~ On April 3, 1996, at All Saints Church I wrote: ~
I was at All Saints, April 3, at the 6:45 a.m. Mass. At 7:00 a.m. the bells rang at the Consecration of the Mass. The Sacrifice of Calvary rings out all over the world and I can be joined at every moment to this Sacrifice. We unite to this Sacrifice praying for ourselves and our brothers. The bell tolls at every moment I live. Whether I am doing dishes, being with my family, or whatever, I make this my offering united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being offered around the world. I make my Morning Offering. United to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being celebrated around the world, I give myself completely to the Father in the name of Jesus in the Holy Spirit with all the angels and saints. I make this offering of my life to help in the salvation of souls. My offering is most pure and holy as I unite to the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
What is pleasing to my Father is that at every second I am trying to live in His will operating in love. My heroic or mundane tasks are most important as I give them in sacrifice united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
I live in this way, always united to the sacrifice of Calvary being made sacramentally present on our altars around the world through the hands of His beloved priests.
This is the moment of sacrifice. The bells toll all over the earth and Christ, Chief-Priest and Victim, gives Himself in the Mass through the hands of the priest. I give myself in love to help in the work of redemption.
So why are we not all one working on God's
plan anyway.
What are we to do as members of the body
of Christ?
One) we realize we are united to the Masses
going on around the world.
My life is a sacrifice an offering to the
Father.
There are obstacles when we feel really
strong God wants us somewhere.
What are the obstacles?
Whatever —
God sent Mary at Fatima to spread the
devotion to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate
Heart.
Before Mary appeared to the children
beginning on the 13ths — the angel appeared
to the children — telling them especially about
the Eucharist
Excerpt from the Spirituality of Fatima
by Father Edward Carter, S.J.
Fatima: The Message
Before receiving the six apparitions of Our Lady, May through October of 1917, the three Fatima visionaries were visited by an angel on three different occasions during the preceding year. He appeared to them in the spring, summer, and fall. Lucia (now Sr. Lucia) describes the springtime apparition of the angel:
On reaching us, he said: "Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me."
Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead touched the ground and made us repeat these words three times: "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You."
Then, rising he said: "Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications."
His words engraved themselves so deeply on our minds that we could never forget them. 3
During the summer of 1916, the angel again appeared to the three visionaries. He said to them:
Pray! Pray a great deal. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary have merciful designs on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices continually to the Most High. Make everything you do a sacrifice, and offer it as an act of reparation for the sins by which God is offended, and as a petition for the conversion of sinners. Bring peace to our country in this way.... I am the Guardian Angel of Portugal Accept and bear with submission all the sufferings the Lord will send you. 4
In the fall of the same year, the angel visited the visionaries a final time:
The angel came...bearing a golden chalice in one hand and a Host above it in the other. The amazed children noticed that drops of blood were falling from the Host into the chalice. Presently, the angel left both suspended in mid-air and prostrated himself on the ground, saying this beautiful prayer: "Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly. I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and [the intercession of] the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners." 5
Sr. Lucia relates how the angel gave them Communion:
Then, rising, he took the chalice and the Host in his hand. He gave the Sacred Host to me and shared the Blood from the chalice between Jacinta and Francisco, saying as he did so:
"Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God." 6
Reflecting upon these messages of the angel, we see how much they contain for our spiritual instruction.

The angel of peace
The Queen of Peace
In a world of turmoil — World War I — comes the
Queen of Peace telling us we must pray the
rosary.
53 Hail Marys in the rosary saying
Mary is full of grace — We are sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
God we implore You to shower us with Your
grace so we blind children will see more
clearly — not like at the bottom of a milk bottle
or not at all.
See — oh God impart to us Your vision.
Think of John 9 —
Jesus rubbed mud in his eyes
Remember Genesis — "You are dirt and unto
dirt you shall return"
Jesus puts mud in the blind man's eyes.
How was the vision before the fall?
How was it after?
I felt the victors
Revelation 3: 12-13
Anyone who proves victorious I will make into a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and it will stay there for ever; I will inscribe on it the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which is coming down from my God in heaven, and my own new name as well. Let anyone who can hear, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches."
