Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. We need optimism in our lives.
The resurrection gives this optimism
to us. No matter how grime the
news is we know the pascal
mystery of death/resurrection.
John 15: 18-21
If the world hates you,
you must realise that it hated me
before it hated you.
If you belonged to the world,
the world would love you as its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
because my choice of you
has drawn you out of the world,
that is why the world hates you.
Remember the words I said to you:
A servant is not greater than his master.
If they persecuted me,
they will persecute you too;
if they kept my word,
they will keep yours as well.
But it will be on my account
that they will do all this to you,
because they do not know
the one who sent me.
R. If we follow Jesus we will
suffer with the way the world is.
We must see reality through the
eyes of God. God is absolute truth –
Reality is in God. To see it through
the eyes of imperfect human
beings is to see it distortedly.
We must want to know ourselves –
know the deep secrets that can
effect how we act in situations
in dealing with others.How we treat others because
of these imperfect hateful ways
we may use in interacting with
others can have damaging effects
on others lives.We want to see ourselves as
sinners before God and needing to
be saved because we have
had faults and done things in
interacting as victims, in selfishness,
and tell God to help us to see
our faults because God loves
us so much even with our
faults. God wants us to be
humble instruments in which
He can bring love and truth of
His message of eternal life to
others.Think of it this way – they
were about to pour cement in
a hole for a fence pole.
Instead of the fence pole we
jumped in and let them
pour cement on us. How
much do you think we would
be moving around if we
stayed in that cement hole
until it hardened.Why would a man keep
himself stuck in cement in
a hard, hard heart meant to
be on-fire with the love of
God.Sadness comes from distorted
vision – not seeing the truth
of how special and loved we are
to God.Tell yourself you are not
too good, then go around mad
because others don't convince
you otherwise!We may be our own worse
enemy. Freedom is in seeing
things clearly more and more
in the truth through God's eyes –
that is having love and joy
and generosity and a real
big loving heart – being an
instrument of God's love in
the world –LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
The Eucharist is love.
God gives us the Mass – the
sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally
made present in which Jesus
comes to us, Body, Blood, Soul
and Divinity in the Eucharist.The Resurrection of Jesus
gave them optimism. The
Feast of Easter gives us
optimism today – We live
the life, death and resurrection
of Christ in our lives.
Romans 6: 9
We know that Christ has been raised from the dead and will never die again. Death has no power over him any more.
R. We celebrate the Lord's
Resurrection on Easter and
during the Easter season –Jesus died a horrendous
death for us so we could have
life in Him. Think of giving
yourself like Christ did for
our sins. We are to atone for
our sins – not act like we
are perfect and have none.Jesus loves us so very much.
We must believe this to be
able to be used as His precious
instruments in the world today.The world needs our holiness,
our lives as God operates in
us. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of
truth. We pray the Holy Spirit inspires
us to live God's will – putting
God first in our lives and
living in love.
John 15: 26; 16: 4
When the Paraclete comes,
whom I shall send to you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth
who issues from the Father,
he will be my witness.But I have told you all this,
so that when the time for it comes
you may remember that I told you.

is the Good News!! Think
Jesus rose from the dead
after that terrible death
by crucifixion.I think of the signs in our
life – Our Lady of Clearwater
R. The gifts of the waters –
And some turn their
backs for their dismal -
depressed life because they
seek the darkness and not
the light.On the Epiphany in 2017
these rainbows appeared all
over the lot –
R. We can grow every day more
and more in His life in us –
Grace is His life in us –
Going to Mass, thanking God,
loving God, treasuring the
beautiful friends and family
God has in our life this day –
or we can wrap ourselves in
anger and hatred and deny
that so we can stay in such
a dark state –We have a free will –
The person loving God
isn't selfish.
Priestly Newsletter Book II - September/October 1997
In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.
Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.
Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".

And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the great roar of thunder, answering, 'Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God Almighty has begun; let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb.

The Apostles were filled
with joy because Jesus
rose from the dead. The
Holy Spirit came upon them at
Pentecost.Think of how Mary was
there with the Apostles
after Jesus ascended into
heaven –Christ rose and made
all things new!Jesus prepared them for their mission.

but now I am going to the one
who sent me.
Not one of you asks,
‘Where are you going?’

Still, I am telling you the truth:
