when I said, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, in the Prophets and in the Psalms, was destined to be fulfilled.’ He then opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, ‘So it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that, in his name, repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
John 20: 24-28
Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord,’ but he answered, ‘Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’
Luke 24: 50-53
Then he took them out as far as the outskirts of Bethany, and raising his hands he blessed them. Now as he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up to heaven. They worshipped him and then went back to Jerusalem full of joy; and they were continually in the Temple praising God.
Jesus: Oh ye of little faith – I have
given you so many gifts and you
smite Me. I have loved you with
such love and those I have
blessed are the ones who have
rejected Me most –
How you offend My Most
Sacred Heart – when I
love you so much and
give you so much –
Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me?

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts. — Cycle A (partial) Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10 |

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD. — Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10 |