The Victor to be a child of the Father
To dwell in the Spiritual womb of the Mother, Mary.
To be enlightened as the Holy Spirit works His
marvelous wonder bringing forth the children
of light from the Immaculate Heart of our
Spiritual Mother — bringing us forth children
of light.
The light was dimmed in the garden.
Eve formed from the side of Adam.
Well the Church is born from the side of
Christ — Blood and Water a sign of the Eucharist
and Baptism.
Oh how I love Baptism — I love the gifts of
Baptism — I want to be this child of light
to have my knowing and loving capacity
elevated — because I thirst after the knowledge
of God —
On the cross Christ said
"I thirst"
The poor banished children of Adam and Eve
don't even know how they thirst —
We can become more and more blind living
in the world.
We need the focus of the saints whose
eyes always gazed upon the gifts of the
Savior and yet lived deeply in the world while
Christ became so one in them as they acted
as intercessors — seeing and pleading for
grace for the precious souls.
My life is lived united to the Mass. My life
an offering — so one with the sacrifice of
Calvary pleading for the precious souls on
this earth today — Jesus gave His life for —
Pleading is my offering — living my life
as a sacrifice — an offering according to
God's will in love — being happy in being
called to be what He calls me to.
Yesterday I was with Sheila a handmaid
and she was full of joy for everything she
was doing. I said Sheila — come to Cincinnati
I need you here — she says — oh I love Cincinnati,
I loved it when I was here —
Sheila loves her vocation as a handmaid
of the Good Shepherd for the Shepherds of Christ
Movement. She loves what she is asked to do —
she puts her whole self into serving as
she is needed — simply and with joy.
When we give ourselves to Christ's army for
souls — we love being a member of the body
of Christ — we love offering our mundane
tasks up in love to the Father united to the
Mass being celebrated around the world.
Think of Mary and the 7 sorrows — what
does that teach us, but about Mary's "yes"
"yes" to the Father's will.
Mary lived to please the Father —
Mary lived so one with Jesus —
Mary is Spouse of the Holy Spirit
Mary, the sinless Virgin, so one in purity
with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Mary is the singular vessel.
Mary is Mother of the Church.
Mary is Mother of God.
I love the Litany to Mary —
We honor her in her Motherhood
We honor her in her Virginity
We honor her in her titles
We honor her in her Queenship.
I love the Litany to Mary it is easy for
me to sing it and rejoice and thank
God for the gift of Mary.
Let's face it what makes us happy?
Being more and more filled with His grace.
Living according to the Father's will in love.
Saying "Oh Father, I love being where
You want me — I serve You for
love of God and others — that means
loving for the sake of the souls
Jesus shed His Blood for."
"Oh Father, help me not to be selfish —
my life is so important to You —
help me to live like Mary to serve You" —
Oh Holy Spirit — fill me with Wisdom and with Light —
set my heart on fire —
like a child serving my Father.
Oh Holy Spirit fill me with the fire of
God's love —
One man can focus on details and that may
be important, but clouds have
silver linings — not to focus on
clouds and miss the silver
lining.
April showers bring May flowers.
Women carrying babies can bring forth
a beautiful child — filled with so
much light — a little child molded by
the Creator —
given in an act of love.
God is love —
God wants us married to Him —
Jesus gives us Himself in the Eucharist
to be so intimately one with us —
the bridegroom of our soul.
Saying yes always to a greater life in Him —
Like St. Paul says
Galatians 2: 19-20
...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.
Now listen
"It is no longer I who live, but Christ
who lives in me"
How intimate is this — the poor banished
children of Adam and Eve —
So one with the New Adam —
So intimate with the New Adam —
Galatians 2: 19-20
...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.
Oneness with God —
Being so identified with Jesus
Living united as a member of the Body of
Christ offering one's life joyfully
as the Father desires, in love —
living in the Holy Spirit.
Trees do bend though straight and tall —
Dear Holy Spirit protect us —
Help us to begin today — not wasting
one minute of our lives — loving the
Father's will.
Living in love to serve the Father as He
desires — so one in Jesus — living
in the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes we can get so caught up in our
little world of details and problems
we forget or are blind to the real
meaning of life —
Lets open ourselves up to the voice of the
Good Shepherd —

Our lives lived is a sacrifice
This is from the first Newsletter Fr. Carter told
me to include after his death
Excerpt from the Newsletter 2001 #1
1I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and runs away, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; he runs away because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep. (Jn 10:11-15)
Yes, the Good Shepherd laid down His life for us. And it is in this that we must lay down our lives daily in the Morning Offering, offering all we do as a sacrifice united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and great grace will be released for souls. We can identify with Him in this that we offer everything we do in trying to please Him and serve Him as a sacrifice united to the Mass. The more we tell others to pray the Morning Offering, the more people will lay down their lives for souls and the more grace will be released for the troubled hearts.
Jesus’ Heart is pure and holy, our hearts are tainted.
Mary’s Heart is pure and sinless. The more we unite our offering with Their pure and holy Hearts, the more pure our offering and the greatest grace will be released for the troubled souls.
Souls, it is souls He came to save. Do we want to identify with our beloved Savior? Then we must not miss an opportunity to lay down our lives as a sacrifice for His precious souls.
Oh, how His Heart burned with love for the souls when He mounted the cross, covered with Blood and gave Himself as a sacrifice for souls.
Yes, the Good Shepherd laid down His life for His flock and we as His faithful shepherds must lay down our lives for His flock today.
There are millions of elderly that cry out daily, "Oh, God why am I here today?" In giving them a small card as simple as the ones that follow, they can offer their lives for souls which can help bring down great grace for the souls of this earth.
Say daily God, I give you my life

Morning Offering My dear Father, I offer you this day all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit. I unite with our Mother Mary, all the angels and saints, and all the souls in purgatory to pray to the Father for myself, for each member of my family, for my friends, for all people throughout the world, for all the souls in purgatory, and for all other intentions of the sacred Heart. I love You, Jesus, and I give You my heart. I love you, Mary, and I give you my heart. Amen. |
Written May 29, 2000:
When we come to Mass we make an offering of ourselves, all our sorrows, wounds, joys, our complete selves. We see our lives and we put ourselves in Mary’s Heart, ask to make the offering in greatest purity. In His Heart we offer the sacrifice IN HIM and WITH HIM.
We become one with Him as deeply as possible. We dwell in His most perfect Heart offering sacrifice to God for our sins and the sins of men. Our whole being is very active in the Mass as we realize more the power of this Sacrifice most worthily offered. We want to give ourselves as completely as possible, our past, all of ourselves, now become so one in the moment of sacrifice as we become one in Him pleading and begging to our God for purification, for help, for love of Him and all others. We give thanksgiving, worship and honor to Him, our whole being given as a sacrifice on the altar IN His pure and holy Heart. Being in the Immaculate Heart of our Mother, we offer sacrifice for the Church and the world.
We offer every precious moment of our lives, united to the Masses around the world, being one in Jesus. Every moment is a moment of sacrifice united to God. This is what we do in the Morning Offering.
The pages of the book of our lives are being written. These moments of our lives are so dear to God, for we offer our lives as a sacrifice for souls.
Are we spending the precious moments of our lives offering sacrifice to God for His honor and glory and giving our lives as a sacrifice for souls?
Write a short page every day or the following day, similar to an examination of conscience, seeing the good (so much good we accomplish we overlook, so many precious moments of joy we forget) and the times we were troubled.
The devil tries to keep us focused on the problems. We are His shepherds, helping to shepherd His flock, there is so much good we can accomplish every day. We should write a short page every day, date it, read over it when we are troubled, keep it in a book, see how many joyful moments we have every day. Give them to God as a bouquet of flowers placed at His feet on that last day, the pages of the life of our book. We will want all pages to be done in love, all for the honor and glory of God. |
|
We should pray the prayer from Jesus before His bitter passion.
I pray not only for these but also for those who through their teaching will come to believe in me. May they all be one, just as, Father, you are in me and I am in you, so that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe it was you who sent me. I have given them the glory you gave to me, that they may be one as we are one. With me in them and you in me, may they be so perfected in unity that the world will recognise that it was you who sent me and that you have loved them as you have loved me.
Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may always see my glory which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Father, Upright One, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me. I have made your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them. (Jn 17: 20-26)
Jesus’ Heart is on fire for love of us.
God the Father loves us so much, give Him the moments of our lives as a sacrifice.
Peace, Love, Oneness – One Body In Him.
Our prayers are answered. We must pray from the depth of our hearts. Giving ourselves in consecration to Jesus, consecrating our hearts to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Offer sacrifice.
Put the flowers as gifts beneath the throne of God.
Plead and beg for souls.
Offer sacrifice. Be united as a body.
And the bell tolls.
Do you hear the bells toll?
The moments of our lives we cannot live again.
We are here to love and honor God and to serve Him, to prepare ourselves for the life hereafter and to help others get there.
He is the Son of God.
He showed us how to be children of the Father.
He laid down His life for His flock.
He is the Good Shepherd.
We lay down our lives in our Morning Offering.
We lay down our lives and unite to the perfect Sacrifice of the Savior.
The moments go by with such swiftness and now here is the day, the kids are grown, the grandchildren have come, and we still say, "TOMORROW I will be about my union with God."
There are so many precious moments that could have been united as a sacrifice for special grace for ourselves and others.
When He was here on earth, He merited grace by His life and death.
We need to tap into this grace our Divine Savior came to earth to gain for us.
We must tap into this sacrifice.
The moments of our lives tick away. There are millions of souls in nursing homes that could be offering up their lives for souls. We have to unite ourselves and reach them, all the souls that will hear us and unite to this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. He is the Head, we are the members of His body, the Church. We must be united in the Mass, praying every moment together, being one in Him in this Holy Sacrifice so that great grace will be released.
All our most difficult trials, when we endure them with love, can help to bring down great grace.
The moment is now.
The bell is tolling.
I can only live in this moment.
I must unite it to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying for souls.
Every moment, whether of joy or suffering, can be a moment of grace being released for our needs, for the salvation of souls, to make reparation to God, to honor and love Him and obey Him.
OUR LIVES ARE INDEED PRECIOUS, every moment, a moment that our Father gave us as a child of God for His honor and glory.
Alleluia – God, help us unite as a body.
Alleluia – God, help us to see ourselves all one as the family of the Father with Mary our loving Mother.
How will the page of our book look for the Father? Whether we write or not, we lived it as He willed or we lived it against His will.
Were our moments, moments to give Him honor and glory, to help promote the kingdom, to help save souls and lead others to God? Did the moments help us have a higher place in heaven? Did we mature more in our love relationship with God?
My dear priests and sisters and all men, help all to offer their days in the Morning Offering. Special cards are available for children, youth, and adults. The more we circulate the little card to the elderly and young and to all, the more people with consecrated hearts unite to the Mass all day as they try to live according to God’s will, the more great graces will be released on the world for all souls, for our priests and the Church.
We offer every precious moment of our lives united to the Masses around the world, being one in Jesus. Every moment is a moment of sacrifice united to God. This is what we do in the Morning Offering. The pages of our lives are being written. These moments of our lives are so dear to God, for we offer our lives as a sacrifice for souls.
There is so much grace that can be released as we unite as a body and pray for the priests, the Church and the world. We are all gathered as a ministry praying at 6:30 p.m. We unite to the Mass and pray the prayers in the red prayer manual every day praying as a body for the priests, the Church and the world, followed by the rosary.
Please help lead souls to Jesus – fruit for the Kingdom! These are your children, the ones you lead to Jesus in churches, schools and nursing homes. You have so many children, lead them to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Send them to the fires of His Heart. He gave His life for their souls – they are your children, they are crying and being led astray! The print, radio, television and movie media often depict lifestyles opposed to God’s ways and the Ten Commandments.
Please help us to reach God’s people that they will consecrate their hearts to Jesus and Mary and pray as a body, united to the Mass for the priests, the Church and the world.
What will change the world? What will change hearts? God’s grace. The Mass goes on all day and we as members of the body of Christ need to unite and pray together as a body so that great grace is released for our priests, the Church and the world.
A primary mission of the Shepherds of Christ Movement is the priestly newsletter, the second most important mission is to pray for priests and the renewal of the Church and the world. Besides English, our materials are becoming available in Spanish, French, and Portuguese with the help of priest and lay translators and their bishops.
The priestly newsletter is not just for priests, but also for brothers, sisters, and laity who are interested in the spiritual life. It is centered in consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. It features writings regarding our union with Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit and Mary. The newsletter also stresses the Eucharist, the Church, prayer, and one’s responsibility regarding the social order. The newsletter stresses sound doctrine as found in Scripture, the writing of Popes, and other Church documents. It also presents selected writings from the saints and competent priest-theologians and others. If you would like it sent to you, please call and we will add your name to our mailing list free of charge.
I come to you today also to ask for your help. Will you please help to spread the priestly newsletter and tapes of Father Carter delivering the priestly newsletter to all priests possible? Could you help us to form prayer chapters to pray for the priests and the Church and souls? We need your help!
Here are the prayers that so many pray every day at 6:30, especially for the priests. Prayer chapters have helped many priests in parishes and people in these parishes to grow in greater holiness.
Will you form a prayer chapter in your parish and pray with us at 6:30?
One priest praying the prayers can tremendously boost the prayer power.
These are the prayers Father Carter gave us to pray in the Shepherds of Christ Prayer Manual. The prayer manual is the little red book included.
from Tell My People
Age of the Two Hearts
Jesus: "My beloved priest-companion, I have allowed you to experience in extraordinary fashion the riches contained in My Heart and My Mother's Heart. I desire that you tell all My people about these riches. I desire that My people consecrate themselves to My Sacred Heart and to Mary's Immaculate Heart. My people are living in the beginnings of the age of the Two Hearts.
"After the time of the purification is completed, this new era of the Church and the world will become firmly established. This era will be characterized by the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. All those who consecrate themselves to My Heart and to My Mother's Heart will help to establish this glorious new age. I am Lord and Master. Please listen to My urgent request. Within Our Hearts you will experience the love and security, the peace and the joy, which you all desire. I love My people with a tremendous love, and in My love I give them this message!"
Reflection: This is the Age of the Two Hearts! The surest road to sanctity in these our times is through consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. In making this consecration, and striving with God's grace to live it as best we can each day, we are contributing to the establishment of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and to the arrival of the reign of the Sacred Heart.
The Two Hearts and the Mass
Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people that they are living in the Age of the Two Hearts—that of My Heart and My Mother's heart. My people live in the initial stages of this great era. I call all My people to take up their refuge in My Heart and My Mother's heart. In Our Hearts they will become more and more transformed into My likeness.
"The greatest source for growth in devotion to Our Hearts is the Eucharist. I wish My people to attend Mass often, daily if possible. What a great gift I have given to My people in the Eucharist! Yet many of My people are indifferent to the treasures contained in the Mass. Think of it! My people are privileged to offer the Sacrifice of the Mass together with Me! And yet how many prefer to do other things rather than attend Mass. How this attitude offends My Sacred Heart!
"I long for My people to participate in the Mass and to receive Me worthily! Think of it! I, Who am your God, long to come to you each day! In the Eucharist I come to you in My Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Present within you, I long to take you close to My Sacred Heart, this Heart which is truly within you. The more you allow Me to do so, the more closely I press you to this Heart. I shower you with its riches. I abundantly give you great graces which increasingly form you in My likeness.
"I am Lord and Master! Please listen to My words. Pray, pray for a deeper understanding of the Mass. In union with Mary, approach Me daily in the Eucharist. I, your God, long to come to you. How much do you long to receive Me?"
Reflection: Everything in the life of the Church, and in the Christian lives of each of us individually, is centered in the Mass. Vatican II, in a few words, makes a powerful statement concerning the Church's Liturgy—at the center of which is the Eucharistic Sacrifice: ". . .in the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fountain from which all her power flows" [The Documents of Vatican II, Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, No.10 (American Press edition)].
